/Just to let anyone know, a duel that Yuya would be in where he uses Dark Rebellion in cannon, he will be using the Odd-Eyes XYZ Dragon instead. This helps me not have to explain different outcomes and focus on other things, since the effect is the same minus the fact that it can be used on XYZ monsters.
Fun Fact: the anime version of Lunalight Cat Dancer is actually worse than the IRL version. The IRL version has the added effects of not being destroyed by battle, and dealing 100 damage when attacking. The anime version: has been destroyed by battle without its effects being negated, and has never dealt effect damage through its own effect.
Writing a duel with Yuri is hard. Simply because of the card names.\
Chapter 6: Predator's Gaze
Osrelios was currently walking around one of the parking garages, acting as temporary security seeing as he didn't have anything else to do.
He then noticed a bright light. He hid behind a pillar and cautiously peeked.
He saw them. Serena and Barret. His eyes lasted on Serena a little longer than the amount of time he looked at Barret.
"Got a little crush?" His Blue-Eyes deck ace: Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon, teased.
"Maybe." Oz admitted. "Don't tease me right now, we've got to focus."
Oz then called Declan on his duel disk.
"What is it?" Declan asked through the call.
"I found two Academia members near my location. Sending visuals over now."
Oz pressed a holographic button on his duel disk and Declan saw the two members.
"I'll be right over. Stall them." Declan ordered.
"Yes sir." Oz replied.
Oz then stepped out.
"Stop right there Academia Spies!" Oz shouts.
Serena then jumps in surprise, while Barret has no reaction.
"We were spotted this early? We just got here!" Serena complains.
"Listen. Allies of Academia aren't welcomed. Go back to your dimension in peace or else." Oz commanded.
"Or else what?" Serena challenged.
"You'll go back by force." Oz declared, holding up his duel disk.
"Serena, allow me to handle this." Barret offered.
"No, Barret. I need to prove myself to the Professor. I'll do that by hunting down those XYZ Remnants. And if this guy wants to get in my way, I'll crush him." Serena declared.
"Serena and Barret. Nice of you to give your names to your enemies." Oz commented.
Barret then quietly reprimanded himself for giving away their names.
"It doesn't matter if you know our names or not. You're going down right here!" Serena shouts.
"I warned you." Oz calmly said as the two began their duel.
"Duel!" They shout.
"I'll go first!" Oz declared.

"I reveal Nebula Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon, in order to use Nebula's effect!"
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon!?" Serena exclaimed.
'Love it when they freak out like that. It's a rare card here, but not a rare card to me.'
"By revealing these two level 8 monsters, I can summon them both in defense position." Oz declared as he summoned the dragons.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon: Def: 2500
"Now, I overlay my two level 8 dragons! With them, I build the Overlay Network!" Oz declares.
"Number 107! Revive from the depths of time and space! The destructive light that ruled over the universe! Appear! Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!"
Tachyon appeared in its sealed state before unraveling into its true form. It roars out a powerful roar.
Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon: atk: 3000
"An XYZ monster... he must be one of the remnants!" Serena concluded.
'What kind of thought process is that? This is literally no different than Shun's racial profiling.' Oz thought to himself.
Getting back on track, Oz thought up a strategy. 'She most likely will go for Cat Dancer first and double its atk. I'd take 2 1800 hits since Tachyon is a Number, leaving me with 400 LP... this card however...' "I set two cards and end my turn." Oz declared.
"My turn!" Serena declared.
Serena LP: 4000 hand: 6
"I'll start by activating Polymerization! I fuse Lunalight Purple Butterfly and Lunalight Blue Cat!" She declares.
"Blue cat that prowls through the darkness! Butterfly with violet poison! Spiral into the moon's gravity and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Come to me! Beautiful beast that dances in the moonlight! Lunalight Cat Dancer!"
Cat Dancer appears and does a small dance.
Lunalight Cat Dancer: atk: 2400
"Next I activate Luna Light Perfume to summon back Blue Cat! And doing so allows Blue Cat to double the atk of one of my monsters! I choose Cat Dancer!" Serena shouts.
Lunalight Blue Cat: Def: 1200
Lunalight Cat Dancer: atk: 4800
"Now I use Cat Dancer's effect! I tribute Blue Cat to allow Cat Dancer to attack all your monsters twice each! And your monster isn't destroyed by the first attack!" Serena explains. "Now battle! Attack his XYZ monster!"
"Trap Activate! Defense Draw! I take no damage and get to draw an extra card!" Oz declared.
"I still get the second attack! Go Full Moon Cresta!"
Cat Dancer shot out a beam of lunar energy. The attack hit Tachyon head on, creating a dust cloud.

The dust cloud cleared and showed an unharmed Tachyon.
"What!? How's your monster still on the field!?" Serena shouted.
"Tachyon is a Number monster. Numbers can only be destroyed by battle with another Number." Oz explained.
"Such an effect." Barret comments from the sidelines.
"Grr. In that case I set a card and end my turn!" Serena says, frustrated. "Cat Dancer's atk returns to normal."
Lunalight Cat Dancer: atk: 2400
"My turn! Draw!" Oz shouts.
Osrelios LP: 2200 hand: 3
Oz saw the card in his hand and smirked.
Oz then glanced at Serena. "You know. I can tell that your duel style is a bit too straightforward. You rushed right in without regards to what kind of plays I could've had with my set cards. That's honestly foolish."
"Who are you calling foolish!?" Serena shouts.
"You. I'm calling you foolish. There's nothing wrong with playing offensively, but that style falls apart when compared to more flexible strategies. For example, your attempt to bring my LP down to 400 was stopped by a single trap card. For a soldier, you sure are making a huge rookie mistake."
"How dare you call me a rookie! I'll have you know I've beaten nearly every duelist that I've fought."
"Were they all Academia newbies?" Oz asked with a deadpan look.
Oz just shook his head and continued his turn.
"Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, attack Lunalight Cat Dancer! Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!" Oz declared.
Tachyon charged up its attack and fired it at Cat Dancer.
"Trap card activate! Dimension Guardian! This trap makes it so Cat Dancer isn't destroyed by battle or by card effects!" Serena countered.
Cat Dancer is surrounded by a transparent barrier. The beam struck the barrier. Shockwaves were produced that hit Serena. She flinched when the shockwaves hit.
Serena LP: 3400
"Too bad! You failed to destroy my monster!" Serena gloated.
"Did I?" Oz said with a smirk.
Serena gained a confused look.
"I activate Tachyon's effect. Tachyon Transmigration!"
Tachyon reverted to its sealed state and Cat Dancer dulled.
"During the battle phase, after Tachyon declared an attack, weather or not it goes through, I can reset all monsters atk and negate the effects of all other face up monsters on the field. And then, for each card effect activated in the battle phase before this one, Tachyon gains 1000 atk and the ability to attack once more!" Oz explained.
"What!?" Serena shouted.
A light flew out of Dimension Guardian and into Tachyon, it then unfurled itself back to its true form.
Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon: atk: 4000
"Now Tachyon, attack again! Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!"
"Have you forgotten my trap?" Serena asked. "Even if you can attack again, you won't be able to destroy my Cat Dancer, and I'll just crush you next turn."
"There won't be a next turn." Oz declared. "I activate the quick-play spell: Saga of the Dragon Emperor! This doubles the attack of one dragon I control!"
"It's atk will be 8000!" Barret exclaimed.
"But why stop there!?" Oz exclaims. "I chain Saga of the Dragon Emperor with the quick-play spell: Concentrating Current! This increases Tachyon's atk by its current Def!"
1st boost: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon: atk: 6500
2nd boost: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon: atk: 13000
"Game over. Finish this Tachyon!" Oz shouted.
The attack consumed Cat Dancer and hit Serena head on.
Serena LP: 0
Serena was sent flying back by the attack.
"Serena!?" Barret shouted. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine Barret." Serena waved him off.
"If you played a little more cautiously, for example: activating Dimension Guardian sooner, you wouldn't have lost so quickly." Oz stated.
Barret then stepped forward, intending to duel.
"Allow me to interrupt." Declan's voice was heard.
Declan stepped out of the shadows.
"You did well Osrelios. Allow me to handle things from here. Besides, those two need someone to watch over them." Declan stated.
"Yes sir." Oz said as he took his leave. Before he fully left, he looked back at Serena. She was looking right at him.
The two stand there looking at each other for a whole minute before Serena looks away with a blush.
Oz snaps out of his trance and continues forward.
The next day, it was time for the third round.
Oz had decided to not tell Yuto and Shun about Serena. Shun might react violently if he learns about her.
Oz and the other contestants were all lined up. The battle royal was explained. Once the battle royal began, Oz made a dash for the lava zone.
A few hours go by and Oz had found no sign of the Obelisk Force. Although when he does find some of them, he knows exactly how he'll deal with them.
"Hey Dark Magician." Oz called out.
"Yes?" Dark Magician answered.
"Remember our first conversation? Didn't you mention that I was made into a Psychic Duelist?"
"Yes I do remember saying that to you. It was a necessary adjustment to make sure you can handle Ra's power as well as the Numbers."
"Well, a thought occurred to me. The Obelisk Force won't be playing by our rules, so why should we play by theirs?"
"Are you suggesting that you summon us for real and attack them?"
"Non-lethally of course. I don't want death on my hands."
"Fair enough. But yes, that seems like an appropriate idea. Just make sure to not use the Malific Dimensional Dragons. We don't know what could happen if you did."
"You're right about that. For all we know, I could be possessed by Z-arc if I used one of them."
"When are they supposed to show?" Dark Magician asked.
"Watching the anime, they show up around when Yuya gets in the Ruins zone. Then he went berserk and passed out. When he woke up, it was the next day. Judging by the daylight I'd say the afternoon at the latest."
"What time is it now?"
Oz checked his duel disk. 2 pm... oh they're going to be here soon."
After around 20 minutes of wandering and avoiding other duelists, Oz finally found his targets. A group of Obelisk Force members. 'I am so going to get targeted by Academia for this. Oh well.'
Oz got in front of the Obelisk Force members.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't a runt for us to hunt." One of them said as he held up his duel disk.
"Oh, I'd put that down if I were you. Here's how this is going to go. Either you retreat back to the Fusion Dimension right now and remain unscathed, or I send you back full of bruises." Oz threatened.
"Oh? Big words for a single target." Another one taunted.
Oz sighed. "I warned you. Come forth! Azure-Eyes and Dark Magician!" Oz shouts as he placed the two card on his duel disk.
The two monsters then physically appear.
"What the!? You can't do that!" One of them shouts.
"I'm not dueling. Instead I'll take the fight straight to you. Now attack!" Oz commanded.
The two monsters unleash their attacks on the Obelisk Force, hurting them immensely.
The group was covered in burns and bruises. Their duel disks immediately activated force return.
'Time to turn more of the "hunters" into "prey".'
Oz spent the next few hours attacking Obelisk Force members without giving them a chance to react. He needs to make sure that the carding of people stays at a minimum.
'By now, I'm sure that Yuya already has gone berserk and summoned Odd-Eyes Rebellion.'
Seeing as he couldn't find any more Obelisk Force members, he decided to go check up on Yuya.
Oz took off on Azure-Eyes.
Later, in the jungle zone, Oz found the group of an unconscious Yuya, as well as Gong, Aura, Mitch, and that fisherman guy who Oz couldn't remember the name of.
Oz landed near them and dismissed Azure-Eyes.
"Hey! Is everything alright?" Oz called.
"Oz! Something bad happened with Yuya!" Gong called out.
"What happened to him?" Oz calmly asked.
"Darling was confronting these three men who were all wearing the same Uniform." Aura explained. "He got really mad and summoned his two Odd-Eyes monsters before turning them into a new monster."
"I see... can I look through his extra deck and see this new monster?"
"Go ahead." Gong answered.
Oz took Yuya's duel disk off of him and opened the Extra Deck compartment.
He looked at the cards there. Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Odd-Eyes XYZ dragon, and Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon.
The two XYZ monsters were exuding darkness, but XYZ Dragon was also exuding light.
'I can't try the Malific Sealing here. There's too many eyes.'
Oz set the cards back in the duel disk, and set it back on Yuya's arm.
"Everyone!" Oz called, planning on taking leadership.
They all turned to him.
"Things have gotten a lot more serious. I can't give you the full detail, but just know that we are being attacked by what you could call a terrorist organization. They appear to have stopped their assault for the day, but there's always tomorrow. Rest up. We all will take turns keeping watch."
Everyone nodded.
It was the next day. And they day everything is going to go crazy.
Once everyone was up, Yuya finally started to wake up.
"Yuya you alright?" Oz asked.
"I- I think so. Everything is fuzzy." Yuya admits.
"Look at your Extra Deck."
"Uh sure, but why?"
"Just look."
Yuya complies and looks at his Extra Deck.
He notices Odd-Eyes Rebellion.
"This card... where did it come from?" Yuya asks himself.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out. I was told that you ended up overlaying your Pendulum Dragon and XYZ Dragon into that."
"I Overlayed them? How? I thought that XYZ monsters can't be overlayed unless an effect allows them." Yuya says confused.
"Two of your magicians say otherwise." Oz stated.
Yuya then started to go through his deck and found the two pendulum monsters. He read their effects and saw how they'd allow for such a thing.
'He shouldn't be able to summon that card, as he's not merged with Yuto. Could this be Z-arc trying to power up Yuya as much as possible to try and speed up his resurrection?' Oz thought to himself.
"Yuya, you need to listen. If you see Sora again. He is not your friend. He's your enemy."
"But... alright." Yuya relented.
"Good. Now be careful of the invaders."
"Invaders?"
"You'll know by their uniform, and mask. Do not hesitate against them. They will not listen to your smile philosophy. Defeat as many as you can." Oz said as he took off.
Oz then summoned Azure-Eyes and took off.
The two of them were attacking Obelisk Force members left and right. Each defeated member was force returned.
With Leo Akaba, he has received reports of how the Standard Invasion is going.
Each report detailed the same thing: a duelist taking out the Obelisk Force members without even dueling. Just summoning monsters and attacking outside a duel.
Leo knew what this was immediately. Back in the Original Dimension, when researching Duel Monsters, he came up upon reports of special people known as Psychic Duelists. Duelists who could make cards real.
'So a Psychic Duelist has emerged after so long. If he's taking out my soldiers left and right then he has to go. I'll send Yuri after him.'
Oz was flying on Azure-Eyes when he noticed Yuto on the ground.
Oz dropped down and dismissed Azure-Eyes. "Hey Yuto!"
Yuto looked up to see Oz dropping down.
Oz then lands on his feet, unscathed.
"What the!?" Yuto exclaims.
"Did Declan send you out to deal with the Obelisk Force?"
"He did." Yuto confirmed.
"Come on, I believe that the force is mainly concentrated in the lava zone. Our allies must be there as well."
"Right. Let's go."
The two take off towards the lava zone.
Once they get there they see the finale of the swarm duel that happens in the anime. Shun Pendulum summons for the only time he does in the anime.
Once that was over, Oz and Yuto made their way over to them.
"Everyone!" Oz calls out.
They all turn to see Oz and Yuto.
Oz then looks at Serena. "I see that your on our side now."
"After hearing the horrors that they did to the XYZ Dimension, I just can't stand to be around them anymore." Serena states.
"Wait... who is she?" Yuto asks.
"Now, an Academia Turncoat." Oz summarized.
"Wait a sec... she looks like-" Yuto began before being cut off.
"I know. But she's not." Shun interrupts.
As everyone was going to get going they heard a voice.
"Well, well, well two high priority targets in one place." A voice sounded out.
Oz recognized that voice. It's Yuri.
Yuri walked forward with a creepy smile on his face.
Yuto and Serena immediately recognized him.
"You... You're the one who took Ruri." Yuto stated.
"You!" Shun shouts.
Shun was about to challenge him to a duel when Serena interrupted him.
"Don't! That's Yuri. One of the elites. He's an extremely strong duelist." Serena warns.
"She's right you know. Besides, I'm not here for you XYZ trash. I'm here for her, and him." Yuri said the last part while pointing at Serena and Oz.
Serena stepped back, while Oz stepped forward.
'I can assume that he's not going to go down from a psychic attack. Most likely Z-arc will retaliate through him.'
"So I'm a high priority target? What did I do to earn the Madman's attention?" Oz asked.
"Something about being psychic or whatever I didn't really listen." Yuri answers nonchalantly.
Oz then steps in front of the rest. "If you want them, you'll have to go through me."
"That's the point." Yuri said as he readied his duel disk.
Oz did the same.
"Wait! He's really dangerous!" Serena shouts.
Oz then turned to her. Looking at her right in the eyes, he spoke. "I got this. I've been meaning to use a certain second half of my Gold Sarcophagus deck anyway."
Serena looked like she wanted to rebuke, but Gong put a hand on her shoulder. "I the man Gong have witnessed that particular deck of his before, trust me when I say that his deck is very powerful."
'He's probably thinking of Dark Dragoon.' Oz thought.
"Hey, I'll need your help. Let's give this creep the beating of a Millennium."
"As you wish." A deep voice sounded out.
"Duel!" Oz and Yuri shouted.
"I'll start!" Oz shouts.

Oz looked over his hand. 'I get that it's probably as an adjustment to a 4000 LP format, but why is the cost a tenth of its original? I can't focus on that.'
"I place Millennium Fiend Reflection in my Spell/Trap zone as a continuous spell!" Oz declared as he placed the card.
"Oh? A monster as a continuous spell? How interesting." Yuri commented.
"Next... I'll play the card that allows me to summon the strongest monster in this deck." Oz said cryptically.
"So he's going to summon that Dragoon..." gong comments.
"Very well, it would be more satisfying to beat you at your best!" Yuri exclaims.
"Alright then, just don't cry when I send you packing. I play the spell card: Millennium Cross! With this card I reveal all 5 pieces of Exodia in my deck!" Oz declared as holographic versions of the 5 pieces of the forbidden one appeared.
"Exodia!!?" Everyone shouted.
Oz internally smirked at their reaction.
Even Yuri had a look of suprise. "Oh. I did not expect to ever face an Exodia user."
"Well, you are now! With Millennium Cross' effect, I reveal the 5 pieces and that allows me to summon the Fusion monster: The Phantom Exodia Incarnate!"
"Forbidden god sealed within the 5 stone slates. Combine the individual powers of your pieces and reclaim a fraction of your true power! Fusion Summon! Level 10: The Phantom Exodia Incarnate!" Oz chanted.
The bulky Exodia Fusion monster rises up out of a crack in the ground.
The Phantom Exodia Incarnate: atk: ?
Everyone watching looked at the monster in awe. Yuri just looked at it with an excited look.
"I set one card and end my turn. However The Phantom Exodia Incarnate's ability activates! During my end phase I can set an Exodo spell/trap from my deck. I choose Raging Hellfire - Exodo Flame." Oz declared.
"Well then, it's my turn! Draw!" Yuri declared.
Yuri LP: 4000 hand: 6
" I think I'll start this off simple. I summon Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio."
Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio: atk: 1200
"Next I use its effect. By discarding Predaplant Lilyzard, I can summon Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra from my deck.
Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra: atk: 1000
"Since Darlingtonia Cobra was summoned by a Predaplant card, it allows me to add 1 Polymerization spell or Fusion spell to my hand. I of course choose Polymerization, and activate it." Yuri explained.
"I fuse my two Predaplants. Two vicious plants in the form of predators, combine your powers to birth a new poison! Fusion Summon! Level 7: Predaplant Chimerafflesia!"
The carnivorous flower like monster appeared.

'Now!' "When you activate a card or effect, Millennium Fiend Reflection summons itself!" Oz declared.
Millennium Fiend Reflection: Def: 1400
"Upon summoning itself through its own effect, I gain LP equal to half the current atk of one monster on the field. I chose your fusion monster!"

"Oh? Gain LP are we? Oh well, more for me to take!" Yuri said with a vicious grin.
"Battle! Predaplant Chimerafflesia, attack The Phantom Exodia Incarnate! Now my Chimerafflesia lowers your monster's atk down by 1000 while increasing its own by the same amount."
Chimerafflasia: atk: 3500
Chimerafflasia's attack got closer, then Oz smirked.
"When Exodia Incarnate battles, it gains atk equal to my LP!" Oz shouts.
The Phantom Exodia Incarnate: atk: 5250
"It has over 5000 atk!" Silvio exclaimed.
Exodia Incarnate charges a beam in its hand, read to strike down Chimerafflesia.
"I activate de-fusion! It splits my monster back into its materials." Yuri declared as his monster split.
Yuri then grinned maliciously. "I activate the quick-play spell: Predaprime Fusion! This fuses my monsters back together!" Yuri declared.
"Two beautiful flowers with an insect-alluring fragrance! Now become one, and from the hell beneath your petals, give birth to a new terror! Fusion Summon! Appear! Poisonous dragon with hungry fangs. Level 8: Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" Yuri chanted.
Yuri's ace monster lands on the field.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon: atk: 2800
Yuto looks at Starving Venom before feeling a small pain in his chest.
"You okay Yuto?" Shun asks.
"I'm fine. It was just a small pain." Yuto said.
'Most likely because I extracted the darkness, it's less painful for him.' Oz thinks.
"When Starving Venom is summoned, it gains the atk of all special summoned monster of my opponents!" Yuri says with an insane look.
Starving Venom Fusion Dragon: atk: 9350
'Oh. Oh no.' Oz thought to himself.
"Battle! Starving Venom! Bury his Exodia!" Yuri shouts.
Starving Venom sends out energy vines to bind Exodia Incarnate as it opens its large mount and charges up a beam.
"It's now or never. I activate my Trap! Raging Hellfire - Exodo Flames! This destroys your field!" Oz counters.
Exodia Incarnate breaks out of the energy vines before charging up a ball of fire. Exodia Incarnate throws the fire straight at Starving Venom, destroying it.
"Hehehe. HAHAHAHA! You fool! When starving Venom is destroyed, all of your special summoned monsters go with it! And you take damage equal to their combined atk!" Yuri laughs out.
A portal opens from the ground as Starving Venom's tail flies out, aiming for Exodia Incarnate and Fiend Reflection.
"Except that only one of my monsters is affected by that!" Oz counters.
Exodia Incarnate bats away the tail, as it then consumed Fiend Reflection.

"What? How's your Exodia still around?" Yuri asks.
"Simple" Oz smirked. "Exodia Incarnate can't be destroyed by your card effects."
"Tch. I set two cards and end my turn." Yuri declared.
"My turn! Draw!" Oz shouts.
Osrelios LP: 3950 hand: 3
"Now I activate my face down card, the trap: Eternal Soul! This has two different activated effects, however only one of them matter. I use its effect to call forth Dark Magician from my hand!" Oz declared as he summoned this deck's ace.
Dark Magician then stares Yuri down.
"Now during my standby phase, Exodia Incarnate's cost triggers. I pay 1000 LP." Oz explained as he felt his LP drain.
Osrelios LP: 2950
Oz then looked at his last two cards. He smirked.
"I activate Secrets of Dark Magic. I fuse Dark Magician with Dark Magician Girl!"
"The Master of dark magic and his apprentice combine their strength to advance their magical powers! Fusion Summon! Level 8: The Dark Magicians!" Oz chanted.
The combined version of Dark Magician and his apprentice appears on the field.
The Dark Magicians: atk: 2800
"Now! The Dark Magicians, attack Yuri directly! Double Dark Magic!" Oz declares.
"Not so fast! Trap Card! Call of the Haunted! I revive Starving Venom!" Yuri counters. "Now you can't attack me without risking damage!"
Starving Venom re appears on the field, looking mad.
'It's probably mad I destroyed it so easily.' Oz thought to himself.
"Sorry, but sometimes sacrifices need to be made."
"The Dark Magicians, attack Starving Venom!" Oz declared.
"Wait. Your actually going to crash out monsters!?" Yuri exclaimed, not expecting that move.
The dragon and the magicians charge up attacks before unleashing them at each other. The resulting clash caused an explosion that took them both down.
"Now your wide open! Exodia direct attack! Phantom Exodo Flames! And don't forget, when The Phantom Exodia Incarnate battles, it gains atk equal to my LP!"
The Phantom Exodia Incarnate: atk: 8200
Exodia Incarnate charges up a golden beam in its arms, before unleashing the beam straight at Yuri.
"Is this what it's like... to lose?" Yuri asks himself as he then start laughing maniacally.
Yuri is thrown back from the blast.
He hits three ground hard and Oz approaches him.
Yuri looks up to see Oz.
"Oh how the mighty fall. I'll let you go for now. Although your pride is in shambles." Oz said as he watched Yuri get force returned.
Oz then started to wobble. "Oh right, adrenaline running out."
Oz then collapsed on his back.
Oz heard running and saw Yuto and Serena running over to him, with the rest following.
Yuto helps him to his feet, along with Serena.
Serena then hugs him. "You idiot! Do you know how much trouble you were in?"
Oz said nothing as he was too busy blushing and being devoid of thoughts.
"Quite the show your putting on." Silvio comments.
Serena then blushes and let's go.
"Can you walk?" Yuto asks.
"Let me check." Oz says as he tries to walk forward... only to fall flat on his face. "No." He said muffled.
Oz had expended a lot of energy. Using his psychic abilities to summon monsters for real, and the energy required to use Phantom Exodia was very taxing.
Yuto then helped him back up. "I'll help you walk until you can by yourself." Yuto offered.
"Thank you." Oz said.
The group then headed over to where Yuya was, and watched the end of his duel with Sora.
Everything was then going on in a blur. Oz was just barely conscious.
Everything went how it did in the Anime, except with Oz and Yuto present.
Yuya ended up getting beat pretty hard by Declan.
Everyone agreed to meet back up at LDS in a week. Oz also agreed, but was still in and out of consciousness, so he just gave a thumbs up.
One thought that did cross his mind was Dennis. As much as Oz wanted to get Dennis out of the Lancers so the Synchro Invasion event doesn't happen, he doesn't have any proof that Dennis is a spy. Instead he'll just subtly feed Shun's suspicion about Dennis.
Once the XYZ duo and Osrelios got to the apartment, Oz wobbled his way over to the couch before instantly passing out.
Leo looks upon a defeated Yuri.
Yuri was explaining what happened.
"I started a duel with him, and at the first turn he placed a monster in the spell/trap zone."
"There have been records in the past of monsters being able to do that." Leo comments, before taking a sip of coffee from a mug.
"And then he played a spell card that summoned an Exodia Fusion monster." Yuri continued.
This information shocked Leo and he chocked on his coffee before spitting it out. "A what!?"
"That's right. It's called The Phantom Exodia Incarnate. It has two troublesome effects. The first is to gain atk equal to the user's LP when battling, which is a permanent change. Its second effect is to set Exodo spells and traps from the deck at the end phase. One of which allows for the total destruction of the opponent's field." Yuri explained.
"This psychic duelist is much more of a threat then I thought. You are dismissed Yuri." Leo commanded.
As Yuri walked out, Leo was deep in thought. 'He might not be a piece of Z-arc, but he's dangerous for sure. To have cards such as Exodia while being a psychic duelist, that makes him just as dangerous as Z-arc. I'll just have him eliminated before he gets the chance to go ballistic.'
Oz slowly wakes up, looking around he sees he's in his mindscape again.
Oz looked around and saw Ra.
Oz then bowed down to the god.
"May I ask why I am here again, Ra?"
"It is a simple reason. After having observed your duels, I could see that you are able to handle the energy strain of your Numbers, shown how you were able to use Number 107 without issue. However, upon observing your most recent duel, I have come to the conclusion that you won't be able to handle the power of us gods." Ra explained.
"No wonder using Exodia Incarnate was so taxing on me. I could've handled a few more hours of using psychic abilities to give the spirits physical forms, but using Exodia Incarnate drained nearly all my energy. I was only staying conscious through pure willpower." Oz said.
"If you are to continue this journey, you will need a better way of handling our energy. Thus I've decided to give you a special gift."
"What kind of gift?" Oz asked.
"A lesser version of the Millennium Puzzle. This lesser version won't allow you to conduct a shadow game, nor will it allow you to swap people's souls. But it will allow you to house lost souls if ever needed, much like the Pharaoh Atem was housed in the real thing. Additionally, it will act as a catalyst for your energy. It will supply you with the energy needed to handle us gods, as well as for your psychic energy."
"So in other words, I can use you gods without passing out, and I'll be able to use my psychic abilities for a much longer period of time." Oz summarized.
"Yes. Now get some sleep. Rest your exhausted spirit." Ra commanded.
Oz then started to fade into unconsciousness. Once he did fully Ra decided to do the same.
