It was the night of Ash's Gym victory, our heroes sat in their room at the Pokémon Center. Roan and Chloe were playing cards and Ash was sitting on his bed polishing his new gym badge.
"Badge number two," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Congratulations Ash," Roan said.
"Yes and also congratulations on your Corvisquire," Chloe said.
"That was so great to see, the first time I've ever seen an evolution," Roan said.
"I've read about it in books of course, but getting up close and personal is very different," Chloe said.
"And I have to say I thought it looked bad for you Ash, especially when Nessa had her Drednaw Dynamaxed," Roan said.
"You mean Gigantamaxing," Chloe said.
"You mentioned that when we first met," Ash said.
"As you have seen Gigantamax is very different from Dynamax, A Pokémon changes shape, Not only that but they each get a signature move," Chloe explained.
"But how is that possible?" Ash asked.
"Researchers have not figured that out, but I hope one day I will be one of those researchers who will find out," Chloe said.
"Hey, I was thinking, now that I won this badge, we can eat at the restaurant. How about we do that tomorrow?" Ash suggested.
"Good idea," Roan said.
"Yes, we will," Chloe said.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"Okay, then," Ash said.
"How about we play one more game and then go to sleep?" Chloe suggested.
"Okay," Roan said.
"Ash, you in?" Chloe asked.
"Coming," Ash said.
Ash put his badge in his badge ring and joined Roan and Chloe. After the game of cards, the three friends went to bed to go to sleep.
And while everyone was asleep, members of Team Doom arrived in Hulbury. This time there was a woman with that, her uniform was different that of the members of Team Doom and it looked more like armor. The woman had a scarlet red cape and eye mask and scarlet red hair.
"Let's go, we have a lot of things to do," she said.
"Yes, Lieutenant," The grunts said.
The woman pressed the button on her commination watch. "Scarlet Knight here, we are in Hulbury getting ready for the operation," she said.
Team Doom walked through the streets of Hulbury and headed toward a storage room. Team Rocket had been hiding in an alley and had spotted Team Doom.
"Oh no, not those people again," James said.
"What was their name again?" Jessie asked.
"I think they called themselves Team Doom," James said.
"And I think the woman was a boss," Meowth said.
"Shall we try to find out what they're up to?" Jessie suggested.
"We're just going to spy on them and move at the right time," Meowth said.
"And how do we know when the right time is?" James asked.
"Believe me we will know," Meowth said.
"Come let's go," Jessie said.
"Right," James and Meowth said.
Team Doom was in one of the storage rooms setting up their equipment.
"Ma'am, I hacked into the cameras," the grunt said.
"Excuse me? Scarlet said, she walked over to the grunt. You don't address me as ma'am. You say Lieutenant or Scarlet Knight.
"Sorry, Lieutenant," the grunt said.
"You said you hacked the cameras?" Scarlet asked.
"Yes, we have eyes all over Hulbury now," The grunt said.
"Good work," Scarlet said, she looked down at her watch. It's now midnight. In 12 hours and 30 minutes we'll be moving to action. Make sure everything's set."
"Yes, Lieutenant!" The grunts said.
The next day. Ash, Roan and Chloe left the Pokémon Center and walked toward the restaurant. Ash showed his badge and the three friends went inside. Once inside, a Yamper came running toward the trio and played with Chloe's Yamper.
"Cookie?" Chloe asked.
"Cookie nodded with his head. "Yamper," he barked.
"That's Sonia's Yamper," Roan said.
"So that means she's here," Ash said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe looked around to see if they saw Sonia anywhere, Pikachu had gone to play with the two Yamper.
"I see her," Chloe said.
"But who is she with?" Roan asked, he didn't recognize the man.
Ash, Roan and Chloe walked toward the table where Sonia and the man were sitting.
"Sonia," Ash said.
"Hey guys, What are you doing here?" Sonia said.
"We are coming here for lunch," Ash said.
"Yeah and then we ran into Cookie," Chloe said.
"I see," Sonia said.
"What are you doing here?" Roan asked.
Sonia looked around and then back at Ash, Roan and Chloe. "Can you keep a secret?" She asked.
"We can," Roan said.
"I have an appointment with Chairman Rose," Sonia said.
"Chairman Rose?" Chloe asked.
"Hello children," Rose greeted.
"Chairman Rose, I didn't recognize you," Roan said.
"That's kinda of the plan," Rose said.
"It's an honor to meet you," Chloe said.
"Thank you," Rose said. "Say, did you guys wait in that long line?"
"No, I have a Water Badge so we didn't have to," Ash said.
"You participate in the Galar-League?" Rose asked.
"Yep and I plan on winning that one," Ash said.
"Very curious to see what you've got young man," Rose said.
"Would you like to join us for lunch?" Sonia asked. "If that's okay with you, Chairman?"
"The more the merrier," Rose said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe joined Sonia and Chairman Rose at the table. Pikachu and the two Yamper brothers came their way and sat under the table.
And in the meantime, the restaurant was being watched by Team Doom.
"Target in sight," Grunt Nr. 2 said.
Scarlet turned to face two grunts. "You two, you know what to do now," she said.
"Yes, Lieutenant," The two grunts said.
The two grunts changed clothes and were dressed as two restaurant waiters. The two grunts left the storage room and went to the restaurant, they were received there by Waldo.
"They are inside," Grunt Nr. 2 said.
"Good, 25 minutes before we get into the action," Scarlet said.
Ash and his friends had gotten their lunch and were having lunch with Sonia and Chairman Rose.
"Sonia, why are you having your lunch with the Chairman, if I may ask?" Chloe asked.
"As you know I am very interested in Dynamax," Sonia said.
"Yes, we know," Roan said.
"I want to start a big research project and I was hoping that Chairman Rose will be able to fund it," Sonia explained.
"Will you do it?" Chloe asked.
I myself am interested in the history of Dynamax, so I am definitely thinking about it," Rose said.
I hope I can convince the Chairman with my presentation," Sonia said, she opened her bag and grabbed her laptop. "I'm all prepared."
One of the grunts dressed as a waiter walked over to the table where Ash and the others were sitting. Is there anything else I can do for you guys? She asked.
"Oh no, we are good," Rose said.
"Are you sure? Our dish of the day comes highly recommended," the grunt said.
"That was the sign! Go! Go!" Scarlet said.
The grunts left the storage room and stormed into the restaurant and summoned their Zigzagoon. The two grunts who were undercover removed their waiter uniforms and were back in their Team Doom uniforms and they also called out their Zigzagoon. Scarlet walked into the restaurant
"Okay, no one moves and then no one gets hurt," Scarlet said.
"Those are the same guys again that we met in the grass fields of Turrfield," Ash remembered.
"Team Doom," Chloe said.
"Team Doom?" Rose asked.
"They're a bad people, Chairman," Roan said.
"What are they doing here?" Ash asked.
"I have no idea," Chloe said.
Scarlet walked toward Ash and the others with two grunts, she started pointing at Sonia. "The data," she said.
What data? What are you talking about?" Asked Sonia.
"The data you have on Dynamaxing, give it to us," Scarlet said.
"I'll never do that, forget it," Sonia asked.
"So you don't want to cooperate?" Scarlet asked.
"I'm not giving the data to you," Sonia asked.
"If you don't want to cooperate then," Scarlet said, she grabbed a Pokéball and summoned her Pokémon. "Aegislash!"
"Aegislash," Aegislash cried.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Roan asked as he grabbed his Rotom-Phone.
Aegislash, the Royal Sword Pokémon. A Steel and Ghost type. Aegislash has two forms, one offensive and one defensive, that it uses in battle. Its Ghost-type powers can also control the movements of people and Pokémon.
"What do you want?" Chloe asked.
"We are here for the data," Scarlet said.
"And I've already said, I'm not going to give you my data," Sonia said.
"If you won't give it up, we'll have to take it away by force," Scarlet said.
"I won't let that happen," Ash said. "Pikachu!"
Pikachu jumped forward and stood ready to fight. "Pika," he squeaked.
"Now Scorbunny!" Roan said as he summoned Scorbunny.
"Bunny, Scobunny," Scorbunny squeaked.
"I thought you could use some back up and with Scorbunny's fire attacks we have an advantage," Roan said.
"Your little Scorbunny doesn't stand a chance against my Aegislash," Scarlet said.
"Don't underestimate my Scorbunny," Roan said.
"Scor," Scorbunny squeaked.
"Scorbunny use EMBER!" Roan commanded.
"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny squeaked.
Scorbunny used his attack, but the Aegish used his shield mode.
"What!" Roan yelled.
"That's Aegislash shield mode, which blocks attacks," Chloe explained.
"Aegislash use SCHADOW BALL!" Scarlet commanded.
Aegislash used his attack and hit Scorbunny.
"No, Scorbunny," Roan said, he ran to Scorbunny, who was knocked out. Roan grabbed his Pokéball and called Scorbunny back. "Get some rest."
"Knocked out by an attack," Chloe said.
"Pikachu it's up to you," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
Are you sure you want to do that young man? Scarlet asked.
"I will do anything to stop you," Ash said.
"My Aegislash can easily stop those attacks and there's a good chance one of the poor people will get hit," Scarlet said.
"Ash, the risk is too great," Chloe said.
"But what should we do?" Ash asked.
"Chloe, you know something that can help us?" Roan asked.
"None of our Pokémon are effective against Aegislash, I don't know what do think of now, Chloe said.
"Normal attacks are useless against a Ghost kind like Aegislash, so I can't use QUICK ATTACK, Ash said.
"We have to defeat Aegislash, but without hurting people," Roan said.
"As you can see there's no way around it, give us the data," Scarlet said.
"I will stop you," Sonia said as she pulled out a Pokéball.
"Is that your Blastoise?" Scarlet asked.
"How do you know that?" Sonia asked.
"We know all about you and what Pokémon you have," Scarlet said. "His attacks will certainly do a lot of damage, You don't want that to be one of these people, do you?"
"I'm not going to risk that, Sonia said as she put Blastoise Pokéball away.
"We'll not let you guys win," Ash said.
"Yeah, we stopped you before," Chloe said.
"And we'll do it again," Roan said.
Scarlet looked at one of the grunts and gave him the sign. The grunt walked up to Chairman Rose and grabbed him.
"Help!" Rose shouted.
"Oh no," Ash said.
"The Chairman," Chloe said.
"What were you thinking now? We trade, The Chairman for the data," Scarlet said.
"Don't do it Sonia," Roan said.
"You don't want him to get hurt, do you?" Scarlet asked.
"No," Sonia said.
Sonia opened her bag and took out the flash drive. You get the data, but then you have to let the Chairman go, she said.
"You have my word," Scarlet said.
Sonia was about to hand over the flash drive when Cramorant grabbed it with his beak.
"What?" Scarlet said.
"A Cramorant?" Sonia asked.
"That one belongs to James," Roan said.
"Oh no, that means Team Rocket is here, too," Chloe said.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"And make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said.
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"And James!" James said.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Cried Wobbuffet.
"What you three?" Waldo said.
"I knew you couldn't be trusted," Chaz said.
Roan looked at Waldo and Chaz. You guys know them?" He asked.
"They worked here the other day," Waldo replied.
"Who are those three?" Sonia asked.
"Team Rocket, a bunch of amateur thieves," Chloe said.
"We're not amateurs," Meowth said.
"A talking Meowth," Sonia said.
"Don't be impressed, he's still a thief," Chloe said.
"All right, you three give us the data," Roan said.
"I don't think so," Jessie said.
"The data is ours now," James said.
"We are now in charge here," Meowth said.
"I don't have time for games," Scarlet said.
"But we don't play games either," James said.
"If I were you, I'd give the order to let us go," Jessie said.
"And why would I do that?" Scarlet asked.
"Otherwise I'll give Cramorant the order to swallow the flash drive," James said.
"And you don't want that, I can see that,' Meowth said.
"Either you let us go now or nobody gets the data," Jessie said.
Scarlet sighed. Let them go," she ordered
"But Lieutenant," Grunt nr. 6 said.
"That's an order," Scarlet said.
The grunts stepped aside, Team Rocket walked out of the restaurant and fled.
"All of you go after those three," Scarlet ordered.
"Yes, Lieutenant," the grunts said.
"And get our hands on the data," Scarlet said.
The grunt holding Chairman Rose let go and left the restaurant with the rest of Team Doom. Chloe walked over to Chairman Rose and helped him up.
"Are you all right Chairman?" Chloe asked.
"I'm okay young lady," Rose said.
"And is everyone here okay too?" Roan asked.
"We are okay," Chaz said.
"I can't believe those three are bad, they were so helpful yesterday," Waldo said.
"I'm sure they had their own reasons," Roan said.
"They did, they wanted food," Chaz said.
"Come on, we gotta find Team Rocket before Team Doom does," Ash said.
"Yeah," Roan said.
"You guys go. I'll stay here with the others," Rose said.
"Okay, Chairman," Sonia said.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Sonia exited the restaurant. Ash grabbed Corvisquire's Pokéball.
"Corvisquire I choose you!" Ash said as he summoned his Corvisquire.
"Corvisquire," Corvisquire crowed.
"Corvisquire fly around here and see if you can find Team Rocket," Ash said.
Corvisquire nodded his head and flew away. Ash and the others continued their search again.
Team Rocket had fled to an alley. Cramorant opened his beak and James grabbed the flash drive.
"The data is ours," Jessie said.
"What are we going to do with it?" James asked.
"We'll give the data to the boss, of course," Meowth said.
Team Rocket Fantasy:
Meowth: The boss is frustrated because he still has no idea how to take over the world. But then we arrive and give him the data. And now he has the key to success.
Giovanni: Thanks to this data, I will finally take over the world. I now have power over the Dynamax and it's all thanks to Meowth and his friends, I will richly reward them for this.
Team Rocket started celebrating. Corvisquire flew over the alley and spotted the evil trio. He turned and flew toward Ash.
Ash, Roan, Chloe and Sonia were still looking for Team Rocket.
"Can't find them anywhere," Chloe said.
"Yamp, Yamper," Yamper barked.
"What is it, Yamper? Chloe asked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked and he started jumping up and down.
"Corvisquire," Ash said.
"Cor, Cor," Corvisquire crowed
"Did you find Team Rocket?" Ash asked.
Corvisquire nodded his head. "Cor," he crowed.
"Take us to them," Ash said.
"Corvisquire," Corvisquire crowed.
Corvisquire started flying again and the others followed him.
Meanwhile Team Doom had found Team Rocket.
"Give us the data," Scarlet said.
"I don't think so," Jessie said. "Prepare for trouble."
"And make it double," James said.
"I don't have time for this again, Aegislash use SHAWDOW BALL," Scarlet commanded.
"Aegislash," Aegislash cried.
Aegislash used his attack, James dropped the flash drive and he and the rest of Team Rocket were blown into the air.
"Not fair, we couldn't even finish our motto," Jessie said.
"I couldn't say my part," Meowth said.
"And now we lost the data, too," Jessie said.
"That's not great news for us," James said.
"And that this is happening now is not so great news for us either," Meowth said.
"We're blasting off again," Team Rocket screamed.
"Wobbuffet," Wobbuffet cried.
Team Rocket disappeared into the sky Ash, Roan, Chloe and Sonia arrived at the alley.
"Was that Team Rocket blasting off?" Roan asked.
"I think it was," Ash said.
"And I know why," Chloe said, she pointed to where Team Doom was standing.
"Team Doom," Ash said.
"Give back the data," Sonia said.
"I don't think so," Scarlet said.
"Now that we're outside, let's fight back, Pikachu," Ash said.
Pikachu jumped off Ash's shoulder. "Pika," he squeaked.
"Are you ready Yamper?" Chloe asked.
"Yamper," Yamper barked.
"Cookie, you can help too," Chloe
"Yamper," Cookie barked.
"This time you go for it," Sonia said, she grabbed Blastoise's Pokéball and tossed it. "Now Blastoise!"
"Blastoise!" Blastoise cried.
Roan summonded his Toxel. A couple of the grunts summoned hu Zigzagoon and the fight began. Scarlet's A was very strong and easily stopped attacks, but also managed to use a few strong attacks.
"That Aegislash of hers is very strong," Roan said.
"I don't know how long we can keep this up," Chloe said.
"We can't give up, we have to get that data back," Ash said.
"Make easy and give up this fight, let us go with the data and all this will be over," Scarlet said.
"I don't know how this fight will end, but I do know I won't let you go with the data!" Ash said. "Pikachu THUNDERBOLT!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu squeaked.
Pikachu's Thunderbolt managed to knock out many of the Zigzagoon. A Pokéball appeared and a Drednaw came out of it.
"A Drednaw," Roan said.
"That one belongs to Nessa," Ash said.
"That's right," Nessa said as she run up to the others.
"Nessa," Chloe said
"I heard from one of my people what happened at the restaurant and I'm here to help," Nessa said.
"Thank you, we can use all the help we can get," Ash said.
"Hulbury's own Gym Leader is here," Scarlet said.
"Yes and I want you to leave my city, villains like you are not welcome here," Nessa said.
"Let's see what you got," Scarlet said.
"Gladly," Nessa said. "Drednaw, use WATER GUN!"
"Drednaw," Drednaw cried.
Drednaw's attack managed to hit Aegislash with his attack. The fight went full-on between the two Pokémon.
"Lieutenant what should we do now?" One of the grunts asked.
"We have the data now, get ready to move out," Scarlet said.
"Yes, Lieutenant," Grunt 1 said.
"Scarlet called Aegislash back to it's pokéball. We're out of here," she said.
"Stop!" Ash yelled.
A few of the grunts dropped smoke bombs, a thick cloud of black smoke covered the area. When the smoke cleared, Team Doom was gone.
"They're gone," Ash said.
"And they got away with the data," Chloe said.
"We're sorry, Sonia," Ash said.
"It's okay, the important thing is that everyone here and in the restaurant is unharmed," Sonia said.
"What do we do now?" Roan asked.
"We go back to the restaurant, see how the Chairman is doing," Sonia said.
"And we need to get in touch with the police," Nessa said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe returned to the restaurant with Sonia and Nessa. Inside the restaurant, Officer Jenny and her officers were taking witness statements. Ash and the others were standing with Chairman Rose.
"And you are sure you are all right Chairman Rose?" Sonia asked.
"Yes, I am absolutely fine, you don't need to worry about me," Rose said.
"Glad to hear it," Sonia said.
Officer Jenny walked over to the group. I also need your statement," she said.
"Sure thing," Sonia said.
"What happens next?" Ash asked.
"Officers are still searching the entire city for Team Doom right now," Jenny said.
"Hopefully you guys can find some clues," Roan said.
"I guess it won't be that easy. Organizations like that know how to cover their tracks," Sonia said.
"In any case, I'm going to warn all the police stations about Team Doom and to watch out for them," Officer Jenny said.
"I'll warn the other Gym Leaders, in case Team Doom shows up in their city," Nessa said.
"Thank you, Nessa," Officer Jenny said.
Waldo and Chaz arrived with a couple of plastic bags and handed them to Ash and his friends.
"What's this?" Chloe asked.
"Your food," Chaz said.
"Those guys from Team Doom ruined you and this is also as a thank you for being so brave," Waldo said.
"And if you run into those two idiots and their Meowth, tell them they are no longer welcome here," Chaz said.
Ash, Roan and Chloe thanked everyone and left the restaurant again and went to the Pokémon Center.
Team Doom had returned to their secret base. Scarlet entered a room, there were two men waiting for her, like her they had more of an armor uniform. One man was tall, his uniform had no sleeves, he wore a maroon red eye mask and cape. The other man had crimson red eye mask and cape.
"Maroon, Crimson," Scarlet greeted.
"Scarlet, we heard what happened," Crimson said.
"Boss man won't be too happy about that," Maroon said.
"He's got nothing to worry about," Scarlet said, she pulled the flash drive from her pocket. "I've got the data."
"But you almost got stopped by a bunch of kids," Maroon said.
"I handled it," Scarlet said. "And I heard it's not the first time those kids tried to stop our plans."
"So what do we do now?" Maroon asked.
"We get those kids to stop causing trouble for us," Crimson said. "Team Doom will respond across the Galar Region."
Despite their efforts, our heroes still failed to stop Team Doom. What is Team Doom planning with the data?
