Chapter 2

AN: Hey guys! I'm back already! I'm sure you can see it in the disclaimer, but I added a crossover. I had already been thinking on it from the time I started writing the first chapter, and had to figure out how to go about it, as I debated using the three aces of the series. I decided on only using two of the three aces, and two of the knights. I think I have it figured out, but it will be a learning curve as I write this fic. Also, I know that honorifics are important for Japanese names, but like in my other fics, I am not really using them. I appreciate the Japanese language and culture, but I don't speak it fluently, nor can I read the language properly to fully understand it. I will also point out, that I have likely done this in my other fics as well, I have misspelled Weasley a lot, but I will leave my misspelling for comical relief and continuity on my part.

Last time:

"We are not friends, get that straight, Weasely. "Harry glared at the boy in front of her. "I do not know you, and have no intention of doing so, if this rudeness is what I can expect from you. To you, I am to be called Heir Potter. As for why I look like a girl, I am a Metamorphmagus. I use this form when I do not want the attention that my fame gets me. I do not like being famous for something that cost me my parents. Nel has naturally red eyes, and is not a 'dark witch' as you called her. Go bother someone else." Hari slammed the door shut, locking it as she did so. She retook her seat, resuming the game, but her mind, and those of her friends were not in the game.

It would be fifteen minutes later before the boy left as he tried and failed to open the door, and another seven hour before they would arrive at Hogsmead Station. Hari just wished she could enjoy a quiet school year with her friends, unaware of what was waiting for them at Hogwarts.

September 2, 1991 Hogwarts Express

Alear, Ivy, Hortensia and Chloe were playing cards, passing the time as they waited to get to Hogwarts.

"How do you think the others are fairing?" Chloe asked as she played a yellow three. "I know Veyle would have loved to be sitting here with you, Alear."

"I think they will be alright. I'll check on them when we get a little closer Hogsmead." Alear smiled as she played a wild +4. "I would have loved to sit with Veyle as well. All of s have been busy with Primary school work and training, add on top of that Ivy and I have ruler duties as well."

"That is true. I have been lucky enough to sit here with my little sister, though the same can't be said for you, Di-I mean Alear." Ivy caught herself as she drew four cards. "Harry is with them, so I don't see any harm coming their way."

Just as Hortensia placed her red skip card, the door to their compartment was opened without a knock. The girl who opened the door opened her mouth to speak, but Hortensia beat her to it. "Do you know how to knock? We could have been changing in here, only for you to open the door without care. What if a boy had been behind you?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Wait a minute, that's not important." The girl shook her head. "Have any of you seen a toad? A boy named Neville's lost one."

"I would think manners would be a first priority." Ivy spoke up, setting her cards down as she stood up. "As a girl yourself, you should be aware of how you are seen by your peers. If you want to be isolated because of your current attitude, you are doing a fine job." Ivy took out a handkerchief, and handed it to the girl to dry her eyes. "I know my words may be a bit... sharp, but you must understand. Quite a few of our classmates were raised in the magical world, and will look down on those of us born of non magical lineage."

"Ivy's right. We have the disadvantage, so our manners are the most important part." Hortensia calmed down as she looked at the girl. "I'm sorry. I tend to be a bit rash, but having to split our group up into groups of four has me a bit on edge. I'm worried that something will happen with the others. They should be in the compartment two doors down."

"I was just there a few minutes ago. They locked the door due to a rude boy shoving a girl with white and black hair into the hall while he insulted the girl with red eyes." Alear was on her feet in seconds, and ran past Ivy and the Brunette. "Oh. For someone that was nodding in agreement about manners, that was rude."

"You'll have to forgive Alear. Veyle, the white and black haired girl, is her little sister. Much like Ivy is to Hortensia here, Veyle and Nel are the only family Alear has left. She'll probably spend the rest of the ride there." Chloe apologized for Alear. "To answer you, I caught this little guy in the girl's lavatory under the sink a little while ago. I think he was thirsty." Chloe handed the toad she had been holding in a box to the girl. "Hope to see you again at Hogwarts."

"Ah, thank you. I hope the same." The girl looked at the toad. "Perhaps we can be friends, despite the house divides I've heard about." She left before she could hear Chloe's response, and without introducing herself.

Meanwhile, a few compartments away, Two brunettes, a tiny silver, a blonde, and a red-head were enjoying a snack, when a knock on the door caught them off guard. The door opened to show another blonde girl about their age.

"Pardon the intrusion, but may I join you for the rest of the journey? I couldn't stand the bragging and boasting that arrogant ponce Malfoy was doing any longer." The girl asked.

"Sure. I don't mind." One of the Brunettes replied. "Shamal, can you grab my wheelchair from my trunk? My legs have gotten stiff from the ride. It would be better to have it ready than to need it later and not have it."

Shamal moved to do so, and grabbed the shrunken wheelchair out of the trunk, before tapping it with her wand to restore its size. "Here you go, Hayate. Vita, can you help her move into it from the seat?"

"Fine." Vita sighed as she did so, before retaking her seat by the window.

Taking a seat, the new girl introduced herself. "Thank you for letting me join you. My name is Daphne Greengrass, Heiress of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Greengrass."

Hayate lowered her head. "My name is Yagami Hayate, and the little one on my shoulder here is Rein Zwei. Oh, right." She quickly raised her head as she face palmed herself. Rein slightly shifted as she waved. "I forget that outside of Asia, everyone introduces themselves with the given name first. May I try that again?"

"No need Ms. Yagami." Daphne smiled, but realized that she caught Shamal and Vita's attention. "Wait, do you two have the same last name?"

"Yes. I am Shamal Yagami, and this spitfire is our sister Vita." Shamal motioned to Vita, who huffed as she turned away. "Sorry about her, she is a bit hard to get along with at times."

The last girl bowed her head. "My name's Nanoha Takamachi." Nanoha smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Daphne noticed at that point strange marks on their hands.

"What are those?" Daphne wondered aloud.

"Ano, what seems to be the problem?" Nanoha caught her eyes were on their hands. "Oh, these marks? We don't really know. They appeared before we fell through breaches and landed at the Ossuary."

"You fell through a breach?" Daphne was gobsmacked. "Then you must have met Lady Magisval. She's the current leading expert on the breaches."

"We've met her, but we came from a different world than she did, and we have no idea where our breach's portal is." Hayate pouted. "I miss Zafira and Signum, and sad that I had my age regressed back to the point when I was finally healing and getting out of a wheelchair."

"At least you have Shamal and Vita with you." Nanoha was pouting as well. "I had just seen Vivio off to one of her friend's house for a sleep over, and Fate was on a mission." She looked at her left hand, seeing the mark on her hand that resembled Hayate's device with a lightning bolt behind it. "It's weird that the mark on my hand resembles your pendant while the ones or your hands looks like a lightning bolt."

"Actually, that is a rather big mystery. If anyone can solve it, I'd place my sickles on Lady Magisval figuring it out." Daphne seemed to sparkle as she spoke. "She may have only recently become well known, but her knowledge on various branches of magic has her regarded as the leading expert on the breaches." Daphne went on to explain everything she had read that her idol had discovered for the rest of the trip.

Hogsmead Station

The train arrived to the station an hour after it had gotten dark. After having all changed into their robes, Harry and his friends all gathered behind a giant of a man as he led the first years. Harry knew he would be asked why he was dressed like a girl, so he opted for the boy's clothes for school. He really didn't like having to use this form often, so he hoped to find an isolated spot on the grounds for him and his friends to train in. As the group of first years reached the docks, the huge man, who introduced himself as Rubeas Hagrid, instructed them to only have four in the boats. As Harry was helping the girls into the boats, he heard two girls scream out, just before a splash. When he looked over, he didn't see Hortensia, but saw the rude red-head from earlier, Ron Weasley. Looking to the lake, he found Hortensia trying to get back on the docks alongside a brunette he didn't recognize.

"Hortensia!/Hayate!" Harry and another girl called out as they rushed to help their friends back up out of the water.

"Hey, Harry. Come one, I've got a boat we can take without any girls in it. Come on mate, let's go!" Ron tried to grab Harry's arm as he spoke, only for a blonde and a red-haired girl to get in his way.

"Where do you get the right to knock others off the dock?" The blonde started, only to get pushed aside by Ron.

"You birds shove off. I'm only trying to grab my best mate and get him away from the dark witches he was sitting with on the train." Ron dismissed them as if they weren't important.

"Who are you calling a bird?" Vita Growled, reaching for the hammer pendant around her neck.

"Vita, Shamal, I'm all right." Hayate called out to them, making them turn around. The two girls whose names were just said noticed the auras coming off of Harry and the other brunette as they stood in front of the soaked forms of Hayate and Hortensia. "I may be soaked thanks to wet clothes, but I will be fine. I think this Harry here and Nanoha have a few words for him."

"You would be right." Harry breathed shallowly. "I told you on the train that I am not your friend, and yet you still claim to be my best mate." Harry and Nanoha both moved forward and grabbed an arm each, Harry on Ron's left, Nanoha on the right. "I think you need to cool your head off. Nanoha, was it? Help me drag him to Hagrid, before one of us gets in trouble for retaliating."

"Of course!" Nanoha smiled, sending a chill down Ron's spine. "I was just about to throw him in the lake as well. Hayate didn't deserve being pushed into the lake by him." The two dragged Ron to Hagrid, before returning to their friends to get in the boats.

Hogwarts, Scotland

"Aaah-Choo." Hayate and Hortensia sneezed as they walked up the stairs with their friends, Harry and Nanoha becoming fast friends due to the problem at the docks. Hagrid, the giant of a man, held all the boats back for a few minutes as he took the two back to the train get changed into dry clothes. While their Clothes may be dry, their hair was still wet, and the cold air made them feel just a bit colder.

"Are you sure you're ok, Hortensia?" Ivy asked as she walked next to her sister.

"I'm fine, Ivy." Hortensia wiped her nose. "Elusia is covered in snow year round, remember? It is much colder than here. I'm more worried about that Hayate girl."

"Hayate will be alright as well." Nanoha piped up from in front of the two. "We can handle the cold just as well as the heat."

Before more could be said, they were stopped in front of an elderly Scotswoman, who introduced herself as Professor Minerva McGonagall. She gave them a speech about the houses, before informing them that their delayed arrival has allowed the rest of the staff to be ready for them. Being led into the hall, all the first years were led to a stool by the Head table.

"When I call your name, step forward and be seated on this stool. I will then place the Sorting Hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your house. I expect all of you to be on your best behavior." McGonagall spoke loudly, before calling the first name. "Abbott, Hannah."

The list moved pretty quickly through the last names that started with A, and was mostly through B when the first of the group from Elyose was called.

"Briarwood, Chloe." Chloe sparked a few whispers due to her teal hair and bright green eyes.

"Ah, what's this? Not often I get the chance to peek into the head of one who has had their age reversed." Chloe startled a bit as she heard the voice in her head. Her hand started to reach for her enchanted satchel for her slim lance when the voice laughed. "Hahaha, I haven't gotten that reaction to my presence in someone's head before. You can relax, Miss Briarwood. I won't reveal what's in your head to anyone. Now, let's get a good look at who you are. A Noble girl from Firine in Elyose, loves Fairy Tales, and is a knight and retainer to her princess. You've even faced off against your friend's father, who just happened to be the Fell Dragon. If it weren't for you loving those stories, and the one you are writing yourself, I would put you in Gryffindor. Instead, I think it would be better to go with RAVENCLAW!" The sorting hat called out her house as she took it off.

(AN: I did this mind dive as a way of set up for the few I will do. Doing an in depth dive into each of the Fire Emblem characters and the Nanoha characters would be too much.)

"Ma'am may I say a few things to my friends before I sit at my table?" Chloe asked.

"Be quick about it, as we do need to continue the sorting." McGonagall allowed her to run to her friends for a few moments. Chloe nodded as she quickly ran over to her friends. She let them know that the hat reads their mind to place them, before joining her housemates at the Ravenclaw table. The sorting from there went by pretty quickly, sorting Ivy Dyruval into Ravenclaw, and her sister Hortensia into Gryffindor. Goldmary Fayre was saddened a little when she was sorted into Hufflepuff, away from her friend and princess. Alear Fellbrooke, and Nel Fellbrooke, both joined Hortensia at the Gryffindor table. Veyle Fellbrooke, joined Goldmary in Hufflepuff, after first running and giving her sister a hug. Daphne Greengrass shocked the whole school, as most expected her to go to Slytherin, but went to Ravenclaw, choosing to sit near Ivy and Chloe, after the Sorting Hat said they knew her idol. The sorting continued un interrupted until one point.

"Potter-Magisval, Harry."

"Potter? As in THE Harry Potter?" "What was with the Magisval part?"

The man at the head table in garish purple robes sat forward with a slight jolt. 'Magisval is the name of the woman that leads the research on the Breaches? How does Harry have a connection to her? My plans can't have gone that far off course.' The old man thought to himself. He hadn't noticed before, and likely wouldn't even still, that the silver instruments he used to monitor Harry and the bindings he placed on him had stopped working years ago.

At the far end, a greasy haired man looked at Harry in apprehension and curiosity. 'Interesting. The child looks mostly like his father, but his visible eye is like Lily's. I see none of the arrogance of his father in him, but what is with the silver streaks in his hair? I wonder if he will break my constant lack of being able to properly teach. What is Dumbledore thinking, having me only write the instructions on the board? I was taught safety, yet he has me only glare and act unprofessionally. Lily would never have approved of that.'

Once he got to the stool, Harry nervously sat down as McGonagall put the hat on his head. "Ah I've been expecting you Mister Potter-Magisval, or do you prefer Miss Magisval-Potter? No matter let's look in your head real quick to find which house you belong in." The hat got to work, taking quite a few minutes to decide. "Hmm. You are quite the difficult case here. You have the cleverness to make our older ravens jealous, the loyalty of our badgers, and the bravery of our lions. You aren't afraid to work hard, either, and are crafty in the tactics you use in your games of Knights and Wyverns. I know where to put you. Raviggh!" Harry was startled by the Hat's reaction. "Bloody Hell!? It seems the headmaster is using compulsion magic to make me place you into the Lion's Den. I want to put you with the Eagles, but I can't due to interference. Might as well. GRYFFINDOR!" The hat called out. "Beware young Potter-Magisval. I fear the old coot is up to something."

Passing the Sorting Hat back to McGonagall, Harry was about to join his friends at the Lion's table, when the old man in purple robes spoke. "Harry, I want you to come to my office after the feast. There is much for us to discuss."

Moving over to the Lion's table, Harry sat down between Alear and Hortensia, and across from Nel. He quickly whispered to Alear that they had an issue to deal with after the feast, and tuned back in to hear the rest of the sorting. The sorting had picked back up in pace until it hit the T's. When McGonagall called 'Takamachi, Nanoha," The Sorting Hat took a look in her head before freaking out at what it saw.

"What the deuce!?" The hat nearly jumped off Nanoha's head. She was currently occupying her mind with a combat simulation, as the hat watched her blast through multiple targets. Seeing her past, as well, it knew she was kind, hard working, and honest, but this was scaring it. "I-I-Is this r-really n-nessessary right now!? I'm supposed to just be seeing your personality to sort you, not witness a mental training session. Wha?! Why are you needing the equivalent of a magical nuclear war head to fight!? I'm done with this. I need to get off your head." The hat jumped from her head into McGonagall's arms. "HUFFLEPUFF, HUFFLEPUFF, HUFFLEPUFF! Keep me away from her head at all times. I never want to go through that again." This had most of her housemates be wary of what was going on in her head to get that reaction from the hat.

Sorting took a little bit longer, seeing Ronald Weasely was sorted into Gryffindor like the rest of his family. When he tried to shove the girls away from either side of Harry, the girls grabbed on to his arms tight to keep him away. He then tried to push Nel out from directly across from Harry, but failed there too. When the Sorting Hat got to the Yagami trio, it went quickly. Hayate was sorted into Ravenclaw, due to her vast knowledge of magic not currently known to the Wizarding World. Shamal was sorted in to Hufflepuff, and had to have Hayate and Nanoha help her hold Vita back when she was sorted into Gryffindor. The last boy, Blaise Zabini, was sorted into Slytherin.

The opening feast went by slowly, much to the annoyance of Harry and the girls. Ronald's constant questioning about his scar, and if he remembered what happened that fateful night was bugging him, just as much as the food flying out of Ronald's mouth. Once the feast was over, Harry and Alear followed McGonagall to Dumbledore's office.

"Ah, thank you for guiding Harry here, Minerva. You may go to take Miss Fellbrooke to the Gryffindor Common Room." He said, giving off his best grandfatherly smile with a twinkle in his eye.

"I apologize sir, but we have orders from our Legal guardian that none of the eight of us are to be alone with you. So If Alear leaves, so do I." Harry didn't look him in the eye. The hat warned him that the Headmaster was up to something.

"Now Harry, I assure you that it is a private matter. I really must insist on speaking with you. Alone." Dumbledore emphasized the alone part a bit forcefully, hoping his compulsions would work on Alear.

"I will not be going anywhere." Alear frowned as she grabbed Harry's hand. "We have our instructions, and will not change our stance."

"Young lady, show the Headmaster respect. Who do you think you are to disrespect him?" McGonagall started to scold Alear.

"Ma'am, it is the headmaster that is showing the disrespect here." Harry spoke out in her defense. "I already informed him of the instructions we were given, by our guardian, and he is refusing to listen to us."

"I am your magical guardian, Harry. I have a right to speak to my charge alone." Dumbledore spoke in a hard tone. "Miss Fellbrooke, I insist you leave, NOW, so that I may speak with Harry. PRIVATELY." Dumbledore's words made Harry angry as he saw Dumbledore's hand start to reach for his wand, which was on the desk in front of them. Just as Harry was about to reach for the wind tome on his side, Emblems Chrom and Robin revealed themselves.

"Easy now, Harry. It isn't wise to give in to anger." Chrom spoke with a voice of experience. "You can ask Robin here. When my sister Emmeryn died, I let my anger at myself for not being able to protect her cloud my judgment. I snapped, and lashed out at a man who understood her final act's meaning, and refused to even hear him out. True he was an enemy general, but at the end of the battle, I realized too late that my sister's word were not lost on him."

"Chrom is right. As a tactician, my job is to try and find the best plan that leads to as few losses for our forces. I failed to account for the trap that ultimately cost Emmeryn her life, and had to then lead the escape plan while trying to keep Chrom alive." Robin chuckled a little. "He was a handful, but that failure made us both stronger, and we grew closer because of it."

"Who are you, and how did you get in here?" Dumbledore demanded. 'My plans are failing. I need to find a way to regain control.'

"They are two of the legendary protectors from back home. Sometimes they choose multiple people to watch over. Chrom and Robin tend to alternate between Harry and Goldmary." Alear fibbed. She was not about to tell the Headmaster just who they really were. "Also, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, but Harry is registered with the Department of Child Welfare in the Ministry as the legally adopted son of Zelestia Magisval, who is also the magical guardian of myself and our friends."

"Impossible. I am his Magical Guardian. I know for a fact that I am. The only way possible is for him to have been kidnapped." Dumbledore protested. At that point, Micaiah revealed herself as well.

"Not so. I remember when he was six years old well." Micaiah got between the children and the headmaster. "I saw the extent of his injuries caused by his relatives. We know he was placed there by someone, and that he had multiple bindings on him to make him weaker. When Zelestia found and brought him back with her through the breach, he had been abandoned by his uncle. Left on the brink of death in the middle of a forest, and told he would be killed should he show up at their house again."

"Abandoned on the brink of death by his uncle?" McGonagall paled before she forcefully calmed herself down outwardly. "If you three will take the children out of the office and wait with them at the bottom of the stairs, I will be along shortly to lead them to the Gryffindor Common Rooms. I need to have a word with the Headmaster." Not needing to be told twice, the five of them exited Dumbledore's office. The moment the door closed, they could hear her start tearing into the old man angrily, as her tone took more to her Scottish heritage the more she spoke. The two children swore to each other to warn the others, and to never do anything to get on the bad side of their Head of House.

AN: Whew. That took a bit to figure out. I debated on many things for this chapter. Adding the Nanoha Characters was a tough call, but I think I can make this work. The emblem characters defending Harry was another hard one. I was tempted to do so in the Great Hall, but that seemed a bit too forced. I took out quite a few things that didn't sit well with me for this chapter, as I had more to the office argument that I didn't like as it just made it flow in a direction that didn't seam natural.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Despite the headaches I got trying to word it right, I really enjoyed righting it.

Give me your best guess as to who has which emblem ring/bracelet as their main partner. Shout out to whoever can get one of them right.
