My apologies for the late update. An unexpected situation happened in which my laptop developed a problem and subsequently CRASHED, and though I was able to save my files, the fanfics that I last saved were corrupted, and while the fanfics I've typed were among those saved, 50% of the progress was affected, hence I had to restart working on the chapters, hence I was unable to meet the deadline which the next update was supposed to be the last week of March.

So now I'm working on the next chapters and if this fic gets a review, I will have the next update ready. Now that I finished my explanation…time to get down to business…

Ch. 2: Shinjitsu matawa aete gēmu no mae no yakkaina shunkan

The scene shows that Tanjiro, Mitsuri and Nezuko are in high spirits after discussing about the recent events, such as defeating two members of the Twelve Kizuki, and what this means from hereon, and though Tanjiro and Mitsuri had a rough beating, the victory they attained was a huge moral booster and this helped them cope in recovering from their situation.

Despite this, Shinobu knew that the two Demon Slayer Corps members are not 100% recovered, and felt that they need to stay here for the time being, and said to the two that the village chief told her a while ago that Tanjiro and Mitsuri are going to spend a few more days resting here and she tells the two that they should refrain from straining themselves unnecessarily, which Tanjiro and Mitsuri nodded.

"For now you two need to take it easy for a while…meaning no fighting Youkai's the time being. Are you fine with it?"

"Yes."

"Do you wish to recover faster?"

"Yes."

"Good. Follow my advise. Got it?"

"Yes."

Then Aoi smirked as she brought out a bottle of sake, saying that as a way to pass up the time and to raise everyone's morale, she suggested that they play a Truth Or Dare game, which Shinobu stared wide-eyed seeing Aoi holding the bottle of sake and tried to confiscate it while questioning what Aoi is thinking.

"Aoi! What the heck are you doing?"

"Huh?"

"Why do you have a bottle of sake?"

"Oh…a previous customer gave it to me as a gift…"

"Are you sure about that? Explain yourself!"

"Well…you see…it's like this…"

"You better not give me a reason to punish you…"

"I'm telling you the truth! Just let me explain!"

Tanjiro and Mitsuri sweat-dropped as they watched the two girls bicker, as they have no idea that Aoi have a hidden side, while Kanao is a bit wary about what she just found out, and wondered what Aoi is planning when she proposed to play a game like Truth Or Dare.

But things took a hilarious turn as Nezuko grabbed the bottle of sake, staring at it in an innocent nature as the rest looks on, wondering what Nezuko is going to do with the bottle of sake, but Tanjiro sensed that something bad is about to happen after seeing his younger sister staring at the cork that is covering the sake.

Hilarity then ensued as Nezuko made her move and was able to remove the cork and opened the bottle of sake and glanced at it in innocent curiosity before opening her mouth and attempted to take a sip as she was enticed by the scent of the sake, and Tanjiro stared wide-eyed in horror at seeing what his younger sister is intending to do, alarming him as he tries to dissuade her from trying to take a sip, worried that she might get unintentionally drunk.

"Nezuko!"

"…"

"S-stop! What are you…?"

"…"

"Don't drink that…!"

"…"

"Its bad for you…!"

"…"

Nezuko seemingly ignored her elder brother's plea and is proceeding to take a sip of the sake, but Tanjiro grabbed the bottle but Nezuko wouldn't let go, prompting Kanao and Aoi to join in and the trio urged Nezuko to stop and let go of the bottle but she seemingly ignored their pleas.

"Nezuko!"

"…"

"Don't !"

"You're not legally ready to drink that!"

"Its bad for your health!"

"…"

As Tanjiro, Aoi and Kanao are trying to wrestle the bottle away from Nezuko, the bottle flew before landing onto Shinobu's mouth, causing the contents to pour out and she accidentally drank portions of the sake before Aoi was able to take the bottle away, and there Shinobu appeared to be fine except that she had a delayed effects of getting drunk.

Mitsuri blinked her eyes and approached Shinobu, asking her if she is okay, though she appeared to be fine, her facial expressions tells a different story though her speech appeared to be okay as Mitsuri asked her if she is really okay, and Aoi joins in and asked if she is upset.

"Um…Shinobu…"

"Shinobu…?"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

"Are you okay…?"

"Sorry about that…"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

"Are you mad…?"

"I'm very sorry…"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

As Nezuko attempted to grab the bottle of sake, Shinobu did a karate chop on Nezuko's head, and finally knocks her out cold, and Aoi became guilt-ridden and tried to talk to Shinobu as she is apologizing for what happened, but sweat-dropped as Shinobu just snickered in reply, seemingly ignoring what Aoi is telling her.

"Um…Shinobu…"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

"Sorry about that…"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

"Are you mad…?"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

"Shinobu…?"

"Hee-hee-hee…"

Aoi sweat-dropped as she saw Shinobu snickering like a madwoman, and she wondered if she did something to tick Shinobu off, not knowing that the latter is gradually getting drunker, and there Shinobu smiled as she clapped her hands and said that they are going to play the Truth Or Dare, which the rest blinked their eyes seeing that Shinobu is shifting gears so suddenly, unaware of the fact that she was stealthily drunk by this time.

Shinobu then took a pen and paper and wrote something while cutting the paper into several pieces before putting them inside a box, and there she told the rest that everyone here will participate, which the rest sweat-dropped as they wonder if Shinobu is okay or if something happened to her, not knowing that she has partially succumbed to the effects of the sake.

There she announced that the participants of this mini-game, which everyone blinked their eyes as Shinobu announced the names of the participants, which includes:

- Tanjiro

- Mitsuri

- Aoi

- Kanao

- Kiyo

- Sumi

- Naho

Shinobu then brought out an empty bottle of sake and said that this bottle would be the spinner and told everyone the mechanics of the game, and made it clear that once the chosen participants chose either Truth Or Dare, he or she cannot change at the last minute and must comply with it.

Aoi, Kiyo, Sumi and Naho whispered amongst themselves and wondered what happened, as Shinobu wasn't like this before, and they asked Aoi if this is because of the sake, and the latter apologized, sensing that she may have been indirectly the cause of Shinobu's sudden change in behavior.

"Has Shinobu acting out of character…?"

"Looks like it…"

"That's what I'm thinking…"

"…"

"Hey, Aoi..."

"You started this…"

"You brought out the bottle of sake in the first place…"

"Sorry…"

Likewise, Tanjiro and Mitsuri are also baffled by the sudden shift of mood within Shinobu, and wondered if something happened to her, not knowing that she accidentally consumed a small portion of the sake and she was slightly drunk, and they saw her holding the bottle of sake and the two Demon Slayer Corps members wondered if they should try take the bottle away from Shinobu.

"What happened to Shinobu?"

"Don't know…"

"Was she like that before…?"

"Beats me. It's the first time seeing her like that…"

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"…"

Once more hilarity ensued as Nezuko seemingly recovered and grapples onto the bottle of sake and attempted to take a sip, but an already-slightly drunk Shinobu wouldn't let up without a fight and the two began to grapple on the bottle which bears a resemblance to a Jackie Chan movie, Drunken Master, which Tanjiro became worried at what might happen afterwards.

He and Mitsuri held onto Nezuko and urged her to stop and let go of the bottle of sake, saying that she is too young to take a sip, but Nezuko wouldn't relent and ignored their pleas as her eyes are gazing straight at the bottle of sake.

"Nezuko!"

"…"

"Don't drink that!"

"Its bad for you!"

"…"

"Don't drink that! You're still underage!"

"And you're still half-Youkai! There's no telling what might happen to you!"

"…"

Likewise, Kanao is equally worried and Aoi, Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho to assist Tanjiro and Mitsuri to restrain Nezuko, and the four girls grappled onto Nezuko, urging her to let go of the bottle and calm down, seeing that Nezuko is really determined to take a sip of the sake and would not stop

"Nezuko!"

"…"

"Don't drink that!"

"Its bad for you!"

"…"

"Don't drink that! You're still underage!"

"And you're still half-Youkai! There's no telling what might happen to you! You might go MAD!"

"…"

Thinking fast, Shinobu gave Nezuko an empty bottle of sake and the youngest girl grabbed it and puts the nozzle inside her lips and immediately suckles it like a baby drinking milk from a baby bottle, causing everyone inside to stare wide-eyed in shock, as they couldn't believe that Shinobu would actually let Nezuko drink the sake just to get her to stop, and Tanjiro is worried that Nezuko might develop an addiction to sake.

By then Shinobu brought out a HAMMER and smacked it on Nezuko's head, knocking her out while she sports a silly grin, her eyes SPINNING and stars APPEARING and CIRCLING over her head. Shinobu smirked and showed that the bottle she gave to Nezuko is actually empty and there are no traces of any sake inside, which Tanjiro sighed in relief but asked if Shinobu had to knock Nezuko out like that.

Shinobu SMILED and said that this is for the best, and there she told everyone that the game is about to commence and reminded them of the rules and mechanics, as well as telling everyone to be a good sport and not act grouchy as this is only a game and the purpose of this is to help Tanjiro and Mitsuri recover faster and raise their spirits, which everyone reluctantly accepted, as they believed that Shinobu might have an ulterior motive for this.

"Okay…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as the truth or dare game is about to commence, yet it briefly got interrupted as Nezuko attempted to take a sip, only for the secretly-drunken Shinobu to knock her out...and now the game is about to commence...
