Chapter 4 The past and present merges

7th August 1993, Grimmauld Place, London

Harry wakes up as he is licked by a large rough tongue. Harry almost jumps up and when he grabs his glasses and put them on he sees a large smiling Sirius sitting on the ground.

Harry says "I should call you Dogfather instead of godfather."

Dobby pops in and like he listens says "Dogfather, the kitchen is clean."

Harry asks "how late is it?"

Sirius says "just a bit after ten. Dobby was awake early and woke me to ask if he could help. I, however, don't know if Kreacher slept on the mattress you got for him."

Harry shrugs before he says "I would be surprised if he did. As he obviously hates you as your mother hated you it will take more than a mattress and a good night's sleep to fix that."

Sirius says "you are right. Now Dobby cleaned the kitchen we can have a nice breakfast."

Harry asks "Dobby did Kreacher help too?"

Dobby nods and says "yes Master Harry, but Kreacher was having trouble cleaning everything so Dobby helped Kreacher until Kreacher insulted Master Harry and Dogfather. Dogfather sends Kreacher to clean Dogfather's room."

Sirius couldn't hold his laughter as he hears Dobby call him Dogfather. He says after Dobby "I should have asked James to call me that although Lily would probably have cursed me."

Sirius immediately thinks he messed up talking about Harry's parents. He looks at Harry expecting a sad Harry or in the worst case a crying Harry. He can't be more wrong he sees a smiling Harry.

Sirius says "Harry aren't you saying I talked about your parents like that?"

Harry shook his head "no I am not sad. I am happy I heard something about my parents. I never know much about them. Hagrid only told me how they died and I know my mother was a muggleborn like one of my best friends, but Hagrid didn't say more. He did, however, gave me this."

Harry looks in his trunk and grabs his most prized possession. He opens it and says "Hagrid gave me this after my first year."

Sirius sees the first picture and it is of James and Lily right after they finally got together or like he would say that James finally wore Lily down to give him a chance. James said he knew she would be his wife and this picture is right after they became officially engaged. The next picture of James and Lily is full of happiness. James has fainted right before the photo when Lily told him she is pregnant. James couldn't be happier after he was woken up and said he had a wonderful dream.

Sirius says "come on pup we can better get to the kitchen and get some breakfast we have many things to talk about."

Harry nods and follows Sirius to the kitchen. Before he even gets to the hallway he feels Athena slither up his body and Hedwig flies to the kitchen in front of him. Harry knows why. Hedwig will love some bacon strips it is her favourite after all.

When they took a seat Sirius asks Dobby if he could get something. Harry got some Galleons left. Dobby took them and went to get some food he could prepare. Harry asks if Dobby could also get some bacon strips for Hedwig and snake food for Athena.

Almost fifteen minutes later Dobby is preparing food. He got the bacon strips and some pieces of meat for Athena while preparing a full English breakfast for Harry and Sirius.

After breakfast, Sirius asks all of Harry's remaining Galleons.

Harry asks "why do you need them, Sirius?"

Sirius says "until we can get to Diagon Alley and Gringotts I don't have any money to get food. With your Galleons, we can get food for a couple of days if we ration a bit. I need to explain things to you and I think we need those days. While Hedwig and Athena in the worst-case scenario can find prey to eat we, Dobby and Kreacher cannot."

Harry says "I guess you're right."

Harry opens his trunk to get the Galleons he didn't have in his pocket. He put them on the table.

Sirius says "well it seems we don't need to ration as much as I thought. Don't worry Harry I will make sure I pay you back."

Harry shrugs and says "you don't have to. I have my trust vault and there are more than enough Galleons in that. I don't use it much, only for my school supplies and some gifts for friends."

Sirius asks "and your family vault?"

Harry asks "what family vault?"

Sirius says "Harry your family has a family vault in Gringotts. Even more, it is one of the best-protected vaults like my family also have one. There are some other families with the same protection like the founder of Hogwarts until the heirs reveal themselves and want to take Lord or Ladyship."

Harry looks confused. Sirius groans and says "please tell me you at least know about the founders of Hogwarts."

Harry nods and says "yes I do. It would be impossible to not too especially with Hermione and Daphne."

Sirius smiles before he says "so you know two girls right. Who is your girlfriend or are they both?"

Harry blushes and says "they are not….. well they are my friends but none of them is my girlfriend."

Sirius asks half-jokingly "are you really James's son and my godson? Although James only had eyes for Lily he never said she wasn't his girlfriend even before she became his girlfriend. I had in my Hogwarts day's a couple of girlfriends even at the same time."

While Harry blushes Sirius says "do you know more about the wizarding world?"

Harry says "not really."

Sirius groans and asks "please tell me you are joking?"

Harry shakes his head which makes Sirius groan harder.

Sirius says desperately "well it seems I got my work cut out for me in teaching you at least the basics you need to know. However, first, tell me more about Hedwig and Athena before we talk about your so-called, not girlfriends."

Harry groans before he asks "what do you want to know about Hedwig and Athena?"

Sirius says "well why don't with a start how you get them?"

Harry says "Hedwig I got from Hagrid for my eleventh birthday and she has been with me since then. I know most see owls as pets but for me, she is more a companion when I was with the Dursleys the last two years."

Sirius asks "you met Hagrid on your eleventh birthday?"

Harry asks "yes. Why?"

Sirius says "as you know almost nothing about the magical world you are almost a muggleborn. As long as I know muggleborns have been introduced by Professor McGonagall. Your mother who was a muggleborn said Professor McGonagall introduced her to the wizarding world and help your mother to Diagon Alley including Gringotts. Where she could get her school supplies and change muggle money to our money. Also where and how to enter platform 9 3/4. "

Harry says "Hermione said the same thing. However, Hagrid introduced me to the wizarding world. He showed me Diagon Alley and Gringotts. He didn't show me platform 9 ¾ but fortunately, I heard the Weasley's walk when I heard the word muggles. That is how I know they were witches and wizards and they helped me onto the platform. Ron came to sit with me on the way to Hogwarts and became my first friend and best mate. I will be honest Hermione and Daphne are my best friends."

Sirius says "alright, and Athena?"

Harry says "I talked to a snake before Hogwarts. Hermione said I was a parseltongue after Draco Malfoy conjured a snake when the fraud Lockhart wanted be and Ron to pretend to duel as there was a duelling club. Ron's wand had broken so Snape whom Lockhart said was his assistant put Malfoy against me. When I saw the snake I spoke Parseltongue preventing the snake from attacking anyone. Most became afraid as it is seen as a dark wizard trait and Hermione said it looked like I urged the snake before Snape removed it after Lockhart tried and failed. Hermione believed me that I stopped the snake. Ron didn't but…"

Harry continues and said "well I met Athena at Hogwarts. I left her there and that I would see her again in September but she came to find me. She said she missed me and managed to find me."

Sirius sees Athena lying with her head on Harry's shoulder and could see a smile if a snake could smile. He can see that Athena is happy and seems to like Harry so she would not hurt him and if she likes him she will also listen probably. Sirius decides to let it rest.

Sirius got a large smile before he asks "and now Harry tell me more about your 'not girlfriends' Hermione and Daphne, will you?"

Harry blushes and says "there is not much to tell. They are my friends and that is it."

Sirius says "come on Harry you can tell me more. How about who they are like age, house and like you said Hermione is muggleborn what is Daphne not that I mind but then I can understand their thought process as a pureblood myself with Lily's muggleborn thinking and a very good friend who is a half-blood. And how about how you became friends. And maybe other 'girlfriends' or some guy's?"

Harry shrugs and says "alright, I guess."

Harry takes a deep breath and says "I can tell about my friends and not only Hermione and Daphne if you like. Let's start. Hermione's full name is Hermione Granger, she is 13 and will become 14 on the 17th of September and she is like I said a muggleborn and she is also a Gryffindor in the same year. She is called by some as the brightest witch of our generation."

"Daphne is Daphne Greengrass, she is also 13 and will become 14 on the 13th of October. I, unfortunately, didn't give her a present and she was sad. I wanted to promise her to give her something this summer but she said on the day after her birthday she didn't want that but I must do it. I hope we can go to Diagon Alley so I can try to find something for her and for Ginny. While Hermione is called the brightest witch of our generation Daphne isn't a slouch either. Daphne certainly is close."

Sirius asks "Ginny?"

Harry says "Ginny Weasley, I don't really know her but Ron is her big brother. Ron always chased her away calling her names to her face and behind her back. She was a first-year and I can know how lonely a first year can be. I want to be her friend and I hope a gift will help with that. She is 11 and will turn 12 on the 11th of August, but she isn't at home right now. She is with her family in Egypt. Her oldest brother works there. She is the youngest and has six older brothers with two already graduating from Hogwarts. I think she is a pureblood as Weasley. I don't know much about her so it will be difficult to find something for her."

"You also got Tracey Davis she is also 13. She will turn 14 on September 19th. She is a half-blood when I heard Malfoy call her names. She is also in Slytherin like Daphne and in my year. I need to get her a present too. I hope I can find something for her although I know her better than Ginny."

Sirius says "I am sure we can find something for the girls. They are girls after all."

Harry says "maybe but Hermione likes books the most as does Daphne but Tracey doesn't and Ginny what I heard from her twin brothers also is not except about a Quidditch team something like Hool …. no, no Harley ….. no, what was it?"

Sirius asks "do you mean the all-female team the Holyhead Harpies?"

Harry says "yeah I think that is what the twins said. She is a real fan of them. Maybe something about that for Ginny."

Sirius says "we will certainly find something Harry, no matter what they like there are some things no girl can't deny. I think we can give them something to show how much you like them and give them the impression you pursue something more romantic….."

Harry interrupts and shouts "no, no, no. I only want to be their friend can't we do something that shows that. Please, Sirius?"

Sirius saw the fear in Harry's eyes and says "I was just teasing Harry. I promise as Padfoot and the deviously handsome Sirius Black I will help you find something suitable without any more intention than a friendship and if possible a good friendship and nothing more at this time."

Harry let out a deep breath of relief and thinks to himself 'they don't want me. Hopefully, they will like a friendship, I hope I don't ask too much.'

Sirius waits a couple of minutes and says "is there anyone more I need to know about?"

Harry says "well Ron Weasley as I said. He is also Gryffindor in the same year and his Birthday is on the 1st of March. He would like sweets the most."

Sirius says "well you can get that at Hogsmeade. They got a wonderful sweet shop Honeydukes. Their sweets are really good."

Harry says "I can't go to Hogsmeade. Uncle Vernon would only sign after Aunt Marge has left and I 'behaved' what obviously didn't happen."

Sirius says "Pup as you godfather, I can sign for you."

Harry asks "really?"

Sirius smiles as he sees Harry look at him "yes, but I will do that after lunch. First are their others, then we have lunch. I will sign your form and then maybe you can tell me about how you became friends besides Ron as you met him on the Hogwarts Express like I met James and met your mother as she looked for her friend's pet, a cat. That cat was like an escape artist. If my memory serves me right I was the cat from Selene. I don't remember her last name at that time but I do know she married Xeno Lovegood. I remember she had a daughter you saw sometime Harry. I forgot her name but I, unfortunately, know Selene died. I heard some Aurors talking about it when they did their round in Azkaban. Something about an explosion when she was trying to make a new spell. It was even worse when I heard her daughter see it and hold her dead mother in her hands. They don't know for how long but it was at least a day or two maybe more."

Sirius looks at Harry with a sad expression and asks "Harry promise something?"

Harry nods and Sirius continues "the girl should be in the year below you. You acted like her big brother, her protector although Lily and Selene said it was more like let's say a romantic relationship. I don't ask you to see her as a potential girlfriend or more, but please be there for her. She may still have her father but you know how hard it is to lose your parents. For her, it can be even harder as she has a lot of memories from her mother."

Harry says "I will Sirius. I will be there for her and will not talk about her mother and that she knew my mother until she tells me on her own. Do you know anything about her daughter?"

Sirius shakes his head "no. I was in Azkaban and it was before her daughter started Hogwarts that Selene died. If she looks like her mother she will be a Ravenclaw or maybe a Hufflepuff although because her mother died she can have the courage to live on to be in Gryffindor. I cannot see in any way to be a Slytherin, but maybe Daphne or Tracey can look around in Slytherin to be certain."

"If she did look like her mother also in later years she will have blond hair and maybe a bit on the small and thin side. The only other thing I remember is that Selene calls her daughter her little moon. So maybe her name has something to do with a moon..."

Sirius stops talking as it immediately reminds him of his only brother in all but blood left, Remus Lupin, he never heard of him after that night. He doesn't know who the traitor was or that I wasn't the secret keeper so he probably also blames me. I wish I could talk to him and more importantly see him that he at least survived the war.

Harry tries to get Sirius's attention but it doesn't work. He calls for Dobby.

Dobby pops in and asks "what can Dobby do for Master Harry and Dogfather?"

Harry smiles at the energetic elf for calling Sirius Dogfather. Harry is also happy that Dobby looks better than last night.

Harry asks "Dobby could you make some lunch I guess it is lunchtime."

Dobby nods and says "of course Master Harry. It is time for lunch."

Harry says "thank you Dobby. I think some sandwiches or something should be alright. Until we get to Gringotts we better try to not spend too much. Also, Dobby makes sure you and Kreacher also get enough food, I don't want you to starve."

Dobby immediately pops next to Harry as hugs his leg and says "Master is so good to lowly Dobby and bad Kreacher. Master Harry is nice to even bad elves."

Harry says "Dobby you are not lowly you are my friend and certainly a good elf."

Dobby starts crying from happiness and it takes almost ten minutes before Dobby stops crying and finishes the sandwiches.

When Dobby levitate the sandwiches to the table Sirius is back in the present. As Harry takes his first bite Sirius says "ah sorry Harry I was thinking about someone rather important to me. Do we leave any friends out?"

Harry swallows and says "only one I think. I am friendly with a couple and I don't call them good friends."

Harry thought although mostly is that because of last year. Sure some students from other houses like Susan Bones or Su Li and even Malfoy knew he couldn't do it although Malfoy was sure he wasn't it and was mad at people who thought so but did never say to someone Harry cannot be it. The former two try to give him an encouraging smile and sometimes some others try but it was very few and it depended on the day.

The only ones who believed him the whole year were Neville, Hermione, Kate and the Quidditch team thanks to Katie although the twins only teased him the whole time so maybe the Quidditch team did trust him from the start but started to 'protect' Harry when other claimed he was again after Katie's talk.

Harry says "alright maybe a couple more. I am also friends at least I think so with Neville Longbottom. He just turned 13 on the 30th of July one day before me and is also a Gryffindor. He is nice. Maybe there is a book that helps him and me with potions."

Sirius asks in disbelief "you need help in potions? Your mother was a real good potion mistress. You may be not got all of her talents but at least enough that you should be alright no matter the potion teacher. She could brew the best potion in class and I think one of the most difficult like Polyjuice Potion she could brew perfectly early in her fourth year. Oh, Polyjuice Potion is….."

Harry interrupts and says "I know what Polyjuice Potion is as I read it in a book. I seriously doubt I am any good at it. But I think Neville can be is Snape doesn't unnerve him especially when he stood behind him to see if the potion is any good."

Sirius says incredible "Snivellus is the potion professor?!"

Harry asks confused "Snivellus?"

Sirius says "yes Severus Snape or like we, me, your father and some friends liked to call him Snivellus."

Harry laughs and says "I should remember that."

Sirius says "pup, no matter how much I want you to call him that you can't until I am free as if you suddenly say that he knows you have met me and will find out. Also, that is one of the things I will try to learn you what I can before Hogwarts. I will be though but that should be enough this year as long as we can keep any big change in you hidden. I don't want to do that Harry but we have no choice. Any more friends?"

Harry says "I play Quidditch so I guess the Quidditch team."

Sirius says "let me guess you are a seeker!"

Harry nods and says "according to Hermione I am the youngest Seeker in a century."

Sirius asks "really when was your first game? The first game in your second year as James started seeker in the second game in his second year."

Harry shakes his head and says "no my first game was in my first year the opening match against Slytherin."

Sirius asks in disbelief "your first year? Wasn't that against the school rules?"

Harry nods and says "yes. I don't know why I could maybe Professor McGonagall could convince Professor Dumbledore as they also bought me a broom. As the school paid for my broom is at Hogwarts during the summer."

Sirius asks "which broom?"

Harry says "I don't know if you know it but the Nimbus 2000."

Sirius says "I don't know it but I heard about it a couple of years ago that it would be the best broom in a long while although a bit later there was something called the Nimbus 2001."

Harry says "yeah, but I still defeated Malfoy with my Nimbus 2000 while he and the whole Slytherin team had the Nimbus 2001."

Sirius laughs again and says "well tell me more about the Quidditch team."

Harry says "alright. The beaters are twins and are called Fred and George Weasley and yes they are the youngest older brothers of Ron and Ginny. They are pranksters and most pranks are very funny. Sometimes they go over the line but they own up for that. They even can finish each other sentences and the likes. I hope sometimes you can meet them and see what I mean."

"Our chasers are three girls. Angelina Johnson, Alicia Spinnet and Katie Bell are all muggleborns. They work really good together and after me, Katie is the youngest. She is in the year above me. She also was new when I joined the team. Katie was very hard trained for the first game and it paid off as they played almost perfectly together."

"Angelina and Alicia are in the same year of the twins and that would be the fifth year this year. Something important they got this year….. something called OWL's."

Sirius says in a groan "those are bad. They call them ordinary although compared to the NEWT's in your seventh year, they are ordinary."

Harry shrugs and says "as last our captain is our keep Oliver Wood. Honestly, I don't know much about him except that he is a Quidditch nut and wants to be a professional Quidditch player. He is a half-blood as his mother is a muggleborn and his father is the grandson of a muggleborn. His father was also a wizard."

Sirius asks "Harry now that we talk about OWL's and what you want to do after Hogwarts I would like to know which electives you choose."

Harry says "I choose care of magical creatures and divination, why?"

Sirius says "I can't believe I am going to say this. I always thought I would be Lily or Moony. Harry, I think you need to change. Care of Magical creatures is a fun class and I will agree that you can keep that but divination is only good for seers and while you are strong you are no seers. You are either a seer or not. You can't learn it, as it is an ability you are born with or not."

Harry asks "but Ron and Neville also choose it, why would if choose something else?"

Sirius says "Harry, you aren't a seer. It may give you easy grades but you don't have anything about it. I think you would really like Ancient Runes, your father and mother both did, me too. I want you to think about Arithmancy, I didn't follow it but your mother did and she said that it reminded her of something muggles do and made it a bit easier. As you are muggle raised you may also find it easier while still being useful."

"I think like when I was in Hogwarts you can take three. I would say care of magical creatures, Ancient Runes and Arithmancy. Ancient Runes if highly valued for many jobs and for some jobs it would be greatly appreciated."

"Arithmancy is a way to predict the future through numbers and how numbers affect spells, charms and more. Who knows maybe you find it that fun that you make your own broom. If you want both would be very useful."

"Care of magical creature is fun, but it is also useful if you get a job that you can come across creatures as it isn't uncommon magical creatures stumble upon muggle neighbourhood or muggle travellers. It isn't highly appreciated but you should really do it. You deserve another fun class besides charms and transfiguration."

Harry says "I don't know Ron said it would be best to choose those so I did as did Neville."

Sirius says "Harry, you don't have to leave Ron but I think you need to choose for yourself. I only try to advise you and think about this Hermione and Daphne are smart, I bet you they follow Ancient Runes and possibly Arithmancy too. I don't think you do yourself justice or maybe you are like James and your real smartness is there but you only will use it in the OWL year, sixth year and NEWT year in Hogwarts and during your job obviously."

Harry is very hesitant and asks "can I think about it?"

Sirius says "sure Harry."

Suddenly Hedwig starts hooting loudly and flying around in the kitchen.

Sirius asks "what is wrong?"

Hedwig hoots loudly and Harry asks "what is wrong Hedwig?"

Hedwig hoots loud but Harry doesn't understand.

Harry says "Hedwig slow down."

It took a few minutes before Hedwig can calm down enough. Hedwig sits in front of Harry on the table and hoots. Harry nods and says "you want to go and get it?"

Hedwig hoots and it looks like it nods enthoustically. Sirius can't believe what he is seeing.

Harry asks "Sirius is there a way for Hedwig to get out of the house, do we need to open a window or can we use the backyard?"

Sirius looks surprised. It looks like Harry understands Hedwig.

He dumbly says "uhhhhh. Harry? What wants Hedwig want to do?"

Harry says "Hedwig feels that someone is writing a letter for me. I don't know how but she can feel it. I don't know who it is though. Hermione is in France and she wrote to me once that Hedwig went all the way to France I kind of forbid her from doing that again this summer, the Weasley's are in Egypt and Daphne wrote to me once and it was clear that was the only one as she ends with that I see her at Hogwarts."

Sirius "alright I guess. Follow me."

Sirius stands up as does Harry. Hedwig flies to his shoulder. Harry needs to steady himself before he follows Sirius. They walk back to the hallway and Sirius says "we can't use the backyard for that as when Hedwig flies away the muggles can notice and even though the wards are still strong enough to not let the muggles see the yard it would be bad for muggles to see Hedwig flying into our yard, the same goes if Hedwig suddenly disappears if he flies through our window. My family was smart enough about that."

Sirius quietly walks down his mother's portrait as does Harry. They walk into a small room to the side. The room is larger than the cupboard of his relatives. There are many perches covered in dust. Sirius walks to the end of the room and says "this was like our in house owlery. I think the fake flue is still open and if you fly through this you can leave at every floor if you need one of us and there is a large room in the attic. In the attic, one of the rooms is made as an extension of this room. In that room, you can fly out of the fake chimney that you can easily see believe me, but muggles cannot. Also, Hedwig will be high enough for anyone to see her leaving and arriving."

Hedwig immediately fly offs through the fake flue and out of the fake chimney within a minute.

Sirius says we can better let the door open otherwise Hedwig will leave on the first floor and need to descend the stairs and I think it will wake my mother and if he flies from here he still needs to pass her but the chance is smaller she will wake up. I need to find a way to get rid of her portrait."

Harry nods and they walk back to the kitchen.

When they took a seat again Sirius asks "now that we talked about your friends. I like to know if there is a class you like or are good at?"

Harry says "I am kind of good at Defence Against the Dark Arts although the teachers were just awful. One was stuttering almost every word and last year we had a fraud. I like charms a lot and Professor Flitwick is nice."

When Harry stops Sirius is surprised he didn't mention transfiguration from his god grandmother Minerva (Minnie) McGonagall.

Sirius asks "and Transfiguration?"

Harry says "I am alright in it I guess. Professor McGonagall is strict but fair I suppose. She is also head of Gryffindor house."

Sirius says "yes, she was that when I was too. Anything else about Professor McGonagall?"

Harry shrugs "I don't know I only see her during class or when I am in trouble."

Sirius manage to keep the surprise from his face.

He thinks 'Minnie not talking to Harry about his parents? Not looking after Harry? Why would she not do it? I need to find out, especially with Dumbledore placing Harry with the Dursleys! In the will it is clearly stated Harry should live with Andi and that Andi will be his guardian with her husband Ted even if they were unable there were others. Andi will never send Harry away she almost acted like he was her son which Lily didn't always like until the apparate incident and said, mommy. Even an orphanage was chosen instead of Lily's sister and her husband Vermin.'

Sirius asks "and the other professors?"

Harry shrugs and says "beside Snape..."

Sirius shouts "Snape is Death Eater, a follower of Voldemort. I think Dumbledore knows. I guess potions aren't going well... Arithmancy should help with potions. think about it. Please continue?"

Harry nods before saying "both Defence against the Dark Arts teachers were awful like I said before as is Snape like I mentioned before. And you got of course the ghost history teacher, Professor Binns, who get everyone asleep well beside Hermione and Daphne that is."

Sirius can see that he really likes them as he got a large smile on his face. Sirius wants to tease but Harry's panicking reaction stops Sirius to tease Harry about girls at least. Sirius is however very curious about being friends with Slytherins already. Most Gryffindor/ Slytherin 'friendship' comes after Hogwarts if ever and it is more neutral except for Andi. Lord and Lady Greengrass are a small exception with Lord Davis as they almost agreed to join the Great Alliance but then Halloween happened and the attack on the Longbottom's a couple of days later.

Sirius asks "Harry that you are a friend with a muggleborn witch doesn't surprise me but being friends with Slytherin you are can you tell me more about how you met and other important things? I do want to know as you answered everything else but not that."

Harry sighs as he hoped that Sirius forgets everything else but apparently not.

Harry says "sure, I was only friends with Ron until Halloween in my first year. Hermione was very sad and wanted to go home after Ron talked behind her back about how bad she is and what she isn't. Ron is the total opposite regarding school and such so they fight a lot nowadays."

"That night Hermione wasn't at the feast so after the feast I went to look for Hermione and found her where Gryffindor girls in my year heard her. I ran into the girls' lavatory as I wanted to be her friend and there is where I found Daphne and Tracey trying to console her. I don't know how but I finally managed to console her too and we became friends. That night I also became friends with Daphne and Tracey."

Sirius asks "you run into a girl's lavatory and walk out with three girlfriends? James would be so proud while Lily would be so mad."

Harry starts panicking "no, not girlfriends."

Sirius says "sorry Harry I mean friends who happen to be girls."

Harry says "oh, then I guess so."

Sirius can't stop laughing for almost 10 minutes. When Sirius finally managed to stop laughing he asks "how did you manage to remain friends with Daphne and Tracey as Slytherin and you as Gryffindor?"

Harry says "I wasn't easy but after we were almost 'caught' by other students especially Slytherin's who hate Gryffindor's like Malfoy we try to find another way. We finally found an almost safe way. Hermione really likes to study in the library. Daphne doesn't as much as Hermione but there isn't much difference. Not many Slytherins are in the library so when we look and they nod their head we know we can meet up."

"There are a lot of unused classrooms and there is a certain room we use. In a specific classroom, we meet up after the library. Not all my friends only Hermione, Neville, Daphne, Tracey and me. Sometimes it is only Hermione or me. Neville is mostly with us but as I have Quidditch practice as Hermione really wants to study we don't always are all together although Hermione did come to all Quidditch practise after Halloween in my first year. To my knowledge, Neville doesn't meet them without Hermione or me."

"The first year it was more to know about each other and how classes were going. In the second year, Daphne and Tracey told us about if Malfoy or any other were scheming something like playing dirty in the upcoming Quidditch match especially if it was against us. Or if Malfoy had learned a new spell or something. They couldn't warn me about the Serpensortia spell. Not that it matters."

Sirius asks "Harry is Athena the snake from then?"

Harry shakes his head and says "no Sirius as I said before that snake was removed by Snape. I saw the snake being killed before it disappeared by fire."

"Anyway, that is how I met them and how we manage to stay friends without the Slytherin's and Gryffindor's notice that. I, honestly, don't know if any Hufflepuffs or Ravenclaws know."

"Daphne and Tracey wanted to help me as even before I freed Dobby Draco Malfoy hated me as I refused to shake his hand before the sorting as he disrespected Ron and the Weasleys in general. I don't think he remembers but I met him before the school year in Madam Malkin's and there he was also rude to me but also Madam Malkin."

"Daphne and Tracey heard the first few days in the second year that Draco's father had planned something. Eventually nothing much happened as with every attempt Draco tried I knew in advance. We met about once every week. Sometimes more if they suddenly heard something. I did learn that Daphne and Tracey are friendly with their dorm mates and their best friend from their dorm is called Lilian Moon. She seems nice and happy when she is in the library talking with Daphne and Tracey I don't know about what. I never really talked with her or about her."

Sirius says "Harry I would love to continue, but I guess I know enough about you for now. Azkaban was hard for 12 years so I think I need to rest. I will lie down. I prefer if you stay inside the house and for now don't go up the stairs. My family was very in through the dark arts and before I will let you walk around. I want to make sure the house isn't booby-trapped and in the library, there are many books and I'm sure at least one third is dangerous for now."

"I guess you can … I never thought I was going to say this. You can work on your homework if it isn't done. If you have maybe look it over or maybe Athena likes to rest too."

Harry nods and went to his trunk to pull out charms. He knows the charms he needs to know but he still needs to write an essay, for every class except Defence Against the Dark Arts, astronomy and the history of magic.

7th August 1993, living room, Black Manor

A couple of hours later Sirius is woken by Harry. He says "Padfoot, Dobby made us dinner and uhhh …. Hedwig returned with a letter. I think I am in trouble."

Sirius immediately groans and says "well it seems my escape did succeed. Well, pup why don't we enjoy what I am sure will make Dobby happy Dobby's great meal. Then let me look at the letter."

They walk to the kitchen.

7th August 1993, kitchen, Black Manor

Hedwig sits in the kitchen lightly hooting and clearly asleep.

Harry says "we better be quiet as Hedwig doesn't like being woken up."

Sirius says "sure Pup. Now let me see the letter."

Harry grabs the letter that is on the table. Sirius sits down as does Harry while Dobby is smiling as he can finally make dinner for Harry and someone he sees as family.

Sirius reads:

Mr. Potter,

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Amelia Bones…..

Sirius is shocked and lets the letter drop on the table.

Harry asks "is it that bad? I thought maybe if I can explain myself that I didn't do it on purpose?"

Sirius says "no worries Pup. I was just a bit shocked by the name as I remember Amelia Bones." In his mind, Sirius says 'Amy, Amy, Amy.'

Sirius says "just enjoy your meal when I continue reading."

Harry nods and Sirius grabs the letter to continue.

And I am the director of the department for magical law enforcement or easily said the DMLE. I am writing to you about the events that happened yesterday evening at 09:48 PM at your home at Privet Drive according to Minister Fudge. She was found circling a chimney in Sheffield of all places.

I am pleased to tell you that we have dealt with the unfortunate blowing-up of Miss Marjorie Dursley. Two members of the Accidental Magic Reversal Department were dispatched to Privet Drive yesterday night. Miss Dursley has been punctured and her memory has been modified. She has no recollection of the incident at all.

Despite her not knowing anymore I would like to talk about the events of that evening as we saw her memories of that evening. As your guardian is unavailable at the moment Professor McGonagall is nice enough to act as the representative of your guardian. She would more than happy to and request if Monday 9th of August at 1 pm. If that is possible you would be more than welcome to have lunch at Bones Manor. If you want you can bring one person with you.

As this isn't an official investigation I hope you accept or if another time is better we can try to reschedule. However, it is most paramount we talk soon as I want to discuss this matter before your guardian Professor Dumbledore returns to England after the long ICW meeting.

Also if you would be able I heard some rather distressing news about last school year from my niece and she says you can tell me more.

As you don't know how to get here. I will be at the Leaky Cauldron from 12:45 pm until 12:57 pm on the 9th of August. As you need me to get to Bones Manor, I highly recommend you be there on time.

P.S. please send me a letter back ….. I guess with this white owl that according to my niece Susan who is a Hufflepuff in your year and the angry look on the owl is your owl. Your owl almost attacked my owl. She also almost bite me when I tried to give my owl the letter again. She hooted something that sounded rather rude but also a look that she was pleased with herself.

Sirius looks at Hedwig and even though she is asleep she looks rather smug if an owl can look smug while being asleep. The last part of the letter intrigued Sirius however immensely. He thinks 'If Harry should know more then it means he kept something from me. What could it be? Was it dangerous? He told me more than I suspected, but that could mean that he kept something hidden by giving me everything I ask for? That is almost Slytherin but true James, Remus and me also did it more than once. I am so proud.'

Sirius sees a nervous Harry and says "I don't think you have to worry. Amy ….. I mean Amelia Bones is a strict but fair woman and apparently the new director and I know she was an Auror. Also, it seems she just wants to know a bit more. The Amelia Bones I know will not use such a way to capture and sentence you to Azkaban. She was a Hufflepuff and goes against her very core of hard-working, loyalty and honesty."

Harry asks "are you sure Last time magic was performed I got a warning as I was not allowed to use magic outside of school and if it happened again I would be expelled from Hogwarts."

Sirius sees Harry breaking down and he walks around the table and says "it is alright Harry. There are other schools if necessary and if that doesn't work there are tutors who can teach you and I was not the best but now being away from Azkaban in a few months I will be much better than I can teach you in certain subjects."

Harry buries his head into Sirius's chest which makes him cry more, but these tears are of happiness to finally have someone who cares for him, just Harry. Sirius doesn't even seem to think of Harry as the-boy-who-lived or the youngest seeker in a century which pleased Harry even more and also makes Harry cry more.

After almost an hour Harry had stopped crying. Sirius says "come on Harry. Eat the food Dobby made for you. Then write Amelia Bones a response, you should not keep her waiting. I am sure Hedwig will love to deliver your letter and then you can go to bed as you need to rest."

Almost another hour later Hedwig leaves with a letter and Sirius almost carries Harry to his mattress in the living room and makes sure Harry falls asleep.

Back in the kitchen, Sirius asks "Dobby can you search through the house if there are some good clothes for Harry and for me. We need to make a good expression and we don't have the time to go to Gringotts before we will see the Boneses."

Dobby notes and says "Dobby will Dogfather. Dobby will find good clothes for Master Harry and Dogfather."

Sirius says "thank you Dobby. I will go to the library or see if Kreacher started cleaning my old room. I think it is possible some clothes were left here that Harry may fit or resize to fit me unless my dear mother burned them."

Dobby bows and immediately pop out.

8th August 1993, Kitchen, Black Manor

Sirius wakes up. When he looks around he sees that Harry isn't on his mattress anymore as is Dobby. He can't be sure but the mattress Harry got for Kreacher seems that someone has slept in it and is a bit moved towards him and Harry's mattress.

He hears someone in the kitchen and when he walks in he sees Harry looking much better petting Athena and Hedwig while trying to eat which is difficult because as soon as he stops petting one Athena slits up Harry's arm to put her head on his shoulder or rub her head against Harry's face while Hedwig gives a disappointed hoot.

Sirius can suppress a smile as he sees Harry smile and being happy. He doesn't see Dobby but he does see a plate of food where he sat yesterday.

After Sirius has eaten and Athena and Hedwig finally let Harry finish his breakfast.

Sirius says "Harry we have much to do today. We need to make a good expression and while Amelia Bones is pureblood and isn't like Malfoy and believes in the blood purity nonsense we still need to make a good first expression. I don't mean we need to act like Malfoy or the other pureblood arrogant, pompous wizards and while this is more casual you may not need to act as pureblood are though."

"I think I should at least tell you more about your house and how to be respectful towards Goblins although that can be done before we go to Gringotts. All heirs or heiress of important houses have started their some call it training years ago. I have no delusion I can teach you all but I think I can cover the most important things if we start immediately. I hope we have time for lunch and dinner."

Harry looks shocked not because of no lunch or dinner as he is accustomed to that because of the Dursleys. No, he is shocked that Sirius thinks they need to whole day apparently. Harry wonders why Dumbledore didn't teach him anything about his house.

'The other Heirs or Heiress learned when they were younger so why didn't Dumbledore as he pretended to be my magical guardian' Harry thinks.

Harry quickly finishes his food and says "I guess we can better start then, but I will never act even close to Malfoy."

Sirius smiles before he says "Harry you can never act like Malfoy as your parents are James and Lily also what I have seen and heard so far you are a much better person."

Sirius stands up and says "we can better go to the library there are some books that I think will help me explain things."

8th August 1993, Living Room, Black Manor

Harry falls on his mattress with a large groan. Hedwig and Athena immediately move to him as they feel Harry's tiredness and unease.

Sirius stands beside him with a smile and says "come on Pup it wasn't that bad."

Harry looks at Sirius and says "not that bad, not that bad. You've got to be kidding me. I don't remember half the history of my house including my ancestors. I only remember my parents, my grandparents Dorea and Charlus, My great grandparents Fleamont and Euphemia Potter. I remember something like Henry Potter being the father of Fleamont Potter I don't remember his wife and before Henry, you had Charles Potter but I don't remember more."

"Then all the rights and privileges Most Ancient and Most Noble houses like House Potter has as does your House Black. You said Neville also has it as does House Bones. I understand why we are called like that but isn't it a bit unfair to muggleborns or wizards and witches with younger Houses? Also, I barely understand half and some don't make sense at all."

Sirius smiles and says "and that is Harry why you will never turn into Malfoy or someone else from the Dark faction in the wizengamot I talked about."

Harry groans and says "please don't talk about the wizengamot at all. After all, before that, I barely understand it, with the wizengamot it becomes too much and understands even less of it all. Although I must say you teach history better than Binns but he is of course a ghost and only talks about goblin rebellions and some names."

"I just don't understand why Dumbledore didn't press for a trial. As he is Chief Warlock doesn't he need to make sure that everyone gets a trial? He needs to make sure justice is done so why didn't he make sure you got a trial? Surely he should have known you didn't get one?"

Sirius says "Harry I didn't want to tell you about that. I should have known something like that would draw your attention I just hope it didn't that is why I didn't say Dumbledore is Chief Warlock."

"Pup, when we fought Voldemort I was losing trust in Dumbledore as did your parents. We did respect him but as we were losing people and we mostly reacted even if we did know something was going to happen and where. Dumbledore had created the order to fight outside of the ministry. Many agreed with that but the way Dumbledore led the order and didn't listen to anyone else. Many were starting to doubt if this was the right way and a couple of them including your parents and me were losing trust in Dumbledore. We stayed as we hoped we could stop Voldemort for the future generations especially as your parents wanted to start a family."

Sirius continues "Harry, I don't say you can't trust Dumbledore as we aren't in a civil war right now. Also maybe Dumbledore learned from his mistakes in the war against Voldemort. I may never 'completely' trust Dumbledore again as too many things have happened, but that doesn't mean you can't trust Dumbledore although I wouldn't say to completely trust Dumbledore."

Harry thinks before he grabs his head and says "can't think right now, too tired. Too much information. Big headache."

Sirius smiles and says "alright Harry I can understand but I think we covered all we could today. Lucky we did have a little bit of time for lunch and dinner. Now go to sleep."

The moment Sirius said sleep Harry's face hit the pillow and he was out like a light. Sirius decides to also go to sleep. He lies on the mattress and suddenly thinks 'oh bloody hell, I forgot to tell Harry that marriage contracts are being used and I remember James and Lily talked about a marriage contract between Susan and Harry. Maybe Amy doesn't know … oh who am I kidding, of course, she knows even if it isn't signed.'

'Maybe Susan's parents couldn't sign before they were tragically killed or Amelia wants to wait or even better if Susan wants to wait. Amy says she wants to talk about the sister from his Uncle nothing more so maybe I can still prepare Harry at a later time and talk with Amy about the marriage contract at a later time preferably after a get a trial. Also something about last year that doesn't mean a possible marriage contract even if that would make Harry very happy if Susan looks like Amy and her mother as they were both well-endowed in the breast department Amy probably still is although Susan's mother was larger. I do wonder if Susan is like Amelia and her brother or like her mother... maybe I need to consider it, but that can wait at the moment.'

'I have been able to learn Harry most of the history of House Potter and some rights and privileges although I didn't tell him everything for obvious reasons, especially with the privileges I would say to have more wives as the last of his lines.'

'Maybe I should haven't told him about the wizengamot …. yet. Although I think it is better I did as I don't know if Gringotts will capture me if I enter Gringotts. I am at least pleased that I could tell the very basics to Harry. After going to the Boneses and I will not be caught then I can tell Harry some more, get better clothing, get his Heirship and my Lordship and maybe can have a little bit of fun time so I can tell Harry more about his parents.'

'I think I shouldn't tell about the Marauders Map, Remus and certainly not the rat Pettigrew. Pettigrew is a coward if Harry doesn't show he knows Scabbers to be Pettigrew, Pettigrew will not do anything. If I try to get Pettigrew on my own I can hopefully keep Harry out of harm's way. That means I need to travel to Hogwarts before Harry meets the Weasley's and use the secrets passages to get onto the Hogwarts ground or into Hogwarts itself and try to get to Pettigrew without Harry being there or his so-called not girlfriends.'

Sirius gives a small laugh to not wake up Harry before he decides he really needs to sleep. He will use a glamour charm to accompany Harry to Amy tomorrow. I must make sure to keep control when I see Amy as it would be bad if the glamour fail.

9th August 1993, Black Manor, London

Sirius wakes up with the nice smell of breakfast. As he looks to his side again Harry is already out of bed and he doesn't see Athena or Hedwig so Dobby has probably also made something for them.

When he walks in he sees Harry is making breakfast. He doesn't see Dobby or Kreacher.

Sirius asks "Harry, why are you making breakfast?"

Harry says "I always need to do it for my relatives. As I didn't see Dobby or Kreacher I decide to make it."

Sirius says "you don't have to Harry. If Dobby is busy I can call for Kreacher although I don't know if he can still cook and if he can if it is even tasty?"

Harry shrugs and says "I don't mind as I am used to it."

Sirius wants to go to the Dursleys to kill them when he hears a pop and Dobby pops in. Dobby says "Master Harry should not make breakfast. Dobby will make breakfast for Master Harry and Dogfather."

Almost 45 minutes later Harry, Sirius, Hedwig and Athena have eaten. Harry offered Dobby to eat with them and Dobby made hug Harry's leg again before Dobby said he didn't need it as he will eat with his friends in Hogwarts. Dobby left after Harry asked to make a plate for Kreacher and that if Dobby wants he can make dinner as he will lunch somewhere else.

Dobby immediately says "Dobby will make dinner for Master Harry and Dogfather. Dobby will take some supplies from Hogwarts."

Harry asks "are you sure Dobby. I don't want Hogwarts to have a shortage."

Dobby says "Master Harry. During the summer without students, Hogwarts make more than enough for the present teachers."

Harry says nervously "if you are right Dobby. I guess it is alright."

Dobby nods. Dobby says "Master Harry's Dogfather, Dobby didn't find suitable clothes but the bad old master has clothes nobody uses of high quality, Old bad master doesn't deserve those clothes. Should Dobby get them?"

Sirius nods. When Dobby pops out Harry asks "Sirius isn't this stealing?"

Sirius says "pup wizards like the Malfoy don't deserve them also because of certain actions by the Malfoy's we have right on the clothing, but I will not bore you with it. Maybe if we have time or I think it is needed I will tell you before the summer ends, alright?"

Harry slowly nods. Before Harry can say something Dobby pops in and says "Dobby got robes."

Sirius says "whoah that is Acromantula silk, that is very expensive. Dobby while I think this is very good. I guess that they don't have a bottom-up shirt and a nice pair of jeans for Harry and me?"

Dobby's ears drop and say "no Dogfather."

Sirius says "Dobby can you pick a couple of bottom-up shirts and a couple of nice jeans for Harry and me. As you take food from Hogwarts if you agree Harry Dobby can go to Madam Malkin as she has a section with those clothes."

Harry says "if you think it is a good idea, Sirius."

Sirius nods and says "I guess so. Dobby can you take our measurements so you can get it."

Dobby nods and after five minutes Dobby says "Dobby will get Master Harry and Dogfather nice clothes."

Sirius says "Dobby I think a black bottom-up shirt with a white shirt and darker colour jeans will be best."

Dobby looks at Harry and Harry says "I think Padfoot is right Dobby."

Dobby nods with the bag of Galleons full to get the clothes.

When Dobby has popped out Sirius calls for Kreacher.

Kreacher doesn't want to come. Sirius asks "Kreacher is one of the bathrooms clean?"

Kreacher says "bad Master talks to Kreacher. Mistress will be so displeased."

Sirius says "make the bathroom to my old room clean immediately. After that, my godson was nice enough to have a plate of food ready for you."

Kreacher bows and rudely says "as bad master want" before popping out.

Sirius asks "Harry may I use your wand for a bit?"

Harry nods as he grabs the wand out of his back pocket. Sirius grabs it and casts "Tempus".

Red numbers appear and Sirius and Harry see that it is almost 10 am so they have a little under three hours to reach the Leaky Cauldron with fortunately is not too far away although he doesn't really know how far. His family used the floo to King's Cross station platform 9 3/4 never walked through the muggle world as most believed in the pureblood ideology and saw muggles as nothing but animals unworthy of ever laying their eyes on us well her mother certainly did his father wasn't thinking that low of muggles, but used the floo as it was much faster than walking and as pureblood, you were expected to use the floo or apparate in if not close to King's Cross station.

Fifteen minutes after Dobby left he return with two large bags. Dobby says "Master Harry Dobby got clothes that Dogfather asked. Nice Madam Malkin gives Dobby some free when Madam Malkin asked Dobby's master. Madam Malkin gives Dobby three full outfits for Master Harry and for Dogfather. Dobby didn't say the name of Dogfather as Dogfather is been searched for by the ministry."

Harry says "thank you Dobby."

Dobby looks deliriously happy.

Sirius sees this and smiles, not many families thank their house-elf but he expected nothing else from Harry.

Sirius asks "Dobby? Kreacher is working on cleaning the bathroom of my old room. Can you help him and have it cleaned it two hours at the most?"

Dobby nods and says "Dobby will do it alone Dogfather."

Harry immediately says "no Dobby. If you want to clean the bathroom that is alright, but for now try to work together with Kreacher. You don't have to like him but try to work together and don't fight."

Dobby nods and bows before he says "Dobby will Master Harry" and pops out.

Sirius says "Harry work in the meantime on your homework. I will look at the clothes and give you your bag. I advise choosing a nice bottom-up shirt with a shirt beneath it and a pair of dark jeans."

Harry nods before going to his trunk to continue on his homework. He knows if he isn't done Hermione and Daphne will be disappointed in him and somehow that hurts him more than his relatives ever did.

It is 11 am when Dobby pops and says "Master Harry and Dogfather the bathroom is as clean as Dobby can get it in the allowed time."

Harry says "thank you Dobby I think am sure you did great."

Less than a second later Kreacher pops in to say the same to Sirius while calling him the bad master.

Sirius says "Harry do you mind if I shower first. I need to wash almost 12 years of Azkaban of me."

Harry nods and says "I will continue on my homework until you're done."

Sirius asks "Dobby maybe we can 'borrow' some shampoo and body wash from your bad master."

Dobby nods enthusiastically and pops out. He returns within a minute with three bottles. Kreacher looks with a nervous look and Sirius says "Kreacher you are not to tell this to anyone."

Kreacher reluctantly nods and pops out.

Sirius looks in the bag, when he sees clothes his size he grabs the bag and goes upstairs.

9th August 1993, Sirius' old room, Black Manor

Around 11:45 am Sirius leaves the shower and bathroom. He has one of the bottles Dobby get in his hand.

Sirius thinks 'I knew it, blond hair dye. This can mean that Draco got actually the black hair trait or Narcissa uses it as she normally has also the black hair trait which supports my claim that Draco is not Narcissa's son. Lucy probably uses a blood adoption ritual to gain another Lordship from a higher house which is illegal. It is to have Draco have access as male heir for the Blackline after me that is considered line theft with the use of an illegal ritual that will be a lifetime in Azkaban if not the Dementor Kiss. Maybe even the Veil although I hadn't been used since Azkaban not even for the extreme cases although bodies from criminals who have been banished from their House or have no grave, the bodies were thrown through the Veil down by the unspeakable, the workers of the department of mysteries. Nobody knows who works there unless the unspeakable and some high placed Ministry officials know as all the unspeakable never use their name and all have 'codenames'.'

'If I did that with Harry it would be barely legal, heavily frowned upon and will bring me shame not that I care but for politics it is. With Harry, it is legal as House Potter is as high as House Black but he is able it become my heir by his grandmother was Dorea Black. I think it is a good idea to have kept that small detail from him, that his grandmother was a Black and I intend to make him my heir to prevent Malfoy from getting the House Black fortune, shares, properties and House Black Wizengamot seat. Harry's claim will surpass Malfoy's claim even if Draco is Narcissa's real son.'

He gets the clothing out of the bag and is surprised that Dobby even got some boxer shorts to wear. He dresses and appears downstairs at noon.

9th August 1993, kitchen, Black Manor

Sirius walks in to see Harry working on his homework which reminds Sirius of Lily on one hand although, on the other hand, it was James when he tried to impress Lily.

Sirius says "Harry, you need to take a shower immediately. To make a good impression it will be a good idea to arrive at the Leaky Cauldron before Amelia does."

Harry stands up and Sirius says which one is his old room to go shower immediately. Harry says "Hedwig and Athena stay here."

Hedwig nods as does Athena as Athena starts to understand basic English because of the bond.

Sirius sits down. It takes almost 15 minutes when Sirius sees Harry's bag on the floor next to the table. He grabs the bag and walks upstairs.

9th August 1993, Sirius' old room, Black Manor

Sirius walks into his room and sees Harry just stepping out of the bathroom with his old clothing on. Sirius's eyes are drawn to Harry's upper arms as his arms are up and it shows the upper arm as the sleeves are too wide that it falls all the way to Harry's armpits.

Sirius asks "Harry what are those tattoos on your upper arms?"

Harry looks and their surprise is clearly visible. He says "I don't know. I haven't seen them before."

Sirius asks "you haven't?"

Harry shakes his head and says "I don't have much time to shower with my relatives so I just do it and quickly dry myself before dressing again. I thought I saw something but after getting dressed and putting my glasses on I didn't see anything although I didn't check my upper arms."

Sirius put the bag on his old bed and says "let me look."

Sirius looks shocked. On Harry's left arm he sees two eyes that look like Hedwig's eyes with under each eye a lightning bolt connecting to the eye above it. Sirius almost looks shocked as on the right arm he sees what look like snake fangs he should know as he grew up with pictures of snakes and more snake-like things as his parents thought he would be a good pureblood heir going to the 'best' Hogwarts house Slytherin. The end of the fangs is shaped like lightning bolts. Also in the middle between the fangs is a clearly visible scar. The scar shows that something has punctured the skin.

Sirius says "Harry I guess you didn't tell me everything, but as we don't have time now we talk when we get back or tomorrow."

Sirius points at the bag and says "don't you forget your new clothes. Change everything and I found some old shoes just to see if they fit. If not I can cast the resizing charm if you allow me to use your wand."

Harry nods and Sirius left the room. At 12:25 pm Harry comes downstairs with the shoes in his hand.

Harry is nervous as he hasn't actually lied to Sirius although he trusts Sirius enough. He doesn't know why he didn't talk about it. Maybe it is normal to not tell as he didn't tell anyone at the school except Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall and he didn't tell his relatives as they would be mad he didn't die and Vernon probably would like to finish the job himself.

Harry asks nervously "Sirius the shoes are too big can you use the resizing charm?"

Harry is happy to still see Sirius still smile at him. He says "sure Pup just put the shoes on and let me use your wand."

Harry gives Sirius his wand. Sirius cast the resizing charm that makes the shoes shrink until they are comfortable around Harry's feet. Sirius points the wand at his face and where was Sirius black is now a man with short blond hair, a small nose, flat ears and more importantly striking blue eyes that remind Harry of Daphne's blue eyes.

Sirius asks Harry for some Galleons just in case. Harry goes to his trunk, grabs some Galleons and walks back to Sirius. However, before he could Athena slithers up his body over his clothes and Hedwig lands on his left shoulder.

He asks Athena and Hedwig to stay here but they both refuse. Harry sighs and says "fine but if I say something please listen to me."

Athena agrees as does Hedwig although Hedwig says she will do it only if she wants to while Athena agrees as he is her master. He is also Hedwig's master but Hedwig will never admit it at least not out loud but will follow his order and loves him nonetheless.

9th August 1993, London

At 12:30 pm they leave Black Manor and start walking towards Charing Cross Road. Sirius sees on a clock it is 12:38 and it is still quite a distance to walk. He knows that they will never make it before Amelia arrives and leaves.

Sirius asks "Harry can you give me your wand?"

Harry gives him his wand. Sirius stands on the sidewalk and holds out his right hand with Harry's wand. Suddenly out of nowhere a large purple, triple-decker bus appears.

Someone steps out and says Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go. My name is Stan Shunpike, and I will be your conductor this morning."

Sirius says "we need to get to the Leaky Cauldron immediately. Here you get a galleon to get us there soon including the owl and snake. See it as a tip for excellent serves."

Stan nods and says "well get in then."

He walks to the front and taps on the window behind the driver. He says "Ernie the Leaky Cauldron immediately."

During the quick ride, Harry asks "how come the Muggles don't hear the bus?"

Stan says "them! Don' listen properly, do they? Don' look properly either. Never notice nuffink, they don"

Immediately the bus stops. Harry flies forward although just before he hits the front Sirius manages to hold back. Harry sees that Hedwig flew to Sirius's shoulder when he felt Harry shooting forward.

It was a very bumpy ride and they arrive outside of the Leaky Cauldron in not more than a minute. Sirius gives Stan the Galleon and the Knight Bus speed away already halfway disappearing before it turns into a nearby street.

Hedwig flies back to Harry's shoulder as Sirius walks in front of Harry to the door.

9th August 1993, the Leaky Cauldron, London

They enter but nobody looks up. Sirius walks to a table against the wall and Harry follows him. They can see the floo from the table, but people exiting the floo will not see them immediately.

Sirius still holding Harry's wand cast a small "Tempus."

Harry and Sirius see that it is 12:42 pm.

Sirius says "Harry, ask Hedwig to stand on the table that should be enough for Amelia to know it is us. Before I forget you can't call me Padfoot or Sirius. Amelia certainly had heard Padfoot and I know for a fact Professor McGonagall certainly has. I thought about a name and I decided that my name will be Mr. Grimm Sights. I know you as I am an old friend of James and Lily who managed to accidentally find you."

Harry nods and says "alright Mr. Sights. Hedwig can you stand on the table if you want to stand next to me."

Hedwig hoots before jumping off Harry's left shoulder. Athena just lies her head on Harry's right shoulder and looks around as she never has been surrounded by so many wizards and witches although she has never been surrounded by muggles either.

It only takes a few minutes when the floo flares up in green flames and first comes a tall dark bald wizard followed by a young witch with vibrant purple hair that Harry and Sirius both notice.

Sirius sees Harry's reaction and whispers "I see you remember her. I already told you about her but when we are done at Bones Manor and back 'home' I will explain."

Harry gives a short nod. The young witch sticks her head in the floo and another wizard with a wand steps out that is tall and bald. The floo flares up again and an older witch with crimson hair steps out. After her one wizards appear has short brown hair. The final one is a witch with black hair and a dark brown patch of hair. Harry must say she looks around the same age as the witch he knows he knows but doesn't know where.

Sirius gets stunned as he sees Amelia he almost wants to stand up and run toward her. He wants to pick her up spinning her around before setting her down and beg for forgiveness for being a stupid, rash decision making Gryffindor. Sirius knows she wouldn't like that as a girl being picked up and spun around but mostly after being mad and scolding him she would smile and forgive him like she did 'many' times before.

Amelia sees the white owl and moves the Aurors towards them. When she stands in front of the table she says "Mr. Potter, it is a pleasure. I am happy to finally get to meet you. Who is this if I may ask?"

Harry waits until Sirius answers but sees that Amelia looks at him.

Amelia looks at Sirius and needs to suppress a blush. She thinks 'how is this possible the only one who has ever made me feel like this, a silly schoolgirl with a crush was Sirius Black, how can this man do the same? Is Sirius watching me and I feel that? Does he hate me or was everything a lie? I don't know why but this man reminds me of Sirius but also not? Amelia get your head straight! Sirius is dangerous and you need to keep your promise to Susan so you better get going. You are head of the DMLE no one of my Aurors needs to see me turn into a silly schoolgirl with a crush.'

Harry says "excuse me. This is an old friend from my parents Mr. Sights. I met him on the night of the incident that you send me a letter about Madam Bones. You said I could bring someone so I would like to get him to go with me. I hope you don't mind I take Hedwig, my owl and my snake, Athena with me. Hedwig will not bother you too much and Athena will not attack you as you can see she is quite calm."

Amelia nods and says "well we can better go due to the situation. I hope you haven't bought your books yet as the minister didn't have time for this meeting and asked me to give them to you as an apology for not being able to meet him. The ministry bought you all the books for the upcoming year which I would like to also discuss when I saw the books if you don't mind."

Harry glances that Sirius gives a small nod that Amelia and the tall bald dark wizard notice. The other Aurors (and Trainee Aurors) are more watching around for any threat although especially the young vibrant witch barely can keep her eyes off Harry and the other witch does on occasion glance at Harry.

Harry says "or course Madam Bones please lead the way."

Amelia nods and walks towards the floo with the tall dark wizard, the young witch with vibrant purple hair and the tall bald wizard in front of her, Harry and Sirius with the other two behind them.

Amelia grabs almost two hands full of floo and says "the Ossuary."

She throws the floo in the fireplace and she walks through it. The green fire remains burning slow getting smaller. Sirius slightly pushes Harry into the green flames. Harry feels a whirl and shoots out of a fireplace. Hedwig immediately flies up and lands above the fireplace Harry shoots out off. Athena tightens her grip on Harry to not be separated and be less hurt almost nothing can hurt her especially so close to Harry.

After Harry, the others walk out of the floo like it is nothing. Amelia points her wand to the fireplace and immediately the green flames disappear and Harry swears he sees some kind of shield around it for a second before it disappears.

We will end here for now. In the next chapter Amelia, Harry. Sirius as Mr. Grimm Sights, Susan and Professor McGonagall will have a meeting.
