Chapter 5 The first steps are being taken

9th August 1993, The Ossuary, south-west England

Sirius as Mr. Sights helps Harry get up. When Harry is standing Hedwig flies to his shoulder again.

They hear a pop and a house-elf who looks treated better than Dobby appears before the group. The house-elf says "Mistress as requested lunch is ready to be served in the kitchen."

Amelia says "thank you, Tilly. Where is Susan?"

Tilly says "Mistress Susan is still getting ready in her room."

Amelia smiles and says "alright when she is ready tell her we are in the kitchen."

Amelia looks to the Aurors and says "you can take your position again."

All the Aurors nod and leave. Two walks out the large probably front door and tree walk through the kitchen and probably back door that is the dark black tall wizard, the witch with the vibrant purple hair and the young witch with black hair and a dark brown patch of hair.

When he doesn't see any Auror anymore Amelia says kindly "Mr. Potter and Mr. Sights please follow me. Professor McGonagall is already here as we had some things to discuss especially last year and while she could tell me a couple of things I think that you Mr. Potter can tell me a great deal more. Also if you could tell what your owl …. and snake-like to eat I am sure we can make something work."

Harry nods as did Mr. Sights and follows Amelia.

9th August 1993, Kitchen, Bones Manor (the Ossuary)

The entrance hall is immediately connected to the kitchen as they immediately walk into the kitchen and see Professor McGonagall with her back towards them but clearly see a cup of tea on the table.

Professor McGonagall says "I thought I heard you come back, Amelia. That was fast."

Professor McGonagall turns around and immediately crossly asks "who is that?"

Sirius says "I am Mr. Sights. It is a pleasure to meet you Harry has talked nothing but praise about you."

Professor McGonagall says "well Mr. Sights I have nothing heard about you before so please excuse me I can't say the same."

Amelia says "Minerva, Mr. Potter said that this is an old friend from his parents and he only met Mr. Sights for a few days to be precise he met Mr. Sights on the night of the incident with his uncle's sister."

Minerva raises her eyebrow in wonder. She has been James his godmother and knows almost everything about him but he never mentioned someone with the last name Sights. Minerva does see that Harry doesn't seem confounded in any way and that Mr. Sights don't look dangerous so she will allow it. She simply nods.

Amelia takes a seat beside Professor McGonagall across from Mr. Sights and Harry sits across from Professor McGonagall. Amelia says "I thought a lunch to start off will be better. We only need to wait for Susan."

Harry nods and so did Sirius. It was still before 1 pm so nobody had a problem with it. Harry feels Professor McGonagall's eyes look at him. Harry is feeling nervous and starts to give Hedwig a scratch and pet the snake.

Professor McGonagall notices the snake and is surprised that Harry has a snake. He is a Parseltongue so it isn't that weird but she is sure he didn't have one when he left. She wonders what kind of snake that is and where he met the snake. She wants to ask that but Amelia first wanted to discuss him accidentally blowing up Marge Dursley. After she can ask other questions.

She asked who the man was, which was more of a surprise than anything else. She has suspected Hermione to be with Harry if any, not a full-grown man she doesn't recognize although she sees some features she recognizes but for the love of Merlin she can't remember from where or better said who.

It was almost 01:15 pm before Susan comes down. Amelia knew that Susan want to look good for Harry but this is the first time she took this long to get ready. She never took this long not even when there was a ministry ball or other important event she needs to show herself as the future Lady Bones. Of course, when Amelia told Susan about her marriage contract in Yule her first year Susan still did her best to look the best but she took even less time as Harry wouldn't be present.

Amelia looks at Susan and smiles. Amelia only smiles as Susan is obviously trying to impress Harry as just thirteen years old. Susan has her hair in a ponytail and she wears a nice although a bit tight shirt that is showing that she is proud to be a Hufflepuff. The shirt is the top half is yellow and the bottom half black and a badger running in the top half of the shirt. Susan also wears a skirt with a dark kind of green that almost looks black. Even though it is dark it looks a bit like Harry's eyes. The skirt surprised Amelia as Susan doesn't like to wear a skirt. She hates to wear a skirt as part of the Hogwarts uniform. Although she stops complaining after knowing about her marriage contract with Harry.

Amelia says "Susan you are later."

Susan blushes and says "I am sorry Aunt Amelia. It is nice to see you, Professor McGonagall."

Professor McGonagall says "you too Miss Bones."

Although Professor McGonagall's favourite student is Hermione she does like Susan as she is nice and polite but also barely disturbs her class.

Susan looks at the two men who face her and says shyly "Hello Harry."

Harry's mind is blank. He is amazed at how good Susan looks. He isn't shocked as he isn't blind when he sees her during the school year but seeing her like this is too much for Harry's brain to process. Susan is becoming nervous. She was so busy trying to look good for Harry, that she hasn't thought Harry maybe wouldn't want the marriage contract.

As she came down too late she is afraid Amelia already talked about the marriage contract especially as it isn't uncommon for the girl isn't present for the talks about the marriage contract. Even worse she thinks Harry hates her for having a marriage contract with her, she didn't even say anything and after last year still doesn't like her if not worse.

Sirius sees that Susan is starting to get tears in her eyes. Sirius says "Miss Bones please don't think that Harry isn't responding as being mad or anything else bad. I think young Harry here is enthralled by your beauty on this nice day."

Susan wants to believe the man but she doesn't know him. Sirius immediately sees that and says "of course, where are my manners. I am Mr. Grimm Sights, Miss Bones."

Susan says "welcome Mr. Sigths. Are you sure about Harry?"

Sirius looks at Harry and sees that he is staring and almost start to drool. It looks just like James when Lily got a growth spurt before her fourth year. James starred and drool the first few weeks until Lily cursed him multiple times. Sirius gives Harry a small elbow that makes him look mad at Sirius before he looks back at Susan and almost become enthralled again. With another small elbow, Sirius says "come on Harry greet her."

Harry says "oh yes hello Susan."

Sirius whispers to compliment how she looks.

Harry says "you look wonderful Susan."

Susan's tears disappear and a large smile appears on her face that Harry can't deny looks beautiful.

Susan shyly says "thank you, Harry. I hoped you like it."

Harry says "I do especially your shirt with the badger running around. Although I like the …. skirt also. I like that green colour."

Susan is blushing although she is happy that Harry sees the green colour of her skirt while most think is it black. She takes a seat immediately next to Amelia. Amelia tries to suppress and smile as does Professor McGonagall. Sirius does have a large smile and doesn't even try to suppress it which makes Harry also blush to avert his eyes to avoid everybody's eyes.

Amelia has a bit of pity on Harry and says "well we better start with lunch before we start talking."

Harry nods as does Susan after Harry did. Amelia calls for Tilly to serve lunch which she happily does. Amelia asks Harry what Athena and Hedwig want. Harry says that some meat for Athena is good and that Hedwig would like some bacon strips if that is possible.

Amelia nods and says "Tilly could you get some raw meat for the snake out of the pantry and then make some bacon strips for the owl."

Tilly bows and says "as mistress want" before popping out. Within a minute Tilly comes back with what raw meat and pops out. Five minutes she comes back with a large plate full of bacon strips which excite Hedwig to no end. Harry need to tell her to wait or she would have attacked Tilly before she could place it before Hedwig. Hedwig jumps on the table and Athena lies down on the table so they both could start eating.

Harry says "thank you, Tilly."

Tilly says "your welcome Master."

Tilly pops out. Harry doesn't think about her calling him Master.

Sirius thinks 'I knew it!'

Amelia thinks 'Harry really doesn't know maybe it pleases Susan.'

Susan is afraid Harry will comment as he doesn't Susan thinks 'does he really doesn't know?'

Professors McGonagall thinks 'why did Tilly call Harry master he should be mister or sir?'

As Harry doesn't comment and continues so does everyone else. Harry doesn't notice everyone staring at him for a second after Tilly called him Master and popped out.

After half an hour everybody is done. Tilly pop in and Amelia asks "if they would like something to drink. Professor McGonagall and Amelia want tea. Susan and Sirius ask for butterbeer and when Harry doesn't say anything Sirius says "Harry would also like some butterbeer right, Harry?"

Harry trusts Sirius completely so he just nods. When Tilly pops back in with a large teapot, two cups, sugar cubes and milk pitcher and six pints of butterbeer. Amelia says "Tilly why don't you and Zill have lunch. If we really need you I will call for you."

Tilly nods and says "as mistress wants" before popping out.

Amelia pours herself and Professor McGonagall a cup of tea. They both take a sip before Amelia put her tea down and asks "Mr. Potter could you please tell me what happened the night the sister of your uncle was inflated and was floating in the sky before she was found, punctured and her memory altered?"

Harry looks a Sirius who nods. Harry says "what can I say. She arrived on my birthday and would stay till the 8th of August, not that I got anything. She doesn't know anything about magic so I needed to pretend I went to another school. Aunt Marge what I need to call her doesn't like me but also not my parents. If you don't mind I don't want to go into too much about what she said."

"First she was calling me names like she always did so I didn't care but then she started disrespecting my parents. I couldn't let that go and when I 'asked' her to stop she went on and I kind of lost control of myself. I felt something and before I knew it Aunt Marge was inflating and she went out of the backdoor while Uncle Vernon tried to hold her down he let her go as he was pulled into the air by Aunt Marge. He let her go and that is I knew I had to go."

"Then I met S…. Mr. Sights. He told me about my parents and told me he was friends with my parents."

Amelia nods and says "that is what the memory of your Aunt was well until she floats in the sky. Where were you going to stay where are you staying now, Harry?"

Harry says "I had no idea as the Weasley's are in Egypt and Hermione is in France. I thought about the Leaky Cauldron but I didn't know how to get there, especially with Athena, my snake. Then I met Mr. Sights and he took me to his house."

Professor McGonagall says "Harry that is very irresponsible! I am not saying that Mr. Sights is dangerous or worse but as you didn't seem to know him what if he was?"

Harry says "but he isn't. Also, I felt like I could trust him and I remembered him."

Amelia asks "you did?"

Harry shrugs and says "yes but I don't know how. I just remembered his name."

Amelia nods and says "well as your story match Marjorie Dursley's memory I think we can safely say that everything is alright and it wasn't your fault Mr. Potter especially as you did it without a wand, is a spur of the moment thing and in the end, she didn't get hurt."

Harry let out a deep sigh that he would at least not be expelled from Hogwarts as especially Hermione will be so mad if he did although Daphne would be also less than content with him.

Amelia starts after a few minutes "alright Mr. Potter. Now that is done I would like to talk to you about your last school year, your sec….."

Professor McGonagall immediately interrupts and says "Amelia… Director Bones, Professor Dumbledore let me know that anything else than talking about inflating Marjorie Dursley will be handled by Professor Dumbledore. If you have any questions he would be more than happy to answer everything he can."

Amelia looks at Professor McGonagall with a smile that Professor McGonagall has seen many times before especially when mischief was about to happen. She already knew that Amelia had defeated her.

Amelia says "Minerva I ask Harry as a concerned parent when my ward Susan told me. As I am regent of House Bones I must be sure that House Bones continues and therefore Susan needs to be safe. Therefore I want to know how big the danger was and I must admit there is a part of curiosity as Susan mostly now rumours. Even you admit you don't know much."

"As I am not talking as the director or the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and I only like to know what Harry knows he doesn't need his guardian or a representative from the magical guardian why you are here Minerva. If I did interrogate Harry then I must follow the guardian's rules unless the reason for the interrogation is something the guardian forbids. Anyway, I am just want to make sure Susan will be safe and the monster will not attack again. Won't you agree, Mr. Sights?"

Sirius is surprised that Amelia asks his opinion. She just hopes that Sirius agrees with her as Professor McGonagall would then be on her own.

Sirius says "I think you are right Madam Bones. I would also allow Harry to talk about anything that is needed and will only intervene if there are contracts or anything else that could endanger House Potter be handled by me if I am the guardian."

Sirius thinks 'what I am or at least supposed to be.'

Professor McGonagall "I just don't think it is a good idea."

Amelia sighs and says "Susie why don't you take Harry to the backyard and talk while I stay here. Just make sure you stay in sight of the Aurors."

Susan looks at Amelia and when Amelia nods Susan got an extremely happy face and almost jumps up.

She says "come on Harry I will show you around."

Within a second Susan grabbed Harry's wrist and drag him along which reminded him of the time she dragged him to the old defence against the dark arts classroom to talk. He says "sure Susan. Can Hedwig fly around in the backyard?"

Susan nods. Harry follows after her with Athena and Hedwig following after Harry.

9th August 1993, Kitchen, The Ossuary

As soon as Harry and Susan left the kitchen and are out of earshot Amelia says "Minerva if you can answer the question I won't need to talk to Harry but apparently, you couldn't as I asked you before. Everything you told me you said Harry told you. I would like to hear that from him personally also I want to know if any rumour Susan heard is close to the truth and if not what the truth is. Also as I recall Harry couldn't get into the details as that would have severely distressed Miss Ginevra Weasley also known as Ginny Weasley. As Ginny isn't here he can."

Sirius is wondering what they are talking about when Professor McGonagall says "Harry has told Professor Dumbledore. I think if anything is still wrong Professor Dumbledore would have granted you access during the summer to take care of the problem. I told you what Harry told me and while he didn't tell any details I don't think that is necessary the attacker and monster are gone."

Sirius wants to know what has happened as Harry apparently was in great danger.

Sirius screams almost losing his focus what could remove the glamour charm "MONSTER? WHAT KIND OF MONSTER AND WHAT DID HARRY HAVE TO DO WITH IT?"

Amelia and Professor McGonagall look at Sirius. Sirius sees it and says " sorry, excuse me. I asked Harry about the last two years but it seems that Harry didn't tell me anything about a monster. Could you please explain what Harry forgot to tell me?"

Amelia looks at Professor McGonagall to start.

Professor McGonagall says "very well Mr. Sights. Last year the legendary chamber of Secrets made by Salazar Slytherin was reopened. The chamber was never found but someone opened it and used the monster it contained to attack muggleborns."

Sirius interrupts her and almost screams again. He says "but Harry isn't a muggleborn. He is a pureblood as his father was a pureblood so he is also pureblood not that I want any muggleborn witch or wizard to be attacked and killed."

Professor McGonagall looks with a stern look at Sirius which reminds him of his schooldays when he pranked James and Remus and she caught them.

As Sirius stays quiet Professor McGonagall continues "it was Miss Ginevra Weasley although she didn't do it voluntarily. Easily said she was possessed. At the end of the year, a message was left that she was dragged down. I don't know how but Mr. Potter found the entrance to the chamber. He went down with Mr. Ronald Weasley, Miss Ginevra Weasley's brother and Professor Defence Against the Dark Arts Gilderoy Lockhart who was a fraud apparently."

"He tried to obliviate them but he managed to get Mr. Ronald's Weasley wand who had broken earlier the year and was repaired with spellotape. He cast the curse but it rebounded and Lockhart lost his own mind, not remembering anything. It caused a cave-in at Lockhart hit the roof of the way they were following separating Lockhart and Mr. Weasley on one side and Mr. Potter on the other side."

"Harry continued on as Mr. Weasley would make a hole so they could get through it on the way back and asked him to save his younger sister. Mr. Potter agreed and when he reached the Chamber of Secrets he was attacked by a basilisk. He fought it with the Sword of Gryffindor and managed to kill it. He managed to save Ginny but in the aftermath, he was bit by the Basilisk. He was dying but fortunately, Fawkes Professor Dumbledore phoenix was with him and cried in his bite wound and neutralized the venom of the basilisk."

Sirius asks "where was the wound?"

Professor McGonagall says "if I remember correctly it was on his right upper arm. Why?"

Sirius says "if he has trouble with his right arm I should know why not that he has right now."

He decided to not tell them about Harry's tattoos or whatever they may be.

Amelia says "Minerva is there anything about the entrance or what happened in the chamber that Harry has said?"

Professor McGonagall shook his head and says "no, most I know is what Professor Dumbledore said together with the rumours I did manage to find a few things out by the matter of deduction but nothing with certainty. Professor Dumbledore was very vague and was answering my questions with questions and assumptions."

Amelia says nothing to let the words sink in. After almost 10 minutes Amelia says "and that is why I need to talk to the only eye-witness that we have. But I still don't do this as Director of the DMLE."

Professor McGonagall says "alright I understand. I will allow it, but Amelia please don't let Professor Dumbledore know or that I hear that Harry is arrested."

Amelia says "Minerva trust me I have no intention to tell Professor Dumbledore. I also have no intention of arresting Harry far from that but I think that I will come to that later. Just like I sa…"

Harry rushes in with an enraged face and in tears, Susan is behind him trying to calm Harry down.

9th August 1993, backyard, The Ossuary

As soon as they reach the backyard Hedwig takes to the skies. Harry stops in his track. Athena immediately took her chances and slither around Harry's left leg before sliding up until she can rest her head on his shoulder again.

Harry looks around and notices that the manor is large and the backyard is also big. Susan asks "Harry why don't we sit here?"

Susan points at a small bench far enough for the Aurors not to hear them at least Susan thinks so. The Aurors cannot see the bench. Susan knows that Aurors are around although she can't see them.

Susan takes a seat and when Harry takes a seat next to her Susan immediately sits as close to him as she can without making him uncomfortable. Amelia allows Susan to talk about the marriage contract with the nod and she doesn't want to wait one second more. She hopes she can immediately get her first kiss from Harry. She has hope as he likes how she looks.

Susan says "Harry I need to tell you something."

Harry says "Susan as I said in Hogwarts I don't hate you."

Susan says "that isn't it but I am so happy you don't. I wanted to say that I wanted to be your friend from the first time I saw you. I tried but I never could as in the first year Ronald said you don't want to be friends with Hufflepuffs and didn't leave you alone. He prevented us from becoming friends and Hermione was too busy in the library to help me."

Harry looks confused and says "I never said I don't want to be friends with Hufflepuffs. I will admit I don't like all the Hufflepuffs but I don't mind being friends with you Susan. I don't know about the others in our year as they did call me the Heir of Slytherin to me or talked behind my back trying to convince others."

Susan looks at the ground and says "for that, I am very sorry. I should have said something. I tried to be your friend again but again Ronald worked against me. When he finally left you alone after Justin I was afraid of what the others of my house would think if they saw me talk to you and when I finally dared I planned to do I after the Quidditch match it was cancelled as Hermione was petrified. Ron was with you again he prevented it again."

"I tried to talk to you but it looked like you didn't hear me when you were alone especially when you went to the hospital wing to be with Hermione. Madam Pomfrey never let us stay unless we came for one of the petrified students or were injured. I came for you but you weren't petrified so Madam Pomfrey sends me away when I didn't want to answer her and that is not mentioning that Ron was with you also sometimes when you went to Hermione."

Harry says "I couldn't let her be alone. It was my fault she ended up in the hospital wing. She was in the library until right before the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff to find out what kind of monster would be attacking the other students. If I didn't ask she may not be attacked."

Susan grabs Harry's hand and says "Harry it isn't your fault Hermione wanted to do it for you. I am sure she doesn't blame you. Remember the hug she gave you. That wouldn't be from someone that hates you. She certainly looked like she was proud that you killed the monster and stopped the attacks."

Harry says "I may have stopped the attacks but I couldn't have done it without Hermione finding the creature down there and Fawkes, Professor Dumbledore's phoenix helped me take out one of the most dangerous abilities."

Susan wants to ask more but she isn't sure Harry will tell her and even if he does she doubts he would tell her aunt and need to tell it a second time. She will wait for her Aunt to ask these questions. Susan only responds by grabbing his hand harder.

It takes a couple of minutes before letting go of Harry had and saying "there I something else I need to talk to with you Harry."

Harry simple asks "sure, what is it?"

Susan has thought about this for the past months when Harry still wasn't showing any indication he doesn't know about the marriage contract and now is her chance, the change she desperately wanted for years. She doesn't know how to start. She knows she doesn't need to talk about the history of marriage contracts as this isn't a lecture this is real life. She considered telling him when it was signed and she thought about why, but eventually decided that she will only do that if Harry is having trouble understanding although she doesn't think that would be a problem. She almost knows for certain Harry is smarter than he pretends to be in class especially if you see how soon he can cast the new spells.

She thinks she needs to tell it when Harry wonders why it happened as they barely talked with each other. Susan hopes everything goes well so she can finally tell her best friend Hannah about her betroth and if Hannah was still thinking bad about Harry she may need other friends although she hopes Hannah doesn't. She knows she always needs to side with her betroth especially as he will become Lord Bones that she wants.

Harry waits as it seems this was difficult for Susan otherwise she would have already told him at least Harry thinks so. They didn't have a long talk in Hogwarts but Susan was quite frank at least the only one who was more frank is Hermione and Sirius was also frank not as much as Susan but it difference wasn't much.

Susan finally says "Harry I know this may be a bit weird especially as we were very young but between our families something was decided. I was mad at first but I am very happy now. I could have waited longer but I don't want to."

Harry asks "what do you mean?"

Susan asks timidly "could you please let me finish if you don't like it I am very sorry but it needs to be done."

Harry nods and Susan takes a deep breath, it is time for the truth that can go four ways. It can go perfectly Harry will accept and even though he can get other wives he will love her at least the same as his Ladies Potter or it goes just right or it will go bad or even worse than it will crash and burn what will be very hard to have a happy marriage and life.

Susan decides it is now or never.

Susan starts "Harry I know it is not used in the muggle world anymore but it is still very much used in our world. It is mostly used by pureblood but not all pureblood are like Malfoy. You also have purebloods like me ….. and you. I don't really know how to say this so I think it is better if I just say it. Harry you and I are betrothed by a marriage contract signed by your parents and my parents when we were babies."

"Even though it is signed there are some things we need to agree on before the contract is completed. Even though the contract isn't completed the contract is valid. You will become Lord Bones when we marry as I will become Lady Bones. As you are the last of your line you will need at least one of two OTHER wives for House Potter."

Susan stops talking not knowing if she needs to say more.

Harry thinks 'what did just happen? Am I married to this beautiful girl in front of me?'

Harry asks "does someone else know?"

Susan says "I don't know."

Harry asks "is it possible other purebloods know about this?"

Susan nods and says "I think that your magical guardian knows like your godfather or mother as Auntie is my godmother. I don…"

Harry runs towards the manor. Susan immediately follows. The Auror with pink hair sees them running towards the manor and immediately follows them.

9th August 1993, kitchen, The Ossuary

Harry rushes in with an enraged face and in tears, Susan is behind him trying to calm Harry down.

Harry looks at Sirius and asks angry "Padfoot, you mutt, why didn't you tell me? If you were as good friends as you said you were you know. Why didn't you tell me Padfoot?"

Amelia and Professor McGonagall have immediately drawn their wand on Sirius. Sirius asks "Madam Bones, Professor McGonagall is something wrong?"

Amelia says "drop the act, Sirius Black. I know you were called Padfoot by James, Remus and rest his soul Peter Pettigrew. So if you just show yourself."

Sirius says "you are mistaken Madam Bones. Like I said before I am Mr. Grimm Sights."

Professor McGonagall says "Sirius as ex-Gryffindor I ask once nicely. Show yourself or suffer the consequences, especially after what you did to James."

Sirius knows his cover is blown and says "alright, alright but only if you will listen to what I have to say please Amy."

Amelia says "don't call me that Sirius."

Amelia looks into Sirius's eyes even though they have another colour and see that Sirius is speaking the truth. Amelia says "fine just cancel the glamour."

Sirius says "yeah about that I don't have a wand."

Professor McGonagall asks "then how did you change your appearance?"

Amelia and Professor McGonagall know as they immediately look at Harry. Harry is however too mad at Sirius to notice an almost crying Susan behind him.

Sirius says "yes Harry allowed me to use his wand."

Amelia cast "Finite Incantatem" aiming at his face. When Sirius changes back to his normal face with those eyes Amelia feels like when she saw him earlier today.

She thinks 'it seems my magic and feelings saw through the magic.'

The pink-haired Auror stand in the door open when Amelia said "Sirius". She is just about to call the other Auror when Sirius sees her and says "hello Nymphadora it is nice to see you again."

She immediately says while her hair turns red "don't call me that. It is just Tonks."

Amelia sees that Tonks is about to call the Aurors and says "stop Auror trainee Tonks, don't call the other Aurors. I will listen to what Sirius has to say."

Sirius says "Thank you, Amy, but first yes Harry I knew but I thought Amy I mean Amelia according to her letter didn't want to talk about the marriage contract between you and Susan. And I see that she just didn't tell the whole truth as she let Susan do the talking. Before you continue I think you need to look behind you at Susan."

Harry turns and sees that Susan is crying. Harry says "Susan I am sorry I gave you the wrong impression."

Susan asks timidly while crying "y—you mean y-you ar-aren't mad?"

Harry says "no Susan. If I give you that impression I am really sorry. I was surprised and mad at Sirius for not saying anything while he knew. I am not mad at you."

Susan gives a watery smile and she says "I- I wou-would lik-like to fin-finish the marr-marriage con-contr-contract to-today."

Harry says "if you want that we can Susan but I am muggle raised and they don't use marriage contracts anymore. I don't really know what to do."

Susan looks disappointed and Harry sees she is going to cry again. He immediately walks to her and hugs her. Susan immediately put her arms around him for comfort. It takes a couple of minutes before Susan stops crying.

When she has stopped Harry says "Sirius can you help me with completing the marriage contract?"

Sirius nods. Harry says "alright then. Susan, I will finish the contract if you still want to do it."

Susan looks up and nods he head. She says "yes I want to do it."

Professor McGonagall says "you cannot do that Harry. Only your magical guardian can and that is Professor Dumbledore."

Sirius says "that can't be possible!"

Professor McGonagall asks "why not?"

Sirius says "I was there when James and Lily made their Will. Professor Dumbledore isn't on the list of guardians. I was first before I was wrongfully imprisoned…"

Amelia says "wrongfully imprisoned? What do you mean?"

Sirius says "Harry I think it is better if you don't hear this. Please it is important."

Reluctantly Harry walks with Susan still in his arms back to the garden. Tonks let them walk by but stays in the kitchen.

Sirius asks "Dora could you please wait outside?"

When Amelia nods Tonks reluctantly follows her order.

Sirius says "I didn't betray James and Lily. Pettigrew was the secret keeper or better said he still is."

Amelia says "what do you mean is. You killed him."

Sirius says "no I did not but I wish I did."

Amelia says "let's just pretend you tell the truth, Sirius. Tell us what really happened or at least think about what you think happened."

Sirius says "I thought I killed him too until recently."

Sirius says when they are alone "on the 29th of July Fudge came for the once a year minister inspection although it was more a visit to Azkaban, He had the Daily Prophet with him and I asked for it. He gave it to me and there I saw the evidence. It was a picture of the Weasley's and on the shoulder of their youngest son was a rat named Scabbers. That rat I would recognize everywhere. That rat is Pettigrew we called him Wormtail as he has an Animagus form, the form of a rat. He faked his death. He used the explosion charm on a pipeline that uses gas according to Lily so the explosion was larger. He cut off his finger and he escaped through the sewer like the rat he is."

Amelia asks "are you sure?"

Sirius says "yes. I think it is time that you see Padfoot."

Sirius transforms into his Animagus form. He walks around before turning back with a large smile. He says "and that is Padfoot."

Professor McGonagall asks "you are an Animagus since when?"

Sirius says "that should be the fifth year. It was so we could keep Remus company during the full moon."

Professor McGonagall asks "with James Transfiguration's talent he was one too right?"

Sirius says "yes his name was Prongs. He was a stag and the largest of the three of us. Well, Remus was a bit bigger but that is his werewolf side, it isn't his Animagus form of course. He can't have one because he is a werewolf."

Professor McGonagall is amazed that James, Sirius and even Peter managed to become an Animagus three years before her while they were still in Hogwarts and she was even seen as one of the best transfiguration mistresses of her time.

Amelia asks "why didn't you want Harry to know? Doesn't he has the right to know who and where the betrayer from his parents is?"

Sirius says "normally I would but if Harry tries to get Scabbers or he thinks someone else knows who he really is. I am afraid he will attack or even kill who he can. He killed the muggles just to cover his escape and fake his death. What do you think he will do with Hogwarts with a school full of children not to mention where a part of the children has a Death Eater parent or even parents. I wouldn't be surprised if he says something to one of the children and they know they need to help him. Pettigrew also knows most secret passages in and out of Hogwarts."

Amelia says "we can grab him. But how did you get imprisoned didn't you get a trial?"

Sirius says "no I didn't get one. I suspected Dumbledore to get me one but didn't have the time with Voldemort gone. After two weeks I knew he wouldn't come to get me out and now I know why."

"It was to get custody of Harry. I was first and Alice and Frank were second and I know why they can't Bellatrix screamed in agony as she was under control at that time. Anyway, as third my cousin Andromeda Tonks, Ted Tonks and Nymphadora Tonks."

Amelia says "I am sorry to say Sirius but Ted is dead."

Sirius asks "what happened? Don't tell me the Death Eaters killed him."

Amelia says "no. I was a few years ago Ted was overseas to help other countries with law wizards and witches to also work for muggles as Ted was a muggleborn. He was in Germany when it had a dragon pox outbreak. He was dead before he even got treatment."

Sirius asks "how is Andi doing and Dora?"

Amelia says "they had a hard time but as you see it seems that Tonks is alright. She has lost a part of herself but using the Tonks name is partially to keep her father with her otherwise, it would be Nymphadora no-name. Knowing Tonks she wouldn't mind so I think it is mostly to remember her father by."

"Andromeda was back at work shortly after Ted died and was buried in Godric's Hollow by his wishes. Andi worked very hard to forget the grief and for her, it worked apparently."

Professor McGonagall asks "who was further on the list?"

Sirius says "of course. The fourth one was you, Amelia."

Amelia looks shocked. Sirius decides to continue quickly before he gets interrupted again.

"Fifth on the list were the Greengrasses as Lily was a good friend with Isabel. Sixth on the list was you Professor McGonagall and if possible together with Professor Flitwick and the seventh and last was that Harry should take to the London orphanage led by the squib Father George and if possible be adopted but not change his name by a couple with at least one muggleborn or by muggle parents with a magical child."

"Muggles like to have more than one child and it isn't uncommon but also not common that after bearing a magical child it is difficult to get pregnant again but if that happens that child will most of the time also be magical. In every case, it was asked Remus would have access to Harry as he is his honorary uncle but because of his condition he isn't allowed to take guardianship over Harry."

"Anyway, I need to get Harry to Gringotts so that he can take his Potter Heirship and Heir ring. I need to take the Black Lordship. He should have it at the age of eleven. Professor McGonagall, frankly I am appalled at what I heard of Harry or maybe better said not heard."

Professor McGonagall still shocked by hearing she was on the list asks "what do you mean Sirius?"

Sirius says "as James's godmother, I thought you will look out for Harry but apparently, you didn't. You let him go to Lily's muggle sister which was forbidden in their Will. Harry barely knows anything about his parents while you could tell pretty much anything Harry wants to know. I lost every ounce of trust in Dumbledore don't let me lose my trust in you, Minnie."

Professor McGonagall looks to the ground and says "you are right. I shouldn't have listened to Professor Dumbledore to let Harry with his Aunt and I should have looked after him as I know how Lily thought about her sister and her sister's husband. Also when Harry entered Hogwarts I should have looked out for him but I failed as Dumbledore said I should leave him alone. Also, he took care of Harry before Hogwarts but I must admit he was rather small when I saw him at Hogwarts the first time."

She looks at Sirius and almost begs "I want to do better Sirius. I want to have that opportunity, will you let me?"

Sirius says "I should withdraw him but if you want and I need to find Pettigrew and at Hogwarts, I can protect Harry even with Pettigrew close I will give you a chance Minnie. Don't fail James and Lily again. First I need to get Harry to his real guardian Andi as I can't officially take it as an escaped prisoner, not a convict. I need to stop Dumbledore as Harry's magical guardian which means I also need to go to Gringotts as Harry's real magical guardian hopefully they allow me as they are a separate nation and not part of the ministry. I hope that I can at least temporally let Andi be it."

Amelia nods and says "yes. Are you sure it isn't better if we capture Pettigrew?"

Sirius says "no this is something I need to do on my own that is safer for everyone. I will make a Will for the change he gets me again. In that Will, I will make sure Harry doesn't go to Petunia and Vernon again. I can use a law that if I am not able to take care he goes to the next available on the list and that is Andi. I just hope that she will believe me that I didn't betray James and Lily I also hope that Remus believes me when I find him."

Professor McGonagall says "about that. Professor Dumbledore managed to get Remus as Professor for Defence Against the Dark Arts. He used the excuse that Remus can protect Harry from you. I think Remus still thinks you betrayed James and Lily."

Sirius says "then I need to meet him in my Animagus form on the full moon."

Professor McGonagall says "I don't know if that is a good idea as Professor Snape the potions professor makes the wolfsbane potion for Remus so he can stay in his room instead of running into the forbidden forest although he may go if he smells your scent."

Sirius sees that Amelia doesn't like this. He says "Amy please trust me. If you send you Aurors and the rat notice if he can escape in his rat form. I capture him as I know what he can do is basically my only chance to be the godfather for Harry will be gone and I will have also failed James and Lily. It seems many have failed Harry I don't want to be added to the list. Minnie, I don't blame you completely but should have known better. Amy, while I have full trust in you I don't trust the ministry or the wizengamot."

"I think Pettigrew gets killed, escapes or any other way that doesn't get me free as Malfoy will certainly want me out of the picture as without a Will the Black name, wizengamot seat and fortune will go to his pompous arse of a son Draco. I don't need to know him to know he will be just bad as his father is not worse. I am not even sure if Draco is Narcissa's son but that can be discussed another time."

"I think we better get Harry back so Minnie can apologize and promise to Harry to do better and I would like to know more about the chamber as want you, don't you, Amy? Also not forgetting finishing the contract Susan so desperately wants."

Amelia blushes as Sirius keeps calling her Amy only he can while she nods. She uses her own Director or DMLE badge to signal Tonks to come in.

Outside nothing was said Harry just keep hugging Susan to comfort her which Susan uses to the fullest.

When Tonks feels her badge and knows that they can come back in. Tonks says "come on lovebirds Director Bones says we can come back in."

Harry immediately let go. Susan gives a glare at Tonks but when Tonks looks back with a normal gaze Susan immediately looks to the ground following Harry in and Tonks went in last.

Sirius says "Harry we agreed that we will complete the contract but first we talk about last school year."

A/N It is the same as the canon. Neville went with Harry to the Slytherin common room but Harry said he and Neville managed to eavesdrop on Malfoy, not to mention using a forbidden potion brewed by Hermione. The end of the chamber is in chapter one although Harry tells no one about the sorting hat and bonding with Athena. Harry clearly states that the attack would stop not that he killed the monster.

Harry says "it seems that Neville after I send him to go to Professor McGonagall stayed there until Fawkes brought me back."

Professor McGonagall says "I wanted to help you Harry but when Mr. Longbottom guides me to Moaning Myrtle's lavatory the entrance was closed. Mr. Longbottom didn't know about another entrance. We went back to my office as I didn't know what we could otherwise do."

"Why did it take so long Harry before you were brought by Fawkes? It took quite a lot of time."

Harry says "I wanted to make sure that the attacks would stop and I needed to gather the sorting hat, the sword of Gryffindor and the destroyed diary. I still got the fang that was in my arm. Professor Dumbledore wanted him but I refused as the fang was in my arm."

Athena put her head closer to Harry's as she feels guilty over what happened even though she was controlled. Professor McGonagall looks very sad barely controlling her tears that Harry was almost dead as she already heard it. Sirius just having heard it was looking sad that he had failed Harry for not being there when he needs him. Amelia looks surprised while Susan has a look of fear on her face with tears about how close Harry was to dying.

None of the rumours even came close to what really happened. The only right thing is that Harry stopped the attacks and killed the monster that she now knows was a Basilisk. No one noticed that Harry never said he killed the Basilisk only that he stopped the attacks.

After a couple of minutes of nobody saying anything, Professor McGonagall says "Harry I am very sorry for not helping you or stopping the others from calling you Heir of Slytherin. I know I should but Dumbledore said to not as it builds character. I am very sorry."

"I promised you father that I will watch out for you when you entered Hogwarts. I promised him not only as Transfiguration professor, Head of Gryffindor house or Deputy headmistress I also promised him as his godmother. Yes Harry I am the godmother of your father so I am kind of your god grandmother."

"Dumbledore thought it would be better if I didn't tell you as according to Dumbledore it would remind you of your parents too much and that you would get mad at me for not being able to save your father and one of my favourite students ever Lily. You can call me in private as your father and Sirius Black called me Minnie. Can you please forgive me?"

Harry looks at Sirius. Sirius nods and Harry says "I guess I can try Professor McGonagall."

Professor McGonagall falls when he called her Professor McGonagall. She asks "Harry can you try calling me Minnie like you did when you were small?"

Harry says "alright …. uh Minnie,"

The moment he said it a memory appears. The memory was a younger Professor McGonagall pulling out of his crib at least he thinks it was his crib. She held her finger in front of him and he grabs it with his right hand. He hears her say "you are right Lily he will be a strong wizard and probably just a good seeker as his father" which made Lily groan.

Harry grabs his head as it gives him a big headache. Susan immediately asks "Harry are you alright?"

Susan is already halfway out of her chair to help Harry however she can.

Harry says "yes I am fine. I just saw a memory from long ago when I called Professor McGonagall Minnie."

Professor McGonagall says "Harry why don't when school starts we can talk in my office when we both have time. You can ask me about your parents what Sirius didn't know or isn't sure about. I can tell you about James before Hogwarts and Lily until she finally relented becoming your father's girlfriend and later wife."

"Lily finally gave James a chance when he was studying in their OWL year and he helped some of the younger years with Transfiguration and DADA. Also showed second years what the electives were and what he had. Lily as Prefect was impressed by it and while James wasn't the other Prefect he still helped younger students what isn't done except by Prefects."

"Anyway, she agreed on a date on Christmas day in their fifth year even though they both went home for Yule Holiday. I don't know everything but apparently, it went good as in the summer between their fifth and sixth year they became a couple. Lily was annoyed in the first weeks of the sixth year as he interrupted her when she studied to spend time with her and James didn't want to study went they spent time together."

Sirius laughs and says "I remember that. For the first few weeks he was almost hexed by Lily every day but she never threatened to break up with him. She only threatened by making James spend the night in the hospital wing although she smiled every time after she said meant she wasn't serious unless he went too far. Also, she is Lily and I am Sirius."

Amelia rolls her eyes and says "really. Isn't that getting old?"

Sirius says "never."

Susan says with the most confidence Amelia ever heard her even more than when she was sure she was a Hufflepuff like her and her parents and more than telling Harry about the marriage contract "can we discuss the last things for the contract please."

The moment she stopped talking she realised what she did and immediately blush and looks down in embarrassment.

Amelia says "sure Susan let me get the contract."

Amelia walks away and comes back five minutes later with a parchment. She put it down and says "as you can see the marriage contract is already valid. However, both of your parents left some things open for discussion like the ability for you Harry to have more wives if you both are the last of your lines as Susan needs to continue House Bones and you need to continue House Potter and who knows what more."

She looks at Sirius that gives a small nod only Professor McGonagall notice and Susan and Harry stare into each other's eyes trying to see if one of them was considering the whole marriage and if Harry needs extra wives. Susan isn't happy about that but raised as a pureblood she knew it was going to happen. She nods that he should.

Harry says "Susan said it is needed so I guess."

Amelia nods and waves her wand making it written in the contract. Despite the big chance of more women, Susan is happy that it is Harry. She trusts that Harry has a big enough heart to never treat anyone different and she is the first of his wives although if there is a dominant battle between the wives she knows she will lose. Her being the only Lady Bones makes her hopeful though.

Amelia says "I activate that part as it is needed. Your parents showed me how to activate it with the wording they used. Now next is something you may have never thought about that is the number of children you want to have. I suggest that as it will strengthen the contract. If you are not certain we can activate it with the at least clause that you will at least children but then it must be at least two."

Harry asks "what do you want Susan?"

Susan is a bit shocked Harry asks her. It is already uncommon she is present for the talk but Harry even asks for her thoughts and wants. Normally even if the witch is present she isn't allowed to talk or voice her opinion or wishes.

Susan says "I always wanted a big family and siblings. Harry can we say that we will have at least three children for House Bones. We can decide if we have more or not when we are married and have fulfilled the three children for House Bones. We may have a fourth child if your other wives haven't given you a son by the time they reach three children or don't want more children after the first or second time."

Harry a little bit red says "if that is what you want then I agree. I also want a big family."

Susan smiles very largely which makes Harry happy.

Amelia says "next is ….. ah yes the title Harry will get. Susan do you still want Harry as Lord Bones?"

Susan nods and Amelia says "alright as it is your choice you cannot choose in this matter, Harry."

Harry looks at Sirius and he says "don't worry Harry. It is nothing bad it is just you have more rights in House Bones when you marry what will most probably be soon after Hogwarts. There are some situations where you need to marry before finishing your education at Hogwarts but for now, that isn't needed if you don't want to. Amy?"

Amelia nods and says "yes Sirius in the contract is that you Susan preferable marry Harry before Harry turns eighteen. If that isn't possible the wedding date must be known when Harry becomes eighteen and you must marry before Harry turns nineteen."

"Susan you must be pregnant when you turn twenty-one and when Harry turns twenty-one, Susan, you must be not more than a few weeks away from giving birth to your (first) child. After that, there are no rules for when the other two or three are born."

Susan nods happily and Harry nods sheepishly while inside being very scared. Sirius seems to notice as he just put his hand on Harry's shoulder, squeezing it to show his support and everything is alright.

Tonks is still standing next to the door with her wand in her hand because of Sirius. Tonks doesn't know why she feels like this. Tonks feels anger and sadness although the anger is much stronger. She thought it was about Sirius but she knew almost the second later it isn't Sirius it is Harry and the marriage contract with Susan. Tonks tries to keep looking indifferent but her ability as Metamorphmagus especially her hair shows that Tonks isn't happy.

Sirius is the only one who notices as Amelia, Susan and Professor McGonagall are faced away from Tonks and Harry is too preoccupied with thinking about the contract that probably only very little can get his attention. Sirius immediately thinks Hermione Granger and Daphne Greengrass (because of Harry's smile) are probably the only ones and maybe Neville can too. He knows Susan will also be one in a matter of time.

Sirius decides to look at Tonks and when he looks he sees that Tonks saw it as her hair is back to vibrant pink but Sirius knows sure that he sees some red streak in her hair that is almost not visible and seems to disappear. Sirius gives her a wink before focussing back on the marriage contract or better said, Amy. Sirius smiles when he sees Tonks's hair turn red purely from anger in the corner of his eyes.

Amelia says "I think that is all."

Susan says "no Auntie you forget as having a marriage contract we can request a separate dorm. As we are the last of our line it is a second reason to have a separate dorm as we have a marriage contract. Auntie, can I wear the Heiress ring if Harry is going to wear his Heir ring? Lastly, can others know?."

Amelia says "Susan that is mostly Harry's decision especially if you want Harry to be Lord Bones as it gives him big control over House Bones and you."

Susan says "I know that Auntie and I don't mind. Everything inside me says I can trust Harry. What do you want Harry?"

Harry looks shocked before he says "no Susan I don't want control over you. You are your own person and I shouldn't be able to control you."

Susan timidly says "that is why and what I want, Harry. You have control but you don't have to use it. According to Auntie Amelia, my parents and your parents had that as they become Ladies from the houses but they hardly ever did unless it was something that my father and your father were against. This is just that you have control over me even before we are married I know you would never endanger me or do anything I don't want to do."

Sirius says "Harry, Susan and Amelia are right. Lily was mad when she found out after the engagement but James kept his word that he rarely uses to control her as she would be very mad if he did and he was the same as you, Harry. You can deny but I suggest a lesser clause that you have some control over House Bones and Susan. It is extra protection for her and protects her house by giving you control even if it is to a lesser degree."

Harry groans and says "fine, but please Susan, don't tell others yet. It isn't that I am unhappy to have a marriage contract with you, really I am quite happy but if Hermione hears I can have more wives she will kill me before bringing me back lecture me and then kill me again if not worse. I think Daphne will also kill me."

Susan says "I don't think Daphne really will. She is a pureblood raised like me she knows you can."

Harry groans before he says "anyway, to prevent other people from knowing I think we shouldn't get our own dorms at least not at this moment. You can wear the Heiress ring if Madam Bones agree that is completely your choice if Madam Bones agree I guess. I think I will wear mine, Sirius says it would be best if I do but hide it from the others. How I don't know."

Sirius says "Harry most Lord, Lady and Heir rings can be disillusioned. I know that the rings from House Black and House Potter can. I suspect that House Bones can too."

Amelia nods and says "most of the older houses can include our house. I think with this the contract is completed."

Sirius says "I agree Amy. I think Harry's and Susan's wishes are both fulfilled with the things they needed to decide right, Harry?"

Harry nods and says "Susan if I ever do something you don't want please tell me and if I ever hurt you please let me know. I would never want to do that. I want to also make sure to you that I am happy being betrothed to you even if I don't show it. I hope you can believe me."

Susan stands up and walks to Harry. She says "I do if you kiss me."

Harry stands up and kisses Susan on her cheek. After the kiss, Susan frowns and says "no Harry on the mouth like boyfriend and girlfriend."

Harry blushes but does what she asks. It was nothing more than a peck but it was enough. Susan gives a smile and is blushing when she runs upstairs.

Harry asks "did I do something wrong?"

Amelia smiles and says "no Harry you did not. I think you already see that Susan can be embarrassed easily. I can assure you Harry that Susan is happy you did what she asked and is now probably very embarrassed with a large smile in her room. It was her first kiss after all at least I hope it is."

Sirius says "I think we can better go before the Aurors want to know if everything is alright. Dora, please tell Andi that I come by soon … or you know what maybe it is better if you do not. I am not sure if she wants to see me or not although I think that depends if she believes me or not."

Tonks says "mother does believe you, Sirius. If you want I can tell you to come by and try to assure her that you just want to see her nothing more."

Sirius says "do that and tell her I bring someone she wants to see. I don't know when I can come by but I would be in the coming days I think."

Amelia says "I think you can better apply your glamour again Sirius."

Sirius says "I don't think that is needed. Dobby?"

Sirius and Harry wait but Dobby doesn't come.

Sirius asks "Harry if you can call for him."

Harry asks "Dobby?"

Dobby pops in and asks "what can Dobby do for Master Harry?"

"Dobby why didn't you come when Sirius called for you?" asks Harry.

Dobby says "Dobby is sorry Master Harry, but Dobby wanted to be able if Master Harry called for Dobby. Dobby will punish himself after doing what Master Harry wants."

Harry groans and says "Dobby you don't have to punish yourself."

Harry looks at Professor McGonagall and asks "Professor McGonagall ….. Minnie, could you please don't tell Professor Dumbledore about any of this like the marriage contract being finalized, me being with Sirius and Dobby being my house elf. I can also ask about Athena but Professor Dumbledore will see that when I come to Hogwarts as according to the charter I can have Hedwig and Athena."

Like he calls Hedwig, Hedwig comes out of the entrance hall. Hedwig is black not by the bond but by the soot of the chimney she came in by. The fireplace she used wasn't on as it is summer and quite warm outside.

Sirius says "Dobby can bring us home so we don't have to use the Leaky Cauldron."

Amelia waves her wand and says "now you can. Sirius, please be careful not only for you but also for Harry."

Professor McGonagall says "I will see you at school Harry. Don't forget your homework."

Harry nods and says "Dobby if you please get us back to Sirius's place."

Dobby nods and pops out with Sirius, Harry, Athena and Hedwig who landed on Harry's shoulder.

9th August 1993, Grimmauld Place, London

They pop into the living room. Harry falls again but Hedwig immediately flew off his shoulder and Athena hugged Harry closer like when he used the Floo.

When Harry stands up he says "I hate magical travel just give me a broom and I am happy."

Sirius laughs and says "you have some time before dinner. Maybe do the homework you still need to do."

Hedwig starts hooting and Harry says "it is alright, girl. I was planning to do it if you want me to."

Harry looks at Sirius and says "first I going to wash Hedwig. She is very proud of her white feathers and she wants me to wash the soot off her."

Sirius says "alright you know where the bathroom is. I will try to get us a quick dinner as I understand today was stressful and eventful. I can understand if you are tired I am."

Almost half an hour later Harry comes down with Hedwig on his shoulder having her beautiful white feathers. The dinner was uneventful.

After dinner, Sirius says "Harry I think we better sleep at least one more day in the living room. I could sleep in my room but for now, I prefer to sleep next to you in the living room. I still don't trust Kreacher also my room is the only bedroom that is clean enough and I don't want to give you a room full of Slytherin ideology and Slytherin glorification of what my mother did in my little brother's room."

"I would never want to sleep in the master's bedroom I am not even sure if I can enter because knowing my mother she sealed the master bedroom that only two of my female cousins can open for me. I think I should just try to destroy it and then rebuild the master bedroom to my liking even though I like my own room more."

Let's end here for now. In the next chapter, Sirius will prepare Harry for Gringotts and we will go to Gringotts and more.
