Chapter 01

Gone to the Dogs

Harry whimpered a little as he moved along the alley, feeling rather in many worse than almost any other moment he could ever remember. He was constantly hungry and needed food badly. If he has still been a human this would not be such a big issue. Though he might not have a lot of Muggle money, he did have a lot of wizarding money, and he could get to places where he could have spent it to get him the food he so desperately needed.

But as he was a dog now, no one would take money from him. To make that matter even worse than it would have been, he had no collar meaning he looked like a stray dog with his increasing messy fur. To top it off his appetite had only grown over the last few months since he had first changed into a dog. Harry knew the reason to this issue all too well, even if for the moment he tried his best to avoid acknowledging. Even if he knew he had to face that reason and reality very in only a few more short days.

Harry knew where all his current troubles had begun, and for once the blame had fallen nearly entirely on himself. After the second task, during his fourth year, Harry had begun his studies into becoming an Animagus. A witch or wizard that could changing into an animal. Something he wanted to do for a little while, both because his deceased father and still living godfather had both learned how to do it. The method they had used had been one of their own making, and was both simple and easy. And before the year had ended, Harry had managed not only to discover his form, but completed his first change back and forth. He had wanted, at the time to wait to share this as a surprise with his Godfather as a way of reconnecting.

Problem was, there was something he did not realize about the form. The form itself, at least for Harry seemed to be a little odd. He was a husky with pure white fur, and bright green eyes. Which considering his trademark messy black potter hair, the while flowing hair of his dog form seemed almost out of place. But that was not what was truly odd. Harry had spent a little time in the form during the summer, to get away from his relatives. Only to discover that he was not a he anymore, but a she. His Animagus form was female, how such a thing was even possible, Harry was not sure as nothing he had ever read on Animagus hinted at it being even a risk.

The big problem was that Harry had discovered this as she had gone into heat. Being unaware and unprepared for it, she did not think to control herself more or fight her urges. By the time she did come to think about it, another dog was mounting and having its way with her. Harry confused, scared and unable to think straight was left in a dazed till almost a day or so later. When she had awoken, still a dog and in a place she was not familiar with. Worse still as her memories returned of the event itself, she found she was unable to change back. The heat did not fully broke for another few days, but the damage was already done. Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived, was now a very much female pregnant dog.

This led to the biggest problem that Harry now faced. No one knew she was an Animagus. Meaning even though they were no doubt going to be looking for her soon, if not already, they would not likely find her as they were searching for human male. Even if they thought she might have changed into an animal they would still be looking for a male animal, not a female one. As cross gender transformations were hard enough for a normal witch or wizard, so the idea of a female animal would never cross anyone's mind, even his Transfiguration teachers would not think of it.

So stuck in what was a far cry from her normal form, and feeling the need for food, Harry had left in search of anyone. Her instincts began to take a front row in her mind over her normal human thoughts and feelings. Survival was the name of the game. She had to eat a lot so she could not only live, but take care of the growing forms within her. Now, months later she was almost entirely husky in mind and on the verge of giving birth to her first litter of puppies. Harry was sure once she had the puppies she could change back. Even if she had been able to think clearly, she knew she knew that even if she could change back she would never willingly abandon her soon to be born puppies.

Which led to her current problem, getting food. Getting caught would see her end up in a pound. Which while it might help short term, and even provide a safe place to have her pups. It would not work so well long term, as she did not want to just give her young away. Something which was very possible once they were old enough. What worried her even more was what would happen if someone found out they could change between a human and dog form. Without help, Harry could then easily lose them forever, either to some stupid scientist, or even the Ministry of Magic. It did not matter if they had come into being because of her heat and rape, the idea of losing her kids like that scared her worse than the idea of her giving birth.

Harry sniffed, and caught the smell of food nearby. Harry's tastes had changed a lot in the near three months since she had first found herself stuck as a dog. While Harry the human had been willing to stomach a lot before, due to what the Dursley's had forced on her. She had never considered a trashcan a good source of food. Now a trashcan full of food, was the promise of a tasty feast the like of which would see her aching belly full for the rest of the day. Still though, if she could steal a hot meal, she would not hesitate to do so.

Looking about one last time, Harry moved forward, and grabbed a sandwich from kid who was not paying attention, before taking off the food held happily in her jaws. Harry soon slowed once she was sure she was safe and quickly ate. It did not slate her hunger, not completely anyway, but it did help. With that she continued towards London, both to find food, but also to find a home. Instincts were beginning to push hard at her to find a place to have her young, and Harry knew they would be here soon.

It was the next day when Harry came to a stop outside a house. There was a smell to the place that seemed oddly familiar. Feline, yet hints of cinnamon and strawberry with several other tones Harry knew yet could not place. She had never seen the place before, yet something about the place clearly was called to her in a way none of the other places she had been by so far had done. Something about its scent said told her this was a home and a friend to her. A kick in her belly and a twitch in her body reminded her she needed to find a place soon. A whimper escaped, as a small bit of fear escaped her, before she shook herself and headed towards the house.

No one was home, and the front door was locked. Sneaking around to the back, Harry found a door that could be turned with her dog paws. Carefully she got the door open before entering the house from the back. The familiar scent was now stronger than ever in the house, while the cat like hints of it were much clearer than ever. However, Harry could tell the scent was still old, with no one having renewed it for nearly a month. Yet it still brought Harry some weird sort of comfort, and her tail twitched back and forth lightly. Harry followed the scent to the room in which it was at its strongest, and found a bedroom filled to the brim with books. Each wall was lined with hundreds of books while a small bed and dresser sat almost out of place in the center of the room.

Harry sniffed at the bed, feeling herself calm down, the relaxing feeling easing the built-up tension in her body. This was her home, a place she could live. The scent was said friend and safety. Then looking at photo on one of the shelves she saw it. A girl with bushy brown hair smiling at the camera with two friends. It was picture of Hermione, himself and Ron.

Harry was in Hermione's parents' house! Harry would have barked and howled for joy at her luck if the sensations in her body did not tell her to find a spot and now. The feeling of easy and comfort had triggered her bodies basic functions into progression her pregnancy to its final stages. In short, the puppies were on the way and she could no longer wait. She grabbed Hermione's blanket off her bed, offering a silent apology for what she was doing before making a bed of sorts for herself.

She began to tremble and whimper loudly as her body began to go through the process of birth. Harry's male mind was not ready for this, and had little idea what to do. However, her dog side having been so strong for so long followed its instincts as soon one puppy was birthed followed by another. She did not have a lot for her litter, only three. As she finished giving birth, she began licking them slowly clean, before nuzzling them to her tummy where they found their first meal. Harry now exhausted finally fell asleep, forgetting that she did not have a way to explain to Hermione or her parents what was going on.

Harry was awoken an hour later to the sound of voices. She blinked and looked around in confusion by the unfamiliar surroundings. It took a nearly a minute before her mind caught up to what was going on. The gentle tug on her teats alerted Harry to the very real fact that she was no longer pregnant, but in fact a mother now. Instinct drove her right then as she began licking her puppies cleaning them again and making sure they had plenty of milk. Once that was done, she was able to pay attention to the voices she had heard talking.

"Where do you think it came from," a male voice said.

"Who knows, I am more curious figured out how to open the back door," a female voice answered.

"Magic, maybe. It is hard to say, could be a normal dog, but it seems very odd a random dog just happened in off the street and settles in Hermione's room," the male voice said.

"We don't have any proof of that, could just be sheer happenstance," the female voice pointed out.

"We used to say that before we knew Hermione was a witch," the man said, sounding almost amused before adding, "Cannot really do too much till the puppies are a little older."

"I am just glad it seems like a small litter. It will be easier to take care of them," the female commented.

"Either a first-time mother, or not eating well. Both of those can cause that. If I remember my studies correctly," the male said, sounding thoughtful.

Harry stopped paying attention when she caught the scent of food, and water in the room. They were only a few feet from her, a small bowl of water and some deli meat. After chasing after meals and digging them out of trash for so long, the site and smell of easy to get meat was a gift of the gods. Seeing her kids slowing down, Harry got up and quickly ate the offerings and drank some water. She nuzzled the three into a small group before leaving the room to find both of Hermione's parents standing before her.

She froze, as did they. She was scared, not sure what to do or how to react. The idea of changing back did not even occur to her, as she whimpered looking up at the pair, her tail tucking between her legs. The woman carefully kneed down and held her hand out to Harry, letting her have a chance to sniff it. Harry did, and found hints of Hermione's familiar scent in it. The scent was a comfort to Harry, and she slowly began to relaxed a little, moving towards the woman slowly. The woman's hand was soon softly petting and rubbing Harry's fur in a comforting manner soothing away the fears she had. She would have given in fully to the feeling of these hands on her body had she not remembered the reason she had gotten up in the first place.

She hurried to the past the pair, and to the back door where she carefully opened it back up again like she had done so before. Hurrying out she quickly did her business before hurrying back inside and back to her pups. Her instincts told her they needed her and her warmth for the moment. And Harry was not going to do anything else till she was sure they were safe. As she lay back down, she noticed a familiar white owl landing by the window.

Hedwig gave a cheerful hoot when she noticed the dog. While she had only seen Harry's form once or twice, it was enough combined with the familiar bond to let her know just who this dog was before her. In this form, she was even able to talk to Harry, even if they were limited one what they could really say. But though Hedwig could do that, and knew who Harry was, that was not enough to help Harry pass on the message of who she was to other people. The Granger parents saw the letter connected to Hedwig's leg and took it off, before handing Hedwig a few treats. Hedwig took them happily, before to their shock and amazement flapped her wings and settled down by Harry and her puppies.

Harry felt her instincts rise for a moment. The need to defend her pups from this monster pushed through her. Yet she slammed it down before her lips even pulled back to form the beginning of a snarl. This was Hedwig, her first and closest friend. Her trusted familiar. She would never harm Harry or her young. Indeed, she settled right down next to Harry, adding her own warmth to the sleeping puppies.

"Curious," Hermione's mother said, watching the odd interaction.

"Magic, is behind this I am sure of it," Hermione's dad said, looking most certain of it now.

"I agree, come on, open the letter," Hermione's mother said, looking at the letter, "Did they find him yet?"

"I sure hope so," Hermione's dad said, as he opened the letter looking concerned, "I don't think I have seen her more worried or scared. She sure misses the boy."

The pair was quiet for several moments as they read the letter. It clearly was not the best of news, though judging by their expressions it was not bad news either. Hermione's dad sank down onto Hermione's bed, and looked at Harry, then back at his wife looking grim.

"I… I wish I could help her," Hermione's father said, setting the letter down on the bedside table.

"I know. I doubt he would go that far," Hermione mother said sounding not just sad but rather worried as well, "I hope they find him alive. After his last year…"

"I will not give up hope yet," Hermione's father said softly yet firmly, "Hermione always said he was the strongest person she knew. And as stubborn as they come to boot. If there is any chance of him still being alive, that boy will be alive. They just need to find him."

"Are you trying to convince yourself or her?" Hermione mother asked softly.

"Both," Hermione's dad said after a few moments, "Hermione loves that boy. She just does not realize it… And I hate to see what would happen if she lost him."

Hermione's mother nodded, and glance down at Harry and Hedwig, "She might be realizing that as well now. You don't know what you have till it is to late they say. I hope they find Harry… If they don't, I don't think Hermione will want to return next year, not without him there."

Hermione's father nodded as he too looked down at Harry. Hardly aware the subject of their talk was laying their watching them, and unable to speak. Harry's instincts were still too strong for her to ignore, her puppies needed her. And she would not leave them be for a little while yet. So, the idea of changing back still did not occur to her mind even though she was finally free to change back should she desire. Though she too let out a soft whimper of pain and sadness at Hermione's pain and lose.

Harry would never have admitted it for a long time, but motherhood suited her surprisingly well. True, she was not raising traditional kids, and there were three rather than one. She was female rather than male. And of course, a dog not a human. But considering all that, she had never been happier or more content with life than she was now. She loved the three she had, a boy and two girls, and they were already becoming small beacons of light and joy to her. Though she was hardly a perfect mother, the puppies kept her calm and happy.

Harry's mothering instincts still held her strong for nearly three weeks till her puppies' eyes had fully opened and they could begin exploring their new world. This was a good thing, as if Harry been able to think about some of the things she had to do to keep the puppies clean. Well vomiting would have ensued several times already. The Grangers had decided, at least for the moment, to keep Harry housed in Hermione's room. Though she seemed clearly wild at first glance to the couple, they soon saw she acted with the best decorum. She never barked or howled as her kind was quite disposed to, and she let herself out when she needed outside. They had named her Jasmine, and had even gotten her a collar and tag that claimed her as their own.

Hedwig was in and out of the house every few days. It seems she was not only taking letters to Hermione's parents, but the others who were in London and beyond. But she always stopped by to spend time with Harry and watch Harry's puppies as they began to grow. Hermione's parents had noticed this odd behavior, and could not figure out what was causing it. Whether it was some mothering instinct Hedwig had, or something common to magical owls they could not guess. They not write about it either yet, though that might have helped Harry.

Harry knew the reason however. Hedwig saw Harry as part of her family, and by that same logic, Harry's puppies were part of Hedwig's family as well. Hedwig's presence also seemed to slowly bring back forth the part Harry's mind that was not governed by her instincts. Meaning that the teenage boy was slowly becoming more aware again, and trying to take at least partial control from the mothering dog. It was not enough to bring Harry fully out yet, but slowly the kid she had been was taking his place.

It was a full month since Jasmine had had her puppies, when she finally was able to attempt to change back. She had a few odd moments when her mind was clear enough to think more as the human Harry, than the dog Jasmine. Her mind was free of the instincts for a nearly a minute when she tried for the first time. Her young charges were not weaned yet, but they had begun to eat some of her own dog food which meant the demands on her had begun to decrease as well allowing for these wider periods of clear thinking.

Mrs. Granger, Anna, was sitting in a chair in Hermione's room reading a book, watching Jasmine and the puppies. She often did this when home to calm herself, but also to make sure the puppies did not cause a mess or get into trouble. So, she was around when Jasmine finally tried to change back. Hedwig who was nesting over the sleeping puppies was also nearby watching Jasmine just as closely.

Jasmine stood on all fours and tried to focus her mind enough to change back, to become human again. Free of her most basic needs, her mind was wonderfully clear. Problem was, though she could begin to focus her mind, the ability to change back seemed weirdly beyond her. Having been a dog so long, and gone through the process of giving birth and raising puppies for a month, Jasmine could not quite draw on the needed focus to regain her human form.

She tried several times, but the focus and change did not come to her. Anna watched her closely as Jasmine began to pant harder and harder before slumping onto the floor drained. Anna was by her side in an instant, a worried look in her eyes as the sight of Jasmine clearly being so tired yet having done nothing. Her body shook, with an effort, and even her magic seemed to cry out from the use, yet Jasmine the dog remined.

The whimper of her puppies, called Jasmine's instincts out again, and she slowly got up and slumped down besides the ever-hungry balls of fluff. Today she had failed, and her human side retreated, yet now Jasmine had a mind to return to normal it would only be a matter of time before she was indeed human again. She soon fell asleep, not noticing Ann's worried look as she studied first Jasmine and then the dog food and water in concern.

The next day, Jasmine was alone when she attempted the change back. Yet though she tired herself out and drained her magic, Jasmine could not find herself turning back from Jasmine the dog, to Harry the human. She moved back to the dog bed which was made form Hermione's blanket and tried to think what was blocking her changes back to a human. Nothing she could really think of came to mind, the puppies which had halted her change for so long were no longer in her. So, what was blocking her changes?

The reason did not come to Jasmine till the puppies were almost a full two months old. Nor did she discover the reason because of her own logic and reason. Rather it was because of her puppies and instincts. That day Anna was once again watching the puppies as they moved about the room. They were finally getting to the point where they could play with each other and were willing enough to wonder away from their mother for more than a few minutes at a time.

Jasmine was debating what was keeping her from changing when she heard a whimper that soon became a soft crying as she saw a young boy that could not have been older than two holding his head as tears leaked from his eyes. Anna was staring at the kid in shock, clearly wondering where the boy had come from. Jasmine knew without even thinking. That boy was her son, a son who had clearly just hit his head rather hard, and was now confused as to what was going on.

Jasmine's reaction was entirely instinctual as she walked over and changed to a human without even thinking and picked up her crying son. She cradled him in her arms speaking softly till he calmed down, and began to sleep in her arms. Till finally he changed back to the small white furred puppy he had just been. Jasmine smiled and sat him down so he could continue to play with his sisters, before she blinked as she realized she was human again.

"I…" Jasmine said, looking down at her own hands in shock.

She touched them in almost stunned disbelief at what she was seeing before slowly feeling her way up her body. Her arms and body was different, no longer male but female. A sizable chest now filled her view, while she could feel small changes and left over traces of her time as a dog remained. It was then Harry realized what had been holding her back.

"I am female," Jasmine said softly, surprised yet not at the soft feminine tone of her voice.

She jumped and changed back as she felt a tap on her shoulder, and saw Anna staring at her, with an expression of absolute confusion and shock. Jasmine changed to a dog form again, her fear taking hold of her for a moment, and a whimper escaped her. Before she regained control of herself and slowly changed herself back once more to a human form. Soft black hair fell in her face this time, and she smiled, it seemed at least her hair had not changed to much.

"Who are you?" Anna asked, staring at Harry both in concern and shock.

"My name," Jasmine said, feeling out the words in her mouth yet the felt almost wrong to her, "My name is Harry Potter."

"Harry Potter…" Anna said, repeating the words as if she did not believe them, "But that is a boy's name. And I have seen the kid in question you don't look like him at all."

Jasmine nodded, as she tried to figure out that herself. Why was she female now? Was it because of the puppies or something else she had not been aware of from when she was a kid? It could have been the method to become an Animagus she had used, or a mistake she had made in the process. Hard to tell until she got some help from others. The first thing she had to do for sure was at least convince Anna she was at least not lying.

"I am Harry Potter, or at least I was," Jasmine said wrapping her arms around herself and noticing now how badly her clothes fit her, "I am not sure what happened to leave me like this. But the long in short of it is, I am Animagus. A person who can change into an animal, and somehow became a female dog, and well heat… and yeah. I been trying to find help for a few months before I smell something familiar in this house. It was not till I got into this room did I realize why. This is where my friend Hermione lives. I don't know how to make you believe I am really Harry, but that is who I am."

Anna looked at Jasmine for several moments, clearly not quite believing what she was saying. Jasmine could not blame her either. Even she was having a hard time believing it, and she had been the subject of those events. She could think of a few things that would at least keep Anna from throwing her out on her rear with her three puppies, though nothing that would make her believe she was really Harry Potter. Thankfully Anna had thought of something thanks to Jasmine's form that she remember Hermione mentioning years ago in a very stupid moment of hers.

"What did Hermione say to you, when you got back after meeting Fluffy for the first time," Anna asked.

Jasmine blinked taken aback, "Huh what?"

"What did Hermione say to you after she and you got back to your dorms after meeting Fluffy," Anna asked repeated.

Jasmine blinked as she tried to remember the answer to the odd question. It took a few moments before the answer came, and a small smile graced her lips and a small giggle escaped her.

"Well after Neville had gone up to bed, Hermione turned to me and Ron and told us she was heading to bed, before either of us thought of another way of getting us killed, or worse expelled," Jasmine said, laughing as she remembered the scene, "Ron said she needed to sort out her priorities. Though she might have been right."

Jasmine giggles and laughed for several moments before she noticed one of her daughters licking her toes. She carefully reached down and picked her up. And as she raised the puppy up, small puppy became a young girl in her arms. Jasmine barely even blinked in shock, and adjusted her grip easily, having already seen this once. Jasmine brought the girl close and held the child, and lightly tickling and teasing her some before she yawned and changed back into a puppy once more.

"You really are Harry," Anna said, looking at Jasmine with a mixture of amazement and joy.

"Yeah, though maybe I am more Jasmine than Harry now," Jasmine said, not sure how she felt about that idea at the moment, still carefully cradling her sleeping daughter.

"Hedwig, I need to you to take a letter to Hermione, and Professor McGonagall as soon as I get it written up," Anna said as she got up and left the room.

Hedwig gave a soft hoot and jumped up and fluttered to the window waiting. Jasmine, her instincts now safely at the back of her mind, knew she had to return to the bed to watch her young. She was not going to get trapped as a dog anymore, but she still had a duty to her babies, her children. Returning the sleeping daughter to the bed, Jasmine changed back and curled up around her sleeping child, realizing she needed names for her three children now. Specially if they could become human like she had. Anna returned a few moments later with two letters and tied them to Hedwig's leg, before sending her off at once to Hogwarts. She then looked back at Harry and shook her head.

"Come on, time to give you a bath. You might not have noticed it, but you still smell form giving birth. Plus, we need some better clothes for you when our guests arrive. Don't even try and fight me or I will get out the spray bottle," Anna said, giving Jasmine a very pointed look.

Jasmine huffed, but did as she was told, and took not one but two baths. One as a dog, with a lot of brushing and blow drying of her fur, and a second as a human, with Anna teaching her how to correctly wash her body. That was embarrassing enough, if it was not for the additional facts that Jasmine's body was not entirely human anymore. Her tail and dog ears lingered even in her human form, though they were black rather than white in color. She also, even more worryingly now had eight breasts down her front, all a small C-cup and still slightly filled with milk for her young. Jasmine was sure other traits of her canine formed lingered, though those were the obvious ones. Well, that and begin female rather than male.

Once the shower in her human form was done, Anna found her some clothes to wear. The problem was not so much, finding something that fit, but rather something that fit without showing off too much. Jasmine was becoming extremely self-conscious of her appearance. Something she and Anna was sure would have happened if she had just been turned into a female, without the addition of her dog parts. Those combined with her extra assets turned what could have been played off as an odd quirk, to clear factors of her being not quite human anymore. At least to others.

She also had her first meal as a real human again, which became a high point of her current life. True, spaghetti and meatballs were not peak of meals, but compared to what she had been eating, and the dog food up till now. Jasmine was in heaven at having her first real meal again. By the time she had finished eating, Samual, Hermione's father had returned home and Anna was in the process of explaining everything to him.

It took a fair bit of time to explain to him what had happened, and a few demonstrations with the now clean Jasmine showing off that it was indeed true. Once he did understand it though, he gave the former boy turned female dog, a tight hug saying he was glad Harry was safe. True, this change of events was not great. But Harry could pull through given enough time and support from Hermione, his other friends, and their own families.

It was the noon the next day before not only Hermione showed up, but so did several other people along with her as well. They had gotten the letter during breakfast and had spent a little bit of time contacting everyone before they left. The Grangers in the meantime, along with Jasmine were having a discussion as to what the kids should be called, as it was quite clear that they could no longer adopt them out since they could change into a human form of their own. This was alongside the discussion if Jasmine should keep the name Jasmine till, she could become, well, Harry again.

Jasmine was still a little unsure about changing her own name. Mostly because she was not sure if she really was truly Harry or Jasmine anymore. She answered to both, and tended to think of herself as Jasmine. She was however quite happy to discussion picking names for her children. The young boy, which she could already tell would look a lot like her father James though with gray eyes was an easy enough to name. James, she had decided after a few moments of thought, and after a quick ask got permission to use Samual as his middle name. So, James Samual Potter became the first of the named trio.

The girls were a little harder, the one who had changed once already had green eyes, and the hinting of red hair in her human form. Jasmine decided to follow a similar pattern to her son's name. And named her Lily Anna Potter. The last, Jasmine decided after seeing her human form the first time and beautifully silvery gray eyes and dark black hair would be called Rose Luna Potter.

Both Samual and Anna agreed the names were great choices, before also agreeing it was time or the kids to get their first sets of baths. Like Jasmine, they needed one as both dog and human. Unlike Jasmine though, there was a small problem as none of the children understood they should not be changing form one form to the next as they got washed. Thankfully a warm shower worked well enough to wash them even as they changed between forms.

Like Jasmine, they also showed the same traits of human and dog, though James to lack his sister's additions on his front, Jasmine privately wondered if it would show up in another location as he got older. Something Jasmine filed away for a later time for when puberty hit for the three of them, which she had no doubt would be more awkward than it was already being for herself. Though, maybe not, as she very much doubted they would be unlucky enough to change gender part way through it.

They had just gotten the three laid down to rest, when the party appeared on the doorstep to the Granger's house. Anna was the one to answer the door, joined shortly by Samual. Jasmine was in Hermione's room still, keeping an eye on her children. Though for the first time rather than in her dog bed, she was in the chair Anna normally took. And she trying and failing to read one of the many books that Hermione had to pass the time. She wanted to be away from the main group, as it was going to be hard enough seeing anyone, let alone a large group at once. Jasmine thankfully could hear the group as they came into the house. Her ears able to perfectly pick up on what was being said so she would not be left out of any odd details.

"Mom! Dad! You said you found something about Harry!?" The first voice Jasmine heard was clearly Hermione.

Jasmine felt her own heart flutter some. As in the time she had spent with Hermione's parents she had formed a crush of her own on her friend. Something helped along by the fact of Hermione's own apparent crush on her, something which seemed to have not subsided during the time Jasmine had been missing.

"Yes, we do, though we were not expecting everyone," Anna said, sounding not entirely surprised at this though.

"Well…" Hermione began but was cut off by a much stiffer voice.

"When you said you had found him and needed some help. We brought both those who know him well, and those who would be the most useful to him," Professor McGonagall said, "Professor Dumbledore was the teacher of Transfiguration before me, and knows a lot more about odd magical interactions. Remus and Sirius know their way around transfiguration as well, with Sirius being master of the Animagus transfiguration, and they are Harry's closest unrelated family. Sirius being Harry's godfather. While Ron is just a friend like Hermione is."

"May we come in?" Dumbledore asked after a few moments, "It is a little awkward leaving us all on the doorstep. And none of us are dressed to stay hidden long."

"Of course, come in," Samual said, and Jasmine could hear the group now coming into the building.

Several scents reached Jasmine's nose, though they were muted compared with her dog form. Jasmine knew Hermione's scent, and guessed at the second familiar scent being Ron's. Two slightly dog like scents reached her nose, and Jasmine guessed them to be Sirius's and Lupin's scents, though the later of the two had a wilder touch to it, likely due to Remus's werewolf nature. McGonagall's was identifiable because of its cat hints, while Dumbledore's seemed to be entirely unfamiliar to her, there was a sweet and ashy scent, but pass that nothing about his scents were familiar to her.

"Just leave you wands over there on the table," Samual said, "Did you also bring Harry's wand?"

"Wands on the table?" Lupin asked, a little hesitantly.

"Just a rule my mom and dad have," Hermione said, before Jasmine heard a soft tap, before Hermione continued, "I got Harry's wand here as well. The rule is just so we are all equals. No magic or being armed when the others are not. Both to show we are not going to do anything, nor try anything by accident."

"But we never do this at my house," Ron said in a slightly confused tone.

"Yes, and all people can use a wand in your house. But if you want my dad can get a loaded rifle so we are all equal," Hermione said in a rather pointed yet suggestive fashion.

"I don't see any reason not to follow a reasonable tradition," Dumbledore said.

Jasmine heard a small thud as Dumbledore sat down his own wand. Making her wondered why it sounded so heavy, especially when her barely heard the others set down their own wands as they agreed one by one. Ron seemed to be the last, and muttered as he sat his down, clearly feeling forced to after everyone else had done so.

"So, what happened to Harry, is he okay?" Hermione asked, once Ron had stopped talking.

"Harry is okay, but we are going to introduce you slowly. Harry has had a rough time, and a large crowd might overwhelm him. He is not hurt, but he is not precisely what would be termed normal anymore," Anna explained.

"What happened to my godson?" Sirius asked in an almost demanding tone.

"Well, he followed in your footsteps from what we learned," Samual said.

"My footsteps?" Sirius said confused.

"You gave him access to the Animagus potions and transfiguration. And he learned to become one," Anna answered.

"That is extremely dangerous to do alone!" Professor McGonagall said sounding stunned, yet impressed as well.

"He was still at school when he completed his first change," Samual answered, getting a gasp from McGonagall.

"Well, he beat your record," Lupin commented, clearly aiming it at Sirius.

"I take it he used our method?" Sirius asked.

"Yes, it is why it went so fast. However, there was something odd or wrong Harry did not realize till it was too late. I want to ask first though, was there anything different about Harry as a kid, anything odd transfiguration wise? Uniquely magics or something else?" Samual explained than asked.

"No," Sirius answered, sounding a little confused, "Harry was a perfectly normal boy as wizards go. He was a little more aware than a non-magical child, but that is not odd for wizarding kind. I don't doubt your own Hermione was similar."

"Yeah, she was," Samual said, sounding almost fond at the memory before going back to the main topic, "So nothing odd to cause the initial problem. When you get a chance, you should get all his things as well. Harry said he kept careful notes while he worked his way through the process. So maybe his mistake is written down in there."

"Initial problem?" Hermione asked.

"Harry was able to become a pure white Husky for his change. However, he did not realize that the form was not what he thought. Rather than being a male dog, it was a female and she discovered this during the middle of her first heat," Anna explained, causing the room to go rather silent as she continued speaking.

"She has spent the last five months dealing not only with carrying three puppies to term, but also the beginning of raising them. Not only as puppies, but also human children. She found us not long before she had them, but could not bring her mental focus to change back till almost two weeks ago. Though it was not till yesterday she realized what stopped her from changing back to a human. The Harry Potter you know is, to a degree no more. Harry is no longer male, but female and bits of her canine form linger about. She also has begun to answer to Jasmine as well. As we named her without realizing who she was, though she will still answer to Harry."

"That… that should be impossible," Professor McGonagall said, sounding stunned, "Male to female transformation is hard enough with normal spells. Never mind having children. For that matter Animagus are unable to have children of any sort while transformed."

"Yet this is what happened," Anna said sounding tired for the first time, "Harry is still doing good, but I think that it is more because the shock has not set in yet. Or her instincts are keeping her from becoming to shocked by what happened. Either that or Harry is made a lot sterner stuff than even I thought."

"Could a little bit of all three. Harry has shown to be remarkably resilient to things in the past," Professor Dumbledore said thoughtfully.

"When can we see Harry?" Sirius asked.

"Soon, we wanted to explain what is going on. Both so Harry did not have to, and because the children are asleep. So having to explain a lot, while taking care of three kids or puppies, would not do her any favors," Anna answered, before there was a pause as she probably indicated a couple people, "Sirius, Hermione and Professor McGonagall can go first. Do Not pressure her too much if you can. Harry is not delicate or on edge, but this is odd enough without causing more problems by accident."

"Which room?" Hermione asked.

"She has been sleeping in yours," Anna said before adding, "If you need your wands to do any scans, grab yours but return it when you come back."

"Thank you," McGonagall said, as Jasmine heard the soft footfalls of people coming closer.

Jasmine sighed and braced herself for what she knew was coming. There was a knock at the door, though no one entered right away. Realizing they were giving her the choice to refuse them entry, Jasmie relaxed ever so slightly and spoke.

"Come in."

Hermione was the first in, followed by Sirius then McGonagall. Sirius and McGonagall just looked stunned at the sight of Jasmine. Thankfully it was not as bad as it could have been, as she was borrowing one of Hermione's old robes, which hid a lot from view. Still the fact was Jasmine was female, and her ears twitched was odd enough for the trio. Hermione looked torn between holding herself back, and throwing herself on Jasmine in a hug of relief.

Jasmine saved Hermione from this problem by hugging her. Hermione's scent now so clear to her, that it had an almost calming effect on her body. It was odd, but Jasmine's instincts seemed to label Hermione as her mate. Still feeling her bushy hair friend now returning the hug went a long way to calming the few nerves Jasmine still had.

"Well, this is different," Sirius said, looking at first Jasmine then to the three sleeping puppies in wonder.

"What, am I no longer the pup?" Jasmine asked, before giving him a hug as well.

"Joking at a time like this." Sirius said as Harry pulled back from him a few moments later, "You really are James's son… daughter… yeah."

"Yeah," Jasmine said, and smiled at McGonagall, "Hello Professor, sorry about not telling you about this sooner. But it was meant to be a surprise for that old dog. I was doing it in school just… well, yeah."

"That is quite understandable. And this is quite unique," McGonagall said, though she was smiling, "IT might take a while but we should be able to figure this out."

"Maybe," Jasmine said, shrugging a little bit before turning to the puppies, "It might take you a little bit to learn their names and tell them apart, but my children. Right to left, James Samual Potter the only boy and youngest. Lily Anna Potter his older sister, and the oldest is Rose Luna Potter. It makes more sense when you see them in their human form."

"They can become human?" Professor McGonagall asked seeming wanting clarification.

"Yeah, not sure if they can consciously control it yet or not. But each has changed a few times, and they look to be about two-ish when they are human," Jasmine explained, sitting down on the bed next to her sleeping kids.

Hermione sat down beside her, and placed an arm carefully around her. Jasmine leaned a little into Hermione's shoulder. Feeling that though things had clearly gone wrong, at least it was not too bad. They talked for several minutes as Jasmine went over in a little more detail about what had happened. Though she point blanket refused to go into much detail how she had got food, or been caring for her children while as a dog. As she rather pointy said.

"There are things an animal does that a human mind is not equipped to deal with. Instincts alone are how I got through what happened. Leave it at that."

As they talked, McGonagall ran several tests with her wand trying to find out what had gone wrong with Jasmine's change. The most she could say was that the tests were inconclusive. Without more information, it was impossible to determine what Harry had done wrong, assuming she had done anything wrong to begin with and this was not just fate having another go at her. Once they were done, Jasmine decided to go out with them to meet the other three.

Lupin just shook his head, and reacted rather similarly to how Sirius had. Professor Dumbledore looked mildly taken aback, but seemed to study Jasmine as if she was a unique bit of magic. Which Jasmine supposed to a degree she was. Ron on the other hand, seemed to be staring at Harry in almost open-mouthed shock and interest. And Jasmine was introduced to something she knew would happen, but had hoped to avoid. The idea of being the object of someone else's sexual desires, which unfortunately seemed to come from her longtime friend. The scent alone was enough to tell her that.

They talk was similar again to how the first one had gone, with Jasmine introducing the other three to her kids. Professor Dumbledore ran his own gambit of tests, but like Professor McGonagall, seemed to find no for sure answers. Like her, he agreed, Harry's notes on the matter might prove to be useful in why this had happened. Though he did offer a second suggestion that Professor McGonagall had not been able to. Lily, Harry's mother, had provided a protection to him as a child with her sacrifice. While it was unlikely, it was entirely possible this protection had somehow messed with Harry's own changes. It was though, in the end, only a guess and might only be a small part of what went wrong.

"Professor," Jasmine said, an hour later as she heard her pups beginning to wake up, "Right now I need to stay here. I cannot return to school like this, at least not till the kids are ready."

"I understand," Professor McGonagall said, looking thoughtful, "And the answer is rather simple. O.W.L.s do not require you to be sitting in class at Hogwarts, rather they require you to take the tests to pass them. So, if you work hard and study here. We can make arrangements for special studies outside the school. Miss Granger would be able to help you, as I doubt the time spent outside the castle will have a bad effect on her studies."

"Why not me as well?" Ron asked, sounding annoyed that he had not been offered this chance to leave the school as well.

"Unlike Miss Granger, your grades are not the best. I would be more worried about you goofing off, as you normally do rather than studying," Professor McGonagall answered sharply.

Jasmine nodded feeling hopeful, "I will do my best to get my grades up before the exams."

Hearing a whimper from the room. She changed without thinking about it, and left the room leaving the group behind as she found the puppies wide awake and demanding her attention. Jasmine quickly settled into mother mood and soon had the group of three nursing again. Hermione was the only one to peak in before she pulled the door almost close, giving Jasmine the privacy she desired. As Jasmine lay there, she could hear the others still talking in the living room.

"She really is devoted to them," Sirius commented.

"Jasmine's instincts are strong. And she has a hard time ignoring them at a times. I am not sure if she will ever be really free of them. For that matter, if Jasmine will ever truly be Harry again," Anna said, sounding both impressed but also a bit worried.

"The normal Animagus Process does keep a lot of those separated from the user. Though they are never quite gone, as it is those instincts that allows most people to learn and react correctly in their forms when first learning about them. Though most are warned about what to expect, I doubt very much Harry was expecting female heat being something she would have to deal with. It is not surprising with that kind of shock she was overwhelmed. And I cannot imagine birth was any easier on her mentally," Professor McGonagall explained.

"Quite so, as a dog Animagus myself. I learned to not listen to certain scents from females," Sirius said, shaking his head, "Though my dog side always whispers suggestions of what I should do. Thankfully I can ignore it without issue. I would offer to help Harry more, but I fear right now my form and presents in it would cause more harm than good if I were to try and teach Harry."

"You are quite right. Though we can talk about it more later," Professor McGonagall said sounding a little brisk as she spoke, "However, I think it would be best if we get going. We all have a lot to think about. And a lot to get done."

"Yes, quite," Sirius said, "I will get Harry's stuff brought over here tomorrow. I will be stopping by to keep any eye on her since she is stuck home. Human form only till she is in full control of her instincts."

"That sounds like an idea," Samual said.

"In the meantime, I will get everything set up for your daughter and Harry to study at home. Though I would like to add speaking to this group, do not let anyone else know what is really going on. There are elements at the school which would love to take advantage of this situation. So, if pressed simply say Harry and Hermione is spending a year aboard studying. That should keep a lot of questions off our back if someone asks, as it is not uncommon for it to happen, and thanks to the Triwizard tournament last year, most would not question it too much," Professor Dumbledore said, his voice becoming almost a command partway through it, "Now I must be going. Ron, my boy, why don't you come with me and Minerva can take Hermione back to the school. Come along."

Two by two, the group soon left the house. Till only Samual and Anna remained. Jasmine once she was sure the others were gone, got up and led her young to the back yard. Both to play in the freshly fallen snow, but also because she was getting a head start on house training them. Yes, she might be still thinking a lot like a dog, and could get away with more than she otherwise normally would. But even she knew better than to expect Samual or Anna being happy with one of her children having an accident in the house.

Anna smiled as Jasmine led her pups to the back door and out into the snow outside. Their reactions to the snow was amazing. Soon the kids were jumping about in the white stuff. When she finally led them back in, the four of them flopped down by the fire Samual had built up. It felt amazing and soon Jasmine was happy and content as she lay with her children. For all the problems she had had, she could at least admit this one thing. For moments like this, the entire mess was worth it.

( Espo here.

Hope you enjoyed Chapter 1 of 11. Yes this story is complete, only needing proofing on my end before i finish posting it.
This is rated T for Teen as most stuff you see here, will be stuff you would find in normal Teen stuff. I likely will be adjusting rating of my other works as i go along to better match the ratings correctly.

As you can see I used a female harry for this story. And unlike most other creators, i do not use the description that is supposed to draw you in as a warning box. You either like what I make, or you don't. And i am not going to use the teaser, to scare people off. That is how i am.

I am also going to point out something a lot of people get wrong when writing fanfiction, or otherwise forget. Including stuff from the main books, that might have been misunderstood. These points will be at the end of each chapter, some will also include points I made in the chapter. So let's jump into the points for this chapter.

Animagus forms.

Though it has not be stated in the book, and only in additional material, but the form you get is not entirely related to who you are, but what suits you best. One of the reasons people give up on their forms is because they don't want to risk finding out it is something they might not like, even if it is useful to them. In short, Ron could have a spider form, and never want to change because of this. Though this is not why i choose Harry or Jasmine's form to be a white husky. That was more because my friends pet ( a white husky ) was pregnant, and i had a brain worm to write it.

However the point still remains, that there is nothing about who you are as a person that would, for sure, point to what you would become. And if we look at the forms we do know about, only two truly fit the people their forms are matched with. Peter, and Rita. All others, in some odd way seem to conflict with what they become.

Things that can go wrong.

We never really do find out what can go wrong. Only that a lot can go wrong while LEARNING it. The only possible example we have of this is Agnes from book five. Which could be either Polyjuice Potion, or a failed Animagus transfiguration. The later of which is more likely due to Pottermore. However, that is still only a hinted example. This story is also one other possible downfalls of the change.

As though we are never told you could never change gender in the form, nothing says you wouldn't either. As for getting pregnant, it is similar question, were we have neither a yes or no to it.

Method of change.

Lastly the method. I find it a little unlikely that James, Sirius, and Peter used the method Rowling has come out with. Simply because not only would they have to somehow get all the items without being detected during fourth year. But also doing it without being detected the entire time, unless a thunderstorm literally hit the day after they finished the month long process to set everything up. Don't get me wrong, the process is not to hard, just annoying to fulfil after the mandrake leaf and the potion is set up. But unless Peter, James and Sirius and Remus were the only people in Gryffindor fourth/fifth year dorms. Someone would notice them during the process during sun up and sunset each day. Let alone when they left to complete the final part.

In short they should have been caught if they used the normal method. So it would not be entirely out of character for them to find or fix the method to either speed it up, or make it easier. As we seen with Snape and potions, doing this is possible.

But that is just my thoughts. Leave your opinions and reviews down below. Till next Week. Bye. )
