12. The oaths begin

Chapter 12 The oaths begin

25th August 1993, Diagon Alley, London

Harry, Andi, Nymfie and Padfoot are in Diagon Alley. They still have time before they can get the knife and necklace before Harry meets Hermione in the Leaky Cauldron. First, they go to the Apothecary because Andi needs to restock her ingredients and need some ingredients for the potion including those that are already brewing at home to help Sirius and Harry with the malnourishment and strengthen their body to reach their peak condition. It takes almost half an hour before they have everything they need and another 15 minutes before they can pay and leave the store.

After the Apothecary they went to Flourish and Blotts, the bookshop. Before they enter Andi says "Harry, if you want you can choose a few books. I think it is better to keep it close to your classes. I know you got the book for divination, but I suggest you keep that and read it. While the most is utter garbage, the part about Seers, the Grimm and prophecy is interesting to know as that is proven to be true... mostly."

"Occlumency is important but if you buy some keep it close to your classes as I think the current Occlumency books are enough for the coming year. If it doesn't just send me a letter we will figure something out. I do hope you send us, of course, more letters than just for that."

Padfoot barks happily which almost sounds like laughing.

Andi says "alright the Grimm isn't really proven to be true, but most people say they saw the Grimm before they died which mostly is between 24 and 72 hours after seeing the Grimm."

Harry says "I will try to send letters Andi, but I can't send too many letters as that will alert Dumbledore."

Andi says "unfortunately you are right, but once a month should be alright I guess."

Harry nods as they enter. Athena is hidden. Athena knows that she must remain hidden as otherwise, she needs to stay outside. Padfoot just lie down by the door asked by the clerk. As Padfoot is lying down when the clerk asked, the clerk 'allows' the dog although a bit reluctantly but the woman was adamant the dog stays. The clerk didn't want to make the woman mad as she is already scary without her being mad and that increased at least tenfold when she became angry when the clerk wanted the dog out of the store anyway. The clerk was keeping a close eye on the dog as he is sure he would be fired if the dog mess up the store.

Andi, Nymfie and Harry were looking when Harry finds a book about duelling by Professor Flitwick as the author. Harry is surprised when he also finds muggle books about exercises. Harry decides to buy both with his ring.

Before he reaches the clerk Andi looks at the books and with a nod steps aside meaning Andi allows the book. When Harry is done he takes a seat next to Padfoot. Harry grabs a chair from one of the tables and just sits down and starts reading the book about duelling. Inside the book, he read about spells and strategies that are used in duels. A few of those strategies are used by (wizarding) armies like if you battle two against two one attacks while the other defends, or divide to attack the other two duellers from two points and so on. There are also a few that one duellist can use if the duel fight against one or a couple of others if your partner is already defeated.

A little over half an hour later they leave the bookstore. Andi says "it is a little over 3 pm. Let's enjoy the weather while slowly making our way to Gringotts."

Padfoot barks while walking next to Harry. Andi and Nymfie walk a few feet before Harry and Padfoot.

They are walking towards Gringotts while looking at the stalls they pass. They look but buy nothing as they don't need anything and most of the stalls had barely adequate products. It would be a waste of money if you bought something from them also some of the stalls were shady or at least looks shady.

When it is 03:30 pm they walk into Gringotts. It is a bit busier than earlier this day. They need to wait almost 5 minutes before they can talk to the Master Teller. They ask for Bloodtooth again. Before the Master Teller can call for a runner to ask if Bloodtooth is available and small group of guards appear and the captain says "greetings Heir Potter, Regent Potter, Miss Tonks and Padfoot. Please follow me."

Without waiting for them to agree the captain of the guards starts to walk away to the corridor they have used before. Harry, Andi, Nymfie and Padfoot follow the guard captain immediately flanked and followed by the other guards.

25th August 1993, Bloodtooth's office, Gringotts

It takes only a couple of minutes before they stand at the same large door. However this time they don't need to leave and are immediately ushered inside. As expected Bloodtooth is sitting behind his desk clearly waiting for them. He says something in Gobbledegook. The guards bow and leave them alone.

Bloodtooth says "I should say welcome again. I have the knife and necklace with the fang right here with the gemstones in them. As requested the gemstones are not damaged. If Heir Potter want to make sure?"

Harry nod and walks towards the desk. The other follows him to take a seat. While walking to the desk Padfoot became Sirius Black again. Andi, Nymfie and Sirius that a seat while Harry first grabbed the knife. He sees again his family motto and it seems the gemstone is the same size as before. He nods.

He grabs the necklace next with shaking hands. If they damaged the gemstone there is a chance his parents' message is damaged if not removed. He places his hand on the gemstone trying to push his magic to the gemstone and says "message."

Nothing was said. A few seconds later Athena immediately appears out of his shirt and gently lays her head on his shoulder to his cheek. Harry is in tears but tries to hold it in to not show how broken he really is. It takes a couple of minutes before he manages to calm himself. He says "it is good the message is still there as is my family's motto on the blood-red diamond."

Sirius says "why don't you put the necklace on."

Harry looks back at Sirius and nods. Andi, Nymfie and Sirius see that Harry still had tears in his eyes desperately trying to not let them fall but otherwise is calm.

Harry grabs the necklace and put it on. It feels good like his parents are with him. It may sound weird but just like with the invisibility cloak he feels closer to his parents, the same as when he plays Quidditch. He just hopes sometimes soon he will find something from only his mother. He has the invisibility cloak and the love for flying having the same position as his father in the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Now he has the necklace from both his mother and father. It helps that he is a Gryffindor who likes his father and mother even if he asked the sorting hat to do so. Also, he is the Heir of Gryffindor like his father and previous Potters.

Bloodtooth asks for something out of his desk and says "as requested here is the sheath for the knife which can be disillusioned to hide it. We only need to tie the sheath to your ring Heir Potter and when you take your Lordship with the Lord ring we then need to tie the sheath with the Lord ring for you to see it."

Harry nods and says "I understand. What do I need to do to tie it to the Heir ring."

Bloodtooth grabs a dagger out of one of his desk drawers and places it on the desk. He says "Heir Potter you need to cut the palm of your wand hand and let seven drops fall on the rune that is made on the sheath. After the blood drops push your ring on the runes with the blood. Your ring and family weapon needs to be visible in the blood on the rune. Say your family motto and your name and house while keeping the ring pressed on the rune with blood. A light should connect the ring, you and the sheath. Remember Heir Potter the blood must be given voluntarily or it won't work."

Harry grabs the dagger and cuts with the dagger in his left hand his right palm. He let seven drops fall on the rune and push his ring into his blood. Bloodtooth says "the light starts now your family's motto Harry."

Harry says in confidence "vincere nati sumus."

Everybody else also sees the light from his ring. Bloodtooth says "now, I am your full name Harry and that you are the Heir of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter."

Harry says " I am Heir Harry James Potter of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter."

When Harry didn't say anything next Bloodtooth says "and also as Heir of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Black….."

Harry screams "WHAT!"

Harry is very shocked he almost removes his Heir ring from the rune with blood. He looked to Sirius.

Sirius says "I would have preferred to wait with that Account Manager Bloodtooth."

Bloodtooth says "I guess so Lord Black, but I think it will be better to not do that. As he is already Heir Black …."

Harry interrupts and says "can I not do that when I am ready for the Heir Black ring? I don't have to wear it now do I?"

Sirius put his arm on Harry's shoulder and says "no, Harry you don't have to if you don't want to. Also with Andi being your guardian even if something may happen to me, you will never return to your relatives. In a few days, I visit my Account Manager Ravensfang and make sure that even if something may happens to me and Andi, Nymfie you will still not go back to your relatives. If something happen before your OWL's I wanted to wait until I could talk to Amelia. If something happens I wanted to ask Amelia to be your guardian in the worst-case scenario."

"Harry, while you don't need to wear the Heir ring for the House of Black now but I want to warn you it may not take long for you to wear the Heir ring or that you have to. If it is needed while I am a fugitive we make an appointment with Account Manager Ravensfang or Andi will meet you at Hogwarts as House business but as we don't want Dumbledore to find out it maybe be in Hogsmeade as Dumbledore never is in Hogsmeade during the Hogsmeade trips until he has an appointment in Hogsmeade the same Saturday."

Harry nods. Sirius looks at Bloodtooth and asks "Account Manager Bloodtooth can Harry if he doesn't wear the Heir ring still call himself the Heir of House Black and also do it for other houses he has the Heirship and eventually the Lordships from without the ring, especially for those he doesn't know yet and like for House Bones he doesn't have a ring from House Bones?"

Bloodtooth thinks for a couple of minutes before he says "I think that can be done. However, to make sure only Heir Potter can handle the knife it means we need to make it a ritual that it is for his descendants and the woman he gets a bond with or at least that the Ladies have a ring from the house he also wears and he needs to feel that he like his Lady a lot and his Ladies need to feel the same or preferably real love what should result into a bond if the bond doesn't form as long as there is real love there should be no problem for the Ladies to handle the wand. As the knife need to….."

Harry interrupts Bloodtooth and almost screams "bond? What bond?"

Andi looks crossly at Sirius and asks "you didn't tell Harry about bonds between couples?"

Sirius says "not really. I didn't want to make Harry anxious. Will, it mostly happens before marriage and certainly House Potter as House Longbottom I know it happens. I don't know from other houses it mostly happens. I think many houses have at least a few in the history of the House and even know there is a couple that forms a bond but there also couple know each other really well but it didn't happen. Also, there are also couples where it would never happen like with the Malfoys. Cissy will never love that pompous arse."

Sirius still with his hand on Harry's shoulder and says "don't worry Harry with your power and love you can give and will receive it will be a miracle you wouldn't get the bond Bloodtooth mentions."

When nothing is said Bloodtooth says "like I wanted to say. The knife will know if we do the ritual also the knife will know when the Lady is controlled which will be dangerous for Harry as we bond it to his bloodlines and magic which makes the knife feel the magic of his ladies. That also means that they feel that the magic is compatible and not dangerous magic that controls it like being controlled."

"The magic wizards and witches need to be compatible or no bond will form even if the wizard and witch love each other very much even more than their own life. Magic can change to be compatible with the witch or wizard the other loves without making the witch or wizard weaker although the person which is weaker will change the magic to be compatible with the stronger one also making the magic a bit stronger but not surpassing the one with stronger magic."

"As it is to his bloodlines it also means that the knife will not be able to pierce Harry's skin although that may take time for that protection and it will only work for this knife. Other knives can hurt you. If I remember correctly when the Heir knives you wear now were made the same ritual has been used although that was centuries ago. It should help with any 'new' Heirships and Lordships you gain. Also, all of your descendants will have the same protection when they wear the knives or not."

"There is, however, one requirement for your Ladies and descendants to handle the knife beside the obvious love for him. The bond shows love but the other requirement is having a pure heart. The heart being pure is important but there are different definitions of what a pure heart is."

Sirius says "I say let's do that."

Bloodtooth nods and writes something on parchment. He waits for almost a minute when a runner appears takes the parchment and leaves immediately.

Bloodtooth says "to do a ritual, especially what is almost a blood ritual for the knife King Ragnarok need to allow it and if he wants to be able to be present. That reminds me, Harry, you can remove your ring from the blood on the rune now. It will now only show to you. If King Ragnarok allows the ritual as the sheath will be around the knife your Ladies from all your house will be able to see the sheath. It may take some time for your Ladies to see it even after the bond."

Harry nods but you can see he is very surprised about the bond. He decides to ask "Padfoot, what about that bond or are there more bonds?"

Sirius says "don't worry about it. There are multiple bonds. What I gather from Bloodtooth is that it will work for most bonds, right Bloodtooth?"

Bloodtooth says "yes, as long as the bond has love in its core and is one of your Ladies."

Harry asks "like Susan also I am not a Bones?"

Bloodtooth nods and says "if she really loves you and you have the Bones ring when it accepts you it should. Susan when she becomes Lady Bones must use magic to make the Lord ring accept her as Lord Bones, but that is just easier than this also that can wait. She can also as Heiress Bones if there is an Heir ring almost the same way as with the Lord ring make you wear the Heir ring. She must have her own ring otherwise it will not work. It means she must wear the Heiress ring for the Heir ring or the Lady ring for the Lord ring. When she does it for the Heir ring it should not be needed when she gets to wear the Lady ring for the Lord ring."

Harry nods and everyone sees that he starts to think.

After a couple of minutes, Nymfie gently asks "what do you think about Harry?"

Harry looks straight in her eyes. Nymfie see Harry's eyes shine a bit when he says "what if I don't manage to love them or get a bond?"

Nymfie immediately hugs his right arm after almost shoving Sirius aside to the ground. Sirius saw it happening and manage to get out of Nymfie's way.

Nymfie says "Harry, you will. I am sure of it."

Harry asks "but what if I can't maybe we shouldn't do the ritual."

Bloodtooth decides to speak up and says "Harry if you don't manage to bond it doesn't matter. If you don't bond the ritual will not hurt you and the knife will go to your descendants with everything they do for you. There is one thing I want to manage. If you make one of your Ladies pregnant no matter if it is your lady at the time or not. If you didn't want to make her pregnant and you didn't want the child especially when it is born the knife will not accept the child even if it is your child and therefore is from your bloodline. The same is when someone uses your blood in any capacity and you didn't allow it like when forcible some is taken for something that means the knife will not accept that person."

Before Harry can respond the door to the side opens and a large group of guards enter the office. Andi, Sirius, Nymfie and Harry are not surprised especially when King Ragnarok walks in. They immediately stand up.

When Ragnarok takes a seat they give a small bow before taking their seat again.

King Ragnarok says "Heir Potter, I got a message for a ritual to take you to like to take as your Godfather let you know you are Heir Black but don't want to wear the ring or at least doesn't wear it at this time and probably will not as long as possible. Also that your Godfather mentioned that there will probably be other Heirship and Lordships you don't know of yet and therefore also not wear the Heir ring yet. Is that correct?"

Harry nods say "yes, King Ragnarok."

Ragnarok looks at Bloodtooth and he also nods. King Ragnarok asks "and it is about the knife made of a basilisk fang?"

Harry again agrees. Bloodtooth also does.

Ragnarok says "then I will allow it. We don't want anyone else to have access to the knife unless your wives and descendants especially as there is still poison in the knife. Now we better start as the ritual will take about 15 minutes to be completed and it's already a few minutes past half-past three."

Everybody except the guards' nods. Ragnarok gestures and the door opens when one old looking goblin walks in. He wears armour with a lot of runes if Harry must believe his new Study of Ancient Runes book although he didn't know any of them although quite a few look familiar and close to the runes he had already read about in the book. A couple of others look familiar although he has never seen them before and didn't look like any of the ones he had already read about.

Ragnarok says something in Gobbledegook and when Ragnarok stops the goblin nods. The goblin looks at Harry. The goblin says "greetings Heir Potter, may your loved one be protected. I am Runes Master Adamantink"

Harry says "may you precious ones be protected Runes Master Adamantink."

Adamantink nods. He says "as I understand from King Ragnarok a ritual is required. King Ragnarok has explained to me what is requested. I am ready to start the ritual but I must first know if you really want to do it Heir Potter as I need blood from you. It is also important that it is voluntarily and that you want to. If the ritual works if you have enough magic at this time then in the future as long as you are not controlled or threatened you can expand the family for which the knife should work and therefore the Ladies and children. I do want to advise you that you will not give it to one of your descendants as that will sever the connection to the other houses make the ritual unstable and may even destroy the knife. It can also hurt the connection between the houses you are Lord from which will hurt your descendants and may even spike jealousy between your descendants and houses."

Out of nowhere Adamantink grabs a dagger out of his armour. He hands the dagger to Harry. Adamantink says "Heir Potter cut the palm of your right hand and make sure your Heir ring is visible."

Harry looks at his right hand and sees that cut has been closed and doesn't even see any sign there was cut less than 30 minutes ago. Harry makes sure the Heir ring is visible.

He cut his palm. Adamantink says "now Heir Potter, drop seven drops of blood on the blade of the knife. Put the sheath on the knife and then make sure the cut is still open and drops seven drops on the sheath. After you have done that make sure the cut remains open and bleeding then grab the handle while keeping the sheath around the blade."

"When you are ready grab the handle and say, I, Harry James Potter, by my blood and magic bind the knife called. Oh that is right if you haven't thought about it you need to name the knife, but beware when you have given the knife a name, the knife's name will appear somewhere on the knife, sheath or handle."

Harry nods. He is lucky he hasn't cut the palm of his hand yet and starts to think about a name for the knife. He starts to think about something with Athena, however, it could reveal Athena is actually the Basilisk. He trusts Sirius, Andi and Nymfie but even they would probably question him and leave him while considering him dark or worse evil like Voldemort if not worse.

Athena sis §Master, is something wrong?§

Harry automatically sis back §no Athena, but they want me to give the knife made out of your fang a name as that would help that it can't be used against me and hopefully my friends.§

If Athena could smile Harry would be sure she did when Athena sis §and mate with red hair.§

Harry groans. Andi, Nymfie and Sirius wonder what Athena said to Harry but decide to not ask.

Harry sis §can we just think about a name and not mention Susan.§

Athena nods and sis §as you want Master, What about ….. my wrath.§

Harry asks §your wrath?§

Athena nods and sis §yes Master, but then Athena's wrath?§

Harry asks §why? And wouldn't that be too dangerous as they can suspect you are the Basilisk? I want to tell them eventually but now it is too soon.§

Athena sis §I understand Master. Master, I may have an idea to explain it, if Master wants to.§

Harry nods.

Athena sis §as it is my fang, with you as my Master, the knife will only hurt those that attack you, your friends and mates. If you call it Athena's wrath you can say that it will be like I protected Master. Master can even say it isn't my fang but is from the king of the snakes §

Harry thinks for a couple of seconds before he nods. Harry sis §I think that is a good reason. Let's see what they think.§

Harry says "I think I call it Athena's wrath."

Andi notice and asks "can explain Harry as it sounds like Athena is the Basilisk or at least some part of the Basilisk?"

Harry becomes anxious but tries his Occlumency to prevent the others from noticing. Harry thinks Andi see what he does but before he thinks Andi can say something he says "sure."

"It is a snake fang and as it cannot hurt me according to Runes Master Adamantink and Account Manager Bloodtooth and nobody else can use it. I may also be able to protect my friends with the knife. As Athena is my snake, she thinks it seems like she protected me even if it isn't her fang but is from the king of the snakes."

Harry sees that Andi accepts his explanation but isn't convinced that it is the only reason.

Adamantink says "I see that is an interesting name and reason, but I quite understand. The snake must really like you as she wants to protect you and offer to give the knife her name."

"Anyway then as I said I, Harry James Potter, by my blood and magic bind the knife Athena's wrath to me, Harry James Potter. May magic proves that it is my voluntarily will to bond Athena's wrath to me, my blood and my magic."

"If the magic accepts a light should appear after the light dies down you continue with as magic accepts it by the life force of my blood and the force of my magic let it forever flourish, let future connects be made and let my magic connects them. So I say so let it be."

Runes Master Adamantink asks "Heir Potter are you ready?"

Harry nods and grabs the dagger. Harry put the sheath beside the knife and cuts his palm. He let seven drops on the knife and with his left-hand sheath the knife. Harry looks at his right hand and deeps the cut. Again Harry let seven drops of blood fall on the sheath.

Meanwhile, Harry says "I, Harry James Potter, by my blood and magic bind the knife Athena's wrath to me, Harry James Potter. May magic proves that it is my voluntarily will to bond Athena's wrath to me, my blood and my magic."

Harry grabs the handle and after not more than a second, a big light starts to shine. It takes almost two minutes before the light start to stop glowing slowly. It takes almost three minutes before the light is gone. Harry doesn't notice that everyone is looking shocked

Harry says confidently "as magic accepts it by the life force of my blood and the force of my magic let it forever flourish, let future connections be made and let my magic connects them. So I say let it be."

When Harry is done one large flash of light appears that almost dies down immediately. Harry immediately falls back in his chair and feels a bit tired and extremely hungry.

Sirius has a big smile. Nymfie tries to control her changing hair. Andi and the goblins had lost their indifference but quickly put their mask back on before Harry noticed.

Adamantink says "excellent Heir Potter. Here is the phrase you need to do to connect Houses to the knife. I suggest you can use it now for House Potter if you don't feel too tired."

Harry stands up. He is a bit tired but as the knife has the blood-red diamond with his family's motto he wants to do it immediately.

Harry says "I want to do it now."

Andi asks "are you sure Harry dear?"

Harry says "yes, I know it is a bond to me, but it has the diamond from my family. I want to bond it to House Potter and let's do House Black as I am doing it anyway."

Adamantink says "that is a good idea if you are not too tired, but you need to wear the ring to connect House Black to the knife. It will also be easier and may require less power to do so with the Heir ring if magic accepted it."

Sirius says "magic did Runes Master Adamantink. Harry, Pup you don't have to wear the ring yet."

Harry asks "it can be disillusioned, right?"

Sirius nods. Harry put his head in his palm and give a deep sigh.

Harry says "fine I will wear it. As you said Padfoot it will not take long before I need to wear it anyway. Can you at least tell me why?"

Sirius says "sorry Pup, I can't I need to talk to some people before I can. I can promise you that when the time is right and I have talked with the people that I need to I will let you know if I think you need to tell some people you wear it. Also probably the ones that need to know will know it. I think Professor McGonagall can help in that regard especially if Dumbledore finds out and try to 'convince' you to not wear the Heir ring although let's hope he doesn't know about the Heir Black ring."

King Ragnarok says "Lord Black, even Dumbledore shouldn't be able to look through the disillusionment charm that most of the especially older houses have."

Sirius nods and says "of course King Ragnarok I don't mean anything by it."

King Ragnarok nods meaning he accepts it. King Ragnarok say something in Gobbledegook and one of the guards opens the door and another Goblin steps in. Instead of walking in King Ragnarok says something and the Goblin immediately leaves.

Adamantink says "Heir Potter, I suppose we can bond House Potter right now."

Harry nods. Adamantink says "alright, this is what you need to say."

"By the power of my magic. I, Heir Harry James Potter hereby declare House Potter by my blood, voluntarily given, that the knife called Athena's wrath will add to the protection of House Potter and its members. So the Heir says, so will it be by the will of Mother Magic."

"If it is for House Black you need to alter the oath a little bit. You need to alter House Potter by my blood to House Black by my godfather's will, my blood and then you need to name the relative that gives you the ability to do so. You need to show the Heir Potter ring for House Potter and the Heir Black ring for House Black. It should be wise when you do it for House Potter you will be Heir Harry James Potter-Black to make sure."

"Before you should do the oath, if you do it for a House you don't have blood from but marry the Heiress you should change House Potter to the House you marry the Heiress from and change by my blood in by marriage with and then the Heiress full name, you can still say you marry voluntarily or that you want to marry the Heiress. If I remember your ministry still has that law for last Heirs like yourself Heir Potter. I would advise using the name Potter-Black and if you have more add them in the way you bond them to the knives or in the way of bloodlines."

"So if you have blood from more houses they should go after Potter but before Black and when there is no blood you can start with the House with the most history followed by the most wealthy although History is always before wealth or like I said before in the way you gain the house as long as you are married to the primary Heiress and you will become the Lord of that House or Lord Regent when you reach your majority and the Heiress becomes Lady of her house otherwise you don't need or can't use the name."

"Heir Potter please make sure your ring is visible and please start the oath. As your blood is still on the knife you don't need to give more blood as when you say the oath your blood will bind it. If you bind houses you don't have blood from it may be a good idea to leave the Heiress voluntarily giving blood and as do you at the same time before doing the oath when you bind those House or Houses to the knife. However, if the Heiress also gives blood then you should also use her full name in the oath after your own before naming the house."

Harry nods. He focuses to make sure the ring is visible.

Harry says "by the power of my magic. I, Heir Harry James Potter, hereby declare House Potter by my blood, voluntarily given, that the knife called Athena's wrath will add to the protection of House Potter and its members. So the Heir says, so will it be by the will of Mother Magic."

"Vincere nati sumus. Born to conquer."

The Heir ring lights up. The light goes from his ring to the knife before going to his heart where it dies down.

Adamantink says "magic accepts it, Heir Potter."

Before anything else can say the door opens and in walks Ravensfang. Ravensfang says "King Ragnarok, you asked for my presence."

Ragnarok nods and says "indeed. Do you got the box?"

Ravensfang says "yes King Ragnarok. The runner told me to get the box with the House of Black rings."

Ravensfang sees Sirius and says "may you gold always flow Lord Black."

Sirius says "and your coffers always be full Account Manager Ravensfang."

Ravensfang nod and asks "what can I do for your Lord Black if King Ragnarok allows it?"

Ragnarok nods meaning he allows it. Sirius sees and says "Account Manager Ravensfang it is time my Heir Harry James Potter-Black get his Heir ring of House Black."

Ravensfang nods and says "of course, Lord Black. Here is the box I guess you want to hand it to Heir Potter-Black personally?"

Sirius nods and stands up. He grabs the box. He feels the slash but Sirius expected it, He opens the box and grabs the Heir ring before placing the box on the desk.

Sirius looks at Harry and says "Harry, I always hoped to do this on my Heir and as I have no children I am happy I can do it on my own godson. Give me your right hand."

Harry also stands up with a large smile. Harry holds out his right hand. Sirius changes his stance to one of full confidence as Lord Black. Sirius grabs his hand and says "I, Sirius Orion Black the third, Lord Black give you the ring of Heir Black. Hereby I make you my Heir and the Heir for House Black. Do you understand and accept?"

Harry says "yes Lord Black I understand and accept your offer."

Sirius put the ring on his ring finger and says "then from now on you are Heir Harry James Potter Black, Heir of House Potter firstly and Heir of House Black secondly. You will be known as Harry James Potter and only use Black when you act as Heir Black. I know you will bring power and prosperity to both houses."

Sirius relaxes. He sees Harry's desire and gives him a hug which Harry happily returns.

After the hug Sirius says "Harry, you can better connect the knife to House Black as it is nearing 4 pm and we don't want your best friend to wait and worry."

Harry nods. He sees the Heir Potter and Heir Black ring merge and asks surprised "Padfoot what is happening?"

Sirius sees what Harry means and says "it is alright Pup. When you have more than one house like you what in the medieval age wasn't that uncommon through wars, assignation and things like that. To make sure you don't have too many rings, rings can merge to show both houses and when you get more the rings for other houses they all change the merges ring to look different and also show the new ring."

"If you need a certain ring to think about it and focus the ring you need will appear and the merge ring will disappear for a moment. When you need like when you do the oath all the rings separately you need to think and focus to show all the rings. When your finger is easily said full any additional ring will be placed on your middle finger. But will still merge with the ring on your ring finger. The merge ring can also be disillusioned. There is a change a second merge ring will appear if the ring becomes too much to show in the merge ring. Which ring is in the merge ring depends on in which order you gain them."

Harry nods and says "I think I understand.

Harry tries to process it by using Occlumency when he asks "Padfoot, what is House Black's motto in French?"

Sirius says "of course, you need to know. House Black's motto is Toujours Pur and it means Always Pure. Don't forget that you get the House Black through me, your grandmother Dorea Black and your blood. You need to say that I guess as I am Lord Black at the moment and for House Potter, there is no Lord only Regent."

Adamantink says "very wise, Lord Black. It is indeed so that what you said is correct. I was wondering if Heir Potter would come to it on its own. If he did not I would inform him as soon as he would get the ring of a House with a Lord no matter if it has his blood or by marriage or if we were informed Heir Potter bond to a girl as I would ask Account Manager Bloodtooth to inform me."

King Ragnarok looks mad and says "Runes Master Adamantink, I will allow it this time as no harm is done but next time I will not accept this excuse."

Adamantink turns to Ragnarok with fear and says "I apologize King Ragnarok. I assure you that I did not mean anything with it. I was just wondering if Heir Potter would figure out what Lord Black did."

"Please King Ragnarok also accept my deepest apology for the following. Heir Potter if you have a house by the blood that your father didn't claim you can use the oath but before mentioning your blood you must say by my ancestors and my blood. If you use your full name all the rings from the name you use should be visible to make sure it works and also works the connection of the knife between houses."

"Also King Ragnarok if Heir Potter did it before I could inform him the oath will not hurt Heir Potter or his mate. The oath would just not work. As I am not an Account Manager of House Potter and therefore do not know about any marriage contract that is active and valid or already been completed if not consummated I would ask Account Manager Bloodtooth to mention if any house that came for the Heir ring that doesn't have a male heir Account Manager get notified of that I would immediately inform Heir Potter and his guardian, Regent Potter, to make sure I could be present when he gets the ring to inform and if needed guide Heir Potter than."

King Ragnarok says "I will again allow this, this time. Not causing harm does not mean Heir Potter or his mate will not be hurt. Harm can come in many forms and shapes. I hope this is all Runes Master Adamantink."

Adamantink thinks for a moment and says "yes King Ragnarok but I do want to remember Heir Potter that he should use his full name when he does the new houses and that he should use his magic and make sure the knife is completely covered in his blood while also connecting the sheath the knife should be like now, in its sheath with blood inside the sheath. Also that this should be able to do with other weapons made from metal. I would advise not to do it to the knives on the belt Heir Potter wears as they have been made for Potters and not to connect to other houses as the belt is also the Heir Potter belt."

King Ragnarok nods and says "Runes Master Adamantink your advice shall be followed and is very much appreciated. Let's see if Heir Potter can bind for House Black. If it succeeds you may go and tell the head of your clan that despite some actions of you, you did gather honour for your clan but could have gained more. If your head wants to punish you he must come to me first to discuss your punishment to make sure it is fair and not too severe."

Harry says "sorry to interrupt King Ragnarok, but I don't think Runes Master Adamantink should be punished as I understand that not all should be told when it is requested. I mean I am young and this is much knowledge I may have trouble remembering."

King Ragnarok says "thank you for your thought Heir Potter but this is not your decision. And to make sure you will remember. Runes Master Adamantink write down everything about the oaths all of them including the one Account Manager Bloodtooth does and make sure Heir Potter can disillusion the text and can make it appear."

Adamantink nods and says "at once King Ragnarok."

Adamantink says "Heir Potter, please do the oath will I write down what I have said so when the time comes for a binding a new house you can read what should be said."

Harry nods. He closes his eyes to focus and make both the Heir rings visible. Harry opens his eyes and sees both rings. The Heir Potter ring with a red/white gemstone while the Heir Black ring has a beautiful black gemstone.

Harry asks "Andi can you tell me which gemstone these are?"

Andi says "sure dear. The Heir Potter ring has a proustite crystal as a gemstone. The Heir Black ring has an expensive Black Opal. See how the Black Opal shines? That is what makes it expensive. If you look closely just like the Heir Potter ring you see the family weapon and family motto the only difference is this is engraved and the Heir Potter ring is not engraved still visible in the ring right Harry? The reason is that proustite crystal is not strong enough to engrave things in but is very expensive."

Harry nods. He didn't say it before but when he looks at his Heir ring he sees his family motto and weapon. His family weapon he remembers from the family vaults door.

King Ragnarok says "Heir Potter, the proustite crystal you have in the Heir ring is one of the first-ever found proustite crystals in Wales. And the only place where you can find them is Eastern Wales. Now Heir Potter if you don't mind let do the oath as time is money and as I understand you have also places to be."

Harry says "you are right King Ragnarok. I do apologize."

Ragnarok says "that is no problem but let us not delay any longer."

Harry nods and looks at his right hand to make sure both rings are visible.

Harry says "By the power of my magic. I, Heir Harry James Potter Black hereby declare House Black by my godfather, my grandmother Dorea Potter née Black and my blood, voluntarily given, that the knife called Athena's wrath will add to the protection of House Black and its members. So the Heir says, so will it be by the will of Mother Magic."

"Toujours Pur. Always Pure."

Just like with the connecting House Potter to Athena's wrath the Heir ring lights up. The light goes from his ring to the knife before going to his heart where it dies down.

Adamantink says "magic accepts it Heir Potter-Black. As ordered by King Ragnarok here I have the oath and all variations for different houses I could think of. From Houses by blood to Houses by marriage. I have even remembered how to allow Allies to use the knife without it being dangerous if they turn on you, family members or one of your Houses."

Harry is feeling more tired and very hungry. He is happy that he will soon have an early dinner with Hermione and her parents.

Harry says "thank you, Account Manager Adamantink."

Ragnarok says "then our meeting is concluded. Runes Master Adamantink I invoke your oath that this is a secret and cannot be spoken to anyone outside of this room. If you do you know you will die and your clan will lose its entire honour, never to regain it again. Your clan's name will be a forbidden word and your clan will be shunned meaning it will die out soon as no clan will be associated with your clan."

Adamantink knows why Ragnarok explains it. Ragnarok says it so Harry, Sirius, Andi and Nymfie know what will happen if Adamantink will tell anyone out of this house. Harry, Sirius, Andi and Nymfie do not question the guards, Ravensfang and Bloodtooth as they will not tell anyone as they are Account Managers and the guards are clearly the royal guards as you compare them to the normal guards these wear much better, stronger and better-looking armour.

Adamantink says "of course King Ragnarok."

Ragnarok does not comment on Adamantink as he says "Lord Black, Madam Tonks and Miss Tonks is has been an interesting time since look after Heir Potter. I am sure with your guidance and feelings for Heir Potter he will rise to great heights and maybe change the wizarding society for the better. We will be watching all of you. May your gold flow freely."

Harry stands up and says "may your enemies feel only pain and steel with your enemies gold filling your coffers."

Sirius says "may your vault always be full."

Andi and Nymfie don't say anything and just bow their head. Especially for Nymfie, it is difficult but it is normal in the wizarding society that the men conclude the meeting with one of the phrases or in this case both as both had a large thing to add.

Harry grabs the sheath and the necklace. He put the necklace inside of his shirt which is a bit difficult as this isn't Dudley's large shirt.

They are escorted by a couple of guards to the main hall and outside. Right before they enter the main hall Sirius change into Padfoot again.

25th August 1993, Diagon Alley, London

They stop outside a little to the side so they don't block the large entrance of Gringotts. Andi, Nymfie and Padfoot still see Harry holding the knife.

Nymfie says "Harry, you can better put the knife somewhere."

Harry says "I know but I don't know where to place it and with the Heir Potter belt I think I am armed very much with three knives and my wand. Isn't that too much? Also shouldn't you be able to see it?"

Andi says "Harry, I don't think it is too much as the mutt should be after you to hurt you. We know as do Professor McGonagall and Amelia and Susan Bones. It is true they don't know about the knives although it may be a good idea to tell Professor McGonagall and Susan too as Susan is your future wife. Also, nobody else should be able to see that knife and if I understand correctly the same is for the Heir Potter belt with those knives as long as the knives including Athena's wrath are in the sheath."

Nobody else besides those that you tell or you allow to know about knives will know and therefore will not think you carry too many knives or protection. Some may even think you wear too less as they don't know about the knives. I do want to advise you to tell Susan and Professor McGonagall about the knives and maybe ask Susan to let Amelia know."

"And why will see it, I don't know. Maybe you need to attach it to you or maybe as we are family although as I was disowned as is Dora as my daughter we should not. Or maybe we can see as I am currently your official guardian and Dora is my daughter and therefore able to see it. I guess Padfoot see it's too?"

Padfoot barks as he sees the knife.

Harry says "but Padfoot see it as he is well you know…."

Harry looks around and whispers when he sees nobody is close by "Lord Black and I also bound it to House Black."

Nymfie asks "do you know where you wane wear Athena's wrath?"

Harry says "well I thought maybe around my left ankle or maybe above it around my left shinbone and calf as I use my right hand for my wand. I thought maybe it is smart that I have my other hand free for Athena's wrath or the doe that is one of the Heir Potter knives if I need to use a knife for some reason."

Andi says "that is a good idea, Harry. Otherwise, I thought about your right underarm but your left ankle might be a better idea at the moment. It will also be better so when you greet an Ally like Heir Longbottom and you offer the Ally greeting he will otherwise feel you wear something that is disillusioned. If you don't want to tell him it can give problems although I don't think it will dissolve the alliance between the Houses it can, however, bring the spark of distrust that could become a big problem in the future."

Suddenly Padfoot starts to bark loudly. They look at Padfoot. Padfoot looks at his pawn and starts tapping the ground. They don't know what he means when he starts to move his pawn. It takes almost a minute before they notice Padfoot means that they need to watch the time.

Andi cast and sees it is 3:58 pm. Andi says "we need to hurry. Harry fasten the sheath with Athena's wrath on your left ankle or your left shinbone and calf as you suggested."

Harry tries and doesn't work. He tries again but again falls. He thinks for a little bit and the third time he manages to place it a bit above his ankle. He place it on his left shinbone and calf. The bottom of the sheath is about an inch above his ankle. In this way, he can easily move his feet without Athena's wrath hindering his movement.

He places and asks "I think we need to hurry."

Andi, Nymfie and Padfoot nod. They start moving to the Leaky Cauldron. It takes a few minutes when they reach the Leaky Cauldron as it is quite busy in Diagon Alley. Right before they enter Andi holds Harry's shoulder and prevent him from entering.

Harry asks "is something wrong, Andi?"

Andi smiles and says "no, Harry. I just want to give you a big hug before you go inside."

As Andi says it she gives Harry a bit hug. After Andi Nymfie immediately gives Harry an even bigger hug. Nymfie holds on for more than a minute and eventually, Andi and Padfoot need to force her off Harry or she would have held on for a very long time. Padfoot jumps against Harry, forcing him to the ground and starts licking his face. After a small minute, he stops mostly by Andi shooting something at Padfoot. Nymfie helps Harry up while Andi glares at Padfoot.

Andi drops the glare and looks at Harry. She says "Harry two more things. Firstly I am still making the potion you need. It will be done before school. I will deliver it unless something comes up otherwise Dora will bring it to you. I will make sure you have enough potions for the coming time and will make sure you know when you need to take them. I will write that down. I do ask do you feel hungry right now?"

Harry nods and says "yes, but I don't know why? I eat more than I normally do."

Andi says "that is good. It is a side-effect of the potion. The potion uses food together with magic to work. As you have magic, I don't have to add a difficult ingredient for when you use it on squibs or muggles as there is a difficult and expensive ingredient that can hold magic although there are multiple ingredients that can hold magic for this potion, I needed a specific ingredient if you didn't have magic."

"Anyway, you may feel your magic working with food and the potion. It may make your magic a bit unstable for some time, it is not dangerous but anything you cast may be a bit too powerful or does something unintentionally. I don't advise casting but as Hogwarts start soon, don't cast at other people or actually any living creature as it may hurt them a lot until you can get your magic under control again. I do want to warn you that in rare cases when this potion is used which isn't much, the magic power increases of the user. It may take a bit of time to get used if your magic power increases and it may only be temporary or not."

"That you are hungry is a good sign. I was afraid when you weren't before. I think the Basilisk venom inside of you delayed the working of the potion a bit. Here I have another potion. You need to take it tomorrow morning before breakfast. Also, you may get hungry at night which wakes you up. If you are very hungry tomorrow morning before breakfast then take the potion before lunch. Make sure you eat a lot during breakfast, lunch and dinner if you are hungry make sure you eat a snack or something. Why not go to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour for ice or a big sandwich."

Padfoot barks again. Andi says "I know the time Padfoot."

Andi looks at Harry and says "I hope next year we don't need to do this. One more thing I forgot to teach you about etiquette. It is etiquette to always acknowledge the oldest man first then the female of that male after that the Heirs and then the Heiress even if the Heiress is the oldest the same if the female is older than the male, the male is always first. Do you understand?"

Harry nods with a simple smile.

Andi says "great then now is your time to go inside. Dora, the mutt and I will come in a few minutes after yours, but don't forget we don't know each other. You can look at us but don't stare."

Harry says "I understand Andi. I also hope next summer we can stay together the whole summer and we will be a real family."

Nymfie can't control herself and hugs Harry again. This time she holds on for only a minute. Andi cast Tempus again and the time is 4:04 PM.

Harry says "Oh bloody hell, Hermione is not going to like this."

Before Andi can scold him for his language, Harry walks into the Leaky Cauldron immediately. Before he is getting out of sight he gives a small wave with a million Galleon smile.

25th August 1993, Leaky Cauldron, London

Harry walks inside and looks around. He doesn't see Hermione and wonders where she is. He is almost at a table to see the entrance from the muggle side when he gets hit by a bushy Harry seeking missile he didn't even notice just when he want to turn around when he heard "Harry".

Athena doesn't know what to do. She hurt her Master but she doesn't hurt him as soon she grabs him. Athena is still hidden coiled around her Master's left arm. She hears her Master sis §Athena, you can go to my left leg?§

Athena doesn't know why but as her Master asks she does what he wants. Athena sis a short yes and tries to go to his leg without showing herself. Athena manages and Athena immediately sees why her Master asked that of her.

Harry says "hey Hermione. I am happy to see you too."

As he greets her he gives her a small hug before asking "can you let me up?"

Harry is surprised when Hermione shakes her head and says "Harry, I was so scared and worried about you. You are late and Sirius Black has escaped. I was afraid he managed to get to you. He was the right-hand man from You-Know-Who."

Harry hears a female noise saying "Hermione, why don't you let Harry up? I am sure he can tell why is late. It is only a few minutes."

Hermione reluctantly gets off Harry and when she sees that she was basically straddling Harry she is heavily blushing. Hermione extends her help to Harry up. Harry sees that Hermione has tears in her eyes.

Harry says "look Hermione I am alright. I just forgot the time a bit. I am sorry."

Hermione gives a smile and says "I don't care you are late I am just happy you are alright?"

"How or why do your relatives let you stay here?"

Harry says "why don't we go to have dinner before I tell you?"

Hermione says "sure. I asked for a private room for dinner. Let's ask for the private room I requested before I introduce you to my parents."

Before Harry can respond Hermione grabs his wrist and drag him to the bar where Tom is. Harry almost falls when she drags him along.

Hermione gets Tom's attention and that she has requested a private room for dinner. Tom asks her name but when he looks and sees Harry Potter behind her, he immediately knows her as Andi with Harry has told him before about Miss Granger.

When Hermione says her name Tom says "follow me."

Hermione's parents follow Harry and Hermione who follow Tom to one of the private rooms. They enter a door and Tom says "can I start with some drinks?"

Hermione says "yes, that would be great. Mom, Daddy what do you want?"

Her parents ask both for tea. Tom says "alright. Miss Granger is I may make a recommendation?"

Hermione nods. She is curious.

Toms smiles and says "you and the young man beside you may like a butterbeer. It looks like you are old enough to go to Hogsmeade and the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade is where many students go for lunch and drink butterbeer throughout the day. It is allowed for underage wizards and witches to drink. The Three Broomsticks is known for its butterbeer. Actually, we buy our butterbeer from the Three Broomsticks."

Hermione says "I think, I would like that. What do you think Harry?"

Harry says "sure, I want to try it."

Tom says "alright, I will get it. I will get your order and when I return you can order your dinner."

They all nod.

Hermione says "Harry let me introduce you to my parents."

Hermione says "this is my father doctor Daniel Granger and my mother doctor Emma Granger."

Harry walks toward Hermione's father and says "it is a pleasure to meet you, Doctor Granger. I am Heir Harry James Potter of House Potter."

Daniel recognizes it as a formal greeting and says "I couldn't wait to meet you, Heir Potter. You call me Dan or Mr. Granger what you prefer."

Harry says "thank you Mr. Granger. You can call me Harry."

Harry and Mr. Granger shake hands. Harry looks behind and sees that Hermione is surprised and maybe even a bit shocked. Also, Hermione looks very curious.

Harry turns back to Hermione's mother. She grabs her hand and kisses her hand like he was taught by Andi and Sirius. He says "Doctor Granger it is a pleasure to meet you. Like I said I am Heir Harry James Potter of House Potter."

Emma decides to follow her husband's example and says "well met Heir Potter. You may call me Emma or Mrs. Granger if you prefer."

Harry says "very well Mrs. Granger you can call me Harry."

Emma smiles and nods.

Harry turns to Hermione. Hermione wants to ask him any questions, especially about why he did greet her parents like that, why he didn't do it to her but more importantly where or how he learned that.

Harry holds his hand up to stop her. He grabs her hand and kisses her hand. Harry says "it is good to see you again Miss Granger, you look good today. I am Heir Harry James Potter of House Potter."

Harry wants to say she looks beautiful today, but he is already betrothed to Susan and she as a muggleborn will probably just like him and has trouble accepting he can have more wives not that he thinks she will be one of his wives. She is too good of a friend, his best friend to endanger that by thinking she can be one of his wives. He will not tell her she is beautiful as it looks and feels like he cheats on Susan and any girls that can be his wife for House Potter and House Black, as he is Heir Black apparently, he wants Susan to agree on. He needs Susan to agree to any girl that may become one of his wives. Harry doesn't know about House Gryffindor but he probably needs a wife for that too, but as long as he doesn't wear the Heir ring he hopes he can postpone that a bit for as long as possible until he fully accepts the multiple wives and if he finds wives beside Susan of course. Also wonders if he even can get enough wives for House Potter, House Gryffindor and if needed house Black.

Harry knows that as she is muggleborn as long as she is underage House Granger doesn't exist. Also, the only reason House Granger will exist is when she marries a wizard and he takes her name. There is another way if the wizard doesn't take her name and that is if the second son takes to get her name or gets two surnames with first the wizard and then her maiden name, but the House will not be created until her second son reaches his 17 Birthday and officially create the house with Gringotts who will notify the ministry of magic. It will make the surnames of the son switch with first her maiden name and then the wizard's name if the wizard allows it and doesn't mind it his name to be one the second place.

Hermione says "thank you Heir Potter it is very good to see you again too. You may call me Hermione."

Harry smiles and says "alright Hermione. You may call me Harry and I hope you don't mind me saying you look really good after your vacation in France, especially your tan. It looks really good on you."

Hermione blushes a bit and says "thank you, Harry. I must say you look better too. I was surprised your relatives let you go."

Harry wanted to wait to tell her until after dinner. He could lie to her but he doesn't want to especially as he will no doubt lie to her more than once this year or at least not tell the whole truth.

Harry says "well actually they didn't. At least not completely they are probably happy I am gone but I needed to leave. My Uncle's sister that I needed to call Aunt came to visit and she doesn't like me one bit. I don't care about that, but she went too far when she disrespected my parents."

Hermione gasps.

Harry continues and says "the first were about the same Snape does or Malfoy, but they got worse rapidly. Finally, two evenings before she would leave she went on and on about it. I lost my temper and I accidentally inflated her. I didn't mean to but I will not say I am sorry it happened. I didn't even use my wand so it was probably accidental magic."

Hermione immediately gives Harry and hug. She says "are you in trouble?"

Harry says "no. I didn't get any notification about the accidental magic as happened with Dobby. I did talk with the director of the DMLE who wanted to know what has happened. She sends me a letter about that they found her in Sheffield circling around a chimney."

Harry can't suppress his smile. Hermione scolds Harry "Harry don't smile at that."

Harry says "sorry, anyway the director told me that the Accidental Magic Reversal Department punctured her and altered her memory as she doesn't know about magic. My Uncle tried to hold her down but she was like a balloon. He was also pulled off the ground so he had to let her go. I knew that I needed to go and threaten my uncle with my wand or he wouldn't let me leave."

Hermione asks "so you stayed here since then."

Harry "more or less."

Hermione asks "you already have your books?"

Harry nods and Hermione asks "have you already read in them?"

Harry says "a little bit. I mean I didn't have much time as I didn't have time to do my homework at my relatives' house. Also what I just did is normal wizarding etiquette which is good to know."

Hermione says "I think I can understand, but how do you know?"

Harry can lie and unfortunately he needs to do so. He says "I just thought about especially as my father was a pureblood and my mother a muggleborn like you. Hermione if you trust can we leave it at that?"

Hermione bits her lip and says "of course, I trust you, Harry. But it looks like you keep something from me and I don't like that."

Harry says "I understand it does. How about this I got some books that will help protect your mind from people reading your mind. Yes, it is possible. If you manage to build defences and don't look Dumbledore or Snape directly in the eyes I will tell you the whole story but please leave it at this."

Hermione smiles and says "alright Harry. If you ask this of me I should be really important and probably needs to be protected for now. I understand Professor Snape but also Professor Dumbledore? And what about Professor McGonagall? She is our head of house and also deputy Headmistress?"

Harry thinks and says "Professor McGonagall knows but I don't think she told Dumbledore. I know you respect authority figures, especially Professors but this is really important Hermione. Please for me."

Hermione immediately says "I will, Harry."

Harry gives her the signature smile he barely shows. It stirs Hermione's feelings to something she only has when he smiles like that Hermione however doesn't notice that inside her.

Harry says "if Dumbledore wants to talk to you, you should be able to ask Professor McGonagall to be present during the talk as head of house Gryffindor but also as deputy Headmistress. Also, I must warn you that to protect your mind it may take decades to have good defences. However, what Dumbledore and Snape do should be easily defended and I have something that helps with it although it takes quite some time before they can detect Snape's and Dumbledore's attempts as they do it subtly as most even with the barest knowledge of protecting their minds don't know or feel as they are only able to protect against force. They don't use force as it is actually more illegal and much more noticeable."

Dan speaks up and asks "sorry Harry, but you mean the Headmaster reads students' minds while it is illegal?"

Harry nods and says "yes. It is however difficult to prove it. Also, I met Dumbledore a couple of times and when he looked me in the eyes he knew what I was thinking. I won't say Dumbledore is bad or evil, but he can't be completely light or leader of the light if he does it so many times if not every time. He may mean good but it is still against the law."

Emma asks "and you have something to help Hermione?"

Harry says "yes, I don't want to give the wrong impression. As I have been a couple of times in Diagon Alley I found a shop I never went into the last two times summers when I was here. It is a jewellery shop and they sell jewellery with runes for protection. I saw a necklace with the protection of mostly the mind and I thought immediately about Hermione. I just want to help her to protect what she values the most, her mind and knowledge."

Hermione can't help but blushes.

Harry says "I will not lie. I got a couple of necklaces that have the same protection but that is because I want to protect more friends. I can, however, assure you that Hermione was one of the first ones and if there was one necklace, it would have seriously considered her or asked the shopkeeper if she could make or order more."

Dan looks at Harry and doesn't see any signs Harry lies. He says "alright. I think you do it as she is your friend, but if the necklace does something bad to Hermione I will…."

Hermione says "don't say it, Daddy. I know I can trust Harry no matter what. He is also my best friend."

Emma sees Hermione's determination and thinks she sees something more in Hermione's eyes.

Emma thinks 'is she already in love or is it just a crush. It seems she doesn't know. I think I need to tell Dan and make sure he doesn't take it the wrong way. Although all I read about Harry up until now he seems to really care for her and that can easily change into love. I mean he is barely thirteen.'

Harry says "Hermione. You are also my best friend."

Hermione almost jumps at Harry again. Harry sits to he doesn't fall but it does make her almost straddle Harry again. It takes a couple of minutes before she lets go. During that time Tom has come with the drinks. He sees the girl and Harry Potter. He didn't want to intrude.

Tom places a bell on the table and says "when you have decided what you want for dinner and touch the bell with a wand. I will come then to take your order."

Before Dan or Emma can say they don't have a wand Tom leaves. They both think well Hermione and Harry have a wand so I think they can use their wand and they only need to touch it not cast anything.

When Hermione finally let's go her parents tell her what Tom said.

Harry says "alright we can better decide what we want. Also, Hermione before I forget the head of the DMLE is Amelia Bones, she is Susan's Aunt."

Hermione says "really. I didn't know. Thankfully, it is Susan's Aunt what would you think if it was Malfoy's father."

Harry says "I would already be in Azkaban and anyone who had two outbursts of magic before getting their wand would also be especially around muggles."

Hermione grabs his hand in fear. She is friendly with more at school like Neville and hopes Ginny will too as she wonders what Ginny is really like as the only daughter. What she heard from Ron and the twins she knows she can become good friends with Ginny. She wants to talk about Ginny but she can't with her parents. She did want to tell them about the Basilisk but she doesn't want to lose Harry. She finally has a best friend who really cares about her and protects her against bullies. He is also incredibly brave and she feels he is strong also he doesn't see it.

She wants to ask Professor McGonagall or Madam Pomfrey about feeling Harry's magic but it was after she hugged Harry in the Great Hall she felt it. After that, she was too busy with everything to ask Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey. She will ask when she arrived back at Hogwarts as besides missing Harry dearly nothing was wrong.

She also missed Harry last summer so nothing was different only that she missed Harry a lot more, but that didn't surprise her. When she was petrified it was like they become closer as he came to her almost every day so not seeing him in the summer made her miss him a lot.

Emma asks "Harry, can you get Hermione the necklace? I would like to see it."

Harry says "if you both don't mind I give her the necklace."

Dan says "I will agree as long as it does not hurt her or worse."

Hermione glares at Dan. Dan stares back and quickly Hermione drops the glare as it is her father after all. Emma knows she needs to talk to Dan and if he doesn't relent he will sleep the whole trip on the couch in their hotel room if not longer.

Emma says "of course, Harry. Take your time."

Harry leaves immediately. As soon as Harry left. Dan feels both his daughter and wife glare at him. While he could withstand the glare of his daughter his wife is a whole different story while he sometimes could withstand it most of the time he can't. The combined glare of his wife and daughter is something he could never withstand. He sees it and knows until Harry returns he will be yelled at.

Emma asks in a loud voice "how do you dare, Dan? Are you completely blind? Didn't you see the look in his eyes, the truth in them?"

Hermione yells "HOW COULD YOU DADDY? HE IS MY BEST FRIEND AND YOU TRIED TO SCARE HIM? WHAT IF HE DOESN'T WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND ANYMORE AS YOU SCARED HIM? I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY BEST FRIEND! I NEED HARRY IN MY LIFE! HE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE."

In the end, Hermione gets tears in her eyes. Emma immediately went to hug her while giving Dan, a glare a Basilisk can learn from. Dan knows he is probably too hard on Harry especially as Hermione really seems to like him but that is also the reason he is hard on Harry. He sees that Hermione really cares about Harry.

Hermione is almost fourteen it will not take long before she gets feelings for boys from crush to real love if she doesn't have already. He just doesn't want to lose his only daughter too fast and with everything he heard and read in her letter about Harry, it looks like she already has feelings of love for the boy although she heavily denied it when he asked her last summer. He saw the truth in her eyes, he wouldn't be surprised if she believes herself but he wouldn't be surprised if she soon realize she loves him no matter how much she tried to tell herself otherwise. She will probably deny preventing losing his friendship which is clearly very important to her. He just wants to make sure this boy, he( Dan likes if Hermione's letter and story are true, can take care of his girl and protect her. Also, he will try to do everything to make her happy and also support her in what she wants to do or believe in unless what she wants to do is impossible or what she believes in is wrong although she is barely wrong just like her mother.

It seems Harry is already thinking about her trying to protect her and also is there for her when she needs him at Hogwarts. He also seems to be important in the wizarding world. He hopes that the muggle society during the Victorian time doesn't look like the current wizarding society as women were treated unfairly and foreigners even worse. Dan should be happy that Hermione is English but according to her as Muggleborn quite a few don't like muggleborns and her for that matter. Dan and Emma wanted to console her as during primary school nobody liked her probably because of her cleverness, liking books and enjoying school. Dan was surprised after Halloween in her first year her letter changed and Harry was mentioned. Also during Christmas, she didn't need to be consoled for what he and Emma suspected.

It seems Harry has a large influence on her and her life. Finally this summer she also talked about other students she is at least friendly with but most of her stories were about Harry. She didn't go home for Christmas or Easter so she has a lot to tell even if she sends letters throughout the year except for the last months. She told she was very busy and while both Dan and Emma know how Hermione can get she never forgot to send letters so there is something else but Hermione tried to convince them she just forget about choosing the electives and her exams.

It was clear she would not say anything so they let it rest as she doesn't look hurt and they didn't get a letter she was. This is the first time Dan and Emma weren't sure if Hermione lied or not, especially since Dan with his background would always see if she lied or withhold something from them. He couldn't tell if she withhold something or lied. She bites her lower lip when she is thinking about something but that doesn't mean she withholds something.

Dan says "alright for now I will reserve judgement and try to not scare Harry. I guess in a couple of years I need to do so anyway."

Hermione smiles but looks confused. Emma drops her a bit as she is still not happy with him she does get a mischievous smile. Hermione dries her tears and before she can question her father Harry walks back in with one box and Hedwig on his right shoulder. He also has clearly something around his left arm.

He says "sorry it took so long. I needed to choose the right one I thought Hermione may like. Also, it took some time before Hedwig would let me go. Finally, she decides to come with me as I didn't plan to do as she asks also she wanted to see you, Hermione. I don't know why. When I told her your parents were here she was firmer she wanted to come. She also wants some bacon strips."

Hedwig jumps to the table and walks to Hermione before bumping her head to her shoulder. Hermione understands and gives her a scratch. Harry says "of course, she wants that too."

Hedwig hoots something. Harry says "Hedwig it was too far and I am sure she will tell me everything soon."

Hedwig hoots something again. Harry sighs and says "I think we can go to France somewhere in the future."

Hedwig hoots and Harry says "I don't know. Can we discuss this later?"

Hedwig hoots something that looks like you better or I will be really mad.

All the time Hermione gives Hedwig a scratch. Hedwig moves from Hermione to her parents who give her a scratch for half a minute before returning to Hermione. When Harry sits down and put the box on the table it takes a few more minutes before Hedwig steps away from Hermione and flies to the backrest just to the right of Harry. Hedwig is between Hermione and Harry.

Let's end here for now. I want to apologize for a long time between updates but suddenly all of my old chapter suddenly has many errors returning. As I didn't save those on my laptop yet. I needed to fix them again which took quite some time.

In the next chapter, we see what Harry did when he went to get the box with the necklace. We see the dinner and the evening. We see Andi and Sirius talk and more if words allow it.
