Chapter 7x2 - Reflections of Steve and Harry.

Steve and Danny accompanied Harry to the cemetery where Harry's wife was buried. Steve wanted to capture the man who had killed Harry's wife alive, but Harry had not managed to avoid pulling the trigger. Steve hadn't agreed, but he understood.

Harry laid flowers on his wife's grave and Steve watched him, while Danny stayed away because he was too excited about the ceremony where he would meet the queen.

"She was the only woman I really loved," Harry said to Steve as he stared at the grave. All his dreams were buried there.

Steve's mind quickly led him to Catherine, even though he was having a casual relationship with Lynn. Catherine had also been unique in his life, and he knew she always would be. "I once had someone like that."

Harry noticed a mixture of sadness and longing in Steve's voice. "Any chance of getting her back?"

Steve thought for a few seconds. He didn't think there was a chance she'd come back. He didn't even know why she had left, although his heart accused him telling him that he could have said more, could have loved more, could have complicated things less with her. "No," he answered with a sad smile.

Harry felt that there was still love. He didn't want to meddle in Steve's life, but he didn't understand him. His wife was there, dead, and the person Steve loved was alive. Harry would give anything if he had the chance to have his wife back, but Steve seemed resigned.

Harry looked at Steve quickly. "He could have fought more..."

PS: Hi, I know it was a very small chapter, but I felt the urge to post some more reflections. I hope you enjoyed it.
