Ace moved over to Trevor, glad that no one was close by, so he could speak with him in private. "Okay, Trevor, we need to talk." Trevor nodded. "Sure, about what?" Ace sighed. "You know, about when you tried to drown me. It obviously still bothers me. For fucks sake, I still have nightmares." Ace had dreamt about that night again and he was getting fed up with it. Trevor sighed too. "Okay. Say what you want to say." Ace nodded. "Not only did you try and drown me, because of something I said in the heat of the moment, but you ignored me for weeks. Do you have any idea how much that hurt? Do you realise I needed you during that period? I never felt as alone as I did then." Trevor blinked. "I had no idea. I thought you were fine." Ace huffed. "Well, I wasn't." Trevor sighed. "I regret that whole period, Ace. I acted wrongly, I should have seen that you needed me." Ace nodded. "Yes, yes you should have. But still, I just, how was drowning me the solution to your problems?" "I was scared you would try and kill yourself again, and I thought that if you wanted to die, you wouldn't have to die alone at least. It made sense in the moment. It doesn't now, but it did then." Ace shook his head. "I don't get it. I don't get how that made sense. For heaven's sake, I had to save you too!" Trevor nodded, giving a sheepish look. "I know. I didn't deserve it, but I remember you tried to pull me up too. It made me feel warm inside, in a way. You cared." Ace sighed, a hand moving to his face. "Of course I do. You are the only one close to my age, we bonded, and then you tried to drown me and then ignore me." Trevor nodded. "What was the worst? The drowning or the ignoring you?" Ace shook his head. "I don't know… Both were bad. At first, it was the drowning, but then you ignored me, and that hurt really badly. I only have nightmares about the drowning, but it really hurt that you ignored me." Trevor sighed. "I'm sorry, Ace, I really am. It was wrong of me to do that, both to ignore you and to try and drown you." Ace nodded. "It was. But it means a lot that you at least regret it. Maybe that will help me." Trevor chuckled. "I was sure you would hurt me now." Ace shook his head "No, too late for it and it wouldn't help. It was so long ago." Ace couldn't punish Trevor now.
As he had now spoken with Trevor, they headed back to the main deck. The rest of the days went by fine, Ace receiving assignments now and then. It was after a week that Trevor moved to speak with him. "Hey," Started Trevor. "I heard from Mikasa you took her kills. Why?" Ace blinked. "You only heard about that just now? That was a couple of weeks ago. And as for why, I was upset about the Luffy and Trafalgar situation, and needed to kill someone." Trevor nodded slowly. "I get that." Ace then frowned as he remembered something. "Luffy also said he spoke to you for a bit. What was it about?" He had forgotten about that, but remembered that Luffy had shot off to speak with the man for a while. Trevor looked to be on his way to answer but sighed instead. "Okay, Ace, I can't do this, I can't lie to you." Ace blinked. Trevor had never lied to him before. "Lie about what?" "I know the truth about the Luffy and Law having intercourse." Said Trevor, making Ace frown, not liking this. "What do you mean the truth?" Trevor sighed again. "Luffy actually blackmailed me. He said if I told him, he would tell you he doesn't like me, and I can't lose you. But, I also can't lie." Ace really didn't like this. "What's the truth? Tell me." Trevor moved his hands a bit. "Don't be mad, try and remain calm. But when they did it, Law simply told Luffy to fight it if he didn't want it. That was it, there was no conversation, or questions, about it. Just a 'fight me'." Ace blinked. "What?!" Ace couldn't believe his ears. "Are you telling me that Trafalgar said to either fight him, or just let it happen? What if Luffy had tried to fight!?" Trevor moved his hands up in a calm manner. "Stay calm. I think Luffy understood the situation. He likes being around Law." Ace shook his head. "I don't care! That's not how one does it! Why didn't you tell me before?!" Trevor sighed. "I didn't want to risk our friendship because of Luffy, but I really can't lie to you. I just... can't." Ace let out an exasperated breath. "You know what, I don't care. I will deal with you after I've dealt with Trafalgar." Trevor nodded. "I deserve that. But, try to remember that Luffy actually likes this man, so don't kill him." Ace moved a hand to his face. That was true, Luffy liked this man. Why did Luffy have to like this man? He would speak with Luffy first, and find out why he hid it.
So Ace disappeared a second later, appearing on the island which Luffy was on, finding him doing some kind of haki training with Rayleigh. "Ace!" Yelled Luffy when he saw him, shooting over. Rayleigh did give a curious look, probably wanting to know why he was here. After briefly holding Luffy, he leaned back so he could look at his brother. "Why didn't you tell me the truth about you and Trafalgar?" Luffy blinked, before he frowned. "Trevor told?" Ace nodded. "And you are not to blackmail anyone! What were you thinking?" Luffy shook his head. "I wanted to protect Traffy- Law! I don't want you to hurt him!" Ace moved his hands to Luffy's shoulders. "That's not your decision. I get to decide that. And he told you to just fight him, what if he didn't listen to you? What would you have done then? He's a warlord, he's stronger than you." Luffy puffed out his cheeks. "He's not! And he would have stopped! I know he would have!" That wasn't good enough for him. "I don't care! It was wrong of him to do it like that! And I will deal with him accordingly!" Luffy frowned. "No! Don't kill him! Don't you dare kill him!" Ace let out an exasperated breath. "Why not?! He was mean to you!" Luffy shook his head. "He wasn't! He was nice! I promise, he was!" Ace shook his head. "It is too late for that." Luffy got a mad look upon his face. "You kill him, and I will never speak to you again!" Ace sighed. He couldn't handle that. "I won't kill him, okay?" Luffy nodded slowly. "What will you do?" Ace sighed again, he didn't know yet. "I don't know. But something, so that he knows how to act in the future." Luffy glared at him. "You are not to kill him, nor do any lasting damage." Luffy knew he was pissed and would be heading for Trafalgar. Ace would do what Luffy asked, or at least try to.
He then sent Dust to Trafalgar's boat, or submarine, and when he appeared, Trafalgar gave a swallow. "What in the world made you think lying to me would keep you safe? I would like an answer, Trafalgar." Trafalgar swallowed again. "I- I didn't think." Ace nodded. "You obviously didn't. And did you think you would get away with it?" Trafalgar shook his head. "N-no, I just-" Ace held a hand up. "Normally, I would have killed you. But I can't. I can't kill you, which only makes me furious." Trafalgar blinked at that, obviously feeling certain that he would be killed. "W-why can't you just k- kill me?" Ace hummed. "Because of Luffy. He likes you, which makes me even more furious! Why does it have to be you?!" Ace was angry and wanted to yell, but tried not to. He just spoke with more force. Trafalgar swallowed again. Ace moved his hand, and a second later Trafalgar fell down unconscious. The rest of his crew thankfully were inside, Trafalgar probably sent them away when he saw Dust, which was good. He would deliver Trafalgar back when he was done with him.

Ace stood over Trafalgar, having tied him to a chair with seastone chains, knowing that would keep the man from fighting. He had transported Trafalgar to an empty house far away, so no one would hear Trafalgar, Ace was certain he would scream, and was looking forward to it. He wanted to hear Trafalgar scream. As everything was ready, he woke Trafalgar back up, which he did with a start. When he was awake, it was clear he was terrified, glancing around the room and at his restraints before he settled his gaze on him. "Please don't kill me. Please." Ah, begging, so the warlord wasn't above that. "I won't kill you. I promised Luffy I wouldn't. But that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun." Trafalgar swallowed at that. "P-please don't hurt me." Ace chuckled. "You know, I would have believed you were above begging. But still, nothing you say can get you out of this." Trafalgar swallowed. "I promise to stay away from him, I will." Ace shook his head. "Too late. You've sealed your fate. Not only did you force yourself onto Luffy, you lied to me. Don't worry, I won't play with you too much, just a little bit, until I feel better." Trafalgar swallowed, remaining silent. Smart man. Anything he says will only get on Ace's last nerve.
Ace then moved to Trafalgar's left hand. "Normally, I have free reign, and I like to kill. I like to remove teeth and tongue, it makes me feel better. But this time, I won't be able to do that since I can't do too much damage. Instead, I'll settle for a nail." Trafalgar eyes widened further as Ace grabbed his index finger's nail, slowly dragging it off. Trafalgar did let out a slight groan through his teeth, trying not to make a sound. When Ace was done, he flicked the nail away. "You know, you shouldn't be silent, that just irks me." He understood why Trafalgar didn't want to make a sound, it was a sign of weakness. But he should scream, it would benefit him in the end. Ace wouldn't stop until he managed to get the other to scream. Ace moved on to Trafalgar's ring finger. "Normally, I put nails through my victims joints which makes them holler. But that would be considered as lasting damage, and I'm not allowed to do that, so I'll settle for another nail," slowly dragging the next nail off.
Trafalgar groaned, but still didn't scream. Well then, Ace needed to up his game. So he moved to stand beside Trafalgar. "Do you know what a columbian necktie is?" Trafalgar slowly shook his head, making Ace hum. "It is where you cut one's neck open and drag the tongue out of the wound, creating a necktie. But, as you can guess, I am not allowed to do that. But, that doesn't mean your tongue is safe." Ace then moved a hand to Trafalgar's head, bending it back and opening his mouth, dragging his tongue out. He places the knife at the back of the tongue, slowly starts slicing it down the middle. About an inch in, Trafalgar screamed. Ace closed his eyes with a small smile, finally he had screamed. Ace cut it an inch or two more before stopping. He didn't cut the tongue in half, as he wanted to, just a couple of inches. It would heal nicely with some thread. Trafalgar was a skilled doctor, nobody would be able to tell anything had happened at all. Ace hummed. "What to do, what to do. I could castrate you, maybe it will keep you away from Luffy." Trafalgar balked at that, giving out a whimper, and Ace chuckled. He liked speaking to his victims, made them more wary and caused them to imagine the torture. It was a kind of torture in itself. "But, I won't do that. That would be permanent damage." Ace then headed to Trafalgar's right hand, moving to remove 3 of his nails: his pinkie, thumb, and middle finger. He let the index finger and ring finger keep their nails. It would cause him more problems, when he started to use his hands again, as he could only press down on 2 out of 5 of his fingers without causing himself pain. "Do you know what the nerves in your fingers look like? You should, as you're a doctor." Trafalgar nodded, swallowing the blood that was pooling in his mouth, making Ace continue. "Usually, I like to use a needle or nail to cleave the nerve in half... the main nerve." Ace moved two fingers to Trafalgar's index finger, pressing down slightly with his nail. "It is very painful." Trafalgar hand tensed as he whimpered, making Ace chuckle. "But that isn't good enough, no for what you did." Trafalgar nodded slowly, his hand relaxing fractionally, before he swallowed again. He shouldn't swallow all the blood, it would make him nauseous, and if he threw up in his mouth, it would just hurt his tongue more with the acid. Also, if he choked on it, Ace wasn't sure if he would save the other. "Usually, I would like to skin my victims alive, starting from the lower back, slowly peeling it up with my blade. I haven't done that for a while, so it would feel great to do it now." Ace then moved to be at the back of the chair, grabbing one of his knives from its sheath, slicing his clothing from the bottom up. He slowly slid the knife back down to the bottom of his back to the bottom left corner, pressing it slightly into his flesh, and leaving a small incision. He placed his other hand on it, pinching the edge of the incision, peeling it slightly. Trafalgar tensed with a frightful scream. He pulled the coroner up another inch… before pushing Trafalgar so that he tipped forward within his restraints. Trafalgar gave a yelp in surprise, taking shuddering breaths, spitting out the blood from his mouth. Trafalgar must know what would happen if he swallowed too much of it, so it was a good choice. Ace then removed his knife.
"But I can't, as that would be a lasting and most likely fatal damage, but this will do." Ace moved to be beside Trafalgar, moving a hand to his shoulder, leaning in toward his ear. "There, I'm done for now. Next time, if you hurt Luffy, I won't just tell you what I usually do. I will do them! Got it?!" Trafalgar nodded rapidly. "Ai w'll li'ten." Trafalgar couldn't speak well due to the incision and excess blood, but Ace understood him. "Also, if you stay away from Luffy now, it will make him sad, and no one makes Luffy sad. You understand me? You have a begrudging blessing to be around Luffy, which still counts. Congratulations. Now don't disappoint me, or Luffy, or I will come after you." Trafalgar nodded, and Ace moved his hand and made Trafalgar fall unconscious again. Ace then made quick work of placing Trafalgar back on the deck of his ship, making sure that no one saw him. He knew Trafalgar wasn't far away from Luffy's island, so it would be interesting to see what he would do now. if he had the nerve to be around Luffy. If he didn't, it would make Luffy sad, which would make Ace go after Trafalgar again. No one makes Luffy sad.

Law blinked when he woke up, looking around to see he was in the infirmary on his boat. When he found his bearings, he noticed Corazon sitting in a chair close to his bed, his gaze directed elsewhere. "Wha-!" Law moved a hand to his mouth, feeling his tongue pulsating in pain. It was enough for Corazon to notice he was awake and the man getting a worried look. "What the hell happened?! You were just gone and then you show up injured!" Law just gave him a glare, keeping his hand over his mouth, and Corazon seemed to get why. "Your tongue still hurt? We didn't know how much morphine we could give you." Of course they didn't, and Law moved to stand up, giving a groan as his lower back pulsated in pain. He managed to move over to the cabinet with the morphine and made his own syringe and injected it, glad when it helped some second later. Law then went over to a second cabinet and brought out some gurgling water to numb his tongue, which hurt like hell, but it would help. When he had, he looked at Corazon, hoping he could manage to speak coherently. "Ai lie' tu Ace o' Spa'es." Corazon used a second to comprehend what he had said, before he looked shocked. "You lied to the Ace of Spades!? And you're still alive?!" Law nodded. "Luf'y sav'd me." Oh God his tongue hurt. He moved to a mirror and stuck his tongue out, seeing it was sown together. He could have done a better job himself, but it was okay. His tongue was also badly swollen. "How did Luffy save you?" Law gave a glare to Corazon, not in the mood to talk.
"Okay," Started Corazon. "I get it, your tongue hurts. Speaking of Luffy, he called earlier, he wants to see you." Law's eyes opened wide. Luffy wanted what? Would Law dare to? Law shook his head, he had to. If not, Luffy would apparently be sad, and the assassin would come for him. "Ai nee' t' se' h'm. If no' ai'm dea'." Corazon frowned, before he got it. "You're going to see him?!" Law nodded. "If no', the as'as'in wil' com' fo' meh." Corazon frowned. "So, you need to still be around Luffy or else you're dead. Well, it's not my funeral. But can you head over there like you are? You're injured badly." Law nodded. "Ai nee' to.".
He moved out of the infirmary. The rest of his crew were close by, and were asking what had happened, which Law just glared at. Corazon did come out and explained that he had lied to the Ace of Spades, and everyone looked shocked at it. "You dared to lie to him? Wow, you've got guts. But you paid greatly for it." Said Penguin, and Law could only nod. He didn't want to speak anymore, it just hurt. They then headed for the island Luffy was at, not being far away so it was only an hour until they were there.
When they got on the island, Luffy quickly appeared in front of him, just coming out of nowhere. "What did Ace do!?" Okay, so the kid knew the assassin had come for him. Law started by opening his mouth, showing his tongue to Luffy, who gave a hiss. "He cut your tongue?" Law nodded, before he showed his hands, showing his missing nails then turned around and showed his back. When he turned back, Luffy gave a look to him. "He didn't do more?" Law shook his head, making Luffy let out a breath. "You got off easy. I've seen his victims. Both those who have walked away and those how have not. I'm glad I got him to go easy on you." Law nodded, he knew that. He was lucky. Luffy gave a worried look to him. "It hurts to speak?" Law nodded, making Luffy let out a breath. "If you want, I can speak to Ace again." Law shook his head, that was the last thing he wanted, it would make this worse. Luffy shook his head. "He won't do anything more to you. You're even now. You faced your consequence, so you're on his good side again, Ace is very clear on that. You're safe until you mess up again, which you won't. I will keep you safe." That was a good thing, and Law would be careful, he would not do anything to the brat without asking and making sure it was fine. He did like Luffy, but would test the waters out for now. He would be careful.
For now, he hoped he would heal up well and not get on the assassin's bad side again. If what Luffy said was true, he was back on his good side... for now.

Whitebeard watched as Trevor came into the galley, having been gone for a bit and was later for dinner, which was rare. When he sat down at their table, Mika asked where he had been. Trevor answered by holding his hand up, and it took a second, but the captain noticed Trevor was missing all his nails, which had him frown. What had happened? "Oh no," Started Mika. "What did you do?" Trevor shook his head. "Lied to Ace. Or almost lied to Ace and kept information from him which I shouldn't have." Mika shook her head with a chuckle, not seeming worried. "You know how Ace is about the truth, and information. You got off lucky." Trevor nodded. "I know, he had his fun with Trafalgar Law first, so he was in a good mood." Whitebeard still had a frown. "Ace did that?" Trevor nodded. "Yeah. It was my fault; I know the rules." Everyone on the table swallowed. Ace had actually hurt Trevor for keeping something from him and then almost lying about it. It wasn't a big injury, but removing nails was hurtful. "How did he do it?" Asked Mika, and Trevor let out a breath. "I had to remove them myself." That caused all of them to blink. "What?!" Said Izou. "You had to remove them yourself!?" Trevor nodded calmly. "Yes, but it's better than Ace removing them, that hurts worse. If I can do it myself, I can choose how fast and just get it over with. Ace uses a lot of time and drags them off slowly." Trevor then moved to look at his nailless fingers. "But, this will still hurt for a while." Mika clapped Trevor on his back. "You know how he is. But you're back on his right side." Trevor nodded. "Thankfully." Whitebeard frowned more. "Back on his right side?" Mika nodded. "Trevor messed up and got on Ace's bad, and the only way back is to meet the consequences of your own actions. And then you're back on his good side." Okay, it did make sense, but it was still horrific. Ace had taken Trevor's nails, or forced Trevor to take them themselves. It was gruesome.
"Also," Started Trevor, "When Ace comes, don't be all shocked or scared. I messed up, so I knew what I walked into. Ace would never hurt you without a very good reason." Okay, that was good to know, and had his children seem more calm. Ace was a terrifying man at times. "So," Started Izou, "He won't hurt us?" Trevor lifted an eyebrow. "Has he ever hurt you?" Izou shook his head, and Trevor nodded. "There you go. He has hurt me many times before. I act wrongly at times, even though I know better. Ace will never hurt you just to hurt you. You need to do something very wrong. Me? I lied about something important concerning Luffy." Mika chuckled. "Then you deserved it. You never lie about something related to them." Mika snorted. "You never do that." Izou gave a slow nod. "Okay, I get he is overprotective of them." Trevor shook his head with a chuckle. "Overprotective is an understatement. There is no word for how protective he is of them." Whitebeard could see that. Ace was very overprotective of his brothers. He was still worried for Trevor, but he just waved it off, saying it was nothing new. It was obvious that Trevor knew he had done wrong, He could see his children were still unsure though. He had hurt Soul earlier, and now he had hurt Trevor. Everyone knows to not mess with Ace now.
It was a bit later that Ace appeared, and everyone who had heard what he had done to Trevor gave small looks to him, but he seemed to not care. When he got to their table, he started some conversation with Trevor, acting like his usual self. It was clear Ace had forgiven Trevor. He had forgiven him by taking his nails off, or making Trevor do it himself, which was worse in his opinion, but things were back to normal. He was sure most of his children would act more careful around Ace, but Whitebeard was sure they were safe. They would get a warning if they did anything wrong.

Marco sat in the galley with everyone, the weather outside was bad. He could see many of the others were still shocked by what Ace had done to Trevor, and he understood why. It was a sort of horrific thing to do, but it was clear Trevor knew he had done wrong. And the fact Ace and Trevor spoke normally, suggested that things were back to normal. Ace had his way of dealing with things, and it was to get even with others it seemed like. Even if it was horrific, it was probably justified, that was how it seemed based on how Trevor and Mika acted. He was a bit worried about what Ace had done with this Trafalgar Law, the Warlord, but it was probably justified too. Nothing big happened for the next few hours, and after a few hours, Ace received a job request.
Marco watched as Ace read it, before he sighed. "I need to do this. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Maybe a few more, if unlucky." Marco nodded. "Okay, I'll see you later, yoi." Ace nodded, and headed out of the galley, probably to change. Pops did give a 'be careful', which Ace had nodded to. The evening went fine after that, and after a couple of hours, Marco moved to his room, and got in bed, trying to fall asleep. He needed the sleep as he had the morning shift tomorrow, but he was a bit worried as he hadn't seen Ace yet. But, Ace has said he might be a few hours late, so there was still a couple of hours before he was supposed to return. Marco hoped Ace would be fine and hoped to see him tomorrow. After about half an hour, Marco was still trying to fall asleep, but without success, but he then heard the door open. Marco's first thought was that it was someone coming to get him early for his shift, or for something important; that happened way too often.
But, as Marco rolled over to check who it was, he was relieved to see it was Ace. When Ace had an assignment, he often went to his own room when he returned at night. It did happen more and more often that Ace came and joined him in bed when he returned from an assignment, or when he wanted to relax or sleep. Marco found it really nice that Ace came to him. As Ace prepared himself to get into bed, taking his cape, daggers, and such off, Marco moved towards the wall, making space for Ace. He knew Ace preferred to lay close to the wall, but lately he didn't seem to mind either one, especially if Ace came and joined him like this. Marco gave a breath as he relaxed, moving to lay on his back for now. After a few seconds, he felt the bed dip, Ace moving to lay down in the bed.
But, a second later, he felt shocked when Ace moved closer than normal. This only increased when Ace moved to actually lay on him, his head on Marco's chest, and arm over his chest, giving a breath as he stilled. Marco gave a small frown, moving his head to look at Ace, who seemed to be a bit tense but trying to relax. This was unusual for Ace, even a bit worrying, in Marco's opinion. Marco smelled the air a bit, seeing as Ace was this close; he would be able to smell alcohol if Ace had drank anything. Ace always smelled of alcohol after drinking- the more the smell was there, the more he had drank. His frown deepened when he smelled nothing unusual, not even a hint of moved a hand to Ace's back, stroking it a bit. "Ace, you okay, yoi?" Something had to be wrong for Ace to want to be this close, but Marco didn't know what. He hadn't seemed sick or anything either.
Ace gave a small sigh. "I'm good. Just been a long day," Marco gave a nod, sure there was more to it than that. "Want to talk about it, yoi?" Ace gave a small sigh again. "Just... needed to deal with some Blue-Blooded Patricians. And I have a small headache." Marco gave a nod. He knew when those people were involved, it meant really bad things had happened. Ace must have more than just a small headache. He had a feeling Ace was more clingy when he was in pain or sick, especially now, as he trusted Marco more. Marco carefully moved his hand to Ace's head, combing it through his hair, knowing that always helped when he had a headache. Ace gave a breath at it, seeming to like it. Marco gave a small kiss to Ace's head. "You can relax now, yoi." Marco was sure Ace knew he could relax now, but had noticed Ace often liked to hear it too, to know he was safe. Ace gave a small nod, giving a breath again, before relaxing more. Marco wanted to speak more about it, to know what had happened, but as Ace had a headache, he let it go. Marco kept his hand on Ace's head, stroking it, his other arm was lightly draping over Ace's back. He enjoyed having Ace this close, it felt good. Marco also hoped Ace wouldn't have the headache tomorrow. It didn't take long for Ace to fall asleep, still lying on top of him, Marco kept his hands on Ace's head and back, relaxing for a few minutes before he fell asleep himself.
Marco began waking up when he felt some movement on top of him, opening his eyes to see Ace moving off him and sitting up in bed, making Marco sit up as well. "How do you feel, yoi?" Ace nodded. "I feel fine, my headache is gone." That was good and Marco nodded. "That's good. Do you have any plans for today?" Ace hummed. "Not really. I might train today, I will see if I get a request or not." Marco nodded. "How is it going? Training?" Ace sighed. "Not as well as I would like. But Moira says it will just take some time." Marco nodded. "I'm sure you can do it." Ace chuckled. "I do too. But we just need to wait and see." Marco nodded and the two headed out to start their day. After a few hours, Dust came with a note for Ace, and when Trevor asked what it was, Ace clicked his tongue. "Noble." Trevor nodded. "Want me to join?" Ace shook his head. "No, it will go fine. I'm going to have fun." It had Trevor grin, and Ace headed off to do the assignment. Marco hoping it would go fine.
-x-
Ace moved over to the table he had tied Trym to, the Noble he was after. Ace grabbed his dagger, before he moved back over to Trym's head, waiting for the man to wake up, which he did, after about half an hour. When he woke up, he was first confused, before he let out a string of profanities and demanded that Ace let him go, which had Ace chuckle. "Why would I do that? You've had your fun, now it's time for me to have my fun." Trym faltered a bit at that, before he got his voice back. "I've never hurt you! Let me go!" Ace hummed. "No, I won't. Many of your victims didn't walk away alive, so do you think you will either." Trym swallowed. "W-what will you do?" Ace let out another hum, moving his dagger to be in front of Trym. "Well, I've seen your victims, and many had their eyes cut, so why don't we start there." Trym then started to try and fight against his chains. He could only move his fingers, his toes, and his head, somewhat. He was stuck, Ace had made sure of it. Ace then moved the dagger to Trym's eye, slowly slashing it open, watching as the vitreous gel inside the eye got smeared around his eyeball, Trym letting out a loud scream. There would be more damage soon, as Ace moved to grab his hammer, before he grabbed a handful of nails, putting them in his pocket, before he grabbed Trym's left hand. "You can move your fingers, but not for long." Ace had tied him to a wooden table for a reason, so he brought the hammer down on a nail over his middle finger joint, pinning it to the table, Trym let out another scream with it. Ace loved to hear his victims scream, it meant things were going as planned.
His thumb soon followed, then his pinkie, index finger and ring finger, Trym letting out a scream each time. After he was done with that, he moved back to Trym's head again. "What should I do next?" Trym moved to spit at Ace, but Ace simply sidestepped. "Well then, how about we move to your legs." Ace humming as he went along. "What should we do here, I wonder. Maybe we'll work on those toes." Ace then removed the man's shoes and socks. He could just cut his toes off, but that was no fun. And Trym deserved worse. So Ace moved his dagger to his big toe, placing the blade underneath his nail, before he slowly removed it, making sure to cut a bit into the flesh under his nails. He knew that would be painful. Trym did scream with it, and Ace enjoyed every scream. Trym deserved it after all. He then repeated the act on his remaining 4 toes, almost cutting off his little toe accidentally, but it was fine. Ace then moved up to his right hand, loosening the chains that held it down, holding it tightly under his own arm. Trym was already weak from all the pain so it was an easy feat met with little resistance. Ace then brought a nail out, placing it at the tip of Trym's index finger, underneath his finger nail, pushed it in. The nerves went down to the tip of the finger, knowing it would be extremely painful, Ace slowly cleaved the nerve in half. Trym didn't even have the breath to scream the entire time. Ace took his time with it.
When he was done with his index finger, he moved to repeat it with his middle finger, but Trym fell unconscious. Ace sighed, but he was prepared for it, and moved to grab a syringe from inside his pocket. It was filled with adrenaline, and Ace injected the contents into Trym's arm, Trym soon waking up with a start, breathing through his teeth in pain. "Just kill me!" Ace hummed. "No, I don't think I will." Ace then went back to Trym's right middle finger and continued the deed of cleaving his nerve in half. Ace loved his work at times, and right now was a time he would enjoy the most. He decided it was finally time to starting ending Trym's life, albiet slowly. He grabbed his tongue, dragging it out of his mouth as far as it could go, slicing the underneath of the tongue, making it so that he could drag it out much further. Ace then moved his left leg to be kneeling on the table, above Trym's head, giving a hum before he brought his right knee up and kicked Trym's jaw so that he bit off his own tongue. Trym did try and scream, but it wasn't much of a scream as his mouth was filling up with blood. Trym did spit the blood out, which was a good move, better than swallowing it. He would stay alive for a while longer if he kept that up. Ace then went back to his right hand, continuing to cleave the nerves on the remaining fingers. Ace then made his way to Trym's midriff, using his dagger to open his shirt. He slowly cut the man open, slicing from his chest to his navel, before peeled open the two slices of skin protruding from his stomach, ripping Trym almost in half from his chest to his groin. With that, Trym did manage a scream, before his mouth pooled with blood again.
Trym would soon be dead, the blood loss was extensive, but it would be a slow death. Maybe Trym would choke on his blood, or swallow it and throw back up and choke Choking was a terrible way to die, and blood loss would mean he would lie like this for at least an hour more. With that, Ace left, heading back to the boat for a shower to wash the blood off his hands. He enjoyed showering after assignments. After that, he headed out on deck to where everyone was, Trevor speaking up when he saw him. "How'd it go?" Ace hummed. "Accordingly." That had Trevor grin. He knew what that meant, it meant someone really got what they deserved. As he was out, he noticed they had started an archery competition. It was interesting to watch.

Marco watched as Ace came outside and when Trevor asked how it had gone and Ace said accordingly. Marco had a feeling that meant he had killed someone, which was only confirmed when Trevor grinned. As Ace was out, Thatch soon also noticed him, "Come on, Ace! Join the game!" Ace chuckled. "I can do a few shots, but I won't join the competition." Thatch frowned. "Why not? Wouldn't it be fun?" Ace hummed. "No, more along the lines of unfair." Thatch looked confused at that. "Unfair? Why would it be unfair? Is it because Izou's leading?" Marco had a feeling the chef had forgotten about the fact Ace was amazing in archery. Ace chuckled. "Not exactly." Ace then walked towards the shooting platform, and Thatch looked proud that he had gotten Ace to join, always wanting him to join and get to know him better. When Ace was a couple of feet from the small platform, Ace slipped out of his shoes. Before any of them could comment, Ace had moved both his hands onto the platform, raising his legs, his body arching over himself into a backbend. He grabbed the bow and an arrow with his toes, one foot on the limb and the other on the string and arrow, then raising his legs up. His head lifted up, his right leg remaining straight whilst the left pulled the string taut, before he released, hitting the target perfectly in the middle.
All of those around stood amazed, mouths hanging open, as Ace moved his feet back down, placing the bow back on the platform, before straightening back up. He gave a look to Thatch as he put his shoes on again. "I think it would be unfair." Thatch nodded, using a second to close his mouth. "Y-yeah. I forgot you were amazing." Ace chuckled. "I'm not in the competition. I think I'll just watch." Thatch nodded. "Yeah, that's fine. That was amazing." Ace shrugged. "You learn tricks now and then." Izou snorted, moving over to the platform and lifting the bow. "That was amazing. I don't get how you managed to do it, it's really hard to aim standing straight." Ace chuckled, moving over to Izou who had just grabbed an arrow. "Here, hold your left arm out with a small bend in it, and the bow in a firm grip, the index finger higher than the rest." Ace moved to stand beside Izou, Izou moving his hands into the right position. "Then the other you hold in the middle of the string with the arrow resting on your index finger, holding the back between your middle and index finger. Move your feet a bit apart, left one slightly forward. Shoulders back and keep the firm grip. Drag the string back until the arrow head is half an inch from your face, making your hand be close to your shoulder. Then move to look at the target, don't aim with the arrow, but your index finger. Then, the rest is the same as a gun." Izou nodded and looked at the target. The crossdresser then took a couple of deep breaths as he was lining up with the target, he breathed in one last time, and let go of the string, the arrow hitting the target dead in the middle.
Izou gave an excited sound as he clapped his hands. "I did it!" Izou had the highest points, as no one had managed to hit the target in the centre. aside from Ace, but he was amazing with a bow and arrow. Everyone gave a cheer for Izou, who gave a small bow, before he looked at Ace. "I didn't know I needed to aim with my finger, not the arrow." Ace chuckled. "Many think that. But think of it like this- the arrow rests on your index finger, and the arrow's body is what needs to move straight to get a good aim. If you use the arrow, you will either aim too low, or too high." Izou blinked, before he nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense. Never thought of it like that." Ace chuckled. "Archery is its own skill. You just need to relax and not overthink it." Izou nodded, looking amazed and happy, before he moved to grab another arrow, obviously wanting to try again. As he had shot the arrow, it was a bit off, landing on the second to middle circle, almost another bullseye. Ace gave a small breath with a smile. "Your left arm, it needs to be a little more straight; you held it a bit down. Your index finger needs to be the same height as your shoulder." Izou nodded, and tried again, this time getting another bullseye, half an inch from the first arrow, making the crossdresser happy. Thatch gave a small groan as he looked at the target. "You're going to win, Izou! You're too good!" Izou gave an amused smile. "Well, practice makes perfect. And my teacher was good." Ace chuckled. "You know, you can make other types of challenges too, not just hitting a still target." Thatch blinked. "Like what?" Ace hummed, taking the bow from Izou, and lifting three arrows, placing all of them on the string, before pulling it back. Ace made some small adjustments with the fingers on the bow with the arrows, before he let go,all three arrows hitting and splitting the three arrows Izou had shot. Ace then lowered the bow, giving a look to Thatch. "Like that. Or you can throw something and then shoot that, or anything that sounds fun." Thatch blinked. "Yeah, I'm glad you didn't join the competition. That was amazing." Ace chuckled. "I've learned a lot through my years." Thatch nodded. "Noted."
They then finished up the competition, Izou being the clear winner. It had been a fun game, and even Ace seemed to enjoy it, having helped a few with how they should aim and stand.

Whitebeard sat in the meeting room with his commanders, Ace missing it as he had just left for a mission. It wouldn't be a long assignment, so he might be back before it was ended. As everyone had settled down, Thatch moved his hands together. "Okay, before we start, let me say what everyone is thinking; I am scared of Ace." Everyone nodded, and the captain sighed. He got it. Ace could be scary. Trevor snorted. "That's it? You're scared of him? I am terrified of him." Thatch blinked. "You are? You don't act like it." Trevor snorted. "I would much rather jump in the ocean and hope for the best than even think of getting on Ace's bad side. I've seriously pushed my luck before but never truly been on his bad side. And I am just used to being terrified of him." Thatch nodded slowly. "Okay, so we get used to it?" Trevor nodded. "You do. You will have times you are more terrified than usual, but it passes. You just learned that Ace is stern and his punishments are not the common ones. Give it a week, you'll be fine." Everyone nodded, and Whitebeard decided he should ask something. "What did you do? What did you almost lie about?" Trevor sighed. "Luffy. Something about Luffy. Just leave it at that. Ace will never hurt you, he won't. So don't be scared of that. You need to really fuck up for that to happen, much more than me, much more. You're his family, I am his friend and acquaintance. We work together, and have for a long time. It's different with Mika and I, we know the rules, and as assassins we have to play by them." Izou moved a hand up. "What about when we know the rules?" Trevor hummed. "Then you know the rules. Ace still wouldn't hurt his family. You might get a raised voice. That's it. He has never hurt Luffy or Sabo, and they have messed up at times too. Sabo has gone against direct orders and Ace just raised his voice a bit. Actually, most times he didn't even get a raised voice. You're his family now, so you're in the same boat. Don't be scared of Ace. He is used to it, to people being afraid of him, but please don't be scared of him. He likes you."
Whitebeard nodded, that was good to know. His children did also nod. It made sense, and Ace was a part of their family. They might not be on the same level as Luffy and Sabo, but they were family. Ace wouldn't hurt them, he hadn't yet and probably wouldn't. They would really need to mess up for that to happen. And he hoped that never would happen. They then started the meeting, and when they were almost done, Ace showed up and joined for the last bit, before they parted. Everyone did seem wary of Ace, but they also seemed to be themselves. Trevor's words probably helped.

As evening was approaching, Marco and Ace soon headed to Marco's room for the evening, and when they got there, Ace sat down on bed, looking at him, making him frown. "Anything up, yoi?" Ace hummed. "Actually, Marco, I would like to talk about something." Marco blinked, nodding as he sat down on bed, next to Ace. "Sure, yoi. About what?" It was unusual for Ace to be the one to bring up certain conversations, it was Marco that brought things up. Ace was starting to really open up with his thoughts and about his past, and Marco had always hoped Ace would start certain conversations himself. Ace exhaled as he looked at him. "About the engagement- the wedding ordeal." Marco nodded, feeling his heart speed up, his mind giving him an idea of what this might be about, and Marco hoped it wasn't. "Okay. What about it, yoi?" Marco would at least do his best to keep calm and hear what Ace had to say. Ace gave a hum with a breath. "I think I'm ready to start slowly planning some of it." Marco blinked. Ace said what? "Could- could you say that again, yoi?" Marco had been expecting something completely different, and felt shocked, hoping he heard right. Ace gave a small look to him. "Plan the wedding. Not a date and such, but like; who will we invite? Where will it be held? Who's gonna do the ceremony? How traditional will it be? And, which tradition?" Marco blinked. "Yeah, I would like that, yoi." Ace gave a chuckle, moving a hand to his leg. "What did you expect? You look like you saw a ghost." Marco sighed. "I don't know why, but I thought you wanted to call it off, yoi."
Ace gave him a confused look. "What? Why would I think that? You do remember we are actually married, and this would be more for the ceremonial sake, since I have a feeling people would feel betrayed if they couldn't celebrate with us." Marco chuckled, moving to hold Ace's hand and look at the ring on his finger. "I forgot, yoi. I've just gotten used to saying we're just engaged." Ace chuckled. "Agree. But, yeah. And, since we are already married, we don't need an official with the power to wed us off. Technically, we could use anyone." Marco hummed. "I think I want it as legit as we can, yoi. We can find someone." Ace chuckled. "We can. And, if I wanted to break it off, I would have taken the ring off. That's like the first thing one does." Marco sighed. "I don't know why I thought that, yoi." Ace hummed. "Paranoid, I'd say." Marco shrugged. "Maybe. But... we shouldn't tell Izou we're starting to plan our wedding; he will lose it and bug us for days and days on the how and when, and everything, yoi." Ace gave a laugh. "I can see that. Just between us then, maybe Whitebeard, and any others we know who won't butt in." Marco nodded, before he felt a bit confused. "Wait. Who to invite? Wouldn't it be just the family, yoi?" Ace snorted. "If we do that, there's going to be so many pissed off people." Marco tried to think. "Like who?" Ace hummed. "Well, for once. Luffy, Sabo and their crew. And most of the people from The Red Cloud. Garp would lose it if he wasn't invited. And Shanks and his crew- we also need to find a way to tell him we're even engaged-" Marco let out a groan, thinking of Shanks' reaction, but Ace continued. "Oh, and a bunch from various places. I have many who would want to come and will start a riot if they aren't invited."
Marco blinked. "I get Sabo and Luffy and their crew, of course they need to come, yoi. But people from The Red Cloud? Shanks? -Wait no, he would be really annoying if he wasn't invited- and Garp? Do you really have that many, yoi?" Ace chuckled. "I've travelled a lot, Marco. I have many people around that would love to come, and would be mad if they didn't. Like Rayleigh, those back at Boreumdo, Dawn - the island I grew up on, and islands I have helped. And of course the Red Cloud will come." Marco chuckled. "I guess the Red Cloud is like your family, yoi. I just didn't expect so many would join. Wouldn't we all be an easy target? Shanks and his crew, Rayleigh, Sabo and Luffy with their crew. The bounties alone will probably attract the Marines and the World Government, yoi." Ace laughed. "Marco, haven't you listened? Not only will the entire Whitebeard fleet be there and Shanks and his crew - two Yonkos, but at least one Warlord, and many other pirates and fighters from around the world. And all of the top assassins, basically the entire Red Cloud. Who in their right mind would dare try?" That was true, Marco should have realised that. "Who said the marines are in their right mind, yoi?" Ace laughed. "Not even the marines are that stupid, they wouldn't dare. Imagine how many powerful fighters would be there."
Marco chuckled. "You win, yoi. I have a feeling we're going to need a bigger boat." Ace gave a laugh with a smile. "Boat? No, no, Marco. We're going to need an entire fucking island!" Marco blinked. "You're bringing so many, yoi?" Ace chuckled, moving to push his shoulder. "Oh, stop it. You have lots of people too. There's probably many that will want to come, you've travelled around to. The Whitebeard fleet alone is almost a thousand people." That was true, they were just spread out across different boats and islands. And not to mention all the islands they protected. "I think we're going to need multiple islands, yoi." Ace chuckled. "Now we're on the same page. This is why I think we need to start planning, just so we're ready." Marco nodded. "Yeah. And, I don't mean a date, but any thoughts on when? Or, with what kind of atmosphere, yoi." Ace hummed. "Maybe within the next two years? And I would like either summer or autumn. If you say winter, and I might actually break it off." Marco laughed, moving to give a kiss on Ace's cheek. "How about we do it on one of those islands with a combined weather phenomenon? There has to be some that are both summer and autumn, yoi." Ace hummed. "I like that idea. Let me ask around, it has to exist. We just need to hope it's big enough." Marco nodded, looking forward to it. Ace gave a small laugh. "I still find it funny that you thought I would break it off." Marco shrugged. "Didn't know what else it could be, yoi. Being paranoid is normal." Ace nodded, moving to lay back on the bed, legs on the floor. "Yeah, I guess. What kind of ceremony should it be?" Marco hummed, moving to lie down beside Ace, knowing Ace preferred to be on the same level. "I don't know. I honestly don't really belong to a specific religion, yoi. You have any preference?" Ace hummed. "I'm with you on that, but still, I think I fall more in line with the Eastern world. But, how about a mix? Pick the good sides from various ones, but mostly stick with one type." Marco tried to think, coming up blank on Eastern religions. "What kind of religions are they? Or, what kind of ceremony would it be, yoi? How would it go."
Ace chuckled. "Well, first I would get something called Mehndi a day or two before, which is really amazing, it's a kind of ornament for your hands and arms, made for weddings. I pick up other kinds now and then when I drop by, I can show you next time. I think I will drop by them in a few week's time, I regularly visit for something or another. And for the ceremony itself, it would be kind of different from Western religions as we would walk down the aisle together. We would then be sort of crowned, by a specific item by the individuals giving us away, usually the fathers. Compared to Christianity where the bride is extravagantly dressed whilst the groom is in a plain suit, both are dressed in beautiful clothing which have a meaning in themselves, along with ornaments, like the Mehndi. The part after that is normal, we exchange vows, and so forth. I'm not sure on the details of that yet. And after the main ceremony is done, it's food, drinks, dancing and just enjoying ourselves. Oh, we would need to come up with a table plan but that's it. I find the wedding in Eastern religions to be really beautiful." Marco nodded, he agreed, it sounded grand. "Sounds amazing, yoi. I am up for that. I know Pops will be the one to crown me, he's my father, but what about you?" Ace chuckled. "No, Whitebeard would crown me, and whoever is giving me away would crown you. That's the reason I like this version. In Christianity, and many other religions, it's the father who wed off his daughter. The daughter has no choice but to comply, even when they're underage in many places. But, for this one, both of us need to want it, and our families must agree, that's the reason the other family crowns you. It feels better that way." Marco nodded. "Yeah, I like that, yoi. Sounds much better than the other ones. But still, you didn't answer, who would be crowning me?"
Ace hummed. "I think… it would either be Daisuke, or maybe Benn. I've known him for longer than Daisuke actually, and he's been a great help." Marco nodded. "If I can be honest, I think Benn, yoi. I don't completely understand the social dynamics between all of you, but Daisuke feels more like… an uncle." Ace chuckled. "Yeah, maybe you're right. I'm not sure how Shanks would react to that though." Marco hummed. "If he wants the best for you, he won't mind. I'm not the fondest of Shanks, but I like Benn, he's a good man, yoi. I wouldn't mind it. I might not like Shanks, but he's an honourable man." Ace nodded. "Yeah, I think it would be Benn. And we still haven't even told Shanks we're engaged, and now I even need to ask Benn about this too." Marco chuckled. "I don't know them that well, but they will be happy for you, yoi. Especially Benn." Ace nodded. "Yeah. I think so myself. Shall we have this as the plan for now? I think we still should ask Whitebeard. I know Benn will agree with me about having an Eastern ceremony, but I don't know about Whitebeard. For all I know, he might be a Christian. Many feel that way about weddings." Marco tried to think about what he knew and had heard. "I actually don't know, yoi. I have no idea if he's even religious." Ace chuckled. "Everyone is religious in their own way, some more than others." Marco nodded. "True." Both gave a chuckle, Marco hearing Ace giving a breath as he turned a bit on his side, facing towards him. "How about relaxing for a bit? I sure feel like it." Marco nodded. "Yeah, sounds good, yoi." Ace gave a breath. "Also, no matter how much I like it on the boat, after the wedding, I would like to check into a nice hotel for the night, just the two of us. Not sneak into one as we usually do, but actually get a reservation, room service, and eat out the next day... just the two of us." Marco smiled. "I would like that, yoi. I am sure no one would mind it." Ace nodded. "I think so too. It will be nice." Marco hummed. "I can't help but wonder, why did you suddenly kiss me on the cheek that first time, yoi." Ace gave a laugh. "Marco, I'm an assassin, I was raised to read people. I knew from the first time we met that you had your eyes on me." Marco blinked. "I didn't even know myself, yoi." Ace nodded. "Probably, but you still checked me out. And I noticed that." Marco wasn't too surprised by that, seeing how amazing Ace was. He had maybe been checking the other out, he had always thought the other was attractive and found him interesting, based on his work. He was probably attracted to the man from the start, even though he didn't know it himself at the time.
He sat and spoke with Ace for a bit more, before they went to sleep, Marco falling asleep first.

Whitebeard moved out onto deck, and over to Ace when he saw him. "Hello, son. How are you?" Ace gave a nod. "Fine." That was good, and Ace did seem fine. "Everyone is a bit wary of you now, after you hurt both Trevor and Soul." Ace chuckled. "I am used to people being afraid. It will pass. Both deserved it. Soul since he didn't listen, and Trevor since he lied." Whitebeard nodded, he got it. Both had acted wrong. "I get Soul, even though it was gruesome, but Trevor didn't actually lie from what he said, he just didn't tell you something." Ace hummed. "In my book, withholding information is still lying. Especially when it's about Luffy and Sabo." Whitebeard nodded. Ace was overprotective. Not telling was close to lying. "You're very astute, so I guess you already knew that from the start." Ace chuckled. "I'm used to it. It passes. I might hurt Trevor, but I would never hurt the others. They are different, we're a family." Whitebeard was glad to hear that. "Isn't Trevor family now too? He has somewhat joined us." Ace shrugged. "Probably. But I would never view Trevor as a family member, he's a colleague, so the dynamic is different." Whitebeard nodded, he got that. It was different. They had been around each other in very different situations than they would be.
He stood with Ace for a bit more, before Ace got an assignment he needed to leave for, then headed back into his own room. After that, it wasn't long before Marco came and joined him, the two starting up a card game. And as they were playing, Marco spoke. "Actually, Pops, I have a question for once." Whitebeard hummed. "I have a feeling it will either be joyous, or not in my favour. I still remember the question about winter, and no matter what I said, it would end badly." Marco chuckled, moving to put a card down. "No, this is not that. Or maybe, I don't know, yoi. But Ace and I have started to somewhat plan ahead for the wedding ceremony. And we have decided not to go for the usual Christian wedding, and I wondered how you would feel about that. If maybe you would be against it, yoi. I don't really know if you're a religious man." Whitebeard chuckled. "I have no objection to it, son. I was raised as a Christian, but I'm not really a religious man. But now I'm curious. What kind of ceremony would it be?"
Marco smiled as he gave a breath. "It would be more like those within the Eastern religions, not that I really know what kind it is either, yoi. But Ace explained how the ceremony would go. It would start with Ace and I walking down to the aisle together. when we reach the end, we would each go to the other's family, and get crowned by the father of the other, before coming together and giving our vows, yoi. Instead of the father of the bride wedding his daughter off, it's more like the couple agreeing to marry, with the crowning signifying the blessing of the other family, making it more of a mutual, as all agree. Ace said in Christianity, like many others, the bride often doesn't have a choice, but in this, everyone has a choice." Whitebeard nodded. "That's true. I like this idea, Marco. It feels better. But, who would crown you? I assume I will be crowning Ace." Marco nodded. "We haven't decided yet, but I think the choice is between Daisuke and Benn, yoi. Ace is unsure which to pick." Whitebeard nodded. "I can see why he would choose them. Both have been in Ace's life for a long time and had a big part in it." Marco nodded. "Yeah. He said he's known Benn for longer, so I have a feeling it might be him, but I don't know for sure, yoi." Whitebeard nodded. "I see,it seems like Benn has been there for Ace throughout his life." Marco nodded. "Yeah. They've known him since he was young." Whitebeard hummed. "I guess they met him when they met Luffy." Marco chuckled. "Actually, no. They met Ace way before that, through Azuruko." Whitebeard blinked. "They did? I guess he knew Benn through Daisuke, they are siblings after all." Marco nodded. "They've worked with the assassins for a long time, Benn was an assassin before. So, they help out." Whitebeard could understand that. Even the assassins needed some help now and then. "Did you plan anything else?" Marco hummed. "It will happen within the next two years, yoi." Whitebeard nodded. "Sounds good, Marco. I'm glad you've started to plan it." Marco nodded. "I am too. It means a lot that we sort of have a date, yoi."
Whitebeard understood that. It was good that the two had started to plan it, it would likely be a large wedding. "Do you know where you will have it?" Marco hummed. "On some island, or islands. Many people will be coming. Ace has a lot of people who want to come, and then there's the family here, and we have many islands we have helped that would like to come, yoi." Whitebeard nodded. "True, it would mount up so that many would be coming. Ace has certainly made an impression in many places." Marco nodded. "He has. But, so have we, yoi. Many want to join in, I am sure of it." Whitebeard agreed. They had travelled a lot and had many islands under their protection. He had a feeling it was the same for Ace. Maybe, it was not as visible as their protection, but he was certain that Ace had islands under his protection as well. He needed to ask Ace about it some time. He then continued the card game with Marco, Marco winning as usual. He was a good card player. As they started up another game, Whitebeard hummed. "What do you think about what Ace did to Soul and Trevor, son?" Marco chuckled. "Both deserved it from what I've heard. Soul since he didn't listen, and Trevor since he lied. Ace is very strict, yoi." Whitebeard nodded; it did seem like that. He knew he would never hurt them outright, but everyone else was wary of it. "He did seem to scare the others." Marco nodded. "I can imagine, but Ace would never hurt us like that, I am sure of it. We might get a raised voice, I believe, yoi." The captain nodded, that did make sense. Ace probably wouldn't injure them, and from what Trevor had said, a raised voice had more effect when it came from Ace, unlike when others do so, maybe it was accomplished by using Haki. He hoped they would never get on Ace's bad side, but he had a feeling everyone would behave around Ace. They then played another card game, Marco winning again, no surprise there...
And that's the chapter, hope you enjoyed it.
I hope this chapter made sense as I have a feeling Trevor wouldn't lie to Ace, he's too scared to do that. Therefore, he told the truth. Also, I hope Law's punishment and warning wasn't too disproportionate and that the various levels of consequences/punishments made sense.
We'll see a bit more of Law and Luffy in the next chapter.
