Whitebeard looked at his children, who were going about their day normally. Things had been calm the last week, and all of his children had been really nice and including Ace in everything they could, to show he was wanted. He still wanted to speak with Ace, about everything that had happened the last months. He hadn't found the time to do that. Not that he had been able to speak with Marco either, and he wanted that as well.

But when evening came, he headed out as it was a starry night. He found Ace outside enjoying it as well. He then spoke a bit with Ace, before Whitebeard looked at Ace. "Would you like to join me in my room?" Ace chuckled. "How long have you wanted to ask that?" Whitebeard gave a small chuckle "For a while." Ace nodded. "I can imagine. A lot has happened in the last weeks, if not months. I am not surprised you want to talk about it." They then headed to his room, and when they got there, both got comfortable in their own chairs.

When they were seated, Whitebeard looked at his son. "How are you?" Ace hummed. "Fine." Whitebeard sighed. "I don't believe that. I don't believe you're fine. Not only because of what you've been through, but since you almost decided to stay in a place called Hell." Ace sighed. "I would have come back out. I just don't know when. I am getting married next month, I want that." That was true, time was moving by fast. Whitebeard sent a look at Ace. "How are you fine?" Ace shook his head a bit with a sigh. "Because, I've spent a lot of time not being fine. I have. And now, I feel okay. As fine as I can be." Ace then moved a hand to his face. "I so wished we never met Christopher, that you never saw what you did." Whitebeard nodded. "I know and I get that, but we did. And now we need to adapt to that." Ace nodded. "I know. I just wished you didn't know. Because you shouldn't know. It was enough with Izou knowing." Whitebeard nodded. "How did he find out again?" Ace sighed. "Quinn and I worked on this thing, and we somehow fell asleep, together. On the couch in the meeting room. Izou thought I was cheating on Marco with Quinn. Which I was not, and Trevor explained it, that… that I can't do it with a woman, and sometimes not with males." It took him a second, but he soon got Ace couldn't top. That was a bit of a small shock. He would have imagined Ace able to do the other way, but that wasn't the case. Not that he would bring it up. His sexual life was Ace's and Marco's private thing.

Whitebeard then took a breath. "I am glad you and Quinn got over your issues. Or over her issues." Ace nodded. "I am as well. Quinn has been a huge help already, she knows a lot." Whitebeard nodded, that was then decided to steer the conversation back to the topic they had been on, even though Ace didn't seem to want that. "How long would you have stayed in that place?" Ace sighed. "Honestly, I don't know. Maybe a day, or maybe a year. I think maybe a few weeks, since the wedding is soon. I really do want to get married right." That was true, Ace and Marco had married about a year ago. It was a secret to most. "I see. I am just glad you came out willingly." Ace nodded. "I am as well. I just needed… to think a bit." Whitebeard got that. "But it had gone by fine. You came out. Which is the most important." Ace nodded. "Yeah."

Whitebeard then took a breath. "Would you have ever told us what you've been through?" Ace gave a weak chuckle. "No. You didn't need to know that. It was my secret to have." That made sense, but he knew Marco knew, same with Trevor and Mika, and probably the other assassins. Ace had started young and was out with those sick people at such a young age. He decided to let that topic lay down, but had another one he wanted to bring up. "That thing with Baldur-" Ace chuckled "Why did I leave you behind?" Whitebeard nodded and Ace sighed. "Because, if we didn't make it, or if we barely made it, I didn't want everyone to die at once. I didn't want you to see me die." Whitebeard nodded, he did somewhat get that. "We were so worried when we got your message." Ace frowned. "You got it?" Whitebeard nodded. "I believe it was Sanji, who had placed a recorder on Luffy's and Sabo's Den Den. Rayleigh came with it. You said goodbye to everyone." Ace nodded. "I would have called here, but I didn't have the time, I only had one call." Whitebeard got it.

He then looked at Ace with a curious look. "And you don't believe it was a God?" Ace shook his head. "Do you?" Whitebeard nodded. "I do. I believe the serpent and Jinn knew what they were talking about. And they said God." Ace nodded. "I don't believe in Gods." Whitebeard hummed. "I find that amazing after everything. How he managed to heal, how he had only one weakness. How he had a dragon. It fits being a God." Ace chuckled. "I still don't believe in Gods. As I said, I believe there is something out there, but not Gods." Whitebeard nodded. "What do you believe in?" Ace hummed. "I am not entirely sure. But not Gods." Whitebeard nodded. He still believed there were Gods. "How do you feel about the fact you will be old?" Ace hummed. "I think I feel fine. I was scared it would be lonely, as I only had Moira. But then I met Marco. So, it feels a bit easier." That Whitebeard got. He knew Marco didn't like it, but he felt bad for him. For having witnessed every one he loved to die slowly. "I am sure you'll do fine." Ace nodded. "Yeah, I hope so. I have spoken a bit with Daisuke and Moira, and I might be the next one to care for The Red Cloud." Whitebeard nodded. "You would do amazing being their leader." Ace gave a sigh. "Yeah, the others say the same." Whitebeard didn't doubt Ace would be amazing.

"Azuruko was the previous leader, right?" Ace nodded. "Yeah… I was supposed to take over after him… but I just couldn't." Whitebeard nodded. "You were very young then. You're older now." Ace nodded. "Yeah, I am." Whitebeard nodded. "I know you have a lot of burdens and a tough past, even for being so young. but you will do amazing. You handle yourself amazingly after that, and you're such a huge help for others, I've seen that when we helped those children." Ace nodded. "Yeah…" He had a feeling Ace didn't believe that, but it was the truth. Ace was amazing in every way there was. He would accomplish amazing things.

He sat and spoke with Ace for a bit more, before Ace went back to either his room or Marco's, Whitebeard hoped for Marco's. And Whitebeard was looking forward to the day Ace and Marco would marry. It would be an amazing day.

The next month went by fine, nothing special happening aside from small fights, but no one got seriously injured. When they got to the island Ace and Marco would marry on, they were 2 days early, and they started to help fix things for the day. A few were already there, but many would come during the next 2 days, there would be many people coming and he was looking forward to this.

-x-

Ace couldn't believe the day was here. Today was the day he would marry Marco. They had docked on the island 2 days ago and had helped prepare for the ceremony. A few were already there, and the rest came within the next 2 days. There were many people. But as the day started, the clock being 6 in the morning, Ace and Haruta headed off in the morning, so Ace could get his Mehndi, and Haruta her Henna, as last time. The worker even seemed to remember Haruta, but still had a chat with her, before starting the Henna, same with him, seeing as he wanted a Mehndi, and he also said he wanted to include Marco's name on it, which was fine.

When they got back to the boat some hours later, Ace got into his clothing, as it was in his room, Trevor helping him a bit as it had some components. When it was on, he looked at himself in the mirror. He liked these clothes. They looked good on him. Most of the Mehndi was visible, which was good. A bit was still underneath the arms on the clothing, but it was fine. When he was in his clothing, he went and spoke to a few people, before they left for their seats, and Ace got himself ready. He could still see Mike in the mass of people, which was good. It meant no work had come. He liked Mike, so he was glad he was here. He was glad also all the assassins he had invited were here, everyone making it, which was just perfect. Or more than perfect. He never would have guessed everyone would have the time.

He then got ready, and heard the music start, and started walking towards the path up to the altar, and Ace gave a smile as he saw Marco, who was in his clothing, as him, and Ace held his hand out as he walked towards Marco, who moved to do the same and they joined hands when they met by the path up to the altar, Ace then moved with Marco down the altar, walking slowly and giving a look to everyone who had shown up. It was many, they really needed the entire island. When he came to the end of the altar, he let go of Marco's arm, walking over to Whitebeard and crouched down. He didn't need to crouch down, but it was how this was done. He then felt the crown grace his head, before he stood up and headed back to the altar, seeing Marco having gotten his crown by Benn. This was just perfect. When he was in front of the altar, he grabbed onto Marco's arm, walking up to Shanks, who had a huge grin.

The man then started to speak, going through the things until he came to the vows, and looked at them. "You have written your own vows, why don't you start, Marco." Marco nodded, moving both his hands to his. "Ace, I love you, yoi. No matter what, I will be here for you and with you. I will do my best in being the perfect support you need in your life and work, yoi. I can't wait to grow old with you, not that I'm not old now, but finally I have a person to share it with for a long while, yoi I have met many people, but I've never met someone like you. You are my soulmate. I promise to you, that I will be here, and I will do my best to be here, wherever you need me. I will always, no matter what, be here for you. And I am sure, we will have the most amazing support from everyone in the family, everyone will and is supporting us. If we have any issue, I know they will stand up for us, yoi. But no matter what, I will never stop loving you." When Marco was done, Ace saw Marco had tears in his eyes. Yes, this was just perfect.

"And now, you Ace." Said Shanks, and Ace nodded. He moved to hold Marco's hands as well. "Marco, I love you. Through thick and thin, I will be here, by your side, as you have for me. Through my regular days and hard days, you've been by my side. I'm used to being alone, and have for a long while, until I met you. I have walked alone for a long time, but now I am surrounded by family and friends, but more importantly, the man I love, and will love until the end of time. Just 3 years ago, I had 2 brothers and no friends. Now, I have all the family I need, friends in the plenty, and I couldn't be more happy. I've never been a people person, and I never thought I would find someone to love, let alone find a family to belong in. And I know every one of them won't hesitate in helping us should we ever need it. I vow I will do my best in being here for you and for us, to the end of day." Ace was sure they would do good, and he was really glad he had found Marco, who would also grow old, or older than he already were. He wouldn't be alone, he would have Marco.

Ace then turned around, grabbing a plant from the table to their side, moving to hold it out to Marco. "And, not rehearsed, I offer this plant. A red and white Chrysanthemum, its meaning is loyalty and devoted love. Crossbred for this very moment. I want to grow old with you, I want us to be happy, and I devote my love to you." Marco gave a watery smile as he took the plant. Ace loved this moment. He then turned to Shanks, Marco doing the same, to continue this wedding.

Shanks then said a few more words, before he really smiled. "You can now kiss each other and seal the wedding." Ace smiled with that, same with Marco, and they both leaned in and sealed the deal, and when they parted, everyone cheered.

Shanks then said a few more words, before the ceremony ended and they walked down the aisle again, everyone following, before they went to the tables to eat, and it was filled with many good wishes from everyone. This was just perfect. They then ate and had festivities. And Ace really enjoyed himself, and his brothers were really happy for him, Ace even managed to not think about the fact Trafalgar Law was here, even standing close to Luffy. But, the kid looked happy, and that was something. If Luffy was happy, he was happy. The festivities lasted for the entire day and out into the evening, and when it was over, it was almost 4am. Ace then helped those who needed it back to their place, before he and Marco left for a hotel in the New World, on a nice large island, to enjoy themselves. When they got there and got the clothes off, they headed to bed and both fell asleep fairly quickly. It had been an eventful day, and he got that Marco was tired, and he was a bit himself. Now, they would enjoy some days to themselves.

-x-

Marco gave a breath as he felt movement beside him and woke up to see Ace stretching. And as he woke more up, Ace moved to lie on his stomach. "Hi." Marco chuckled. "Hi, yoi. I can't believe we're married." Ace chuckled. "You do know we've been married for over a year, right?" Marco nodded. "True, but now we did it right, yoi." Ace nodded. "Yeah, and we got 2 or 3 days to ourselves." Marco nodded. "We do. I can't wait to enjoy them with you, yoi." Ace agreed on that. It would be good to have a few days to just relax with each other. Ace then moved a hand to Marco's chest. "Should we consummate the wedding? We do need to do that." Marco gave a curious look to him. "We 'need' to do it, yoi?" Ace nodded. "If not, we're not really married." Marco blinked. "Really, yoi?" Ace nodded. "Yes. We can wait, but I feel like doing it now." Marco chuckled. "Then why wait, yoi." Said Marco as he leaned in and kissed Ace.

Half an hour later, Ace moved to lie down beside him, out of breath. "That was nice." Marco nodded, panting a bit himself, moving to lie on his side so he could look at Ace. "It was. So, we have consummated the wedding. Nothing can separate us now, yoi." Ace chuckled "Let's hope for that. I hope we will live happily for a long while." Marco nodded. "Do you know how old I will be, yoi? You seem to know a lot about me." Ace hummed. "I don't know. I think you'll live until something or someone kills you. Have you ever been gravely wounded?" Marco nodded. "Yes, so I know what happens then, yoi." Ace nodded. "That's good. But yeah, don't drown or get shot too bad with seastone, and you're fine. I think drowning is the worst for you. You're still just a devil fruit user." Marco chuckled. "Just. I find it amazing your powers are a Legendarie, yoi." Ace nodded. "I am as well. I love my powers." Marco nodded. "I get that. It truly is amazing."

They then stayed in bed for a while, before they headed out and enjoyed a good day, watching a play, dancing some, and eating out with each meal and just enjoying life, before they headed back to the hotel and ordered some food to their room, where they just relaxed, enjoying each other's company, before they fell asleep around midnight, and when Marco woke up some hours later, Ace wasn't in bed, but he could hear the shower running, and headed to join Ace. When he got to the shower, he stood a few seconds and just enjoyed looking at Ace's body. Ace really was beautiful. It was a scarred body, but he didn't mind that. He then headed over to Ace, a hand moving around Ace's body and leaning in to kiss him on his shoulder. "Good morning, yoi." Ace chuckled, a hand moving to his. "Good morning. Ready for day two alone?" Marco nodded. "Yes, I am, yoi. What should we do today?" Ace hummed. "Well, first, we shower. Then we have breakfast, before we see if we can find another play, and then, we just let the day go by and we try and just have fun." Marco nodded. "I like that, it sounds perfect, yoi." It really did.

They then showered, before they headed out to breakfast, eating at a restaurant that was open this early. This really was perfect. They then had a perfect day out, before they headed back to the hotel and relaxed. When the next day came, they enjoyed it out, and when evening came, they headed back to the boat, and they stayed in the room for the evening. When the next day started, they joined the meeting and while everyone asked how they had been, they just said they had their fun and relaxed, before the meeting started, and things were back to normal. Ace still had no work for a couple days, Mike stepping in. But as a few days had passed, Ace got work again and started to be away now and then. But it was fine. They had had their days together. And they had many more days ahead of them. They both had a lot of duties.

The next week went by fine, and when a week had passed, Ace came into the meeting room giving a groan. "I hate people!" Trevor chuckled. "Nothing new." Ace moved over to the sofa and moved to crash on it with another groan. When he was on the sofa, he looked at Trevor. "Please take over. I'm done with people I don't like." Trevor shrugged. "Sure. Where do I need to go?" Ace held a file up. "Green Horns." Trevor nodded. "Of course. Do I need to leave now?" Ace hummed. "You can wait half an hour. No stress." Trevor nodded. "I'll wait. There is still this meeting." Ace nodded. "That is fine." Ace then moved his hand up. "Continue or start the meeting, whichever it is. I'm here." Whitebeard nodded and started up the meeting again, speaking about what they should do with a situation on one of their islands, what to do with the rebels, he looked over to Ace, who had his eyes closed, looking to be asleep. "Ace?" Ace hummed, making him continue, "What do you think we should do." Ace hummed again. "Kill them." Trevor let out a breath. "You're only saying that since you're annoyed." Ace gave a small shrug, not saying anything. Trevor sighed, moving his hands together. "I think we should head over, speak with them and hear their side, and keep Ace away from them." Ace moved to have a thumb up. "I like that idea." Trevor rolled his eyes. "Of course you do. You don't need to do anything." They then continued the meeting. When half an hour had passed, Trevor went to change for his meeting, Ace going to send him with Dust.

The meeting then continued normally, and after another half hour, Whitebeard looked back over at Ace, wanting his mind on this. And as he spoke up, asking what Ace thought, there was no answer, Ace lying still with his eyes closed. It had Mika sighing. "He probably had a long day. Let him sleep it off." Whitebeard nodded, he would do that. He then asked Mika what she thought, and got a good response from her, before the meeting went along fine. When it was over and they started to leave, it woke Ace up, who moved a hand to his face as he sat up. "The meeting over?" Marco nodded. "Yes, yoi." Ace groaned as he moved to lie back down. "I still feel dead." Mika hummed. "Then go to your room and sleep off the dead." Ace nodded. "Maybe I should." Ace then headed away, most likely to his room, Marco following. He was sure Ace would be fine after relaxing for a bit.

-x-

Marco walked after Ace into his room, watching as Ace moved to fall down on the bed on his back, Marco moving over and lying down on his back too. Ace prefered to be on the same level, especially when he was lying on his back. "How are you, yoi?" Ace sighed. "I feel really tired for some reason." Marco nodded, that he had never heard from Ace before, and he, on instinct, moved a hand to Ace's forehead. "Maybe you're brewing on something, yoi." Ace let out a breath. "Please don't say that! I hate being sick!" Marco gave a comforting look. "I am sure it will be fine, maybe you're just tired." Ace nodded, lying down on his pillow, and Marco moved to lie next to Ace, an arm draped over Ace. He had some time now, his duties weren't for another hour.

Ace did fall asleep, and after half an hour, he woke up with a breath. And Marco gave a smile to Ace. "How do you feel now?" Ace nodded. "Better." That was good and Marco nodded. "Maybe some sleep helped, yoi." Ace nodded. "It did. Never felt like that before." Marco nodded. "You're still growing up, there's a lot you have felt I think. And you've skipped a lot for having the fruit you have. It is bound to happen, yoi." Ace nodded. "Probably." Marco nodded, a question came to him. "How old are you going to get?" Ace hummed. "You mean physically?" Marco nodded, and Ace hummed again. "We believe I can choose it myself. I want to get a bit older, so I don't look like a kid." Marco nodded. "Sounds good. I will love you no matter what, yoi." Ace smiled. "I know. I will too." Marco then leaned in and kissed Ace, and he responded to it and they made out for a bit, before they parted, and Ace smiled. "We will grow old together, and I look forward to it." Marco was as well.

He really had married the perfect guy.
