Hello everyone, here is another chapter!

This is a bit of this and that

Read and relax

Whitebeard sat in the galley with his children, breakfast being now. A few were missing, like Ace, who had left the evening before for something. It wasn't work Trevor had said, but a gathering of sorts. It was half an hour later that Ace came into the galley and he looked to be a bit worse for wear. "Oh no! Bunny! What happened?!" Asked Trevor, and Ace groaned as he sat down at the table. "I got snapped." That had Trevor laugh, and Ace moved his hands to his head. "Please don't laugh! My head hurts!" Trevor shook his head. "That's on you. Who got you snapped?" Ace shook his head a bit. "I don't fucking remember. I think Jerry." Trevor gave a laugh. "Awesome." Izou gave a worried look to Ace. "What is snapped?" Whitebeard had to say he had no idea himself. Trevor laughed. "An alcoholic beverage, from the north, and for some reason, it skipps Ace's powers, so he gets a killer hangover for once." Ace gave a groan. "I hate life!" Trevor shook his head. "No you don't, you hate being hung over." Ace gave a groan, before he looked at Trevor. "Also, does this look chipped to you?" Said Ace as he moved his lip a bit away to show a tooth, which even he could see was chipped. Trevor nodded. "Yeah, like really bad too." Ace nodded, moving a hand to the tooth. "I thought it did." It was somewhat mumbled as Ace had a couple fingers in his mouth, before he jerked his hand, Ace giving a small wince, before he moved his fingers out and he held his chipped tooth. Ace just removed his tooth like it was nothing.

Thatch moved a hand. "Why did you do that! Bay could have fixed it!" Ace hummed, looking at his chipped tooth. "I don't want a fixed tooth, I want a new tooth." Everyone frowned, and Trevor chuckled. "Remember, Ace can regrow teeth." Ah yes, that was true, Ace could do that. Ace nodded and looked at his tooth, before he looked at Trevor. "You want my tooth?" Trevor frowned. "Why, just why, would I want your tooth?" Ace shrugged. "I don't know. You're weird." Trevor snorted. "Not that weird. Toss it in the trash." Ace nodded. "Sure." He then tossed it away and that was the best.

The rest of the meal went by fine, and when it was nearing finish, Thatch looked at Trevor. "Can we try snap?" Trevor hummed. "If Whitebeard let up on the max limit for booze for one night, and everyone promises to be careful and not get too drunk." Thatch nodded. "We can do that." Thatch then looked at him. "Right?" Whitebeard thought for a second, before he nodded. "If everyone behaves, we can." Trevor moved his hands up. "Can we tonight?! Ace can get it!" Whitebeard looked at his children, who looked excited and nodded. "Yes, we can. But everyone needs to behave and be careful." Everyone nodded and said they would. This would be exciting. Ace then got the booze and said they could drink after 8, so not many started too early and then drank too much.

The day went by fine and many were excited for the evening, and when it finally came, everyone slowly started to drink, a few stopped early as they didn't like the taste as it was really strong. Ace did give tips on how to blend it out with other things to make it bearable for those who felt it was too much alcohol. They weren't used to this strength, so it was normal. But as the evening went on, he noticed Ace started to drink, and he wasn't going light to say the least. And when the clock was nearing midnight, Ace moved to take another snap, and it was clear he was way past being buzzed. He actually looked drunk.

Marco looked at Trevor when he spoke, looking at Ace, who was clearly beyond drunk. "So, What's the deal between you, Pelle, and Gloria. They are to be married in 2 days. You act so weird around them." Ace nodded and made a motion for Trevor to come closer to Ace, and when he did, he expected Ace to whisper something, but he spoke out loud. "I had sex with the groom." Marco frowned. Ace had? Trevor frowned too. "What? I can't see that. When was this?" Yes, when was this. Ace chuckled as he took another shot. Maybe they should stop Ace from drinking more. Ace shook his head a bit. "4- or was it 5?- years ago. I was so damn drunk too. You turned me down." Trevor nodded. "Of course! You were drunk!" He got why Trevor had turned Ace down, if he was drunk, he'd have done the same. Sex while drunk was never a good thing. Ace nodded. "Yes, but Pelle didn't care." That was wrong of Pelle in his mind. Trevor hummed. "Cool. Don't tell Gloria, she will freak." Ace nodded. "I won't tell." Well, now he knew that. He midly wondered who else Ace had had sex with, he should maybe ask one day. He just hopes Ace would slow down drinking for now.

Whitebeard watched as Ace took another shot, and it looked like Marco was on his way to stop Ace, when Trevor moved a hand out. "I think you've had enough." Ace shook his head. "No! I haven't!" Whitebeard moved his hand. "I think Trevor is right, son." Ace shook his head. "Nope." And Ace took another shot. Ace then looked at Trevor. "I'm going to feel horrible tomorrow, right?" Trevor nodded. "Oh yeah." Ace nodded and took another shot. "If I'm already going to feel awful, why not drink myself into oblivion for once." Well, Ace was allowed to do that once, but he wasn't sure if Ace actually could get poisoned right now. As he was about to voice that, Jens came into the galley and looked at him. "Hey Pops, there is a ship at the port side-" Ace gave a groan. "Can we just not do port side and barboard side!" Trevor frowned. "What the fuck is barboard side?" Ace lightly shook his head. "I don't know! The other port side!" Trevor snorted. "It is called starboard, Ace. Starboard, star, not bar. Who the fuck says barboard?" Ace moved a hand to his head. "I don't fucking know! I'm drunk!" Trevor rolled his eyes. "Obviously."

Trevor then looked at Marco. "Hey, think this drink skips your powers?" Marco blinked. "I don't know, haven't thought about that, yoi." Trevor gave a huh. "You should try." Marco frowned a bit. "I don't know." Ace waved his hand. "It wouldn't work." Trevor looked at Ace. "How do you know?" Ace rolled his eyes. "Cuz I only heal fast, he can rec… regra- regre-. Trevor! Help me!" Trevor gave a laugh. "Regenerate." Ace nodded. "That!" Ace then gave a breath and looked at Trevor. "I should stop drinking, right?" Trevor nodded. "I think so, but by all means, keep going. I love seeing you fucked up." Ace groaned. "I hate you, Trevor." Trevor chuckled. "You love me." Ace rolled his eyes and stood up. "Imma head to bed." Trevor hummed. "And unless either I or Marco follows you, you can't. In case you trip and fall overboard." Marco stood up with that. "I'll follow him." That was good and he was glad Marco would do that, in case.

As they were gone, Trevor chuckled. "Who liked to see Ace fucked up?" Whitebeard wasn't sure what to think, it was weird to see. Before he could voice that, Trevor looked at Jens. "But before I forget, you said a boat was close?" Jens nodded. "Yes." Trevor gave a hum and stood up. "I'll go check it with you." That was good, and Trevor left to check with Jens, and came back after a few minutes and sat down. "Just some travelers. Nothing to worry about." That was good. Trevor then looked at them. "But back to Ace. Wasn't this fun!" Whitebeard wasn't really sure. Thatch spoke first. "Will he be fine? He looked really drunk." Trevor nodded. "He'll be fine. He's going to hate life tomorrow for a bit, but he'll be fine. He can't get poisoned." Trevor then clapped his hands a bit. "Also, kudos to everyone for not getting poisoned." That was true, everyone had been careful, aside from Ace though.

Izou gave a breath. "That was weird to watch though. I've never seen Ace drunk." Trevor hummed. "No, you have seen him drunk before, just not this drunk. He's usually good at hiding it." Izou blinked. "He's been drunk around us?" Trevor nodded. "About 3 or 4 times that I know of." Izou blinked. "Wow, wow! That is… scary. How did he get so drunk now then?" Trevor grabbed a glass of a shot. "Because of this. Snap forgoes Ace's powers. We don't know why, but it does. I find it funny." Izou frowned a bit. "I find it… weird. That was weird to see." Trevor nodded. "Savor it. Because he does this rarely, because he feels awful. And this is the second night in a row, which is even rarer." That made sense to him, and he looked at Trevor. "How did you find this out?" Trevor hummed. "We tried different drinks one day, and he got so fucked up by this, so we tried again and it worked. We don't know why." Whitebeard nodded, that made sense.

He hoped Ace would be okay tomorrow, even though he knew he would feel awful for a while.

Marco moved to walk beside Ace when Ace leaned on him as they got out of the galley. "I have no idea where I'm headed." Marco looked at Ace. "To your room, yoi." Ace gave a laugh. "I have no idea where that is." Well, he wasn't that surprised, Ace was really, really, drunk. "I'll follow you, yoi." Ace chuckled. "Nice." They then walked, Ace stumbling every now and then. Ace was really drunk. When they got to Ace's room, Ace gave a breath. "My bed! Oh, how I've missed you!" Ace then moved to fall on it, with shoes and everything, which had him frown. "You should undress, Ace." Ace snorted. "I'm not getting up again before I'm sober." Then Ace turned to have his back against him and he sighed. Well, one night wouldn't hurt. He then took his sandals and such off, before he went and laid down next to Ace, who gave a hum and scooted closer to him and turned around. "Hi." Marco could really smell the alcohol on his breath. "Hi, yoi." Ace closed his eyes and gave a small sound. "I'm going to feel so awful tomorrow." Marco gave a small sigh, he was sure of that.

Ace then moved a bit closer and moved his head under his chin and gave a content breath. "This feels nice." Marco chuckled and moved his arm over Ace's body. "It does." It really did. He liked to have Ace close. And Ace would feel so bad tomorrow, and he hoped it wouldn't last too long. Ace fell asleep quickly, and Marco feel asleep after a bit,

When he woke up later, he noticed Ace had moved and was now lying under the blankets, so he moved his hand to Ace's back. "Ace?" Ace gave a small groan, and Marco sighed. "You okay, yoi?" He saw Ace shaking his head under the blankets. "No! I am not! My head hurts! My body hurts! Everything hurts!" Marco gave a small sigh and stroked Ace's back. "You'll be fine, yoi. Right?" Ace gave a small nod with a groan. "Yeah, sure, give me some hours." Marco gave a nod and moved to lie down closer to Ace. "I'll be with you, yoi." Ace gave a small nod. "Okay, that would be nice." Marco was sure of it ,and he wanted to be with Ace. It then sounded like Ace fell asleep again, which was good.

They stayed in bed for a while, Ace just relaxing in silence the first bit, before they started to calmly talk as Ace got better. When it was past noon, they headed out as Ace felt better. Trevor did ask if he felt okay, which Ace said yes to, he felt okay. Marco was just glad Ace was fine, and maybe next time, if there was a next time, he would try this snap.

-x-

Whitebeard sat in the galley as breakfast was now. And as he was eating, Ace came into the galley and he looked nice, he had some nice clothes on, and he wondered why. As he sat down and he was about to ask, Trevor spoke. "Oh, the rehearsal is today?" Ace nodded. "Yes." Whitebeard frowned a bit. "What rehearsal?" Ace hummed. "To someone called Gloria and Pelle, the wedding is tomorrow and the rehearsal is today." Ah, that made sense. Ace then ate some light food, before he left for the rehearsal, saying it would take a few hours, maybe 4, which made sense, rehearsals could take time. The day then went on. The weather was bad, so they stayed in the galley.

But after an hour Ace came into the galley and was laughing ,and Trevor looked at him. "What? Why are you back so early?" Ace sat down and took a breath. "I ruined their wedding. Or wait, no, Jerry did. But I helped." Trevor gave a laugh. "How?" Ace laughed a bit. "I said to Jerry, very silently, that I had sex with Pelle years ago, and he yelled it out, during the practice. Gloria freaked, she broke it off, and ran out." Trevor gave a laugh. "Awesome!" Ace nodded and gave a laugh. "So overreacting." Thatch frowned. "Did she really overreact?" Ace looked at Thatch. "Yes. This was before they were together. It is as if Marco broke it off with me since I did it with Trevor." Thatch blinked. "Well… maybe…" Ace hummed. "Usually, people have a previous life before they meet the one they marry, and that is fine. One has to accept that." They all nodded and that did make sense. Trevor gave a chuckle. "This is still fun." Ace nodded. "Yeah, Gloria also cursed me and my entire bloodline, so yeah, fun." Trevor shook his head. "She always was dramatic." Ace nodded. "True." She might have overreacted a bit, but still.

The next hours went by fine, and when dinner was done, a man came onto the ship and it took him a second but he soon recognized it was Corvo, an assassin as well. He was a nice man. He then had some info for Ace and Mika, and then was around for a bit, and had some tips for them, Corvo was a really nice man. He even had some info about the world which was relevant to them. He was a really nice man and really helpful. Corvo then stayed a bit, before Ace sent him on his way. And then Ace got a request he needed to leave for, and said it might take a week or two, and it was nothing big, it would just take time. It was rare Ace was gone so long at a time, but he was sure Ace had control.

But then, 3 days later when the newspaper came, Haruta blinked when she read it. "Hey Pops, Ace joined a crew…" Whitebeard frowned. "What?" Haruta nodded and handed him the newspaper, and yes, it was an input about this small, but growing, pirate crew that was getting famous for doing stuff, and it seemed like Ace was with them as he was helping them. That was weird. Trevor then asked what it was and he handed the paper to him, and he gave a hum. "Don't tell others, but it is probably an infiltration. Try and keep this low." That would make sense, but why hadn't Ace just said so? Maybe it was to have as few as needed to know? Then a thought entered his mind. What if Ace only was with them for information. No, that couldn't be.

He did decide to carefully ask Trevor. "Trevor, have you ever been to a place just to get information?" Trevor nodded. "Yes, many times. We need it and try to do it so no one notices. Why?" Whitebeard wasn't sure what to say, but after a few seconds, Trevor gave an 'oh'. "I see. You think Ace and us are here for info? Because we're not. It is cool here. A nice calm place where we can have fun." That did make sense, but still, he felt unsure. Trevor did try and say that no, they weren't here for info, and he would try and believe that.

A week later, Ace came back, and when he did, Whitebeard gave a frown to Ace. "We saw you in the news." Ace nodded. "I guessed you did. And?" Whitebeard still had the frown. "How do we know you're here not to go off with the enemy, as you just did. Why help them?" Ace gave a small snort. "Yes, yes. Let me recap that for you and fill in the blanks. I joined you, I became the second commander, and have been for almost 3 years now. I got with Marco, I married Marco, I stayed here for 3 years, just to betray you today. How smart and efficient does that sound?" Whitebeard blinked. That did sound stupid. Trevor chuckled. "Told you." Trevor had. Before he could speak, Ace spoke again. "Also, if you go back now and read the news, you will find out they attacked each other, completely turned on each other and basically wiped themselves out. Oh my, however did that happen?" Whitebeard blinked. How had Ace done that? Trevor gave an amused smile to Ace. "You need to tell me about this. It sounds so fun." Ace nodded. "And it really was too. They trust way too easily."

Ace then hummed. "Also, if I'm going to do an infiltration, I am never, never, there for more than 2 months, that's the longest I've been gone, and I hated life those two months." Whitebeard nodded. "Makes sense." Ace nodded. "Also, if, if, this was an infiltration by me, it means Marco has been in on it, since I married him, which would have meant he was also infiltrating for all this time, just waiting for me, who wasn't even born when he joined. How would that make sense? It wouldn't!" That was actually true. "I didn't think that thought through." Said the captain, and Ace nodded. "Clearly. I find it funny though." Trevor nodded. "I did too. Like, everything you did for them was a lie! And you've always hated it here! Didn't make sense. And, you never speak much since you still can't lie. You never shut the fuck up here." That was also true, Ace was a bad liar, not that he had seen or heard Ace attempt to lie. But based on what he had heard, Ace wasn't good at it. Which was surprising, but it was as Trevor had said that one time, Ace rarely had to lie since he wasn't afraid of anyone. He could probably take on anyone and everyone, he was sure of it. He hoped he would never be in a place where he was up against Ace in a real fight.

The next weeks went by fine, and as they were having their usual meeting, Ace came into the meeting room and sat down with an annoyed breath and looked at Trevor. "I hate life." When Trevor looked at Ace, he laughed. "Oh no! You're blind again!" Whitebeard blinked but looked at Ace, and yes, his eyes were grey. Ace was blind. "What did you do?" Asked the captain, and Ace huffed. "I used my arrows too much." Whitebeard blinked. "How does that make you blind?" Trevor gave a hum. "Ace can make arrows with his powers that basically disintegrate everything it touches, but it takes a lot." Okay, that made sense and made him curious. Ace's powers were so much. Ace moved and leaned on his hand which had it's elbow on the table. "I hate this." Trevor hummed. "You know you can't do that too much." Ace sighed, but nodded. Izou then spoke. "Can you use your powers now?" Ace hummed. "I can still teleport and do small things, but it takes a lot and makes me blind for longer. So I will try not to." That made sense, and he hoped this would pass fast.

Trevor then chuckled. "This is the second time in half a year. You need to be more careful." Ace rolled his grey eyes. "It's not my fault! I feel like my limit is less now, which feels weird. I would have guessed it would be better." Trevor shrugged. "Maybe you've just used different powers. It is rare you go full arrow." Ace gave half a nod. "Well yeah, but still. This sucks." It probably did for Ace. He was curious about this arrow power, but if it took a lot, he was sure he wouldn't see it unless it was absolutely necessary, which he kind of hoped wouldn't happen, as it meant they really needed Ace's help to beat something or someone.

They then started the meeting, which went by fine and they went on with their day. It was nice weather outside. And he kept an eye on Ace, and it was amazing to see how he walked so confidently still, even though he was blind. But it was as Trevor had said last time, Ace had a very good Haki and he could use Dust. This only lasted 2 days, which was good. When Ace was back to normal, he got work again, as he had not taken any since he was blind.

The next week went by fine, and when they had their next meeting, he was about to speak, when Trevor spoke, looking at Ace. "Why are you crying?" Whitebeard blinked and turned to look at Ace, who indeed was crying. What had happened? Ace moved his hand and dried his cheeks. "I'm not crying!" Trevor snorted. "No, it is not like tears are going down your cheeks." Ace gave a look through red eyes. "I am not! They are trying to murder me by burning. My eyes!" Whitebeard felt worried, not sure if that was a cover story or not. Trevor snorted again. "Well, seeing how your voice is normal and not breaking, you're not really crying. You're one of those with crying voices when you cry." Ace nodded. "Yes! I am not crying!" Trevor moved a hand. "Okay, okay, I believe you. How long has this been a thing?" Ace shook his head a bit as he dried his tears. "Since I was blind." Trevor gave a huh. "Cool."

Ace then gave a small laugh. "Also, this almost happened at a meeting I had two days ago. I felt it happening and was like 'No!' inside my head, so I just gave a weak excuse and left." Trevor nodded. "Why does this happen?" Ace shrugged, moving a hand to dry some stray tears. "Beats me. Once a day, usually at the evening or night, they scream 'Murder Ace!' And it hurts, so my eyes start tearing up." Trevor nodded. "Cool. Maybe have Bay check it?" Ace gave a look to Trevor. "I don't need Bay." Trevor moved his hand. "Fine, let your eyes cry and burn for all I care." Ace sighed. "Fine! I will go to Bay, tomorrow." Trevor hummed. "Imma join you though. Just in case you bail." Ace rolled his eyes. And then blinked a few times, and then it looked like it stopped. "Okay, there, I'm good."

They then started and finished the meeting, which went fine, and when it was done, the day went by fine. When the next day came and he saw Ace out around noon, he asked if he had been with Bay, which he nodded too. "Yeah. Just apparently some dry eyes. Probably why I've felt they can take less. Got some eye drops." That was good, that it wasn't anything worse, and it did make sense.

The day then went on, and when there was dinner, Thatch spoke about some recipe about burgers, which had Ace give a hum. "You should use a glass to make a hole in the middle of it and put an egg there, and when you cut into it, it is a perfect mix of yolk and burger." Thatch blinked. "That sounds amazing." Ace nodded. "It is." Thatch nodded. "You wanna help in the kitchen one-" "No!" Sad Trevor. "No no no! Ace can't make food!" They all frowned, and Ace gave a breath. "I stab one person, and suddenly I am moody." They all blinked, Thatch speaking. "You… stabbed someone since they didn't like your food?" Ace rolled his eyes. "It's not my fault he doesn't have taste." Trevor sighed. "He simply said 'this doesn't look appetizing'." Thatch blinked. "What did it look like?" Trevor gave a breathless chuckle. "Again, I don't want a moody Ace." Ace rolled his eyes again. "I am not that bad!" Trevor nodded. "Yes, yes you are. He almost died." Ace gave a breath. "Not my fault his neck was the closest thing." Thatch blinked. "You stabbed someone in the neck and he almost died, just since he didn't like your food?" Ace shrugged. "Again, he didn't have taste." They all blinked. "When was this?" Asked the captain, and Trevor hummed. "About 3, almost 4, years ago." That wasn't that long ago.

Ace sighed. "You make me sound like this insane moody person." Trevor lifted an eyebrow. "You are an insane moody person at times." Ace gave a look to Trevor. "I am not!" Trevor hummed. "Shall I remind you of the time you legit left a meeting because they wore the wrong color?" Ace rolled his eyes. "It's not my fault they suck." Trevor nodded and looked at them. "Ace is a real moody person at times. And you don't want to see Ace moody, it sucks." Whitebeard nodded slowly. "Is it that bad?" Trevor nodded. "Yeah, but it is not that often anymore, it was worse before. When he was younger." Ace shrugged. "Again, it's not my fault people suck." Trevor rolled his eyes. "You're such a child at times. It is a bit cute, but also scary." That he could see, and he hoped they would never see a moody Ace.
