Hello everyone, here is the next chapter

This is a bit of things

Hope you enjoy

Read and relax

Whitebeard frowned as he tried to make sense of this. They had docked at one of their islands a bit ago, heading there since he got a whiff of some issues here with a girl kidnapped 3 days ago, and had headed there. There was this one person who had been tied up and and taken along with the girl, a man called Lanik, but he didn't know much as he had been tied up for 5 days, and had been found some days ago. What did help a bit, was how they had taken some pictures so they could look at the scene and got the story from the guy who was kidnapped.

As they were discussing what to do and where to look, the door opened and the assassins came in, who had been gone for a week now. Soul was also with them, probably having joined them and then wanted to relax a bit here. He didn't mind to be a sort of resting place for some assassins and informants. As they came in, Ace asked what was happening, as they were all in the meeting room, and he was updated on the situation.

When he was updated, Ace took one look at the pictures, before he spoke. "He's lying." Whitebeard frowned. "How do you know? He was beaten up, he was tied up for days." Ace nodded. "Which is how I know he's lying." Whitebeard frowned more. "How? There is a girl kidnapped now, this is our only witness." Ace sighed, looking at Trevor. "You got it?" Trevor nodded. "Yup." Ace nodded. "Go get him." Ace then grabbed a few pictures and showed them to Soul. "What's wrong here?" Soul frowned. "I- I don't know." Ace let out a hum. "If you can't see what's wrong, you're going to be demoted, just so you know." Soul blinked, looking shocked, before he looked at the pictures with a concentrating look. He got that he didn't want to be demoted.

After a minute, Soul let out a breath. "I don't get- wait. He was held up for 5 days?" Whitebeard nodded, still not sure what Ace and Trevor saw, and most likely Soul too. Soul then looked at Ace. "Where's the bathroom?" Ace nodded. "There you go. You got it." Whitebeard frowned. "Bathroom? He couldn't go, he was tied up." Ace nodded. "And I can imagine he managed to hold it for max 2 days, which is hard. But he was held for 5 days here, tied up the entire time. So, where is the bathroom? He must have gone at one time at least." That did make sense and he looked at the pictures, and the scene was clean, very clean. That actually didn't make sense. How had they not noticed that?

Trevor then came into the room with the man, Lanik, who gave a breath. "What now? I've told you everything." Whitebeard was about to speak, when Ace did. "No, you haven't. Do you know who I am?" Lanik frowned. "Probably a commander or some shit." Ace gave a small chuckle. "You'll soon know who I am." Ace then looked at Trevor. "Number between 1 and 9." Trevor hummed. "4." Ace sighed. "You picked the boring one." Trevor blinked. "Wait no, it should be tongue." Ace shook his head. "You picked the look." Trevor crossed his hands. "You always change it, in my mind, if I have counted right, 4 should be tongue." Trevor shook his head. "It is not. Well well, we can make do." Whitebeard wasn't sure what they were speaking about, but Ace then turned to Lanik, who had sat down and moved his hand to the man's chin and made him look at Ace. And that had him understand, Ace was going to do his look.

Ace looked at Lanik. "One chance, where is the girl?" The man did look a bit unsure and swallowed. "I- I don't kno-" Ace tightened his grip a bit, and he felt a dangerous aura coming from Ace. "Where is the girl? One. Chance." That had the man blink and look unsure, and Trevor spoke. "He will legit murder you, before we search this entire island. And you have one chance to not die. Of course, if the girl is fine that is." Lanik opened his mouth, before he closed it and swallowed, before he tried again. "House on West Street, don't hurt me. Please." Ace nodded and let go and looked at Trevor, who left. It had him impressed. Ace was amazing and could with a look make someone spill things. Ace then looked at the man. "Is she hurt?" Lanik shook his head. "N-no. If she is, I didn't do it." Ace nodded. "Good."

The man did try and leave, but Ace kept him behind, before Trevor came some minutes later. "She's fine, just scared. Back with her family." That was good. Lanik looked at him. "And my brother? The man with her?" Trevor hummed. "Oh, he died." Lanik blinked. "What! No! You can't just kill him!" Trevor gave a look. "He kidnapped a child and was very rude. You should be glad you're alive." Lanik swallowed, and he was sure he knew that was right, before he was let go, of course, after being warned to never do this again, if he did, he would die.

When he was gone, Izou looked at Ace. "What was the number thing?" Ace chuckled. "Each number has a method to get information from someone. I have a one to 15 too, but the easiest one is up to 9." They nodded and Thatch spoke. "What are the things?" Ace hummed and looked at Trevor. "You wanna guess?" Trevro shook his head. "I am apparently off, so no." Ace nodded. "Understandable. The 9 things are, in this order right now: fingers, arm, tongue, look, teeth, ear, leg, toes, eyes." It had Trevor blink. "Oh, I am one off." Ace nodded. "Apparently." Thatch blinked. "Could you… elaborate?" Ace hummed. "No. I won't." They all nodded, and he was curious on what the things were, but it was probably all bad things. But now, things were fine here, which was good.

They then stayed at the island for a while, before they left, and after a week, the weather got cold, before it started to snow some days later. And when their weekly meeting was due, Izou gave a small shudder as he came into the meeting room. "I hate the snow at times." Whitebeard agreed, the snow could be a pain, especially when they were sailing. It could be nice on islands. Trevor frowned a bit. "You don't like the snow?" Whitebeard shook his head a bit. "Not always." Trevor nodded. "We can fix that." Whitebeard frowned. "Fix it? How can you fix the weather?" Trevor hummed. "I can't, but Ace can." Whitebeard blinked. "He can?" Trevor nodded. "Yes, let's just wait for him." Whitebeard nodded and would. When Ace came a bit later, Trevor looked at him. "Can you fix the snow?" Ace hummed, and Whitebeard expected Ace to be confused, but Ace nodded. "Sure, I can do that." Whitebeard blinked. "How? How can you do that?" Ace shrugged. "I am amazing." Ace then lifted his hand and snapped his fingers and nodded. "There, no more snow." They all blinked and Izou moved to the window and looked out and looked shocked. "It stopped!" Ace nodded. "Yes, it did. I can fix the weather. I can't make it cloudy, but I can make things stop or make it clear." That was astonishing. "But how?" Asked Thatch, and Ace hummed. "As I said, I am amazing." That was true.

They then started the meeting, and when it was over, nothing special coming up, Izou looked at Ace. "Can you make it sunny?" Ace nodded. "Sure. Although, that will make it colder, do you want that?" Izou shook his head a bit. "No, I don't like the cold that much." Ace nodded. "Agree." He knew Ace didn't like the cold. And many were with him.

The cold stayed for some days, but there was no more snow. He guessed Ace used his powers to destroy the snow above them, as he could faintly see it snowing a bit away. It was amazing. This would keep snow from piling up and needed to be shuffled away. He would be sure to remember this. They then got to warmer weather, and when they had their next meeting, Ace got a piece of paper from Dust, most likely some work.

But Ace read the note, before he burst out laughing, and they all looked at him, Trevor speaking. "What?!" Ace moved to give him the piece of paper, and Trevor gave a laugh himself, which had him curious. "What is it?" Ace laughed a bit more, before he took a breath and took the note back. "Okay okay, listen to this; Hi- I love it when they start with hi, like 'hi I am your friend'- I'm to be wed in a week's time, and my future mother in law is a pretty woman, and I am scared she will upstage me, so, could you like fix this?'" Whitebeard blinked. "What?" Ace chuckled. "Imagine being so petty you want to kill a person for this." That was really petty. "What will you do?" Asked Thatch, and Ace hummed. "I know where to find this mother in law, and I'm going to find her, going to take her shopping, find the most beautiful dress, before I fix her hair and makeup, and send her to this wedding to upstage this bride. Why? Because I can." Whitebeard was a bit worried at the start, unsure if Ace actually would kill this woman, but he wouldn't, and would make this bride's wedding worse, which she did deserve. Ace chuckled. "Might even have Ann join, just to have 2 to upstage her." That sounded good. This bride deserved that.

They then got through the meeting, and Ace left to change to Ann, before she went to find this woman to upstage the bride. When Ann came back, she said that she got the mother to a safe place, to look like she was dead, before they went to upstage the bride next week. And when next week came, and the wedding was done and Ace came back, he said it was really fun. The bride had lost it, and the mother had told her son about what she tried to do, and broke it off. Which was good. That woman sounded demented. Wanting to kill someone because of that. The next few days went by fine, and then came a day when Ace got a lot of work, all was very quick, but he got 4 assignments in one day.

When the evening came and Ace returned and they were in the galley eating supper, Trevor looked at Ace."So, Bunny, how was your day?" It happened Trevor asked how Ace's day had been. Ace hummed. "It was fine. First, I helped a woman find her missing child, the child was fine. Then I helped this woman escape from this place, it went fine. Then I helped this man who wanted to know how his brother was, and I found him and he was in good shape-" Whitebeard blinked as Ace moved his eyes a bit and blinked, which had Trevor moving his hand. "No! You just lied! He was dead!" Ace gave a swear. "I want to be able to lie!" Trevor hummed. "Tough luck." Thatch blinked. "That was actually horrible." Trevor nodded. "We've said Ace can't lie." That was true, but that was actually really bad. Ace crossed his hands. "I want to be able to lie!" Trevor chuckled. "That boat has sailed." Ace sighed. "I know, and I hate it." Trevor chuckled. "Ace always tries a lie now and then, but fails." It was weird to see, Ace was so amazing at everything, but he couldn't lie. It didn't really fit.

Trevor then hummed. "Also, Ace might not be able to lie, but he is a living lie detector though." Ace chuckled. "That is true. I know all the tells, I just can't do it myself." That was also weird. He would have guessed Ace would be a good liar, but that wasn't the case. But then again, even if it was bad news, Ace could handle it. Ace was strong and amazing. Ace hummed. "One day, I will get one through." Trevor chuckled. "Never. But was he dead? Or just injured?" Ace hummed. "Was badly injured when I found him, then he died so I could deliver a last message." Trevor nodded. "Cool. I love that you can't lie." Ace sighed. "I hate it." Whitebeard got that. But it was okay too. Now he had seen Ace attempt to lie, and it was really bad.

The next weeks went by fine, and when they docked next, it was at the island where the second children they had helped were. And when they were in the galley after leaving, glad the children were fine, Rakuyo gave a breath. "I am so glad we can help, I feel so bad I didn't know about Sumiko when she was gone. What if Ace hadn't checked?" They all nodded, and Trevor looked at Ace. "What was she again? Prisoner?" Ace shook his head. "No, Lolita." Trevor hummed. "So, lucky then." Ace nodded and Rakuyo blinked. "Lucky?! She was not! She was taken!" She had been, so he didn't get how Trevor could say that either. Ace leaned a bit forward and looked at Rakuyo "Look at me." Rakuyo did, and Ace gave a serious look. "I've seen what people can do, I've seen what some do, what horrors they can come up with. Hell, I've been at the hands of many of them. She was just chained and told to sing and dance for the marines. She was lucky." Rakuyo swallowed, before he nodded. "Okay." Whitebeard knew Ace knew what he was speaking about, and she probably had been lucky. Ace not only had seen a lot, but he had been through a lot too.

Ace then hummed. "Also, that is unfair. It is always women and girls who are lolitas, not boys and men, so discriminating." Trevor chuckled. "You're just mad and annoyed, since you never got let off that easy." Ace nodded. "But it is unfair." Trevor nodded. "Well, yeah, but still. I never actually got that. Males are cute too." That was true, why was that? He didn't know much about this, and didn't feel this was an appropriate question, so he didn't ask why that was.

The next few days went by fine, and when they docked on a neutral island, they spent some time at the dock, it was a nice island, they had been here before. But as they were on the dock, Whitebeard frowned as a man came and he looked to have been in a fight. Ace looked at the man. "Are you okay?" The man sighed. "I just got punched since my name is Mark." Whitebeard blinked. That was a weird reason to punch someone. He was about to ask why he got punched because of that, when Ace spoke again. "That's… That's going to… leave a Mark." Whitebeard blinked. Ace said what? Trevor started laughing and almost fell to the ground as he was laughing. Mark gave a look to Ace, before he lifted his hand. "You know, I like you, you're funny." Ace gave a chuckle, and Mark left, and when he had, Ace looked at Trevor. "I'm funny." Trevor chuckled. "You have your moments. But mostly, you're scary." Ace rolled his eyes. "I am not that scary." Trevor lifted an eyebrow. "You are, Ace. You are. Everyone is terrified of you." Ace gave a small hm. "I don't actually mind it." Trevor nodded. "I know. Even I like to be scary at times." Whitebeard could understand that, some should be scared, but he had a feeling Ace scared most he was around. Ace could be really terrifying. Ace was a person with many talents to say the least, especially seeing his age. Before he knew Ace, he would never have guessed he was an assassin or that he was the amazing Ace of Spades, but he fit as it as well, even though he was young.

They then enjoyed the time at the island, nothing special happening. When they had their next meeting, there was a knock at the door, which made the captain frown, not many disturbed them when they were in meetings. He gave a come in, and saw Violet at the door. "Violet, what brings you here?" The woman looked at Ace. "Ace got a letter. I'm not sure how important this is." Ace blinked. "Wait. I got a letter letter? Not Dust?" Violet nodded, and Ace held his hand out and Violet delivered the letter to him. He got why she was unsure, as this was Ace. As Ace had it, he looked at Violet. "Also, most likely, it won't be this important if it is a letter letter, people use Dust." Violet blinked. "Oh, okay, makes sense. Sorry for disturbing." Ace shook his head with a smile. "No worries." Violet then left and Ace opened the letter and read it with a hum. "Just a thank you for something I did last week. Nothing big." That made sense.

They then got through the meeting, and as it was almost over, Ace got an assignment, which would take some days. As Ace was gone and had been for three days,Trevor came from around a corner, a guitar in hand, which had Thatch look at the other. "What's with the guitar?" Trevor gave a smile. "I have just found a song Ace made, for you guys, and I've spent 2 hours learning it, and I want to sing it." The captain blinked. "Ace made a song for us?" Trevor nodded "Yes! And it is awesome!" That was interesting. "Why can't you have Ace sing it?" If Ace made it, he should sing it. Trevor hummed. "Nope, Ace isn't like that, he enjoys making songs and most never gets sung. I just want you to hear this as it is a perfect song for you guys." Whitebeard nodded and he was curious about this. "Okay, what is the song?" Trevor smiled and leaned on the railing and started to play the guitar, before he started to sing.

"Hey Brother, there's an endless road to re-discover. Hey Sister, Know the water's sweet but blood is thicker. Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do. Hey Brother, do you still believe in one another? Hey Sister, do you still believe in love I wonder?" Whitebeard blinked. That sounded like an amazing song, had Ace really made this? Everyone seemed shocked, and he was himself, this song was perfect. Trevor then continued. "Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do. What if I'm far from home? Oh Brother I will hear you call. What if I lose it all? Oh Sister I will help you out! Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do."

Trevor then ended the song, before he looked at them. "So, what do you think?" Whitebeard wasn't sure what to say. "Ace made this?" Trevor nodded. "Yes. He did. I just wanted you to hear it." Well, he was glad about that, that song was amazing. Thatch moved his hand a bit. "I really liked that!" Trevor nodded. "Yes. I was first like 'oh, Ace made a song for Luffy and Sabo'. But then I read sister and was like 'This is for you guys!', and I got excited and learned it." Thatch blinked. "Amazing. Can we use it?" Trevor nodded. "Sure, this needs to be a song you know." Whitebeard agreed on that, this song was perfect for them. Mika gave a hum. "However, Ace won't like the fact you did this." Trevor waved his hand at the woman. "Nah, I can handle Ace." Mika shook her head, and Whitebeard had a feeling Ace wouldn't be the happiest, there was a reason he hadn't sung it. He sent a look at Trevor. "Do you think he would have ever sung it?" Trevor hummed. "Nah, he likes to make them, and most never get sung before people."

That made sense, Thatch then looked at Trevor. "Also, why does the song include 'waters sweet but blood is thicker'? Doesn't that mean that blood family is better than like, us?" Trevor hummed. "No. The full quote is: 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.' The original meaning of the phrase was blood shed on the battlefield creates a stronger bond between soldiers than simple familial or genetic ties. Basically that blood is not important, other friendships are. Like what you guys are." That was actually something he didn't know, but had heard it but also interpreted it the same way Thatch had. That was amazing. Marco frowned a bit. "Wait, that isn't general knowledge? I thought everyone knew that, yoi." Trevor nodded. "It is not. Just like Jack of all trades, master of none quote." Thatch blinked. "Wait, that's not the full quote?" Whitebeard also didn't know that and was curious on what the full quote was. Trevor hummed. "Full quote is 'a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.'" Thatch blinked. "Wow." Trevor hummed. "One more is, Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back." Thatch moved his hands. "Why don't I know this!" Trevor shrugged. "Many don't. Things are lost in translation." That was probably true.

Trevor then did his work of teaching those who knew how to play a guitar how to do the chords, before he taught them the lyrics, and it was an amazing song. They really did need to know this song. Ace was also due to return either tonight or tomorrow. Ace didn't return this day, so when the next came, Ace came out on deck, and Whitebeard was about to bring up the song, when Ace looked at Trevor. "Why is my room in disarray again?" Trevor lifted his hand. "Okay! I put everything back to its place! How the fuck was it in 'dissarray'?" Ace hummed. "You saw the purple octopus? I got it from Luffy, it is on the small shelf. It was like 30 degrees wrong." Trevor blinked and held his hand up. "That is like this much! How the fuck!" Trevor then gave a size with his fingers, and that really wasn't much. Ace shrugged. "I have it the right way. You moved it." Trevor sighed. "I knocked it over and placed it back. Apparently wrong." Ace nodded. "It was facing forward, not to me in my chair. Therefore, the wrong way." Trevor shook his head. "You're insane!" Ace shook his head. "No, I am not. But back to the fact you were in my room. Why were you in my room?"

Trevor smiled. "I found the song you made for them!" Ace sighed. "You're not supposed to go through my things, Trevor." Trevor shrugged. "Don't care. I didn't look at the important stuff. Just the songs." Ace rolled his eyes. "And let me guess, you sang it?" Trevor hummed. "Not only that, I taught them it." Ace sighed. "Why?" Trevor blinked. "Eh, Ace, it was a song about them, they need to know it. And they loved it!" Ace sighed, and he decided to speak and looked at his youngest child. "It was quite amazing, son." Ace sighed again. "Well, that's good. I guess it is okay." That was good, it truly was an amazing song.

Trevor then chuckled. "They were also confused by the 'water's sweet but blood is thicker' part." Ace frowned. "What's there to be confused about?" Trevor chuckled again. "They didn't know the full quote." Ace looked confused. "Wait, people don't know that?" Trevor moved his hand. "Apparently not." Ace gave a 'huh'. "Weird. People are weird. You are weird." Trevor nodded. "They also didn't know Curiosity killed the cat," Ace continued. "But satisfaction brought it back." Trevor nodded. "Yup." Thatch moved his hand. "I've only heard Curiosity killed the cat as a saying to not be curious or snoopy." Ace lightly shook his head. "But it is not. It is to be curious and snoopy, because it will bring you back." Thatch shook his head. "My life is a lie." Ace chuckled. "Nah, just some of it." Thatch nodded, and looked at Ace. "But that was an amazing song. I loved it. We loved it. It is now our new family song. Well, the first one, but yeah." Ace hummed. "Well, that's good, that you liked it." Thatch nodded. "You got any other song?" Ace hummed. "Not right now." That was fine, and he hoped Ace would make more songs they could hear, as he had a feeling Ace was amazing at making songs.

The next few days went by fine, Ace got a lot of work, not long ones, but many. And when they had their meeting, Ace fell asleep at the table halfway through. He guessed Ace needed a small energy boost. But as Ace was asleep,Trevor gave a small hum. "I don't know if you know, but this is rare." Whitebeard frowned. "What?" Trevor made a motion to Ace "This, him sleeping around you." Thatch frowned. "Why is that rare?" Whitebeard didn't get it himself. Trevor gave a small chuckle. "You've seen a bit of what he's been through. He has huge, huge, trust issues, sleeping makes you vulnerable, but yet, he does it around you guys. That is a huge sign he trusts you." Whitebeard blinked, but that did make sense. That was amazing, Ace trusted them to sleep around them. It made him feel good, and he could see the others felt the same. He had never given Ace falling asleep around them much thought. He probably should have, as Ace did have trust issues, which he got. Ace had been through a lot. He was glad Ace trusted them. Ace did have trust issues, which was no surprise based on what they had seen, and he was sure there was much more than what they had seen. They then continued the meeting, not doing the important stuff, before Ace woke after about 10 minutes, and they continued it with Ace, before Ace went to do some more work. He hoped it wouldn't be too much, so Ace got the chance to relax. But for now, things were fine for them.
