Marco walked into Ace's room and saw him going through his wardrobe, probably to find something to wear to the funeral for Mike later today. "You okay, yoi?" Asked Marco, and Ace nodded. "Yes." He said with a short tone, before Ace gave an upset sound as he moved away from the wardrobe to his bed and took out a box that had some shoes in it. "I just need to find something to wear, and I can't find the right outfit!" Ace sounded frustrated. But Marco had a feeling it wasn't since he was annoyed or mad.

Marco took a step inside the room, and as he had, Ace seemed to give up on the shoes and went back to the wardrobe and went through some clothes. "I don't get why I can't just find what I need to find. Why must everything be so fucking complicated!" Marco blinked. "Ace, you don't need to be perfect, yoi." Ace shook his head as he grabbed a shirt. "It needs to be good enough! And nothing is!" Ace grabbed another shirt as he tossed the one he had inside the wardrobe. Marco moved over to Ace and moved a hand to his shoulder. "It's okay, yoi. You'll find something." Ace gave a huff as he grabbed another shirt, and Marco thought Ace could maybe use some time to sort this out, and took a step back, going to see if Ace might need some help with his paperwork. He knew Ace didn't need help, and he could do something while Ace found what he needed, as Marco felt he shouldn't leave, but didn't know why he felt that.

As he moved to look over the papers on Ace's desk, he blinked when he heard a small thud and turned his head to see Ace had moved to sit down on the floor, the shirt he was now holding was up against his face as Ace seemed to cover his face, shoulders slightly shaking. Marco stood up. "Ace, yoi?" Ace shook his head as he spoke, sounding like he was holding back tears. "I don't want to go to this funeral." Marco blinked, before he was next to Ace and moved to crouch down, moving his hand to Ace's back. "Why not?" Ace sniffled a bit. "I don't know. Makes it more real I guess." Marco nodded. "I get that. But not going doesn't make it less real, yoi. What not going will do is make you regret not going. Not going won't bring him back. I know you're upset and sad about Mike's death, but not going won't make it easier. I think it will make it worse, yoi."

Ace shook his head a bit, before he gave a sob as he moved his head to his chest as he sobbed. Marco moved his hand to Ace's back and comforted him, giving out words of comfort the best he could. After a bit, Ace seemed to calm down, not sobbing more at least, but still leaning on him. After a minute of that, Ace spoke up carefully. "Marco, can I ask you something?" Marco nodded. "Of course, yoi." Ace sniffled. "Could you join? For, I don't know, moral support." Marco blinked, before he nodded. "If I am allowed to, of course I will go with you, yoi." Ace leaned a bit back and looked at him with tear tracks down his face and upset eyes. "You would?" Marco nodded and gave a comforting look as he moved his hand to Ace's cheek. "Of course I would, yoi. I want to support you." Ace gave a thankful look.

Marco then stroked Ace's cheek with his thumb. "Now, let us find you some clothes to wear. Then I will as well, yoi." Ace nodded and stood up, and Marco helped find something, before Marco went and got what he needed. When they were ready, Ace dried his face and took some breaths, before he seemed more collected. They then headed out to get Trevor and Mika as well, as they were joining as well and Ace would take them.

When they got outside and to the main deck, where Mika and Trevor already were, dressed ready for the funeral as well. Marco did feel many send looks at him, as Marco basically never went in something else than his usual clothes. Now he had on a black shirt and pants, as well as actual shoes and not his sandals. When they got out and were close to Mika and Trevor, Ace spoke. "Hopefully Daisuke won't mind Marco joining." Trevor hummed. "Spoke with him a bit ago, I told him Marco might join, and it was fine." Marco gave a small smile. Trevor really did know Ace well, and Marco was glad Trevor made it so he was allowed to join. At times, he felt that Trevor was jealous of the relationship Marco had with Ace, but Trevor allowed him to be there for Ace as well, even when it wouldn't be weird Trevor said Marco couldn't join.

They then left with the help of Ace and they were with a large open space, a bonfire in the middle of the area, and Ace said they didn't have Mike's body, as his family had it to bury him and honor him the way they remembered him. They did have some stuff of his and would use that, to send him off the assassin and mercenary way as well. When everyone was here, they would light the bonfire, let it burn a bit in silence, before they would say some words.

Marco could see many people here, some he knew, but most he didn't. He did recognize a few from wanted posters he had seen, and inputs as being assassins and such. It wasn't long after they lit the bonfire and he could see many around that looked upset. Ace seemed to be in his work mode, which Marco didn't quite get why. He felt Ace should be mourning now. Marco made sure to be close, and when Ace was up to say a few words, Marco stayed a bit to the side. He didn't want to be too close to people he didn't know well, and he brealy knew people here.

As he was a bit to the side while Ace spoke, Trevor came over. "When we're back at the boat, take Ace to his room, or your room, I don't care. Somewhere private so he can let it out and mourn." Marco nodded. "Why don't he now, yoi?" Trevor sighed. "Look around. This isn't a really private event. Had it only been us close ones, not everyone, he would have mourned now. But since they are all here, Ace can't afford to show weakness. We're not too sure of everyone, if they might leave or use stuff against us. If Ace shows weakness now, it might be used against him." That made sense. Marco nodded. "I see. I will, yoi. Thanks for notifying me." Trevor shook his head. "It's nothing."

As Ace had spoken, Ace came down and moved over to him and Marco gave a comforting and reassuring look to Ace, and Ace gave a small smile back, before Ace moved to stand beside him. While Marco wanted to hug or hold Ace's hand, he wasn't sure that would be the best right now, based on what Trevor just said. If Ace wanted to hold his hand, Ace would need to instigate that. Ace didn't, and that was fine. Marco was at least here.

When it was time to leave, Ace gave a goodbye to those he wanted to say goodbye to, they left. And when they were back, Marco noticed they were in Ace's room, Dust here as the window was open, and Mika and Trevor went away to do their things. As they were gone, Trevor gave a hug to Ace, same with Mika, Ace moved to sit down on the bed and moved his head to his hands as he gave an upset breath. Marco moved and sat down next to Ace and moved his hand to Ace's back. "You did great, yoi." Ace nodded and gave a sniffle before he started to sob and Marco did his best to comfort and be there for Ace.

When Ace stopped sobbing, Marco still comforted Ace, moving so Ace could rest against his shape. He knew Mike meant a lot to Ace, that Mike was a role model for Ace, and even though he was old, Ace wasn't ready to lose him, but life was unpredictable. When he felt Ace was okay, they just relaxed in Ace's room for a bit more, before dinner was, and they left. Marco did also say to Ace that no matter what, Marco was there for him, and Ace looked to appreciate that, and it was true. Marco was there for Ace, and would be, no matter what.

Now he hoped things would go okay with all this.

Whitebeard sat out on deck, enjoying a good day. They had docked not too long ago, and would stay a day or two, both to restock and enjoy themselves. Things had been calm the last week, which was good as the funeral to Mike had been a week ago, and Ace deserved some peace. As he was just enjoying the day, a man suddenly walked onto the boat, which had him blink. Not many walked onto his boat unannounced. When the man was more on his boat, he spoke. "I'm here for Ace." That made sense, and he was about to send someone to get Ace, when Ace came from around a corner and looked at the guy with a smile. "Hi, Shay."

Shay turned to Ace. "Good day, Ace. I got something for you, from Daisuke." He said as he took a parchment out, which Ace took and opened and read it, before he nodded. "I see. I will handle it. How are you doing, Shay? Work and training going fine? I heard you beat Corvo in a duel. Got lucky or skill?" Shay hummed. "I make my own luck." Ace chuckled. "I know, I'll take that as skill. You're getting pretty good." Shay chuckled. "I tip my imaginary hat to you." And then Shay moved as if he had a hat and tipped it, which had Ace chuckle.

Shay then stayed a bit, and he seemed nice, he seemed very calm and collected, and Trevor and Mika was glad to see him as well. When Shay left, and when he was gone, Thatch looked at Ace. "Who was that?" Ace hummed. "Shay MacKor, he's training to be an assassin, and getting there." Thatch nodded. "Cool. What is his name?" Ace hummed. "Shay." Thatch blinked. "Yes. But I meant his assassin's name." Ace nodded. "Which is Shay." Thatch blinked, looking confused. "What?" Ace nodded. "Shay is called Shay. He doesn't want another name." That was interesting. Thatch blinked. "So he just uses his real name?" Ace nodded. "Not everyone wants a pseudonym. I know a handful of people who don't have a pseudonym. Shay also works with Daisuke, so he uses the mark to the Red Cloud. He doesn't like to lie. He is also getting good fast. He handles everything great and seems to be trustworthy." Whitebeard nodded. He had a feeling good assassins like that were few, and the world needed more.

Whitebeard sat and enjoyed a day, the sun barely peeking up as it was early, not that many out yet. The mornings were usually calm, especially as they had left the island they had docked at 2 days ago, and it was usually calm for a few days after that. As he was enjoying the morning, he looked to his left when he heard Haruta speak. "Pops, something happened close to an island we control." Whitebeard looked at the twelfth commander, who held a newspaper. "Where and what?" Haruta looked unsure. "An island close to Dochodo was just… annihilated. It is now just a wasteland, barely few ruined buildings left, barely any survivors. Over a thousand lives lost. Innocent lives. Children and adults alike. I don't get… how did this happen? I don't know what it could have been that did this." Whitebeard tried to think, but also came up blank.

Whitebeard asked to look at the newspaper, and read it and still felt confused. That island wasn't special. It had some large open spaces a few trained on, but nothing more. It had had some issues now and then as people did some shady things on it, but nothing more than that. What could have happened? He said to Haruta he didn't know what it might be, but hopefully the island they controlled would be fine, and that no more innocent would die.

A bit later Ace came out on deck and Whitebeard got an idea and asked the assassin if he knew what had happened on the island, and Ace gave a breath. "I know what it was. Diauske told me. They had a mission there, nothing too large or bad, but it went foul and the one they were after had a sort of weapon that went off, a bomb. There was nothing they could do, but Daisuke assured me the weapon had also been destroyed." Whitebeard nodded. "Are they okay?" Ace gave a breath. "They are fine, minor bruises, but we did lose one man. He was new to our ranks, but we have worked with him for a while." That wasn't good, and he hoped this was a one time thing, not a start of something bigger.

As the next few days passed, things seemed to be normal and nothing special happened, which was good. It was a week later when Whitebeard sat out in his chair, enjoying what seemed to be a good day. Almost everyone was out and making the most of it. As the day went by, Haruta, who was on watch, had stopped and was looking at the sea in confusion. When you were on watch, your job was to look after dangers, and walk around the ship and keep watch on the ocean. So the fact she stood still was weird. And there were a few boats around them, but no one was too close or seeming to want a fight, just also minding their own business.

As Haruta still stared at the ocean, Whitebeard spoke. "Haruta, is everything okay, daughter?" Haruta lightly shook her head. "I don't know. But look there-" She said as she pointed to the ocean. "It is like there should be a boat there, based on the ripples in the ocean. But there is nothing. And no seagulls either, meaning it's not a hidden ship." Everyone who had heard it turned to look at the ocean where Haruta pointed, including Whitebeard.

And yes, Haruta was right. There was a still spot in the ocean, and around it, ship shaped, were ripples, like there was a boat there, but that it was invisible. But that didn't make sense either as there would have been seagulls in the sky. They had met invisible boats before and the sea and seagulls gave them away. That was very odd, and everyone seemed to think the same. Before he could try and figure out what this might be, Trevor spoke in a very serious voice. "Get ready." Whitebeard looked at the silver-haired man, who had a very serious face as he had brought out his sword. That was also odd. What did Trevor know that they didn't? He was about to speak, when something happened.

Where the sea was calm, between inside the ripples, something suddenly came shooting upwards. He first thought it was a seaking, and wondered how Trevor knew. Before it breached the surface, he saw it was a boat. Was it a shipwreck that floated to the surface? No, it came too fast. And he could only watch as a full and whole ship breached the surface, standing up straight, sails looking worn and torn, the ship's side full of corals, mussels, barnacles, and other sea growths. It was as if the entire ship had been underwater for a very long period. How was it now on the surface? And not damaged? How did it just pop out of the depths? Trevor then spoke in a half whisper. "Why is he here… We have no business with him…" So, Trevor knew who it was. But then he heard some of his children give sounds of horror and terror, looking up at the ship, and Whitebeard followed their gaze and felt his entire body grow cold in fear as he saw the pirate flag.

This wasn't an ordinary ship, an ordinary pirate ship. That was the jolly roger to the legend of Davy Jones, the flag of The Flying Dutchman. This couldn't be real, Davy Jones and The Flying Dutchman was a myth, a legend. Yes, many spoke of having met the legendary ship and Day Jones himself, most just telling they saw the ship pop out of the ocean, before sinking straight down, taking ships with them, leaving only debris, and no signs of The Flying Dutchman. A few spoke of having encountered them, being lone survivors, being told that they got to live, not out of kindness or pity, but to spread the words of Davy Jones; Do not disturb me or use my name and flag in vain.

And there had been a few who had tried to act like they were Davy Jones, using his flag, but they always just disappeared, leaving one survivor to spread his words. It was said he devoured his victims, and only came to the surface when disturbed or hungry. Myth had it that they sailed on the bottom of the sea, the reason no one could see them coming before it was too late, before going back to the depths again. Their entire crew were supposedly fishmen, and living under the sea had its price. They were full of sea growth and looked like monsters. This couldn't be real. Davy Jones couldn't be real. He was a myth, a legend. Not real.

Everyone just stared in shock and horror, a few having lost their weapons as they saw the flag. Then suddenly he heard a few scream in horror and scurry away from something, and he turned his gaze a bit to the left, where a fishman now stood. He had on a black pirate hat, which had barnacles growing on it, same with his clothes. His face was smooth and wrinkled and had tentacles growing from his face like a beard, which moved like tentacles did, and had suction cups like a squid. He had one leg in a boot, the other was a peg, but for some reason he felt it wasn't a peg. He could see his left hand, which was like a crab's claw, the same colors as his face; pale green, but the claw also had a faint red color. He had a cape on, which hid his other arm. And he was large. Not Whitebeard's size, but almost. This was Davy Jones, he was real, and he was on his ship.

Whitebeard was about to speak, to ask what business he had with them, what they had done to disturb him, and what he could do to make him leave them alone. As he was about to speak, Davy Jones moved his arm, the one hidden behind the cape, and he was sure they would now sink to the bottom of the ocean and drown. But as his arms moved, he threw something onto the deck, and this hand had long fingers like tentacles, which also included one really long tentacle. But that wasn't what had his attention, it was what he threw. He threw Ace to the deck, making him slide a bit before he stopped.

At first, he was sure Ace was dead, but then Ace started to try and gasp for air, but not seeming able to. Trevor was the first to move and ran over to Ace, moving to his knees beside him as he clapped Ace on the back, which made Ace cough up water, a lot of water, before Ace gasped for breath, as if just being under the water for a period. Which would make sense as he was with Davy Jones, who sailed the bottom of the ocean. Ace also looked beaten up. He had cuts and bruises over his body, his clothes torn, which he could see was an assassin outfit, but not his main one, this one looked like the one he used in raids.

Whitebeard looked back at Davy Jones when he spoke with a gruff voice as he looked at Trevor and Ace. "We're even." Trevor just nodded, and that made Davy Jones turn around and take a step, before he sank into the deck and disappeared, before he looked at The Flying Dutchman and saw Davy Jones on it, looking at them with a stern look, a few others with him that were fishmen, all having sea growths on them and had various shapes. Then the ship sank into the ocean again. Not tilting at all, just submerging straight down, before it was gone.

Then Whitebeard looked at Ace, who was leaning on his hands a bit as he was gasping, but it didn't seem like he was able to breathe. Trevor then moved his hand and clapped Ace hard on the back, and that seemed to help as more water was coughed up, before Ace managed to actually take a breath, before he gasped for more, needing air in his lungs. As Ace managed to breathe, Trevor spoke. "Ace, what happened?" Ace looked to try and speak, but didn't manage as he was gasping for air. Trevor continued to clap Ace a bit on the back, but no more water came up, which was good.

Ace then managed to catch his breath a bit, and Trevor then helped him stand up, and as Ace was standing, Ace closed his eyes for a second as he seemed to be in pain as he moved a hand to his head, before he moved it away and it came away bloodied. And then he saw Ace had a pretty bad head wound, but it wasn't that visible since he had been in water and the blood there had been washed away, but now it was starting to drip down his face and neck, as well as other wounds had started to bleed.

As Ace opened his eyes again, he looked at Trevor. "I think I'm about to pass out." Trevor blinked, and before he could speak, Ace's eyes closed as he fell, passing out, and Trevor catched him before he hit the deck. Trevor then lifted Ace. "And to the infirmary we go." Trevor then started to walk, and they were all in shock still, when Thatch spoke, or more like yelled. "Davy Jones is real?!" Trevor hummed as he nodded. "Yes, he is." Thatch then moved his hands to his head. "Oh my God! He's real?!" Trevor nodded. "Yeah. But as long as you don't disturb him or use his name in vain, he won't bother you." That was what the rumors said as well, but it was true.

Izou looked at Trevor. "What did Ace do then?" Trevor hummed. "I think Ace did nothing to him, but Davy Jones owed Ace a life debt. I think he just repaid it." That shocked them more. Davy Jones owed Ace a life debt? How? Before anyone could ask this, Trevor was past a corner as he walked to the infirmary. As Trevor was gone, everyone stood in silence and shock, before Haruta spoke. "He's… real." Apparently he was. That was terrifying.

Everyone then seemed to take in the news that Davy Jones was real, and that was utterly terrifying, before everyone slowly went back to what they were doing. Marco had left a bit ago, probably to the infirmary. And as an hour had passed, Whitebeard stood up from his chair and also headed to the infirmary. When he got there, Ace was lying in a bed still unconscious, a bit bandaged up, but looking to have started to heal. So he grabbed a chair and sat down as he looked at Trevor and Marco. "How is he?" Trevor hummed. "Better and finally healing." Whitebeard nodded. "Why didn't he heal right away?" Trevor nodded. "I wondered about that myself when we got here, but then Bay found a bullet wound in his shoulder, so she removed it, handed it to Marco, who promptly fell to the floor as it was seastone."

Whitebeard blinked. "He was hit with a seastone bullet?" Trevor nodded. "Yeah, and that makes sense on how he ended up on Davy Jones' ship, meaning he most likely fell to the ocean and was about to drown." That made him blink, but also nod. That would make sense as Ace couldn't have just teleported to safety. He then sat and talked with Marco and Trevor, before about an hour had passed, and Ace groaned a bit as a hand moved to his head, before he sat a bit up, before the hand moved to his chest. "My lungs are burning." Ace got out, and Trevor nodded. "Not surprised. You breathed in a lot of water. What's the last you remember?" Ace shook his head a bit. "Seeing your stupid face." Trevor rolled his eyes. "Before you got back to the Moby, you dunce."

Ace chuckled, before he nodded. "Okay, my lungs feel better. Well, I was on this boat, doing this raid. Not saving anyone, just killing them as they were bad guys, and I wanted to have fun. When I thought I had killed everyone, as in I could feel no one else on the boat at all, and no island or boat close by, I went to place my mark on the figurehead, and before you speak Trevor, yes, marking the figurehead makes sense. So, I am standing on it, starting to mark it, I hear absolutely nothing. There was no sound, no one close by, nothing, and then a bullet hit my shoulder, which made me fall into the ocean as it was a seastone bullet and hit me by shock. And I was sure I was dead, before I saw that ugly squid face."

Trevor blinked. "Wait wait, go back! You killed them all, and there was nothing close, no islands or other boats? Who the fuck shot you?" Ace moved a hand. "I don't know! That's the thing! No one was there. Yes, it was a sniper most likely. But there is a limit on how good you are with those, how far you can aim and hit, and they make a lot of noise! There was no sound! I don't know what happened or who shot me." Trevor blinked. "That makes no sense. Are you sure there wasn't a ship close by? Or a small island?" Ace nodded. "Yes. Dust scoured the area beforehand. To make sure someone innocent wouldn't die. But someone shot me, and it must have been so far away as I heard no sniper, and that sound travels far over water, and it was dead silent." Trevor blinked. "Huh. That is very odd." Ace nodded. "I know. Maybe it was someone who was practicing far away with a sniper and missed their target? And the bullet hit me instead?" Trevor hummed. "Who would practice with seastone bullets?" Ace nodded. "That is what I have issues with as well. I feel that bullet was meant for me, but I don't get how as no one was there." That was weird.

Ace looked at Trevor. "Do you still have the bullet?" Trevor hummed and called out for Bay, who came and was glad to see Ace up, when Trevor asked for the bullet, which Bay got. When Bay returned, she had a small tray with the bullet in it. And Ace took the tray, before he lifted the bullet and looked at it, making him shocked as Ace had no reaction to it. Ace hummed. "Not that bad quality either, but not the best either. And it is a sniper bullet, from a long barrel sniper based on the marks and shape. But no clue on who. A few snipers use special bullets with their mark, this is unmarked." Trevor nodded. "Maybe. But this is a seastone bullet, those can he hard to mark." Ace nodded and put the bullet back into the tray and handed it back to Bay. "Yeah. I guess this will just be a mystery." Ace sighed. "And I hate mysteries." Trevor chuckled. "I know. You feeling good now?" Ace nodded. "Yeah. A small headache, but I'm fine." Trevor nodded. "Good."

Trevor then hummed. "Also, they didn't know Davy Jones was real and was terrified." Ace blinked. "Wait. You didn't know he was real?" Whitebeard shook his head. "We didn't. I was sure he was just a legend of the sea to scare others." Ace blinked. "Huh. But then again, you thought I was a legend until you saw me by that mansion the first time. You all looked so scared." Whitebeard nodded, that was true. Trevor blinked. "Wait, they didn't know you were real? Like Ace of Spades? You legit have a wanted poster. Hell, they called for your help!" Ace nodded. "Yes. But before they called for me, maybe like 6 months before, I took out this Blue Blooded Patrician, and they were there and saw me. Thatch legit dropped his precious sword as he saw me since he was so shocked and scared." Trevor blinked. "I would pay to see that." Well, that was true. He remembers that day. He had been so shocked as well to learn Ace of Spades was real. Had someone told him back then Ace of Spades would be his son, that person would have been labeled as totally insane. But here he was.

Ace sighed. "Anyhow." Ace then looked at Bay, who was a bit away and bussing herself with some tasks. "Bay, can I leave?" Bay hummed. "Can you stand and not feel dizzy?" Ace hummed. "Touche." Trevor blinked. "You can't?" Ace chuckled. "I feel dizzy sitting up. I hoped I could go to my bed and relax." Bay hummed. "When you're not dizzy, you can leave." Ace nodded. "Okay." Then they started to chat to keep Ace company. After about 2 hours, Ace hummed. "Okay, I think I can stand and not feel dizzy now." That was good, and Ace moved to sit on the side of the bed and looked at Trevor. "If I fall, you catch me, right?" Trevor nodded. "Yep." Ace then nodded and stood up, and when he was up, he seemed to do just fine, so Marco spoke. "You okay, yoi?" Ace nodded. "Yeah. Not dizzy, but my headache got worse."

Bay hummed. "Well, I didn't mention a headache, so, you're free to leave. Be careful. You did get a bad concussion." Ace nodded. "Yeah, that's from hitting The Flying Dutchman. I was sinking and it caught me." That made sense. They then left the infirmary, and when they were out, Ace looked at Marco. "Want to head and relax with me?" Marco nodded. "Sure, yoi. My room or yours?" Ace hummed. "Yours." Marco nodded and they started to head off, when Trevor whined. "I wanna relax with you!" Ace hummed. "Too bad." Trevor gave a pout. "I also wanna cuddle with you." Ace hummed and moved a hand up to wave at Trevor. "Bye, Trevor." Trevor chuckled as they walked away. "At least I have Mika to cuddle with." Before Trevor also walked away, before Whitebeard walked back to the main deck to his chair to sit down, and told everyone Ace was fine. Which had everyone happy.

As he sat down, he couldn't help but think about who might have shot Ace. How Ace didn't see anyone or hear anything. It was very bizarre.

-x-

Two days later, Whitebeard sat out on deck early morning, going to enjoy a calm morning. Then the sun rose as the day started and more woke up, and after a bit, he saw Haruta had gotten the newspaper and was reading it, and as she did, she suddenly blinked. "Pops!" She half yelled, before she showed the newspaper to him, which made him blink. There was a picture of the Moby from far away, and next to them, was The Flying Dutchman. Someone had managed to take a picture of them when Davy Jones came with Ace.

Whitebeard then asked to see the newspaper and he was handed it before he read it and blinked. The input said how they, the Whitebeards, were allies with Davy Jones, as there was a picture of their boats together and they hadn't been sunken by Davy Jones. Whitebeard then blinked, before he laughed. "Let them believe what they want to believe! Let them be scared!" Many seemed confused, before they saw the newspaper and then they also laughed. They weren't allies with Davy Jones, but the world would believe what they wanted to believe. He found this very amusing.

It was some hours later that Claus came running over the deck, heading to them as he held a Den Den. And he always knew it was urgent when Claus ran, but before he could speak, Claus did. "Commander Ace! Daisuke is calling and he says it's really urgent!" That had Ace blink as he moved to meet Claus halfway, still holding his coffee cup as he took a sip before he spoke. "What kind of urgent? Should I answer in my room?" Claus looked to be on his way to answer when the Den Den spoke. "No time! Ace. Chiaroscuro is gone." He could see Ace freezing, looking shocked as he dropped the cup and it fell to the deck and shattered.

He could see Ace just looking shocked, before he looked at the Den Den. "What? Who took it?" The Den Den took a breath. "Shay did." Ace moved a hand to his mouth, looking horrified. "If this lands in the wrong hands again…" The Den Den nodded. "Adam all over again." Then Whitebeard got what they were talking about. They were talking about the Devil Fruit Adam had, which Daisuke had taken to keep safe. If that kind of power got in the wrong hands, it would be very bad. Ace looked at the Den Den. "I am coming right now." Then Ace was gone in black smoke and the Den Den went back to sleep.

Whitebeard didn't like this, this felt bad, and he couldn't help but think this had something to do with the island which had been destroyed. It was an hour later Dust came with a note, and as he took it, Dust disappeared again, and he read the note, which said Ace would be gone a week or two, to try and get this situation under control, should they need it, burn a feather or call Daisuke, but only in emergency, as what Ace was dealing with was serious. And Whitebeard got it. This was a serious situation.

Whitebeard hoped things would go okay and they would find the fruit.
