Alright it's time to continue this heroic story. If Gil had problems with Vulture, he is going to have much more problems with the villain of this chapter. Let's say he will be a very "heavy" opponent. Well, I guess most of you know who I mean. So, it's Spider-Guppy time!

Chapter 5: Armored Beast
A few days had passed since the appearance of the self-styled villain Vulture. A crazy guy who used a mechanical suit that allowed him to fly. The subject tried to end the life of Norman Osborn and everything he loved. Luckily for everyone, Spider-Guppy managed to beat him against all odds. That had been the first major threat Gil would face in his career as a New Bubble York superhero. Unfortunately, it would not be the last threat, because there are people who are ready to take desperate measures to stop Spider-Guppy. And we will look at one of those people.
"Prisoner 036, Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, please report to Ward 3B"
The voice of the megaphone could be heard in jail. We will look at a crab man with many scars on his body. He had very large muscles and had some tattoos on his body. Some guards decided to take him under heavy guard. They opened the exit doors and released him.
"What does this mean?" The criminal asked.
"Someone paid your bail. They are waiting for you. If you leave without them, we'll put you in jail again. You can go with them" A police officer advised him. Aleksei approached two mysterious subjects who had very formal uniforms and were very serious and quiet.
"Were you the ones who freed me?" The crab asked.
"Our boss was the one who paid for your freedom. Join us, sir" One of them said. The dangerous criminal decided to obey them and entered the black car accompanied by the mysterious subjects. The journey was very long and silent. No word came out of their mouths. They went to an unknown place. They decided to take the Russian criminal to a mysterious cellar, where an adult guppy in dark clothes (with a black trench coat, dark glasses and a black hat).
"Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich…..Or rather, Alex O'Hirn….It's nice to finally meet you in person" The mysterious man said formally.
"Who are you?! Was it you who set me free?" Alex asked surprisedly.
"They know me by many names. But you can call me: "The Big Man". And I was the one who paid your bail. However, freedom has a price. I want you to work for me on a project that you might like" The Big Man explained his new plans.
"I'm not a very smart guy. I just hope it's not complicated" The Russian criminal admitted.
"On the contrary, my friend. Your task is very simple: I want you to remove Spider-Guppy from the road. I want you to destroy him completely. He has been interfering a lot in my criminal empire" The mysterious man proposed.
"Woah Woah Woah! Have you lost your mind? Nobody can beat Spider-Guppy! Believe me, I hate him. He caught me and it was he who put me in jail. But he is very strong!" Alex said botherely.
"That's why I'll give you a hand. Look, Mr. O'Hirn, I have a little present for you" The subject pressed a button so that a platform appeared on the ground that hid something very large. It was a large heavily armored combat suit. It was a suit that had a skin with a similar style to a rhinoceros, in addition to a huge horn on the head of the suit.
"WOAH! With that thing I will kill that spider! I want it!" Alex said excitedly.
"I see you like Project R.H.I.N.O. This armor was a project product of a strategic alliance between Oscorp Industries and the Government. Due to certain design flaws and how dangerous the suit is, they scrapped the armor in its beta stage. Luckily, I managed to upgrade the armor and was looking for the right guy for the job" Big Man explained, but Alex was stubborn and he didn't hear him. The criminal simply decided to get on the huge suit and entered the armored suit. What he did not expect was that the armor would show a flaw. The armor began to fuse with Alex's body. Which caused him a lot of pain and many cables and biotechnological circuits joined him with the suit permanently.
"AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!" Alex screamed a lot until he noticed something horrible "W…WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME, INSANE?"
"It seems that you merged with the armor...permanently. I tried to tell you but I see that you are not a very good listener" Big Man said with a hidden evil smile.
"UGH I SHOULD KILL YOU NOW FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME!" The criminal thought of hitting the mysterious subject.
"Hmmmm You can do whatever you want to me, but what you don't know is that I've given you a gift. Now you are stronger, bigger, more resistant. Now, just the way you are, you could break the spider with your bare hands. So what do you prefer? Take down a simple man who gave you something spectacular or take down the Spider-Guppy?" Big Man decided to leave him to decide what to do. The armor-fused crab thought a lot. He just slammed the ground angrily and decided to go finish off the Spider-Guppy.
"HAHAHA NEW BUBBLE YORK WILL MEET THE NEW ALEX O'HIRN! MUAHAHAHAAHAHA!" The new madman with new powers decided to break the wall with a punch and went out to do what he wanted.
"Sir, that madman will cause chaos. He is not a rational man. He will only do what he wants" One of the Big Man`s henchmen said nervously.
"And with that I count, gentlemen. I'll let our subject do what he wants. We'll see if he can with Spider-Guppy. The only thing left for us is to enjoy the show" Big Man commented with a sinister tone. Obviously, it was what he wanted.
We return to see the daily life of Gil Parker. Or rather, not so daily. The boy began to work a little more with the Bubble Bugle. Despite the fact that Grumpfish Jameson had not offered him a definitive position, he was happy for the photographs that he brought about Spider-Guppy (Obviously to later put in the newspapers that he is a threat). Thanks to the money, he could help his Aunt May with the house payments such as electricity, water, taxes, debts. She didn't like the idea of him working, least of all when she knew he was near crime scenes (because of the photos he had to take). However, Gil did not want to leave all the financial responsibilities to her. Therefore, he offers 80 percent of his payment to give to his aunt. And the other 20 percent was for his personal stuff.
Gil continued with his life as a teenager and student. Although evidently, he secretly dedicated himself to stopping criminals like Spider-Guppy. What worried him a little is that dangerous subjects like the Vulture would appear. And do you know? Something worse is coming. We can see Gil with some of his few friends. His best friend Goby Osborn, Oona Allen and Zooli Hardy.
"Man! If I don't improve my grades for the next test, my dad is going to kill me" Goby commented nervously.
"Seriously? But you have good grades, friend" Oona asked curiously.
"Well yes, I passed all the subjects ... except algebra!" Goby answered.
"Hey, I can help you with that. We should go to study together, bro" Gil said with a smile.
"Will you really give me a hand?" Goby asked.
"Of course!" Gil said confidently.
"Gil is your best option. After all, he has the best academic performance of our group" Zooli added.
"What do you think after class?" The light blue-haired guppy proposed.
"It's perfect, bro!" Goby said excitedly.
"Well….We have to go. See you, boys" Zooli said goodbye to them. She and Oona left them alone.
"So how's your job going?" Goby asked curiously.
"Well…..After the big news of Spider-Guppy vs. Vulture I have not found very exciting new photos. So far I'm making good money with Spider-Guppy photos, but nothing very relevant lately" Gil commented about his job (and in a sneaky way, his job as a superhero).
"Yeah….I still remember that day. So….Is there something new between you and Molly?" Goby asked with a mocking smile.
"N…Not really! You know, she's still Dash's girlfriend and that…." The light blue-haired guppy said nervously. He tried to not comment a lot about his feelings.
"Nah….I have a feeling she's going to break up with him soon. Lately, she is not dating him. It could be your chance….finally" The dark-skinned guppy commented with a positive attitude.
"We should focus on more important things, friend. Let's hurry up or we'll be late for chemistry class" Gil changed the topic quickly.
After an ordinary day, they left the high school to go to their respective houses. We will look at a couple who are shopping. It was Molly Jane-Watson with her boyfriend Dash Thompson. The girl was looking at many things in various clothing stores while the blond boy was bored holding the shopping bags.
"Hey Dash! What do you think of this blouse? It matches the skirt I bought, right?" Molly asked modeling for her boyfriend.
"Euh…Yeah yeah of course!" Dash said distractedly.
"Hmmmm I wish you would at least pay attention to me. For something I wanted you to come with me" Molly put her hands on her wrist.
"Please, baby. You know I don't like shopping. Also, I thought you wanted me to go because your friends couldn't" Dash justified himself.
"What? Please! I can't believe you're so...unromantic!" Molly started to feel bothered by her boyfriend`s indifference.
"Come on Molly! Whatever you wear, it will look good on you. You are the most popular and loved girl in high school" Dash said.
"Hmmmm I`m not sure….I" The pink-haired guppy said before she was interrupted. The ground started to shake a little bit and they heard people screaming and running.
"What?! Earthquake?!" Dash asked nervously. In the middle of the street, a huge guy appeared. He was a crab-man riding in a mech suit that appeared to be combat armor with rhinoceros-like skin and a sharp horn on his helmet. The subject used the armor to start destroying buildings and vehicles with his bare hands and even with his horn. Several police cars appeared, and many officers prepared their weapons to attack.
"Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich, aka Alex O'Hirn... Surrender, you are surrounded. If you don't get off that confiscated military artifact, we'll open fire" A police captain said seriously.
"HAHAHA COME HERE! SHOOT ME! I'M INVINCIBLE NOW!" Alex showed-off his new mechanic body.
"Okay, fire!" The captain ordered. The policemen used revolvers and rifles to shoot the subject with his enormous suit. Evidently, Alex was now bulletproof and those blasts didn't do a single scratch on him.
"HAHAHAHA THAT WAS IT? WHAT A PITY. IT'S MY TURN!" The armored crab picked up a light car and in an act of complete madness, he threw the car at the police officers.
"Look out, captain!" The police backed up, but the captain tripped and saw that the car was going to fall on him. He simply closed his eyes, accepting his end. But it took a lot of time and he didn't feel anything. He opened his eyes and saw something surprising. A mysterious person appeared and stopped the car with his bare hands. That guy decided to lower the car, because it was already heavy for the masked guppy.
"Ugh Ugh….Are you okay, Captain Stacey?"
"Yeah…I'm fine….Spider-Guppy!" The adult blonde guppy shouted surprisedly.
"How many wall-climbing masked guppies do you know besides me?" Spider-Guppy said it funnily "Hey, Order the other agents to evacuate this perimeter. I'll keep this madman distracted"
"Since when does he give us orders?!" A snail police officer complained.
"Spider-Guppy is right about this. Agents, evacuate people immediately!" Captain Stacey said seriously.
"Yes, sir!" The policemen decided to obey their boss. Spider-Guppy approached the new supervillain.
"(sigh) First an insane flying Vulture...And now an insane guy in...rhino armor?" The masked guppy asked ironically.
"SPIDER-GUPPY! We meet again!" The crab shouted.
"Again? So….Do I know you?" Spider-Guppy asked confusedly.
"WHAT? How can you not remember me? I am the great Alex O'Hirn! One of the biggest thieves! You caught me and humiliated me when I tried to rob the central bank!" The armored criminal shouted very angry.
"Hmmmm You should be more specific, my friend. Because I've caught so many thieves that I lost count" The spider hero mocked a little.
"GRRRRR Do not make fun of me! This time I'll make sure you don't forget about me...I'll be known as the guy who broke the spider!" Alex said furiously.
"I must admit your new suit is a LITTLE intimidating" Spider-Guppy commented. The subject decided to run towards him with the intention of piercing him with his horn. Luckily, Spider-Guppy slipped under and by a few inches, his horn didn't even scratch him. He hit a building and caused a large crater. But the guy in armor got out without a problem.
"With this new power, I will finish you off and finally be able to do whatever I want. I will be able to rob any bank, jewelry, safes and no one will be able to stop me. And everyone will know me by the name of: The Rhino!" The supervillain finally said his new name.
"Rhino, huh? I don't like hunting but I think this could be an exception to the rule" Spider-Guppy said funnily.
"Prepare to die, Spider! GRRRUUAAAAAHHHH!"
And so begins this complicated battle. Spider-Guppy vs. The Rhino! Unlike the previous enemy of the superhero, this new villain was more dangerous. Although he wasn't very fast because of his weight, he was extremely strong. Even stronger than Spider-Guppy. Also, thanks to his metallic suit, no hit would be effective against Rhino. Luckily, the young superhero could dodge the subject's blows. But Rhino managed to just hit him in the face and that knocked him several meters away and Spider-Guppy got up very weakly. That blow was enough to leave him in a not very pleasant state.
"Ugh! Just one blow...and I feel like it broke some bones...I can't be careless with him" Spider-Guppy said to himself.
"GOT YA! GRRRROOAAAAHHH!" Rhino ran towards where he was with the intention of impaling him with his horn. Spider-Guppy managed to shoot a web to propel himself to another safe place. Rhino was unable to stop him from running and went through the wall of a building with his horn. He managed to free himself with some difficulty "GRRRR COME HERE! COME SO I CAN CRUSH YOU!"
"Why do you think I'm NOT close to you?" Spider-Guppy answered.
"Take this, Spider!" Rhino took a car and threw it towards where Gil was. Luckily, he jumped hard and dodged the car. The car destroyed part of a clothing store.
"Ahhhhh!" Molly and Dash screamed scaredly to see that car nearly crashed with them.
"What the?! A Big Rhinoceros?" Molly saw the battle.
"Oh no! I'M LEAVING!" Dash decided to run away as a coward.
"Hey Dash! Don't leave me alone... Ahhhh!" Molly shouted scaredly because a piece of debris almost smashed her. She was now trapped in the building. The only way out of the store is through the hole made by the car. She decided to try to get out slowly while she watched Spider-Guppy fight against the new villain self-named "Rhino".
"You got me sick, Spider-Guppy!" Rhino grabbed a huge bus (thankfully it was empty due to the evacuation) and threw it at Spider-Guppy to crush it. But it wasn't hard for him to dodge. The hero was a bit confident until he heard something that made him lose his concentration
"AHHHHHH!" Molly screamed in terror as she saw that the bus Rhino launched was going to crush her. Gil saw that and was terrified that the girl he loved was going to die in a horrible way.
"No…NO! No loved one of mine should suffer because of me!" Gil said it to himself. In a swift and heroic move, Spider-Guppy threw a web at Rhino's face so he couldn't see. Therefore, that would put him out of action for a few minutes. The arachnid guppy shot out a web to quickly swing to where Molly was and caught her in his arms and managed to pull her to safety just in time. Because the bus crashed into the building and exploded. Molly was breathing fast but...she felt a deadening warmth as she was in the superhero's arms. Spider-Guppy landed with the girl in his arms. She couldn't stop looking at the mask with eyes of illusion.
"Wow…." Molly was speechless.
"You're alright, Mo…..I mean…..girl?" Spider-Guppy corrected his own sentence to avoid any suspects.
"I…I…I'm okay….Thanks to you" Molly said with a loving tone.
"I'm glad I saw you in time... Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take care of sending this rhino to the zoo again" Spider-Guppy joked a little before leaving. But when he was about to fire his web shooter to leave, she took his hand to stop him for a moment.
"W..Wait! I…I…Thanks again for the rescue!" Molly said nervously.
"It's just my duty, girl" The hero said quietly. But inside that mask, he was blushing.
"And….Hey….you….Who are you?" The girl asked curiously.
"You know who I am" He answered with a tender tone of voice.
"Did I know?" Molly asked confusedly.
"Yeah. I'm your Friendly Neighbor...Spider-Guppy!" The masked superhero decided to go quickly in his webs to be able to meet again with the mighty Rhino. Molly just saw the hero go... still smiling like an excited girl in love... And she breathed a sigh of happiness.
Spider-Guppy wasted no time and returned to the battlefield but noticed that he was late, Rhino escaped! Evidently, it wasn't too hard to find him again because the madman left a trail of destruction. However, Spider-Guppy decided to rest on a tall building to catch his breath, as those blows from Rhino were brutal for him. He felt like his shoulder was dislocated and his body was very sore.
"That guy is worse than Vulture. He didn't hit me many times but those minimal hits were enough to leave me like this. He could kill me with just blows" Gil tried to breathe normally to recover air. He could see from the building how Rhino decided to attack a bank in order to take all the money. He could do it without problems because of his extreme strength and endurance. No bullet could do anything to him. He managed to knock down the security guards and broke the safe with his bare hands.
"HAHAHAHAHA! All tremble before Rhino! Nobody can beat me, not even Spider-Guppy! He just ran away like a coward! He is afraid to face me! HAHAHAHA" The supervillain was just showing off his new abilities and how now he could do whatever he wanted because no one could stop him. Spider-Guppy looked at that a bit angrily. Not because he made fun of him, but because he was a complete bully and abusive. He wanted to put him in his place, but he knows that if he goes toe to toe with him, he could get killed.
"I can't beat Rhino...At least...at his own game. Hmmm I have to defeat him...on my own way" Spider-Guppy started to plan something that can defeat that brute criminal.
Rhino was wreaking havoc throughout the city without a thought for anyone other than himself. He knocked down vehicles, mobile store stalls and even some small buildings. He was taking away a lot of loot with ease. The police tried to shoot him down with his weapons, but he was too strong and resistant. His suit was too armored and any bullet was useless.
"HAHAHAHA IS NOBODY ABLE TO TAKE DOWN THE RHINO? NO ONE CAN STOP ME NOW HAHAHAHAHA" Rhino yelled with a big overconfidence. However, someone bravely decided to stand in front of Rhino.
"Spider-Guppy will stop you! You will see, big guy!" A crab kid said bravely.
"PFFFF HAHAHAHA. I beat Spider-Guppy! Do you know what he did? He ran away from me! The same thing you should do, dwarf!" Rhino mocked the little kid.
"Come here, my little one!" His mother said worriedly.
"Hey, mess with someone your size!"
"Huh?!" Rhino was confused. In front of him, he appeared again.
"Spider-Guppy!" All the witnesses said happily.
"Hey, big guy! I heard you say things about me. And I've heard of how you treat others. You know, if there's one thing I hate more than crime, it's bullies. So, I recommend that you give up" Spider-Guppy said seriously.
"Hahahaha! You couldn't stop me earlier. What makes you believe that this time will be different?" Rhino laughed a little.
"What's up, Rhino? Are you afraid of the spider? Or why don't you accept another second round?" Gil mocked him confidently. He wanted to provoke him. Because he knew that he was very temperamental and he was not a rational man.
"GRRRRR. ME? AFRAID? HA! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SHOULD FEAR ME! DIE!" Screaming loudly, Rhino ran straight at Spider-Guppy like a bull wanting to take down the bullfighter. The masked hero managed to jump to dodge the thug's attack.
"Too close!" Spider-Guppy smiled under the mask.
"Prepare to be defeated by me again!" Rhino threatened him.
The second round started! Spider-Guppy vs. The Rhino again! The supervillain only thought of brutally and savagely crushing him with his bare hands. But this time, Gil thought of a better strategy. He dedicated himself to evading his opponent's attacks, even though he was attacking nonstop. He only evades attacks and uses webs to distract, stop or save himself.
"Come on, Spidey! Come here to finish you quickly!" Alex said bothered.
"If you want to beat me...Catch me if you can!" Spider-Guppy started to escape, using his web-shooters.
"GRRRAAAHHH! DO NOT RUN AWAY!" The armored criminal began to run quickly to catch him, destroying everything in his path. Spider-Guppy used his agility and webs to get people to safety as he lured Rhino into a trap. Many minutes of pursuit passed until both reached a power plant. The spider hero was tired and sore from the previous encounter. So he was breathing hard and he saw that Rhino cornered him
"End of the road, Spider! This time I'll finish you! And so, no one will stand in my way!" Rhino screamed evilly.
"Ugh Ugh….What are you….waiting for? Huh? Do it!" Spider-Guppy said tiredly.
"Oh! You want to die fast, huh? Well take this!" Alex O'Hirn prepared himself to kill him with his fearsome and lethal horn. He braced his leg and moved it like a bull before attacking. He screamed and ran to where his opponent was and prepared the horn to kill him.
"Hehehe…." Spider-Guppy smirked and he did something clever. When Rhino was on his run, he simply jumped on top of the villain for him to stick his horn into a power generator. When the horn impacted, a huge electric current damaged the huge R.H.I.N.O suit. Causing Alex to take heavy damage from the electricity.
"GGGRRROOOAAAAHHHHH AAHHHHHHHH!" Rhino screamed in pain. When the electric shock wore off, Rhino simply fell to his knees and the metal suit was rendered useless. He couldn't move or defend himself now. Especially since Alex was fused into the armor. That would be his new body.
"You know? I always disliked bullies. And now you got a taste of his own medicine. How does it feel to lose against someone weaker?" Spider-Guppy asked.
"Grrrr aghhh. This...is not...over" Rhino said weakly.
"For now, it's over. And I think... you'll be locked up for a while" Spider-Guppy said before leaving, using his web-shooters. Rhino tried to move, but it was impossible. And worse, when the police arrived. It was not difficult for them to arrest him. They decided to send him to a maximum security prison. Additionally, Oscorp provided a device to nullify Rhino's super-abilities.
After that very difficult fight, Gil decided to return to his house in a discreet way. He managed to remove the suit with no problem, although he noticed that on his body he had some Rhino punch marks. Also, his body felt very sore. So he decided to rest for that day. The next day, in high school, Gil had forgotten something very important.
"MAN! Where were you yesterday? You were supposed to help me study" Goby said, a little upset.
"Oh bro….I`m sorry…We were supposed to meet but...Mmmmm..They called me from work. Grumpfish wanted me to take pictures of Spider-Guppy, who was fighting a madman in a Rhino suit" Gil said nervously. He was improving in the ability to lie "In fact…I was a little injured"
"Oh…Sorry, Gil. It just….I really need to improve to show my dad that I can. I'm sorry if I was harsh on you. And I hope it went well for you" Goby apologized, even though he wasn't very convinced.
"Thanks. I promise to help you as soon as possible" Gil smiled at him.
"I just hope that this time you can" Goby said quietly. The light blue haired boy felt bad about having to lie to his best friend. However, he had to do it with everyone. Nobody could know that he was Spider-Guppy. It is a burden he would have to carry for a long time. The bad thing is that the personal problems were only about to begin. This would not be the last time that Gil would disappoint his friends and family. And all because of his great responsibility. And on the other hand, he was worried about the threats that were appearing. First Vulture and now Rhino. What more dangerous criminals were going to wake up?
Things are going to start to get more complicated for Gil. Both in his personal life and in his superhero life. What things is Gil going to sacrifice for his responsibility to be a hero? On a dark night, we will look at an orphanage where many children were living there because they were abandoned or had no parents. That was the case for a guppy girl with brown hair, fair skin, and beautiful eyes. Despite her beauty, she needed medical treatment for a dangerous illness. She had a small hose up her nose to help her breathe. She was in that place because her parents couldn't take care of her. Her mom was dead, and her father…..couldn't take care of her like she should. She was resting in her room until she noticed that someone was knocking on the window. She decided to approach slowly without making a sound. She opened the window and a full grown male guppy came in through the window. He was a light-skinned, brown-haired adult in an iconic green-striped shirt.
"Dad!" The girl said happily.
"Shhhh…Remember that nobody can see me here" Her father said with a smile.
"Hehehe Sorry!" She smiled at him.
"My dear….Every day you are more beautiful" The man touched her cheek in a lovely way.
"Daddy…..Why do I have to be in this place? I don't like being here! People say bad things about you. They always say you're just a dirty criminal…..Cough Cough" The girl asked sadly. And she coughed for her illness.
"(sigh) People sometimes...don't know what they're saying. But you know...have this, honey. You need it" The man showed her new medicines.
"Thanks, daddy...You...stole them, right?" The girl asked sadly.
"I know. I`m not proud….but it's necessary. For you, all this is worth it. Listen, daughter. When I can get money and a safe place... I'll come back for you. And we will live together, as we have always wanted" The father tried to explain to her his reasons.
"I still can't understand it" The kid said sadly.
"Listen, little one. You are the only thing I have left. And I will do my best to give you the quality of life you need. But...I need to do many things. For now you have to stay here" The man said. He was preparing himself to leave one more time.
"T…Take me with you!" The little girl sobbed a little.

He kissed her forehead and he started to escape. He knew he couldn't stay any longer. If he did, they were going to catch him. He walked slowly out the window, seeing his little daughter for the last time with tears. He held back the urge to cry and left. He was running in those dark streets when a strong white light blinded his sight.
"Down! We finally have you, Flint Marko! Surrender to the authorities"
That shout came from the two policemen who were in front of him. He decided to run to avoid being arrested. They shot at him, but luckily, no bullet hit him. He decided to use his agility to sneak through the alleys of the city. As he ran, a few tears ran down his cheeks and he said a phrase to himself to remind himself of something.
