Chapter 10: The Sinister Six!
Our hero has battled many threats in his remarkable career as New Bubble York's friendly neighbor. From villains with mutant superpowers to criminals with highly advanced technology. Regardless of whether they are superior in power or technology, Spider-Guppy always used his wits, intelligence, and cunning to emerge victorious in his challenging matchups. However, the biggest challenge he is going to face is about to begin.
Our story begins on a dark day. It was literally cloudy weather with thunder. It all begins in an unpleasant place: New Bubble York Maximum Security Prison. This place was located several kilometers away from the city. With the new administration and with the new threats, it was the best prison to house the most dangerous prisoners in the city. From mercenaries and assassins to fearsome super villains. Of all the characters we will focus on a teenage prisoner. An orange-haired guppy with dark glasses in his typical orange prison uniform. What was different about him was that he had robotic arms that were attached to the wall of his cell. The wall was designed so that the tentacles were immobilized by a signal that interrupted his full mobility. This boy could move around his cell freely, but he couldn't get out at all.
"Prisoner 067: Nonny Octavius...You have visitors" A prison guard said seriously.
"Please...Call me by my new name" He said seriously.
"As you wish, Doc Ock...Someone wants to see you. You only have 5 minutes!" The guard reminded him.
"Hmpt….As if this really matters to me" It was Nonny with a calm but evil tone of voice. Finally, the visitor arrived. It was about a young teenage guppy with purple pigtails. She showed a face of concern and compassion at the same time.
"Hello, Nonny…..It's good to see you again"
"Hmmm….You really are irritating. First you visited me every day... and then you continue to see me one day a week. Why are you so foolish and keep coming to me?" The young prisoner asked seriously.
"I keep coming to see you because I really care about you. And I know you need help. I'm not leaving you alone in this, Nonny" It was Oona trying to help.
"Bah….Again with the same thing. I'm not Nonny anymore, not anymore. I'm Doctor Octopus now" He said stoically and without real emotion.
"That is not true. I know that in your mind you are fighting. My Nonny, the boy I love, I know you're still there. I know that every day you want to fight against the influence of those robot arms of yours...They...They are the reason why you are bad. That's not the real you" Oona explained how she sees the situation.
"Tsk Tsk…..The Nonny you speak of died a long time ago. That accident...In that accident, Nonny died. Now it's just me, Doctor Octopus. My mental conflict does not exist. My arms and I are one. I thought that was clear" Doc Ock replied.
"You are lying to yourself, and you know it. If there really isn't a conflict...why didn't you kill me that day?" she asked deeply. She wanted to keep believing that the boy she loved is still inside.
"Oh...little and naive girl...I can assure you that if I were where you are right now...I would kill you immediately with my arms!" Nonny said sadistically, trying to free his robotic arms. Efforts that were futile.
"I...I...I...I refuse to believe it. I know you still have kindness...I know...I...I won't give up easily...I promise to do my best...(sigh) Goodbye, Nonny" Saying this, she walked out with a few tears in her eyes. The supervillain was unfazed by her words. It seemed that he didn't care about her feelings. In addition, the minutes of the visit were over. The young scientist was simply not showing any emotion.
"That was unfortunate, my dear friend"
"(sigh) Hello, Mr. Adrian Tomes" Nonny said bothered.
"The unexpected turns of life, my colleague. I see that in the end you were replaced by Osborn just like me. And you were thrown away like me...and here we are" It was Adrian Tomes, known as Vulture.
"Don't you have anything else to do, old bird?" Doctor Octopus asked bothered.
"To your bad luck, no. Not that I can do much in this cell" Vulture said. He didn't have his flying armor. He had his orange prison suit.
"My old friend Nonny... I see that your change was... very interesting hehehe... Do you remember me? I'm your friend, Electro!" There was Electro in a special cell that nullified his electrical powers.
"First, I stopped being Nonny a long time ago... Second, I'm not your friend, you electric freak" Nonny said cruelly.
"Says the boy who talks to his robot arms... That's weird" Electro defended himself.
"You are a complete idiot...You know that, Doc Ock?"
"Hmpt….You again…." Nonny rolled his eyes.
"You are the only person among us who receives a visit from a person who loves you...And you decide to treat her like trash...Really, you are despicable" It was the prisoner Flint Marko, known to all as the Sandman.
"Save yourself the moral talk, Mr. Marko. If we are all here it is because of our distorted morality. So you better shut your mouth, sandbox" Doctor Octopus said quietly.
"AGGHHH! Actually we're all here because of that stupid Spider-Guppy! I WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE TO BREAK ALL HIS BONES!"
"He couldn't miss the meeting...isn't that right, Mr. Alex O'Hirn?" Vulture asked with a smirk.
"I don't care about your conversations, Rhino only has one thing on his mind: Smash the Spider!" Rhino expressed his main idea.
"Of course! That smug wall-crawler was the one who got us all here in the first place!" Adrian Tomes clenched his fists.
"I wish we could give that spider a taste of his own medicine" Electro said with anger.
"Hmmmm….If only we could get out of these cells…." Sandman commented seriously. It was at that moment that they heard something surprising. Many security guards were defeated and a huge explosion appeared at the entrance to the most dangerous cell room. It was an individual in a special combat suit. I think we know who it is.
"Hmmmm….Shocker….What the hell are you doing here?" Doctor Octopus asked seriously.
"I've come to give you a message from my boss. Someone wants to talk to you" Shocker decided to take out a technological device where the hologram of a mysterious subject appeared. He was an adult guppy with his body completely covered in a black trench coat and black clothing. His eyes were covered with dark glasses and he had on a black formal hat. His face was covered in darkness.
"Greetings to all of you, infamous beings of society!"
"IT'S YOU! YOU ARE THE SUBJECT WHO GAVE ME THIS NEW BODY!" Rhino said bothered.
"It is an honor to finally meet you all. I'm sorry I can't be there to see all of you with my own eyes. But discretion is my best weapon. One way or the other. I've heard of all of you. I've been seeing you guys for a long time. And I see that you are the right people for my great project: Adrian Tomes, the Vulture. Alex O'Hirn, the Rhino. Maxwell Dillon, Electro. Flint Marko, Sandman. My server there, the Shocker. And finally, Nonny Octavius, Doctor Octopus. You all are going to work together for me"
"We? Working together? And for you? Bah!" Vulture said with sarcasm.
"For starters, who the hell are you? And what makes you believe that we will work for you?" Doctor Octopus asked quietly and smartly.
"You can call me: Big Man. And why do I think you will work for me? Well simple... I know that you are going to love the only task that I am asking of you"
"And what is that task specifically?" Electro asked curiously.
"...Simple…..All I ask is that you kill Spider-Guppy"
"OH YEAH! I LIKE IT!" Rhino expressed very excitedly.
"Sounds good to me" Vulture added.
"Mmmmmm...too good to be true...what's the catch here?" Doc Ock wasn't very convinced.
"There is no trick, Doctor. I just want the same thing as all of you: Get Spider-Guppy out of the way. I know that he has been a hindrance to your personal purposes. Even for me. Implement it, it is something that we will all benefit from"
"And what makes you believe that we can beat Spider-Guppy this time?" Electro asked seriously.
"Because this time, all of you will fight together. Spider-Guppy was able to beat each of you separately. Because each of you fought alone. But now, if all of you work together, it will be the ultimate end of Spider-Guppy. What do you all say? Are you in on the deal or not?" The villains looked at each other for a few seconds and smiled evilly.
"I'm in!" Rhino was the easiest to convince.
"Me too!" Electro joined.
"Sounds appropriate" Vulture said, convinced.
"Hmmm….Okay Mr. Big Man….I agree" Doctor Octopus said.
"Obviously... that's what he pays me for" Shocker finally said.
"Hmmm….I'm not sure...I don't want to cause any more trouble...I have enough trouble with the law...And I only want one thing in life..." Sandman was about to refuse until somebody interrupted him.
"...The only thing that matters to you in life is your dear daughter, isn't it? How cute and amazing..."
"Hey! How do you know about my daughter?!" Sandman asked angrily.
"I said I've been seeing everyone...Including you, Flint Marko...I know what you're doing is for her...Listen carefully...If you work with us and take out Spider- Guppy...there will be no one to prevent you from obtaining the money that your daughter needs so much to live...So...do you accept or not? Think of your poor sick daughter, Mr. Dad of the Year..." Flint Marko felt cornered by this emotional manipulation. His daughter was all he had.
"(sigh) I'm into this" Sandman accepted reluctantly.
"Perfect! You will be led by Doctor Octopus, the most capable being of all of you. You will hunt Spider-Guppy. Please don't let me down" Saying that, Big Man's hologram disappeared. Immediately, Shocker decided to destroy the cells with his shockwave weapons, where his colleagues were imprisoned. The mercenary handed the Vulture's flying suit to Adrian. He also removed the device that nullified the powers of the Rhino, Electro, and the Sandman. Finally, Shocker destroyed the wall where Doctor Octopus's arms were disabled. The tentacles worked again.
"My babies….are back" Doc Ock said as he used his arms to start the escape. Finally the six villains met and managed to carry out their prison break successfully. Now, no one could stand up to this fearsome team of united villains "Hahaha…..And in this way...The Sinister Six are born!"
While all this was going on, it seemed to everyone else that it would be a normal day. Through the center of the city, we can see that crime did not seem to have a rest. In one of the banks there was a very delicate situation. All personnel and civilians were in a hostage situation where ski-masked robbers armed with AR-15 rifles and MP5 submachine guns. Those in charge of the safe were forced to put all the money in the sacks that they were transporting to an armored truck that belonged to the armed criminals. All the innocent civilians were terrified and the criminals enjoyed scaring them.
"Haha! I love honestly earned money" One of the thieves said in a mocking tone.
"That's how it is. Looks like we've hit the lottery" One of his partners added.
"Shut up, idiots! Remember that we will only earn 25 percent. The rest belongs to the boss" Another criminal said seriously.
"It has to be a joke. We do all the dirty work while the boss is comfortable in his chair. It's not fair" He complained.
"Do you want to discuss it with the boss to his face?" The mercenary asked. His partner gulped. While they were arguing, some of the armed robbers began to mysteriously disappear.
"Guys! We must take what we have and get the hell out of here!" Another thief appeared scared.
"No way! We still need to get more millions of dollars" A masked man ordered.
"Our companions are disappearing...Sir...HE is here!" The scared thief said. The masked man leading the robbery decided to see the ceiling and saw how several of his companions were glued to the ceiling and walls with a mysterious substance. They had their mouths covered and were covered by cobwebs.
"Sh*t! He is here! You two will come with me and we will take everything to the truck. And you three stay here. Prevent someone from moving and if someone wants to run away, kill them. And don't hesitate to kill Spider-Guppy!" The head of the operation decided to leave with bags of money along with two colleagues. Three other criminals decided to prepare their weapons to threaten the hostages and kill Spider-Guppy when he appears. The mercenaries were scared. They felt that they could be the next to be captured. Unbeknownst to them, one of the three was trapped by two webbing nets that covered his mouth. And the other two got scared and thought about shooting until some cobweb loops appeared that took away their weapons and a mysterious figure quickly appeared to hit them.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
"Damn! We can no longer take them with us. Start the truck now!" The commander ordered quickly. His henchmen complied and the truck started immediately. They drove so fast they thought they got away with it.
"Hahaha! We did it, sir! The boss will be happy with our work!" One of the thieves said confidently.
"Uhhh….Hmmmm…S…Sir…" The driver said worriedly before they noticed that the only exit was covered in cobwebs. He decided to stop the truck.
"Let's get out of here, the police are going to corner us" The head said before they left the truck. But somebody was waiting for them.
"I do not believe that you have made a legitimate bank transaction...And I am sure that you are not from the banking security"
"Spider Guppy! Kill him!" The three thieves started shooting the hero with their weapons. He dodges bullets without much trouble. He fires two web loops to cause the two shooters to collide with each other and fall unconscious from the blow, leaving the leader of the operation alone. He didn't think much of shooting the hero with his rifle, but a few shots of cobwebs caused the weapon to end up covered in the smeared substance, rendering the weapon useless.
"I think you shouldn't have done that, my friend..." Without much effort, he leaves the leader hanging upside down thanks to one of his webs. It didn't take long for the Police Department officers to arrive to arrest the defeated robbers. Normally, Spider-Guppy would withdraw from the scene. But this time, he decided to meet the police commander in charge: Commander Stacey. A blond, blue-eyed adult male guppy.
"Spider-Guppy, it's a relief to have you as a help. But please, leave us some work" Commander Stacey said with a smile.
"This is the third bank robbery in two weeks. They all have a pattern in common. Do you have any idea who they work for?" Spider-Guppy asked seriously.
"Our investigations indicate that they are members of the criminal gang led by Hammerhead" The officer commented about their recent investigations.
"Hammerhead…..Organized crime has always been difficult to deal with. My specialty is supervillains. But I swear I'll do my best to find Hammerhead" Spider-Guppy commented.
"Hmmm…Good luck with that. There is something very big hidden in all this. I doubt it's just him" The captain said his concern.
"Changing the subject...Have you found any clues to Co...I mean...from The Lizard?" Spider-Guppy asked with the hopes of hearing something new.
"I'm sorry, Spider Guppy. Progress has been minimal. The situation worsens due to the disappearance of the agents in charge of the search for the Lizard" Captain Stacey told him.
"(sigh) That doesn't sound good at all. Alright, I'll be in touch. Please let me know if you find anything" Wasting no more time, the masked hero simply swung away with his webs. He simply decided to sit on the edge of a very tall building to rest and remove his mask without problems.
"It's been months now and no sign of Doctor Connors...And it's also been a month and a half since the incident with Nonny...Things haven't been very good..." Gil told himself about his recent situation.
Ring! Ring!
"Huh? Hmmm….Hello?"
"Hi, Gilly!"
"M-Molly?!"
"I hope you haven't forgotten our date...friendly date of course!" Molly said that quickly to avoid misunderstanding.
"Uhhh….Oh no! I would never forget something so important. Although...I must admit that you surprised me. It's... the first time you've asked me to go out with you... alone. It feels weird" Gil admitted with a blush in his face.
"Y-Yeah…M-Me too…But you know? It's that I want to be with someone right now...And I thought of you...So...We'll see each other in the East Park in half an hour. See you" Molly ended the call.
"Wow….It seems that not everything is so bad in my life after all...Wait...East park? That's on the other side of town! Alright here I go!" He said quickly before he put on his mask and he began swinging around town quickly to avoid delays in his official "no-date".
Some time later, he managed to arrive minutes before Molly arrived. He had time to quickly take off his hero suit on the sly and get to the meeting point with his best friend. Finally, Molly Jane Watson arrived with the smile he loved so much.
"Hello Gilly. I'm sorry for being late" Molly apologized.
"Haha don´t worry. I'm rather sorry for being early" Gil said that joke and both of them giggled at the same time. They both decided to walk slowly, side by side. The conversations were simple but pleasant. Or at least, until they touched on a certain topic.
"Gilly….How have you felt all this time? It's been a while since Doctor Octo...I mean, Nonny" Molly asked worriedly. He just stayed silent. He would never forget Nonny's accident and the day he returned as the infamous Doc Ock. He felt guilty for what happened. So much so that there were nights that he did not sleep.
"(sigh) It still hurts, you know. I never had blood brothers. And Goby and Nonny have been like those brothers I never had. And well...I feel like I lost a brother that day. Goby continues to suffer and that's why I've been more aware of him than ever...And how are the girls? How is Oona especially?" Gil said with a low tone.
"Deema and Zooli have assimilated it well. It still hurts, me too. But the three of us have decided to be strong for Oona's sake. And regarding her... We have decided that the three of us would be with her in her mourning stage. Today Zooli and Deema are with her. But Oona suffers too much. She...sometimes visits Nonny in jail. She still hopes that the good boy he was is still there" Molly explained with a sad tone.
"And what do you think about that?" Gil asked curiously. It took his friend a few seconds to give a correct answer.
"(sigh) To be honest, I highly doubt it...But, there's always a shred of hope" Molly commented.
"Molly... can I ask you something? With all this, do you think Spider-Guppy is guilty of what happened to Nonny?" Gil asked her. He wanted to remove that doubt that tormented him every day and night.
"It's complicated. I say that Spider-Guppy is not to blame. He is a person with superpowers, not a divine being. He tries to save us all, even though he has limits and I understand that he can't always save everyone. But I don't blame Oona either. I don't know how I would react if Spider-Guppy couldn't save my family or friends...I don't even want to think about it" Molly analyzed all her points.
"I bet Spider-Guppy would like more people to be more understandable" Gil said discreetly.
"It's just that Spider-Guppy is a symbol of hope for this city, for all of us. Obviously no one wants to see him fail. But...(sigh) That's a wonderful thing about him: He always wants to do what's best and what's right for everyone. He is just amazing" Molly said with a lovely tone of voice.
"Hehehe….Looks like someone's in love with Spider-Guppy" Gil mocked her a bit.
"Me? In love with Spider-Guppy? Please….He is very popular. Surely there are many girls who are crazy about him. I feel that what I feel for him is something more...platonic. You know, admire a famous person a lot. Obviously, he wouldn't notice me" She said nervously while she touched her hair.
"And why do you think so? If you are a wonderful person" Gil asked with his red cheeks.
"I'm not sure. It's hard to find a person who wants a genuine commitment. Ever since I broke up with Dash, I thought I'd look up online dating. I've talked to interesting guys but so far nothing serious" The pink-haired guppy said.

"That sounded beautiful. Gil, do you know someone who makes you feel that?" Molly asked curiously. The blue-haired boy gulped, a little nervously.
"(Very good, Gil Parker! This is your chance...Don't waste it!)" He thought it before he opened his mouth "Y-Yeah….There is someone special that makes me feel..."

A loud explosion was heard from a few streets not far from them. Smoke began to appear near the risk area. Many people began to run in panic.
"Oh! That came from the center of the city!" Molly said worriedly.
"Oh no! Molly, find a safe place. I have to go now" Gil ordered seriously.
"Where are you going, Gilly? What is so important?" She asked.
"...Molly….Right now, my aunt is there" Gil remembered. She had gone to buy some important things in the center of the city, where the explosion was heard.
"It just can't be! I will go with you! I will not leave you alone!" The girl said determined. But he intervened.
"No…..Find a safe place now!" He ordered seriously.
"Are you crazy, Gilly? Gil? Gil!" She called out to him many times, but he ignored her and managed to escape and disappear into the crowd.
"(I'm sorry Molly. But I won't let more loved ones get hurt because of me. Alright, I'll go see what's going on...And most importantly...See that Aunt May is okay)" The boy said all this in his mind before finding a good place to use his suit. Spider-Guppy must get there fast to find out what was going on.
Meanwhile, everything seemed normal in the city center. Sweet and loving Aunt May was doing her weekly grocery shopping for the house. She was packing the purchased products in a reusable bag while she had many things on her mind.
"(sigh) How I miss you, Ben. It really is a challenge to take care of Gil and keep the house at the same time. Gil always helps me, but I don't want to be a burden to him. Also, he has become quite mysterious. He doesn't usually give me many details about what he does besides his studies and work... (sigh) I shouldn't worry. He is a good boy. I just hope he's enjoying that date with Molly Jane Watson hehehe" May talked with herself. She was about to call a taxi to go back to her house in the suburbs until something happened at that moment.
BOOM!
Light explosions went off down the street. People began to run and seek shelter. May decided to go back to the store to hide. At that time, a known flying figure was wreaking havoc and destruction for no reason.
"Hahahaha! I'm back, fools! Prison wasn't enough to stop my crimes!" He was the Vulture. He was flying through the center of town, shooting his explosive metal feathers causing property damage.
"Did the bird get out of its cage? I'll take care of returning it to the zoo" Spider-Guppy made his entrance, taking down the winged criminal with a kick to the stomach while swinging.
"Ugh! We meet again, little spider! This time, I won't let you live anymore" Vulture said confidently.
" I beat you once. This time it will be the same...AGH!" He said confidently before he received a powerful punch. It seems that his overconfidence left him vulnerable. Plus he didn't pay attention to his sixth sense.
"Hahaha! That felt so good! But I'm not satisfied yet. I still have to break your bones!"
"Ugh…Hmmm…R-Rhino?! This is new. You two will come with me" He was prepared to fight with both of them.
"Zap Zap!"
"AAAAGH!" Spider-Guppy was shot with an electric shock that caused him to fall to his knees.
"Too bad, spider! Did it hurt?"
"Ugh…E-Electro? What the hell are you do…UGH!" He couldn't finish his sentence because a huge fist of sand hit him. And before he could get up, a shockwave shot knocked him into a wall.
"Hmmm not bad, Shocker"
"Your skills are better than I expected, Mr. Marko"
"Huh?...Sandman….Shocker….It must be a bad joke…" Spider-Guppy got up weakly before he felt the vibration in his head. That is, he detected a threat in time. He jumped quickly and saw that he managed to dodge two robotic tentacles... but another one grabbed him in the air and threw him violently against the asphalt. The masked superhero woke up in pain only to see another bad surprise.
"Greetings, Spider-Guppy. It's such a pleasure to meet you again after such a long time"
"N-No….Doc Ock?!" He was shocked to see his old friend again.
"Surprised to see me again... Or rather, surprised to SEE US again?" Doctor Octopus said before the other villains started to cornered him.
"Ugh…Ughh….W-What are you doing? What does this all mean?" He asked tiredly.
"Spider-Guppy, the reunion we've been waiting for has finally arrived. I have noticed how you managed to defeat us one by one. However, we all have something in common: We are sick of you and you getting in the way of our goals. I gathered the most dangerous criminals in the city for only one goal: Destroy you!" Doc Ock explained his plan.
"That's how it is. With you off the map, no one will be able to stop us" Shocker said seriously.
"You'll have a little of your own medicine, little spider!" Rhino added angrily.
"First, I'll kill you... and Norman will be next" Vulture commented.
"I'll make sure to give you a slow and painful death" Electro prepared his electric lightning.
"Do you see, spider? You have provoked each one of us. And now, we have the advantage because we fight together. You will feel the vengeful wrath of... The Sinister Six" Doctor Octopus said with an evil smile.
"Sinister….Six…" He said weakly.
"Let's end him once and for all" Sandman transformed his hands into two hammers.
"Hehe….I want to see all of you try" Spider-Guppy said with confidence before jumping high to escape from his vulnerable position and into a safe area.
"Your overconfidence will be what will lead to your downfall. Gentlemen, it's time to show him what we're capable of. GO GET HIM!" Doctor Octopus ordered before a hard and epic fight started.
The great battle has begun! Spider Guppy vs. The Sinister Six! This will truly be our hero's most difficult battle so far. Because now he had to be alert for his six opponents. Each one of them was deadly in his own way. Vulture was the air support of the enemy, which he was in charge of attacking him from height using his metallic feathers, projectiles and claws. Electro also flew and supported him by shooting his electrical discharges at Spider-Guppy. The hero had to dodge them at all costs. Rhino was brute force, so he would attack with his fists and the lethal horn from him. Sandman supported him with brute force using his sand powers to use fists, hammers, spiked balls to hit him. Shocker specialized in ranged attacks, shooting shockwaves from him to damage Spider-Guppy from a safe distance. Doctor Octopus was the most cunning and intelligent of the group, so he stalked the hero with his mechanical arms. Spider-Guppy needed a lot of physical effort and concentration to dodge and block the simultaneous attack of the six villains at the same time. It really was an odd battle for the hero. Although he managed to dodge the attack of one of them, he received the blow of another. Gil had never faced anything like it before. This event resulted in such a beating for the hero. Finally, Spider-Guppy was subdued by Sandman while the others were in front of him.
"I must admit that this was a disappointing encounter. I hoped he would last longer" Shocker said seriously.
"Our plan has been a success" Vulture celebrated.
"Hahaha! In your face, Spider-Guppy!" Rhino taunted before kneeing him hard into Spider-Guppy's stomach.
"AGH!" He had fallen, but the Sandman was holding him to keep him on his knees.
"You see? It's no longer fun when the defeated is you. I see you ran out of jokes, little spider" Electro commented with a mocking tone of voice.
"Looks like this teamwork nonsense was a success" Doc Ock commented with his own analysis.
"I think we get rid of him now" Sandman wanted to use his power to finish him off.
"Patience, my dear sandy friend...He doesn't deserve a quick death. Unfortunately, he had taken the most unexpected person possible.
"Ahhhh! Let me go!"
"(N-NO! AUNT MAY!)" Spider-Guppy screamed in his mind. Doc Ock had taken the poor old lady, May Parker. She was terrified to see that she was surrounded by Octopus's arms.
"Gentlemen, this is the way to break a superhero: Make an innocent suffer to their face...You know the worst, Spider-Guppy? I'm not going to kill her... yet. First, I will make her suffer. Let's see how much this old lady can take" Doctor Octopus began ordering his arms to stalk poor Aunt May intimidatingly.
"Hey, don't you think we're crossing the line? I mean, she's just a poor old lady" Sandman asked nervously.
"I only see her as a little collateral damage" Doc Ock said before he tried to hurt her. What none of them thought was that it got personal for Spider-Guppy.
"N…N…NOOOO!" Spider-Guppy's anger was unleashed and he broke free of the Sandman's grasp. Immediately, he blinded Doctor Octopus with a web over his eyes. Taking advantage of the temporary blindness, he managed to evade the other sinisters to take May carefully and away from danger. What worried him is that the older lady was suffering from agitation and rapid breathing, the effect of a panic attack "You are safe now...Breathe deep and slow"
"I..I…Th-Thanks, Spider-Guppy…I…" May said a bit shocked.
"Call the paramedics now. I don't want you to get serious... I'll take care of those ruffians" Spider-Guppy said before we went to fight against the Sinister Six "Did you want to make me angry? Do you know something? You made it" He said seriously.
"Finish him off, gentlemen!" Doc Ock ordered loudly.
This time, Spider-Guppy was fighting for real. Rhino tried to hit him with both of his fists, but he dodged and landed a heavy punch to the face of the person inside the suit, leaving him confused. Vulture tried to grab it like a bird of prey captures its victims. But the hero used that as a trap for the Vulture to accidentally hit Shocker.
"Agh! Watch who you hit, bird!" Shocker complained. Electro and Sandman coordinated attacks to stop our hero. But Gil was cunning and used the Sandman as an electrical insulator to prevent damage from electric shocks.
"Grrrrrr!" Sandman felt a bit of pain.
"I'll deal with that spider once and for all" Doctor Octopus wanted to intervene in the fight. But just as his arms were ready to attack the hero from behind, he received a communication on his electrical device.
"Doc Ock, there's been a little change of plans. I need you and your claims to retire and we meet again at the meeting point"
"Mr. Big Man, we're about to take down Spider-Guppy. Just give me a few more minutes..." Doctor Octopus said confidently.
"Leave Spider-Guppy for now. I know that you are able to kill him at any time. But for now, let him live. I need to see you now. They are direct orders"
"Grrrrrr! As you said…." Doctor Octopus reluctantly agreed "Gentlemen, leave Spider-Guppy now"
"But we can finish him once and for all!" Vulture complained.
"The plans have changed. We'll take down Spider-Guppy another day. Let's go" Doc Ock ordered. They all thought it over until they all accepted in a bad way, except one.
"NO! I will not miss this unique opportunity! GRAAAAHHHH" Rhino wanted to finish off Spider-Guppy with his horn, but Electro simply stopped him with a light discharge that damaged him "AGH!"
"Well done, Electro…" Doctor Octopus said before he looked at Spider-Guppy "...You're saved for now...I want you to know that this game is just beginning...Next time you won't be so lucky. Let's go, Sinister Six" The boy with the robot arms ordered. This time, all the villains immediately retreated. Spider-Guppy was just breathing slowly and he felt tired and beaten from the previous beating. The fight was really complicated and he had lost. He didn't know why they decided to leave when they could finish him off. For now, he wouldn't ask any more questions. There were more important things for now.
"Aunt May…."
Gil arrived at the hospital where he was contacted about his Aunt May's case. He had been notified that she was having a panic attack. Finally, he arrived at the medical center in his civilian identity. Luckily, the attention was fast. A doctor approached him.
"Are you related to May Parker?" The doctor asked.
"Yes, I am her nephew. Her only relative. What happened to her? Is she okay?" He asked worriedly.
"Well, she's not well at all. When she got to the emergency room, she suffered a panic heart attack from a traumatic event. She is stable for now, but I'm afraid she will have to stay in the hospital for a long time. We don't want to risk the life of an elderly lady" The doctor said seriously.
"...How long will she last here?" Gil asked.
"I couldn't tell you for sure. Until she's safe and out of harm's way. I hope you understand" He said seriously.
"...I get it….Can I see her?" Parker asked again.
"At this time we cannot accept visitors until she is safe. We'll let you know when we find something new" The medic said with sincerity.
Gil felt bad about what his beloved aunt was suffering. Without discussing anything else, he left the medical center and went directly to his house. He did not tell anyone about his aunt's condition. Only Molly just because she asked for cell. He knew that his life was getting more complicated every day. On the one hand, Gil Parker was suffering from the loss of friends through incidents and was gaining less and less trust. And like Spider-Guppy, his enemies were growing stronger with unexpected alliances. Everything was getting worse every day.
"Everything is going from bad to worse...For now, what worries me is these new Sinister Six. If I want everyone in town and my friends to be safe, I'm going to have to get stronger and better" Gil said before he plans to improve his physical abilities and add upgrades for his dispositives like upgrading his web shooters. Despite that, this is just the start of bigger threats.
Wow….What a crushing defeat, right? Will there be a chapter that Gil does not suffer? I guess that's the burden Spiderman really carries. Every chapter something sad happens. And believe me, it won't be the last time.

As Spider-Ham said in Into the Spiderverse: "The hardest thing about this job is...you can't always save everybody" It's sad to know that Gil is no exception. And I'm sorry to report that we will continue to see things like this. Let's just hope Gil knows Spiderman's greatest virtue: "So no matter how many hits I take, I always find a way to come back"
PrimroseRaspberry: Hello, friend! It really was sad to see Nonny become the infamous Doctor Octopus, even though it was something we all knew was inevitable. Still, that doesn't stop hurting. Oona is really worrying and we will see if she manages to order her thoughts and feelings over time. On the other hand, it will be difficult to know if the villains can be healed. But nothing is impossible.

We will look at an old abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Where it happened to be the temporary hideout of the infamous members of the association of supervillains: The Sinister Six. Some were questioning Octopus' decision for not taking down Spider-Guppy when they had the perfect opportunity.
"This is unacceptable! We already had him cornered!" Rhino shouted angrily.
"Yeah! Why waste this opportunity?" Electro asked bothered.
"Those were the Big Man's orders" Doctor Octopus defended himself.
"Are you completely sure?" Shocker asked confusedly.
"I hope your "kind" side isn't getting to you...Nonny" Vulture asked with a smirk.
"Hmmm…..Do you want to prove that I am "good", old scavenger?" Doc Ock asked, preparing his arms in an intimidating way.
"Enough, gentlemen...I ordered Doctor Octopus to stop" It was the hologram of the mysterious subject called Big Man
"You finally decided to show up" Sandman commented.
"But do not have sense. You said you wanted Spider-Guppy dead. And now that we've been able to eliminate him, you say you want him alive. That sounds very contradictory of you" Vulture asked seriously.
"Yeah! That makes no sense!" Electro added.
"I see that no one understands. All this has an explanation. This was all a test. He wanted to see if you guys were able to defeat him. And oh wow! congratulations! I see if they can destroy it whenever they want. The catch is, I don't need him killed right now"
"It was all an evaluation to see if we are competent enough to defeat him...I see" Doc Ock analyzed.
"Precisely. Listen, I need to move some pieces before I get Spider-Guppy out of the way. This wall-crawling phenomenon is still useful to me. So when the time comes, I'll order you to take care of him"

"And good? What will we do during all this time?" Electro asked curiously.
"Well...Since I'm in charge according to Big Man...It's time for me to take control around here. This place will be perfect for our base of operations. I have big plans and we can work on them as long as Big Man isn't bothering us" Doctor Octopus said seriously. The supervillains agreed and went to work for the terrifying Doctor Octopus. While all this was going on, we'll get a peek into the mysterious Big Man's secret hideout. The unknown subject had his own plans as well.
