Chapter 3: A Pale Misery (3/3)
Fox Boy:
"COME OUT RIGHT NOW!"
The night was about to come, and a blizzard was starting to from outside. The cold was increasing and so did the darkness. Fox Boy was currently inside Jester's helicopter with Jesse, Dina and Ellie.
Thankfully, all of his equipment was inside of it. Reaper made him come into this mission with as little as possible as he wanted to test Fox Boy's resourcefulness.
His black tactical vest that he was wearing over his duffle coat, with four detachable parts can be combined according to custom, one Flashlight pouch that had a small flashlight inside, two Pistol holsters with his handgun and revolver in it, three removable bullet holders carrying magazines for his guns, four heavy adjustable belts.
His black tactical gloves, which are much better than the ones that he was wearing since they were designed to protect his hands from the cold, cuts, and abrasions, being able to shield his hands from potential harm without compromising dexterity and tactile feel.
His protective arm guards, which can be used to defend against bladed weapons.
His assault rifle, a heavily modified FN F2000 equipped with a 1.5 magnified telescopic sight, fed from a NATO jacketed magazine with a 30-round cartridge capacity using 5.56 NATO ammunition. Its bullpup magazine behind the trigger configuration gives the weapon increased accuracy in a relatively standard-sized package. The rifle features a binary trigger mechanism that allows the user to fire a single round, by tapping the trigger, or to release a steady stream of bullets while the trigger is held down. It also possessed a Shotgun Attachment, this attachment provided the F2000 with a semi-automatic tandem under-barrel shotgun that carried 5 rounds of ammunition. The ammo used are 12-gauge shells, perfect for close-quarter offensive situations, especially since they were armor piercing.
His revolver, a Magnum Research BFR, a single-action revolver manufactured by Magnum Research. Modelled after the Colt Single Action Army, it is made from stainless steeland chambered for a number of very powerful pistol calibers. The revolver was silver plated with a pearloid grip, a 5 inch barrel, 6-shot chambered in .44 Remington Magnum. Fox Boy primarily uses it for hunting or for dealing with certain kinds of infected.
He also got his handgun sound suppressor, which was an aluminium barrel shroud which also incorporates a laser.
But at the moment, his equipment didn't matter.
What mattered was the fact that Venus was right outside of the helicopter and by the unpleasant noises that he was hearing on the outside, her pets were with her.
"Shit," Ellie cursed in a low voice. "What are we gonna do?" She asked them.
"Shhh..." Jesse signalled her to be quiet, before approaching his head to speak with them. "She may not know we are here." He pointed out to them.
"Fox Boy," Dina touched his arm. "What did she say?" She asked him.
"Come out right now." Fox Boy answered her question.
"Okay," Jesse spoke after hearing that. "Go outside and see what she wants then." He instructed Fox Boy.
"Ummm... Jesse, I don't know if that's a good idea." Dina tried to argue against the idea. But before any of them could speak. Ellie moved her head to the side and widened her eyes and made a frightened expression. "What?" The pretty girl asked the auburn haired girl.
Jesse, Dina and Fox Boy move their heads to see what just frightened Ellie. Jesse nearly jumped back after being startled by what he saw and Dina had to cover her mouth to not scream in horror. Fox Boy barely reacted to what he saw.
In front of the helicopter, there was one of Venus's pets. It was basically an infected that Venus created, she basically force-fed a few pregnant animals ingest with the internal organs of a living stage two infected or a Clicker as some like to call it. Then she placed what came out of the animals inside of a chamber and injected them with a chemical gas and strange concoctions that caused them to grow at a rapid rate. Sadly due to the absurd growth rate, it caused them to be deformed to the point of them looking like a giant blob of parts mixed in the wrong order, made it worse due to the humanoid parts of the prisoners that were served to them during their growth phase. They are incredibly dangerous because despite their size, they are really fast and charge at you like an enraged bull. Alongside the fact that they can spit bodily fluids that burn like acid.
"Ah, it's a Blob Baby." Fox Boy informed them. Blob Baby is the name that Venus gave it to them.
"Blob Baby...?" Ellie asked as she shaked in fear.
"Yes, because it looks like a big blob and because it's practically a baby." Fox Boy explained to her.
"W-wh-what?" Dina stuttered as the Blob Baby stared at them with something that resembled a big eyeball, but Fox Boy knew that it wasn't really one.
"Fox Boy, if you don't come out right now..." He heard Venus speak in German. "I'LL FEED YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND TO THE BABIES!" The masked woman yelled at him.
"What did she say?" Ellie asked as she stood up in order to get away from the front as Jesse and Dina were doing.
"That she will feed my new girlfriend to the babies if I don't come out right now." He answered Ellie's question but he was confused. "I think she is referring to Dina since she is my new friend and she's a girl." That was what he assumed to be the definition of "Girlfriend".
"Fuck..." Ellie cursed, before she stood in front of the albino boy. "Look, you gotta go out there."
"What!?" Dina asked her in response. "Are you crazy? He can't go out there with that thing outside!" She immediately argued against the idea while pointing at the Blob Baby.
"Dina," Jesse touched her shoulder. "We don't have a choice, she is going to make that thing to attack us if he doesn't go out there." He was right.
"Jesse, this people are a bunch fucking psychopaths." Dina immediately rebuffed. "We don't know what the hell she's going to do with him if he goes out there." Fox Boy actually knew what she was going to do, but he didn't want to interrupt their conversation.
"Dina, no offense, but that isn't our problem." Ellie told her in response. With Dina looking at her with a face that indicates her to be mad for some reason. Ellie also made a strange face in response before looking at Fox Boy. "Look, if you like Dina and Jesse as you claim you do, then please go outside before she does something with them."
"Okay." Fox Boy instantly complied and moved to the helicopter door.
Ellie Williams:
"Hey, wait-" Ellie immediately tried to stop him because she wanted to hide with Jesse and Dina inside one of those boxes first, but the marked boy opened the door before she could stop him. Ellie honestly hated doing that, but Jesse and Dina's safety was more important to her right now and considering all of the horrible shit that she saw his people doing, she really preferred to not make any changes. "Oh fuck!" But as soon as Fox Boy opened the door. The four of them were greeted by the creepy looking woman that was standing right outside.
Jesse, Ellie and Dina immediately pointed their handguns at her, but she didn't even flinch. Until she slowly lifted her hand up, before putting her index finger up and slowly moving it left and right, signalling them to not do it. Before she pointed at three different directions one by one.
Moving her head to see, Ellie realized that she was pointing at the blob looking infected. "If any of you shoot," Fox Boy said. "Blob Babies will attack." She was still beyond disturbed by that name and she was really hoping that it didn't mean what she thought it meant.
The creepy woman called Venus, then signalled Fox Boy to get closer. And he did it right away, without saying a word. Ellie simply looked at Jesse and Dina, Jesse had his gun ready as he observed the infected that were around the area. Dina seemed to be way more concerned about the masked boy than anything else, as she actually had her gun pointing at the masked woman called Venus as they watched Fox Boy approach her.. The woman was even more disturbing up close, the strange white robe that she was wearing seemed to be some type of raincoat, she also had long white leather boots on her and white gloves on her hands. But the thing that definitely stood out the most, was the mask, a very disturbing white mask that resembled a dollface with several cracks on it, but Ellie also noticed that it had lipstick on the lips, but unlike the other masks, her eyes were visible. Her eyes are red... Ellie noticed as her red eyes were very visible, which only made her look even more disturbing.
Eventually, Fox Boy got close enough and stood in front of her. "Auf deinen Knien." Venus spoke to him in another language that they did not understand. But they assumed it had something to do with kneeling down, since it was exactly what Fox Boy did. What the fuck is she doing? Ellie asked herself as she was expecting something awful to happen. An expectation that Dina and Jesse were visibly shared since they were both watching in anticipation with frightened expressions. "Hast du diese Gesichtslosen getötet?" Venus asked something to the Albino Boy.
"Ja." Whatever she asked, he confirmed by saying a word while nodding his head in confirmation.
Venus simply stood there, motionless for a whole minute. Leaving the three of them in deep worry since they had no idea what the hell were the two masked individuals talking about.
Until.
The woman called Venus removed Fox Boy's hoodie and started to pat his head like he was a dog or something. Causing Ellie, Dina and Jesse to become deeply confused with everything. Which only increased when Fox Boy wrapped his arms around the creepy woman and pressed his head on her stomach. What the fuck is going on? Ellie asked herself in deep confusion. "Endlich etwas Initiative ergreifend, wird Reaper stolz sein." The woman kept on speaking while stroking his head gently once again.
"Ja?" Fox Boy asked her something.
"Ja." And she responded. But then, she grabbed his head and moved it to face hers. "Aber du weißt, dass du dafür bezahlen musst, oder?"
"Ich weiss" Suddenly, the mood changed strangely and somehow, Ellie sensed that something really bad was about to happen.
Venus then took a step back and slowly reached inside her robe with her right hand. Jesse, Ellie and Dina immediately pointed their guns at her as she pulled out a strange looking dagger from inside her robe. The dagger had a characteristically undulating style of blade, seemingly being in the shape of a flame or something like that. But before they could have any proper reaction, one of the blob infected stood in front of the door, causing them to nearly fire at it. But Jesse stopped them before they could do it, as it simply stood there and didn't attack them. Ellie then remembered that Fox Boy said that they would attack if they fired.
"Ziehe deinen Mantel aus." The woman said to Fox Boy, but they had no idea what it meant.
Joel Miller:
"You have precisely an hour." The man with the gas mask informed them. "Use it wisely." That was the last thing he said before closing the door of the Tipsy Bison on their faces.
Joel Miller, Tommy Miller and Maria Miller were all standing at the entrance of the Tipsy Bison, a bar that they used to be a place that they had fond memories of, but now, it was simply a place where they would have nightmares about it for the rest of their lives. As the image of the dead bodies of man,woman and children that they knew and interacted with on a daily basis would be the only thing that came to mind when they thought about that place.
Maria was crying, she was doing her best to try to contain it but it was hopeless.
Tommy seemed to be on the verge of having a panic attack as he uses a wall to keep himself standing because of his injuries.
Joel was shaking. This was not the first time that he had to make this type of decision and he was sure that he would never be affected by them again. But this was a whole different story. Despite his desire to sit down in order to try to digest what just happened, he didn't have time. He held his revolver, which was given back to him by the one called Reaper and strangely, he actually loaded it for him before handing it back to him. Then he moved his head up and noticed that there was a blizzard going on, and it was night already, which made things even more difficult as he had no idea where Ellie was. I'm pretty sure that he is going to keep his end of the bargain, so I have an hour.
Suddenly, the door of the Tipsy Bison opened once again. Revealing the one called Reaper once again. "One last thing, if you are searching for the ones called Ellie, Jesse and Dina." The three of them moved their heads to look at the masked man. "They are all currently at the Jackson Cemetery being held by Venus." That made the three of them look at each other with shocked expressions. "When you get there, just tell her that I am waiting for her and she will leave you all be." Reaper informed them. "And I would hurry if I were you, because you three already wasted two minutes of the time I gave you and I simply don't see the point of wasting it grieving when you can do that later." The man advised them before shutting the door once again.
Joel, Tommy and Maria simply stared at one another again, before Maria decided to speak up. "We don't have much time." She wiped her tears before moving towards Tommy. "We have to get out here."
Tommy simply looked at his wife before speaking. "You wanna leave!?" He clearly didn't want to leave Jackson like this.
"Tommy," Joel decided to speak up. "These people... They are worse than anything we ever dealt with." He told his brother. "We don't have a chance against them."
Tommy opened his mouth, clearly wanting to argue with him. But no words came out and he closed it right away, because he knew that Joel was right.
Maria simply took Tommy's arm and said. "I don't want to leave Jackson like this either, but what choice do we have?" It wasn't a question.
Tommy sighed in deep frustration, but he nodded afterwards in agreement. "Let's go, the clock is ticking."
Joel nodded before he aimed his revolver forward as a precaution because these people were very unpredictable. "Where are we supposed to go after the cemetery?" He asked the couple.
"Although we mostly use horses, we have a few cars stored in case of the necessity of a long trip or... well, something like this." Maria informed Joel as he helped Tommy move.
"What kind of cars?" Joel asked. Horses would be preferable, but the chances of them finding any now was pretty slim, so a car that fits all of them is the second best option.
"A friend of mine, Jonny." Tommy started to speak as he moved with difficulty next to Joel. "He was a paranoid guy, always claiming that this place would fall apart eventually..." His brother seemed sad, mostly because it turns out that he was correct. But he quickly shaked the sadness off. "He had this Van that he made a bunch of modifications on and I think we can all fit in it."
"Are you sure it's still there?" Joel asked him.
"Yes." Tommy seemed completely certain. "But, where the hell would we even go?" He asked the obvious question.
"I have an idea, but let's discuss it after we get out of here." Maria informed them. They decided to not ask further and focus on the task.
The three of them moved forward as the cold blizzard fell upon them. That was the worst moment possible for this to be happening and the dark night did not help either. The streets were dark, making the once pleasant place seem almost dreadful as the Quarantine Zones. Something that made him really depressed. These last four years, felt like having a normal life again with an occasional moment of danger.
But now, it was all gone. Joel was sad about that, but he was honestly much more sad for Ellie. She was so happy, things were turning okay for her, now she will be forced to go back out there. With another trauma on her back. Despite that, it wasn't the time for worrying about that, it was time to focus on getting out there before it was too late.
Their surroundings were quiet, too quiet for his taste. Keeping his revolver at hand at all times, Joel led the way as Tommy and Maria were right behind them.
"NOOOO!" But they stopped moving when they heard someone yelling. Joel aimed his revolver as he saw someone coming out of an alleyway, walking backwards as if he was getting away from someone. "NO! GET AWAY!" A man whom Joel couldn't recognize because of the dark, yelled. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" To their shock and horror, out of nowhere, a strange blast of fire came into the man's, causing him to scream in complete agony as the flames engulfed him completely. "AAAAHHH! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! AAAAAAHHHHHH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The man screamed in agony as he attempted to put out the fire that was burning him alive, it shocked them how strong the flame was despite the heavy snow falling on him.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Alongside the agonizing screams, there was also a maniacal laughter accompanying it. It only took a few seconds for someone else to come out of the alleyway. Joel immediately pointed his revolver at the person. "HAHAHAHAHAHAH!" The one that came out of the alleyway, was none other than the one dressed as a clown that he saw on those videos with Maria and the others.
"What the hell is that?!" Tommy asked them.
"The last one of the masked ones." Maria informed him as Joel was prepared to shoot if needed.
As the fire that was roasting the poor man, the one called Jester stood in front of it. The flames illuminated the individual and Joel had to admit, the outfit should look ridiculous but he was quite terrifying, especially since he was carrying what was clearly some type of flamethrower. Suddenly, he moved his head to look at them with the shadow of his mask making him look quite menacing.
Jester then suddenly lifted his left arm up. "Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock." He then imitated the movement of a clock with his arm, making them deeply confused. "Clock is ticking and when the time is up..." He pointed at them before he burned the poor man's corpse even more with the flamethrower. "We're gonna have a hell of a time!" He informed them with an enthusiastic tone that justifiable disturbed the three of them. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Then he laughed maniacally once before making his way back to the alleyway that he came from in an extremely strange and goofy looking walk that only made him more creepy than he was.
"What the hell..." Tommy was visibly disturbed by that guy.
"That woman from early, the guy in the gas mask, the big guy with armor and that clown you just saw are the ones in charge." Joel explained to his brother before signalling them to keep moving.
"That kid that sliced you with a sword as well." Maria added.
"Kid?" Tommy asked as he moved forward with his wife's help.
"Fox Boy, the one that sliced your arm with a sword, is a seventeen year old kid." Maria explained to him. "So far, he's the least worst of them."
"By comparison, at least." Joel decided to add, because that masked boy was certainly dangerous.
"Joel... Ellie and Jesse went after him, remember." Tommy pointed out, since Dina was accompanying him for some reason.
"Yeah, and this is why we have to hurry."
Ellie Williams:
Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!
For the next ten or twenty minutes, Ellie, Jesse and Dina were all forced to watch as the woman called Venus, tortured Fox Boy. After she pulled out the weird looking dagger, she made him take off his vest, coat and sweater and stand there shirtless in the middle of the blizzard. Before she started to carve his torso up with the dagger.
Ellie sincerely didn't know what was worse. The fact that the creepy woman was carving his skin up as naturally as someone would do a painting or as her ex-girlfriend would do a tattoo. Or the fact that the Albino Weirdo was literally standing there shirtless as a blizzard falls on him while having his skin sliced by that woman, and he wasn't reacting to in any way, not even a flinch as the dagger cuts his skin and blood comes out of it at each slice.
Jesse simply watched everything with a downright agonizing expression, as he was having a lot of difficulty watching but he really wanted to stay put in case of her doing something.
Dina on the other hand, couldn't watch, so she sat on the pilot's seat, hugging her knees and closing her eyes, to wait for that to end.
Ellie, just like Jesse, decided to watch, but she was cringing all the way and having to fight an urge to shoot that creepy woman down with the handgun on her hand. But the blob infected were still around, and now it was worse because of how dark it was, with the Helicopter's light being the only thing that illuminated the area.
As the snow got worse, and the cold just kept increasing, the longer this took, the worse it was going to be for them. Made it worse by the fact that she couldn't stop thinking about Joel and Tommy, who were taken by the man called Reaper. Despite that, she was doing her best to try to not think about them for now, since they sadly had bigger problems to worry about at the moment. Eventually, however, Dina abruptly stood up from the pilot's seat.
"What are you doing?!" Ellie asked her girlfriend as she walked past her.
"Hey! Wait!" Jesse tried to stop her, but he couldn't and Dina passed through the Helicopter door.
Ellie and Jesse immediately jumped out of it after her as she approached the crazy woman and the Albino Weirdo. Eventually Dina limped all the way until she got close enough and pointed her handgun at the woman called Venus as she kept on slicing Fox Boy's torso.
"IF YOU DON'T STOP RIGHT NOW, I'M GOING TO UNLOAD THIS PISTOL ON YOU AND I DON'T CARE IF THOSE THINGS COME AT ME AFTERWARDS!" Dina yelled in a very angry voice while aiming her handgun at Venus. Ellie and Jesse got closer as well, but unlike Dina, they were more worried about the infected that were lurking around. But for some reason, they didn't react to Dina yelling.
Venus, after hearing Dina's threat, simply stopped cutting Fox Boy with the dagger that he was holding. Until she touched his mask with the tip of the blade and said to him. "Dieses Mädchen ist einzigartig." Once again,she spoke in another language, so they had no idea of what she said to him. But then, she turned her face to look at the three of them. Dina had her hand gun pointed at her, and she was clearly just waiting for a reason to shoot her. And she nearly did when the woman took two very slow steps towards her, which caused Ellie and Jesse to point their handguns at her as well. However, she responded by chuckling at the trio. "You three took your sweet time, didn't you?" Finally, she actually said something that they could understand.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Dina asked her.
Venus, then moved her free hand towards her creepy mask and slowly lifted up, revealing her mouth to them. They could actually see that she was a fair skinned woman with a dimple in the middle of her chin and pale lips. As soon as her mask was up, to their shock and horror, the creepy woman brought the dagger covered in blood close to her mouth and started to lick the blood that belonged to the Albino Weirdo. Ellie had an urge to vomit, but her stomach was empty, so there was nothing that could come out of it. For the next minute, all that she did was lick the dagger until all the blood was cleaned from it. Once the blade was clean, she opened the side of her rope, revealing a strange number of straps on the inside of her outfit, but what stood out was the sheath that was strapped on her torso. After putting the blade back and closing down her robe, she said. "It means," Venus decided to answer Dina's question. "You three took longer than I expected, especially you." The masked woman pointed towards Dina. "It only took a few seconds for him to decide to save you from the Faceless." The woman had a very soothing and almost angelic voice, which only made her even more disturbing. "Yet, it took you several minutes to decide to try to help him... I guess... Beggars can't be choosers, can they?"
Dina didn't understand what she was talking about, because she stared at Ellie with a very confused face, a confused face that Ellie shared.
"Wait, are you saying that you were just waiting for us to try to stop you?" Jesse asked the woman.
"Not quite," Venus pulled her creepy mask back down. "But if any of you had intervened before, my work of art wouldn't have been completed."
By work of art, she meant the strange looking tattoo shaped image that she carved all over Fox Boy's torso. Ellie, Jesse and Dina were doing their best to not look at it, because of how screwed up it was.
Before anyone could say anything else, they heard steps coming from the side. Moving their heads to see what it was, they were surprised by who it was.
"Ellie!" It turned out that Joel, Maria and Tommy had just entered the cemetery.
"Holy shit!" Tommy spoke in fear as he saw the blob infected.
"Don't get near them!" Ellie yelled at them in fear.
Joel immediately approached them and pointed his revolver at Venus. Before Ellie could speak to him, Joel said. "Reaper is waiting for you."
The three of them gave him confused looks in response to what he just said.
"Oh..." Venus touched her chin in response to what she just heard. "I guess it's time." She spoke up, making them wonder what exactly she meant by that. The creepy looking woman then moved towards Fox Boy and said. "Ich hoffe, die Kinder, die Sie beide zusammen haben werden, sind wunderschön." Once again, she spoke in a different language that they could not understand.
With that, the woman turned her head to look at them once again. Then she reached inside her robe once again, the four of them pointed their weapons at her just in case. But all that she did was pull out a flare. "Remember, the clock is ticking..." That was the last thing that she said, before she made her way towards the entrance of the cemetery. Lighting the flare up when she reached the entrance.
"Fuck..." Ellie spoke as the creepy looking slowly passed through the gates of the cemetery, with the blob looking infected following behind her. All that they could do was watch her leave to make sure that they were out of danger.
As soon as she was out of sight, Tommy and Maria approached the group.
"Goddammit." Tommy commented as he moved his head back to look at the gates for any sign of Venus. "These people are jus-" But then he noticed Fox Boy. "What the!?"
"Jesus Christ!" Maria noticed Fox Boy. "What the hell happened to him?!"
"What hasn't fucking happened to him today?" Dina responded and it wasn't a question. "Hey, Cute Boy..." She tried to speak to the unmoving boy in a very soothing tone. "Are you there?" But all that he did was stand there, completely motionless while looking down. "Can you say something, or at least move something?" Her girlfriend requested. "Please?"
The masked boy slowly moved his head up to look at her. But a second later, he moved his head to look at Joel, Tommy and Maria. Slowly, he moved, or at least tried to move his left hand. But his hand shook drastically as he tried to lift all the way, however, after a bit of difficulty, he managed to lift his left hand all the way up.
And the only thing he had to say was.
"H-hi...M-ma-maria..." Fox Boy greeted Maria in a very weak voice while trying to wave at her with his shaking hand. Dina's response was to touch her face in deep frustration due to the state that he was in. Jesse and Ellie just cringed at the sight of the Albino Weirdo trying to greet them at his current state. "Hi...Jo-joel..." He greeted Joel while trying to wave at him. Joel looked at him with a lot of pity alongside Maria. "H-hi... Wh-who...A-ar-are...y-you...?" He asked Tommy in a barely eligible voice while pointing at him with the same hand.
"Ummm..." Tommy was still a little shocked by the sight of the boy that sliced him with his sword not long ago, more so because of the state that he was in at the moment. "Tommy." But he answered his question anyway.
Fox Boy then stopped pointing at him and tried to save again. "H-hi...Tom-tomm-tommy... I'm... F-fffo-foooxxx...Boyyyyyy..." With that, the Albino Weirdo fell backwards into the ground.
"Oh shit!" Dina spoke as she immediately moved to check on him.
Fox Boy:
"How do we get this open?!"
After enduring ten minutes of having his skin carved by Venus's Flamberge Dagger. Joel, Maria and Tommy appeared in the cemetery and told Venus that Reaper was awaiting her, and she left shortly afterwards with the Blob Babies. After Venus left them, Fox Boy ended up collapsing because of the cold and Jesse dragged him back to the helicopter. He woke up a few minutes later.
Currently, all of them were inside Jester's helicopter.
Jesse, Joel and Ellie were trying to force the crates open, not realizing that they had an electronic lock that required a code to open.
Tommy was sitting on the pilot's seat in order to catch his breath because he was in visible pain due to a couple of injuries.
Dina and Maria, were covering his torso bandages after they tended the cuts that Venus made on his torso.
"Lift your arms." Dina ordered him and he complied.
"Maria, how much time do we have left?" Tommy asked her.
Maria, who was helping Dina with the bandages that she was wrapping on him, checked a digital watch that she had on her wrist. "Thirty-seven minutes." She answered him.
"Do they come after us when the time is up?" Dina asked Fox Boy as she finished wrapping the bandages around his torso.
"Yes..." He answered. If Reaper gave them exactly sixty minutes, it meant that he would send everyone after them when the time was up.
"Fuck!" Ellie cursed. "Look, can you open these boxes like you did that one?" She asked him.
"Which ones?" Fox Boy asked.
"Whatever has assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, the bigger guns." Jesse answered.
Fox Boy, who was sitting down at the same spot where Ellie sat down when he tended her wound, stood up slowly.
"Take it easy." Dina told him as he moved towards the boxes.
Fox Boy then moved towards the boxes that he actually knew the combination of. The Walking Arsenal couldn't be brought into this town, so they were stuck with the limited arsenal of the helicopter. Which only had a few weapons available inside. One of the boxes had a few modified handguns inside of it, which was now empty because they all grabbed the handguns from it.
Joel picked an Jericho 941, the gun was nickel plated with a custom synthetic grip and a weighted compensator.
Maria picked an SIG-Sauer P226 Elite, an enhanced version of the P226, with beavertail grip, front cocking serrations, and accessory rail, also comes with wood grips.
Tommy picked a Smith Wesson M P, the pistol included an extended stainless-steel chassis and high grip to barrel bore axis ratio for reduced muzzle rise and faster aim recovery.
All of the weapons inside the boxes were still being worked on by Jester, but they were ready to shoot if necessary.
Fox Boy decided to open one of the boxes, which had two assault rifles inside of it.
He picked one of them up and showed them to the group. "M4A1 Carbine," In his hand, he had a M4A1 carbine, a fully automatic variant of the basic M4 carbine that was originally intended for special operations use. "It has been modified with a low profile rear sight, a free float rail system, a flip up front sight,a muzzle brake, flattop upper receiver, 14.4 inch barrel with M203 notch, a tritium night sight embedded in the front sight post and A2 grip and six-position collapsible buttstock colored in a dark blue tan that matches my underwear for some reason." The albino boy gave a detailed description of the changes made to the gun.
"No, your underwear is more of a light blue." Dina decided to correct him as he handed the assault rifle to Joel.
But saying that caused Jesse and Ellie to look at her with very confused faces. "Wait, wait, wait, how do you know that?!" Ellie asked Dina while Joel inspected the assault rifle that he gave him..
Fox Boy then proceeded to grab the other assault rifle as Dina spoke to Ellie and Jesse.
"I... Had to dry his clothes after..." Dina was trying to explain to them as Fox Boy shows the assault rifle to Maria.
" A compact SG 552 Commando, modified with a flash hider, an angled grip, red dot sight and a flashlight." It wasn't as modified as the M4A1 carbine, but that was on purpose, because this weapon was meant for specific types of combat situations. That Fox Boy didn't really know the specific type.
"Thanks." Maria took the assault rifle off his hands.
"After what?" Jesse asked Dina, apparently because he was curious.
"After I peed myself." Fox Boy answered Jesse's question. With him and Ellie moving their heads to look at him with somewhat disgusted expressions, but Fox didn't pay any attention to that and simply moved to open another box.
"Ummm..." Jesse moved his head to look at Dina again.
Dina sighed in response and said. "The clown guy, Jester... He tased him with a shock stick until he peed himself."
"Ow!" Jesse was surprised.
"Seriously?!" Ellie asked in surprise.
"Yeah," Dina confirmed. "He did this afterwards." She pointed at the leg that Jester shot.
"We saw the clown guy on our way here." Tommy spoke to them from the pilot's seat. "He was roasting a guy alive with a flamethrower." The three of them widened their eyes in response to what he said, but Fox Boy decided to add.
"It's a Flammenwerfer 41 that is modified to fire a napalm mix instead of the normal Flammöl 19, the Napalm Mix thickens normal liquid fuels and transforms them into a syrup consistency, increasing burn time and making fuel stick to targets." Fox Boy explained to them about Jester's flamethrower.
"Great, just what we needed." Joel commented as he picked assault rifle magazines from the box.
"Why do you need a flamethrower?" Fox Boy asked in confusion as he got the other box open.
"We don't need one and it would be better if your clown friend didn't have one." Joel responded to his question.
"Jester is not a clown and why did you say that you needed a flamethrower if you don't need one?" The masked boy was confused.
"Just get the box open." Ellie immediately ordered him.
"Okay." A second later, he opened the box, sadly, it only had one weapon inside of it. The albino boy picked up the weapon and presented it to them. "A Benelli M3 Super 90," Benelli M3 is an Italian dual semi-automatic/pump-action shotgun."Modified with a C-stock recoil tube and locking nut, a full length seven round magazine tube, tactical style trigger, hammer, disconnector, and follower." He explained to them about the modifications made to it.
"Give me that." Jesse grabbed the shotgun from his hands and immediately started to fill his coat's pockets and his backpack with the shotgun round that was inside the box.
"Twelve gauge shotgun shells, armor piercing." Fox Boy explained the ammo that Jesse was picking.
"Ah..." Suddenly, he heard a grunt coming from Tommy, who stood up from the pilot's seat and approached them with difficulty. "Got any sniper rifle?" He asked Fox Boy.
The masked boy simply nodded at the man's question, before he moved towards a box that was at the bottom side of the helicopter. It only took him five seconds to get it open. There was only one sniper rifle inside of it and he picked it up and took it to Tommy.
"What kind of rifle is this?" Tommy asked him as he picked up from his hands.
"An SV-98 chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO rounds with 10-round staggered column magazines, and features a cold-hammer forged receiver and free-floating heavy barrel which can be chrome lined to order, a rotating bolt with three symmetrically-spaced frontal lugs, a threaded muzzle on the barrel that can accept a conical birdcage-pattern muzzle brake or a specially designed TGP-V suppressor to reduce recoil, jump, flash and sound signature that requires the use of subsonic ammunition, a picatinny rail on top of the receiver, iron sights for use without a scope with an anti-mirage strap being able to be fixed between the front and rear sights, and a ambidextrous laminated plywood or fiber glass reinforced polymer stock that features an adjustable butt plate that can be regulated for length of pull, height and pitch and has a height and length adjustable cheek comb." He gave a detailed explanation to Tommy about the kind of gun that he just handed him. "It has the modification of a thread adapter and a variable Scope."
"Ummm... Thanks." Tommy made a strange face to him after he finished his explanation.
But then Fox Boy had a question for him. "What happened to your leg and arm?" He asked.
"You sliced his arm with your sword when you were running away on that horse, remember?" Jesse, who was loading the shotgun, pointed out.
"Oh..." Yes, now I remember. "I'm sorry, I was aiming for your horse but the snow obfuscated my vision." It was true, it was better to simply take out his method of transportation as it would force the others to stop and aid him which would have given him a better position to make his escape. It worked in a way, since only three kept pursuing him instead of five. "Is the horse okay?" He asked him a question.
"Probably not..." Tommy responded to him as he held the sniper rifle in his hands.
"Oh, shame..." Fox Boy was really upset about that.
"Look, sorry to interrupt, but we don't have much time." Joel decided to interrupt them as he placed the M4A1 on his backpack. "Maria, how much time?"
Maria checked her watch again. "Thirty-one minutes left."
"Okay, we have to move out now." Joel informed them.
Ellie and Dina then picked up the Heckler Koch MP5s that they took from the Faceless's corpses and placed them on their backpacks. Maria did the same thing with the SG 552 Commando. Jesse also placed the Benelli M3 Super 90 on his backpack as well. And Tommy also did it with the SV-98.
"Where the fuck are we even going?" Ellie asked. "The whole town is crawling with his people?" She pointed at the shirtless boy covered in bandages when she asked that.
"Ummm..." Dina spoke before anyone could answer. "Fox Boy... Don't you wanna put your top back on?" She pointed at his sweater, coat and vest, which were right besides her.
"Yes." He moved past them, and Dina picked his sweater up and helped him put it back on. Ellie gave him a very strange look as she did, and he noticed that Jesse had the same stange face as Dina helped him put his wool sweater on. Then, Dina picked his duffle coat and helped him put on as well and even closed it for him, and for some reason, Ellie made an even stranger face as she did it and even looked at Jesse, who gave her a similar look. His vest was the last piece of his top that he needed to put it on, but Dina didn't have to help him with that. "Thanks."
"Don't mention." Dina replied as she put his hood on his head. "Do you have anything else you need to take?" He nodded in response, before he moved towards his own personal box that was right beside them, it had a lot of stickers on it, from animals like dolphins, bunnies and even some rainbows. There wasn't much inside, just a WALKMAN stereo cassette player with some cassette tapes, a jar filled with jelly beans and a necklace that had the Denmark flag on it. "Oh shit, Jelly Beans?" Dina asked him enthusiastically. He nodded in response before opening the jar and picking up a green Jelly Bean and putting it on his mount before offering to Dina. Who wasted no time in picking four for herself. "Thanks, Cute Boy."
"Cute Boy?" He heard Tommy whisper to someone.
"He is kind of cute, when he is not being creepy?" He heard Maria respond to him.
"Everyone, we are wasting time, we got to move!" Joel called out to everyone as he opened the door of the helicopter, while signalling everyone to follow him.
"Ah shit!" Ellie yelled in frustration as she noticed that the blizzard outside got worse. "How far is the place that we need to go?" She asked Joel.
"Not far, but it's a good walk from here." Tommy responded to her.
"Hey, do you think they will be able to come after us in this blizzard?" Jesse asked Fox Boy.
Fox Boy simply placed his jar of Jelly Beans inside of his backpack. "Yes," He responded after putting his WALKMAN inside of his backpack as well. "The Faceless's armor was designed to withstand all types of harsh environments and it will prevent hypothermia." That was his explanation as he placed his necklace on his neck.
"So in other words, this harsh weather is only bad for us." Maria spoke in response to what he said.
"Yes." It was Fox Boy's reply as he puts his protective arm guards back on.
Maria sighed in response before checking her watch again. "Twenty-nine minutes left."
Dina then moved her head to look at Fox Boy. "Hey, you're gonna help us right?" After she asked him that, everyone turned their face to look at them.
"Dina, no offense, but we don't need his help." Joel immediately spoke against the idea .
"Ummm... Joel..." Tommy, who was standing there with a lot of difficulty. "My leg and arm are screwed, Ellie's forearm is fractured and she has a stab wound on her shoulder and Dina's leg is hurt." He pointed out everyone's injuries.
"Yeah, Tommy is right." Jesse agreed with him.
"Jesse, he's one of them" Ellie immediately spoke up, apparently against the idea.
"We saw him kill five of his people to help Dina, remember?" Jesse pointed out what he had done earlier.
"Eight," Dina decided to correct him. "He killed three others before we went to the cemetery." She limped forward to speak with them. "Look, I saw the big guy with the armor punch him so hard in the stomach that he vomited blood," Actually, that was a weak punch. "I saw the guy with the gas mask stab him in the stomach." No, Cedric stabbed me in the stomach under Reaper's instructions... I wonder if Cedric is okay? "I saw the guy dressed as a clown electrocute him until he peed himself," Not a clown, Jester dresses himself as a jester. "And then the three of us saw that creepy woman carve his skin up with a dagger for several minutes." A Flamberge Dagger to be more precise. "So yeah, I don't think he has much love for his people, and I do think he can help us, especially since we need all the help we can get."
A small pause ensued after Dina said that but it ended when Joel looked at Maria. "What do you think?"
"I think we need to hurry it up and the kid can come with us if he wants." Maria spoke as she moved towards Tommy to help him get out of the helicopter.
"Seriously?" Ellie seemed to be against the idea.
"Get over it, Ellie." Jesse bluntly spoke as he followed Maria and Tommy.
Ellie sighed and followed Jesse, jumping out of the helicopters and standing besides Joel. Then the two of them stared at Fox Boy and Dina.
"Come on." Dina called him before she moved towards the door and got out of the helicopter as well.
Fox Boy then moved towards the exit as well, but before got out of the Helicopter, Joel spoke to him. "If you try anything, I'll shoot you like a dog, understand?"
But Fox Boy was confused. "Why would you shoot a dog?"
Both Joel and Ellie made strange faces in response to his questions. Dina then touched his shoulders and said. "He won't try anything, don't worry." She assured the two of them. "Come on, Cute Boy." Ellie's face changed again after Dina called him Cute Boy again. But Dina pushed him away from the two before anyone could say anything else, but Fox Boy was still confused.
"But, why would he shoot a dog?"

Their interaction will actually be an emotional conversation followed by gun battle {The Boss vs Naked Snake} , then it will turn into a sword fight {Solidus Snake vs Raiden, just more realistic and with different swords.} then it will turn into a fist fight {Solid Snake vs Liquid Ocelot.}.
It will be something like this:

But Owen and Mel actually thinking that Fox Boy would be the one being taken advantage of in that was just too funny.

He won't kill them (as long as they don't give him a reason to, like hurting the adoptive father of his favorite auburn haired girl.)
Nah, Fox Boy is the one that saves Lev and Yara instead of Abby, so they're grateful to him. (The only thing that actually keeps Fox Boy and Abby from killing each other is mostly Lev threatening Abby with his bow when she gets violent with Fox Boy due to his brutal honesty.)
