Chapter 4: Painful Numbness (2/3)

Ellie Williams:

No...No...No... That was all that Ellie could think about as something awful was right in front of her. Or right in front of Joel to be more precise. Ghost Head, the massive man wearing armor, was standing at the entrance right in front of Joel, menacingly stepping forward with the heavy steps as Joel slowly steps back. He was way more disturbing up close, as everything about the man could be described as horrifying.

"JOEL!" But Ellie's shock was interrupted when he heard Maria's voice. "GET DOWN!" She yelled at him as she aimed her assault rifle towards the man. With Jesse, Tommy and Dina doing the same thing.

"It's not going to work." Fox Boy tried to warn them, but everyone, including Ellie, just ignored him and aimed their weapons at the man.

Joel immediately followed Maria's order and jumped on the floor, and the moment he was down, everyone started to fire their weapons at the man named Ghost Head. With Dina and Ellie firing the submachine guns, Jesse firing the shotgun, Maria firing the assault rifle and Tommy firing the sniper rifle. Fox Boy, on the other hand, just stood there and watched as they all fired at the armored giant. Unfortunately, Fox Boy was right, because the bullets barely did any damage to him and he literally just stood there taking all of the shots like it was nothing. It took them using half of their ammunition to realize that they were wasting their time, thankfully, Joel noticed too and started to crawl towards the car as they fired.

However, it failed. Because Ghost Head simply moved forward and stomped on Joel's back with his right boot as they continued to fire at him. "AAAHHH!" Joel grunted in pain as the massive man stomped on him with his armored boot. Ghost Head continued to take the shots while he crushed Joel with his feet.

"Shit!" Ellie cursed as they all practically ran out of ammo after wasting it on the heavily armored man. What the hell were we thinking?! She thought since they knew that the armor was bulletproof but tried it anyway. She hoped that they could maybe overwhelm it with bullets but it barely did a thing.

Once the shooting stopped, they all simply stood there as the massive man kept his foot pressed against Joel's back, obviously putting weight on it as Joel was grinding his teeth in visible pain. As they all stood there, completely unsure of what to do, Ghost Head extended his left hand forward and pointed at the floor with his index finger. "Fox Boy," He called the Albino Weirdo with his deep and harsh voice. "Here," Specifically, the spot where his finger was pointing at the moment. "Now."

Everyone was justifiably terrified. He had a large machine gun strapped on his shoulder, a machine gun that Ellie once saw in a military vehicle or at least one that was similar, so she knows that thing is powerful. She moved her head to the left to look at Maria and Tommy that were standing besides the car on the right, who just looked at her with a very fearful look. Jesse, who was standing in front of her, right beside the driver's seat, tried to keep his composure, but it was obvious that he was terrified. Then she looked behind her, where Dina was standing, with an arm around the Albino Weirdo's neck to support herself. But then she noticed that he was whispering something into Dina's ear, which made Dina look wide-eyed towards him.

"Wait, you can-" Dina tried to speak to him, but it was useless as he pushed her arm off of him and stepped forwards, with Dina having to use the car to support herself.

Fox Boy slowly moved past Ellie, with Dina immediately limping towards Ellie and wrapping her arm around her uninjured shoulder. With the two girlfriends staring as he moves past Jesse, with Ellie noticing that his backpack and assault rifle weren't there. "What did he whisper in your ear?" Ellie asked in a very low voice.

Dina paused for a second as she watched him approach Ghost Head. "He said, the moment Ghost Head lifts him off the floor with both hands, we have to run." Her girlfriend explained as Fox Boy was almost in front of Ghost Head.

Ellie heard what she said loud and clear, but the main problem is that Joel is right in front of the car, so they can't speed out of there. And there was no way for them to actually grab Joel and then get to the car without Ghost Head firing that machine gun at them. Fuck... What are you going to do?! Ellie asked herself in deep frustration. We're gonna have to run out on foot, but the blizzard and those armored soldiers are outside.

Despite trying to figure out a way out of that horrendous situation. Her thoughts were interrupted, because the moment the Albino Weirdo stood in front of the one called Ghost Head, she had to stop to see what was going to happen. With a painful silence starting as the two stare at each other in the eye.

"Vse eto iz-za devushki?" Ghost Head spoke in another language that Ellie assumed to be Russian. "Razve ty ne usvoil urok, kogda tvoy brat poproboval to zhe samoye?"

"Net," Fox Boy, responded in Russian. "Teper' ya deystvitel'no ponimayu, pochemu on eto sdelal."

Ellie and Dina just looked at one another in confusion as they don't know what Ghost Head asked him. "Togda vy poluchite tot zhe konets, chto i on, za vashe glupoye uvlecheniye." Only for their confusion to be replaced with fear when Ghost Head slowly extended his right hand and grabbed Fox Boy by his coat and lifted him off the floor like he was nothing.

"What are we do?" Dina asked her as she was visibly worried about the masked boy.

Ellie, however, didn't care about what happens to him as her top priority at the moment was saving Joel, who was still on the floor with that man's boot crusing his back.

"Ty pomnish'?" Then, Ghost Head spoke in english once again, with Ellie starting to get pissed off with this constant change of language. But Ellie suspects that it's because he wants them to hear that part. "Kogda u menya bylo dvadtsat' Bezlikikh, po ocheredi s toy nikchemnoy shlyukhoy, v kotoruyu on vlyubilsya, prezhde chem ya obezglavil yeye i nasadil na piku?" He asked him something and by the tone of his voice, it had to be something awful. "Zatem ya slomal kazhduyu kost' v yego tele, poka on smotrel na yeye golovu." Whatever he was saying, it clearly got a reaction from Fox Boy, who tried to look away from this face. "I kak ya nasilovala yego ot zakata do rassveta, kak on krichal, kak ya derzhala v rukakh yego zhalkoye izlomannoye telo." Ghost Head said that after he grabbed Fox Boy's head to force him to look at him. "No ty zhe vse eto pomnish', ne tak li?" Ellie and Dina were very frustrated because they couldn't understand a single word. "Vy byli v komnate, kogda vse proizoshlo. Pochemu? Vy khoteli smotret', kak on stradayet, potomu chto on sobiralsya brosit' vas radi toy shlyukhi?"

...

...

...

...

"Net," After a strange pause, Fox Boy answered his question while grabbing his forearm with both hands. "YA prosto khotel posmotret', deystvitel'no li ona sobiralas' rodit' rebenka." His voice sounded like he was going to cry or something, which only made them even more confused.

...

...

...

...

"Da," Whatever was the answer. Ghost Head replied to that as well. "Shlyukha sobiralas' rodit' bliznetsov." Saying that, however, made Fox Boy let go of his arm and look down with a very defeated look. Strangely, once he did that, Ghost Head actually put him down with the group looking at one another in deep confusion. "Your brother brought it on himself, he knew what would happen if he betrayed the Normandies." Only to Ghost Head to actually speak in english. "And you did the exact same thing for the exact same reason." Now, they were exceptionally confused.

"His brother...?" Dina said in a low voice as she was actually confused.

"I will give you one last chance." Ghost Head spoke as he removed his boot from Joel. "Draw your sword and kill this man." He proposed to him as everyone else reacted accordingly. "You will be forgiven for your indiscretion and will receive no punishment." Ghost Head spoke as he removed the hood of Fox Boy's coat from his head, revealing his wavy hair. "Or, I will do to you the exact same thing that I did to your brother." By the tone of his voice, Ellie could tell that whatever he did, was awful.

"We have to do something." Ellie spoke as she was afraid of what he will do to Joel.

"Wait." Dina told her. "He's not gonna do it." Ellie just looked at Dina with an angry face, as she was way too trusting over him.

...

...

...

...

...

A small pause ensured as Ghost Head awaited for Fox Boy's answer. And after a whole minute, he said. "Are you lying?" He asked him. With everyone waiting for an answer.

...

...

...

...

...

"Yes." With that, Ghost Head grabbed Fox Boy by the neck with his left hand and lifted him off the ground once again. "I have been waiting for the day that I would get to kill you since the day I killed your traitor brother." He revealed to Fox Boy as he pulled his sword from the scabbard on his belt and held the blade in a reverse grip. "And I will take my time torturing your little friends just like a did with your brother's whore and the two little bastards that he squirted into her belly." Hearing that shocked all of them as he basically said that he has tortured a pregnant woman. "Starting with him."

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" That was the sound of Joel screaming in agony as the one called Ghost Head stabbed his back using Fox Boy's sword.

"NO!" Tommy yelled.

"JOEL!" Ellie yelled at the same time as Tommy.

Once the blade was completely lunged into Joel's back, Ghost Head let off of it and left it there. Before using his other hand to grab Fox Boy's leg and lift him up completely, right above his head.

"SHIT!" Dina yelled as well. "RUN!" But she said that afterwards with everyone being confused for a second, but following their advice as Ghost Head started to walk towards one of the nearby cars carrying Fox Boy in his hands.

Dina, Ellie, Tommy, Maria and Jesse all moved forward to try to help Joel. "No... Get out!" Joel yelled at them as they got closer.

"No way!" Ellie said as she got closer. "We gonna-" Whatever she was about to say was interrupted by what Ghost Head just did.

Which was carrying Fox Boy above his head towards one of the cars that they pushed out of the way of the working car. And slammed the Albino Weirdo at full force into the windshield of one of the cars.

Dina gasped.

Jesse cringed.

Tommy looked away.

Maria widened her eyes and her mouth fell open.

Ellie ignored because she was focusing on Joel.

The moment he slammed Fox Boy into the windshield, Ghost Head turned around and prepared his machine gun to fire at them.

"RUN!" Joel yelled at Ellie as loud as he could .

"NO W-" Ellie tried to deny it once again, but it was interrupted when someone grabbed her.

"Come on!" Jesse forcibly pulled her away from Joel as the one called Ghost Head finished preparing his machine gun.

"NO, LET ME GO!" Ellie yelled as Jesse pulled her towards the door, with Ghost Head aiming his machine gun at them as soon as they reached the door.

"Get down." Jesse pushed her down as he started to fire at them. Thankfully, they managed to pass through the garage door and get behind the wall before that happened. But that was clearly not much help as the bullets passed through the wall easily with Ellie being able to tell that they were of high caliber. As the bullets passed through the wall, Jesse started to crawl away to get to the side of the garage. "Come on." He told her as she moved her head to look at the entrance, worried about Joel. "Ellie! There's nothing you can do! We have to go!" Her friend yelled at her and she knew that he was right. "Please!" He practically begged her.

Closing her eyes in deep regret, Ellie followed Jesse as they crawled towards the side of the building. And immediately stood up after the shooting stopped, but they heard the heavy footsteps of Ghost Head approaching the entrance, so they decided to hurry. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck! That was the only thing going through Ellie's mind as she and Jesse reached the side of the garage, especially with the blizzard falling on them. But they had no time to worry about that as the two friends ran to reach the back of the garage, thankfully, Tommy, Maria and Dina decided to do the same as they saw them on the other side once they reached the back.

"This way!" Maria told them as she helped Tommy move.

"PRINESITE IKH MNE!" Suddenly, they heard the one called Ghost Head speak. "MERTVYY ILI ZHIVOY!"

"I don't know what he said, but it can't be good, come on." Dina spoke as she leaned on Jesse for support.

"Into the woods?!" Ellie was behind the garage, there was nothing but a path filled with trees.

Before anyone could reply, several steps could be heard coming from each side of the garage. Making Ellie shut up and grab Tommy's other arm, so they could run towards the trees.

Joel Miller:

"Ahhh..." The pain was unbearable and he couldn't move an inch without making it worse than it already was. "Dammit..." He spoke out loud as he was completely alone inside of the garage.

Well, not completely alone. "Fox Boy..." Joel tried to call the albino boy, who was completely knocked out after being slammed into a Cadillac's windshield. He was laying on top of the smashed windshield. Joel couldn't see if he was still breathing and there was a high chance that his back was either broken or severely damaged.

This kid is done. Joel thought as there was no way he would get up after that. Who am I kidding.... I'm pretty sure that I'm done too. He doubts he will be getting out there, not without someone's help. But he didn't want anyone going back for him.

All that Joel could do was lay there completely helpless. With doubt of whether his family escaped Ghost Head. Three days, I was deciding what we would have for dinner once Ellie was fully recovered... Joel thought in deep sadness, because it shocked him how quickly everything fell apart. "Ahhh..." A grunt of pain escaped his lips, the spot where he got stabbed was the exact place where he once got impaled. With the pain being just as bad as he remembers, but now it was added with the fact that it was actually colder than before. Maybe Marlene was right... Joel was terrified of what those people would do with Ellie, especially after hearing about Ghost Head with Fox Boy's brother and the woman that his brother apparently got pregnant.

Moving his head up, he noticed that the car was on. A part of him was telling him to crawl towards it, get into the car and at least try to get to his family before it's too late. But no matter how hard he tries, he just can't move his body. The blood from the stab wound was visible on the floor, it was clear that it was really bad. But as Joel was trying to find any was out of his miserable situation, he ended up hearing the sound of footsteps coming from the entrance. "Huh?" Sadly, he couldn't move his head to see who it was.

Though, it wasn't really necessary, because it didn't take long for the person to approach Joel. "The end is usually something that you are either terrified of or eager to reach." The one that just entered the garage and stood in front of Joel, the man named Reaper. "Something tells me that you are feeling the exact same way about both ends, Mr. Miller." Reaper pointed out as he got down to one knee. "The truth, however, is that Ghost Head didn't hit any vital organs and there is still a chance for you to survive this." He pointed out as he looked at the sword before he grabbed the assault rifle that Joel was carrying and completely dismantled in front of him. "A very minimal chance that would require the aid of a very skilled doctor to pull it off, which is something that you don't really have at your disposal, I'm afraid.." That didn't seem like he was simply mocking him or anything like that, it seemed more like he was genuinely pointing out Joel's chances in that situation.

"Ahhhh... What do you want?" Joel asked the man wearing a gas mask after letting out another grunt of pain.

"I just came here to check the damage." Reaper spoke as he stood up from the floor and moved towards Fox Boy, who was still not moving. "Ghost Head's brutality is something utterly predictable, as is his clumsiness..." The masked man told Joel as she inspected the masked boy. "Hmmm... Somehow, no damage to the spinal cord, but he will feel an intense pain for a while." Reaper explained after he opened the driver's seat to inspect the boy's back, which was laying on top of the smashed windshield. "Definitely hit his head, so a concussion will be expected, but I doubt that it was hard enough for permanent brain damage." Joel could only watch as the man checked on the boy that endured an absurd amount of damage that came from the hands of his own people. As he inspected him, Reaper then reached out for Fox Boy's handgun and pulled out of the holster. "Walther P38, a 9mm Parabellum pistol conceived for use by the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II as a replacement for the costly Luger P08 and eventually adopted as the Wehrmacht's new service pistol in 1941, it was the first locked-breech pistol to use a double action trigger." He gave a detailed description of the handgun that Fox Boy uses. "An exceptional weapon for it's time." That was his opinion as he looked at the pistol. "But this thing..." Before he was completely dismantled into pieces and tossed on the floor like it was nothing. "Is nothing more than a pathetic memento of a deadman."

"Mmm..." Joel decided to ask. "You mean his brother?" If it was a memento, it was probably from someone that the kid cared about, so it had to be his brother.

"Brother?" For some reason, he chuckled once he heard that word. "Tell me, if I gave you a choice..." Joel looked at him as he spoke. "The choice of either sacrificing yourself for your daughter and your brother's safety..." He really didn't like where that was going. "Or sacrificing your brother's life for your own safety and your daughter's." His choice of wording gave Joel a very clear picture of what happened to Fox Boy's brother. "Which would you pick?"

...

...

...

"He chose to sacrifice the kid, didn't he?... ahhhhhh..." Joel asked as the pain on his back increased.

Reaper paused for a bit as he touched the mask on Fox Boy's face while he continued to sit on the driver's seat. "He thinks his brother simply tried to escape without him, and I prefer that he continues to believe that." He pretty much confirmed it to Joel. "I kept my end of the bargain, but Ghost Head took matters into his own hands and that was out of my control." But it was obvious that he didn't do anything to stop him either.

"Mmmmm..." Joel doesn't understand why he's having this type of conversation with him, maybe he was just trying to distract himself from the pain or he was genuinely curious, whatever it was, it was better than just waiting for the inevitable. "Why do you care so much about this kid?" That was something that he was curious about.

"Why do you care so much about Ellie?" He asked him in response as he approached Joel once again, but Joel knew that it wasn't a real question. Before reaching inside one of the ponches on his vest and pulling out something. "I know she's not your real daughter." The "Something" was a photo of him and Sarah, they were standing on a soccer field with Sarah wearing her soccer uniform while holding a trophy in her hand. "But I guess you understand that blood isn't everything." He did, more than he could imagine.

Looking at his daughter's photo made Joel a little uneasy. But it also made him a little relieved, he at least could see her face in that horrendous situation. "Then why?" He asked, if he was implying that he viewed Fox Boy in the same way that Joel viewed Ellie, why he put him through so much misery.

Reaper moved his head to look at the boy one more time. "No matter what I do to him, he just doesn't break." He revealed it to Joel. "Do you have any idea how unbelievable that is?" Fox Boy was still completely unmoving. "He continues to be the way he is, independently of how much suffering he endures." He moved his head back to look at Joel. "And that... Gives me hope... Hope that this filthy world isn't a complete lost cause." That was the reason. "He will wake up again in no time." He spoke with a lot of certainty. "The same cannot be said of you, Mr. Miller." That was pretty obvious.

"Are you... Just trying to get some fun out of mocking a dying old man, or are you getting somewhere with this?" Joel asked him, since he really didn't have the patience for that, definitely not at that moment.

"I take no joy in the suffering of a dying man, Mr. Miller." Reaper replied to him as he approached Joel and grabbed the sword that was piercing his back, and pulled off of him.

"AAAAHHH!" Joel screamed in pain in response to that. But then Reaper reached into one of the large pouches on his belt and pulled out something that Joel didn't know what it was. "Mmmmmnnn!" Then he lifted Joel off the floor and wrapped the thing around his abdomen.

"Breath..." Reaper told him as he tightened the thing in his abdomen. It took a few seconds for Joel to realize that it was some type of tourniquet. Once the thing was tightened enough, Reaper dragged Joel towards the car and placed him right in front of it, making him lean on the car bumper. The moment Joel was sitting and facing the one called Reaper, who took five steps back. "I have a choice for you, two options and in both cases, you will have a chance to escape." The man wearing a gas mask told him.

Joel didn't like it, because the last time he was given a choice by that man, something awful happened. But unfortunately, he didn't have a choice, he was completely outmatched, so he couldn't risk losing a chance to save Ellie, Tommy and the others. "Talk..." The pain was still there, but the tourniquet probably stopped the bleeding.

"First option, I put you inside of that car and give you the coordinates of where Ghost Head and the Faceless are leading your family and friends in order to corner them." That was his offer. "But you will still have to get through heavily armored soldiers and Ghost Head to get to them and you are in no condition to fight, and don't think that a tourniquet will give you a lot of time as you will still succumb from that wound eventually." The cons outweigh the pros of that choice and Joel knew that he was simply baiting him to pick the second option. "Second option, surrender to me now and allow me to take your life right here and I will order the Faceless to stand down, while leaving the coordinates for him to go grab them." He pointed at Fox Boy after saying that.

Joel wished he could say that he was surprised, but whatever is this twisted game that he was playing, now it involved all of them. "Why?" He decided to ask, despite doubting that he would get an answer.

"Because this is the first time that he ever made a decision on his own." Reaper answered the question. "Your people have a strange effect on him that I wish to see where it will lead to." Joel really didn't understand what he meant by that. "The only thing that I can guarantee you, Mr. Miller, is that your daughter will not die this day but whatever happens afterwards will depend purely on how strong she is and I can tell that she has what it takes to survive." He was right and Joel knew it. "From one father to another, I beg of you, take the second option." That sounded like a genuine request, which makes Joel more confused about this man. He clearly had an agenda, an agenda that involved his people, which made him very reluctant for a second. But it didn't take long for him to think about Ellie, Tommy, Maria, Jesse and Dina, knowing that the choice he makes there could affect their chances of survival.

"How do I know that you're telling the truth?" Joel asked him before he made his decision.

"You don't, but I believe I gave you more than enough proof that I am man of my word." Reaper replied was right, so far, he did everything he said he would do and kept every single promise he made.

Part of him was still reluctant, but he knew that he was wasting time as the giant and the armored soldiers were chasing after everyone and any second he wastes could mean their end. Looking at his injury one last time, he knew that taking the first option would be a waste of time because he couldn't help anyone. Moving he head to look at the photo that was laying on the floor right in front of the pool of his blood. Joel could only think of Sarah, how he couldn't do anything to save her and how that failure haunted every single day. Taking a deep breath, Joel made his decision. "Just make it quick..." He requested.

" Close your eyes and count to ten." Reaper told him as he held Fox Boy's sword in his hands. "When you wake, you will be in whatever lies on the other side." Joel, despite doubting there is another side, followed his advice. Closing his eyes and waiting for it to be over. "Farewell, Mr. Miller." That was the last thing he told Joel.

One, two, three, four, five... Joel counted before he felt a piercing pain on his chest. Which indicated that Reaper stabbed him in the heart in the heart with Fox Boy's blade. Six, seven, eight, nine...

Opening his eyes, Joel saw that he wasn't in the garage anymore. He was inside of his brother's old car, which was parked in front of his old house.

He got out of the car right away, because he saw someone he has been wanting to see again for a very long time. Slowly approaching the front door where there was someone sitting down in front of it.

A tear escaped his eye as he got close enough. Because he saw his daughter sitting there, wearing the exact same clothes she wore on the day she died. "Is it over?" He asked her.

"Yes," She replied to him with a smile as she stood up from the floor. "Are you ready?" Sarah asked as she extended her hand for him to take.

Joel looked at her hand for a while, he knew that she wasn't really there, that he was having some type of hallucination, but there was something he had to tell her. "I am so, so sorry. " He didn't know what exactly was he apologizing for, was it for not protecting her? For all the despicable things he did after that? For everything he did before she died? He didn't know, and he really didn't care.

"I know," She smiled at him and said. "I forgive you." If there was anything he ever wanted to hear, was that wording. "Come on." She called him as she opened the door of their old home.

Joel didn't know what was going to happen, and honestly, it didn't matter. All he wanted to do, was hold his daughter hand.

The moment he did, she gently pulled him inside and closed the door behind them.

Q AND A:

So the first boss fight is against Ghost Head, that's going to go pretty bad, (insert Dark Souls Boss Theme).

I started thinking about a lot of things about your world, and I'm curious to know how you expand it.

for example:

1) How old is the Normandy army, is it a mercenary company from before cordyceps or after cordyceps, and how did they manage to prosper so much?

2) If they are so big and powerful why Joel, Tommy, Maria and the rest of the survivors come to find out about their existence just now?

I know that they may have the policy of, witnesses they see witnesses they kill, but F.E.D.R.A has good communication between cities in quarantine for the situation in which they are, so they must know about them, because if they are already cautious with the Fireflies/W.L.F, with the Normandy army they must have them as enemy number 1, and Jester, as the psychopathic genius that he is, may have EMP in his arsenal.

3) If they do know, what do the Fireflies/W.L.F think of the Normandy army and vice versa (something tells me they see the Fireflies/W.L.F as a small insignificant groups)

4) The Normandy army thanks to gas masks and the stinking camouflage of Venus can go into the underground and parts of the cities with cordyceps spores to clean everything with fire?

5) Can The Normandy army travel to other countries?

I always wanted to see how other places outside of the United States were.

6) The Normandy army, having at least two super geniuses and a lot of staff, have put large power plants, mining, chemical, medical, food industries, factories of all kinds and other important things back into operation in their conquered territories?

when it really catches my attention I ask myself a lot of questions, thank you very much for the chapter.

By the way, how would you make Abby into a more tolerable and likable character, I don't know, Fox Boy could help her in that aspect, ha, a post-Apologetic ninja helping to improve a crazy Amazon.

Not much of a boss fight sadly.

1: The Normandies used to be a private army before the outbreak.

2: They mostly operated outside of the United States, they literally only got there recently.

3: They do.

4: If she wanted, but she usually hunts for methods to create new infected.

5: That's literally what they have been doing. (Each of the Masked Ones comes from a different country.)

6: The Normandies have an entire society built and they are trying to expand it. (The Supreme Leader views himself as a Alexander The Great figure.)

Abby is going to have to deal with the aftermath of her unfulfilled revenge and all of the consequences of her obsession.

Wonderful.

Terrific.

Excellent job

Appreciate.

Joel's group versus Ghost Head must have been a very tense situation. Ellie and Dina's clash of emotions is quite intense to some degree. If it wasn't for Jesse, it would have been even more intense.
- The skirmishes in the snow reveal how much more weapons and combat skills the fox boy might have than Joel.
- Ellie doesn't like the face of the fox boy very much. It will be a long time before their relationship improves.
- How far has the Normandy group now extended its power?
If we didn't meet today good afternoon good evening and good ning too

You can say that again.

It's going to get worse.

Years of training from hell.

But it will and when it does, she will adore him more than Dina.

Almost as the Roman Empire.

Happy new year

With how tough Fox Boy is can see Ellie thinking he's part Terminator or something

The zero fucks given by Fox Boy in certain regards continues to make me smile like with the car situation and when he spoke about the generator in the other house also liked how while the group was having their moment of mourning he just carries on and unlocked the door for them

Hope Ellie's opinion of Fox Boy goes up when Joel tells everyone he owes Fox Boy his life even more now due to saving him from that Faceless

Actually Joel also owes Fox Boy his life for killing all the Faceless on the way back to the others to

With Ghost Head I do hope we get a moment where we see that despite him being himself even he is weary of Fox Boy

That's literally what most people are going to think.

That's Fox Boy to you, hyper competent to the bone.

He sadly won't get to tell her that.

He will never get to repay it.

Not really.

Anwering another Review by Mr. Guest:

Okay for Casper then what I hope he's done is before he started being a hero he quietly went around the country to things like Superhero rallies and events where the public can come into contact with the Supes ie prime opportunities for Casper to get close to various Supes so he could you join in on all the pats on the back then heroes got, handshakes etc so in other words before his debut Casper went around copied the powers of various Supes then took some time to train himself

Offering up suggestions for Supes he was able to copy before the debut

Black Noir
Lamplighter
Stormfront
Nubia and Nubian
Maeve

Plus you know by the time of chapter one where I hope Casper is already a established hero and all that in his time since his debut he's been able to copy a bunch more powers from the likes of Shockwave and Moon Shadow etc plus he could have copied powers from Supes that had the power of magnetism and one that could let him some surfaces thoughts of someone he's looking at so on and if Kimiko is with him from the start and Cindy is to he of course has copied their powers to

If you do let him be able to read some thoughts Casper could know that Stormfront is a Nazi he doesn't have her full origin he's just aware of her beliefs so while he finds her attractive he can be like her views are a major deal breaker haha

Hope as well that his powers stack so for example with lighting manipulation due to copying Stormfront and Nubia his lighting manipulation is better than either of theirs plus since varying levels super strength and durability seems to be a common tread amounts most Supes all that would stack so that physically he could already be on par with Homelander and if anything can hurt him we'll add Noir and Kimiko healing factor together

Now while the root of him being a hero might be for selfish reasons and personal gain hope it's he's done things where their wouldn't be much benefit to him like he didn't take in Kimiko or Cindy because he wanted them to be his weapons or anything like that he took them in because he wanted to help them they just choose to stick with him there is a tiny part of him that just likes helping people

Think of the mentality of being like I can want to help people and still want to profit from it haha and regardless of his motives I just want him to be extremely competent as a Supe like he doesn't kill people on accident and most of the woman he's slept with aren't dead in stead they just all sing his praises haha

Do like the idea that he's a independent hero at the start and that at the start hope his fame is on par with the Sevens with some in Vought tearing their hair out over the fact his popularity is on course to surpass the sevens and that taken on a individual bases he could already be the most popular hero

Regardless on if he's part of the seven at the time glad you seem to like the idea that Casper Jr is there if the Deep tries to pull the shit he did with Starlight and he's there to for example tell the Deep if he so much as gives Annie a funny look again he will rip off his dick and make him swallow it

Now while Vought might hate Casper he's obviously must have some fans in the company if they are willing to bend over backwards and offer many many to get him to join up so I hope with Stan while he might role his eyes at Casper Jrs hedonism he can respect how competent he is at his job point is hope Stan Edgar sees Casper as someone he can actually treat with respect

Oh with Annie hope for a fun moment after having sex with her for the first time while they are basking in the afterglow Casper is just like note to self get a ton of spare lightbulbs especially when Kimiko and Cindy poke their heads in and comment on the lightbulb situation haha

That's an very interesting idea.

All of them minus Lamplighter.

The story will start a year after he joined Vough.

Casper's uncle (The uncle Ben of the Boys.) was an old racist asshole, so Casper really detests any hate ideology.

Sadly, a major setback of Casper's power is that he can only use one at a time. (It's like in a video game where you have to pause to change magic or powers.) Which is a major setback when he's fighting.

Well...

Pretty much.

His fame was considerable when he was an idenpendent superhero but there was an event called "The Seven Fiasco" that cemented his popularity in the eyes of the public. Basically he fought against a super that was basically the Boys's version of Juggernaught. He was completely outmatched during the fight and kept getting beat up by him. Homelander, who was starting to get angry about the fame that Casper was receiving, decided to force the seven to stand by and wait until Casper is either killer or completely beaten up, so they can swoop in and save the day.

The plan backfired horrible for three different reasons:

1: The fight lasted for twenty hours straight, which the Seven had no excuse for why they took that long to arrive. Which painted them in a very negative light to the public.

2: Casper just woudn't stay down, pulling a Rocky Balboa standing up every time he got knocked down. Making him come off as the underdog superhero facing the giant supervillain.

3: In the end, Casper actually beat him (Winning by endurance.) Which completely cemented his fame in the eyes of the public.

Starlight is actually a huge fan of Casper instead.

He brings way more revenue to the company that Homelander does, and causes less colateral damage.

Haha... That would be interesting.
