That cat burglar sneaked around the skylights after her encounter with Spider-Man and made it to the designated building she was supposed to bring it to.
Once she made it inside by sneaking through the window, she was met with technological equipment that she wouldn't be able to follow if she tried.
Then there was the sound of a cane. Turning around, she was met with the one and only Wilson Fisk himself.
"Where is it?" Fisk asks her.
"I'm sorry, sir." The burglar said in displease of herself. "I had the drive, but I was stopped by the Spider-Man."
Fisk then grabbed her by the throat, holding her up to his face as she was lifted a few feet off from the ground. "What?"
"I'm-I'm sorry!" The burglar choked out. "But...I have a tracker implanted into it. I'll be able to follow it. Please...give me another chance."
Fisk continued to choke her, the burglar trying her hardest to break free of his grasp. "You have one chance." He warned her with a snarl. "Don't make the same mistake twice, Hardy." He then pulled her closer to his face, scaring her. "Or your father dies."
That's when Felicia Hardy started to get ready to pass out when he finally lets her go and she dropped to the ground, choking as she tried to breathe. Fisk then walked down the hall and made sure his presence was known by stomping down the halls.
The next morning, Elsa woke up to have an extreme headache and sensitivity to light as she had never had before. Groaning and placing her hands over her head and eyes, she looked and noticed some pills and a glass of water next to her on the desk. Turning over to the table, she noticed a note and picked it up to see what it said.
"Water and painkillers. Take them and they'll help you with the headache you undoubtedly will have when you open your eyes.
At least according to the internet.
- Peter"
Elsa smiled at that and reached over to take the pills and wash them down with the water. Hoping that they work fast, Elsa just laid back down and stayed there for a while and hope it works fast.
Downstairs, Kate was already awake, sitting down with a blanket wrapped around her, and already taking the painkillers left for her by Peter.
Elsa groaned as she made her way down the stairs and sat down next to Kate. "Hey."
"Hey," Kate repeated with a groan.
"Never again," Elsa whispered.
"Never again." Kate agreed. "But you have to admit, you had a good time."
Elsa smiled and knew that was the most fun she has had in years. "Yeah, it was." She then looked around and wondered where their friend was. "Where's Peter and Lucky?"
Kate showed a note she had from Peter and saw what it said:
"Gonna make a bit of a coffee run, meeting up with a friend of mine.
I'll take Lucky with me; give you guys some quiet time to get over the headache."
Sighing in relief, Elsa was happy she didn't need to worry about the dog barking at her.
Outside a coffee shop, nowhere near Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop so that Peter didn't run the risk of running into MJ or Ned. He and Eddie were taking some coffee while Peter was using his computer to bring Eddie to life, legally speaking. Lucky was sitting next to them peacefully, being fed a croissant that Eddie bought and was feeding him.
"Well, at least coffee is the same everywhere you are in the multiverse," Eddie commented.
"Of course, that's what's most important to you." Venom replied in annoyance. "Not to mention, you need to visit three universes for that to be true."
"Okay, and welcome to Earth, Eddie Brock," Peter said as he held out an ID card to Eddie that had all his information. "We just need to get you a job somewhere."
"Any idea where a reporter from another dimension can get work?" Eddie asks him.
Peter thought for a quick moment and immediately had an idea. "I might know someone." He then got up to get a refill on his coffee. "Be back in a moment, get this to go."
As he did that, Eddie looked down and saw Lucky was sitting there and smiling at him.
"You're a cute dog," Eddie commented and rubbed his head.
MJ couldn't keep Anna in her place without drawing too much attention and ended up bringing Anna to Ned's Lola's to figure out what to do. Anna was taking a look around the room and all of the alternate dimension/future devices while Ned and MJ watched her.
"What are we going to do?" Ned asked, seeing there's nothing they can do with her.
"I don't know," MJ said, trying to figure out what they can do. "There has to be some logical reason why she's here." She then started to question what's been different between the past few weeks and now. That's how one individual entered her mind. "You don't think that Peter Parker guy has to do with any of this, do you?"
Ned thought of her question and started to wonder it himself. "Well, he is the only change in the equation. The same day he doesn't show up, she drops out of the sky."
"We should see if there's any connection," MJ told him. "Think you can track him down?"
"It's not like I can magically find him, but give me a day, I'll find him." Ned supposed.
That's when they heard something crash
"Hurry," MJ asked him, seeing they couldn't keep Anna around for too long, with them heading for MIT in a month or two.
"I'm J. Jonah Jameson. We'll be right back after a brief word from our sooner, Daily Bugle supplements." Jameson said from his office in Daily Bugle and smiled. "The only other daily supplements you'll need."
Peter and Eddie just stood there and waited for them to finish up production, Lucky being led on his leash. Luckily this place doesn't have any rules against dogs and was able to bring him in.
"How the hell is he still alive?!" Venom questioned in shock.
"Different universe, same Bugle, same Jameson," Eddie commented on the sight. "But with much less hair."
"You have a Daly Bugle back home, too?" Peter asks.
"Yeah, but it was just a small newspaper. Nothing like this." Eddie commented.
"And the last job you did for him, you released Cletus." Venom reminded Eddie.
"I'm sorry, I did?" Eddie asked, surprised he forgot how that job actually went fine until Venom passed a part of himself to Cletus. "Did we forget who was responsible for that?"
"You're getting some stairs," Peter warned Eddie as he looked around and saw some of the people looking at him weirdly.
That's when Jameson finished and started to make his way over and sees Peter with Eddie. "Parker! What are you doing here? Who is this hobo you brought into my place of work?"
"Let me eat him!" Venom already didn't like this alternative version of Jameson.
"Ah, Mr. Jameson, this is Eddie Brock, he's a reporter looking for a job." Peter introduced them to each other. "And I know you were looking for a new guy after firing that other guy."
"Hi, Mr. Jameson." Eddie greeted and held his hand out. "Pleasure to meet you."
"What's the matter with your voice? You have a sore throat?" Jameson asked Eddie, not even going to shake his hand.
"I will remove him of his head!" Venom promises.
"Uh...no," Eddie tells Jameson and Venom at the same time.
"Mr. Jameson, I can vouch and say he's a great reporter. Just give him a small chance?" Peter asked of Jameson, hoping that this would work.
Jameson sighed and knew he was low on staff wanting to work for him due to his 'unappealing attitude' as he's been told by countless people. "Fine. You have one day. Come with me."
Eddie followed Jameson and quickly turned to give a thumbs up to Peter on his way out, leading Lucky back to Kate's place.
"Parker, leave any photos off with Brent at the desk!" Jameson tells Peter as he marched off with Eddie.
Peter rolled his eyes and couldn't help but hate it every time that he has to face Betty. His old best friend's girlfriend worked for the monster that destroyed his life.
Was she even Ned's girlfriend in this new world due to the spell? If it weren't for Peter, the two of them wouldn't have ever sat together on that plane.
Would MJ have ended up sitting with Brad on the airplane during the trip to Europe?
He never really sat down to think of everything that could have changed due to the spell. Thinking of his friends caused him to tear up a little as he made his way through the building and out on the street.
If Eddie needed him, he knew where to find him. But as of now, he can start having a steady job so he could afford a hotel or something since he can't hide Eddie in Kate's apartment.
Peter kept walking down the street and walked into a cafe to get a little snack for the day. He had a long day of training with Elsa if she was up to it. She seemed to begin to fit in well with the modern-day.
While Peter was working on getting his snacks, he heard someone grunting and growling in anger as he looked to see someone around his age with fiery red hair.
Wondering what was wrong, Peter walked over to his seat in the cafe and wondered what's happened to him.
"You okay?" Peter asked the guy.
"Yeah, just...stupid computer keeps freezing." He explained to Peter.
"Mind if I take a look?" Peter offered as he gestured to the computer. "I'm something of a tech geek myself."
He moved out of the way and allowed Peter to do his thing. Peter quickly figured out the problem and got to work to fix it and showed it working perfectly again to him.
"Wow." He commented as he saw the computer was functioning again. "How did you do that?"
"Easy, it just needed to be turned on and off again," Peter admitted, causing him to laugh.
"That's good." He then raised his hand. "Johnny Storm."
Peter shrugged and held his hand out. "Peter Parker."
