Nightwing Josh - I jumped ahead of their timeline, they have already graduated before Peter found a place to stay (End of NWH) and the story has actually taken over the course of a month so far. Week 1) Peter trying to figure out how to get on. Week 2) Peter meets Elsa. Week 3) Anna is flung into their world. Week 4) Peter meets Kate. Week 5) Moving in with Kate, meeting Eddie. The last few chapters have in fact been a day after the other.
Back home, Kate and Elsa were just resting and working off the headache. It wasn't as bad as it was this morning, but it was still painful to hear any loud noises from anything. Another reason that they were happy to hear Peter took Lucky with him.
"So, how have you liked your time in New York?" Kate tried to start up a conversation after their last night of partying.
"It's been nice. I just miss my family a lot of the time." Elsa admitted to her.
"Yeah, I'd understand that," Kate said, never having any siblings so could only guess how she feels.
While the two were on the couch talking, someone came up to one of the windows behind them, picked the lock, and sneaked her way in. Felicia Hardy dropped into the apartment, trying not to startle them, but realized that they were hungover and wouldn't even notice her.
That took a small edge off as she sneaked through the apartment. Quickly coming across the drive, she took it out of the computer and wondered what was so important on it that Fisk would risk everything to get it back.
When she pulled it from the computer, it ended with some bleep from the computer that caused her to freeze.
"Ugh! Shut up!" Kate called out to the computer, immediately walking towards the computer and seeing Felicia standing there. "Do I have to?"
Felicia took off running and Kate picked up an umbrella, using it as a projectile, and tossed it at Felicia. The cat burglar dodged the incoming projectile and kicked Kate backward.
Kate stumbled backward, not exactly on her A-Game right now due to the hangover. She quickly recovered from the kick and blocked Felicia's punch.
When she went to swing, Kate ducked to dodge it, only for Felicia to take advantage by round-housing Kate. Kate then picked up a cutting board in the kitchen and swung it to hit her. Felicia then spun to dodge the board, followed by her grabbing Kate and sending her into the doorway.
Kaye then threw the board, finally getting Felicia to slip up as she fell backward into a chair. Having enough, Felicia drew her claws from her fingertips and freaked Kate out.
Felicia went in to attack Kate just when a giant blast of mist came and tossed Felicia into the wall. Kate was shocked when she looked and saw she was hit by ice and was covered in a pile of snow. Looking at where the snow and ice came from, she was shocked to see that they had come from Elsa.
Elsa heard the two fight and came just in the nick of time when Felicia drew her claws. Sighing in relief that she was alright, Elsa dropped and held onto her head.
"Okay. That's new." Kate admitted, this not thinking about how her day was gonna go.
While Elsa and Kate were starting to have a confession talk, Peter and Johnny were talking while bringing Lucky around to get back to the Daily Bugle to get Eddie.
Johnny explained to Peter that his brother-in-law was the one who bought the Avengers Tower a while ago and turned it into the Baxter Building, a scientific research facility.
"If you ask me, the whole place is a little much. But my sis said they needed the tower for a specific project of his." Johnny informed Peter.
"Really?" Peter asked. "A gigantic superhero tower turned into a research facility for one project?"
"Reed said it's to, and I'm quoting him here, create a bridge through the cosmos," Johnny commented, not interested in the thought.
"I'm pretty sure that Thor already did that." Peter joked.
"They needed the power for half of the building to power it up once. They said it worked, just not how they expected once." Johnny stated to him as Lucky started to sniff the area. "Then the second time, something caused the whole building to shake."
"When was this at?" Peter was curious to know.
"The first time was sometime last year, then the second time was just a few weeks ago," Johnny answered.
Peter became increasingly curious about hearing that and thought to think of the cosmos statement. A bridge to cross the cosmos.
"Does the name Wilson Fisk mean anything to you?" Peter wonders.
"Fisk?" Johnny repeated and tried to think of it. Then as they crossed the street, it came to him. "Oh, yeah. He's that really big dude that's financing the whole project."
Peter then started to understand a few things and knew he needed to take a closer look into that flash drive of his.
"Sorry to say that I need to get going," Peter said and quickly wrote his number down. "But it was nice talking to you, maybe we could meet up again?"
"Sounds cool. I didn't get a friend here yet." Johnny admitted to him and took the number. "I'll be sure to call."
"See ya," Peter said and raced off towards the Daily Bugle.
Back at their home, Kate and Elsa looked over Felicia as she was now tied up with rope that Kate kept around for a fire escape after what happened in the last place she lived. She used some old techniques that she learned in her training over the years, also some duct tape techniques from her time as a hostage for the Tracksuits. Kate also had an ice pack that Elsa created for her inside a zip bag on the bruise that Felicia gave her.
"So... you really are a princess?" Kate asked Elsa as they sat at the table, Felicia was also tied up on the chair at the end of the table.
"Yes. About a month or two ago, Peter found me after I was flung into this world." Elsa confessed, getting a look from Felicia.
"Huh..." Kate said.
"And where'd you learn to fight like that?" Elsa wondered.
"I...am an Avenger!" Kate admitted to her. "I'm the new Hawkeye."
"Wow. A princess of ice, a bird lady, and Peter is Spider-Man." Elsa said, immediately realizing her mistake and smacking her mouth.
"Wait. Peter's Spider-Man?" Kate asked and had no idea what to think anymore and took the flash drive out. "Why were you after this?"
"I am a cat burglar. I was hired for a job." Felicia informed the two. "What the hell did you tie me on?"
"Sorry, are you uncomfortable?" Kate asked as she slammed the ice pack on the table. "You broke into our home and attacked me trying to steal something. You're lucky we don't call the police."
"Also, there'd be too many questions that neither of us can answer regarding..." Elsa gestured to the pile of snow that she had no idea why it didn't melt by now.
Felicia sighed and knew they had her. "Plug the drive in the computer." She said and Kate decided to do just that, using Peter's laptop he left unlocked. When she plugged it in, she saw the file marked V and clicked it.
Once it was opened, she was shocked to see that there was the DNA sequence of a woman named Vanessa and Richard Fisk. Thinking she knows the names; she did a quick google and was shocked to see that they were indeed related to Wilson Fisk.
Seems Vanessa Fisk died during the blip happening that took her and the life of her...son. She gave birth to a stillborn child during the blip. After shuttering at the idea of when and how that child was conceived, Kate did a little more digging and looked over to Felicia.
"Someone wasn't telling us everything." Kate then showed the two of them the information on this drive contained the information to show there's a multiversal map.
Felicia sighed and knew the truth was out. "I am from another universe." She then eyed Elsa and rolled her eyes. "Another, another universe."
"How'd you learn that?" Elsa asked.
"Because...Felicia Hardy on our world died five years ago in an incident involving a plane crash." Kate said and showed she was of the unfortunate people who lost their pilots and died.
The elevator door then opened, and Peter came in with Eddie close behind to confess everything to everyone. "Hey, guys. I have something to..." He then noticed the cat burglar tied up. "What's up with that?"
"Hi." Felicia greeted him.
"Who's he?" Kate asked and looked at Eddie.
"Hi, I'm Eddie Brock." Eddie introduced himself.
"Elsa." Elsa introduced herself.
"Princess Elsa." Kate corrected and looked at Peter. "And you seem to have already met Spider-Man."
Peter was shocked to see she knew but then recognized the woman as the cat burglar he chased the other day. He looked and saw he had everyone in the same room, and it was time to tell them the truth.
"Okay...I think it'll be best if I start from the beginning." Peter said and saw it was time to tell everyone the truth. Starting from the beginning.
"So... anyone gonna untie me?" Felicia asked them. "Because it sounds like this will take a while and I need the bathroom."
