A/N: Thank you to everyone for the requests/reviews as well as the follows/favorites to continue this story. I appreciate it more than you know. Hope you enjoy this update. I know it's been a long time since I last updated. I am adding a little recap, so you do not have to reread the whole story. Please know it may not fulfil the whole story, but just the important stuff. Please let me know in the review box if you are still with me and this story. Thank you. The numbering of the chapters will be off by one, just to give you a heads up. It may say Chapter 17, but it's really 16. Thank you.

Recap: Sabrina always felt belittled, thanks to her older sister. While wearing her red glasses, she doubted herself, but was very smart. Her mother was a nurse, so she learned from the best. Sabrina's father seemed to have favored the older sister while the mother loved Sabrina. Enter Patrick and Emma. He immediately made Sabrina feel like herself. Like she could do anything. He liked her for her. He was slowly falling for her but felt like he was betraying Robin, who passed away in a car accident months earlier. Emma loved Sabrina and told Patrick she approved of Sabrina. As Patrick and Sabrina grew closer, so did Emma and Sabrina. Soon, they felt like a little family. Everything at work was great too. Sabrina told Patrick about her family life and he felt Sabrina's older sister was not good. Now to present tense. Sabrina asked Elizabeth, her best friend, to help her with something on her date with Patrick.

Title: Another Chance at Love

Chapter 16

(What Sabrina had planned, that Elizabeth was going to help her with, Sabrina wanted for a long time. Sabrina didn't feel comfortable in her own skin enough to do this, until now. She knew that Patrick liked her appearance just fine. However, it was Sabrina who wanted the change. Sabrina was nervous she'd get judged for changing her appearance. She didn't know why. Call it being her own worst critic, if you will)

(While Elizabeth and Sabrina were at Sabrina's apartment, Sabrina couldn't help but fidget. Elizabeth sighs softly and tilts her head at her friend)

Liz: "Sweetie, are you sure that you want to do this? Patrick, or any man for that matter, wouldn't fault you for not doing this."

Sabrina: (shakes her head) "No, I'm fine. I'm a little nervous that Patrick won't like it."

Liz: (serious tone) "If he doesn't appreciate it or you for that matter, he's a damn idiot. You, Sabrina

Santiago, are beautiful, inside and out."

Sabrina: (smiles) "Thank you. I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to do this. Like I said, I wanted to do this for years. No one, no one important, gave me a reason to do this, until now."

Liz: (chuckles) "Patrick must be really special for you to want to do this."

Sabrina: (nods) "He is. I've encountered all types of guys before, but Patrick? He makes me feel like I can do anything I put my mind to."

Liz: "You CAN do anything you set your mind to, girl."

Sabrina: (smiles) "I know." (clears her throat) "How does it look?"

(Elizabeth takes a moment to observe her friend and a bright smile forms on her lips)

Liz: "You look like a princess. A magical princess."

(Sabrina turns around to look in the mirror. She smiles a bit as she looks at herself. Her hair is wavy and part of the top is in a bun while the rest lies on her back. She had pink colored makeup on her eyes, cheeks, and sparkly lip gloss on. As for jewelry, she had small diamond earrings that her mother gave her when she was young. A golden cross necklace was around her neck)

(For her dress attire, she was wearing a pink summer dress. Straps that covered part of her shoulders and the dress covered her top area, but her chest was shown. The dress ended just above her knees. For her nails, they were sparkly white. She had matching two inch pink heels on)

(Elizabeth walks to her friend and rests her hand on Sabrina's shoulders. She looks at her friend in the mirror)

Liz: (smiles) "You look absolutely exquisite. If Patrick or anyone else disagrees, they're idiots."

(Sabrina can't help the laugh that comes out. The two friends face each other)

Liz: "Is this what you meant when you said you needed my help regarding your date with Patrick? I noticed you're not wearing your red glasses."

Sabrina: (smiles a bit) "I have contacts in. I guess you could say that I never felt brave enough to wear them, so I stuck with my glasses." (scoffs) "My sister didn't help matters. She always teased me that I'd never be brave enough to change how I look."

Liz: "But you ARE brave, sweetie. You finally have the courage to wear what you want and wear what you feel." (smiles) "I'm so proud of you."

Sabrina: (chuckles tearfully) "Thank you, Elizabeth. It means so much. I've never had a best friend, like you, before."

Liz: "Same here." (smiles) "I can't wait for Patrick to see you like this."

Sabrina: (hopeful look) "Do you think he'll like this?"

Liz: (nods) "I do." (raises her eyebrows) "What matters is, though, is do YOU like it?"

Sabrina: (smiles) "Very much, I guess I do truly look like a princess."

***Drake House***

(Emma can't help but giggle at her father's nervous state. They were both in his bedroom and he kept looking in the mirror. He wanted to look good for Sabrina. He knew he should have asked her out a long time ago. That was his own stupidity. It was like he was second guessing himself on what to wear)

Emma: "Daddy, you look fine."

(Patrick faces his daughter with a hopeful look)

Patrick: "You really think so?"

Emma: (nods) "Yes. Sabrina will too, if you ever leave."

Patrick: (sighs deeply) "I know."

(Emma was sitting on her father's bed while Patrick looks in the mirror for the last time. His spikey black hair was freshly washed. He had on a tan long sleeve shirt with green dress pants. He had a golden chain around his neck and a little hooped earring. He had days here and there where he didn't wear any jewelry. He decided to tonight. His white socks and blue tennis shoes seemed to blend in with the rest of his outfit. He goes to sit on the bed next to his daughter)

Patrick: "I hope you know that, no matter how things go with Sabrina from this point on, that she could never replace your mother."

Emma: (nods) "I know, daddy. While I will always love and miss mommy…" (smiles) "…I'm glad Sabrina is with us. She makes you happy and she always makes me laugh."

Patrick: (chuckles) "I'm glad." (serious tone) "Because I want you to tell me if Sabrina ever does something to make you sad."

Emma: (shakes her head) "She's never done anything to make me sad." (happily) "I love her. She makes both of us glow."

Patrick: (curiously) "'Glow', huh?"

Emma: (giggles) "Yep! And don't worry, Maxie and I will have a lot of fun."

Patrick: (smirks) "Don't torture her too much."

(The father and daughter embrace before they walk into the living room. Maxie, who was sitting on the couch, faces the duo)

Maxie: "I was beginning to wonder about you two. Thought I was going to have to send out a search party."

Emma: (rolls her eyes) "Daddy was looking into the mirror too much."

(Maxie folds her arms across her chest and tilts her head)

Maxie: "Of course he was."

Patrick: "Hey, you've never had issues with wanting to impress someone."

Maxie: "True. But, from what I've seen and heard, Sabrina is very nice and mature. I'm sure she'll be very impressed. Feel free to leave anytime as I'm sure that you've kept your date waiting long enough." (smirks)

Patrick: (sarcastically) "Funny."

(He hugs and kisses Emma before speaking)

Patrick: "Be good, but I know you will."

(Patrick grabs a light jacket and walks out the door)

Maxie: "Let the date begin."

Emma: "Good luck, daddy."

Chapter 16 Done

I decided to split Chapter 16 into 2 chapters as it was a bit long regarding the whole date night. So, the beginning of the date will take place in Chapter 17. I thought I'd write the experience both Sabrina/Patrick had with their family/friends before beginning the date. Please let me know what you think and kindly review.
