The day was noticeably quiet, no sound came into Lucy's ears. The Eevee stared at nothing, her mind in another place and time felt like it stopped for her. It was not until she felt a paw on her shoulder that the sound of the wind could be heard, and she looks at the Pokemon who touched her who was none other than the guildmaster, Wigglytuff, who had a worried expression and frown.

"Don't worry Lucy, the police will find him. You can count on it!" He said with a smile.

Looking at him, she struggled to think that the police could find him. Her hope of being able to see him, see his smile, was quickly fading. The sense of dread and guilt was consuming her. She could have done something. She knew that Sparky was acting strange lately. She SHOULD have done something. Lucy's ears flattened but she made a small smile and looked at him.

"Ok Wigglytuff" The Eevee said, her voice soft and sore since she cried herself to sleep sometimes.

Lucy groomed her fur before walking up the stairs. Guild members would say hi to her, but she did not reply. They understood her mood and reaction, for they have seen it before when she and Sparky saved the world and she returned to the guild alone. The Eevee left the guild and looked at the sky. She did not bother to search for missions to do and she walked towards the Café.

The day after Sparky went missing, Lucy and the others told the police about it and they started to immediately search for him. At first, she believed that they could find him quickly. That they could be able to bring him back and everything would be back to normal.

"I mean one can hope right?" Lucy told herself after they started the search.

But minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days, and days turned to weeks. It's been 3 weeks since Sparky disappeared. Lucy's hope fading with each day that passed, she would struggle to sleep because she would have the nightmares of Sparky fading away in front of her back in Temporal Tower.

Stacy and Max tried to comfort the Eevee the best they could but to no avail as she would shut herself from the world on some occasions. When she talked, they always felt like she had her mind somewhere else, but they knew the reason. Still the Eevee would hang out with them as she knew that they were worried about her and believed that her Pikachu would return. Or at least she thought so.

However, the search was slowed drastically as areas that was forbidden for pokemon to go to begin to appear. Why was it forbidden you may ask? The area's plants and life there has been corrupted in an unknown way. Plantlife has turned into a purplish color and a mist covered the ground. Pokemon who went to those areas would lose themselves and would become corrupted, their body turning a dark purple and their eyes turning red as a strange symbol was on their head. Those who manage to survive and escape the area were able to contact the police and notify them before going into hiding.

Still Magnezone and his patrol still hasn't given up and are doing the best they can. Even though its not bringing results, she is glad that they are helping her find him.

Lucy sighs and drinks her oran berry juice that she bought from Spinda. The smell and taste of the juice soothed her mind and it made her relax, even if its just for a little bit.

"Lucy how are you holding up…" Max said worried.

"I'm…fine Max. I just... I miss him so much. I feel…so lost without him" Lucy said looking at the cup and she felt her eyes start to water. She sniffled.

Stacy gently hugs Lucy as the Eevee struggled to hide her tears and frustration. Lucy has always been there for Stacy when she was sad or upset about something and helped her. She was glad she was able to repay the favor.

It wasn't long until she recovered and stopped crying and sniffled for the last time and wiped her tears. In the end, Lucy left her goodbyes after spending time with them and returned back. Everything was the same as before for her. Guild members would console her, she would eat, then go to her room. The Eevee looked at her bag and opened it. She looked inside as she wanted to eat a sleep seed. She didn't want to cry herself to sleep tonight, she didn't feel like doing it.

It was then that the light of the moon that came from her window shined into her room to where the bag was currently at and she noticed there was something white within. Confused she goes to pick it up. To her surprise, it was a piece of paper. When she got it fully out, she saw that it was like a map of sorts but there was a line marking some sort of path with a big house like drawing at the end. Lucy's mind was having a whirlwind of thoughts. But with all those thoughts came one simple conclusion.

"This is a map! And Sparky must be at the end of the road!" Lucy thought excited.

The excitement of the Eevee cannot be written in words. But…she would have to report it to the police. Then she remembered how the police failed to locate the Pikachu and how their search has been awfully slow due to the growing corruption areas. She shook her head and lays down on his nest. SHE will be the one to find him. But she could not do it alone…

"You want to do what?" Stacy said confused and surprised to the Eevee, who was extremely excited.

"Look, I found this map on my bag. I think it might help us locate Sparky, OR he is there just waiting for me to find him!" Lucy said, showing them the map.

Stacy takes a closer look and notices a name on the weird house like symbol.

"The…Ruins? That is a weird name of a place of Sparky to be in. And first we have to pass this Purifying Forest to get there?" Stacy said as she stayed close to Lucy. "Besides shouldn't we tell Magnezone about this?" She added.

"I'm sick of just waiting and waiting and waiting for the police to find him. I WANT to do something. Are you in or out?" Lucy said serious.

The Vulpix sadly understood that Lucy was tired of not doing anything. She was worried that the Eevee would do some things that are not ok to do...but then again, she isn't in love with any Pokemon yet so she can't really say anything about it.

"A ruin filled with mysteries and even a forest to explore? COUNT ME IN!" Max said excited and chuckled his star shaped tail wagging.

"That's great Max! What about you Stacy?" Lucy said to her hopeful.

"Well, someone has to keep an eye on both of you. Count me in too" Stacy said with a smile.

Lucy was incredibly happy. Her friends would help her on her quest on finding her beloved Pikachu. Hopefully, they will be able to find them.

They wasted no time and got ready for the big adventure awaiting them. Leaving the café they set on their way to the Purifying forest.
