Danny soared through the summer sky without a care in the world like a bird leaving the nest for the first time. The setting sun a mess of purple, orange, and red at his back as he made his way back home. He was returning from a brutal training session with Dani, he was teaching his female clone about their powers. Things slowed down after the whole meteor incident. He compromised a pact with the local residents of the ghost zone; allowing them entry into the world of the living, IF they behaved themselves.

Most citizens of both worlds were okay with coexisting, except for the select few like the Guys in White and Skulker, who were adamant about hunting the ghost boy. Danny took this peacetime as an opportunity to train himself and Dani's powers. He had to stay vigilant in case of another worldly threat. For now, the only thing kicking his ass was his senior physics class.

Phantom glanced down at kids and parents waving up at him. Everyone knew his name now after saving the world. Daniel Fenton was no longer an unpopular nobody, he had climbed the social ladder. And he was standing short of being the most popular person on the planet. Danny waved back at the crowd and smiled as he zoomed off towards his home.

The halfa landed on the rooftop of his building and changed back into human. Tucker and Sam were awaiting his return by the door. They shared a hug with their best friend; Sam's hug being noticeably longer. Tucker raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. If Danny finally popped the question to Sam, then he would be happy for his bro. But he was willing to bet all his tech that he hasn't.

"How was training?" Sam pondered after she pulled away.

"Great! Dani is improving tremendously in controlling her powers. She was even able to attack with her clones today," Danny answered happily.

"Watch out. One day she'll be stronger than you," Tucker taunted lightly.

Danny laughed, "I hope so. That's the plan after all."

Tucker softly punched Danny's arm and called out, "Nobody will be able to replace Danny Phantom though."

Fenton threw a hoodie on, it got chilly since the sun went down. He smiled at his friend's compliment and led them inside his house. The trio skipped down the stairs and entered the kitchen, where Jazz was currently working on college assignments. The older sister had abandoned her dream of leaving home for a faraway college and decided to stay and commute to a nearby community school. Danny suspected she stayed because of him and begged her to go live her life; but she swore up and down that she simply changed her mind.

"Hey Jazz," Danny greeted, ruffling the hair of his older sister.

"Sup lil bro!" she answered joyfully.

Sam and Tucker grabbed seats at the table as Danny dug through the fridge in search of something refreshing.

"Wow. I remember when you guys couldn't stand to even be in the same room as each other," Sam announced.

Danny closed the fridge with his foot, his hands being used to hold the bottles of water. Fenton threw a bottle at each of his friends before cracking his own open and taking a long swig.

"Things changed," Danny admitted after gulping the cold liquid down.

"We changed…" Jazz corrected. "Even if things were different than they are, you'd still be my annoying little brother."

"And you'd be my stuck-up big sister," Daniel mocked.

"There's a difference between being stuck-up and being responsible."

"That's an excuse stuck-up people made up to make themselves feel better about being no fun."

"I am PLENTY fun!"

Sam and Tucker giggled at the little spat between siblings. One word and they were back at each other's throats again. Danny in the midst of slinging another insult when his signature ghost detector slipped out of his mouth. Everyone in the room went quiet. No matter how many times they witnessed it; it always surprises them into a speechless stupor. Danny got serious, scanning the immediate area outside of the house using his new X-ray ability. Everything seemed normal but he still had a duty to check out the surrounding areas.

Danny flashed into his alter ego, the hoodie he was wearing changed to midnight black and a white "DP" appeared on the front. It seemed the hood had an added ability of completely blocking his face from view. Sam could only see Danny's neon green eyes from within the darkness of the hood.

Phantom went intangible and took off through the roof into the darkening sky. He did a 360 to check for any ghostly mischief. Nothing. He was confused about the lack of paranormal presence after seeing his breath. Another gasp and the blue wisp that leaked out confirmed the nearby ghost. Danny leapt from rooftop to rooftop checking the interior for any disturbance.

Only after he made his way halfway across town did a hole in the side of the town bank gain his attention. Dan swooped down to check out the scene, he could hear approaching sirens in the distance. Bank robbers? Where are the ghosts? Another blue alert crept out of his mouth and several ghostly figures came into view. They looked like a crew of 1940s mobsters; wearing glowing pinstripe suits and fedoras. Each ghost had a bag of money in their hands and were moving towards a small green portal.

"Y'all are robbing banks now? You can't even use the money! What are you gonna buy?" Danny called out.

The otherworldly gangsters ignored the teenager and kept marching towards the portal.

"HEY! Can you hear me!" Danny asked loudly as he waved his hands in the air.

A menacing chuckle came from behind the halfa making his hair stand on end. Instincts told Danny to shoot up into the sky and get as far away as he can from this presence. Running from a fight was unfortunately not an option for the young ghost. He rocketed into the air to increase the distance between himself and the unknown foe. Danny peered down at a tall slender figure donned in a black suit with a matching fedora. A blood red rose pinned to the front breast pocket of his suit jacket. The ghostly man had a wicked smile on his scarred face as he stared back up at Danny. The halfa hadn't felt pure fear like this since fighting Pariah Dark, the literal king of ghosts.

A shot went off and a bullet passed through the gangsta ghost leader harmlessly. Danny switched his attention to where the shot came from and widened his eyes to see several police cars underneath them. Cops were aiming their sidearms at the enemy ghost.

"No! Get outta here!" Danny shouted to the officers.

It was too late. The ghost materialized a tommy gun from his suit jacket and pointed the barrel down at the humans.

"Don't-"

Dozens of bullets rained down on the policemen endlessly. Danny didn't know the types of bullets the ghost used but it cut through the squad cars like paper. Filling the vehicles AND law enforcement with holes from his rapid-fire machine gun. When the bullets pierced the human skin, it caused a spiritual reaction within the body that caused anything in a small radius to burn up. Multiple bullet penetration resulted in the victim being engulfed in hellfire, not extinguishing until only their blackened skeleton remained. The gangsta ghost only released the trigger when there was nothing left besides burning cop cars and scorched corpses. Danny was frozen in absolute shock. He's never seen a ghost kill a human before. He's never seen ANYONE kill anyone before.

"How could you-"

Danny cut himself off when the demon pointed the weapon of destruction at him.

"So you're the halfa everyone is talking about in the G-zone; you don't seem like much to me," the ghost spoke in a gritty tone.

The gangsta pulled the trigger again without hesitation. Danny screamed at every muscle in his body to move before he's filled with holes. Phantom managed to cut right to avoid the initial burst of fire, not before being tagged by one of the fiery bullets. He cupped his side and winced at the tremendous burning sensation traveling through his body. It wasn't the time to complain as more bullets headed his way; he flew around in evasive maneuvers to dodge the gunfire.

Danny gritted his teeth in frustration, he was fighting like a total amatuer right now. If he didn't smarten up then he'd end up in a coffin and all that training would have been for nothing. He'd be damned if he let himself die here on some bullshit. Phantom started his counterattack with what he liked to call a "Phantom Bomb", a delayed attack made from a large ball of ghostly energy. The orb would explode after several seconds like a grenade.

As soon as he got behind the concrete cover of a building, he began to charge up quickly. Danny jumped from behind the corner with the large ball levitating above him, he threw it out at his opponent. Phantom smirked as the gangsta got on the defensive for the slow-moving unknown attack. Phantom Bomb was only a feint; the real plan was to flank and close the distance. If he could get him into a fist fight then the battle would already be going in his favor.

Daniel turned invisible and hastily flew around the building; he smiled when he saw the ghost's back was to him. The gangsta was too busy shooting the orb with a barrage of hellfire bullets to notice him. Danny's fists glowed green as he surrounded them with energy for extra power. A clean hit to the back, the young ghost would end this fight with one strike.

"Did you really think you could sneak up on me, son?" the gangsta scoffed as he glanced back at the approaching halfa.

The ghost pulled a sawed-off shotgun from his jacket and pointed it at the teenager, before pulling the trigger. Danny hit a mean limbo lean to avoid the sudden blast of hell, using his legs to kick the weapon upwards before it let off another shot. Danny pulled off a backwards handspring and came up for a mean uppercut to his foe's chin. The gangsta's head snapped back from the brutal hit and allowed him to see the halfa, now above, wind back for another punch that sent him pummeling down to the asphalt.

A small shockwave emitted from the powerful impact and the ghost slowly began to climb out of the crater he created. Danny superhero landed several feet away with a determined look on his face; he began to approach the gangster slowly.

"Who the fuck are you and what are you doing here?" Danny spat angrily.

Danny's instincts screamed for him to take cover and the teen jumped behind the flaming police car, narrowly dodging the line of fire from the ghostly henchmen. Shit I totally forgot about them… Danny peeked through a hole at the ghosts wildly firing at the car he was behind. A whistle silenced the firing henchmen and Danny noticed it was the black suit gangsta who stopped them. Danny was going to use this opportunity to jump out from cover and blast them back to the ghost-zone.

Dammit. He firmly held his side that was leaking ectoplasm from his previous wound. The pain was spreading and prevented him from standing up to fight. Not only was he tired from training all afternoon but he was shot as well. This was one of the worst days ever. He felt pathetic but staying down would be better for everyone involved.

"Stay out of my business, Phantom or next time you won't walk away."

The last comment made from the gangsta before they entered the portal and disappeared swiftly.

Danny used the hood as leverage to get to his feet. He could hear the sirens of incoming police units and paramedics. Phantom foolishly attempted to fly away but landed right on his face after getting a couple inches off the ground. Danny reverted back to Fenton with a groan.

"Danny!"

He could hear the shouting of his name but he didn't even have the strength to glance up at who was calling him. Phantom gripped at the ground before blacking out in the middle of the street. A tragic night for the town of Amity Park that would be sure to haunt them for years to come. Though it wasn't the last of horrors that would rear their ugly heads in the near future.
