Chapter 9: Good enough

A smile pulled at Sesshomaru's lips as he sketched aimlessly; he sat on his balcony with the midnight sky at his back, the moon hung in the darkened sky illuminating the night. The charcoal between his fingers darkened his finger tips, as he continued to bring the visions in his mind to life; Sesshomaru had always gravitated to drawing as he found it easier to express his emotions through art in lieu of expressing his emotions through words.

He had always been a quiet person, even as a child he preferred to take in the world around him wordlessly. Allowing the noise, and smells to paint a picture in his mind and as he grew with age those images became easier to translate to paper.

Sesshomaru sighed, as he paused his movements as looked into the eyes he had sketched; hardened edges and swift lines surrounded the page. He found himself lately trying to remember a face from his past; the continuous issues between his newfound love and her ex husband had stirred some unresolved subject matter. Thoughts surrounding his father hadn't surfaced in years, and yet as he found himself becoming a pseudo parent to Shippou, he found his mind drifting to his father. His father had left his family when he was a young boy, and never showed his face again; and his mother, being the overtly passionate woman she was, burned every photo and every bit of his essence from their lives.

His fathers face was a blurry mess in his mind, and the image he had sketched was no better; he let out a groan and uncurled himself from his chair, and stretched his legs. He stood and walked over to the railing on his balcony, and leaned against the rusty piece of metal as his gaze drifted to the skies. He found himself wondering lately where his father was now, and if he felt his absence; he wondered if his father felt the weight of his actions or if the man simply erased him from his memory the same way his mother did. His silver hair fell as his head dipped, the silver curtain shielding his face as his throat felt like sandpaper as his eyes stung; a loud knock shook him free of the chains of the past and brought him back to reality. He cleared his throat, and walked through his sliding door and over to the front door, he passed through his living room and barely noticed the floor littered with paper.

His hand circled the knob, and he pulled the old wooden door open revealing a similar pair of golden eyes. He smiled softly, and asked "Can't sleep?"

His mother nodded, and held up a container of ice cream "Ice cream?" she said

He chuckled, and allowed his mother to walk into his apartment, he closed the door and paused as her eyes fell onto the floor at the deserted pages on the floor. She bent and picked up a single page and cocked her head as her brows furrowed.

"Whose this?" she asked as she stared into a pair of eyes

He ran his hand through his hair, and said " Father, I think" before he walked over to the kitchen and leaned against the counter. She walked over silently, and said "So he's stalking you too huh?"

He frowned and said "Has he been plaguing your mind?"

She nodded, and placed the ice cream on the counter; Sesshomaru handed her a spoon "Yes and Kiri accused me of hiding so it's been at the forefront of my mind as of late"

"Hiding? What does he mean?" Sesshomaru asked as he stabbed his spoon into the chocolatey ice cream

She sighed and said carefully "Kiri and I knew each other when we were younger, and he actually knew of your father"

Sesshomaru's eyebrows raised, as his jaw slacked "Why didn't you tell me mom?"

"I know how much your fathers absence has hurt you Sesshomaru-"

"Mom-" Sesshomaru begun, before Kimi raised her hand and waved him off slightly

"Moonbeam, you can hide from the world but you cannot hide from me!"

Sessshomaru sighed, and chuckled dryly "Our codependency is becoming frighteningly obvious"

Kimi laughed wholeheartedly, and shrugged "As I was saying, Kiri knew your father and has made a rather loud point about me seemingly hiding in Harlem"

Sesshomaru nodded slowly "Is that why we have never visited home?"

Kimi glared at Sesshomaru silently, as Sesshomaru continued "We haven't visited Grandfather in a decade and we rarely call, perhaps your red haired lover is correct"

Kimi snorted, and said sarcastically "Red haired lover? My you have warmed up to him so quickly"

Sesshomaru rolled his eyes, and scoffed

"Perhaps he is right, but I cannot help the pain I still feel" she said softly

Sesshomaru nodded slowly, and said "I understand Mom, I feel the same and I cannot even remember what he looks like"

She nodded slowly as her eyes drifted over to the living room, her eyes focusing on the papers littering the floor. "Do you remember anything about him?" she asked cautiously

Sesshomaru shook his head softly "I can remember his presence, and small things like the shape of his hands or the color of his eyes but nothing concrete. I could pass him on the sidewalk and I wouldn't know" he playfully stabbed his spoon into the ice cream, as he sighed.

She bit her lip, and asked wearily "Do you wish to find him?"

Sesshomaru's eyes found his mothers, and he said quietly "Maybe, I don't know! I have so many questions and I'm angry Mom! There's much I do not understand"

Silence filled the room as the pair stood quietly as the weight of their past began to take a toll. Sesshomaru was always very cautious of his mothers feelings surrounding his father, and he knew that if he sought his father out then it would certainly affect her in some way.

"I want to protect you from it all, from him" she said quietly

"Do you think I would be met with violence? Or that he would hurt my person"

Kimi shook her head and said bitterly "No, your father never had the spine for violence! He's more into emotional warfare. He's a master at locating a weakness inside of someone and exploiting it for his own gain! He would use your want for connection, for family Moonbeam, against you! I barely survived, and I had you"

"He plagues my mind Mom, and ever since I met Kagome and started to co-parent her son. I've started to wonder how can I begin to be a father when I've never had one" Sesshomaru said somberly

Kimi tsked and said "There is nothing he could teach you on that subject my sweet boy! If you wish to find him, I will not stand in your way. All I ask is that we do it together"

Sesshomaru nodded, and said "Allow me time to think about it, I'm not keen on blowing up my life for no reason"

Kimi chuckled, and nodded quietly as her thoughts began to swirl. She felt nauseous thinking about having Toga back into their lives; she knew how her son was when he set his mind to something! He would pursue this conquest, and when he found out about how close Toga was or his connection to Kagome or the fact that she knew the whole time; She eyed him as he ate the ice cream in silence, and she sighed.

She knew he would react badly.

Kirinmaru huffed as sweat beaded on his forehead, his shoes banged against the treadmill, his muscles flexing as he pushed himself past the burn. His breathing erratic as his pectorals bounced with each moment, he was lost in his thoughts as he continued to run. After his rehab stint, he found solace in working out, the burn in his muscles reminded him of the relief he would feel whenever he got high. Sweat dripped down his face, his bangs clinging to his forehead as he continued to workout.

He was frustrated with Kimi, and her inability to see the reality of the situation; since their argument he had been declining her calls and avoiding her. It was difficult to stay away from her especially when he'd been without her presence for a long time and he had missed her terribly. He understood why she kept him at arm's length, and he had relished the opportunity to prove to her that he was someone she could rely on but it was insanely frustrating that she still cherished Toga's memory and their marriage.

He wondered if she still loved him, and whenever his mind drifted towards that certain subject he could feel himself itching for a hit. The crease where his forearm and bicep would begin to heat, and he'd try to swallow the feeling or work though the feeling with exercise or work; he wanted to remain sober. During his time in rehab, he had time to reflect on the choices in life that brought him to this point and he realized that he had a tendency to push his feelings and bottle them up which only led to him using something to numb the pain. So instead of him keeping his thoughts to himself, he had divulged his thoughts to Kimi and he refused to back down,he was sure his sponsor would be extremely impressed with this latest development.

He was lost in his world, and didn't notice a hand drift to the buttons on the machine. The machine slowed bringing him back to reality, his hands found the handles as he moved to stand on the sides of the treadmill, off the rotating sheet.

He looked to his left, and down at Toga who looked less than pleased. He moved to remove his earbuds, and said frustrated "I was in the middle of something Toga, whatever it is can wait"

Toga clicked his tongue "I think my best friend and business partner hiding my ex wife and child's whereabouts is high priority" Toga said angrily, his jaw clenched

Kirinmaru rolled his eyes, as he said "It's wonderful to see you still have a flair for the dramatics" the red haired demon climbed down from the perched treadmill and grabbed the hanging white towel. He moved through the crowded gym towards the changing room, the angry silver inu trailing him.

"Kirinmaru, this isn't funny! How long have you known?" Toga asked as Kirinmaru opened the door to the changing room, and walked towards the lockers. The dragon demon mindlessly opened the metal locker door, and gripped his belongings , the sound of the other gym patrons echoing through the same.

Toga banged his fist into the metal lockers, slamming the door in Kirnmaru's face. The dragon demon looked at the dog demon, clenched jaw and cocked eyebrow "You want me to kick your ass?" Kirnmaru asked seriously

"How long?" Toga asked, as he punctured his words. Red seeping into gold; as the dog demon's control begun to slip

Kirnmaru peered into Toga's eyes, and took a step forward; he blew out hot air letting the dog demon know that he was on the verge of being burnt.

"Why? So you can abandon them again? Toga you made your choice!" Kirnmaru said angrily, peering into the dog demon's eyes.

"You don't understand, I-" Toga stumbled as he struggled to find words

"I don't understand? You forget that I was there, that it was I would stumbled upon and Izayoi, and it was I that begged you to tell Kimi the truth and leave that stupid whore and save your family! Instead you jetsoned your family and erased every single piece of evidence of them from your life. Inuyasha doesn't even know he has a brother"

Toga sighed deeply, and he shook his head "Izayoi wanted us to have a clean slate, and I was young Kiri! I made a mistake and If I could go back-"

"Don't you fucking dare! They aren't toys Toga, you can't just pick them back up because you realize you made a mistake. The damage you've done! Kimi deserved better, she deserves better"

Toga clenched his jaw, and scowled at Kirinmaru "Do not lecture on the dealings of family" he spat

Kirinmaru sneered "Do not claim to know anything about family when you've created and destroyed two" he said with nostrils flared

Toga took a step closer to his old friend, and seethed "You know nothing of what it is to love, and to create life! All you've ever done is shoot up and get high out of your mind"

Kirinmaru frowned, as Toga's words stung, he clenched his jaw and said "Fuck you Toga, you've never loved anyone but yourself"

"And who have you loved Kirinmaru? Other than models and coked out whores" Toga spat

"Shut up, you don't know me" Kirinmaru said, his teeth bared as he warned the silver haired demon; he turned on his heel trying to escape Toga.

"Or are you still carrying a torch for my ex wife?" Toga taunted, the words feeling like poison on his tongue.

Kirinmaru halted his movements, and stood eerily still before turning to look at Toga; his eyes widened.

"What do you mean?" Kirinmaru asked cautiously

Toga arched eyebrow, and crossed his arms "Kirinmaru, did you think I didn't notice? How could I have not? Especially with how you used to look at her! the only reason I let it go was because of your loyalty and-"

"Let it go? You've known about my feelings for Kim and yet you asked me to stand by you?" Kirinmaru asked, as his mind reeled as his life was flashing in his mind.

"She was my wife Kirinmaru, and I don't need to explain my reasoning to you! Now how long have you known?" Toga asked

Kirinmaru stood quietly; tremors shook through his body as he looked over at his oldest friend. He clenched his fist, cocked back and rammed his fist into Toga's face. He watched the silver haired demon fall backward, and cradle his face.

"You son of a bitch, I've been in love with her for years and I hated myself for it! I felt so vile because you were my friend and yet you knew and used my feelings against me? Fuck you" Kirinmaru growled, leaving the silvered haired demon along with his thoughts. Kirnmaru entered the shower booth, and roughly removed his clothes before turning on the water and standing beneath the stream.

He felt the water cascade down his body as he placed his head against the cold tile, he felt his throat constrict as tears began to prickle his felt Toga's words pierce his heart, and the last shred of dignity begin to crumble; he began to think that the last few decade of his life had been a lie. He had hidden his feelings out of respect for his friendship with Toga, and his love for Kimi but instead it had been used against him. His so-called best friend had manipulated him into staying by his side, he clenched his eyes trying to push down the feeling of betrayal. This entire fucked up situation had led him towards a lonely, and drug fueled life; he had wasted his entire life standing beside someone who used his warped version of family, and loyalty against him.

His tears streamed down his face, as his face twisted in pain. He shuddered as he felt a familiar stinging heat in his arm; he closed his eyes and pushed himself off of the tiled wall and began to absentmindedly drag his hands across his body, washing the grim off his body.

After abusing the shower, he stepped out and pulled out his towel; he dried himself off and quietly pulled on his sweatpants. He allowed a familiar numbness to caress his mind, as he tried to stop the tidal wave of emotion washing over him. He tried to stop the carousel of images flowing through his mind; images of how he met Toga, Kimi and their friendship, Toga and Kimi's wedding, Sesshomaru as a baby. He shut his eyes firmly, and groaned painfully before reaching for his bag and beelining for the exit.

Kirinmaru sat against the wall of his bedroom in the dark of the night, he had tried to silence his mind as he continued to hear an echo of Toga's words run through his mind. He bit his lip, as sweat continued to pebble on his brow; his breath shuddered as his heartbeat quickened. He brought his knees to his chest and hugged them tightly, as he tried to relieve the pain inside of his chest, he looked up at his ceiling and began counting back from 100.

His history

99.

A memory of Kimi and Toga saying their vows flashed through his mind sending a shiver down his spine.

98.

A memory of Sesshomaru as a child clutching Toga's finger tightly flashed through his mind; a sob broke through.

97.

A memory of him standing beside Toga on his wedding day; his arm began to burn as he craved relief

96.

Kimi's tear stained face flashed through his mind, the sound of her crying and a vase shattering echoed through his apartment. He banged his head roughly on the wall behind him, as he tried to shake the thoughts from his mind. The feeling of betrayal was slowly replaced with regret and a realization that he had wasted his life standing beside someone who used him; he banded his hand again against the wall in an attempt to still the thoughts swirling through his mind. He groaned as sweat beaded on his forehead; he clawed at the wall anxiously as his emotions warred inside of him.

A scream ripped through his throat leaving his throat raw; his eyes were blurred with tears as a familiar voice begun to creep into his mind

"You've been good Kirinmaru, you've earned it" a sick voice rang through his mind

He groaned tilting his head upward, his breath hitched

"I miss you Kirinmaru, don't you miss me too"

He pushed himself off the floor, and stumbled towards the bathroom. He stood in front of the mirror, and flinched at his reflection. His bangs clung to his forehead, his skin was pasty and sickly and his normally vibrant scarlet hair was dulled and knotted. He turned on the tap, and listened to the sound of the water hitting the skin, he bent and splashed some water on his face.

"It's just one hit Kirinmaru, that's all you need" the voice said with a desperate tone.

He bit his lip, and tried to begin counting again

95.

"Why are you wasting your time with this? You know what you need"

94.

"Just one hit, and you won't even remember her face"

He stopped, and took a breath as his strength began to wane.

"It makes you forget her name"

He looked into the mirror, as his vices continued to call him; he had been dedicated to his sobriety and he was proud of how far he had come but there was still a part of him that craved that high. He remembered the last time he had indulged; his eyes slide closed as the memory began to play through his mind. He had reached that peak he had been chasing, and he remembered the utter peace he felt, his skin had finally stopped crawling with a sickly feeling of need and disgust.

He had made a vow in rehab that this time he would fight harder to stay sober; during the years after his abrupt departure from Kimi's life he had chosen a vice to dull the pain in his chest, the pain of his own failure, and as he lived the high life after the success of his own partnership with Toga; his friends family grew but as did Kirinmaru's own loneliness. He took great comfort inside of many nameless women, and the drugs lit his blood a flame, giving him the illusion of life. The climax of his addiction had peaked during one of his famous ragers, hundreds of people he didn't know flocked and enjoyed the decadence while he had been alone in the bathroom trying to tap a vein; his last stint in rehab hadn't lasted long but instead of his high bringing him to nirvana, it had brought him St Mary's Hospital, when some model had called Toga and his oldest friend found him face down in his own vomit convulsing.

After his struggles with sobriety; he decided to give it all that he had this time and cut ties with all his so-called friends and took time off to concentrate on getting better because the last time he had answered the call of his vices, he had almost met the creator.

"But that's what you want Kirinmaru, to be free of this"

He screamed, launching himself at the bathroom sink before he slammed his fist into the mirror cracking his reflection. The broken pieces fell onto the floor, and into the sink; blood dripped onto the floor as he paused for a moment before he stormed into his bedroom and tossed the lamp across the room. He ripped his wallet free from his abandoned jacket on the floor and gripped his phone before stalking toward the door; his hair whipping behind as he reached the door, and gripping the door knob tightly. He ripped the door open loudly, just before his cell phone rang in the darkness of his penthouse suite

His gaze fell to his phone as the breath left his body, the sight of her name stilled him for a moment.

"You can never have her, but I'm always here" the voice said

A cry bubbled in his throat, and he lazily hit decline, the blood coating his fingers causing him to slip slightly. He moved towards the elevator leaving his door ajar, he reached to press the bottom when a voice rang through the cold empty space.

"Kiri?hello?" a womans voice rang through the quiet space, illuminating the darkness that threatened to take over.

He stopped, and looked around frantically.

"Am I loosing my mind" he thought

"Kiri, please talk to me" the voice continued pleading drowning out the voice of his vice

He looked down at his phone, and realized he had accidentally answered the phone. He hesitantly lifted his phone to his ear, and sighed as her voice continued to ring through his ears.

"Kiri, I know you are upset with me! I'm trying to apologize" Kimi said softly, her voice pleading with him

Silence hung through the air, before he managed to find his voice.

"Help please" Kirinmaru croacked

"Kirinmaru, where are you? what's going on?"

"Help please" Kirinmaru repeated, unable to force himself to say anything else.

"Okay, I'm coming! Tell the address"

"What's your address? Kiri?" she said frantically

"Penthouse, Central Park Tower" he said before disconnecting the line, he leaned against his wall and slid down. His body exhausted from the internal battle, he sat on the floor in front of his apartment, a sigh leaving his body before his eyes slid closed.

Kagome sat quietly on the floor of her living room with a smile gently creeping on her face as she watched Shippou chase Sesshomaru around, the pair had been playing together for the last few hours and she was happy to see Shippou enjoying himself. The small fox had finally begun to warm up to Sesshomaru, and she noticed a certain fondness in how Sesshomaru cared for Shippou. Her gaze moved as she looked out of the window watching the signs of fall begin to sprout as trees shook free of their leaves. She sighed as the crisp cool air fluttered through her living room, and the change of the season came with a promise of healing, and as the city underwent changes so did she. She found herself smiling again, as if a piece of herself had finally come back to life. She had been filled with so much anger and sadness during the summer when she and Inuyasha had broken up; she still remembered the feeling of anguish when she had walked in on Inuyasha and Kikyo having sex in their own home but like the leaves changing, so did she. When the memory found itself at the forefront of her mind, she'd merely chuckle and continue her task, she no longer found herself crippled by her anger and grief.

She looked over at Sesshomaru who lifted Shippou high in his arms, and blew raspberries onto the boy's belly earning a string of laughter. She smiled brightly, as she realized the reason for her change; Sesshomaru had come into her life and been patient with her, he helped her get back on her feet and her crazy mood swings were met with understanding and words of encouragement. He stirred a passion inside of her that she hadn't experienced before; he brought her back to life.

She watched his strong arms flex,as he tossed Shippou in the arm and caught him before repeating his previous action. Her eyes dragged up his body, and she felt a familiar flicker of lust begin to spark inside of her as she watched him play with her son. He fit perfectly into their family, as if he had always been meant to fill this spot. She bit her lip at the thought, she had wanted initially to take their blossoming love slowly but she couldn't stop herself from craving his attention, his touch and his lips on hers. She found herself watching him at work, memorizing how his body moved and the subtle movements in his face, and his hands and his overall calming demeanor.

Sesshomaru huffed as he placed the laughing kit on the floor, and said jokingly "Whew I'm so tired" as he crumbled onto the floor prompting the small child to climb over him like he was a jungle gym. He chuckled, and looked over at Kagome before he said "Man down! I believe I require reinforcements"

Kagome laughed, and placed her cup down on the table before moving towards the struggling pair, she reached for Shippou and lifted him onto her hip; her fingers dancing along his soft tummy tickling the small kit earning a stream of giggles.

"Are you attacking Sesshomaru" she asked laughing, as he son smiled brightly

"I'm conquering Mount Sess mama"

"Ah well it's time for the conquer to go to bed" Kagome said

Shippou exclaimed "Awe mama, can't I play with Sess a little longer"

Sesshomaru rose to his feet, rolled his shoulders as he peered down at the excited kit.

"We can play in the morning little one" Sesshomaru said softly

Shippou bit his lip nervously, and asked "Will you be here in the morning?"

Kagome stilled, as her heart ached; her blue eyes found Sesshomaru's golden ones, shrouded with concern.

"I will always be here, Shippo " Sesshomaru said sincerely, reassuring the small fox demon.

Kagome smiled, and said "He will be here in the morning okay" before she turned on her heel and walked out of the living room leaving the silver haired demon alone with his thoughts. He stretched the kinks out of his muscles, and cracked his neck.

He had spent all afternoon with Kagome and Shippo; they had gone out for an early dinner and he realized Kagome's obsession with Chinese food, particularly buffets. He chuckled as he remembered her fourth plate, and the pile of food that was packed onto her plate. After having their fill, they had returned back home and he and the small child had spent the entire time playing around the house. They played hide and seek, tag and more recently "Conquer Mount Sesshomaru"; he had a great time with the small child and he enjoyed playing with the kit. As an only child he had become accustomed to being alone, especially when he was a child; the aspect of having a child had never been a thought in his mind, as was the same for being married. He had grown up with a single parent, and had dealt with the aftermath of his father's mess, and because of this he never allowed anyone to get too close.

However regardless of his personal experience, he found himself drawn towards the empty space in their family. He wanted to be a father, and a husband and most importantly he wanted to be those things to Shippo and Kagome. He bit his lip, at the thought, it both excited him and scared him; he had this gnawing feeling in his mind that made him insecure. As if because of his upbringing, and his lack of father figure it meant that he couldn't possibly understand what it would take to father a child. He knew it was irrational, and his mother had reassured him that those thoughts were not only false, but completely idiotic because there was nothing that his father would have taught him about child rearing or what a good husband was. He was relying on instinct and what felt right, and he hoped that he was at least doing a half decent job.

Kagome came down the stairs after putting Shippou to sleep and found Sesshomaru looking out the window lost in thought. She approached the stoic demon quietly, and wrapped her arms around his midsection before laying her head on his mid back.

"You're thinking very loudly" she mumbled

His clawed hand rested atop hers, and she looked out the window at the night sky.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought" he said before turning around to face the petite human.

She bit her lip, and looked up at him "What were you thinking about?" she asked hesitantly, her blue eyes sparkling.

He looked down at her, his gaze softening as his hand gently cupped her face "Everything! What it means for me to be with you and the kit" he said truthfully

She nodded slowly "Do you regret it? Or think we are moving too fast" she asked quietly as she leaned into his palm.

He frowned, and said "Of course not Kagome, quite the opposite. I love being in a relationship with you and I love Shippo"

Kagome's eyes widened, and she whispered "Relationship?"

Sesshomaru chuckled lowly, and said "I suppose we've never truly spoken about that"

Sesshomaru moved towards the couch, his large hand gently encompassing hers as he moved them towards the couch. He sat down, and looked over at her; his large body towering hers, he looked into her oceanic blue eyes and searched her face for any sign of hesitation. He took in a deep breath before he spoke "I've had an incredible time getting to know both of you Kagome and would love nothing more than to make our relationship official. Do you feel the same?"

Kagome's eyes begun to brim with tears, as she shook her head vigorously "Yes Sesshomaru, I feel the same"

He smiled softly, "Would you be my girlfriend?" he asked

She launched into him, and pull him into a deep hug before whispering into his ear "Of course, I would love nothing more"

He clasped his hands on the side of her face before pulling her into a deep kiss; he pressed his lips against the petal soft one and gently deepened their kiss. He pressed his tongue lightly and swept her bottom lip, gently asking for permission. She happily complied, allowing his tongue to explore, and caress the inside of her mouth; his hand moved to cradle her head as she pressed her body into his, earning a moan from the raven haired woman. They locked themselves in a soft passionate embrace, pouring all their hope and love into each other; the kiss spoke of promises, and a new love that attempted to heal them both.

She pulled away gently, her cheeks dusted pink as her eyes half lidded, she looked into his molten gaze "Do you want to go upstairs?" she asked

He smirked, and rose from the couch; she followed suit before he gripped her legs, pulled her against him and wrapped her legs around his waist. She gasped as he held her close to him, and walked towards the staircase, never breaking eye contact. Her breasts were pressed against his chest tightly as they moved up the stairs. Excitement bubbled in her stomach, as he neared her bedroom; he opened the door and gently shut it behind him before placing softly on the bed. She leaned upwards on her elbows, and watched as Sesshomaru seductively removed his shirt exposing his broad chest and toned muscular body.

She stared at him heatedly as he moved towards her, and gently crawled on top of her. His gaze softened, as he pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, and then her cheek before softly grazing her lips. His kisses were sincere, and filled with love; something Kagome hadn't felt in years, he held her softly as she felt his weight on top of her, she parted her thighs allowing him space to move against her. His lips found her neck, and she sighed as he dragged his tongue across the sensitive skin on the jugular of her neck; a moan left her lips as he nipped the soft flesh.

She hadn't felt this heated, and if she was being honest with herself, ever. The passion Sesshomaru elicited from her, and drew out was hot; his touch left goosebumps in their wake as the hair on her neck stood on edge in anticipation.

She wanted everything with him, and tonight she was finally going to have it.

Oh don't hate me, I've had the craziest few months!
