Chapter 85: Fallen Angel

Thirty Years Ago…

The doctor heard a knock on his door.

"Alright, alright I'm coming!" the man said as he opened the door and saw who it was. "Oh, it's you."

"West," spoke the father of Abigail and Joseph, the previous Director Gates. "I am in need of your service."

"I am a bit busy right now, Isaac," West said, about to close the door but Isaac Gates stopped him.

"Please, it's very important!" Isaac declared. "Look." He gestured to a body bag that had been carried over to them by Isaac's men. One of them unzipped the body bag, revealing to West the dead body of a young girl, with half of her face slashed and her arm missing.

"Who is she?" Isaac asked.

"Her name is Angelica Sinclair," Isaac explained. "Her mother is a family friend… she wants her daughter brought back. Can you do it?"

West looked at the body. "To die so young… was she mauled by some kind of beast?"

"A witch who turned into a monster," Isaac clarified.

"Well, I would have to repair the damage to her face," West said while going over the body. "And her arm needs to be replaced." He turned to Isaac. "But… it can be done."

Isaac Gates shook West's hand. "Thank you, Dr. West. I really appreciate it."

"Oh, come on Isaac," West replied. "After all this time, please… call me Victor."

Back in Gravity Falls outside of the Mystery Shack, men in white were securing the bodies of Luz, Amity, Eda, Lilith, Gus, Eve, and Star along with Dipper, Mabel, Stan, McGucket, and Camila in vans.

One of the men heard a noise and turned around, only to miss seeing a cat passing by. He scoffed while turning back around.

"What are we going to do now?" Acorn asked while popping up from behind Ghost's side, both of them hiding in the bushes.

"I don't know…" Ghost replied while looking at the knocked out Amity in concern.

"Do you see the lavender-haired witch's shadow?" one man asked another as they looked around.

"Still accounted for," the other man said as he shook his man, not realizing that Sam was currently pretending to be Camila's shadow, trying not to draw attention to herself when seeing Amity being carried off by the men and placed in one of their vehicles. "Don't worry, Amity, I'll think of something to help you and your friends."

Powers walked over to Angel. "Director Gates, I have been observing this town for over a month now, I demand an explanation!"

"You want an explanation, Agent Powers?" Angel asked him. "Come with me if you really are interested. After all, we both have our own interests in the weirdness going on."

Powers was silent for a moment. "Alright," he decided before he turned around to address his men. "Alright men, you stay here to keep watch the Shack! Set up a perimeter and keep the locals away."

A few miles outside of Gravity Falls, there was a mountain. A procession of large, white vehicles with the symbol of the Archangels on them drove down a pathway leading inside the mountain, which revealed a lair inside.

Once the vehicles came to a stop, soldiers marched over to transfer the prisoners. A bald man with pale skin wearing black shades and a white suit came up.

"Agent Raphael," spoke one soldier. "We got the cargo. Six confirmed witches, a Mewman, a hybrid, a demon of some sort, a shapeshifter, and five humans."

Raphael nodded. "Place the inhumans in separate cells. As for the humans… put them in one."

The soldiers began to transport the unconscious Boiling Isles residents to their cells. They passed by many cells that contained other magical creatures, many of them residents of Gravity Falls. Which included a Manotaur, the Multi-Bear, three gnomes in one cell, and Joke R. McPolka and his clowns.

"Looks like Johnny-Law's brought some new prisoners," McPolka noticed.

One soldier passed by a seemingly empty cell and rolled his eyes. "Nice try, Randall."

Revealing himself was a purple, lizard-biped monster who resembled an iguana and had been invisible moments earlier. "Oh come on, I was doing good this time!" He then heard a beep from a white, Volkswagen beetle with a red, white and blue stripe across, with the number '53' on each side. "Ah quiet, Herb," Randall told the living car.

"Look Sylvia, we have new neighbors!" an orange, furry alien wearing red sneakers said happily.

"More like new cellmates, Wander," spoke Sylvia, a horse-like blue alien with a hot-pink mane, fur on her tail, and two fingers each as well as two toes each. She was in the cell next to Wander.

They passed by more cells containing goblins, gremlins, and gremoblins before one soldier dropped King in his cell along with Vee was placed a cell next to him. Eda and Lilith were dropped in different cells. Gus was placed in a cell that was across from another witch in her cell, who noticed him. The witch got a closer look at him, her eyes widening as she took her hood off.

"Augustus?" Jenny Porter whispered, backing away in shock.

Amity, Star, and Eve were placed in their cells, with Luz being the last one placed in a cell. The soldiers closed the see-through barriers that were in front of the cells once they were secure.

"Alright, we got all the prisoners in," one soldier said.

"Send confirmation to Director Gates and Agent Raphael," another responded as they left the unconscious witches in their cells.

"Luz… Luz, wake up!"

Luz started to stir as she groaned. Her own hand slapped her face to wake her up faster. "Ow! Maya, what the hell?!" Luz complained.

"Wake up, we're in danger!"

"What?" Luz looked around, finding herself in a blank cell. She looked to see Amity across from her in her own cell. "Amity…" she said as she transformed into her cambion form and started pounding on every surface of the cell. Nothing. She even attempted to cast a spell, but it just bounced off the walls back at her, launching her back and causing her to realize that she couldn't break out of her cell. So she did the only other thing she knew she could do in this situation: she started to curse. "FUUUCK!"

Her cursing eventually started to wake up her friends. When Amity woke up she saw Luz cursing while flying around crazy trying to escape.

"Luz?!" Amity cried out as she got up.

"Amity?" Luz turned around as she went to the front of her cell. "Are you alright?! You're not hurt, are you?!"

"I should be fine," Amity replied while their friends and family started waking up.

"Ooh, what happened?" King asked as he and Vee woke up, the eyes of the basilisk widening in terror as she realized where she was.

"We're trapped!" Vee exclaimed.

Lilith had woken up and she saw her sister in a cell across from her. "Eda, Eda are you awake!?"

Eda stirred. "Yeah… I should be…" She looked around at her surroundings. "Oh dammit!" She started to call out. "Luz! King! Amity! Anyone can hear me?!"

"Loud and clear, mom!" Luz responded as Eve started to wake up.

"AAH, Where am I now?!" Eve exclaimed.

"We don't know," Amity replied. "Where's Dipper? Mabel? Star?"

Star was next to Luz in her cell as she began to wake up. Looking at her surroundings, she tried to blast her way out like Luz had tried but her magic beam was instead ricocheted around her cell. "Gah!" she cried out as she dodged the beam.

"Star, can you see anyone else?!" Amity asked her.

Star looked around. "No… I don't see Stan, or the twins anywhere," Star confirmed.

"I don't see them either," Lilith said worriedly.

"Just where are we?!" King asked while looking around.

Eda noticed the 'A' symbol over each of the cells. She recognized that symbol. "No… nonononono… it can't be!"

Gus was the last to wake up. "Ugh… what happened…" He noticed the person in the cell across from him. She tried to hide herself but he got a good look at her. "No… no it… it can't be you!"

"Welcome to Purgatory," said a female voice.

Everyone turned to see a woman in a white suit standing in the hallway in front of their cells. Eda's eyes widened. "No… Angel?!"

"Angel?!" Luz asked in disbelief.

Angel turned to Eda, looking at her in confusion. "How do you know me?"

"Angel… it's me, Eda!" Eda to the front of her cell, but Angel's expression did not change.

"We have never met, so you are either deluded or trying to trick me, though given your history I am led to believe the latter, Marilyn… or is it Eda?" Angel asked while looking at the other new prisoners. "You all must be wondering why you're here and who we are…"

"Department A, I assume," Luz spoke up and Angel turned to her.

"Correct, Luz Clawthorne," Angel told her. "We were waiting for you to return to Gravity Falls, since we knew it would only be a matter of time. What we don't know is what exactly you are… though we will find out soon enough. It is obvious enough that you are no longer human, at the very least."

"Got a problem with that?" Luz snarled while Angel walked to her cell.

"Oh, I absolutely do," Angel said while in front of Luz's cell. "I want to know what those evil witches have done to you, and for that matter, I want to know how your birth mother is alive after she died fourteen years ago."

Luz gave her a look. "I should ask you the same thing, Angel Sinclair."

Angel raised her eyebrow. "I have no idea what you're talking about." She then noticed Star in her cell. "Ah yes, the refugee Mewman that we've been looking for…"

"Fuck off," Star said, gritting her teeth.

Angel didn't respond to her while looking at the rest of the prisoners. "None of you should be expecting to leave this place, because this is the place where your kind gets brought so that they won't hurt anyone. Here you will be studied, and when there's nothing left from you to be learned…" She gave a smirk. "You'll be disposed of."

Everyone looked worried when she said that, Vee looking more panicked than everyone else. Star noticed Vee looking like she was gonna have a panic attack while turning to Angel.

"Hey, my friend's having a panic attack, do something!" Star pointed to Vee, but Angel just ignored her plea.

"You should all make yourselves comfortable, because this place is your new home for the remainder of your days," she told them while walking away, leaving the others to their cells.

Luz looked livid at this woman while everyone was distraught by their current situation.

"Mom," Luz said to Eda. "Is this really the same Angel?"

Eda shut her eyes while looking down. "I'm not even sure anymore…"

Luz then looked to Vee while she was having a panic attack, hearing her breathing heavily. Amity spoke up. "Vee, can you hear my voice?"

"I… I…" Vee was in tears, shaking now that she was in a cell again. "I can."

"Listen, everything's going to be alright," Luz assured her. "We'll get out of here, not our first prison break."

"Yeah," Eda nodded. "You wouldn't believe how many times I've been locked up, this will be nothing, even without magic."

"You have to calm down, Vee!" Star states, while worried for her.

"This is only temporary, Vee," Gus assured her while ignoring his mother's presence. "Just take deep breaths, count every breath you take by three."

"And just look at your surroundings, see who's with you around here," Amity advised while Vee did the breathing technique.

"I see… Star… Gus…" Vee states as she breathed slowly, feeling calm down. "Luz… Eve… and-" She looked at Lilith's cell, her eyes widening while Lilith got a good look at her. "Head Witch Lilith?!"

"Oh… you must be Vee…" Lilith waved to her awkwardly.

"Oh… right," Luz smacked her head, completely forgetting about Lilith and Vee's history.

Meanwhile, the humans had woken up from their slumber.

"Great, in prison again," Stan muttered.

"Where's Luz and the others?" Dipper asked while walking back and forth.

"Dear lord, what is going on now?!" Camila exclaimed.

"That's what we want to know," said Agent Powers.

All turned to see Powers and Triggers in front of their cell. The Pines were shocked to see the two agents.

"Oh great, the fuzz again," Stan said, remembering when he saw the agents after they came to the Shack to look for anything strange.

"The government guys?" Mabel asked. "We thought you were eaten by those zombies I raised! Sorry about that, by the way."

"We survived… barely," Trigger said.

"I used Trigger as a human shield," Powers explained. "He cried like a baby."

"What? Hey! Not in front of these guard guys!" Trigger pointed to some patrolling guards.

"Where are we?!" Stan demanded.

"Where's Luz, Eda, Vee, and the rest of our friends?!" Dipper also demanded.

"You can't treat us like this! Why are we here?!" Camila asked.

"Can you guys calm down, you're scaring McGucket," Mabel said while McGucket was rocking back and forth.

"Eh, I don't do well in closed spaces," McGucket said. "Especially with people, and a room of raccoons that one time…"

"Everyone just calm down," Powers told them all.

"Why did you guys capture our friends?" Dipper demanded.

"Yes, I demand to know what you're doing to my daughter, and the other children!" Camila shouted.

"Look, we're not so sure what's going on since we're not in charge anymore," Trigger admitted.

"Right now, you're in the facility that belongs to Department A," Powers explained, causing Camila's eyes to widen.

"Department A?!" she exclaimed.

"What is Department A's deal?" Dipper asks.

"Department A is a paramilitary organization with jurisdiction over demons and witches," Powers explained. "They handle things dealing with magic, witchcraft, demonics, and all that sort of stuff."

"What?!" Camila asked in disbelief. "I thought Department A was just an engineering firm with a government contract…"

Powers turned to Camila, narrowing his eyes at her. He was just about to ask her how she knew about Department A when he noticed something else about her. "Wait… why don't you have a shadow?"

Camila looked down, remembering that she didn't have a shadow. "Uh… it came to life and just… flew away?" Camila answered awkwardly.

"Oh, well that makes sense, given all the weirdness we have seen in Gravity Falls," Trigger accepted without question, both agents having bought Camila's story.

"How are you involved in all of this, ma'am?" Powers asked Camila.

"Through my daughter, who I demand to see, right now!"

"Don't worry, we'll get her and the other kids out," Powers reassured her.

"Wait, really?" Dipper asked them. "Even if they're magical?"

"We only gassed everyone in the area so that no one would get hurt, since magic users are unpredictable," Trigger explained. "We have no intention of locking any children up and we're going to try to sort things out."

"Well that's a relief," Stan said with a sigh.

"But then there's you, Mr. Pines," Powers pointed to Stan. "You were the reason we had to gas everyone in the first place. After some investigation, we found evidence of crimes that you have committed over the course of the summer," he said while holding up a digital tablet.

"What?!" Stan exclaimed. "What did I do?! That can't be traced back to me..."

"This security footage of a government waste facility speaks otherwise," Powers said while showing everyone the footage of a person in a haz-mat suit stealing barrels of chemicals from the waste facility. "At a o'four hundred hours last night, someone robbed three hundred gallons of dangerous waste."

"What? You think that's me?!" Stan scoffed.

"Don't play dumb, Mr. Pines, we know it's you," Powers told him.

"But I actually am dumb! I was just restocking the gift shop last night, I swear!" Stan declared.

"Wait! I know Grunkle Stan," Dipper told them. "Sure, he might shoplift the occasional tangerine, but he's not some kind of Captain Planet villain!"

Powers knelt to Dipper and Mabel's eye level. "Listen, kids, we've been watching your family all summer and we've seen some disturbing things. But nothing as dangerous as what your uncle is hiding. Somewhere hidden in his shack is a doomsday device!"

"Okay, doomsday device?" Camila questioned. "Don't you think that's a little over-exaggeration? I mean, he owns a roadside gift shop and could definitely take care of himself more…"

"Hey, I am in good shape at my age," Stan argued.

"Show them the footage from the Shack we've acquired," Trigger whispered to Powers.

"Well I hope this will convince you all," Powers said while tapping on his tablet.

They all saw footage of Mabel, Gus, and Soos dancing to the Bee Gees. "Staying alive, staying alive! Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Staying ALIIIVE-"

"Oh, sorry, wrong footage," Powers said in embarrassment while everyone turned to Mabel.

"What? We were listening on the radio," Mabel said with a nervous laugh as Powers showed them footage of Stan stocking the shelves at around 7pm.

"So what, he really is restocking the shelves," Dipper said before Stan was then shown sneaking out. The footage then fast-forwarded which caused everyone to grow concerned.

"I… was going on a bathroom break…" Stan said until the footage stopped at 5am yesterday, when a man in a hazmat suit wheeled in barrels of dangerous waste into the gift shop. "Oh please, that could be anyone in that hazmat suit, like framing me," Stan said nervously.

On the tape, a barrel fell on his foot and Stan's voice was heard. "AAH! Hot Belgian waffles! Wait, I'm alone. I can swear for real." He took a deep breath. "SON OF A-" Powers turned it off, as Dipper and Mabel's faces were shocked, as was Camila's.

"I… I listen, I-" Stan stammered as he turned to the twins. "Kids, I… I can explain!"

"Stan…" Dipper looked up to his grunkle with a betrayed look.

"It's not… it's not true, is it?" Mabel asked him.

"What could you be wanting with dangerous waste?!" Camila exclaimed.

"This may be a shock to you all, but the evidence speaks for itself," Triggers told them. "However this turns out, Stanford Pines will have to answer for this…"

"Okay, okay, so what if Grunkle Stan stole some dangerous waste, it doesn't mean he leads a nefarious double life…" Mabel said while Stan tried to avoid their gaze.

"Powers, Trigger," spoke Angel through their earpieces. "Report to my main quarters, I wish to speak with you."

Powers nodded after tapping his earpiece. "We're on our way," he said while he turned back to the prisoners. "We're gonna have to finish this up later. Right now, none of you are going anywhere, especially him." He pointed to Stan as he and Trigger walked away from the cell.

While seeing the agents away, Stan turned to the twins. "Look, you gotta trust me on this, kids," he said, while unable to muster up the words. "I can't say much more of things due to our current situation since they are probably listening, but-"

"Please, don't lie to me anymore, Stan," Dipper said while turning away quietly, going to an empty corner to sit.

"Mason…" Stan said while turning to Mabel, who walked over to join her brother. He tried to reach out to them, but then he just sighs as he sat on the cell's seat, lowering his head.

Camila looked to Stan and the twins in concern. She didn't know what to do right now besides hope that her daughter, her friends, and her family would manage to get out. She then heard McGucket muttering to himself while rocking himself in a fetal position.

"M-M-Marribrible… gumfrumpin…" he muttered. "M-Machine in the basement…"

Powers and Trigger found their way to the office of Angel Gates. Once they entered, they looked around the office. Trigger was startled by the trophies.

"My god…" Trigger said while Powers looked just as shocked.

There were the mounted heads of unicorns, minotaurs, manticores, goblins, imps, and succubi, the bones of a mermaid were on display along with its skin on the wall, there was the stuffed body of the Jersey Devil, wings of griffins and pegasi, and the shattered head of a gargoyle. There was a carpet rug made out of a manticore. On the shelves were glass jars containing parts of other magical creatures such as a unicorn horn, ears of an elf, and wings of a sprite.

However, there was one living thing on the desk, inside of a lamp. Looking at the two agents was a golden light pixie with shoulder-length blond hair, blue eyes and fair-skin. She wore a green strapless dress with a miniskirt, and green flats with puffballs. Her bangs on her hair covers only her one eye, as she just gives a sad and scared expression.

In addition to the mounted trophies, there were a bunch of monitors on the walls of the room and a large map of the world with various locations marked. Facing the map was Angel Gates, who was reattaching one of her arms, showing it was artificial.

"Director Gates," Powers spoke of her, noticing her artificial arm.

"Gentlemen, welcome," Angel said as she turned around while connecting her artificial arm back. She noticed them looking at it. "You must be interested in my arm, I see."

"Oh, uh no, we weren't staring!" Trigger said while turning around.

"We did not mean to stare, Director," Powers responded.

"It's fine," Angel reassured them. "I got this when I was fourteen." Her eyes narrowed. "My arm got ripped off by an UMC."

"A UMC?" Powers asked her.

"Unidentified Magical Creature is what we call it," she answered. "It nearly killed me, but thanks to the Gates family, I made a full recovery," she said while looking at her arm, moving her artificial fingers. "And now this arm serves as a daily reminder of the dangers magic poses to humanity, and what happens when the two intersect."

Powers and Trigger looked at each other before turning to Angel. "You called us here to talk to us about something," Powers reminded her.

Angel folded her arms behind her back. "What do you think of Purgatory?" she asked.

"Well, I'll admit that I'm shocked by the scale of the operation you have going on here," Powers said while looking around, a little miffed by the trophies and the monitors showing footage of not just the facility, but of the town as well.

"Is that pixie real?" Trigger asked while pointing to the pixie in the lamp.

"It's real, don't touch it," she told him while disregarding the pixie as a sentient being. "I should remind you that the Archangels are an off-book organization. The government gives us money and doesn't ask how we use it to deal with the kind of problems too weird for serious agents like you, Powers. Of course, we do have other means of funding as well."

"And your facility is right outside of Gravity Falls," Powers noted. "Just how long have you people been here?"

"For far longer than you and Trigger have," she answered.

"Then why didn't you guys just reach out to us sooner?" Trigger questioned.

"We didn't know you would be with us or against us," Angel answered. "I know not everyone takes us seriously, but I can assure you we're not a fringe group like D.H.O.R.K.S. We may not be dealing with mad scientists, supervillains, and brand-recognition terrorist groups like O.W.C.A. and Global Justice… but we're doing real work, very important work." She gestured to the two agents. "And you two can help us do it."

The two agents looked unsure, which Angel noticed as she continued. "How about a little history lesson, to help clear things up some more?"

She walks over to her desk, going to her file cabinet. She pulled out a number of objects including heirlooms, maps, and of course the War on Witchcraft book. She then pulled out a small portrait of Gabriel Gates. "It all started with this man, Gabriel Belmont Gates, founder of the Archangels," she began. " They started out as a group of puritan witch hunters in the 17th century." She saw the questionable looks that the agents gave. "I know what you're thinking, a lot of witch trials sentenced innocent humans who were just thought to be witches… but I can assure you that the witches Gabriel hunted were real."

She held up the book, showing a few pages. "Gabriel and his fellow men were lured into another world by a stranger who wore a human disguise. This stranger promised that this world, called the Boiling Isles, had much to offer them, but really it was a world filled with dangers and horrors unlike anything Gabriel could have imagined. Of the men who were lured to the Boiling Isles, only a few made it back after Gabriel stole the portal from the stranger who tricked him. Upon his return, Gabriel recognized the threat to mankind and dedicated his life to protecting humanity from the evils of that realm. He eventually went back to the Isles to deal with the threat once and for all." Powers and Trigger looked at the pages of the book about witches, demons, Palismen, the Collector, etc. "He never returned and we know that his mission failed, unfortunately. But his organization remained and his descendants continued his life's mission, though at first it was a very small group that didn't get much recognition and legitimacy…"

Trigger noticed one artifact, a piece of stone with mysterious writing. "What's this?"

"Oh, I'm glad this one grabbed your attention," Angel said, grabbing the artifact and looking at it fondly. "I have an entire collection of pieces like this. Tell me, have you two heard about the Atlantis cover-up?"

"I have," Powers confirmed.

"Um… I haven't," Trigger responded.

Angel began to explain. "A few years after World War I, the lost city of Atlantis resurfaced in the Atlantic Ocean. The US government didn't know if the Atlanteans were friends or foes… until they were approached by a woman named Lieutenant Helga Sinclair… my ancestor." This surprised Powers as she pulled out a black-and-white photo of a slender yet athletic woman with fair skin, long blonde hair tied back in a braid, a mole on her left cheek, a white shirt, gray gloves, tight black sweater, and custom-made military pants with high-heel boots. "This photo was taken in 1914, when Helga was the second-in-command of an expedition to find Atlantis. The expedition consisted of two hundred men and women. Of those two hundred only six returned."

She held up another black-and-white photo of the six survivors. "Only later was it learned that my ancestor was the seventh survivor, taken prisoner by the Atlanteans until she was able to escape and warn the United States government, telling them horror stories of what the Atlanteans had done to the rest of her team. The weapons they would unleash on the unsuspecting when given the chance. She knew from experience that the Atlanteans could not be trusted and they had to be ready to retaliate. After a brief conflict, Atlantis returned beneath the waves and hasn't been seen since. So the United States covered up the incident to ensure that Atlantis remained a myth and Helga Sinclair was honored as a hero. Eventually, she met the Gates family and convinced the US government to take the Archangels seriously, giving our organization legitimacy. Since then, the Sinclairs and the Gates have worked closely together."

"What about the other survivors?" Trigger asked.

"Vincenzo Santorini, Dr. Joshua Strongbear Sweet, Audrey Rocio Ramirez, Wilhelmina Bertha Packard, Gaetan Molière, Jebidiah Allardyce Farnsworth… and not pictured here is Milo James Thatch, seven traitors that sided with the Atlanteans. They claimed they didn't find anything, but it was Helga who exposed them as being secretly in league with the Atlanteans in secret, having killed the rest of the expedition in return for treasure. Their ultimate fates are unfortunately unknown, since they disappeared after their treachery was exposed."

She then held up a dragon-skull mask. "Since then, we've made other allies that believe in the same cause. During the seventies, we began working with the magical creature hunters known as the Huntsclan. We traded information, goods, and services with them, upgrading their entire operation. Then in the eighties, we began working with the Blind Eye Society, a secret society in Gravity Falls that had access to mind-erasing technology. We gave them funding in exchange for them aiding the Archangels by being our eyes and ears in Gravity Falls. The Blind Eye Society protected the people of Gravity Falls by keeping them ignorant of the supernatural going ons around them, which was admirable. However, while it was good for the short term, it was not good for the long term since the magical creatures still posed a threat. Then in the nineties, my husband, Joseph Gates, died in a fire that destroyed our main facility in Gatesfield, Connecticut, which led to me succeeding him as director."

"The Archangels had greater ambitions beyond keeping the larger populace ignorant, as did I… but we eventually learned that we could not directly confront the magical community head-on when the Huntsclan was completely wiped out." She put the mask away. "After that, the Archangels have decided to keep our heads low and not attract any unnecessary attention. Content to just monitor the magical community while not taking too many risks. Eventually, we concentrated our efforts on Gravity Falls, which we learned was a weirdness magnet. To better study the strange phenomenon, we hollowed out a mountain some miles outside of town."

She then pulled up a file, placing it on the desk. "And while we were monitoring this little town, a witch and her daughter came to our attention." The file contained photos of Eda and Luz. "But we didn't want to risk engagement until we knew we were ready… which brings us to now." She turned to the lamp, rubbing on it which scared the pixie inside, who looked like she was having a panic attack.

Trigger looked at the pixie, he couldn't help but felt uneasy about it. Angel then turned to the men.

"So… would you like me to give you the tour?"

Back in the cells, a lot of screams and shouts were heard as Sylvia asked Wander. "What's all of that noise?"

"I think it's from the new neighbors, Sylvia," Wander replied as he tried to listen. "It sounded like they're arguing with someone."

In fact, he was right. Luz, Amity, Gus, King, Eda, and Lilith were all lashing out against Jenny Porter, who just backed away to the corner of her own cell.

"So after years of going missing, this is where you've been?!" Eda cried out in shock. "You fucking bitch deserve to be sent to the Conformatorium after what you did!"

"She's right," Lilith snarled at Jenny. "The Emperor's Coven issued a warrant for your arrest after they learned of your use of those love potions. And they were absolutely right in this case!"

"How dare you abandon Gus!" Luz called Jenny out. "He was seven!"

"You don't deserve to be called a mother," Amity growled in anger at Jenny. "I know bad mothers and you're top billing!"

"Yeah, when we get out of here, I say we sent her to the Emperor's Coven tarred and feathered!" King declared.

"Yeah! She deserves to be hexed!" Eve shouted after hearing what Jenny did.

"Or drained from her magic!" Vee suggested after hearing what Jenny did.

Gus glared at his mother as he gave her a piece of his mind. "You hurt not just me, but dad as well. You didn't really love him and you certainly didn't love me. What do you have to say to yourself?!"

Jenny looked at them. "I guess… sorry?"

"Is that what you have to say to yourself? Sorry?" Eda scoffed. "After the hurt you gave Perry and Gus for years? The moment you left them, you've lost the right to be that boy's mother."

"And what are you, his stepmom now?" Jenny scoffed at Eda.

"Wait, how the fuck did you even end up in the human world?" Luz demanded to know. "Cause there's no way you could've used the portal door when we had it."

Jenny looked at the witches that glared at her. "Fine, guess I'll just tell you. When what I was doing was brought into the light, I knew I couldn't stay in the Isles. I hid out until I came across a mysterious shop owned by a vampire named Vanz. I found out that he had inter-dimensional scissors that could create a portal to another realm."

This caused Lilith's eyes to widen. "You… you took those scissors?!"

"Yeah, what choice did I have?" Jenny asked. "I asked if I could buy them but Vanz refused. So I stole them and used them to travel to other realms before I got stuck in the human realm when the scissors stopped working for whatever reason. I had to steal to get by until I was caught and brought here."

"Stopped working? But… why?" Lilith asked.

"Those scissors, I'm familiar with them," Star spoke up. "They're tied to their forger, Hekapoo. She was on Mewni when it was destroyed, which means the scissors would have lost their connection to her. Rendering them useless."

"Oh god, can you please shut up already?!" Michael asked as he made his entrance with some guards. "I can't stand all of this nagging and yelling going on! This prison used to be a lot more quiet before you witches came in." He paused, looking into Vee's cell. Her eyes widened in fear, recognizing him. "Say… do I know you?" he asked playfull, while Vee looked at him in a panic. "Oh, now I remember! You're that monster who posed as some orphan girl living with those cops!"

"Where's Blubs and Durland?!" Vee demanded to know.

"Blubs? Durland? What kind of names are those?" Michael asked the guards. He shook his head. "Doesn't matter. Anyway, good news! You've been picked to meet the good doctor! He can't wait to see what kind of creature you are…" He turned to the guards. "Take her away, boys."

The guards went to open Vee's cell. "No….nononono LEAVE ME ALONE!" Vee screamed as the guards went to take her away. She tried to resist, but they kept tasing her, triggering her PTSD as she screamed.

"Stop it!/Leave her alone!" Luz and Amity shouted.

"Stay away from Vee, you bastards!" Star shouted.

"Leave her alone! You're hurting her!" Gus shouted at him while Michael turned to him.

Michael's eyes widened. "Oh snap! I recognized you!" He pointed to Gus. "Back in Vegas…"

"I have never seen you before…" Gus said while backing away as Michael walked up to his cell.

"Oh, I saw you on the cameras," Michael pointed out. "After we got confirmation of a witch sighting in Vegas, D.G. sent me here to find you. Only lead I could find was that you were seen with some blue haired call girl with a bow." He sighed. "That poor chica… if only she had cooperated. Then she might still be alive."

Gus gasped. "No… no, not Vaggie?"

"Vaggie? That's her name?!" Michael laughed mockingly. "What dipshit parents named their daughter Vaggie? Or is that what she calls herself when having a good time."

Gus suddenly snapped. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" he screamed, banging on the front of his cell while Michael just laughed.

"Oh you are too adorable!" Michael shouted. "Maybe I'll ask Gates to let you live so I can have some fun with you…"

"Leave him alone!" Luz shouted to him, causing Michael to turn to her.

"How about you shut up instead!" Michael shot back. "Don't forget who is in control here!" He turned back to Gus and smirked at him while the boy glared at Michael. He then turned to the guards. "Is she ready to meet the doctor yet?"

"We tranquilized her, sir," the guard said.

Michael nodded. "Just take her away, we're done here."

As the guards left with Vee, Michael was about to leave but Gus spoke up. "Wait… there's no way… Vaggie was…"

"Smiley face." Michael showed Gus a cellphone, one that belonged to Vaggie. "All you need is a phone to keep up the illusion that she's alive… that old magician was just too easy to fool."

Michael then walked out, leaving Gus with a shocked look. For the first time since the Glandus War, Gus was shaken to the core…

Back in Gravity Falls, the Archangels were occupying the police station. Blubs and Durland were being interrogated by three Archangels agents.

"Okay, thank you two for being cooperative," said an Archangel agent who looked middle-aged and was bald. He was known as Abraham. "It makes our job much easier."

"Just as long as you answer our questions," Blubs responded as he and Durland were looking at the agents sternly.

"Yes, like where's Vee?!" Durland stood up, while Blubs calmed him down.

"Easy, Durland," Blubs told him.

"Vee… you mean that creature that Michael got?" asked another agent, a young woman of Asian descent with long, chestnut hair. She was known as Naomi.

"Yes, where have you taken here?" Blubs asked.

"That's classified," spoke a dark-skinned agent with round glasses. He was known as Solomon "Though I am surprised that you two seem so concerned about a magical creature that lied to you and tricked its way into your home by pretending to be human."

The two cops looked at each other, then at the agents. "Well… it's not like she wanted to deceive us or anything, she probably just felt like she had no choice," Durland explained..

"Really?" Naomi questioned. "You're not even miffed about it?"

"It was definitely a shock, but I do think she may have had good reason to not tell us what she really was," Blubs confirmed.

"And what good is this reason to lie?" Solomon asked.

"Fear," Blubs said. "She may have been scared to be honest with us about herself. And at the end of the day she's just a scared kid, so of course she would be afraid to tell us."

"And she's probably scared now!" Durland said while looking at the agents. "Please, tell us where Vee is? Is she at least alright?!"

"Can we at least see her?!" Blubs asked.

"Absolutely not," Abraham told them. "We can't take you to it or tell you where it is being kept. It is now property of the Archangels."

"You're better off," Solomon said matter-of-factly. "Magical creatures like her are dangerous and unpredictable."

"Then I guess we're done here," Blubs said as he and Durland got up. "Come on, Durland," he said as the two were about to exit, but then Solomon and Naomi stepped in front of the,. "Hey, what are you-"

Naomi instantly hit her palm against Blub's head, then turned him over and pinned him to the floor. Durland screamed while Solomon grabbed his arms and forced him on his knees.

"That won't be possible," Solomon said while restraining Durland.

"We were ordered to not let you two go until told otherwise," Naomi said while keeping Blubs restrained as well.

"What?! You can't do that to us!" Blubs told them while trying to get up, but Naomi stepped on his arm. "AAH!"

"Sorry, sheriff," Naomi said with a smile. "But no one gets past the Archangels."

"Though you two seem a bit too chummy with each other for a sheriff and his deputy," Abraham commented. "You are acting like you're that creature's parents or something."

"Could explain why they couldn't have children of their own," Naomi muttered out loud, which irked the two cops. "Oh, did I make the lost Village People mad?"

Outside the Mystery Shack, Powers and Trigger's men were standing guard.

"Is it a rock, or is it a face?" one guard asked while looking at the Rock That Looks Like A Face Rock.

"Or maybe… it's a metaphor," the other guard replied.

Fazio was walking up to the Shack, seeing that it was surrounded by guards. "Excuse me, but is the Mystery Shack… open?"

"Sorry, but no visitors," a guard said.

"Oh, I was just here to check on Gus," Fazio explained. "Um… where is he?"

"Who even are you?" the other guard asked.

"Why I'm the Great, Fabulous Fazio!" Fazio introduced himself while holding up his wand. "Say, are you guys into magic?"

"Move along, sir," the first guard said but his partner cut in.

"Actually, let's see what this guy can do," he suggested. "We could use some entertainment."

Fazio waved his wand. "Alaka-plee, alaca-plook, frezno, blemzo, chango!"

Suddenly a smoke bomb was thrown over him which burst into a cloud of red smoke, causing the guards and Fazio to start coughing.

"Geez-louise, what smells like sour apples?!" Fazio coughed while he couldn't see through the smoke. A red blur went past him as the two guards were dragged into the cloud of smoke.

The cries and grunts of the guards could be heard. Several more were wrapped in vines and dragged to who knows where through the smoke.

"What in Copperfield's going on around here?" Fazio asked while he still couldn't see.

One guard who was inside the Shack saw the smoke outside and he held up his radio. "This is Squad A, reporting-AAH"! He was suddenly jumped by Ghost who keeps scratching his masked face, causing him to fall. He then looked up at Acorn, who was struggling to hold a mallet. "What the-"

BONK!

"Alright, we got one!" Acorn declared after knocking the guy out.

"Where'd you even get that mallet?" Ghost questioned the pixie as suddenly Ghost levitated up a bit. "What the… again?!"

"Hey, it wasn't me this time!" Acorn swore.

Back at the police station, Naomi and Solomon started floating away from Blubs and Durland.

"What's happening?!" Abraham asked as he started to float.

"It must be… a gravity anomaly!" Solomon responded.

Blubs and Durland, now freed, attempted to rush for the exit. But they started to float as well.

"Whoa-whoa!" Durland cried while floating up. "What's going on, Blubs?"

"Don't know, it seems like the world's got a hiccup or something!" Blubs replied while pushing himself off the wall, colliding with Solomon. Durland did a spin, hitting both Naomi and Abraham.

At the center of town, the people along with cars and objects start to float up off the ground, and then suddenly fall back down.

"Is it just me, or did the entire world just hiccup?" Tyler Cutebiker asked Lazy Susan.

"I'm sure it's just a baby-sized earthquake," Lazy Susan suggested.

"Aw, baby-sized!"

Wendy, who was home, was on a call with Soos. "Soos, where are you right now?"

"I'm currently at the Yumberjacks," Soos responded. "What happened.?"

"I was on my way to the Shack, but it was surrounded by these government types. I have been trying to call the Pines family, but no luck. Have you heard from them?"

"No, I haven't," Soos replied, sounding just as concerned as Wendy.

Wendy felt herself being lifted up in the air again before being forced back down. "What was that?!"

"An earthquake, maybe?" Soos suggested over the phone.

Wendy wasn't convinced. "Soos… I don't think that was an earthquake..."

After another gravitational anomaly, the two officers manage to fight against the Archangels. Blubs spun around while floating as he hit Abraham in the stomach. Durland dodged Naomi's kick as he kicked her back with his knee.

Solomon brought out a baton. "I've got no time for this tomfoolery!" he shouted while targeting Blubs as Durland went to bite his arm. "AAAH!" He screamed while Durland punched him in the face.

Naomi snarled as she floated towards them, pulling a hidden knife from her sleeve. But then the gravitational anomaly forced her down, causing her to drop the knife as it landed on her thigh. "AAAAAH! FUCK!" she screams while it stabbed her through.

Blubs and Durland ended up body slamming Abraham, knocking him out cold.

"Did we beat 'em?" Durland asked Blubs.

"We sure did, Deputy!" Blubs replied while seeing Naomi wincing in pain as she tried to pull the knife out.

"Shit!" she cried out, only to be grabbed by the collar and slammed to the wall by Durland. "Ah! Watch it! My leg's bleeding!"

"We'll let you treat that if you answer our questions," Durland told her.

"Or else it'll get worse," Blubs said while holding his stick. "Tell us where Vee is..."

Back at Purgatory, Angel brought Powers and Trigger to an observation room overlooking a larger room where the portal door was being set up by hazmat-suited workers.

"What is this, Director?" Powers asked her.

"What we've been waiting years for," Angel responded, while turning to a scientist. "How's the set up going, Dr. Frakes?"

"Terrific, Director!" Dr. Frakes responded. "We are ready for a test!"

Angel turned to Powers. "Before we got our hands on the portal key, we were trying unsuccessfully to create our own inter-dimensional portal, with Dr. Frakes here in charge of the project. We were never able to make a portal big enough to send a person through, but now that we have the portal that the witches used, that is no longer an issue." She turned to Frakes. "Would you show these men how the door works?"

"Of course, Director!" Dr. Frakes replied while turning to her workers. "It's time to open the door!"

The workers had set up their volunteer in the hazmat suit with a rope around their waist. The volunteer had a camera installed on their suit, with the video feed being sent directly to where Angel, Powers, Trigger, and Frakes were. The volunteer held up the key as they inserted it into a lock. Once they turned the key, the portal door opened with a bright flash of light.

"Leave the key," Frakes reminded the volunteer before they entered through the door, venturing into a new world.

Angel showed the agents the footage being recorded from the suit's camera, which depicted the Boiling Isles. "What is this…?" Powers asked.

"It looks like something straight from a Russian surrealist painting," Trigger noted.

"This is where these witches we've caught are from," Angel revealed as the hazmat suited volunteer looked around the area. "Can you hear us?" she asked through a communicator.

"Confirmed, Director," spoke the volunteer. "Whoa… this place… it's so… bizarre."

"What do you see in there?" Frakes asked.

"The trees are red, the grass is orange," the volunteer replied. "I see a griffin flying by spitting out spiders… wait." They saw something off-camera, causing them to scream and run. "AAAHHH!" The camera was knocked out, followed by static.

"Pull him out!" Frakes ordered as the workers pulled the rope back out of the door, but as they managed to get to the end of the rope, they found the volunteer no longer attached. The rope had been cut… or perhaps bitten through.

"My god…" Powers said in shock.

"Now you see what we're dealing with," Angel explained. "There are other dimensions like this that pose a threat to our own. Especially since these dimensions have been leaking into our own." She gave a glare at the door. "The only way to end the threat is to stop the leaks."

Powers and Trigger looked to each other in concern. But before they could say anything, they heard an alarm.

"Director Gates!" Frakes spoke to her superior, looking at her watch with a small satellite. "It's the same strange anomaly readings!"

"We need to go check them out," Angel said as she led them out to the control room, where the Archangels monitored the ongoing anomalies. "Status report."

"Those anomalies are occurring in Gravity Falls," one Archangel explained. "It seems to be gravitational in nature. And they are getting stronger. Soon they could reach a dangerous level."

"Sir, do you think whatever Stanford Pines built is causing this?" Trigger asked his partner.

"We may have to go ask the man himself about that," Powers replied as the two were about to walk out but Powers stopped himself. "One more thing, Director Gates. What do you plan to do with the kids you have locked up here?"

Angel turns to the agents. "They're not going anywhere, especially those witchlings. They're staying here in Purgatory where they belong."

Powers and Trigger looked at her in disbelief. "But ma'am, those are just kids!" Powers pointed out.

"I said they're not going anywhere!" she argued, while giving a glare. "Besides… they're not humans. These evil beings may look close enough, but that is part of the deception."

"But… you can't just lock up innocent kids…" Trigger said while Angel leaned close to the agents.

"They are not innocent," Angel told them off. "They pose a threat to our world and I'll do anything to make sure that-" She paused, noticing something out of the corner of her eye. It was a shadow without a person attached to it. The shadow darted away, but it was too late. Angel had already seen it. "That shadow… we're now dealing with a Fae!"

"A Fae?" Trigger asked.

"A Faeiry," she said while turning away from the agents. "Everyone, we've been breached!"

As she went to deal with the situation, Powers and Trigger shared a look.

In another room, Vee started to groan as she woke up to find herself strapped to a table. When she became fully awake, she looked around at her surroundings… and gasped in horror.

She was in what appeared to be a lab… full of dissected bodies. Bodies of either elves, demons, and many other magical creatures were left hanging or placed on the walls. Body parts were on display, organs placed in shelves. Around her were abominations that were watching her. But they were not like the Boiling Isles' abominations… they were made out of body parts. Heads connecting to one another, chimeras of body parts stitched together. Eyeballs hang over the ceiling as there was also a body of a goblin that was turned inside out. Jars filled with shrunken heads and the brains of creatures, each with their own labels.

Vee was starting to have a panic attack as she struggled with her bonds. "Get me out! Get me out! Luz! Star! HELP!" she cried out while trying to shapeshift, but she couldn't. "Why can't I shapeshift?!"

"Must be the sedatives taking effect," said a voice.

Vee turned and saw Victor coming from the shadows. "Mind the poor lighting here," he said while Vee looked at the man with fear.

"W-Who are you…?" Vee asked in fear.

"So it is true, you do have a good understanding of English," Victor said while observing Vee. "As for me, I have been known by many names over the years. When I was recruited by the Archangels, I was known as Herbert West. But you can call me Victor." He clapped his hands, looking very eager. "I have been so very eager to be given a chance to have you on my slab… I have never seen a creature like you before. Well, you're not the first shapeshifter I've seen." He went over to a tray of tools. "I really love taking them apart the most..."

Meanwhile with the Pines, Camila, and McGucket, the latter was just shivering in fear while Dipper was still giving Stan the silent treatment as Mabel comforted him. Nobody had said a word since Powers and Trigger had left. Camila looked around at everyone in the cell, trying not to think of what horrible things could be happening to her daughter, her friends, and her family. Her gaze fell on the twins and she was hit by the realization that she was never properly introduced to them. So she took a deep breath as she stood up.

"Okay," she spoke up, earning their attention. "I don't know about any of you, but I'm sick of the silence. So… let's just break the ice around here." She turned to the twins as she cleared her throat. "Despite the circumstances, it is nice to finally meet Luz's step-siblings. My name is Camila Noceda, I am her birth mother… and until recently I was dead."

It was Mabel who replied. "It's nice to finally meet you, Mrs. Noceda."

"Yeah," Dipper managed to say. "Amity and Gus have already filled us in about you. My name is Mason Pines, but most of my friends call me Dipper because of my birthmark." He pointed to his forehead.

"And I'm Mabel Pines, his long-lost twin sister," Mabel introduced herself.

"I bet you've all had interesting adventures with Luz," Camila suggested.

"She once helped me with a monster in my closet problem," Dipper explained.

"And we fought monster clowns and once raided a gnome village together!" Mabel said, perking up slightly. "But Mrs. Noceda, if you don't mind me asking… what's it like being brought back to life and all?"

Camila sighed. "Well, according to what I've been told, apparently this loa known as Baron Samedi brought me back to life using the shadow of a Fae and my glasses… of course, I don't like to think about how I'm just some living shadow-" Her eyes widened in realization. "Wait a minute…"

She walks over to the front of the cell. Taking a deep breath, she raised her hand toward the barrier. Dipper, Mabel, Stan and McGucket watched her as she concentrated. When Camila takes a step forward, it felt like the barrier didn't even touch her. In fact, it went through her. She eventually ended up on the other side.

Opening her eyes, she saw that she was out of the cell. "I did it… I can phase through!" she cheered for herself… until she saw the camera watching her. "Shit!"

And then the alarm blared.

Powers and Trigger found the break room where they could get some privacy.

"So… this place… what do you think of it?" Trigger asked.

"Well, it appears to be clean," Powers responded, looking around at all the white. "Like a whole lot of spic and span."

"And that Angel, she's… something, isn't she?" Trigger asked.

"To be honest, Trigger, that woman is very, very morally questionable," Powers replied.

"Thank you!" Trigger told his partner. "Like, this whole thing… how the hell was this approved?! I don't think I'm comfortable with her and this organization!"

"The feeling's mutual," Powers nodded with a serious look. "My father did not fight for this country to be like the Nazis, and everything around here stinks of fascism. We can't let her hurt those kids, Trigger."

"Yeah, like what exactly did the magical community do to us to warrant this?" Trigger questioned. "And that poor pixie… I don't know if this counts as a human rights violation for magical creatures, but the look on her face…" Trigger looked sympathetic while thinking of the pixie. "We gotta do something about this."

"I agree, Trigger." Powers nodded. "But first, we need to deal with the current crisis involving the doomsday device that Stanford built. After that, we can report the Archangels and have their operation investigated and shut down."

"Looks like we got our hands filled around here," Trigger responded as they then heard the sound of the alarm.

"Prisoner escape! I repeat, prisoner escape!"

"Prisoner escape?" Trigger asked in confusion, looking to Powers.

"Looks like they're going to be busy as well," Powers said.

The two went to exit the break room, but Powers found it locked. "We're locked in!" It was then that out of the vents came purple gas. The two started to cough while the gas spread around the room. "This is…"

"We need… to call…" Trigger knelt down while the two agents started to feel drowsy. But before they could pass out, they heard a familiar woman's voice in their earpieces.

"With us… or against us."

"You don't think Randall actually escaped, did he?!"

"It's coming from where the Pines family are being kept."

"Let's move!"

The guards marched over to where they spotted Camila out of her cell. They held their batons ready. "How did you get out?!"

"I just…" Camila looked at the Pines and McGucket before turning to the guards. "… went through?"

"Get her!" The guards ran up to Camila, who didn't look scared. Instead, she stood her ground facing them. One launched his baton at her, which she dodged while kneeing him in the stomach, grabbing his baton and tasing him with it. She then looked at the guards, who were holding their batons in preparation. She held hers to the side while glaring at them.

The guards charged at her, while she held the baton to swing it at one by the feet, tripping him. She then hit another by the head, knocking him out. Their weapons were of no effect on her due to her phasing through them. She tased another one while pushing him to the other guards.

"Alright, get her, Camila!" Dipper cheered.

"Yeah, kick their asses!" Stan cheered.

"Oy, don't curse in front of the children, Mr. Pines!" Camila pointed to him, while another guard swung his weapon at him but it just phased through. "And you." She punched the guard down. "That's no way to treat people, no matter what species they are!"

Few more guards charged at her while she swung her baton at them. She clashes one with their own baton and knocked him out. Another clashed his baton with hers while she kicked him to the wall. She turned to one guard who stood in front of a door while looking at her in fear.

He turned around to knock on the door. "Help! Get me out out! Get me out!" he cried as he was then tased by her baton. "YAAHAHAAA!" he cried as he was knocked out.

Camila looked at him in confusion. "It says pull," she said, indicating the door while noticing an access card on him.

She grabbed the card, walked over to the cell and used it to release the Pines and McGucket.

"Yep, you are definitely Luz's mother," Mabel decided.

Back at the cells, Amity recognized a shadow moving outside her cell. "Sam!" she whispered. "You're here!"

"I was doing recon," Sam confirmed. "There are at least over two hundred prisoners being kept here and this place is huge, above and underground. But I know where they're keeping the Pines family, Camila, and McGucket, and I know where they've taken Vee… we need to save them!"

"Then we can't waste time, find something to free us with," Amity told her shadow.

"I was seen by that Director," Sam admitted. "But I'll make sure I won't be seen again." She then slithered away.

"Amity, who were you talking to?" Eda asked.

"My shadow," Amity confirmed, surprising Eda. "Long story."

Soon Sam came back, holding an access card and using it to free Amity, Luz, Gus, Eve, Eda, Lilith, Star, and King.

"Everyone alright?" Luz asked as she left her cell.

"Wait, what about me?!" Jenny cried out at them.

"What about you?" Amity snarked at her.

"Alright, we need to move quickly," Eda decided. "Luz, King and I will go get Camila, the Pines, and McGucket."

Luz nodded, turning to Lilith. "Aunt Lilith and Star should go get Vee.."

"Leaving the rest of us to retrieve the portal door," Amity said. "Sam can tell us where to go, and then we split."

Everyone nodded before moving on. Jenny tried to call out to her son. "Gus, wait! Please, don't leave your mother!" But Gus and the others just ignored her. "GUS!" Jenny hollered while banging on the see-through barrier.

Outside of Purgatory at the entrance, a police car drove towards the gate. But the car was pulled over by Archangels agents.

"Sorry, but you can't come any further," said a guard as Blubs and Durland came out.

"What's your business here?" another asked.

"We're here because we heard about a disturbance," Blubs replied.

"Yeah, we hear it's very disturbing," Durland added.

Hidden in the woods was a sniper with his rifle aimed at Blubs and Durland. He saw an agent giving him a nod. "Alright, time for another 'bear attack'," the sniper chuckled, so focused on the cops that he didn't notice red talons landing behind him...

"I can assure you that nothing's going on around here," spoke the Archangel guard, not noticing his companions behind him getting grabbed by vines and a scarf. "But you are trespassing," he added while his companions were stealthily taken out. He looked up behind the cops, giving the nod to where the sniper should be. "Now why don't you just stand here…"

He then heard a yell and the agent looked up to see that something had flown the sniper up in the air before dropping him on the police car, causing him to crash onto the roof.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" The Archangel backed away while freaking out, holding his gun in the air. "Who's there?!" He looked around, noticing that his companions were gone before he saw something behind him. "YAAAH!" he screamed as he started shooting.

Camila, the Pines, and McGucket ran down several corridors, trying to find their way.

"How are we going to find Luz and the others?" Camila asked.

"There's gotta be a control room or a map around here somewhere," Dipper suggested.

"Of all the times I didn't have my grappling hook!" Mabel complained, still in her dress from the party last night.

"We gotta be discreet about this, there are definitely more of those guys in white around," Stan added.

"Gagzooksadribble!" McGucket pointed up in front, where their way was being blocked by Archangels. They turned around, only to see guards there as well.

"Alright, kids, get behind me," Stan said while raising his fists, until he heard the twins scream behind him. "Kids?!"

"Not another move," Angel said as she walked up, having the guards hold the twins in place. "Unless you want these kids' blood in your hands, Mr. Pines," she said while holding her gun at them.

"Stan, stop her!" Dipper shouted.

"I just got a girlfriend!" Mabel admitted in panic.

"Threatening my kids? Lady, you have a lot of nerve!" Stan shouted, only for Angel to aim her gun at Mabel.

"Not… another… step." Angel threatened, causing Stan and Camila to stand down.

"Wait, stop!" Camila told her, raising her hands up while dropping her baton. "Look, this isn't necessary. You can't harm these children!"

Angel turned to glare at Camila. "You've shown your true nature, Camila," she said with a look of disgust. "You're supposed to be dead, and yet, here you are. A literal shadow of your former self… you're no longer human like the rest of us, just like your daughter is a monster wearing the skin of a human… a freak."

Camila glared at her, "The only monster I see here is you. What are you trying to accomplish by threatening children?" Camila asked.

"We at Department A will do anything to keep humanity safe from the threats of magic and the abnormal," Angel explained while Camila got a good look at her. "What?"

"You look… familiar…" Camila noted. "Like… I've seen you somewhere before…"

"You have," Angel replied while walking slowly towards Camila, keeping her gun aimed at the twins. "We have met before… at my husband's funeral."

Camila's eyes widened as she started backing away. "No… you're… Joseph's widow!"

"Yes," she confirmed. "I know a good deal about you, Camila. You were friends with my poor, pitiful sister-in-law, Abigail, who you made the godmother of your daughter… oh how she'll react when she sees that you and Luz were turned into these god-forsaken abominations." She then turned to Stan. "But… this isn't about Mrs. Noceda here, my interest is you, Mr. Pines."

Stan looked nervous. "What could you be interested in me about, lady?"

Angel then started to explain. "While Powers and Trigger don't seem to know who they're really dealing with, I've done my research on the great Stanford Pines. For example, Stanford Pines graduated from Backupsmore University, and I've found out that he's not the only one in Gravity Falls who graduated from Backupsmore." She turned to McGucket. "Tell me Fiddleford, don't you recognize your old classmate?"

"My what…?" McGucket asked in confusion, while Dipper and Mabel were shocked..

"Classmates?!" the twins exclaimed.

"How weird it is that two classmates somehow ended up in the same small town in the middle of nowhere?" Angel asked. "But that's not the only thing that's strange. What's also strange is that during his time in Backupsmore University, he got into the doctoral program three years ahead of schedule, was nationally ranked, and even won a grand award for his research," she pointed out, leaving the twins confused while Stan was sweating nervously. Camila looked at Stan in confusion. "Yet, in Gravity Falls, Stanford runs a tourist trap and has a reputation amongst the locals as a con man, which doesn't sound like the Stanford that graduated from Backupsmore." She gave Stan a smirk, making him more nervous. "But there is someone that sounds more like… someone whose name is on the license plate on your car… Stanley."

This caused Dipper and Mabel to look at Stan in shock.

"Stanley…?" Dipper asked while looking at Stan. "You're Stanley?"

"I… meant to tell you, Dipper-"

"I'm not finished," Angel quieted Stan as she continued. "Where was I? Oh yes, Stanley Pines… you were disowned by your family and became a con man. You were banned from thirty-two states, forced to take on a number of fake identities, served years in a Colombian prison, and eventually ended up in debt to some shady characters until you 'died' in a car crash. But around the same time, the Mystery Shack, then known as the Murder Hut, opened for business. Which sounds like the kind of scheme Stanley Pines would pull… because Stanford is Stanley, who stole his twin brother's identity and life." She pointed to Stan accusingly. "You murdered your own brother, didn't you?"

"No! You got it wrong!" Stan denied. "I would never kill him!" He turned to the twins, who looked shocked by all of this. "Sure, I committed llamacide, but I'd never kill a member of my own family!"

Angel then grabbed Dipper, aiming her gun at him and causing his eyes to go wide with fear. "Tell the truth, Stanley… or your nephew dies."

"Stop! I'll tell you everything, leave Mason alone!" Stan shouted while looking worried for Dipper.

"Then tell me what you have been doing in the Shack all these years!" she demanded. "What is causing those gravitational anomalies? Is there really a doomsday device? Or is it something else?"

"No, there is no doomsday device!" Stan told her. "It's a portal! A portal my brother built as a gateway to another dimension or something! But he ended up trapped there after… after I activated it," he admitted while looking at the shocked Dipper. Mabel gasped at this, while Camila looked shocked. "I wanted to bring him back, but I couldn't get the machine to work without all three journals and he only gave me one."

"Wait, journals?!" Dipper exclaimed despite having a gun pointed at him. "Your brother wrote the journals?!"

Stan nodded. "Gideon had the second journal while the twins found the third. With them I was able to get the portal working after thirty years. I didn't mean for all of this to happen, I… I just wanted my brother back." His voice cracked as he looked at Dipper. "I'm sorry for lying to you, Mason."

"Stan…" Dipper said with a saddened look while Angel took her gun away from him as she let him go.

"Touching," Angel said as she brought something out from her sleeve, a knife. Camila immediately noticed this, thinking Angel was about to stab Dipper.

"No!" Camila cried out as she rushed forward, only for Angel to turn and stab her instead. "AAH!" she cried in pain, feeling the iron knife on her shoulder.

"Camila/No-shadow lady!" Dipper, Mabel Stan, and McGucket cried out in shock.

"Hurts, doesn't it?" Angel asked while digging the knife into Camila. "Iron is such a good tool to slay beings like you."

"P-please… stop…" Camila cried in pain.

"I'll stop… after I put you back to rest…" Angel said with a sadistic grin.

"STOP!"

Angel and Camila turned along with the twins, Stan, and McGucket as they saw guards being shoved aside by a soundwave. The rest of the guards were knocked away as Angel was also hit by the soundwave, knocking her away from Camila. The twins were freed and they went up to Stan as they saw who had caused the soundwave.

It was King, and behind him were Luz and Eda.

"Mami! Dipper! Mabel!" Luz cried out as she rushed over.

"Are you guys alright?" Eda flew over to protect the Pines and McGucket while Luz and King went to check on Camila.

"We're fine," Mabel said as she hugged Eda while in tears. She turned to Camila. "But Camila…"

Eda turned to see Camila with the knife in her. "She… she stabbed me and… I thought I could phase it through," Camila said while wincing when she pulled it out of her.

"Was it Angel?" Eda asked while looking to see Angel had slipped away.

"Freeze!" some guards shouted as they held their weapons up.

"Luz, think you can take them out of here?" Eda asked as she spread her wings out.

"I'll protect them," Luz replied, her hands summoning light and fire.

Eda nodded to her daughter as she went in the direction Angel had gone. The guards went to attack the group, but Luz flashed them with her light spell while shooting flames from her fingers to burn some of the guards.

Stan, ready to protect his family, went up to punch a guard away from them. Another guard tried to get the drop on Stan, but that guard was knocked over by McGucket using a baton he picked up.

"Now this is an old fashion showdown, I reckon!" McGucket shouted as he jumped on top of one guard to beat him on the head, then he humped on another to kick him into the wall.

Luz went into her Maya mode, her wings punching the guards that attempted to attack the twins and Camila. King jumped on top of one guard and scratched his face. Another tried to catch King but he jumped on him and other guards as well, clawing at their faces. He then screamed and one guard, causing him to roll over and crash into ten more guards like bowling pins. King landed on top of Luz's shoulder as she flew over to topple more guards while King screamed at the other guards from behind using his sonic screech.

Vee continued to struggle while Victor brought out a knife.

"Now then, where to start?" He turned around, drawing closer to Vee. "How about with your eyes?"

Vee screamed, as suddenly a blast through the wall interrupted Victor's procedure, causing him to drop his knife. He turned around to see Star and Lilith crashing into his lab.

"Leave her alone, you son of a bitch!" Star held her hand up as it glowed.

"Attack!" Victor ordered his monstrosities, who went forward to attack the two.

Star blasted one monstrosity while Lilith transformed into her harpy form, now having mostly red and dark mane hair with a white streak. She punched one while another charged with electricity tried to electrocute her. But Lilith turned around and punched her fist through the monster, making a hole. "That didn't even tickle," she said while her hand blasted an electric shock at a couple of more of the abominations.

"Didn't know you shoot lightning," Star said while blasting more of the monsters out of the way.

"I almost forgot I did!" Lilith said as her whole harpy body started charging up electricity and her wings sliced through the monstrosities. "Whoa, did I just… run through them?"

"And sliced them," Star pointed out as one gruesome abomination walked up from behind, only for Star to kick it away from her as she blasted a hole to the face. She and Lilith were back to back, Lilith shooting out electricity from her hands while Star shot out her magic beams at the monstrosities.

Organs, bones and intestines were flying around the room. The two made sure to not hit Vee as the basilisk watched them. One monster with heads for hands tried to bite at Lilith, but Lilith flew up and instantly shredded the beast with her claws, forming her arms in an X-shape. Another monster made out of flesh and eyeballs came after Star, who did a flip and spun herself to kick it back. She stepped back as she grabbed a large ax and slammed it on the eye beast, splattering blood all over her.

Victor, realizing that his creations were losing this fight, went to unlock a large cage. "Monster… I command you to take them out while I escape!" he ordered as the monster came out from his shadowy cage while Victor made a hasty retreat.

As Star and Lilith fought off the remaining monsters, they heard a roar. They turned around and saw a much larger creature stepping forward. Lilith and Star backed away. The large monster looked more human, but he also looked like he was made out of several humans, with stitches all over him and gray pants with boots. He also had an electric shock collar. He screamed at them. He was… the original Frankenstein's Monster.

Lilith and Star were about to head for Vee, but the monster charged at them, knocking them away from her. "He's not going to let us help her that easily," Lilith said as she got up.

"Come on, let's take him down!" Star replied, the two rushing up to take on the monster.

The Creature started throwing things at them, such as crates and organs. Lilith flew up to dodge them, while Star jumped away and let it hit another monster. The Creature then roared again as he felt a blast from Star's hand and Lilith's lightning. But it has no effect on the Creature, who just shrugged it off. He walked up and grabbed the body of a dead monstrosity, throwing it at Star which knocked her aside.

"AAH!" Star cried out as she blasted it off of her. The Creature raised his fist to slam at her, but Star flipped away. She grabbed the knife and stabbed it on the monster, who shrieked and hit Star across the face, sending her to crash into a pile of supplies.

"Star!" Lilith cried out while glaring at the Creature. She grabs a hanging intestine to wrap around the Creature, but his strong arms snaps the intestines off of him. Lilith then shot electricity at him again, but he was not even phased. It was nothing compared to what the collar was doing to him.

Once Lilith stopped, she noticed one bulb on the collar pop which startled the Creature. The collar still had about four bulbs left as it continued to shock it. "Star, I think I know how to stop him."

"You do? How?" Star asked while wiping blood from her lip.

"That collar," Lilith pointed out, seeing the Creature's sad expression. "We need to destroy the collar. I think… I think he's being controlled!"

Star looked at the collar as the Creature threw a chair at them. Star blasted the chair away while dodging another incoming crate. "Hope you know what you're doing!"

"Just zap the bulbs on the collar!" Lilith instructed while they dodged more objects from the Creature.

And so, Lilith and Star faced off against the Creature, sending their attacks at him. The Creature shielded himself while Lilith slashed at one bulb on the collar. He swatted Lilith away while Star shot magic beams at him. The Creature grabbed a table tray to throw at her, but Star dodged it as she shot the third bulb.

Lilith rolled over as she kicked the Creature back with her talon. She spun around with her wings spread out, leaving a cut to the Creature's arm. He hollered and threw a head at her which knocked her back. The elder Clawthorne sister flew back up, targeting the collar and slashing it.

The Creature felt another shock from the collar, causing him to go berserk. The Creature threw two more boxes at them. Star got hit by one but she blasted it away from her. Lilith was hit by one but she quickly recovered. The two nodded to each other, Lilith shooting more electricity which the Creature appeared to absorb. This gives Star an opportunity to go closer to the Creature and shoot a magic beam at the collar, targeting the last bulb which broke.

The collar broke completely, freeing the Creature from its control. The Creature groaned as he felt his neck, realizing he was now free. He made another groaning noise as Lilith and Star were prepared to fight. Only, he didn't attack them, instead he just stepped aside to let them help Vee.

"Of course," Lilith realized. "He's as much of a victim as all of us are here."

"Come on," Star said as she and Lilith ran over to undo Vee's bonds. Once Vee was freed, the basilisk hugged Star.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" Vee cried out as she embraced the Mewman girl. Tears stream from her eyes. "I… I was so scared, I thought no one was gonna-!"

"Hey, hey Vee, it's okay," Star reassured her, hugging the basilisk girl.

"You are safe now," Lilith said as she walked up to check on Vee, only for Vee to back away from her. "Oh, right," she said, realizing her mistake.

"Are you alright, Vee?" Star asked.

"Y-Yeah," Vee replied, nervous around Lilith. "W-We should get out of this room…"

"We will," Star replied while the three also noticed the Creature was still there, just standing. "So what do we do with him?"

"Go…" the Creature finally spoke up.

"Oh, so you do talk?" Lilith asked him and the Creature nodded.

"Yes," he responded with a nod. "No hurt you. Just get out of here." He looked in the direction where Victor had run. "I got… unfinished business."

On another level, Amity, Gus and Eve fought against some guards that were in their way. Amity used her Abomi-goo to entrap them while Sam knocked them out. Gus used his illusions to trip them out while Eve used basic defense spells to avoid the guards, such as light spells and ice spells to freeze them. The three left a trail of knocked out guards in the process.

"This is where the portal door should be," Sam told Amity after hitting another guard.

"This way!" Amity led her friends to where the portal door was, at a test lab. They saw the portal door still up.

"Come on, let's get it!" Gus said until they were confronted by someone.

"Not so fast, you witches!" declared Dr. Frakes as she stepped in front of them. "No one gets past me, the great Dr. Frakes!" she declared while activating her HEAP.

"You're that crazy lady that tried to kidnap me!" Gus recognized.

"Yes, after which I was locked inside the trunk of a car, but fortunately I was eventually found," Dr. Frakes explained. "And luckily, Director Gates was willing to give me another chance after she acquired the portal door to another world! My one way ticket to name everything I discover there after me!"

"I think we can take her," Eve said.

"Yeah," Amity said as she drew spell circles around her.

"Sorry that I'm late!" said a familiar voice.

The trio felt their blood run cold as they turned around to see Michael entering the room. "Heard the alarm, looks like we've got a couple of loose animals out of their cages!" He grinned while holding up iron daggers. "I wonder who should I pelt?"

Gus glared at him. "You!" he shouted while running towards the insane man.

"Gus, wait!" Amity tried to stop him, but sensed a tendril coming at her. She dodged the tendril from Frakes who started to attack her.

"Hey, pay attention to me!" Frakes shouted.

"Amity!" Eve stepped in to use her defense spells, but Frakes used her HEAP tendril to wrap around Eve from behind. "WAAH!" she cried out as she was lifted in the air.

"Eve!" Amity shouted as she used her abomi-goo to create barriers to block the tendrils that were attacking her.

Gus charged at Michael, who grinned. Michael dodged Gus who sent a punch, before Michael kicked him down on his back. "Hey, little witch boy! Think you can just rush up and try to get me, boy?" Michael taunted as he played around, flipping around his daggers. He tried to stab Gus, but the illusionist rolled over as Michael stabbed the floor.

This makes Gus look anxious, being reminded of his encounter with Emily. He then saw Michael just looking at him before he turned around and walking towards the girls.

"I'll worry about you later boy, cause right now," Michael said as he saw Amity fighting against Frakes "I think I'll settle with pink eyes…"

Gus realized that he was going after Amity. Immediately, he got up and kicked Michael in the back, causing him to stumble over and drop his daggers, followed by a punch across the face. Michael looked unphased by this as he turned to Gus, who backed away with his fists raised up.

"Maybe I should settle with flaying you first, punk!" Michael ran up to Gus, who then turned invisible. He felt a kick in the stomach. "Gah!" he grunted as he heard the sound of running. "Aren't you a little old to play hide and seek?!" he questioned before giving chase.

Amity kept herself busy with Frakes as she donned her abomi-suit to jump back from the mechanical tentacles coming after her. She jumped back as she teleported behind Frakes, trying to shoot her abomi-webs at her but Frake's tentacles blocked the attempt.

"Hang on, Eve, I'll get you!" Amity shouted while Sam moves to save Eve.

"Not so fast!" Frakes had her tendril shoot out a flash grenade, causing Sam to retreat back to Amity. The tendril tried to intercept Amity but she jumped away and stuck to the wall.

"This feels like something out of Luz's comic books…" Amity said while jumping from wall to wall, avoiding Frakes' attacks.

Meanwhile, Michael looked around for Gus, who had led him away. "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" he said as he brought out a gun and started shooting around. "I said come out!" he shouted, but he heard no thud or anything.

Gus was behind Michael while invisible. "You know, if you show yourself, I might let you keep one ear," he heard Michael say as the man looked around for him. "Come on, just show yourself and we could talk! Like friends… we can talk about that stripper you seem to care about… Vaggie, was it?"

The invisible witch boy held his breath while Michael continued. "I did a little digging around using that little phone of hers. Not much on social media, but wow is she such a tramp. Read some of her little diaries in this thing." He held up Vaggie's phone. "After going through to them, I must say… she won't be missed. I think I did the world a favor by getting rid of such a path-"

Gus couldn't take it as he became visible and launched himself at Michael, who stepped aside and swung his blade at Gus. "AAH!" Gus screamed as he fell back, feeling the cut on his cheek. It wasn't a deep cut, but it did draw blood which dripped onto the floor.

"Found you!" Michael chimed.

Gus quickly made duplicates of himself so he could avoid getting stabbed by the madman. Michael began stabbing the duplicates, causing them to disappear. "Oh come on, no fair!" he shouted while Gus stood from behind his duplicates, trying to figure out how to take him down.

Back to Amity and Frakes' fight, Amity saw that Eve was still in Frakes' grasp. She had to think of something to stop Frakes and save Eve. She dodged one tentacle and grabbed onto it. Using her abomi-goo, she stuck the tentacle to the floor. She tried to move forward, but one tendril grabbed her by the ankle, and slammed her into the window of the observation room.

"There's nowhere for you to hide from me, witch!" Frakes declared.

"For a doctor, you sure have bad bedside manners!" Amity said while shooting up more abomi-goo, this time to cover the hands of the tendrils of Frakes' HEAP. She then shot the purple gunk at Frakes' eyes, causing her to lose momentum but one of her tendrils let go of Eve.

"WAH!" Eve cried out.

"Eve!" Amity reached her arms out as Sam went up to grab Eve. "You okay?"

"Yeah," Eve replied while being set back on her feet. "Thanks to your shadow, I'm fine."

"This isn't over!" Dr. Frakes declared as she drew near. "Here's a physics lesson for you, witches, I'm bigger than you and I have-" She was then punched to the face by Amity, which sent her crashing into some exposed wires, causing her to be electrified and scream as her HEAP sent an electric surge.

"I'm at least taller than you…" Amity said as she saw Frakes fall to the floor. "Is she alright?"

Sam went to check on Frakes, who was groaning and drooling. "She's good."

Amity sighed in relief as she turned to the table where the key was left. She grabbed the key and tapped it as the portal door closed on itself. "Portal Key, required!"

"Yeah!" Eve replied as she went over to grab the folded portal door. "Now, to find Gus."

"You can't hide from me any longer, witch boy!" Michael shouted while cutting down another duplicate. "Sooner or later, I'll end up cutting down the real you! You're not the first kid I had to kill to hunt down your kind!"

Gus backed away as Michael cut down his last duplicate. He tried to perform a spell, but then Michael pinned him down with his hand gripping his neck.

"Say hi to your little stripper for me!" he said, ready for the kill.

But then Gus's eyes turned blue. Michael's eyes turned blue as well, under the influence of Gus's spell. He looked shocked to see who was in front of him. "No… nonono, it can't be…" Michael backed away, letting go of the woman he thought he had slain. "M-Mother? You… you're supposed to be dead." More people started showing up, making Michael shake. "That girl who rejected me… the mailman who got my mail wrong…" He then saw some dead soldiers. "I thought I blew you guys up at boot camp!"

Michael, for the first time, felt fear. He fell over as he backed away, seeing the many people surrounding him, staring at him. "Get back! Get back!" He felt his heart racing rapidly, while among the people was Vaggie, who appeared with the knife in her eye.

"You did this…" Vaggie's voice was echoing as the people around him started chanting.

"You did this! You did this! You bastard!"

"No! Please, stop!" Michael gripped at his chest, while outside of the illusion, Gus was there to keep using his spell on him.

"Consider this your penance!" Gus declared while keeping up with the spell.

"Stop! Please, stop! This isn't funny!" Michael cried out before he gasped. "My… my heart, I-" He felt his arm numb as his heart exploded. His eyes rolled over and he fell back dead.

Gus gasped as he stopped using his spell. He looked at Michael's motionless body. He saw his lips turning blue while his face was pale. Gus walked over to the body, poking it. He backed away in shock…

"Gus!"

Amity and Eve caught up to Gus. "We got the key, we have to-" Amity paused, seeing Michael's body and Gus's shaken look.

"I… I used my spell on him," he said while Sam checked on the body. Amity's shadow gave confirmation, which made Amity worried.

"Gus… I'm so sorry," Amity said, patting his shoulder. "Are you going to be okay?"

"...No, no I'm not." Gus responded, looking down in guilt. "I… I wanted to hurt him just as he hurt Vaggie, and-" Tears streamed from his eyes before he saw Vaggie's phone on the ground. He picked it up.

"We should get out of here," Eve suggested.

"Right, let's go find Luz and the others," Amity said as they ran out of the corridor, leaving the body of Michael where it lay.

Luz beat more guards out of the way while leading her human family and McGucket out. "Come on, we have to-" She then saw more guards showing up with their guns out. They began shooting, prompting Luz to use Maya's wings to block the shot.

"We have to find another path!" Dipper shouted as they turned, only for more guards to show up.

"We're trapped!" Mabel cried out.

"Not for long!" King took a deep breath and shouted "WEH!" at the guards. They fell back from his screech or rage, but more guards showed up with more weapons.

"Are you alright, Camila?" Stan asked Camila who was being helped by him and McGucket.

"I… should be fine." she replied, wincing from the stab wound.

Raphael showed up with more men. "Open fire!" he declared as the guards kept shooting. Luz responded by shooting fire blasts at them, followed by light beams that took out some of the men, but more came to replace the fallen. Raphael held up his own gun, targeting the twins. "Let me show you how it's done…"

Stan noticed the agent targeting his kids and he ran up to save them. "Stop!" he shouted.

BANG!

"STAN!" Dipper and Mabel shouted while Luz turned to see Grunkle Stan fall.

"No!" Luz shouted before she turned to Raphael, seeing red. "BASTARD!" she shouted with hers and Maya's voice in sync as she flew down to slash at Raphael across the face.

"AAH!" Raphael screamed as he felt the scratch across his face, his shades broken. He knelt down while his men charged at Luz/Maya, who swung their wings to knock them away. They formed a spinning wing technique to knock the guards out of the way, but more kept coming.

"There's just too many of them!" McGucket shouted.

"Then we'll just have to keep fighting!" King shouted as he roared at more guards.

"Get close to me!" Luz shouted as she kept knocking over more guards while protecting the Pines, her mom, and McGucket. She was feeling overwhelmed as they kept attacking.

Raphael managed to crawl away from Luz. "Shoot them! Shoot them all to hell!" he ordered.

"YAAH!"

The sound of the screaming guard was heard behind Raphael, who turned around and saw large vines whipping at the guards. All the guards stopped as they saw the large vines grabbing each and every one of them. They shot back, but it did little good. Raphael screamed as he tried to run, but he was also intercepted by the vines.

The guards at the back tried to fight the vines as they left Luz and co alone, knocking the guards out instead. Some bloomed flowers that spread a mist that put the guards to sleep..

"What the…?" Luz saw one flower approaching her and it opened up to reveal someone that she was surprised to see. "WILLOW!"

"Luz!" Willow replied as she held up a vine to whip several guards coming at them. "Are you okay?!"

"I'm good, but Grunkle Stan was shot in the shoulder!" Luz pointed to Stan, who was being helped by Camila and the twins.

"Hang on!" Willow said as she used her plant magic to deal with the rest of the guards. She then walked over to Stan, using her vines to wrap them around Stan's shoulder. "This should help with your shoulder sir."

"He's gonna need medical attention," Camila pointed out.

"Don't worry, I've been shot at before," Stan said as Camila and Willow helped him up.

It was then Luz went up to hug Willow. "So glad that I found you, Willow!" she declared.

"You too, Luz," Willow replied, hugging Luz as well.

"But how did you escape?" Luz asked her. "I tried to communicate with you through an in-between realm, but you were knocked out then. Were you here this whole time?"

"Actually, I broke in," Willow corrected, surprising Luz. "I'm here to rescue everyone… and I brought in some new friends."

"Ninja Air Punch!" Randy shouted as he shot out an air punch towards the guards while dodging their attacks. He used his scarf to grab one and throw him around to knock out the others.

"What's the Norrisville Ninja doing here?!" one guard questioned.

"Who cares, kill him!" another responded as they kept shooting at him.

But Randy, using his ninja skills, dodged them as he threw his throwing stars into the barrels of their guns, causing them to explode.

Randy looked at the cells where they were keeping magical creatures and used an access card he had gotten on them. "Come on, everyone, freedom!"

Jake flew around the prison level, using his tail to knock guards out.

"Alright, everyone, time for a prison break," Jake declared, using a card he had taken from a guard on the locks. "Free everybody!"

He flew up to the upper levels to open more cells. Wander and Sylvia managed to get free, along with Randall and Herbie.

"Don't let them escape!" one guard shouted while Randall slithered around and snapped his neck.

"Ha! Didn't see that coming, did ya, bud?!" Randall shouted as he heard Herbie honking. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!"

"Well that wasn't very nice of him to do," Wander noted while Sylvia picked him up and put him on her back.

"Come on, let's find your hat and get out of here!" Sylvia replied as they headed out like the rest of the prisoners.

"But first, we have to let go of the others!" Wander suggested.

Sylvia sighed. "Fine, but we are getting out of here after we find your hat!" she said as they went around to free the other prisoners. They managed to free the unicorns and the Manotaur, who in turn freed the Multi-Bear.

"Alright boys," McPolka said as he and his monster clowns escaped their cell. "Let's get out of here!"

Jake spotted some familiar faces amongst the prisoners. "What the… Banana B?"

"Hey, Jake, whazzap?" asked the talking chimp in a yellow drip outfit. He had a mixture of a cockney and Australian accent. "Heh, no hard feelings, right mate?"

"Long time, no see," spoke a girl with square glasses, black bobcut with pink streaks, a muzzle on her, and a sci-fi outfit. "See what I did there?"

"Vicki Fickling?!" Jake recognized the girl. "Um… no hard feelings back in Fillmore, right? Though, you did hypnotize me… okay, I still don't know what lesson from that was."

"No hard feelings indeed, American Dragon," spoke a wizard man in a green suit with horn-shaped blonde hair. "We meet again."

"Eli Panderus," Jake said, narrowing his eyes. "Look, I can free you guys since I'm too kind to let you all die here. So… truce for now?"

The three of Jake's old enemies looked at each other before looking back at the dragon.

"Fine, a truce it is," Eli decided.

"Yeah, totally agreed!" Banana B replied.

"But once this is over, we have so much catching up to do," Vicki pointed out while Jake goes to free them. "Like the new Star Trip series that came out two years ago, I curse those Archangels for making me miss out!"

Jake sighed. "I hope I don't regret this…"

The guards cleared out through a mysterious fog. They coughed as one guard pointed up. "Look out!"

"What-AAH!" One guard was eaten by a large dire wolf. Coming out from the shadows were gremoblins that went to bite the necks off of the guards.

Wraiths showed up to steal the souls of the guards that wronged them, followed by an arachne who shot her webs at them. Unicorns charged in, stabbing the guards through the faces. Herbie also drove through, running over every guard while Randall was in the driver's seat.

"Never knew Love Bugs are this blood thirsty!" Randall commented.

Power and Trigger, while in a cell, saw the chaos happening around them. They backed away when the Multi-Bear came to free them with an access card.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Powers said once they were freed.

"Not yet," Trigger responded as he ran the other way.

"Where are you going, Trigger?" Powers demanded.

"I have to do something!" Trigger responded as he continued running.

Powers sighed as one guard tried to intercept him. But Powers punched and quickly took him out. Once the guard was down, Powers took his weapon away. "Hope to see you back alive, Trigger."

Blasting into the evidence vault, a hobgoblin is shown breaking through the vault along with a unicorn, leprechaun, and other magical creatures.

"Alright, boys," a hobgoblin declared. "The store's opened!"

Each of the magical creatures went to grab their belongings. Things like artifacts, family heirlooms, and many other objects the Archangels took away.

The same hobgoblin found a green hat up on a display. It sparked his interest. "Ooh, nice hat..."

But he was then sucker punched by Sylvia. "Not today, dirtbag!" she shouted. "Bingo," she said as she grabbed the hat while going back to find Wander who was currently freeing every prisoner he could find.

Elsewhere in Purgatory, Lilith, Star and Vee had made their way to where the chaos had broken out, with all the magical creatures having escaped from their cells and were now dealing with the guards.

"What in Titan's name just happened?!" Lilith cried out.

Vee spotted the Multi-Bear fighting alongside a Manotaur and some centaurs. "Multi!"

The many-headed bear turned to see Vee. "Vee? It's so great to see you alright!"

"Same for you!" Vee said while Star protected her from one guard.

"We need to find a way out of here!" Star shouted.

"Hey, there are cops down here!" someone else cried out. "Let's get 'em!"

"Cops?" Vee asked, quickly slithering in that direction.

"Vee, wait!" Lilith shouted as she and Star went up after her.

As Vee slithered over to where some magical creatures had gathered, she heard some familiar voices.

"W-Wait, you got it wrong!" spoke Durland as he and Blubs backed away from some angry magical creatures. "We're not with those creeps!"

"Yeah, we're just here looking for Vee!" Blubs insisted. "Does anyone know where someone named Vee is?!"

"Blubs! Durland!" Vee cried out as she slithered over to them. "You're here!"

"Vee!" they cried out as they went to hug the basilisk, which surprised her as she realized that she was not in her disguise.

"Thank Jesus you're okay!" Durland shouted.

"O-Okay?" Vee stammered as she quickly changed her form. "You guys aren't… scared of my appearance?"

"Well, we do understand why you kept this from us," Blubs admitted.

"And while it was shocking at first, we live in Gravity Falls. We've encountered a living pterodactyl, giant vampire bats, gnomes, and the Clawthornes," Durland pointed out. "You being a… um-"

"Basilisk," Vee clarified.

"A basilisk isn't gonna change the fact that… we care about you," Durland finished.

"Oh guys…" Vee sniffed as she hugged the two cops again.

"Wait, so like, they're not with the Archangels?" asked a shark man while the other magical creatures looked confused as well.

"Obviously not," Star told them all, while she pointed in a direction. "But more are coming!"

Reinforcements showed up, bringing out their weapons. Lilith kicked one with her talons while using her wings to knock out the others. The guards tried to shoot at Star, who was distracted, but Blubs and Durland tackled the guards before they could get a shot, Durland ending up biting one on the leg, causing the guard to scream.

"Guess they're on our side," spoke an elf.

Amity, Gus and Eve ran through the corridors while hearing noises.

"Looks like the party's started," Amity guessed.

"This explains so much," Eve said. "The gnomes mentioned that creatures had been going missing. Department A must have been responsible for their disappearances."

Gus then spotted something glowing coming up to them. "Look!"

The trio saw Acorn flying up to them.

"Amity!" the pixie cried out while Ghost also showed up, flying thanks to pixie dust.

"Acorn! Ghost!" Amity responded. "Glad to see you two here! Wait, how did you find us here?"

"We didn't come here alone," Ghost told her.

"We came here with a witch who says that she's a friend of yours," Acorn explained.

"Friends of ours?" Amity asked as she realized who she meant.

Meanwhile, Trigger has broken into the office of Director Gates. Still feeling creeped out by the room, he spotted who he was looking for: the glowing, yellow pixie, who noticed Trigger and looked scared.

"Hey, wait, it's alright… I'm a friend," Trigger said as he walked up to the desk. He grabbed the lamp and opened it. The pixie flew out, smiling. "See, you're free now. I just came because… no one should be mistreated like this. What Gates is doing is inhumane and wrong," he told the pixie. "You, uh, got a name, miss?"

The pixie spread her pixie dust, which spelled out her name: TINKERBELL.

Willow used a large flower pedal to take Luz, King, Camila, the Pines, and McGucket through the corridors. They see the chaos happening around them with the Archangels trying to fight off against the magical creatures and being overwhelmed.

"And I thought prison breaks was my own thing!" Luz commented.

"Yeah," Willow replied as she spotted someone. "Wait a minute…"

Jenny Porter was trying to escape amidst the chaos. Thanks to her cell getting opened by some hobgoblin, the slippery witch was trying to find her way out while avoiding the flying bullets and spontaneous fires.

"Almost there!" Jenny said.

WHACK!

She was suddenly sucker-punched in the face by Willow. Jenny rolled over as she landed on the floor. She groaned, feeling the soreness of her face. Then she was suddenly wrapped in vines. "AH!" she cried out, now completely bound in vines.

"You're not gonna slip away this time," Willow told Jenny as she put her with the others.

"Why are we taking her?" Luz asked.

"She's gonna answer for her crimes," Willow replied.

"We can always make her look like one of the Archangels and leave her to her fate," King suggested.

"I second that," Luz said.

Willow sighed before she heard two more familiar voices calling to her. "WILLOW!" She turned to see Amity, Gus and Eve running up to her.

"Gus, Amity!" Willow cried out as the three hugged each other.

"We are so glad that you're safe!" Amity replied.

"Were you taken prisoner too?" Gus asked her.

"Actually, she broke in," Luz pointed out. "Turns out, Will-O-Wisp managed to figure out where to find us and she made some friends in the magic community!"

Willow then noticed Eve. "Eve? You were here this whole time?"

"Actually, I ended up in Gravity Falls before coming here against my will," Eve explained.

"Alright, Willow, you take everyone out of here!" Luz said as she spread her wings.

"Where are you going?!" Dipper asked.

"To find mom!" Luz declared as she was about to fly away but Camila spoke to her.

"Luz wait!" She reached out to grab her hand as Luz turned to her human mother. "Be careful."

Luz smiled with a nod. "I will," she promised as she flew through the chaos to find Eda.

"Angel? Where are you!"

Eda flew through the dark corridors where she had followed the director. She looked around and continued to call for her. "Please, Angel, show yourself!"

"Why do you keep calling me that?" asked Angel's voice. "How do you know me?"

"Because we were friends!" Eda declared.

"Friends? With a witch?" Angel's voice scoffed. "You're even more delusional if you think I'd be friends with your kind."

"But we were friends!" Eda insisted. "Angel… when I first came to the human world, you saved me when I was attacked and you took me to your home. I defended you from your mother and the Gates siblings…" She took a deep breath. "You were the first friend I made in this world. I remember when we saw John Carpenter's The Thing when it was in theaters… that's when you realized that I was a witch. You didn't care, you thought I was cool. I… I agreed to take you back to my realm, where we lived together. You were the one who gave me the idea of selling human world junk as treasures! You were my best friend until… until you wanted to go back. I took you back to the human realm, then people from this organization tried to capture me and I lost control… I didn't mean to kill you, Angel!" She continued to look for her. "But what… what happened to you, Angel? What the hell did those bastards do to you?"

Angel Sinclair, now alive with a new arm and eye, was on the run. She ran and ran through the snow-covered forest, the young teenage panicking. She knew what they wanted to do to her and she did not want it, but they were not giving her a choice. So the only thing she could do was run.

"Found her!"

She saw the red hooded men pop up from behind some trees, Angel turning around to run back. But she was then grabbed and pinned down by one of the red hooded men.

"No, please, let me go!" she screeched as she was cuffed.

"Take her back to headquarters," the member of the Blind Eye Society said as the others nodded.

Once they had returned to the headquarters of the Blind Eye Society, Angel was brought against her will to the seat. Once they strapped her in so she wouldn't escape again, Angel saw her mom talking to Blind Ivan.

"Will it be over soon?" Ms. Sinclair asked.

"Yes, it is a quick and painless procedure," Ivan reassured her. "Trust us, Ms. Sinclair."

"I do, the Gates family wouldn't have recommended me to you otherwise," she told him.

"Ah, yes," Ivan nodded. "The Gates family. Without them you wouldn't be able to see the heart of our operation. But fortunately for you, we have the same powerful friends. The Gates family, like the Northwests, are willing to pay a lot for access to our services."

"Mom, please!" Angel cried out as tears flooded from her eyes. "Don't let them do this to me! I don't want to forget about Eda!"

"Don't worry, honey," Angel's mom said calmly, ignoring her daughter's screams. "This is for your own good. I promise."

"No! This is wrong!" Angel shouted while Ivan prepared the memory gun. "I don't want to forget! You can't do this to me, you can't do this to people!"

"Soon this will all be just a bad dream to you, Angel Sinclair," Ivan said while aiming the memory gun at her. He fired as Angel continued to scream, her mother looking away…

"It sounds like the person you knew has been dead for a long time… because of you," said the voice of Angel.

Eda turned around and saw Angel revealing herself. "Angel…" Eda stepped forward slowly. "My Titan, my heart beats faster, and my mind is racing… Could it be…? Could it be that you've come back to life?"

She tried to reach out to Angel, who backed away sternly. "I know those eyes, not just from anyone… Bright and familiar, and bright as the sun," Eda sang while looking at Angel. "I know that face, strange though it seems… younger and kinder it haunts all my dreams…"

"How can you stand there? A whisper from me… yet, somehow be so far away," Eda changed to her default form, stepping closely to Angel who backed away. "In eyes once familiar… how stranger I seem. With so many words left to say…"

"That girl is dead," Angel declared. "She is no more… she died a little each day! Like a thief, it was Lucifer who stole her away!"

"The mind plays tricks! You are confused, the girl you seek is long gone!" Angel continued. "Dead and cold, a story told… by those she trusted, those she loved, and those who then… moved on!"

Angel looked down as Eda stepped closer. When she was close enough, Angel looked up and held up a trigger, causing Eda's eyes to widen.

BOOM!

Eda fell back as the explosives Angel had placed were activated. Shards and shrapnel launched, slicing through her dress and hitting Eda in the eye. "AAH!" she screamed as she held her face where her eye was. She took the shrapnel out, wincing at the pain, but her eye was no more.

Angel casually walked towards her, pulling out her gun as she aimed it at Eda's head. "Goodbye, witch…"

"NO!"

A light beam knocked the gun out of Angel's hand and she turned to see Luz kicking her away from her mom. Angel slid back, keeping her posture while glaring at Luz, who stood in between her and Eda.

"Stay away from my mom!" Luz declared while taking on a fighting stance.

"Your mom?" Angel asked. "Those witches have warped not only your body, but your mind as well."

"Says the Klanswoman," Luz countered as she shot flames from her hands. Angel flipped to the side, dodging them. Luz then delivered a side kick to her which Angel blocked with her arms.

The Director glared at Luz as she jumped up and kicked Luz in the chest, knocking her back. This surprised Luz as she saw Angel deliver a punch towards her. Luz dodged it, but the next punch struck Luz across the face, launching Luz into a wall. Angel went over to grab Luz by the neck, but while up close to Luz she saw the leather jacket tied around Luz's waist and her eyes widened.

"That jacket… where did you get it?" Angel asked. She didn't know why, but something about the jacket deeply upset her. She punched Luz in the stomach while still holding her neck. "WHERE DID YOU GET IT?! TELL ME!"

Luz's eyes change as Maya took over, using her wings to punch her away from her.

"You alright, Luz?" Maya asked.

"This lady is fucked up in the mind!" Luz responded as Maya agreed.

Angel let out a yell as she tried to drop kick Luz, who dodged it. Luz uses her wings to knock Angel out of the way. Luz saw her pull out a military knife as Maya took over to block the attacks. Swiftly, she moved her arms to block Angel's attacks, managing to catch the knife and pull it away from Angel. Maya then used her wings to punch Angel away from her. Angel hit the wall, knocking her head against it.

Luz took back over, looking at Angel who was about to get up. But before she could do so, Luz kicked her in the face, knocking her out.

"Stay down," Luz said while turning her attention to Eda. "Hang on, mom!" she said as she helped her mother up. "Can you stand?" she asked.

Eda took one last glance at Angel before turning to Luz. "Let's get out of here," she said as Luz spread her wings, hanging Eda's arm around her as they flew away.

Once they got out of that corridor, they saw Herbie driving up and coming to a stop. Opening up, they saw Randall along with Wander and Sylvia.

"We can squeeze you in if you two need a ride," Wander offered while Luz took Eda in. "Oh goodness, are you alright, ma'am?" he asked Eda while Luz got in.

"I'll be fine," Eda said as Luz shut the door.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Randall shouted as Herbie drove away.

Near the exit, the guards tried to contain the situation, but were attacked by Jake Long and his former enemies. Banana B knocks one guard out, while ripping one's face off. Eli Panderus used spells to turn the guards into frogs, while Vicki Fickling used her siren voice to get the guards to shoot at themselves.

"Yo, that's a little much, don't you think?" Jake asked.

"Either us or them, mate," Banana B responded.

It was then Randy appeared with more magical creatures. "Come on, everyone, exit, stage left!" he shouted, pointing his sword toward the exit while they charged through.

"Jake, Randy!" Willow shouted as she brought her group over. "I found my friends!" she said while also appearing was the Multi-Bear with Vee, Blubs and Durland on their back, while Lilith flew over with Star on her back.

"Wait, where's Luz and Eda?" Amity asked.

King spotted Herbie driving toward the exit with Luz out of the window. "She's in there!"

"Come on, let's move!" Jake shouted as he led everyone out.

Waiting outside the mountain was Fazio's truck, the back of it now empty. He was eating a sandwich, waiting until he heard a rumble. He looked up and saw many magical creatures coming out from the mountain, causing him to shout as he dove out of their way. He then spotted Willow's group showing up, with Gus with them.

"Gus! Hey!" Fazio waved his hands around.

"Fazio!" Gus called out as he pointed down to the truck. "Get everyone in there!"

Willow nodded as she guided everyone to climb into the back of the truck. Gus, Amity, Eve, Ghost, Acorn, King, Jenny, the Pines family, Camila, McGucket, Lilith, Jake and Randy got into the truck while Vee along with Star, Blubs and Durland went to their own car. Coming out last was Herbie who came to a stop, letting Luz and Eda, now with a bandage wrapped around her eye, out.

"Thanks for helping my mom!" Luz told Wander and Sylvia.

"No problem, happy to be of help!" Wander replied as he waved.

"Stay safe!" Sylvia told them while Luz and Eda headed to the back of the truck, Amity and Lilith helping them out. "Say Herbie, don't you think you could've let those guards live?"

Herbie honked in response and Randall replied while they began to drive away. "Yeah, we all have to come to our own moral conclusions in life."

"Everyone accounted for?" Jake asked.

"Yeah, we're all here," Willow said while looking around.

Gus was sitting up front while Fazio prepared to drive. "You alright, Gus? They didn't hurt you in there, did they?" he asked.

"I… fine, Fazio," Gus replied.

"Good, cause I don't know what'll I tell Vaggie about all of this," Fazio responded, causing Gus's heart to sink.

"Fazio… Vaggie's dead," Gus told him, which shocked Fazio.

"What…" he said, looking distraught. "No… I just got in contact with her-"

"The people in there killed her and took her phone to cover it up," Gus told him, showing her phone to him. "I'm sorry…"

"No… no, not her," Fazio said as he looked at the wheel while Gus patted his shoulder.

"Let's… let's just get out of here," he said and Fazio nodded after a moment, stepping on the gas and driving them away from Purgatory while explosions could be heard behind them.

Everyone in the back was in silence, Eda leaning on the wall of the truck. Luz sat beside her mom, while looking at everyone around. They had just gotten out of Purgatory. Lilith also sat beside them.

"Edalyn… are you alright?" Lilith asked her sister.

Eda shook her head. "No… no I-" Tears fell from her eye as she started to cry. She buried her face with her arms, crying while Luz and Lilith comforted her, King walking up to comfort her as well.

As the truck drove back toward town, nobody noticed another vehicle leaving Purgatory. It was one of Department A's vehicles and it was heading in the same direction as Fazio's truck… back to Gravity Falls.

69 pages of this chapter. Let's see some references to reveal as much as I can:

We now know what becomes of Randall after the events of Monsters Inc. Trapped in the human world until his capture and imprisonment by the Archangels.

Herbie from the Love Bug franchise is also there imprisoned as well, which using a certain American Dad reference for his appearance.

Wander and Sylvia from Wander Over Yonder also makes an appearance.

Jake's old enemies such as Eli Panderus, Banana B, and Vicki Fickling also makes an appearance as they're also prisoners of Purgatory. Along with some shark-people.

Now for the real take on about the origins of Angel Sinclair-Gates, being that she is the descendant to Helga Sinclair, who survived from her fall from the Atlantis: The Lost Empire movie. We have planned this out way before when coming up ideas for the LC series when developing the Archangels, the Gates Family and Belo's origins. As well as their ties to the Huntsclan and the Blind-Eye Society.

And yes, Dr. Victor West is in fact, Dr. Frankenstein, who has deep ties to the Gates family. Especially being the one who revived Angel.

The song Eda and Angel sang in a rendition of "I Know Those Eyes/This Man is Dead" from The Court of Monte Cristo Musical.

And speaking of Angel… yeah, ever since she was revived she was pretty much indocterated into the Archangels after her memories of Eda were erased. Since then, she dehumanized and the creature that attacked her, and making it easier for her to hate magic kind. As you can see, the Archangels will do anything to recruit members.

Also wondering if someone would get the EMH and American Dad references. Well, EMH's Breakout was some inspiration, as well as Cabin in the Woods.

And as for how Willow, Jake, and Randy got here, well, you'll learn soon in the next chapter, along with where the Gatesfield Teens and Nora are.

Now to answer reviews:

Loolool: Yes, yes it did.

Ultimate-drax: This chapter will explain how Angel falls… heh, see what I did there?

BlueKnight-X2: Well, hope that isn't the case.

ReviewerDWJ: Yup, that's how the twist went out.

Crosshot: Yeah, we were the masters of deceit on the twist. Hope this answers where Acorn and Ghost are, and hopefully you're satisfied with the latest chapter.

Wolf of howl street: Not sure what you're saying.

TheFranninator: You could say that, her guilt may have turned for the worse…

Shuffollower: As you can see, Victor had been the one who revived and yeah, Michael got his just deserts. And no, Jackie couldn't show up, nor Janna.

JTK: What's so confusing? We've made a statement on the previous Author's Notes last chapter.

Philip Clark: It Was Angel All Along~!

Voice over guy: Yeah, pretty much a mixture of both for Angel's case.

Next chapter, we continue with what's going on at the Falls...
