AN: I didn't realize how many chapters had back to back music numbers in them until I went through to edit today. Rewriting would mean making you guys wait longer for a chapter and I don't really want to do that, so I hope you like the music scenes. (Again, sorry if there's a lot of them close together)

Chap 11

CJ hadn't been the only former friend who'd been worried for Drac. After his reappearance Diego DeVil, Freddie and Celia Facilier, and Ginny Gothel all greeted him back, relieved he was okay. They spent the next week seeing each other every day. They stole together - from only those who didn't accept Drac's offer - caused mischief, and snickered at lesser villains who strolled by. By the end of the seven days half of the people who had rejected Drac had turned to him looking for the thievery to stop. And it did, which left more time to steal from Uma's side of the Isle, which Drac reveled in. But it was Diego who gravitated to him the most and at nightfall once they were alone, Drac found out why.

"Is Carlos okay?" he'd asked looking nervous.

Drac nodded and saw the worry vanish from Diego's features, before he ran a hand through his black and white mohawk and tried to look cool again.

He shrugged nonchalantly, "Good for him I guess."

Drac smiled and chuckled, "He's got a pet dog too."

That brought the shock back to Diego's face "Get outta here."

Drac raised his hands palms up, "I swear D. He goes everywhere with the mutt. Even told his mom off when she found out."

That brought a bigger grin to DeVil's face. "Sweet. I'm glad he's finally sticking up for himself."

"He takes after his cousin." Drac replied playing to Diego's ego.

Then a reserved look entered his eyes and he had trouble looking at Drac. The young dragon lad watched his friend inquisitively but didn't say a word as Diego pondered his own thoughts.

"Listen." He began, "There's something you should know."

Drac paused waiting to hear bad news.

"That old teach from Dragon Hall, Yen Sid. He's been whispering with some of the students about starting a secret club."

"A club for what?" Drac asked not getting what the big deal was.

"A club that celebrates your sister and her gang." He clarified. Drac was shocked but nodded for Diego to continue, "He came to me, probably because of my relation to Carlos. There's a fair amount of VK's at the school who look up to those four."

"Why?"

"They think that if the baddest of the bad can turn good and have a nice life, that maybe they can too. Get off this rock one day and actually live how they want."

"Well I can't blame them for that." Drac muttered stuffing his hands in his pockets as they walked and Diego nodded in agreement.

"I wasn't sure how you'd take it. I'm not sure where you stand with your sister."

"To be honest, neither do I." he admitted, "But if a club wants to get together and celebrate them. . . well, better they like my sister then Uma."

"True." Diego nodded. "They're having a meeting at Evie's old place. I said I'd go. You want me to report back to you what I find?"

"Yeah, thanks Diego." He clapped him on the shoulder, shared a grin and they parted, heading down opposite sides of the street.

Drac walked through the Isle with confidence, regardless of night falling. His strut was back and people cowered when he walked by.

In the past week Drac had come through for everyone who swore their loyalties to him. Everyone who he'd been able to put on his 'allies' list had been spared Hades latest rampage, which happened to be yesterday. Drac knew it was only a matter of time before everyone came begging him for mercy.

He still had issues with Uma who had a firm grip on her side of the Isle but he'd take that turf back too, all in good time. Maybe he'd give it to CJ for a present. Then they could rule the Isle together, causing fear and wreaking havoc. For now though, he was enjoying the fact that he wasn't hiding under a rock fearing for his life. He was in a relatively good mood, until he realized where his feet had inadvertently taken him.

Bargain Castle. The place where he'd grown up, the place where his mother had taught him and Mal how to be cruel and vicious, where he'd made friends with Jay and Carlos – even if it was only because their parents had stopped by to scheme with Maleficent.

As he stepped inside and saw it again it looked different. Even though everything was exactly the same. But somehow, after Auradon, every corner, every piece of furniture, everything held a reminder of how much of a prisoner he'd been to his mother. He pulled the purple beanie off his head and remembered where he'd gotten it from. Aziz. He thought back and his mind was filled with the memories of his. . . friends. The word seemed strange now, after he'd turned his back on them and returned to the Isle like Mommy's good little boy. Pin, Bobby Hood, Opal, Jane, Doug. Everyone. Did they laugh at him now when his name was brought up? At how pathetically he'd given in to his mother's commands. He knew people on the Isle would laugh at a prince or princess who did as their parents told them. Goody two shoes, they'd say. Did the people in Auradon mock him now? He looked back at the hat in his hands. "You'll always have friends here Drac." Aziz had promised him on the bridge. But how true was it? That was a question Drac would never be able to answer. Unless he returned to Auradon. Which he knew was about as likely as Uma and Mal becoming besties again.

He sighed feeling rage bubble within him again. He didn't deserve good friends like that, friends who would forgive everything bad and rotten he'd ever done. Did he?

No, he couldn't. That was why life or fate had taken that away from him.

No, not fate, he thought. Her. His mother was the cause of that, she'd been selfish, only thinking of herself, what she wanted. "You don't know what I want!" Mal had yelled. "Mom have you ever once asked me or Drac what we want? I'm not you!"

And Drac wasn't his mother either. He was his father's son.

One hand dropped from the hat and clenched into a fist at his side. His time in Bargain Castle, all those lessons about control now seemed meaningless. Being surrounded by the memories left a bad taste in his mouth and Drac snapped. His hand ignited and he tossed a green fireball across the room. He threw bottles and kicked over furniture. He broke frames hanging from the walls and smashed windows. He let out his frustrations on his mother, on Uma, on Mal, on everything. Could anyone blame him? His life had been turned upside down and eventually something had to give. His mother, his rock - his abusive, manipulative, self centered rock - the one constant in his life was gone. And his sister, his companion, his closest confidant and best friend was a world away reinventing herself for a life of good. Along with his friends. And that left a hole inside him. His father filled it a bit, and it felt nice to have a parent that genuinely seemed to care. To Hades everyone on this island was beneath him, he was a god who – in his eyes – had been wrongly imprisoned here. But even his presence, though comforting, just wasn't the same.

By the time Drac was finished with his mental breakdown the place was positively trashed, the first floor anyway.

Catching his breath Drac turned and stormed out of the castle. He made the long trek back across the Isle. Hades' lair being as far from Maleficent's as it could possibly be.

He heard a caw and looked up at the sky. Diaval was circling above and when his young master looked up at him he dove and gracefully landed on Drac's elbow that the boy held out for him to perch on. He had something in his beak and Drac lifted his free hand allowing the bird to drop it. It was a shrimp. . . shrimp?. . . shrimpy. . . Uma! Diaval cawed twice more and Drac knew Uma must be up to something. He had to be ready to retaliate! So he changed his course and made his way back to the Slop Shop.

On the other side of the Isle Uma and her pirates were celebrating, Uma had just won a ship that day in a race at Pirate's Bay. It was a huge victory and the first step to becoming a real pirate. Harry Hook had been a close second but his anger and disappointment seemed to be curbed when Uma named him her first mate. With a ship Uma finally had a place for her crew outside of the Fish and Chip shop ran by her mother. The ship was hers, not something she inherited and it would be a symbol of her rising power.

Harry pushed open the doors and sauntered his way inside before reaching the counter and leaning across it to her, "Another dozen have shown up at the docks lookin' ta join yer crew, Capt'n." he tipped his hat to her with a smirk.

Uma smiled, "Soon." She said, "Soon we'll have enough pirates to take the other half of the Isle from that baby dragon, and once I have the Isle wrapped in my tentacles we'll take Auradon!" she said, her voice shouting the last three words making everyone in the chip shop cheer.

"This is all hands on deck!" she cried as they all slammed their hands on the table. "Calling out to lost boys and girls, I'm getting tired of the disrespect." She held her sword up high and rounded the table with Harry while Gil opted to simply jump up on the furniture. "We won't stop til we rule the world. It's our time, we up next! Our sail's about to be set! They ain't seen nothing yet! Tell'em who's in charge so they don't forget." She told Harry, "What's my name? What's my name?" she began to sing as they all cried, "UMA!"

"Say it louder! What's my name, what's my name? Feel the power." she said as the crew lifted her onto the table with Gil, though she quickly pushed him down, "No one's gonna stop us, soon the world will be ours! What's my name? What's my name? What's it? What's it? Say it loud!"

The crew chanted 'Uuuuuu-ma'. Harry joined her on the table looking down at the other pirates with wicked glee. Soon they leapt from the counter and joined the crew in dancing like scallywags.

In the glassless space above the doors sat a black raven who had returned and watched it all. Then Diaval spread his wings and took off. He soared over the Isle and through alleyways, ducking and rising then ducking again until he made it to the Slop Shop and landed on a table inside.

Drac had just gotten back to the dank cafe finding it in chaos as goblins scurried about trying to sort out the mess. Using a chair to step up onto a table Drac sang loudly.

"I'm the king of this town!" All the goblins stopped and turned to him raising fists in the air as they cheered him. "I call the shots! You know who I am. I don't need to wear a fake crown." He sang walking from one table top to the next before knocking off a guy's hat.

"Stand up to me you don't stand a chance." As the man got up to fight him Drac leaned down and rested his arm on his knee glaring with glowing green eyes making the guy jump backwards in fear before Drac stood up again, "It's our time, we up next! My cruel's as real as it gets. The worst is now the best!" he jumped off the table and grabbed a bottle from a nearby shelf, "And leaving us here will be their last regret!"

He shouted throwing the bottle into the green fireplace making the flames grow behind him making him look like the logo Mal used to paint all across the Isle. The heat making him think of his imprisoned father and every other villain kid on the Isle. Everyone cheered him on and high fived him as they hooted at the display of wickedness.

"What's my name? What's my name?"

"Drac!"

"Say it louder! What's my name? What's my name? Feel the power." He lit a green flame in his hand, "No one's gonna stop us –" he threw the flame across the room where it lit several candles in a black candelabra on a wrought iron stand in the corner. "- soon the world will be ours! What's my name? What's my name? What's it? What's it? Say it. Say it!"

Back at Uma's Harry made his way to the makeshift stage as the others hoisted Uma up on her coral throne as she continued chanting "What's my name?" before Harry took over.

"You know what they say, bad girls have all the fun. Never learned how to count cuz I'm number one. Ready here we come. We always get our way. It's a pirate's life, every single day! Hey! She's the Captain I'm the first mate, enemies seasick can't see straight. Call'em fish bait, throw'em on a hook. Uma's so hot they get burned if they look!" he jumped off the stage.

"All eyes on me let me see'em!" Uma said standing on her throne as her crew circled her. They carried her from table to table until she made it to the stage herself.

"Hook me!" she said as she playfully tugged at Harry's hook. He laughed manically as the crew joined them on stage. Uma danced down the stage as Harry threw other pirates off it before moving to the organ and beginning to play, a skill all the Hook children had. Then Uma kicked Starkey and stole both his swords as Harry swung from one chandelier. Gil laughed at their fun but his laughter ended when two crew members threw a net over him and turned him into a ride for Uma. Uma got off him and sat back on her throne at the end of the bar table feeling her revenge on Mal and her brother Drac at her fingertips.
