Chapter 31: A Brothers Love Part 3: Unlikely Allies

A few hours into the night, The Black Pearl reached the port of Tortuga, a hideout for pirates and privateers to come and enjoy the pleasures of life, wealth, and sheer freedom to do whatever they wanted to do, regardless of the consequences later on. The Pearl docked at the first available dock they could find, which was near the vendors and places where they needed to get supplies from, to which Spyro gave Jack's crew a list of items they needed for the girls, which some of the crew found it questionable, but he played it off that he had some ponies he needed to take care of when he got home, which they bought. Jack sent two men to collect the items he needed, Ragetti, who was tall and thin with a single normal eye and a wooden eye while his friend Pintel was a bald chubby man with some hair left going from side to side around the back of his head and the whites of his eyes were yellow and both, though they aren't the brightest bulbs in the lot, but if given a simple job, they will complete it.

Spyro had to take the girls back into Sparrows Quarters to keep them hidden from the crew, much to Rainbow Dash's disappointment, but he remained with them, not coming out unless Jack asked for him. In the quarters with the girls, Spyro was looking at the compass, watching for when it would change since they arrived at Tortuga, but nothing changed as it continued to point into town, causing him great frustration as the compass pointed in this direction, built now that they were there, he wanted to head into town to see if there was a clue or if she even was there, but couldn't leave the girls alone, otherwise at least two of them might cause some trouble. He closed the compass and covered his face with his hands, frustration and anger finally getting to him as he wanted to break something, but had to restrain himself, but the girls noticed and grew worried, conversing with each other about what to do.

"Maybe we can play a game with him." Pinkie suggested. "Maybe a game of Pin the Tail on the Pony?"

"Nah, how about some good old ghost stories?" Rainbow Dash suggested. "Might take our minds off this whole thing?"

"Um, maybe we can play a game like Pinkie suggested." Fluttershy said. "But maybe something quiet to not draw attention to us if there are other humans out there listening."

As the girls kept making suggestions, Spyro was looking at the map, trying to see where beyond Tortuga May's ship would be at, but finding nothing but smaller islands, massive rock structures, and open ocean, a perfect place for May as she is the master of water magic. However, he also knew a bit of water magic and storm magic that could counter her, hoping that he can find her ship and rescue Scootaloo before anything bad happens to her, but a moment later, he heard a ruckus outside and went to the door, finding some crew were playing a game of Liar's Dice, calming him down and returning to his friends.

"Scoots, where are you?" Spyro asked, putting the palm of his hand against his head.

On the other side of Tortuga, May has made arrangements ahead of time with some traders to bring her supplies so she didn't risk exposing her crew as they were no longer human and they acted a bit more like zombies while retaining some of their intelligence, but did not want to take any risks and did the smart thing. Below deck, Scootaloo looked out the window where she was at and saw some houses, taking it as a sign that they had arrived at their destination, taking the key from under her and struggling with it a bit before managing to get it into the lock on the front of her collar, turning it to unlock it, freeing her. As she got the collar off, she then looked around for something to help get the door open as the key she had was only for her chains and knew that using the key again on the cell lock was fruitless.

But a second later, she heard the cell door unlock, fearing it was her captor coming to check on her, she tried to get the collar around her neck again and take the key out, leaving the lock open, but turning to make it seem like she was still captive, but when the door swung open, no one was there, not even Jones who gave her the key to release herself. She got the collar off and walked towards the door, she peaked the corner, finding that the guards who relieved Jones weren't insight and there was no movement in the hall, so she took a risk and moved slowly, trying not to make any noise as she moved to the stairs, but then heard something coming from her right. She froze, her heart started to beat against her chest as she heard what sounded like slithering snakes coming towards her, so she summed her courage and risked a peak, finding one of the guards, but in front of it was a creature in white with a neon purple stripe going up it's side with a massive tear shaped head with the insignia of the Nobodies on its head, it's mouth a zipper that was unzipped, killing the guard and walking away.

But a moment later, it stopped where it was and turned, looking over to a terrified Scootaloo as she shivered at the sight of the unknown creature. Now wanting to see if it's friendly or not, she bolted for the stairs and ran up, going as fast as her legs could carry her while the creature walked just behind her, taking large steps as it went. The filly ran up the steps, even hopping up several at a time to get away, but as she got to the top of the deck, it was chaos as more of those things were above deck, some firing ranged weapons, some appearing from beneath the ground and attacking the corrupted crew while others just twisted and turned, slithering like snakes as they spun their bodies to attack the crew. She looked behind herself to see the thing was still following her, not waiting, she ran through the battle, dodging attacks and fire as she reached the ramp, taking her chance to run away while everyone was busy, but in the distance, may had finished up a large group of Nobodies and was surveying the fight, seeing that her crew was loosing and called upon the sea to wash away a large majority of them, destroying them to give her crew a fighting chance.

"Why is the Organization attacking us?" May asked. "We have no quarrel with them."

"They see you as a threat." The Helmsmen replied. "Our master warned us that when we come out of the shadows, they will fight us as they fight the Keyblade bearers."

"Matters not, they cannot stand against the power our master granted me." May said, getting ready to wash the rest of the Nobodies away when she saw Scootaloo running into Tortuga with multiple Nobodies following her. "The filly got out! How!?"

"The organization?" The Helmsmen suggested.

"It matters not." May said, furious that the filly got away. "Mop up the rest of these empty shelled, tight-suit wearing freaks and send some men after her, NOW!"

"Aye captain." The helmsmen replied, a black mist covering the ship as the Nobodies grew weaker and the fallen crew rising back up, ready to finish the fight.

On the roof top of one of the buildings, two members of Organization XIII were watching the battle, observing what was happening on the ship and the mist that seemed to weakling the Nobodies and raise the fallen enemies back up to continue fighting. One of the members has long blonde hair, yellow eyes and was taking mental notes of the new enemies strengths and weaknesses, powers, and how they dealt with their Nobodies while the other had short blonde hair with a gamblers facial hair and blue eyes, who was shuffling a deck of cards, watching the carnage occur.

"Seems the black mist weakens our Nobodies." The short haired man said. "And raises the fallen to fight again. Quite the trump card."

"A form of necromancy no doubt." The other man said. "This is interesting." The two of them heard screaming below them, finding the filly running from three of their Nobodies as she ran, trying to out run them, but just barely. "Hm, a pegasus. And a filly by the looks of it."

"Why are the Dusks chasing it?" The short haired member asked. "It is not part of the observation."

"Maybe she was on the ship?" The other member suggested. "They were given orders to eliminate anything on the ship. That might have included prisoners too."

"We have nothing to gain from killing an animal." The short haired member said. "Vexen, order them to stop the pursuit and get back to the ship."

"That's a problem Luxord." Vexen replied, turning to face him. "The Dusks were given orders to destroy everything on the ship and no other orders. But I am curious what kind of Nobody the filly will give us."

"A weak one." Luxord answered, twirling a card.

"SPYRO!" Scootaloo shouted, getting both members attention as they turned to look at her. "WHERE ARE YOU!? SPYRO!"

"She knows Spyro?" Vexen asked, crouching to get a better look. "How?"

"Does it matter?" Luxord asked, pulling three cards from his deck. "I think the game has just gotten a lot more interesting."

Scootaloo looked back to see the white creatures catching up, their mouths being unzipped to reveal what she believed to be teeth, screaming as she ran, hoping to try and get someone's attention. A moment later, one of them was destroyed, turning into light as it faded, making the other two stop their pursuit to face their attacker. Scootaloo stopped as well, looking to see why they weren't chasing her anymore, but watched as the last two were destroyed, a couple of cards getting lodged into a wooden beam next to her. She looked around to see where they came from, but in front of her, Luxord came out from behind a building and removed his hood from his head, looking to the filly and smiling.

"That was quite the risk you took there." Luxord said, walking up. "Calling for help when you could have drawn more of them to you."

"Who are you?" Scootaloo asked, backing away.

"Oh, I'm sorry, where are my manners?" Luxord said, stopping where he was. "I am Luxord. And you don't need to worry, you're safe now."

He approached slowly, raising his hands up to appear as non threatening as possible while the filly was ready to run if he did anything suspicious. He reached behind his back, Scootaloo ready to run, when he pulled out an apple, red and juicy, which her stomach growled, the two of them knowing she wanted it.

"You must be hungry." He said, kneeling down and extending the apple out. "Go on, I'm not going to hurt you." Scootaloo was cautious about the stranger, slowly approaching Luxord as she inched closer to the apple, sniffing it before taking a bite form it and taking the whole apple, eating it like she hasn't eaten anything in weeks. "See, you don't need to be afraid of me."

He took out another apple, presenting it to the filly and she took it with great pleasure, happy to be eating apples again after being locked up for two to about three days, eating nothing but Hay and bread. When she finished her third apple, she rubbed her belly, satisfied with her late night snack and walking up to Luxord, wanting to hug him, but he got up and looked back to the ship, hearing the battle rage on, but turned back to the filly.

"What is a filly like you doing here in Tortuga anyway?" He asked. "Surely you aren't apart of that crew of plant-based monsters."

"No, they foal napped me from my brother, Spyro." Scootaloo replied.

"Brother you say?" Luxord asked, a dark smile creeping on his face.

"Yes, and I'm going to find him." Scootaloo said. "A white butterfly said he's here in Tortuga, on a ship with black sails."

"Oh, I know the vessel you're looking for." Luxord said. "It's called the Black Pearl, a pirate ship belonging to one Captain Jack Sparrow."

"You know him?" Scootaloo asked.

"We had a few run ins." He replied. "Anyway, if he's on the Pearl, you'll need to head to the docks. They are just north of our current position, but I recommend that you don't go through the town until you see a large number of ships. Once you see them, go through the village and past a well, then it's a straight shot."

"Thanks Luxord!" Scootaloo said, running to the docks.

"Wait, before you go, be sure to not say anything." Luxord shouted out. "The inhabitants of this island might be drunk, but they are dangerous and might hurt you if they see a talking pegasus. Just use regular horse sounds to pass for a baby horse!"

"Thanks for the warning!" Scootaloo said, running through the bushes.

Luxord smiled to himself, his gamble for saving the filly paying off as he turned back to see Vexen, smiling like he was, having heard every word of the conversation.

"Seems the prince has a new weakness." Vexen said.

"Yes, but also risky to use." Luxord said. "If any harm were to come to the filly, he might be consumed by anger and rage, the dark side taking over and making him too dangerous to approach and to fight."

"Even so, this information could prove useful." Vexen said. "We should report back with our findings, both about some of the new enemies abilities and about the prince having a sister."

"You go ahead, I think I'll remain here." Luxord replied, turning towards Tortuga. "I want to see how the game plays out."

Scootaloo went through the wooded area, being sure to stay out of sight of every human that she sees until she reached the settlement, looking at the buildings and hearing all the chaos going on in there from laughter, shattering glass, brawls, and weapons being fired, realizing this is what Luxord meant by they might hurt her, so she looked for a way to go around, finding a small narrow path to her right. She ran to the path she found, squeezing through and running on the outside of the town, keeping an eye open for a large number of ships like Luxord said to do, but with all the buildings in her way, it was almost impossible to see any ships. But at the first hill she came over, she looked out and saw a few ships just north of her and took a chance, going through the town of disorderly human beings enjoying themselves with rum and fun, being careful to keep her distance until she saw the well, hope in her heart flaring as she ran past the well and continued north.

As she ran, she saw some of the people around her fighting and attacking each other near a building that had the word 'Tavern' over it, thinking it was a place for them to hang out, but just kept running, running past humans who drank too much and those who were shooting their weapons, freaking the filly out until she hid behind a building, catching her breath and to calm herself down.

"I'm telling ya, he's a weird one." She heard some guy said. "Why'd he have us get a bunch of Hay in the first place when he could have gone to a merchant for it?"

Scootaloo got interested in what the guy said, poking her head out from around the corner and finding Ragetti and Pintel were leading a mule just past her and she saw it was filled with hay and other stuff for ponies, wondering what they were going to use it for and who they were talking about.

"I mean, why have us pick this stuff up in the first place when we could be collecting the essentials we need?" Pintel said.

"He said it was for his ponies back home." Ragetti replied. "Honestly, I think I'd like to have a pony myself. It'd be like having a dog."

"A pony is bigger than a dog you know." Pintel commented. "And they eat a lot more than a dog does."

"Yes, but you can put them into a pasture and let them roam around on their own." Ragetti said. "Hey, maybe I could own me own business where people can rent ponies from me."

"Hey, there's an idea!" Pintel exclaimed, the two of them heading for the dock.

Scootaloo was surprised that those two were talking about ponies, but she then thought they might be talking about Spyro, deciding to take a chance, she followed the two weird humans, keeping her distance just incase the person they were talking about wasn't Spyro and remaining out of sight as she followed them. After a little while, she arrived at the docks and hid behind a vendor, still watching the two pirates until she saw the ship she was looking for, a ship with black sails, excitement filling her as she found the ship she was looking for, but to her surprise, the two pirates had stopped in front of the ship and started loading the supplies onto the vessel, giving her hope that they knew her brother. She wanted to run up and say something, but remembered what Luxord said, not wanting to take a risk, she moved closer, being careful to remain out of sight until she was close enough, seeing the pirates were finishing loading up and were heading to the ramp to leave, she decided to take a chance, making a few whiney noises, which caught their attention, making them turn around and see her.

"Hey, look." Pintel said, getting his friend to turn and look at Scootaloo as she came out from behind the boxes. "Is that..."

"It is." Ragetti replied, both slowly approaching her.

She didn't move from the spot, though she was nervous, she knew they might get her on board, hoping to see her brother again.

"Well I'll be, a pony." Pintel said. "What are you doing out here? Where'd you come from?"

"Hey, maybe we should take it on board and take it with us." Ragetti suggested. "Keep her hidden so we can start our own ranch when we retire? Maybe the captain will let us keep it?"

Scootaloo was shocked, knowing it was a bad idea to let them see her as she backed away, but a moment later, someone shouted behind them, making them turn to look at their captain.

"Come on you two scamperous bilge rats, we're casting off!" Jack Sparrow shouted, but then saw the filly, his mind immediately going blank as he saw her. He walked down the ramp towards the filly, kneeling down to have a better look at the terrified pony, looking her over as he remembered what he heard. "Well, don't you look like a sight for sore eyes."

"We were thinking of bringing her on board the ship captain." Pintel said, smiling to try and get on his good side. "We thought that we might take her somewhere and start our own ranch, you know, and rent out ponies for decent rates and then make it for richer people."

"Not necessary." Jack replied, picking the filly up and holding her. "You see, our guest said a filly, matching the description of this one, was taken from him a few days ago." Scootaloo's ears perks up, looking to Jack as she knew who he was talking about, her heart filled with joy. "And you two have found her. I believe you may have made his night." He then walked back towards the ship, leaving the two pirates there, disappointed their plan wouldn't happen and sneered at the captain. "I'll be sure you get credit for finding her."

Back in the captains cabin, the girlRarity and Pinkie were playing a game of Tic-Tac-Toe while Rainbow Dash and Applejack hoof wrestled again to keep busy. Fluttershy was playing with the monkey again after getting over her shock of seeing it as an undead, no longer scared of it so long as it didn't;t go out into the moon light while he and Twilight were looking at the maps and charts, trying to figure out where the compass was pointing to, but it still remained pointing into Tortuga, frustrating him while she tried to keep him calm. They then heard a knock at the door, Jack walking in to greet everyone, carrying Scootaloo, who was happy to see everyone, but they were busy doing their own thing to even listen or look to him.

"Have you finished resupply int Jack?" Spyro asked, making Scootaloo look over to him, shocked to see him as a human.

"We have." Jack replied. "And might I add, with a little something extra."

"Well, when the crew are ready, let's be off." Spyro said. "We need to find that ship before-"

"Spyro?" Scootaloo asked, making everyone stop what they were doing and look at Jack finding Scootaloo in his arms.

The whole room was completely silent as everyone just stared at the filly, though she was covered in dirt, she looked to be unharmed, confused as she looked at Spyro, but mostly unharmed. Jack could tell that it was going to get awkward between the two siblings, so he put her on the ground and went outside, leaving him with the ponies to make preparations to leave Tortuga. Spyro got up from his seat, staring in disbelief at the filly, but she backed up, not sure if it was Spyro as she was still scared, which he could sense and understand, so he knelt down on one knee, removing his hat and just smiled at the filly.

"Scoots, you're ok." Spyro said

"Spyro?" She asked, still scared. "Is... Is it really you?"

He knew he had a lot of explaining to do and to explain to her this was what he really looked like, but he nodded his head, letting her know it was really him and to help her believe it, he called his Keyblade, showing it to her, which sparked something in Scootaloo, recognizing the blade instantly and looking back up to Spyro as he dismissed the blade. Without waiting a second more, she ran up to him and jumped up, Spyro catching her and hugging her, the both of them crying tears of pure joy as they were reunited. The girls could help but shed tears as well, even Rainbow Dash, who tried to hide it, but was very happy for the two of them to be back together again, walking over and hugging the two of them in a group hug.

"I am so happy you're safe little sister." Spyro said, holding her as he got up. "Did she hurt you? Did she do anything to you at all?"

"Spyro, I'm fine." She replied, keeping her forelegs wrapped around his neck. "And I wouldn't have gotten away if it wasn't for Luxord."

As she mentioned that name, Spyro froze to the ground, his blood turning cold and shivers going through his body as she said a member of Organization XIII had saved her, to which he didn't understand why he would do that. A moment later, there was a commotion outside, pistols being fired and crew shouting to get to battle stations, so he put Scootaloo and walked outside, looking around to see the men had their pistols pointing to the dock and looked over, seeing inhuman creatures made from stone, moss and human skin was shambling up to them, taking bullet and continuing to walk forward like the attack was nothing. Other pirates from the neighboring ships saw them and joined in to kill whatever it was, but even their weapon fire was useless as the bullets just bounced off.

"Hold your fire!" He shouted. "Hold your fire!"

"You heard the man, stop shooting!" Jack shouted, the crew listening. "Like myself and Mr. Gibbs, you listen to Spyro when he has something to say."

"Thank you Jack." Spyro said. "Those things are made of stone and moss, so shooting it won't do any good."

"Then what do we do?" One of the crew members shouted, everyone turning to him for orders.

He didn't know what to say as he never faced these enemies before, looking at them and trying to figure out a weak point they could exploit, but he decided to take action, calling his Keyblade and running to the rail, hoping over the edge to hold them off while they got the ship ready to leave.

"I'll hold them off, you guys get the ship ready to sail." Spyro said.

"Wait for us!" Donald shouted, himself, Sora and Goofy jumping over the rail to help him.

The four of them looked to each other, ready to fight the creatures coming towards them, weapons drawn as they slowly approached when a sudden flash of light flashed from behind them, dropping one of the unknown opponents and making the others turn around to see who attacked them. Spyro and his friends looked to see who did that, but froze when they saw a pair of Snipers taking shots at them, forcing the shambling enemy to change their target to them as Dusks appeared in front of Spyro and his friends, cutting off them off from the enemy while their backs were turned to them.

"Wait, what?" Sora asked. "What's going on?"

"What are Nobodies doing here?" Donald asked, his staff raised and ready.

No one answered, but watched as the Nobodies engaged the enemy, Dusks and Snipers fighting the stone creatures as they tried to hit the Dusks, but the Dusks were too elusive and managed to dodge their attacks, allowing them to get a few kicks in before finishing off a few with the rest still fighting, a couple tackling the snipers while the rest focused on the Dusks. A moment later, the final stone creature fell just as the two Snipers were destroyed, the Dusks turning to face the Keyblade Bearers, getting into a defensive stance when a dark fog appeared under the fallen creatures, letting them rise and attacking the Nobodies again with renewed strength.

"Oh boy, this isn't good." Spyro said.

"Why'd they get back up?" Donald asked, shocked by what he saw. "They were beaten!"

"Gawrsh guys, maybe they're zombies!" Goofy suggested, raising his shield.

"Who care what these scaly wags are!" Jack shouted, getting their attention. "It's not our problem anymore! The best thing to do now is to flee while we can!"

"Agreed!" Spyro shouted, the four of them running back up the ramp as the crew pulled it up.

As the last of the Dusks were defeated, the zombie like creatures looked to the Black Pearl, watching as it set sail and sailed out of the port, heading for open waters to escape. Back aboard the Dark Ark, May was watching the ship flee from a red crystal, seeing that the filly was now on board the Black Pearl as her plan was falling apart right in front of her, seething in pure rage as black mist with red lightning was being emitted from her body.

"That two faced, pathetic excuse of a pegasus got away!" She shouted, crushing the crystal as her anger exploded, destroying three of her minions with a strike with her Keyblade. "We need to go after them, NOW! My plan must not fail!"

"But the Pearl is the fastest ship in this world." The Helmsmen said. "How can we catch it?"

"You forget, I'm a master of the oceans waters." May said, the ship setting sail. "The water will help us."

As she said it, her vessel sailed around the island, the Black Pearl in her sight, smiling as dark mist came from the ship and into the water, traveling through the deep ocean as it traveled under the Pearl. On the Black Pearl, Spyro went into the captains cabin, hearing everything that happened to Scootaloo and how she managed to escape and meeting Luxord, giving her directions and the magic May possessed, magic he never heard of before, dark and vile. When she was finished talking about everything, Spyro looked to his friends, none of them saying anything as they don't know what to say, but he knew that the his old friend was long gone, no light left in her heart, not even a speck. He held Scootaloo close, not willing to be separated from her again until they return home where she will be safe and where he can figure out what kind of magic she has, until a light shined in his eye, making him look into his coat pocket to find the list of books he doesn't have in his library, finding a large number of pages shining while on the back was the Isle De La Muerta rising from the ocean again, but something about it seemed different as it was covered in black crystals.

"Well mate, we got your sister back, and we managed to get away from a bunch of undead rock things." Jack Sparrow said. "Now all that's left is..."

"I remember Jack." He replied. "The treasure at the Isle De La Muerta. We made a deal Jack, and I aim to keep my end of the bargain."

"A man of honor you are my friend." Jack replied, smiling and happy. "All hands, set course for-"

The ship suddenly stopped, throwing everyone standing onto the ground, even those sitting were thrown off their seats and into the ground, everyone disorientated as they got up. Jack went outside to see what was wrong, Spyro following close behind, and saw that the wind was still in the sails, but they weren't moving, so they looked over the edge into the water, mostly it was black due to the night sky, but Spyro looked closer, sensing darkness in the water and when he did, he saw a red mist in the dark, surrounding their ship.

"We must have hit a reef." A crew member shouted.

"It's not a reef!" Spyro shouted back, calling his Keyblade and firing a beam of light into the water.

When the light touched the water, it revealed that it was pushing against their ship, dark mist mixed with it to give it strength, but the light from the Keyblade caused the mist to disappear, the water returning to normal as he looked up, seeing the ship that took Scootaloo fast approaching them.

"Full canvas." Spyro said, Jack going to the wheel.

"Full Canvas you yellow livered waste of space!" Jack Shouted, the crew running up the rope ladders to the sails. "I want wind in those sails maggots! And I wanted them an hour ago!"

The sails were released as all the sheets of canvas dropped from the yard arms and covered the mast, but the wind was going the opposite direction, making going forward impossible.

"The wind is against us Jack!" Gibbs said. "That cursed vessel will be on us in a matter of minutes!"

"You want wind, I got it for you!" Spyro shouted, pushing past Jack and taking the wheel, lifting his arm up and spun it in a circle as the wind died down, but started back up, this time wind blowing into the sails and moving the Pearl just as they heard cannons firing behind them, missing them by mere inches.

"Sora, May is using her dark energy to boost her water magic!" Spyro shouted. "Use your Keyblade to banish that darkness if it came again to stop us!"

"You got it!" Sora shouted, looking over the edge and firing a beam of light into the water.

The Pearl ran with the wind, out pacing the Dark Arc as it got out of their cannons range, leaving them in the dust like it does to other vessels, but May's magic was still being used to slow them down, sometimes taking both Keyblade bearers to banish the darkness from the water to give them a chance to escape. In the Dark Ark, May's ship was catching up, but the Pearl was still out running them, causing her some frustration as they chased after the vessel as no matter how many times she uses her magic to stop the ship, the two Key bearers would dispel the magic and free their ship.

"The enemy vessel is free." The Helmsmen said. "Our cannons are out of range."

"I know." She said, turning to the sea. "Time for a new approach."

She lifted her hand, a dark aura pouring into the water as in the distance a rouge wave no larger than the hull of the Black Pearl appeared, moving rapidly to their port side as it moved with power and with force strong enough to wash an entire settlement away. Spyro saw the wave and knew it was May trying to take their ship out, the original helmsmen taking the wheel again to turn away from the wave and get away.

"Mr. Cotton, hard to starboard!" Jack yelled.

"Hard to starboard!" Gibbs repeated.

"No, hard to Port!" Spyro shouted, pushing the helmsmen away and taking the wheel. "May is expecting us to turn to starboard. She knows we'd panic and try to flee from the wave, but to survive it, you need to meet it head long." He turned the ship around, pointing its forward side to the wave. "Everyone, get a life line if you can and tie it around your waist! Those who can't, get below deck and find something to wedge yourselves against! This is going to be a bumpy ride!"

Most of the crew found some spare rope and tide it around themselves and around the small wooden pickets of the ship, everyone holding onto something as the wave fast approached, the rest getting below deck just in time as the wave hit the Pearl, the ship going over the wave as the top of it washed over the deck, knocking a few crew members down, but their lifelines preventing them from going overboard and climbed back up, cheering for the prince. May, however, was furious, not believing that he actually pulled it off and had enough of the chase, using her magic to conjure massive balls of water and throwing them to the Pearl, making waves that pushed them back towards her, smiling with herself while also hoping to take a few of the ships crew with each attack. Everyone was holding on for dear life while Spyro tried to steer the ship away from the waves, but not being successful as radius of each his was large enough to push them back, making the Dark Ark come closer to them with each push.

"What now!?" Jack shouted. "Please tell me you have another idea!"

"Yeah, there is one." Spyro replied. "May is the most skilled when it comes to water magic, calm and serene, but also can be violent and destructive. Storm magic is a counter to it as it uses both wind and lightning to repel and electrocute."

"And how does that help us?" Jack asked.

"Water is strong against fire, but weak against lightning." He responded. "And Storm magic uses wind and lightning, so when a storm comes, the water in oceans become erratic, meaning that even though May can still use her spells, they won't be as effective and will limit on how strong the spells will be!"

"Ah, and how are you going to use your magic when we're being pelted by massive balls of water?" Jack asked.

He didn't answer, looking up to the sky, seeing all the stars in the sky and smile, his eyes glowing purple as a massive cloud appeared, bolts of lightning arcing across the cloud and making the crew look up, rain starting to pour down onto the ship, but when they went though the storm, the crew started to complain, some yelling for him to steer out of the storm, but he went through it, yelling for them to keep the sails open and to tighten the lining to make during the sails don't blow away. Spyro then looked back to see the Dark Ark was still following them, but now the massive balls of water were half the size and the range was reduced, despite the extra water coming down on them. On the Dark Ark, the crew aboard were having trouble keeping up as May was no longer able to use the full extent of her water magic, hissing as she starred at the Pearl.

"Storm magic." She hissed. "Clever. But it can go both ways if used."

Massive waves started to form, the Pearl not having a problem going over the waves and keeping ahead of May and her cursed vessel, making her slam her fist onto the railing in frustration. Spyro however was navigating the storm, missing the massive bolts of lightning, passing through Rogue waves, even avoiding a tornado by telling the crew to pull in all the sails, letting it pass them before continuing. At the edge of the storm, Spyro piloted the ship out of the storm and into calmer waters, appearing close to Port Royale, which he was grateful to be out of the storm, looking back to not find the Dark Ark, the crew cheering for him and his piloting. Spyro gave the wheel back to Mr. Cotton, apologizing for pushing him and went over to the railing, happy to see Port Royale and so close to be able to go home. Jack walked up next to him, leaning back on the rail and passing him a bottle of rum, which Spyro refused, Jack taking a drink form it.

"That was some fine sailing mate." Jack said. "Where'd you learn to pilot a ship like that? And how'd you know going through the wave would keep the ship a float?"

"Rogue waves are devastating to ships, like Tsumani's, but much smaller." Spyro said. "If a rogue wave hits you from the side, there's a chance it will capsize your ship, dead in the water. But, having the front end pointing towards the wave, the ship becomes a smaller target and can go above the wave, little to no damage."

"Well, whatever you did, yer more than welcome to steer me ship." Jack said, toasting him before taking a drink.

Spyro smiled, getting off the rail and walked down the steps, but half way down, he saw another vessel approaching them was dark brown vessel with purple sails with the Nobody symbol on each sail, making his blood freeze as he was ready to run back up the stairs and take the wheel again, but the vessel moved over and stopped on the Pearls starboard side, the sails being pulled in as the one piloting the wheel walked down, wearing the organization jacket with the hood up, to the rail and removed his hood, revealing himself to be Luxord.

"Parley!" He shouted, smiling as he did.

Spyro was furious as the Organization member enacted the right of Parley, so he isn't allowed to harm him as he walked from his ship over to the Pearl, Jack walked over, Spyro and Sora on either side of their friend, making sure Luxord didn't try anything. In the captains cabin, the girls were looking out the window, watching as Luxord walked down the ramp from his ship to the Pearl, stopping in front of them, which Scootaloo looked excited.

"It's Luxord!" She exclaimed.

"That's Luxord?" Rarity asked. "Hmm, not bad for a human."

"But, Spyro doesn't look happy to see him." Fluttershy said, everyone looking at the displeased prince as Jack was talking with Luxord, which the group turned to the cabin, walking to it.

"They're coming this way." Twilight said. "Wonder why?"

As she asked, Jack opened the door and the four of them walked in, Jack sitting on one side of the table with Spyro and Sora next to him, both glaring at him while Luxord sat across from them, seeing Scootaloo run up to him and picked her up, putting her on his lap, which ticked Spyro off as he clenched his fist.

"So you managed to make it little one." Luxord said. "Glad you made it safe and sound."

"Yeah, thanks for the directions." Scootaloo replied, hugging him.

"So what do you want Luxord?" Spyro asked, venom in his voice, which everyone could hear.

"Spyro, why so mean?" Scootaloo asked. "He helped me.

"And I am grateful for that, don't get me wrong." Spyro said, calming down. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to start trusting a member from Organization XIII."

"WHAT!?" The mares said, fearing for the filly.

"It's true, I am with the Organization, I won't lie about that." Luxord replied. "But in this case, I'm not your enemy."

"Big words for the guy who turned myself and Spyro into cards." Sora exclaimed, still angry about that.

"Mates, please." Jack said. "This is a parley, no hostility until it's over, alright?"

Both Spyro and Sora looked over to each and leered at Luxord, warning him that if he tried anything, he was a dead man, Parley or no Parley.

"Scootaloo, your brother, his friend, and I are on opposite sides." Luxord said, putting the filly down, confusing the filly. "You see, the organization I'm with is at ends with the Keyblade Bearers as we did try to kill them, but now we seem to have a common enemy."

"Is that so?" Spyro asked, Scootaloo coming to him as he picked her up. "And who might that be then?"

"That would be an old friend of yours." He replied. "I believe her name is May, and her new master, Malefor."

"Malefor?" Spyro asked, his heart racing. "You mean the purple dragon who fell into darkness and tried destroying his world with the destroyer?"

The girls looked at Spyro, wondering what he was talking about, which he could sense their curiosity and a bit of fear. Taking a deep breath, he waked over to get the closest chair and pulled it over to the table, sitting down and keeping Scootaloo on his lap, his arm over her protecting her.

"Might as well pull up a seat people." Spyro said. "This is going to be a long story."

May was having trouble keeping the ship from being destroyed due to the storm, which lasted for a while until it let up, the magic keeping it active finally fading as the ocean calmed down, the wind died down, and the lightning no longer hitting their vessel, giving her a chance to breathe. She looked at the deck of her vessel, most of it destroyed due to tornadoes and lightning bolts hitting it, the mast was damaged by a bolt of lightning, but was still standing regardless of the damage it took. She also looked to the crew, finding that most of them were either washed away or shattered, dying on impact, so she stood there, anger in her eyes as she yelled out in rage.

"SPYRO!" She shouted, angry and hurt. "He will pay for this! He will pay!"

"Ma'am, without the filly, your plan has failed." The Helmsmen said.

"Not quite." She replied. "I still have one more trick up my sleeve. The Ancient Earth Golem."

"Captain, Ancient Earth Golems are made from molten fire and earth." The Helmsmen said. "Even if you are successful in summoning one, how can it help? This world is mostly water, so we cannot risk having it."

"The elements needed to make one is nothing more than grey area." She replied. "The main thing is that it is made with the dark magic our master used for the first one." She then reached into her coat pocket, pulling out a large black crystal, dark magic being emitted from it as it seeped into her, making her smile as she looked at it. "Nothing more than grey area."
