A pick-pocket in Dale steals a bit more than just Kili's money.

After a good deal of timeline fudging, Frodo Baggins is born to Drogo and Primula Baggins (née Brandybuck) before a certain Thirteen Dwarves and One Wizard set in motion a quest to reclaim Erebor. Needless to say, they are not pleased with the events cherry-picked from canon or the ones that are completely AU. (not a parody, cross-posted from AO3)

After the Battle of Five Armies, Bilbo Baggins left, still banished from Erebor. No contact is established between the company and Bilbo, until 80 years later, when Bilbo gets a letter from Thorin Oakenshield, King-under-the-mountain. However, hobbits do not live the same length of time as dwarrow, a subject never bought up. All characters belong to JRR Tolkien.

Memories are haunting. They're closing in on Kili fast. Burdening him to the point where he's hearing voices and hallucinating the orc from his past, but when this hallucination that still lives crawls wickedly back into his life during a perilous quest to slay a dragon, he finds it increasingly hard to throw himself head first into danger without breaking down.
