"Base commander's log: It's been a while since I've done one of these but here's what's happened the last few months;

Starting with Overwatch, they have been quite handidly taking care of both Talon and Null Sector attacks and have brought into question if Null Sec has much left in them. They have been far from successful and their attacks have been fewer and less massive. I think I saw something about the Chief showing up to help them now, but I can't be sure. Beyond that, the monkey has somehow gotten access to this base's messenger and begun trying to communicate with me. I glance at his messages from time to time to see if anything is about Angela, but otherwise ignore them.

The last thing I saw was something about a Christmas party at a lodge in the Alps that I and Ams are invited to as a break from all the work we've been putting in. Surprisingly Ams is the one more interested than I am in going, even if it's only a tentative desire.

Next, this base itself has become home to a couple hundred refugees from the crisis and are being treated as best as possible. Some former Overwatch personnel are helping run things while I and Ams are off on missions countering Talon and Null Sec. Well, less Talon on her part for obvious reasons.

Ams herself is trying to use her abilities as best as she can despite her feelings over them. She is definitely well within her rights to despise Talon for what they did to her and what they made her do, and I'm frankly surprised she leaves the base at all. Some days she doesn't, and can't find the strength to leave her bed, which all I do is make sure she gets food and a reminder that I am here for her no matter what.

Even despite her bad days, she seems to be noticing my personality has shifted quite a bit since my incident off the coast. Apparently I am a lot quieter, less prone to joking with everyone, push most people away when it comes to personal matters, and am overall less Happy. She is starting to worry about me which says a lot considering what she's going through, but I have too much on my plate right now to worry about that too.

As for the Coast, some of the less intelligent are trying to say we should be trying to reason with the Null Sec forces instead of obliterating them like we've been doing for months. Their trying to say we are killing innocent omnics for nothing when we could be organizing a peace between them. The problem with that lies in the fact that Null Sector's forces are by all accounts drones who had their identities erased by their leader in his quest to eradicate humanity in the name of freedom from our oppression. Unfortunately they are gaining ground because most of the intelligent people are off fighting for the survival of the human race, or are dead because of the attacks.

As a wrapup, things could be better, they could be worse, but either way I constantly feel like shit and really just want to sleep until the world crumbles around me."

John clicked out of the recorder and reclined in his chair. He scrolled through his messages from his agents through the world and looked for anything on current locations of that red headed bitch, but couldn't seem to find anything. He was ready to give up for the night when he saw a message pop up from one of his earlier and probably most reliable recruits. He clicked it open and all it read was "We need to meet." -Violet.

'When and where?' He typed in and sent the message back, then began waiting for a responce.

'The park in an hour?' came the reply.

'I'll be there' he sent back, before getting up, grabbing his .50 caliber and his revolver belt, attaching the former to the socket on the back of his suit and the latter to his waist. He sent a quick message to Ams letting her know he'd be out for a while and to remember to eat something, then sent a ping to the shuttle to begin powering up.

The trip took maybe ten minutes, but he wanted to scout out as best he could before meeting his agent. He hid the shuttle on the roof of a nearby building and jumped down using his jets to keep himself from dying. He quickly scouted around, noting any structures or defensible locations should they get ambushed.

He no more than finished his once around the park when a Hispanic woman in fancy violet clothing seemingly appeared out of thin air.

"Violet I presume? Or would that be Sombra?" he asked, recognizing her from the little information he had on her.

"Does it matter? I got Amélie out of Talon and now I need out now too."

"And why is that?" he asked raising an eyebrow, then remembering he had his mask on, and instead crossed his arms.

"I know they've finally figured out that I've been sabotaging their missions for my gain and planned on taking me out on the next mission I was going to go on, and I know both you and Amélie have an interest in settling a score with Moira O'Deorain." she said as quietly as she thought she sould get away with as she looked around for any potential danger.

"You have my attention."

"If you can guarantee my safety in your base until I can get access to something more secure, I'll effectivly hand you Moira on a silver platter."

"Miss Violet, you have a deal." He replied, the first full grin in longer than he could remember crossing his face.
