The shuttle landed in its bay in the bunker and the rear hatch opened up. John walked down the ramp while removing his helmet with the nervous Sombra in tow and began making a beeline towards his office.

"Amélie described this place well. it is a fairly large facility." she mentioned as they walked down the corridor.

"When exactly did she tell you about this place?" John asked as his pace slowed.

"Two days before she left Talon. And no, I didn't tell anyone." she reassured.

"Good. If you did it wouldn't be Talon you would have to worry about." he said as he returned to his pace. "It would be me."

"My chances aren't great either way." she mumbled as they approached his office.

John opened the door and quickly noticed Ams sitting on the foot of his bed wrapped up in her blankets, hair messy and eyes red and puffy. "Hey Ams," he said softly while motioning for Sombra to wait at the door. "Did you eat anything?" he asked as he walked into the room and sat next to her, wrapping an arm around her.

"Oui, it tasted no better then ash, but I ate." she confirmed as she leaned into his grasp. "Who is with you?" she asked, motioning towards the door.

"Well it seems this facility is turning into a haven for runaway members of Talon, because that's Sombra out there. Or as I know her, Agent Violet."

Amélie pulled herself away and huddled deeper into her blankets as she listened. "She's not here to take me back, is she?"

"Chika, if I wanted to bring you back, I wouldn't have helped you leave." she grumbled at the female sniper. "Now are you sure this bunker is secure?" she asked John. "I don't want Talon somehow breaking in."

"The base code changes hourly," he explained as he pulled Ams back into his arms to comfort her. "There's only two people who get those updates, and they each give the code out to two of their subordinates who are posted at the entrance on a rotating shift. There is a single master bypass that only I have, and I can easily lock down the bunker in a moment's notice sealing it off from the outside world for anywhere between a month and longer, depending on how full the base is."

"That's good enough I suppose." she said, though inwardly admitted it was a fair bit better than she had hoped for. "I would like a room to set up my gear though."

John sighed, pulled Ams into a tight hug, planted a kiss on her forehead, told her he'd be right back, got up, and walked through the door into the hallway. "Come on, there's an empty room two rooms down from Ams's room."

"So... are you and the Chika a thing or...?"

"No. Her husband was my best friend before Talon kidnapped her and Moira got to her." he explained as he walked down the corridor. "Of course all of that happened after I got blown up by Moira's bomb in Boston Harbor, so no matter how much I regret not being there to help two of my best friends, there really wasn't much I could do about it." He finished as he opened a door on his left, revealing a room that was definitely being used. "What?" he mumbled to himself as he looked around inside, and closed the door. he then turned around, moved to the other side of the hallway, and opened the door to the adjacent room revealing a room that definitely WASN'T currently in use.

"How long have you been living here, Loco?" Sombra asked with a raised eyebrow before walking into the room and pulling gear out of her bag.

"In my defense, I spend most of my time in this bunker either in the landing bay or in my room." he explained. "Plus I usually have more important things on my mind than who's living in what room."

"Whatever." she said waving him off. "I'll let you know when I have info on Moira's next move."

"Do you even still have access to their servers?" he asked quite unamused as he leaned againstthe doorframe.

"They tried to burn out my presence there, but they forgot I made their servers and can access them easily."

"Alright, so another question." he began. "Why did you come to me and not go to one of your probably numerous other safehouses?"

"I consider anything I noted in their servers burned and not safe for me." She explained "There's a few I have in my private servers I know they don't know about, but nothing as defensible as this. Also if giving up Moira, who I never actually liked, gets me out of their reach, I will make that trade every single time."

John nodded and closed the door behind him as he walked back to his room and began taking parts of his suit off.

...

"Is she going to be staying long?" Amélie asked as she watched her friend remove the last pieces of his suit.

"Depends on whether or not she can deliver on her end of our deal." he said as he stood in just his shorts while he placed the chest piece of his armor on its stand next to his desk.

"Do I even want to know?"

"Probably. We may be able to get our hands on Moira and get her to to fix what she did to you." he said with a smirk as he turned to look at her as he put on a shirt.

"What? Is that possible?" she asked, the faintest glimmer of hope twinkling in her eye.

"I have no idea, but if not, I'll feed her feet first into a woodchipper." he said as he sat down on the bed and pulled her back into his arms.

"Either a cure for what she's done to me or a guarantee she won't be able to torture and experiment on anyone else. Either way I will be happy." she said as she sighed.

"That party the monkey is organizing is next week. Did you still want to go?" he asked.

"I think I would like to go." she said "If nothing else I can try to apologize for everything I was forced to do. Oh but please, will you go with me? I don't imagine anything will happen but just in case..."

"You realize I'm not letting you go anywhere without me after everything that's happened to you, right?"

"Thank you." she sighed as he pulled her in tighter.
