Chapter 9: The Society's Meeting
Night had fallen on Arendelle, and everyone was getting ready for bed except for the Frozen Cast. They all left not too long after it got dark outside and they made their way out of the kingdom towards the old church that Elsa mentioned might be where Black Mask and the False Face Society are residing before they come back to the castle. Overall, it wasn't too far a walk from the castle before they got to where they were going. They came upon a clearing which had a large old, dilapidated church in the middle of it that looked like it still hadn't been used or lived in for a long time. "Remember when we were scared to walk by this place when we were kids, Elsa? Dad used to tell us it was haunted and to stay away from it.", Anna said to Elsa. "Yeah. It still looks unsettling to this day.", Elsa said. "So, how do we know if Black Mask and his gang are in there?", Kristoff asked. "I guess we'll have to get a closer look to be sure.", Jacob said. He looked around and saw that Olaf was nowhere to be seen when he was just there a moment ago. "Wait! Where the hell's Olaf?", Jacob asked. They looked around and saw that he was already looking through the windows of the old church just outside of it. "There he is.", Sven said. They all made their way over to the snowman who was still focused on whatever was inside. "Looks like they're in there, guys.", Olaf said. They all looked in and saw Roman and all his men gathered together and talking. "Alright, boys. Tomorrow, we go back to the castle and claim Arendelle for our own! For the last 13 years ever since the Joker ruined the good life for us, we have been squandering trying to stay afloat. The important thing is we survived and now, our long-time efforts of survival will finally be rewarded as we will all once again be living the good life. Hopefully, even better than when I ran things in Gotham! Are you all with me?!", Black Mask yelled to his men. The men all cheered in agreement with their leader. "And if Queen Elsa and her family don't willingly hand over the throne, we'll take it by force and force them out!", he yelled. The society all cheered again in agreement and excitement. "And with you guys at my side when I am king, nothing and no one will be able to stop us or get in our way!", he yelled again. The society all cheered one last time as they were all more excited than ever. This was all being observed in secret by the 6 heroes just outside. "That's a lot of guys in there. What should we do?", Sven asked. "Hey, guys. I found a way in through the basement.", Olaf said as he pointed toward a hatch that was unlocked. They all quietly made their way inside without alerting the False Facers upstairs. It seemed like the only thing that was down here were a bunch of crates with Black Mask's skull insignia on it, but they were all empty. "I highly doubt these crates were here all these years.", Anna said as she took notice to the crates. "No. That skull symbol represents his gang. They brought these here. Good thing they're open. Otherwise, I'd worry a monster is living in one of them waiting eat our asses up.", Jacob said. "What? There's a monster in here?", Olaf asked. "No, I was referencing a horror movie about a crate monster.", Jacob assured his friend. (Reference is Creepshow: The Crate) "Why would he bring a bunch of empty crates down here?", Kristoff asked. "My guess is either they took out something that was in them or they have yet to be filled with something. Seeing as how there are no nail marks in the boards, I would say whatever they want to put in here has yet to be filled.", Jacob said. He then noticed that there was a brown powdery substance on the floor. He picked some of it up in his fingertips and smelled it. "Find something?", Elsa asked. "Coffee grounds.", Jacob answered. "So? What does that have to do with anything?", she asked. "You know what this stuff's used for?", he asked. "Yeah, some people filter hot water through it and drink it to give them a boost of energy.", Elsa replied. "Obviously, but it can be used for something else. Something that's not gonna be good for Arendelle.", Jacob said. (Based on the scene from Beverly Hills Cop) "Come on guys. They're right upstairs. Let's take these bastards down now!", Anna said anxiously. "Looks like she's right. If we are gonna stop this hostile takeover of Arendelle, we're going to have to take them all down now.", Elsa said. "We can do it. Elsa has taken down tougher things before. You saved both Arendelle and a whole city from Scarecrow's gas clouds, froze all those robots and giant plants. This shouldn't be too hard, right?", Sven said. "Let's hope so, bud.", Kristoff said. They all slowly made their way up the stairs into the main chapel right behind the crime lord who was still talking to his men. "Alright, get ready.", Elsa told the others as she was getting her magic ready. A second later, she released her magic in a huge icy blast that knocked Sionis off the podium and in front of his men. The Frozen family all stood in front of the bad guys as Sionis got back on his feet. He looked at all of them angrily and hissed, "You!".
