Yuri and Izuku sat together for another few minutes as Yuri recollected himself at the end of which Yuri sighed "Thank you дитя... I needed that." Yuri said expecting Izuku's usual deflection or for the boy to downplay what he'd done, when Izuku remained uncharacteristically silent Yuri glanced down at Izuku and saw he was covered in frost.

"Ребёнок... Мидория. Midoriya. Izuku!" Yuri called growing more frantic when he didn't get any response from the boy even as Yuri shook the slightly frozen boy. Panic immediately surged through Yuri as he realized how long Izuku might've been exposed to his ice "Валентин!" Yuri bellowed knowing his voice would reach his right hand quickly enough as he focused on trying to separate Izuku from his body.

Valentine had been inside and up to the booth in seconds "Что случилось, сэр?" The man in question paused in his stride upon seeing Izuku "Мой сын решил обнять меня, но у него нет иммунитета к холоду!" Yuri hurriedly explained already working on slowly drawing his cold from inside of Izuku.

Valentine nodded setting his eyes on to the boy "Его сердце все еще бьется, жизненные показатели мальчика низкие, но он должен прийти в себя, если Вы продолжите забирать холод, как сейчас, сэр." Valentine assured having run a quick check over Izuku with his quirk, Yuri exhaled a cloud of condensation as a massive weight was ripped from his shoulders.

"Слава Богу." Yuri whispered "Найди мальчику одеяло." Yuri requested and Valentine nodded swiftly leaving and returning with a thick blanket he wrapped around Izuku. For the boy's part, his eyes fluttered as he groggily came back to consciousness "Mmfph... Yuri?" Izuku weakly called trying to blindly search for him and Yuri shushed him "Shh... Дитя, I am right here." Yuri told Izuku as Valentine kept the boy from reaching him.

"I'm sleepy." Izuku muttered slowly blinking "I know but you need to stay awake ребёнок." Yuri replied making sure he didn't absorb too much from Izuku too fast in case the boy would suffer from thermal shock. Izuku hummed back and his unfocused eyes landed on Valentine's, Izuku softly gasped "Your eyes have hearts in them!" Izuku exclaimed pointing to the man's face and unintentionally booped Valentine.

Valentine remained very stone-faced as he replied "Indeed." And because Izuku was loopy at the moment the man's serious answer made him squeal "That's amazing! Is it part of your quirk?" Izuku asked his hand falling back to his lap "Yes." Valentine answered and Izuku practical had stars in his eyes "What does your quirk do?" The boy asked becoming giddy instead of sleepy "My quirk allows me to see the vitals of anyone in my visual range." Valentine explained.

"Oh, does that mean you can see my heartbeat right now?" Izuku inquired, one of his hands going over his heart and Valentine nodded "I can also see how much oxygen you're getting and if your brain waves are normal." The man elaborated, Izuku's mouth opened before it closed then opened again "That must make being around a lot of people difficult... " Izuku muttered causing Valentine to freeze as the boy had hit the nail on the head.

"You are correct... I am not a, 'people' person." Valentine admitted and Izuku nodded empathically "I'm not either... But a lot of people need me around, so I try my best." Izuku confessed in turn "That is very... Mature of you." Valentine told the boy only to freeze when Izuku suddenly grabbed onto the man's long hair "Why's your hair so shiny?" Izuku asked reminding both men he wasn't quite all there.

And unfortunately for Izuku's dignity, it took him about an hour to get his head straight again, during which he had been incredibly fascinated with Valentine's hair. It wasn't even because of his obsession with quirks as Valentine's hair had nothing to do with his quirk, it was just pretty in his post-hypothermia thirteen-year-old mind.

The only saving grace during his recovery was that Maliki made some of the best burgers Izuku has ever had and they had kept him from asking too many more embarrassing questions about Valentine's hair.

"I think we can both agree that we should be careful to prevent, this from happening again." Yuri commented and Izuku's face flushed, but he nodded "I'm sorry about this Юрий-сан! I didn't think something like this would happen!" Izuku groaned out getting teary eyed "It is alright сынок, it probably wouldn't have gotten that bad if I was in control of myself." Yuri responded making a point of twirling one of Izuku's curls without it freezing over.

Izuku nodded filing away the knowledge that Yuri's body should be considered liquid nitrogen when the man was highly emotional "And while the result was undesirable, I do appreciate what you were trying to do сынок." Yuri assured as it had been years since someone had been brave (or foolish) enough to attempt physical contact with him, most were aware he could instantly freeze anyone well before they could.

Thankfully Izuku's face was already red, and he hoped his blush was camouflaged by it "I-it's no problem Юрий-сан." The boy muttered and it was probably sad that Yuri felt relieved that Izuku was well enough to downplay his actions, Yuri's gaze went down to his hands in his lap "I know you have questions about my past сынок, but I believe that it would best to explain another time, when I've had time to prepare myself... Mentally." Yuri told Izuku.

Izuku couldn't say he wasn't burning from the inside out from his curiosity without it being a complete lie, but Izuku had learned to have more tact in his years working the red-light districts... And even if he didn't, Izuku knew better morally than to press an open wound when it wasn't needed.

"Of course, Юрий-сан, you don't have to tell me anything like that unless you want to... Besides, it's almost time for me to start my rounds so I should be going now anyway." Izuku said back standing up and wondering where he should put the blanket after he folded it up. Yuri, however, felt uneasy about Izuku leaving so soon "Мидория... I don't think you should push yourself; it would be best if you go home instead." Yuri suggested only allowing himself to place a hand on Izuku's shoulder because of the blanket.

While Izuku knew Yuri was only looking out for him, what he said struck the wrong chord for him personally. Yuri's concern no matter how genuine rang all too eerily similar to the pitiful words spat by people who falsely believed Izuku was made of glass because he was quirkless.

Izuku easily ripped out the roots of resentment before it could even get the chance to build, calming himself with the chills making him feel tinglingly numb before he spoke "I'll be fine Юрий-сан, I've done way more in much worst condition. I can handle a little shopping and I'll be sitting for most of my lessons." Izuku assured with the wave of a hand and already getting to work folding up the blanket.

Yuri frowned at that, Izuku had been very tight-lipped about his life before he started teaching in the South Side but what little Yuri could find it painted a very... Bleak picture. However, that wasn't the important thing for him to focus on at the moment "I don't believe that would be wise, I really must insist you let one of my men escort you home." Yuri replied his arms crossed.

Izuku quickly got the feeling Yuri wasn't going to back down on this front, but he was not going to just leave his students high and dry just because he accidentally turned himself into a popsicle, so he'd have to find some kind of middle ground for them to get anywhere.

Izuku brought his hands up into a T-shape "How about a compromise Юрий-сан? I let one of your less conspicuous men accompany me the entire time and you can drive me home yourself once I'm done." The boy offered and Yuri mulled it over before he sighed "I suppose that would be, acceptable. If you let them do the driving." Yuri relented also understanding their current position.

Knowing that would be the best deal he was going to bet, Izuku nodded. Yuri turned towards the balcony "Рюноскэ!" He called, a younger guy much closer to Izuku's age than most would find comfortable nervously came up the stairs and over to them "This is Мидория, I want you to follow him to make sure nothing happens to him until I can pick him up later today." Yuri introduced the greenette.

Izuku gave the boy a wave not at all minding the other's fiendish looks. His pale grey skin, fangs, and solid black eyes were hardly out of place in the districts and the features were about as mundane as freckles to Izuku at this point.

"Сын, this is Ryūnosuke." Yuri told Izuku "Ḫ̴̢̼̗̀̉̀͠i̷̻̻̱̠͛͗̊͊?̴̢̲̜̟̾͋͆͘" The other boy said uncertainly and Izuku was delighted to hear how his voice cracked and echoed from just one word "Oh wow! Is your voice like that because of your quirk Ryūnosuke-San?" Izuku asked walking along with Ryūnosuke to one of the cars outside under Yuri's watchful eye.

Thankfully for Izuku, no one in the districts gave his chaperone any trouble once he told them a white lie of Ryūnosuke just helping him out for some extra cash. Izuku had let others do it before and Ryūnosuke looked like someone who lives in the districts, so no one batted an eye at him, Ryūnosuke dutifully followed Izuku and drove him around without much question.

Izuku got to know the boy some but wasn't going to dig that deep when his questions started to raise Ryūnosuke's hackles, he didn't blame Ryūnosuke for it since he wasn't thrilled to have a chaperone either because it felt like he was being babied, but Izuku knew better than to ditch Ryūnosuke since that would only end up with the kid being punished.

Once he finished teaching, Izuku shot a text to Yuri and sent him his location then sat with Ryūnosuke waiting for Yuri to pick him up. Since they used one of the "company" vehicles to get around he didn't have to worry about leaving his car in the bad parts of Japan... Well, he never has worried about that but there was always the chance someone might get desperate.

Thankfully Yuri only took a few minutes to arrive and Izuku would have a very hard time missing the large vehicle Yuri drove. Ryūnosuke had to help Izuku up to his seat but other than that the drive home felt like how it did on Yuri's yacht, soft conversion with little tidbits of Russian taught during their talk.

Because of all the trouble he had caused, Izuku invited Yuri inside and offered to make him tea. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Yuri accepted and when Izuku led him up neither were shocked when Yuri's outlandish height made him have to crouch to enter the apartment, Izuku also had to grab a few pillows for Yuri to sit comfortably at the living room table.

Izuku embarrassingly only had a few plastic cups and only one that would be an appropriate size for Yuri. Unfortunately, it was a large novelty All Might mug he's had since he was three, Izuku apologized utterly red-faced when the tea was ready, and he presented Yuri with the large mug shaped like All Might's face. Yuri, at the very least, didn't seem that bothered by the mug's ascetic and instead asked about the pictures on the shelves.

Izuku was happy to regale Yuri of the stories behind each picture his mom took.

Which is what Inko walked in on ten minutes later. Having taken advantage of her massive amounts of overtime hours, Inko was able to go home on time and only made one detour to buy a nice little cake for the two of them to enjoy on her son's big day. But when she entered, Inko noticed the large expensive pair of shoes beside Izuku's red ones and could hear the boy speaking to someone.

Peeking into the living room she saw her son animatedly talking in another language to a tall man in his mid-twenties and drinking tea. Despite this being her home and having never met this man, Inko couldn't help feeling like she would be the one intruding on the comfortable atmosphere if she interrupted them, and she knew Izuku was comfortable if his hands were moving so freely as he spoke with the man.

Inko was considering whether she should leave them to talk when the man's blue eyes caught hers making her breath catch "Юрий-сан? На что Вы смотрите- Mom!" Izuku said surprised then he turned to the wall clock "But it's only 6! Why are you home so early, Mom? Did something happen at work?" Izuku questioned jumping off the couch and looking up at her concerned.

Inko briefly wondered why Izuku thought she was home early, but her confused mind quickly remembered the little white lie she told Izuku about her hours when he was younger "N-no, no. Nishi said I've racked up too much overtime and she sent me home early." Inko quickly fibbed and Izuku didn't look fully convinced but before Izuku could speak she asked, "Who's this Izuku?" Motioning to the man.

Izuku's face became red, and he avoided her eyes twiddling his thumbs "U-um... This is Yuri-San, he's my... Friend." Izuku timidly admitted, the man in question gave her a seated bow "I apologize for intruding. You must be his mother, Inko-San, correct?" Yuri spoke softly "Y-yes, I'm pleased to meet you Yuri-San." Inko hurriedly replied with a short bow that wouldn't hurt the cake.

"I can assure you the pleasure is mine Inko-San. Midoriya speaks very highly of you." Yuri said in turn making both her and Izuku red "Юрий-сан!" Izuku hissed before turning back to her "I'm sorry for not telling you first mom. I didn't think you'd be home so soon." Izuku apologized bashfully but Inko was quick to argue "No, no. Izuku you can have friends over whenever you like, I don't mind." She told him "Would you like to stay for dinner Yuri-San? I'm sure Izuku would enjoy the company." Inko offered.

Yuri blinked before nodding "I believe I can stay for a little while longer if you wish to host me." Yuri answered and Inko beamed at him "Perfect! I'll get started then. Will Katsudon be okay Yuri-San?" Inko asked receiving a soft smile in return "Katsudon will be fine Inko-San." Yuri replied.

Inko escaped to the kitchen and set the cake aside and was going to grab an apron "Mom." Izuku called and Inko turned to see Izuku hugging the doorway and looking slightly troubled "Are- Are you sure it's okay for Yuri-San to be here?" He asked clearly concerned about her feelings, Inko looked away from him.

Perhaps it said something about her as a mother that she was more excited that Izuku felt comfortable inviting over someone he was close to rather than be concerned about what kind of criminal Yuri certainly was, but the discomfort she felt with Yuri being brought into their home was minimal compared to the happiness she saw on Izuku's face before she had interrupted.

Inko would probably never be fully comfortable with Izuku's new social circles, but her son never failed to gush about them. Sometimes she would even hear genuine unintentional pride for his accomplishments with the people he taught.

That happiness and blooming confidence squashed any thoughts of her personal discomfort with the situation, and she beamed at Izuku "Maybe send me a text next time you want to invite your friends over, but I don't mind you bringing anyone home Izuku." She suggested knowing it would be better not to outright deny it made her uncomfortable, Inko knew her son was too smart to believe such an obvious lie.

Izuku looked down biting his lip looking no less troubled but not willing to argue about it with someone else in the apartment "Okay." Izuku muttered downcast making Inko's heart clench and she desperately searched for something to shift their focus "You p-passed today, right? Where is your diploma Izuku?" She hastily asked her hands flailing in the same way Izuku's usually would.

Izuku's body straightened, and he turned a little red "Y-yeah... I left it in my room with my E.M.T certificate. Do y-you want to see them?" Izuku replied and she nodded "Of course! I need to know how big the frames will need to be." Inko responded and Izuku gave her a nervous smile "Right, I'll go get them." He said before leaving the kitchen.
