Chapter 6: Family and Politics

- Flinn -

I woke up… no, saying that I woke up would mean I was asleep at any point, which is not what happened today so, when I opened my eyes, I saw Grayfia hugging me closely as she breathed evenly.

She had just fallen asleep and I didn't want to wake her up. She needed her rest. Last night she was exhausted both emotionally and to some extent physically. So I was thinking about how to get out without waking her.

As I removed her hand from my body, she opened her eyes.

"Take some rest." I slowly caressed her hair and then left to get freshened up.

I really needed a bath.

_x_

The breakfast table was full of people by the time I got there.

I think this was the most people I've ever seen at the breakfast table in both worlds. There were the Gremory family members including Chysis Gremory and their peerage members. I noticed that no maids or butlers were present. Actually, they were absent even yesterday when all of us came here. Oh, Milicas is absent.

All four Satans were here.

"Sit Flinn. Grayfia didn't come?" As I approached, Venelana asked.

"I told her to take some rest. She was exhausted from yesterday's affairs." I replied as I sat near Onee-chan and Sirzechs.

"Oh, here she comes." Venelana said and I looked back to see her coming towards us. She really didn't take any rest. I let out a sigh.

Sirzechs from my side whispered, "If it helps, my Grayfia doesn't listen to orders for rest either."

The guy straightened as his wife glared at him and looked around goofily.

I, for one, looked at them, their relationship. It was so different from what I was used to. Actually, this world's Sirzechs himself was so different. It was strange.

"Surprised by the changes?" Onee-chan asked and I nodded. "You will get used to it."

"This is… very strange. Not a bad kind of strange either. Just strange." I tried to word my feelings somehow.

"I am sure you will love it here." Chysis said.

She did look like grandma. Dammit, I do miss her.

"Did I say something wrong?" Chysis looked at what was supposedly my complicated expression and asked me.

"No! No, it's fine. It's just that you are very similar to grandma."

"From what I come to hear, I am supposed to."

Onee-chan understood my meaning and clarified. "He means in terms of personality. Apart from me, Flinn was close to only our Grandmother. Probably because she let him raid her library." She laughed. It was a part of the reason too. "He even left all his patents in her name before we came here."

"Oh. Well, you can come and look at my library anytime you want too. But I will charge a price."

I raised an eyebrow at this.

"You have to spend some time with me and tell me about yourself. I don't want to be a stranger to any of my grandchildren." She smiled and I found myself smiling too.

"Then we have a deal."

A peaceful atmosphere spread over the breakfast table.

"What patents were you talking about?" Serafall asked.

"Flinn had over a dozen patents to his name for different kinds of magic and equipment. We used this as an excuse to get books and materials beyond our level which helped us complete the spell to jump." She explained.

"Rias did tell us you were an inventor. Would you mind showing me some of your works?" Ajuka asked.

"I am more of a magic researcher than an inventor per say. I like creating my own magic systems."

"Systems? As in more than one?" He raised an eyebrow and I nodded.

"I will show them in today's fight."

"Then I look forward to it."

"Wait, there will be a fight?" Rias , surprised.

"The best way to recreate a scene of a fight would be to fight for real." Onee-chan stated. "Moreover, I think it would be good if everyone here got familiar with our abilities."

"Sounds like a good plan." Sirzechs agreed.

Breakfast was a peaceful affair this morning.

"The Naberius laboratories have been destroyed. Sirzechs and our peerages are returning. We can prepare now." Serafall relayed as she dispelled her Communication Magic Circle.

Onee-chan looked at me and I nodded. In front of me stood all of the Lucifer Peerage except the King and Queen.

"We should take a distance." Onee-chan looked at Serafall and Ajuka, the latter of which was setting up Magic circles to view the entire battle.

There was a considerable audience.

"How much distance should we take?" Venelana asked.

Onee-chan looked at me. "How far should we go?"

I thought for a moment. I hadn't tested many of my skills yet and this was a great opportunity so I wanted to experiment.

"Umm, I have no idea how my Conqueror's will affect any of the younger ones so maybe... 30 or 50 kilometres just to be safe. I will have more of a swinging room then to bring out the bigger toys."

"Okay." She agreed while the others looked a bit doubtful.

"We could make barriers to remain outside the area of damage." Serafall suggested.

It was a good suggestion… if only Conqueror's Haki was stopped by barriers.

"Barriers will not work. You will know soon enough." Onee-chan replied as they teleported away from the location and put barriers in a new place.

I looked at the ones in front of me.

Souji walked ahead.

"Young Master, I know you were holding back yourself last time. Which means your swordsmanship is much better than what I was shown last time. I wish to see it with my own eyes. Please, go all out against me." He bowed slightly before drawing his sword.

The guy was being extremely sincere. That's why I felt even worse but I needed to get it out.

"Umm Souji-san. You have been my teacher for the last month or so. I really don't mean to be insulting when I say this, really, but if I were to go all out…. you all will die." It was the truth.

….

….

….

….

There was a period of silence before the other side smiled. "Hahahaha don't worry, Young Master. We can handle it." The giant in the group, Surtr laughed. The others smiled with him.

I knew they wouldn't believe it.

Letting out a sigh, I thought of a method. "Alright, but first let me show you all something. If after that you think I should go all out, I will comply."

Without waiting for their replies, I turned and walked a bit of a distance away from them and towards a group of mountains in the distance.

These mountains surrounded the Naberius Territory and made transportation difficult with the other surrounding territories.

Spanning over a length of eight hundred kilometres, these mountains had a width of forty three kilometres from what my Observation Haki could say. There was no other devil present. It was full of demonic beasts.

"Trace On." I brought out a katana from Shirou's collection. Rengoku, the sword used by the alter Okita Souji.

I took a stance and Conqueror's Haki was released.

Sun Breathing.

Chakra Enhancement

Reinforcement

Armament Haki

Conqueror's Infusion.

Demon Slayer Mark.

And finally, I let it go. "Divine Departure."

- Rias (Future) -

"So how strong is he?" Her mother asked as Ajuka was setting up the magic circles to watch the whole fight.

"I don't know." She replied.

"What? And you let him fight with Onii-sama's peerage." Rias questioned her, a hint of blame in her tone."

She smiled. "What I meant was that I don't know how strong he has become. Last I checked, he was at the peak Ultimate Class but he was thirteen then. Flinn has grown much stronger since then but we didn't have the chance to see his full strength. Thus I don't know how strong he is right now."

….

….

"Ultimate Class!" Her younger self exclaimed.

"Is he like?" Her mother asked, looking at the scene curiously.

She nodded.

"I see."

"A sword? I thought he was a magic user." Ajuka commented, looking at the scene.

"Flinn started with swordsmanship when he was seven and created a new style of swordsmanship and martial arts to go with it. The magic researcher part came later on when we were trying to recreate the spell. Before then he practised Swordsmanship for almost five years."

They heard the conversation between Souji and Flinn and she found herself amused.

"He's quite confident, isn't he? Saying that to the strongest Knight in the Underworld with just five years of experience." Serafall laughed.

She just waited knowing what was coming and it did.

A wave of intimidation passed over them. The skies of the Underworld started shifting as a whirlpool like cloud formed over the battle ground. The young ones almost lost their consciousness even from this distance and she stopped her younger self from falling.

"This is?"

"Conqueror's Haki. It's one of the three forms of Haki. A weaponised form of Willpower. Flinn is exerting his will power on the surroundings. Under the basic use of this technique, those with willpower too far below the user will lose their consciousness. Advanced use of this technique can make even Ultimate Class willpower beings lose consciousness and can be attached to weapons to bypass all kinds of defence. Numbers don't matter when you fight against a user of Conqueror's Haki. No matter one or an army, as long as they have a will power lower than Flinn, they will lose their consciousness."

They watched as Flinn swung his sword.

….

….

Her little brother did grow up very quickly.

"What in the nine hells is that!" Serafall exclaimed.

She found the corner of her lips twitching into a smile.

"Swordsmanship."

"Don't be coy with me Rias. Swordsmanship cannot do that."

Well true.

"Normal people's swordsmanship maybe."

"This kind of power would already put him in the league of Satans. Very impressive for someone of his age." Ajuka complemented as he checked the magic circles. "I didn't sense any kind of magic except for a bit of reinforcement. He did all that with brute force alone."

"Is that even possible? That level of physical strength…"

"Would be similar to the Dragon Kings, almost on the level of Heavenly Dragons. Yes." Ajuka said and then turned towards her. "What kind of magic does he use?"

"Fire Magic, Gravity Magic and Space and Time Magic. Keep looking. He was not even using the full extent of his swordsmanship."

And just as she had said, Flinn turned facing the Lucifer peerage once more.

"Shall we?"

- Okita Souji -

He found the grip on his sword loosen as he looked at the boy in front of him.

Behind him, the mountain range was cleanly sliced.

All forty or so kilometres of mountains, sliced with a single sword slash. And he was not even phased. To think they wanted him to go all out.

Souji internally laughed at their thoughts.

Their mouths had been shut when that power erupted from him. To them, it was as if a giant was pressing down on their minds. Even now, as he looked at him, it felt like facing a monster who could wipe them out at any moment

My Lord, your brother is too strong, just like you.

"I see. I apologise for my presumptuousness. In that case we will not hold back." He raised his katana and spoke.

"Please." Another Katana appeared in his hand as he took a stance. His eyes turned crimson as three magatama appeared with the eyes, making the hair on the back of his neck rise.

Behind Souji, the rest of the peerage members took their stances as well and then… all of them flashed.

Souji went first as he slashed towards him. Beowulf closely following him to back him up.

Mathers had set up several spells to slow and capture him as well as block his escape.

Surtr, Enku and Bahamuth, the last of which was in a distance as he was not suitable for these kinds of fights.

The Young Master completely ignored his katana but just as his slash was about to reach him, he felt danger and brought his katana back to defend. It was Beowulf's sword which slashed at him.

Souji was thrown to the side, his katana flying while the Young Master disarmed Beowulf and kicked him to the side. Mathers created several barriers while Surtr waved his own sword. It's just that his slash was towards Enku and not the Young Master.

By the time any of them recovered, Mathers' spell crumbled apart and Surtr had a katana at his neck. All over. Three seconds.

Except Bahamuth who was in a distance and didn't attack, the strongest peerage in the underworld... didn't last three full seconds against him.

The Young Master withdrew his sword and spoke. "Lesson Number One. Genjutsu."

Suddenly Souji had a very strange feeling.

Were they doing the testing or were they being tested?

- Serafall -

A pin drop silence had reigned over the area.

"What happened?" She asked, shocked. It wasn't even funny.

While his previous feat was surprising, it was something she could do as well though with magic. But this… she didn't even understand what happened there.

"Illusion. They were caught under an illusion." Ajuka said but looked at the older Rias who nodded.

"Flinn's Bloodline is a bit complicated."

"Those eyes?" Chysis Gremory asked.

Well obviously, the Gremory were getting a brand new Bloodline out of nowhere. Someone who keeps directly in contact with that old sleeping monster would be interested.

"Those eyes, Sharingan, as Flinn calls them, have several levels. In the first three levels, the marks on his eyes increase. One Magatama, two Magatama and three Magatama Sharingan. They have several powers including first, the Eye of Insight which gives him a very strong perception and dynamic vision even to the extent of predicting the opponent's next move based on muscle movements as well as the ability to see magical energy and second, the Eye of Hypnosis, which lets him put his opponents under illusion with just eye contact. Obviously it needs a lot of practice. Flinn is a master of these powers."

She paused, letting them digest the information.

"Can the Eye of Insight allow him to replicate magic since he can see them?" Ajuka asked.

It couldn't be that easy, right?

Rias nodded. "Yes. It however cannot replicate clan traits or bloodline specific magic. Also, very strict training is needed to advance each stage of these eyes."

Still that's… cheating. And what's strict training for all these abilities. It's not like those with Clan Traits don't train with a strict regime.

"These eyes can under extreme stress evolve further and gain a complicated pattern. The Mangekyo Sharingan. And that's where things get interesting. Keep looking."

They did.

Both sides faced off against each other for a second time.

This time, Mathers was continuously keeping them protected which also led to their team being restricted a lot more than the last round. Surtr was the first to attack with a massive area of effect spell, burning the entire area under an explosion.

They felt the shockwaves even in this place.

Serafall felt the children shiver while the younger Rias almost shouted in panic. The older one however… didn't even blink an eye. In fact, none of his peerage members had looked bothered in the least even when they knew he was going up against the strongest peerage in the underworld.

At this time a magic circle lit up. Sirzechs had arrived with Grayfia. "What did we miss?" He asked and was faced with the gobsmacked looks from everyone.

"Look, he's out." The younger Rias shouted, attracting the attention of everyone. And just as the older Rias had predicted, he walked out from the flames with not even a scratch on him. His eyes however had changed.

"Are those?" Lord Gremory asked.

"The Mangekyo Sharingan or rather in Flinn's case the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan are an enhanced version of the Sharingan. These eyes, as Flinn predicts, give random abilities to different people. Normally I would keep these abilities a secret as they are kind of private and would count as House Secrets." She looked at the Gremory family who nodded and then continued, "but Flinn doesn't mind so I will tell you his techniques. One of his eyes has a Space Time Magic while the other has a unique Fire Magic which is as strong as the Flames of Dragon King Vritra. There is another ability which we will see soon enough."

That's… what the fuck are those eyes?

"Was he just using the Space and Time ability because the flames of Surtr weren't affecting him?" Ajuka asked.

"Yes."

They watched further. The aura around Flinn got heavier and Surtr took on his Flame Giant form, gaining a height of over fifty metres.

As if in reply, Flinn's body got covered in a crimson layer of energy which formed a gigantic armour, rising to a massive height. Surtr came up to his knees in comparison.

"The third ability." Rias explained while everyone found their jaws hung.

Over the next few hours or so they watched as the youngest Gremory beat up the strongest peerage in the underworld while pointing out all their flaws one by one. It was as if a teacher was educating children. The worst part was that Serafall wasn't sure she could do anything better if she was in their shoes.

"Shall we end this now?" An hour later, the boy stood, still scratchless while his opponents were all on the ground. Even Surtr was kneeling down. "I will heal you all first." He raised his hand and a wave of golden flames burst out from them taking the form of a bird and crashing into them all. Under the shocked eyes of everyone, the wounds on their bodies disappeared. She looked at the older Rias who looked abashed for the first time.

"It was Riser's fault."

- Flinn -

Now, what to do. I thought of something and used my Agares Djinn. My Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan changed to the Rinnegan. I looked at the mountain range I had cut and used the technique. "Planetary Devastation."

The gravity powers of the move were enhanced with the help of Agares as the mountains started rising in the air, forming a satellite.

It was raised up into the sky just beside the underworld's moon, although a bit smaller than the current one.

Now, I could make it crash on the underworld but I wanted to create a scene of battle, not actually destroy the underworld.

This should be good enough. Now there is proof that there was a strong enemy here who was defeated.

I opened a Yomutsu Hirasaka and walked to where I could sense the presence of others, some fifty kilometres away from this place.

I was barely tired because the flames thrown around by Surtr were replenishing my magic while fighting.

When I reached there, everyone was staring at me with dumbfounded looks.

Did I overdo it? Nah… I even held back from using any cursed techniques or Swordsmanship with my Susanoo which could have caused much more damage. Nor did I use any of the weapons from Shirou's collection.

_x_

I did overdo it.

Looking at everyone running around trying to explain.

The whole underworld was shaking due to another small moon suddenly appearing in the sky.

Sirzechs had called for a council meeting and press conference to explain the situation for everyone.

"The moon was a bit too much maybe?" I scratched my cheek.

"You think?" Serafall rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry. It will just sell the whole situation better. People will understand the danger even more if they have something like that in front of their faces, reminding them of it." Ajuka waved off my concerns.

"Planetary Devastation is a Sealing Technique if that helps." I supplied, quietly.

"Oh… that's… interesting, I suppose." Ajuka said.

"So, what was up with that healing fire?" Chysis asked. "Rias didn't explain much, only that it was Riser's fault."

"She wasn't wrong." I went on to relay the events of the day we were engaged, his demands and then my anger. "He then bragged to Latia and me about how amazing his bloodline was that everyone wanted it and how strong the Phenex flames were so I went and created a similar magic to prove he wasn't that special. I named the healing flames Phenex and the fire magic Astaroth." It was the story we had developed to cover up my abilities.

Serafall looked stunned at the story. "So you went and created a magic rivalling a Clan Trait, just out of spite?"

"And what would you have done if you were in my place and that idiot was engaged to your sister?" I quipped.

"I would have killed him." She answered without blinking an eye.

"See, I was much more reasonable. If they tried to pull anything over my sister, I would have made their entire house lose their value by distributing the magic."

"How is that being reasonable?"

I shrugged. "No one would have died, I guess?"

The people in the room sweat dropped at our answers.

"I don't think you should keep these two in the same room unsupervised." Falbium Asmodeus said. There were even nods at this.

"Okay. Just don't distribute that magic to just anyone." Chysis said, closing the matter. "Keep it restricted to the family. At this time, several houses will be on edge because of the Naberius incident, not to mention the sudden arrival of several super strong devils. It's better to not ruffle too many feathers." She explained.

"Alright. I mean it's not like I don't have any other means of healing so it's not much of a difference." I agreed. It's not as if anyone would be able to use my Djinn's power.

"Other means of healing?" Ajuka asked.

"Curse Magic. Something I recently developed. It's better than the Healing Flames to some extent. I can even regrow limbs and organs with it although that's a bit difficult."

"I don't think you used any Curse Magic in the fight."

"Too dangerous. My Curse Magic was made to kill. I kept things relatively safe."

"And you created a satellite." Falbium quipped, sarcastically.

"You're not hurt, are you?" Rias asked me, for what seemed to have been the fiftieth time. She was apparently scared when Surtr attacked with his fire.

"I'm fine." I reassured her once more.

"What was the swordsmanship style you were using? I think there was more than one style involved." Souji asked.

"Oh yes. They were originals. Sun Breathing Style. It involves a special type of martial arts which can boost our bodies to a great extent. I can teach you if you want. It just takes a lot of practice.

"I will be honoured to."

"You didn't use your Fire Magic, young Master." Surtr said, almost pouting.

"That's… my fire magic is a bit lethal. It's similar to the Power of Destruction in some ways. I didn't want to use it in such a fight."

"I can take on the Power of Destruction. Please use it next time." He said enthusiastically, beating his chest.

"Okay." I relented.

_x_

"... and thus we had to step in and take action without any prior notice so that they didn't have any chance to retaliate and cause heavy damages." Sirzechs commented to the reporters.

Meanwhile I was behind the stage with my peerage and the Gremory family.

"Just stick with the story." Lord Gremory reminded me while patting my head. "We will be behind you, always."

It was odd to hear such words from him… not him exactly, but rather from that face.

Odd but good.

I nodded.

"Was the moon created in the battle? Was it done by the Satans?" One of the reporters asked.

Here was the question we had been waiting for.

"No. It would have been dangerous with just us so I got help from someone else." Sirzechs said. On being asked further, he continued, "Sixteen years ago, Lord Gremory had a child, a year after his daughter. This child was born with an entirely new bloodline and thus was kept a secret until he grew up to be able to defend himself. He was raised away from the eyes of the people by the former head of the Gremory House, Chysis Gremory. The Satans knew of his abilities and called him for help. The moon… was created by my younger brother, Flinn Gremory."

And then there was a riot. It was as if the whole venue burst into a cacophony of noises. I was led into the room, following Lord Gremory and his mother.

The conference was annoying but no one could do anything to me.

It's just that grandma was a certified badass. She didn't let anyone talk shit about us.

"Say Lord Paimon, you are Lord Paimon now, aren't you, little Carter?" She asked. The man flushed in shame and anger but nodded regardless. He was of the same generation as Sirzechs. "I am getting a feeling that you are implying that my grandson is a danger to everyone. Am I right?"

"I-it is not that I am trying to blame him or something. I am just saying that he possesses a lot of power at such a young and delicate age." The man tried to deflect.

"And so did Sirzechs as well as Ajuka. I don't see anyone pointing fingers at them. It's not like they were born adults right out of their mother's wombs."

The man just stuttered without being able to reply.

"Normally I don't like interfering in the quibbles of children and letting them solve matters by themselves but if I let Flinn and you solve it out, I am afraid old Fergson would suffer a mental trauma of sorts. He was always jumpy now that I recall. How is he nowadays?"

"My grandfather is retired." He said, embarrassed.

"Then let's let him rest. As for my grandson, the only reason we even brought him out was because there was a genuine danger to the Underworld. Sirzechs has already stated and I believe everyone here can judge what could have happened if they were left to their own devices. I understand that you and several other people here are scared due to the events of today but everyone here needs to understand who the enemy was and who it was that saved your lives. Don't try to search for danger where it is not."

The guy sat down quietly after that.

Some other questions were asked before a reporter addressed Lord Gremory. "First of all congratulations for having such a talented child in your family. I am sure this is a blessing for all the underworld." He began. "If you don't mind, could you tell us what the new bloodline is? Was it from his mother or is it a new bloodline? Will he be a Gremory or will we have a new bloodline? I am sure it will give everyone hope that our bloodlines are not dying."

"Flinn is my son. He is every bit a Gremory as my daughter, Rias. His bloodline is his own. He was the first case. It will be considered an extension of the Gremory Bloodline." Lord Gremory said with a sense of finality in his tone. Even the reporter knew not to fuck around.

"Can we know what the bloodline is?" He quickly changed the subject. "I think it will help everyone know how he helped in the whole operation."

He looked at me and nodded. I knew what to do. My eyes changed into Sharingan and I looked at the man. "Sleep." The man fell to the ground.

A basic Genjutsu did the work. Really, these people have no resistance to illusions.

Murmurs ran down the entire hall as the man directly stopped moving.

Sirzechs signalled someone to awaken him and I cancelled the genjutsu. He took the opportunity to explain. "Flinn's abilities consist of a complete mastery over Illusions. This helped us take down several opponents without a fight, preventing a lot of destruction. The ones who couldn't be subdued this way were fought by us. We were able to free the subdued ones out of the enemy's control and now they have decided to join us."

Another question came after a while.

"Lord Lucifer, you said that it was your brother who created the moon. Such a feat, I am not sure if just anyone, even the champion of the Rating Games could recreate. Does this mean that Flinn Gremory is similar to you and Lord Beelzebub?"

Sirzechs nodded. "Yes. Flinn Gremory is similar to Ajuka Beelzebub and I."

_x_

"Should I kill them? It won't take much time?" For the fifth time, I asked Onee-chan but she just held my arm and caressed my back slowly.

These annoying bastards. I was right to not involve myself in politics. It just isn't the thing for me.

"Flinn's powers are a private matter of the Gremory House. I think we are all aware of the law on Clan Traits. Any mutations in bloodline will be a matter concerning only the said Clan." Lord Gremory stood there stubbornly.

"Alright, then let's change the subject then. What about the girl beside him? I was told that she is an abnormality similar to Sirzechs Lucifer. A clone of the man himself. Not to mention, there is another clone of the strongest queen Grayfia Lucifuge. Don't you think giving them all to the Gremory House is a bit biased towards Lord Lucifer? Surely he understands that there will be a huge imbalance of power?"

My eyes narrowed, understanding the line they were taking.

"And what are you suggesting we do for that? Kill them?" Serafall mocked.

"No no that would be such a waste. They are devils after all, a part of our race. I was suggesting that their custody be given to other houses…"

Was this guy an idiot?

"She was created from the blood of Sirzechs. In essence, she is a sister to him and as such a member of the Gremory House. She has our bloodline. We will not allow her to go to any other house." Zeoticus stopped up, extremely offended.

There were arguments on this topic when another guy came up. "If it's a matter of bloodline, we, the Bael House can take her in. She will have Bael blood too."

Beside me I felt Venelana move a bit and saw a deep frown on her face. She didn't like the guy.

The matter escalated. The fucking bastards were insinuating that if we didn't give up, it could be seen as us hoarding power to take over the whole Underworld.

Zeoticus was arguing with all of them but it was clear that they had planned this all along. So even with the support of his allies, the matter was not reaching any conclusion. My patience was at an end.

Lord Bael spoke once more. " Don't worry. I won't treat her badly. She could become my peerage member, even a concubine…"

It took me a second to realise the words and the next second, a word came to my lips. "Domain…"

Onee-chan felt my anger and hurriedly grabbed my hand. "Keep watching."

I used Observation Haki to watch, feeling any chance to remove his head. There I saw in my Future Sight.

Sirzechs walked up to Lord Bael. He looked completely emotionless.

The man stumbled back in shock.

Sirzechs didn't say anything and just looked at the guy for a few moments and then stared around the room. The entire room went quiet as all eyes gathered on him. Then, he spoke. "Artificially created or not, they are my family…. and anyone having wrong thoughts about them… I will consider an enemy."

I will be honest, for the first time in both the worlds, I realised why he was called the Strongest Devil alive. He also earned my respect because saying something like that was the last thing any political leader would ever do. The guy won my respect.

This is why, when he actually came up, before he could do what was tantamount to the political suicide for someone in his position.

"Flinn." Zeoticus tried to say something but was stopped by his mother.

"Let him."

I flashed to the centre of the room, just in front of Sirzechs who seemed taken aback.

The man in front of me didn't take it seriously though.

"So you are saying that we should give her to you, true?"

"This is not a place for you to speak, boy."

"Just answer my question."

"Yes. For the balance of the underworld." He answered, imperiously.

"So, if instead of my sibling, it was your mother's clone, would you distribute her away like a two bit whore?"

….

….

"You dare…" He began to shout but couldn't complete his words as I let out my Conqueror's Haki roar throughout the hall.

Most of the Great King Faction fell to the ground.

"I dare? No. It's you assholes who dare. I fought a battle against Satan and Super Class devils, risked my life, all for the sake of the Underworld and now, a bunch of imbeciles are talking about my sister as if she is a commodity while also calling my family traitors. So, tell me, am I being unreasonable here?"

They could barely breathe under my Conqueror's Haki. I made sure to control my output to not make them faint instantly. They looked at the Satans, begging for help. These idiots.

Before the Satans could say anything, I stopped them. "You all didn't say a word when my family was being called traitors. If you interfere now, I will consider it as taking sides."

Sirzechs looked stunned at the sudden turn of events but Ajuka understood my intention so he grabbed Sirzechs shoulder and took charge. "This is a matter between two houses where the Bael family made the first allegations. The Satans will not take any sides here."

The look of shock on the bystander's faces was worth looking at. They were planning to use technicalities and crowd pressure to get their demands. Did they really think it would work?

I continued. "The four hundred years of peace has made you forget the very basic abilities of a living being - survival instinct. Unlike them, I do not have the chains of the Satans' position on my neck for all of you to pull around. I am free to defend my family as I want. It's my right to do so. And do remember… if I can create a moon for the safety and well being of my family and the Underworld, I can also throw it on someone's head if they become a threat."

Most of them had lost consciousness and I backed away.

This is where Grandma came forward. "This will be enough, Flinn. Although what you said wasn't wrong, we don't use the crass language. Apologise for it."

I looked at her and then back at the people on the ground. "I apologise for calling you an asshole just because you were acting like an asshole."

Serafall –

She pinched her palms as she held back her laugh at the boy's apology. It was so cathartic to watch them encountering such a guy today.

These people had always used their control over the Underworld's economy and technicalities of the law system to force their way and Sirzechs and Ajuka always let them get their way because it was not worth it. They had never faced this kind of situation before.

Maybe this would help them realise just what kind of people they were messing with. Just because a cow allows a bird to sit on its head doesn't mean it becomes the cow's master.

This was as if they had suddenly obtained a hammer of their own to wave around at those fools.

The atmosphere in the room had cooled down suddenly.

Chysis Gremory took Flinn and the Older Rias and left, with Venelana following her. Only Lord Gremory remained here.

She took this opportunity to go up. "Before anyone else has the same stupid idea, let me remind all of you of something. The girl is a clone of Sirzechs. Which means she is every bit as strong as him. Not to mention she has her own thoughts. You people were treating her as a trophy here. Do you think any of you would survive if she was offended?" She looked at the look of horror and realisation on the faces of some and let out a sigh. "Currently, Flinn is the only one who can keep them contained due to his power. Even someone like Ajuka and Sirzechs fighting her would cause the destruction of half the Underworld… and honestly, I would rather kill you to keep her calm than take such a risk. The rest is on you."

The rest of the meeting went smoothly. Even when it was announced that Kuroka was innocent and she was absolved of her crimes, no one made any noise.

It was decided that the 'clones' will join Flinn's peerage so that he can keep an eye on them as well as keep them in control.

After getting a dose of power from the little Gremory, no one opened their mouths on this part.

Finally, they gathered in a room where the Gremory family sat.

Sirzechs went to Flinn and sighed. "I was going to handle it, you know. Have some faith in me."

The boy just looked at him. "Artificially created or not, they are my family…. and anyone having wrong thoughts about them… I will consider an enemy." Sirzechs' eyes widened. "You were going to say these words, weren't you?"

Everyone looked confused while the man himself was shocked.

"How?"

"Observation Haki when trained to the limit allows it to peek into the future, even if only for a few seconds. What were you thinking going there to commit a political suicide? The Underworld needs you as a leader. If you mess up at this time, things will become far worse."

She stared at Sirzechs, appalled.

"Really? Are you out of your mind?" Then she turned towards him. "You can see the future?"

Sirzechs just sighed and sat down. "My little sister came back in time. My little brother jumped through worlds. Just to protect everyone. If I can't do even this much…."

Venelana walked up to him and hugged him. "You should not force yourself so much. We are all here to share your burdens." She then turned towards Flinn. "Thank you for saving him from his own foolishness."

"It's not a problem. He's family after all. But I might have messed up with them. I am counting on my age. This can all be blown off as a tantrum thrown by a child and I will apologise if things went bad. It's just that I couldn't think of anything else back then." He said.

She had to agree that it was good thinking.

Just formally apologising will make them push aside this matter because no one wanted to mess with a Super Devil. At least not after today.

They will be lining up to make contracts insead.

"You did nothing wrong. In fact, it couldn't have been better." Chysis Gremory replied. "They were crossing the line and needed to be reminded of their place. As for any repercussions, don't worry. I will manage everything there."

Serafall found herself laughing. "To be honest, I thought you were going to gut them in the middle of the council halls. Your expressions were scary."

The boy looked the other way.

"You weren't, right?"

"I… was halfway through invoking my strongest Curse Magic. I could have atomized them in 0.3 seconds.."

….

….

"Flinn… after this, you are coming with me for classes on politics. Sometimes we need to tolerate even these kinds of idiots because they are important for the stability of the Underworld. You cannot go around killing anyone. But when you do, make sure no one finds out about it." Chysis chided the boy softly while everyone sweat dropped.

She didn't need to add that last part.

Then again, she was one of the people who fought in the Great Wars and survived. She might look young but she was the oldest and most battle hardened person in the room. The boy nodded obediently.

"I will keep it in mind."

You shouldn't. At least not the last part.

Chysis Gremory –

"Hahahaha see, see I told you things will become more interesting in the future. So many things happened. And so many interesting things are about to happen. Tell me about this new Gremory boy with the magic eyes."

"Flinn is a very sweet boy. In the time that I spent with him in the past few days I found him to be very endearing. He is extremely protective of his loved ones, especially Rias. Apart from that, he is a very easy going boy. Although he can be extremely petty when he wants to. Would you believe that he created a magic rivalling the Phenex bloodline because a Phenex child from his world called his magic useless while bragging about his own fire. He then named the magic Phenex just to rub it in their faces. He was thirteen years old back then."

"Oh, tell me about this."

She went on to explain what Rias had told them about the unreasonable demands of the Phenex child and Flinn's anger which finally led him to create a magic which would have severely damaged the Phenex House both financially and socially.

For the next two days, she had to explain politics and the importance of relationships with other houses in the underworld to him.

She found that he was pretty easygoing as long as his loved ones were not involved.

"Hahahahaha they deserved it. What was that idiot even thinking, making such demands of my children? There was a reason why Phenex was just a Marquis while I am a Duke. He should have beaten the dumb brat in front of everyone."

Chysis sweat dropped listening to the words of her ancestor. Then again, she had always had this kind of personality.

"I can't wait to rub it on Zekram's face. I bet he was jumping around calling Sirzechs his descendant because of the power of Destruction, as if he was the special one. Now we can see that it was because of little Zeo and my blood. Not to mention that uppity brat, thinking he can take my descendant. It's a good thing he was beaten up or I would have beaten him to a pulp in front of Zekram." Her ancestor grumbled.

Although she wanted to refute, it wasn't a lie that Zekram Bael did think it was due to his power. She had guessed that part correctly.

"Anyways, it's been a long time since I saw my descendants. The last time I woke up was when little Zeo was still a kid. I think I will move around for a while. Especially when there is such a great danger coming our way."

"I will arrange for your living space."

"Eh, don't bother. I will stay with everyone. Just don't tell them that I am coming out. I want to surprise everyone myself."

Which means she was going to prank everyone.

"As you wish."

- Flinn -

The rest of the affairs were relatively peaceful.

Valerie came out and gave statements about being used by Marius and the Naberius in the experiments. She was questioned by the Satans so there was nothing anyone could do.

The people were too scared to think what would have happened if Naberius had succeeded.

The presence of Shuri and Griselda were explained as some accidents in collecting samples which led to the creation of a clone of Shuri Himejima instead of her daughter because the one collecting the sample had collected the hair strand of the deceased woman on the hairband instead of Akeno's.

Similarly, a sample of Griselda Quarta was collected instead of Archangel Gabriel whom she was escorting once.

Onee-chan was revealed to the whole world as the clone of Sirzechs due to her age and power.

Onee-chan was named… Ria.

… my thoughts about the Gremory Clan Trait being a bad naming sense came rushing back once more.

In fact, Sirzechs suggested renaming my Grayfia to Fia because it would match. Safe to say, both of the Grayfias, rejected. My Grayfia liked the name Sakuya and was given the last name of Lucifuge, as she was adopted into the Lucifuge House.

Griselda took on a new name too.

This time I didn't fool around and named her Teresa.

It was Shuri who was the most surprising. Akeno insisted that she doesn't change her name. After some thoughts all the Satans agreed. It didn't exactly matter if they changed the names or not.

As for the previous identities we were using, they were claimed to be the ones responsible for collecting DNA samples from Rias and Sona and their peerages. They were arrested and had disappeared since then.

So even that loose end was tied up.

Now, Serafall was running around taking care of this matter. Some factions were making noise but that was all. They only made noise but didn't dare to do anything due to the Devils suddenly gaining two new Super Devils out of nowhere.

In the meantime, Onee-chan and I went out to get another member for my peerage.

Kidnappin… I mean bringing Ingvild Leviathan to us was easy. I even made sure no one would find out about her disappearance by transforming into her doctor and taking her away while leaving a transformed shadow clone there in her place.

She will heal her. In fact, from what I know, this sickness is an artificial disease of the soul. I could use the Rinnegan to heal her too but we decided not to take any risks.

Onee-chan is working on her.

We had been busy for the last three days. I was barely getting any time to sleep. It wasn't uncomfortable but quite annoying.

The bath felt amazing when I got a chance to rest. Onee-chan and Sakuya were taking care of some matters. Teresa was watching over Ingvild. Shuri was spending time with Akeno.

Valerie was playing with Gasper and Kuroka was spending time with Koneko.

I was alone, chilling. The door to the bath opened and I felt Rias entering

"Can I join?"

"Sure."

She undressed and washed herself before coming into the bath, sitting beside me. There was a comfortable silence in the room.

Rias was the one to break the silence first. "Tired?"

"Yes."

"Let me help you." She got behind me, sitting on the edge of the bathtub and brought my head between her legs and massaged my head slowly. I let her do whatever she wanted to do.

I could fight for a month when it came to my physique but today was emotionally stressful. I wanted to rest.

"You shouldn't push yourself too much." She began. "You have a family here, to help share your load with you. We will find a way to survive in the future so don't risk yourself like today." She paused as her hands paused for a moment. She pulled herself towards me lightly and I could feel the heat between her legs at the back of my head. My lower head started to rise but I pushed aside my thoughts.

"Are you still worried about today's spar?" I asked.

"Umm."

She was quite scared when Surtr attacked with his flames and the area exploded. This was the first time we got some alone time.

"I was not taking any risk, you know. I already knew he was going to do so. Even if my bloodline didn't work, my other magic makes me immune to fire. Not to mention, I had the power to heal myself in seconds. I was completely safe."

"... still, I was scared…" She whispered very softly.

….

"I see. I am sorry for making you worry." I replied.

"Things are changing very fast and I am not sure what is happening right now. Watching you fight today, I felt useless. Everyone was working so hard and I couldn't do anything to lend a hand." I sat quietly and let her pour her heart out.

"Do things at your own pace. If you are not strong, you just need to become strong. I will help you too. Didn't you just say that family helps each other?"

….

"Yes." She hugged me from behind and after a few seconds, I heard a very soft, "Thank you."

"You are welcome."

We got out of the bath and she wanted to sleep together.

"Okay."

We slept together.

It reminded me of the time when I used Onee-chan and I used to sleep when I was young. Except this time, I was the bigger spoon.

- Azazel -

Looking at the press broadcast from the Devils, he let out a sigh.

Things were really messed up. He knew they were not telling everything to the public. Serafall had contacted him and told him that she wanted to have a joint meeting for the leaders of the three factions.

Earlier today, when he had felt the shockwaves, he wanted to send people to investigate but was stopped by the people of Falbium Asmodeus' peerage.

He had guessed things were probably not as simple as a normal training between two peerages of the Satans.

And now he could see that he was correct. They were on the verge of a war.

Who would have thought that the Naberius were planning something like that. Not to mention the forces they were hiding. Marius Tepes… did they have any connection to them?

Still, the fact that the Devils were hiding another one of those abnormalities…

Flinn Gremory.

Looking at the new moon from outside his window, he could make a guess about the boy's strength. That level of power… he had felt it before. It was not at the level of his father yet but it wasn't far from the Heavenly Dragons. But then again, he was only sixteen.

There were also the clones.

A female Sirzechs, Grayfia, Griselda Quarta and finally… Baraqiel had been quiet since the news came out.

The church was also going to make some noise due to Griselda but it won't be as bad as if Gabriel was cloned. That would have been war.

He was planning on discussing the matters later on, when he had more information about the Khaos Brigade organisation but now it seems he will have to hurry up.

They had been in operation for a while now because the Stray Devil, Kuroka's incident was also done by the Naberius. It was something which happened a couple of years ago.

"Will you be joining the meeting, Baraqiel?" He asked and the guy nodded.

So much work.

- Euclid Lucifuge -

He shattered the glass in his hand without even realising, as he saw the news.

The Naberius.

Marius Tepes.

The Naberius were working under Shalba on creating soldiers, to find a way to empower Devils to face those two abominations. But they…

The picture on the screen.

It was no doubt Grayfia.

She was like her in every way. From her looks to the presence she was radiating.

He looked at the name under her picture.

Sakuya Lucifuge.

Perfect. She was just like her. No. She was her.

He knew what he wanted, the moment he saw her.

Grayfia might have been a traitor but Sakuya, she was still pure.

He would grab her away from that abomination.

But first, he needed to find the rest of the Naberius who were involved in the experiment… and execute them for touching her DNA.

- Lord Bael -

"You are a fool." Zekram said as he calmly sipped on his tea.

"But ancestor, it was a great chance for our house to get a Super Devil with our Power of Destruction. Also if there was a child between us, there was a chance…"

"Shut up."

"Have you learned nothing in all these years? Get her from the Gremory? Do you think they will just sit back and let it happen? Do you think Sirzechs would let it happen?"

"But we are the Great King. The Power of Destruction is our birthright." he argued. "And yet when people talk about the Power of Destruction, they talk about the Gremory. They talk about Sirzechs. I just want to change it."

The reply he got was just a disappointed look. "Then become strong yourself. There was a chance to make that girl a part of the Bael House but after what you did today… it will never happen. You fool, challenged not one but two, possibly four such beings and you still harbour such dreams?"

"We can force them. The Great King faction controls the…."

"Nothing. We control nothing." Zekram interrupted. "Everything we control is because the Satans let us control. Do you know why I have been able to maintain the top position of the Bael all these years? It's because I have never confronted them directly and today you went there and made such ridiculous demands of them. Those abominations can be controlled… because they want to be controlled. Sirzechs and Ajuka don't participate in confrontations because they don't want the Underworld to become the collateral, not because they are afraid of anyone. Those two alone, keep all other races at bay. Do you think they would be afraid of someone insignificant like you?"

He gritted his teeth. "They could be removed. The sleeping sickness."

….

"Were you not listening to anything I was saying? Those two keep all the other races from tearing us apart the moment we show any weakness. You want me to endanger the entire devil race for your jealousy for Venelana?" He clenched his hand. "Oh don't give me that look. You couldn't surpass her. You couldn't surpass her son. So you pushed your dreams onto your son but he was also a failure. So instead you blamed your wife. I didn't interfere in that. But today you went and made an enemy of someone who can single handedly erase the Bael House. Not only that, you made a fool of the Bael House in front of the whole council. Are you out of your mind? To even have a thought like that, how bold of you to assume that monster Ajuka didn't find a counter to that."

He bowed his head looking at the ground and not speaking anything.

"Blame your weakness. If you can't be strong, be smart. Now get out of my sight."

"What did you get?" He asked his Queen.

"My Lord, I was able to shelter a few researchers from Naberius. One of them might have something of your interest." His queen answered. "With this we might be able to achieve our goals."

She dragged in a researcher from the dungeon. The man looked dilapidated, almost insane. Dark circles around his eyes and dishevelled hair. One might mistake him for a stray devil.

"What are you talking about?"

"M-m-my Lord… have you heard of the… Malebranche?"
