Unfortunately, though Kaoru wasn't as bothered by his classmates name calling after talking with Deku-Sensei about it, his mom was not so amused and after a very loud argument with the principal his mom decided to pull him out of the school and now they were going to move to a different area so he could go to another school.

Naturally Kaoru was greatly upset about the move at first, because if he moved then he wouldn't be able to work on his quirk with Deku-Sensei anymore and he was very upset by that, hiding under his bed and wrapped up in his blankets.

Deku-Sensei wasn't just helping him with his quirk, Deku-Sensei was someone safe that he could rely on to help him with anything, and he loved going around with Deku-Sensei to help other people.

After spending a whole day under the bed ignoring her his mom called up the big guns and Deku-Sensei walked into his room and he lay on the floor beside his bed, like an animal rug from cartoons "Hey, Kaoru-Kun." Deku-Sensei greeted.

Barely raising his head Kaoru muttered "Hi Deku-Sensei... "

"So, you had a fight with your mom about the move, right?" Deku-Sensei asked, Kaoru nodded "And you don't want to move because you think we aren't going to see each other anymore?" Deku-Sensei guessed, well... his mom probably told him when she called him but he was still right.

Deku smiled and ruffled his hair after he nodded again "I understand Kaoru-Kun, I really like seeing you too. But I work in a lot of places, not just here, so you don't have to worry about that. And even if you did move somewhere I don't work I'd still come and see you, just not on Saturdays like usual." Deku-Sensei softly assured.

"Really?" Kaoru asked.

Deku-Sensei nodded with a hum "Yep." he said popping the 'p'.

Feeling much better Kaoru left his blanket cocoon and tackled Deku-Sensei with a hug, after a few minutes of cuddling and nuzzling Deku-Sensei brought him out of his room so he could apologize for being so upset over the fight, he felt rather silly about it now, but his mom wasn't the kind of person to stay mad at people.

Well she was still pretty mad at the principal, and one of the other moms at the school, but he wasn't sure if she was going to forgive them later.

Deku-Sensei stayed for another hour and helped him pack up some of his stuff in the boxes his mom gave them, the first things Kaoru packed were the nice little toys Deku-Sensei bought him, especially the hand-sized strawberry squeaker even if it didn't taste like strawberries anymore.

Moving had gone by pretty fast once he wasn't fighting it and by the end of the week they were in a new apartment building somewhere in Waka? Wakayama if he remembered the prefecture right.

It was a nicer area and the park certainly looked better than the old one near their old apartment. He did notice that their neighbors would give him a double take when they saw him or when his mom introduced him.

He wasn't surprised by that, people always did that because he looked way more like his dad, well his dad didn't have stripes but everything else looked like him but with dark brown instead of green like him, his mom got really huffy when people asked if he was adopted.

He didn't know why though, Deku-Sensei had told him that adoption was when someone chose to love someone they weren't related to like family because they wanted to, and he didn't know why his mom would be upset by that since that sounded pretty nice.

He went down to play at the park the day after they were moved in enough to be comfortable to sleep there and he was unsurprised when the kids there all just stared at him, the whispering a pointing started soon after while he decided to climb up on the monkey bars, happily walking across the structure on all fours.

Kaoru had a bit of fun playing around on the equipment and he did try to approach some of the kids there but quickly got the feeling the other kids would prefer that he left them alone, Kaoru pouted a bit when he realized that but wasn't going to kick up a fuss about it and just went over and climbed up a tree because he saw a bird's nest in it.

he was a bit disappointed that there weren't any eggs in it but it was nice up in the tree so he sat up in it for a few minutes before going home, his mom was still unpacking things and Kaoru asked if he could help, his mom smiled and pushed a bag of groceries toward him to put away in their new kitchen.

Kaoru had two more days of unpacking and exploring the neighborhood before he was sent off to his new school, one that unfortunately had a uniform which didn't induce large tails like his in their design, his mom was used to mending his clothes, so it wasn't that bad and he was dropped off at school early by his mom.

She gave his forehead a quick peck then left with a wave, the building wasn't all that impressive, so Kaoru decided to wander the halls for a bit as he looked for his new classroom, his mom had made sure to write his classroom number on a slip of paper for him.

Finding the room was quite easy so he had to end his wandering early and just explored the room for a while as other students trickled into the room, he got quite a few looks here and he even saw a couple of kids from the playground were in his class.

Honestly, he was getting sort of bored at this point and had taken to chewing on one of the quiet chew toys Deku-Sensei got him as he sat on a shelve above the cubbies waiting for the teacher to show up, of course doing this wasn't normal for most kids and he was being openly stared at by his classmates now.

Teacher, a short woman with glasses eventually came in and scolded him when she saw where he was, she gave him the normal 'you could've fallen and broke your head' lecture then she bought him to the front of the class to introduced himself.

"Hello, I'm Ito Kaoru. I'm going to turn seven later this month, I like climbing trees and my quirk is called; Panikos Distortion." Kaoru said with a little bow, the muttering picked up again about the odd name of his quirk.

"What's a 'pang-key-dose'?" a girl boldly asked and Kaoru winced hearing her butcher panikos, Deku-Sensei had been the one to help his mom re-name his quirk and it had taken a lot of time for him to pronounce the word himself even with Deku-Sensei's help.

"Panikos," He repeated slowly "I can warp what the world around me looks like, it normally effects up to six meters around me currently and the people around me feel really sick, plus it's really hard to concentrate because it really messes with the mind." Kaoru explained repeating the explanation Deku-Sensei had given him.

The room fell silent at that, most of them just staring at him, a few were pale and one or two looked very pale.

"Thank you, Ito, now why don't you go sit over at the table in the back, with Imai and Kubo." Miura-Sensei instructed, and he went to sit where she told him, both of the boys sitting there shuffling in their seats and looking at him when they thought he wasn't looking.

Kaoru couldn't help pouting in his head a touch disappointed, he had hoped at least one person wouldn't act like he was super weird because his mom had to ask for a lot of favors to transfer here for him to go to a better school, he'd hate for her think it was pointless but at least he had grown up with most of the kids at his old school so he wasn't the 'new' kid.

When it came time for recess, he and the rest of the class were led to the playground and left to their own devices with the teachers watching from a few feet away, having not made any friends in class Kaoru didn't hesitate to break away from them and moved off to the side to look over the whole area.

It was quite nice, three different slides, eight swings and more than a few other things but his eyes were drawn to an odd flash of white, red, and blue way off to the side.

Turning to look his mouth fell open slightly as he spotted a boy sitting under a tree, said boy was almost completely black and white and looked like a cartoon character if it weren't for the red and blue haze around him that made him look like he was flickering in and out of sight.

Incredibly curious Kaoru walked over to the boy and the boy must have spotted him too. He saw the boy do a double take at him, standing nearby his ears picking up on an odd static hum he heard come from the T.V. sometimes and quickly figured it must be coming from the boy.

"Hi, I'm Kaoru, who are you?" Kaoru asked.

The boy blinked or it looked like he did, the two black circles shrinking and becoming lines before turning back into circles again, then the boy hunched in on himself slightly.

"Oh, can you not talk? I met some people like that, Deku-Sensei says it's called being mute." Kaoru inquired, tilting his head, the boy nodded.

"Okay, do you sign? Deku-Sensei taught me some, like this see?" Kaoru questioned then moved his hands to say 'H-I. Me K-A-O-R-U.'

The boys eyes widened and he nodded raising his own hands and it was a touch too fast for Kaoru to catch everything and he didn't know all the signs exactly but he made out the important parts.

'H-I K-A-O-R-U, my name F-U-K-I-D-A-S-H-I. Nice ? ? you.'

"Sorry I'm still learning sign so I don't know a lot of words, but I think I got most of that. Your name is Fukidashi?" Kaoru apologized carefully saying the name unsure if he was saying it right.

The boy nodded 'T-H-A-T O-K, K-N-O-W M-O-R-E T-H-A-N M-O-S-T.' the boy assured switching to finger spelling completely.

"Thanks, Fukidashi, so um, do you want to play together? We could go on the swings or something?." Kaoru asked motioning to the playground with his head, fiddling with his claws slightly.

Fukidashi 'blinked' again 'W-O-U-L-D L-I-K-E T-O, B-U-T C-A-N-T G-O T-H-E-R-E.' the boy told him.

"Huh? Why not?" Kaoru questioned.

'My S-T-A-I-C C-A-U-S-E T-O-O M-A-N-Y P-E-O-P-L-E S-I-C-K.' Fukidashi explained.

Kaoru blinked confused then his eyes went wide as he got a thought "Oh do you mean that humming? That makes most people feel sick or something?" Kaoru guessed and Fukidashi nodded.

"Huh, I guess I must be kind of immune to it or something because of my own quirk, it causes people to feel sick too." Kaoru commented a bit surprised.

Fukidashi blinked then signed 'Q-U-I-R-K?' looking a touch confused.

"Oh, yeah. My quirk is called; Panikos Distortion, I'm not using it right now, but it makes people feel super sick, see funny things, and there is this humming that's much louder and sharper. Deku-Sensei said it was tetanus or something like that." Kaoru told the boy.

Fukidashi blinked again 'O-U-R Q-U-I-R-K-S S-A-M-E?' he asked hands trembling slightly.

"Yeah, I think they are, that's cool! I haven't met anyone with a quirk like mine before." Kaoru said grinning.

"Hey, I know you said you can't go over there but I know some games we can play over there by the wall, do you want to try them?" Kaoru asked and Fukidashi quickly nodded, the single curly hair bobbing as he did so.

"Great! This first one is pretty easy but Deku-Sensei told me that it would-" Kaoru told the boy, explaining the rules as they walked over to the wall to play by themselves.

Manga puffed as he ran down to his brother's school, he had just finished school himself when his dad texted him Manga would have to pick Keiren up himself today, something about the head editor's laptop crashing or something keeping him at work.

He wasn't too sure given his dad was the worst at texting despite having a word-based quirk too, honestly, he didn't know how his dad was so bad at it, at least he sent him some yen to go out to eat meaning he likely wouldn't be home in time for dinner either.

If that meant he didn't have to cook tonight he'd take it, however that did mean Manga had to book it the second he read the text because their schools were half an hour away from each other and he'd rather not have the school try to call dad again.

He tried to remind himself this would only be a good thing and count as hero training went his legs started to ache and pushed himself to continue on, for Keiren if nothing else.

Manga only stopped his jog when he was outside the gates and leaned on the wall as he tried to catch his breath, panting heavily and making little visible puffs of air every once and a while.

Once he was sure he wouldn't kill over he looked around and was a bit confused when he didn't spot Keiren near the entrance, and he slowly walked closer to the gate to peek inside the grounds.

He didn't take long to find his brother sitting under the large tree next to the playground, the glitched appearance of his quirk was highly visible and quite easy to pick out, and while he knew his brother liked sitting under the tree, he was quite surprised to see another kid was playing with him under the tree.

Manga didn't recognize the boy and given the super obvious mutation he was sporting Manga guessed the kid had to be new since he was sure he'd remember a kid like that but it wasn't his very different appearance that surprised him the most about the boy, no it was the fact the boy was playing patty-cake with Keiren that left him stumped.

Keiren's quirk was passive and that meant it was pretty hard for anyone to touch Keiren without freaking out about it, his quirk gave him some tolerance to the physical spasms it caused because using his own caused quite a few itself and he didn't have a 'head' to ache, but here was this kid happily playing the game with his brother without even so much as flinching when Keiren's hands touched his.

*Maybe his quirk counters Keiren's in some way?* Manga pondered scratching the top of his bubble, but he ultimately shrugged it off as quirks being weird like that and walked over to the two boys.

One of the new kid's ears twitched flicking towards him and the two stopped their game to turn to face him, Keiren smiled and waved to him then turned back to the other boy finger spelling 'T-H-A-N-K-S F-O-R S-T-A-Y W-I-T-H me K-A-O-R-U, C U T-O-M-O-R-R-O-W.' before he grabbed his backpack and ran over to him.

"Hiya Kei, Pops has work so were having curry tonight." he told the boy and Keiren nodded grabbing onto his pant leg to follow him to the small hole-in-the-wall restaurant they always go to when dad was out working "You have a good day?" he asked as they walked.

Keiren nodded then started signing so Manga slowed down so he wouldn't out pace his brother 'Yeah, got to paint a nice picture during art. And I made a friend too!' Keiren gleefully exclaimed.

"Really, was it that kid I saw you sitting with? Don't think I've seen them before." Manga commented and Keiren nodded again.

'Yes, that's K-A-O-R-U. He moved here from H-O-K-K-A-I-D-O, he's super nice and his quirk is just like mine, so my quirk doesn't make him feel sick.' Keiren explained.

If Manga had more human like eyes he would have blinked *Hokkaido? That's like on the other side of the island.* he thought slightly confused "His quirk's like yours?" Manga chose to ask.

'Well that's what K-A-O-R-U said, his isn't passive and he wouldn't show me because he didn't want me to throw up, he said if I really wanted to see his quirk I'd have to get P-O-P-S permission because he could make me super sick.' Keiren elaborated.

"I see, that's probably for the best Kei. He's right that you might not react well to his quirk, he's smarter than most kids your age for thinking about that sort of thing could be bad for you instead of just doing it, you could have said something by accident and well... " Manga trailed off looking away.

Keiren, a bit dis-heartened nodded 'I like K-A-O-R-U, can he come over to our house? He said he was going to ask his mom if I could go over to his house, but they haven't finished moving in yet.' Keiren asked.

Manga shrugged "Sure, just make sure to ask his parents beforehand, wouldn't want her worrying where he ended up." he advised, and his brother nodded again.

"Now do you want shrimp rolls or those little dumplings for your side? We're almost there." Manga asked and Keiren scrunched up his nose and gave him a look.

"Right, right. You want both, what was I thinking." he teased rubbed Keiren's head, forcing his arm to not jerk and jolt despite the sudden impulses from Keiren's quirk.
