Mirio liked to think that he had long since gotten over his embarrassment at being naked, sure he was embarrassed during the festival but that was different since he had felt second-hand embarrassment for the poor girl he had been fighting but that was about it.

Now however embarrassment was the only thing he could feel at the moment as he sat in Recovery Girl's office head buried in his hands.

It wasn't the first time someone thought of using a water bucket prank on him but it had never been this bad before.

Falling outside in the hall after class and people filling the hall after hearing the commotion wasn't one of his finer moments and it had taken everything in him to keep from using his quirk again and falling through the floor again.

It was bad enough his quirk was triggered in the first place but to have such an epic mess up in front of everyone, which was not one of his best moments but he could've maybe scraped together some of his dignity after the fact.

But god did it feel so much worse then when he was nine, of course he had quite a few more friends than back then and while he was used to being naked in front of them, after such an awful fail was another thing.

And while he knew Miyake meant no harm by it he certainly felt like a child when Mikaye carried him down to Recovery Girl's office in nothing but the blanket Deku-San wrapped him in.

The scolding Recovery Girl gave him certainly didn't help him feel better about this whole thing. At least Nejire-Chan and Haya-San had grabbed his clothes so he hadn't been naked for long after Recovery Girl examined him and cleared him.

"Seriously guys, it's not that bad." Mirio insisted after he finished getting re-dressed, well mostly, his blazer was soaked and Recovery Girl gave him some serious side eye when tried to put it back on.

Miyake and Oz both gave him a look at that "The hell it ain't," Oz spat "With how tall ass those doors are the bucket could've caved your head in if your quirk didn't activate in that moment." Oz angrily pointed out his hair squirming.

Mirio quickly avoided Oz's eyes but couldn't hide his flinch. He knew Oz was right but he didn't like to think about it, much less think that his classmates would be so cruel.

No, Mirio was one hundred percent certain that they had absolutely no intention to hurt him, sure Ueno and his buddies were a fair bit... harsher after the sports festival but he kind of expected that, especially since Sunny had really done a number on his hand.

And yeah Ueno was always really outspoken about Mirio's friends before but there was no way he'd…

Ueno was a hero student just like all of them, he'd never purposely try to hurt him just because they had their disagreements.

"Really guys I think you're overreacting a bit, it's not the first time people have dropped a bucket of water on my head." Mirio replied trying his hardest to diffuse the situation.

Nejire huffed at that and if anything looked even more crossed as she crossed her arms "That doesn't make what they did any better Mirio-Chan! Ooh when I get my hands on those, those, cretans I'll blast them into next week!" she exclaimed the air around her negatively charged with her ire and she couldn't keep from pacing.

Feeling his heart lurch, Mirio turned to his other three friends since they almost always were a voice of reason, if not peaceful conflict resolution.

Unfortunately Haya looked just as upset as Oz was. Miyake for all that his face wasn't expressive was clearly silently seething as his claws had torn into his uniform from how tightly they dug into his arms.

And Sunny, his oldest and dearest friend was staring a hole into the floor.

Mirio internally flailing as he tried to think of a way to stop his friends from going on some kind of misplaced vendetta in his honor or something was about to try to placate them again.

"I should've bitten him harder."

Almost instantly all of their heads whipped over to Sunny, their shock making them momentarily forget their anger to stare at the timid boy, Mirio very much included because he would've never thought Sunny would ever in his life say something like that.

Sunny must've realized he said that out loud and quickly slapped his hands on his mouth and turned rather pale while Mirio was busy trying to pick his jaw up off the floor.

All was quiet for a second, then Oz snorted with a smirk "Well you heard him, even the cannibal says we should fuck him up. That's basically a signed and stamped seal of approval in my book." Oz proclaimed wrapping an arm around Sunny's shoulders with a demented grin on his face while Sunny turned bright red and started sputtering.

"Yes!" Nejire quickly agreed chomping at the bit to do something "We need to do something big to make sure they never think about so much as looking in Mirio-Chan's direction ever again." she added.

"N-Nejire-Chan- " Mirio said about to try and dissuade them but feeling things were just going to keep spiraling no matter what he said.

"There's no need for us to do anything Hado-Chan." Miyake spoke interrupting him and silencing them all.

Nejire frowned "Why not? Bullies like them won't just stop Miyake-Chan!" Nejire questioned her hands on her hips and Mirio flinched when she labeled Ueno and his friends bullies.

They really weren't, they were crass and didn't bother hiding their opinions on… delicate topics but that didn't make them bullies.

Miyake however didn't contradict her accusation and instead let go of his arms letting them fall to his sides "Because, Midoriya-Kun will make sure that they never step foot in a hero school again once they're fully and officially expelled." Miyake answered shocking them.

"What?" Haya said back.

Miyake gave a strained thrill "I would've preferred to get my claws on them myself... but I'm certain that Midoriya-Kun has already ensured that the three of them will be expelled by this time tomorrow and blacklisted from all the hero schools in the country." Miyake commented seemingly begrudgingly accepting of the punishment.

"Wha- How?" Mirio couldn't help exclaiming.

Miyake stared at them for a second then pulled back his lips in the closest thing Mirio had ever seen that would've been generously called a 'smile' on his muzzle.

"Midoriya-Kun has his ways." Miyake ominously told them and Mirio felt himself shiver and both very grateful Miyake didn't try to 'smile' more and that his heart might as well make itself at home with his guts from how fast it dropped.

"But he shouldn't do that, not over something stupid like this." Mirio protested only for Miyake to give him a look.

"Mirio, at best they did this to humiliate you, and at worst they expected to seriously harm you. This is not stupid and they would be lucky if you didn't press criminal charges for assault." Miyake told him.

A lurch in his stomach forced him to chuckle "C-C'mon Miyake, it's not that b- " Mirio tried to say, everything inside him squirming uncomfortably under his skin.

"Fuck no, don't try to down play this Stripper. What they did was fucked and they shouldn't be allowed to be heroes if their pulling crap like this at our age." Oz snapped at him.

But it wasn't!

It was just- just boys messing around!

His classmates just weren't as mature as they were, and they don't know how badly he could've been hurt.

They wouldn't actually hurt him, mess around with him and his stuff sure but they wouldn't try to harm him and what they did wasn't as bad as they were making out.

It was just a bucket of water for Pete's sake!

Things like this just happen, they were all kids and super stressed from their intense course work so of course they might go a bit too far sometimes but they didn't mean it, and it wasn't like most of his classmates were much better.

If Ueno and his friends were bullies then his whole class had to be full of them and there's no way U.A. could ever have a class full bullies.

That was just impossible.

His friends were just, just…

Overreacting, yes they had to be overreacting, it was the only logical answer.

Yeah that was what was happening, and it probably didn't help that Mirio was stressed from doing the intense workout Sir had recommended for him to follow after his internship ended, he was overly sensitive to all the comments his classmates normally made.

It was normal for some people to not get along and even when they did they'd rib each other, but all the stress was making him more affected by them and his friends were going to mistake that for something else naturally, especially Sunny since they shared a room now.

But that's all it was, stress.

His classmates weren't bullying him, they weren't.

They couldn't be.

Surely someone else would've noticed before now if they were bullying him, there's no way that his whole class could be bullying him under everyone's nose, right?

How ridiculous would that be?

Nineteen teens bullying one with multiple heroes watching them and not noticing?

There would be no way, it just wasn't possible.

Something like that, it just... couldn't happen.

"Mirio."

Mirio jumped when Sunny called his name and was about to apologize for spacing out on his friends, something that was happening far more often than he preferred, but cut himself off when he realized he wasn't where he thought he was.

Mirio was sat in Miyake's lap and had been wrapped up in Miyake's arms, Sunny kneeling in front of them his hands coming up to cup Mirio's face and their other three friends hovering anxiously over them.

"Wha- " Mirio tried to speak but felt something wet on his face and wondered why Sunny's hands were wet.

"D- Don't, Mirio please don't keep pretending that you're okay." Sunny said and Mirio almost wanted to recoil at how concerned Sunny sounded.

"Sunny- " Mirio said but Oz cut him off.

"No. Don't even think about telling us that you're okay Strip- Mirio, you just had a mental breakdown because we were talking about how you're being bullied." Oz told him, his face an odd mix of angry, concerned, and guilty.

Mirio tensed at that and his mouth opened to object "Mirio," Haya spoke kneeling down next to Sunny "It's okay to, not be at your best all the time. Everyone stumbles, god knows how often we have to smack some sense into Oswald." Haya continued gently taking his hand in both of hers.

Mirio's insides curled up before twisting themselves into even worse knots and Mirio ducked his head, only noticing now that the liquid on his cheeks was actually because he was crying "I- I'm not... " Mirio muttered.

"Mirio," Miyake said this time and Mirio felt he might've gotten annoyed about how much he was getting interrupted today but if he was being honest he was too tired to feel anything more than exhausted.

"I... I'm just, I c-can't." Mirio whispered even more tears welling up and spilling down his face.

"I can't handle this, I've tried to. I've tried so hard to deal with everything but I just can't. At first it was just some comments here or there but then you guys were getting better and better while I was still floundering. And I got so bitter about it but I thought it would get better after Sir started helping me with my quirk but I was still so envious and, and... " Mirio said the words just spilled out almost uncontrollably until Sunny hugged him.

"I'm sorry Sunny." Mirio muttered.

Sunny hugged him tighter "It's okay, I... We'll find a way to handle this." Sunny replied.
