"Dragon's Roar!" Dynasmon fired twin spiraling lasers that Gallantmon blocked with his shield.
"Lightning Joust!" The Royal Knight fired a bolt of lightning back that Dynasmon dodged.
"Vergine Bomba!" Kazemon rammed her rear into Argomon. "Fiorente Furiata!" She kicked him repeatedly until a vine tied her up and slammed her into the ground.
"Frozen Tundra!" Kumamon leapt overhead and turned into an icicle.
"Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon descended with him, but they were both whacked out of the air.
"Hurricane!"
"Flame Storm!" Yukimura and Rikka unleashed wind and flame on Argomon. When it died down, the monster was gone.
"Did we get him?" Himari asked. Her answer was green tentacles binding her and Kouta from behind. "Eek!"
"What is this?!" Kouta grunted.
"No! Kouta!"
"Himari!" Rikka and Yukimura rushed to their Tamers but once the vines holding them glowed gold, they slackened. "What…? My Bond with Himari is…"
Both Tamers dropped to their knees. "What's happening…?" Himari murmured.
"Targets captured." Argomon said. "Elimination- A metal claw on a cable zoomed in slicing the vines off. "Error."
Machinedramon pulled his claw back. "We have been informed of your ability to sabotage human bonds with Digimon."
"That trick won't save you here." Zero said opening a monitor. "Machinedramon. Logon."
"Roger." The Digimon pointed his twin cannons forward. "Infinity Cannon!"
Argomon held his hands up catching the golden bursts of energy as he was pushed back. "Never thought I'd see the day where a Machinedramon of all things would save me." Kouta muttered.
"No kidding." Himari added. "But forget that! Rikka, let's back him up!"
"Yukimura! Go all out!"
"Muscle Charge!" Both Digimon enhanced their power. "Shield of the Just!"
"Fire Tornado!" They both attacked with all their might hitting Argomon square in the chest.
"Lightning Blitz!" Beetlemon shot lighting at Argomon's shin.
"Hurricane Wave!"
"Blizzard Blaster!" Kumamon and Kazemon joined him and Argomon slumped. Zero activated a program boosting Machinedramon's cannon fire and the blew Argomon off the mountain.
"And that's how it's done!" Himari rooted.
"It's too early to celebrate! That Digimon is too dangerous for us to let it get away!" Zero said. "Machinedramon, we're going after him! We'll leave things here to the others!"
"Affirmative." Machinedramon crouched so Zero could climb on. He then leapt off the mountain.
"Be careful!" Kouta called.
Arata, Keisuke and their Digimon faced Arcadiamon along with Agunimon, Arbormon, Ranamon, and Loweemon. "Follow Keisuke's lead on this one." Arata said. "He's the expert in fighting Arcadiamon."
"Uh… sure." Keisuke said. "If he starts glowing, keep your distance."
"That's all?" Loweemon asked.
"I never fought this form of Arcadiamon."
"Don't worry." TyrantKabuterimon said. "We faced his stronger forms before. And this time we're stronger than ever."
"Yeah, for the Arcadiamon slaying pros, this'll be a cakewalk!" PileVolcamon grinned.
"Well, if you boys can do it, so can I!" Diaboromon replied. "Mach Rush!" He rammed into Arcadiamon.
"Destruction Cannon!" Arcadiamon blasted him in response.
"Ranamon, Arbormon, keep him still!" Agunimon ordered running around Arcadiamon.
"You got it boss man!" Ranamon replied.
"Heads up!" Keisuke yelled.
Arcadiamon roared and charged at the group. "Prison Fist!" Everyone backed away as it punched into the ground.
"Blockade Seed!" Arbormon shot a seed into the ground in front of Arcadiamon's arm that grew ivy tying its arm to the ground. "Ranamon, immobilize the legs!"
"Whipping Wave!" Ranamon raised her arms and a whirlpool swallowed Arcadiamon's lower body.
Loweemon ran up his arm. "Shadow Lance!" He slashed at the beast's shoulder.
Agunimon circled around behind the beast. "Pyro Darts!"
Arcadiamon took a few flame pellets to the back before he ripped his arm free and grabbed Ranamon releasing the water's hold on him. He threw the Warrior of Water into Agunimon. Arbomon leapt over him and sent all four limbs at him. "Roundhouse Punt!"
"Cross Counter!" Arcadiamon blocked the hit then threw a punch into him.
"Shadow Meteor!"
"Destruction Cannon!" Two dark attacks collided making a dust cloud blinding Loweemon. "Prison Fist!" The Warrior of Darkness gasped then jumped back avoiding a fist. Arcadiamon was about to chase him when he felt a grip on his ankle.
PileVolcamon was holding his leg. "Alright, no more of that." He swung him around and threw him across the mountain top. "Volcanic Driver!" He landed on him with a meteor while he was down.
"Ocean Wave!" MetalSeadramon knocked him into the air with water.
"Diaboromon, let's drop his guard!" Arata said.
"Guard Break Field!"
"All yours Keisuke!"
"Got it!" Keisuke activated an ATK Boost as TyrantKabuterimon rushed in and slashed Arcadiamon repeatedly in the air.
"Crescent Leaf!" He slammed the cursed Digimon into the ground. "Thunder Fall!" A bolt of lightning crashed into him.
Arcadiamon got up and hissed. It then leapt away. "Yeah, you better run!" MetalSeadramon grinned.
"Ha! This guy's nothing compared to what he was when we last fought him!" PileVolcamon grinned.
Ranamon grunted as she stood up. "If that's "nothing" to you, I'd hate to see what he's like at full power."
"Let's hope we never find out." Agunimon said.
"Spiral Masquerade!"
"Guard Charge Field!" Magnamon shielded himself form a barrage of Crusadermon's slashes then caught her ribbon sword and swung her up then into the ground. "S-Gold Solar Beam!" He exploded with golden light.
"Breath of Wyvern!" Dynasmon sent a mist dragon forward.
"Shield of the Just!" Gallantmon fired a golden wave from his shield that clashed with the dragon. It made an explosion that pushed them both back.
Dynasmon and Crusadermon stood side by side. "Hmph. Still training I see." Dynasmon said.
"Of course. Unlike you turncoats we strive for the protection of this world." Magnamon replied.
"Protecting this world isn't enough." Crusadermon replied. "Nothing stays the same forever. There come times when change is necessary. And those who cannot keep up with change are left behind. It is the natural order."
"Oh yeah?" Keisuke asked as he aproached with his Digimon, Arata, Diaboromon, Agunimon, Ranamon, Arbomon, and Loweemon. "We'll we're not letting you trample the lives of others for your twisted sense of "progress"."
"That's right." Kouta said as he joined them with Himari, their Digimon, Kazemon, Beetlemon, and Kumamon. "This world might not be ours, but there are innocents suffering in it because of you. And we won't let you get away with it!"
Arata folded his arms with a grin. "Looks like the tables have turned. You two wanna try taking us all alone?"
Crusadermon growled. "It seems both Arcadiamon and Argomon still have some work to do…"
"We cannot leave without that core!" Dynasmon said.
"Leave that to me." Both Knights turned around to see BlitzGreymon with Brother Sorrow riding on his back.
"You…!" Dynasmon gasped.
"Oh, great." Himari sighed. "All the freaks are coming out of the woodwork."
Brother Sorrow stared at the Royal Knights. "I will retrieve the core. You two should fall back. The Next Order cannot lose you both."
"Are you daft? If Crusadermon and I can't handle all this, what makes you think you can?" Dynasmon asked.
"I have something I must do. And I have planned how to carry out this mission." the masked man replied. "Trust me."
Crusadermon nodded. "Very well. Thank you, my friend. We leave this in your capable hands."
Dynasmon turned to her. "Crusadermon!"
"Brother Sorrow is no idle boaster. And he is capable of things we are not. Come. We're falling back."
Dynasmon watched his fellow knight fly off before looking at Brother Sorrow. "I do hope you know what you're doing."
"I promise you I know exactly what I am doing."
As Dynasmon flew off Keisuke and the others eyed the masked human. "Somebody's confident." Himari said. "And you think you can beat all of us on your own?"
"Huh. You talk big considering how our last bout ended." Brother Sorrow glanced at the team in front of him. "I have analyzed each of you. I could best any of you individually. However, I am not arrogant to the fact that I am outnumbered. Besides, my mission is to obtain the Soverign's Digicore. And with your friends already in the chamber of it I am pressed for time. Fortunately…" He slowly lifted his hand. "In this world, time is always on my side."
"What's he doing?" Gallantmon asked as they all stood ready to fight.
"Skip Frame!" They heard the man snap his fingers and he disappeared along with his Digimon.
"What the…?!" Everyone's heads shifted back and forth. "Where did he go?!" Kouta asked.
"Pfft." Ranamon shrugged. "Don't tell me after all that big talk he decided to tun off with his tail between his legs."
"Somehow I doubt that…" Magnamon said.
"Wait… he said his mission was…" Arata turned around.
Everyone did the same and found themselves staring at the stairs leading to the underground temple. "…Crap." Keisuke said.
Back in the heart of the temple Shiki looked up at the casket in the middle of the room. "Is that…?"
"Azulongmon's Digicore should be inside." Ami said. "We were about to try to get past the trap when…"
Yuuko looked at it then back at Fei. She gently made sure her friend was sitting up straight. "I'll handle it. You guys look after Fei for me." She stood up and walked over to the casket. She projected a monitor from her Digivice and started working.
As she got to that everyone else's eyes were on Fei. "So, who is this girl?" Shiki asked.
"Fei Tome Ignacio." Takumi replied.
"Remember how I told you reality changed in our world?" Ami asked. "Well before that Fei was part of Zaxon, the team Yuuko formed."
"She was also…" Everyone turned to TiggerVespamon who looked down sadly with Phoenixmon and Sakuyamon. "Our human Tamer."
"Oh…" Shiki looked back at the girl who just sat there, unable to look at anyone.
Yuuko closed her screen. "I think that did it."
Takumi walked over to the casket. "Great. Let's grab the core and get out of here."
Yuuko turned to him. "We're not leaving Fei here."
Takumi's face was blank. "No. We're not. Let's take her back to the city and hear her story. Maybe she can tell us more about Leopardmon's plans." He then looked at the box. "First things first though." He slid open the lid. A dark blue orb was inside. "This must be it." Takumi picked it up.
"Mission accomplished." Lobomon said. "Come on. Let's go get the others and get out of here."
Yuuko nodded then ran over to her friend. "Fei, can you walk?" The girl tried to stand up but stumbled onto her hands and knees. "Fei!"
"I got her." Sakuyamon kneeled behind Fei and Phoenixmon lifted her by the shoulders with her talons to get her on Sakuyamon's back.
As they started to walk towards the doorway, Rapidmon Armor X paused. "Someone's coming."
"Is it Arata and the others?" Takumi asked.
"No… this is-
"Freeze Frame!"
Everyone heard a finger snap from the door. They then noticed Takumi was frozen like a statue. "Takumi?!" Ami and Yuuko ran over to him.
"Look out!" Rosemon X shouted. She grabbed the girls with her whips and pulled them away. Then something flew by Takumi.
Takumi stumbled as his body started functioning again. "Huh?" He looked at his hand. The Digicore was gone. "What?!" He turned around and saw Brother Sorrow on BlitzGreymon. Azulongmon's Digicore in his hand. "Brother Sorrow?! When… how did you…?!"
"You shouldn't have lowered your guard Cyber Sleuth."
Fei yelled. "YOU! You threw me into this world…! Put that damn mask on me! Controlled me! You turned me against Yuuko!"
"Did I?" Brother Sorrow asked. "Your emotions and desires are your own. I merely provided the tools you needed to carry them out… and even then, you still failed. Disappointing, but hardly surprising."
"You did this to Fei?!" Yuuko asked. "Why?! What did she ever do to deserve this?!"
"It hurts, doesn't it? Having someone dear to you turned against you." Brother Sorrow asked. "Nothing hurts more. …Heh. Well… almost nothing."
"You kidnapped Fei… used her…! Yuuko glared. "Took advantage of her feelings for your personal gain! I won't forgive you! Samudramon!"
Her Digimon roared and rushed at BlitzGreymon. But then CresGarurumon appeared and blocked his swords with his spear before shoving him back. Brother Sorrow leered. Creepymon then leapt out from behind CresGarurumon and slashed Samudramon with his claws. "You have some nerve Yuuko." the Deadly Digimon of Wrath scowled.
"What do you mean?" the girl asked glaring back.
"My partner told me of the crimes you committed."
"*You*dare to accuse me of manipulating people for selfish gain?" Brother Sorrow growled. "*You*have a nerve to declare me unforgivable?!"
"Huh?" Yuuko blinked.
Brother Sorrow pointed at her. "It is you who manipulates others for her own desires! You are the one who is beyond forgiveness!"
"What are you talking about?! Who are you?!"
"I am the remnants of your greatest failure. I am the lingering sorrow you created. I am the dark shadow of your past you can never escape from no matter how fast you run. You took away what I swore to protect. And now… you will suffer just as I have!"
"So, you got some vendetta against Yuuko." Ami said.
"This does not concern you Cyber Sleuth."
"Then why not tell me?" Yuuko asked. "What is this quarrel you claim we have?"
"You will know in due time…" Brother Sorrow replied as his eyes slowly turned orange. "Right before your end. Just so we're clear, I fully intend to destroy you. But not just yet. Only when you understand this pain you've inflicted on me will I grant you the mercy of death."
"Yeash, talk about dark." Shiki muttered.
"Vendetta or not, you are not leaving here with that Digicore!" Lobomon said. "Surrender it now!"
Brother Sorrow stared at him for a bit. The orange glow in his eyes slowly died down. Then he faced the entire group. "My mission is to retrieve this Digicore. Fighting you is not a part of my mission. As a soldier of the Next Order, I must follow my orders, or I risk hindering operations and jeopardizing lives." He turned to Lilithmon X and Leviamon X who were still on the ground. "Creepymon, pick up your pals. We're leaving."
"Again?" Creepymon grumbled. "Why must we always flee when those we wish to destroy are right in front of us!?"
"Because it will jeopardize the mission. Now grab your friends so we can go."
"Fine." Creepymon snorted as he floated towards his fellow Deadly Digimon. "The Cyber Sleuths sure made a hell of a mess of you two."
"Don't just mock us you fool…" Leviamon X groaned.
"Help us…" Lilithmon X whimpered. "Please…"
"MINE!" Someone blew past Cerpymon and stabbed into Lilithmon and Leviamon X's backs.
"GAAAAAH!" Leviamon X yelled. "Why…?"
"No…" Lilithmon X weakly reached a hand up. "Not here… Not like this…" The two went limp and they both exploded in blue. Two spheres with red Xs fell onto the floor along with an orb with the Crown of Envy and an orb with the Crown of Lust.
Everyone was in shock. "What?!" Shiki gasped.
"Lilithmon… Leviamon…!" Ami murmured.
Brother Sorrow glared. "What do you think you're doing Matadormon?!"
The vampire Digimon laughed as he picked up the two orbs with the claws that stabbed the Deadly Digimon. "Why taking advantage of the situation of course." He looked at Takumi and Ami. "Thank you both for softening them up for me! The Digicores of Deadly Digimon of Envy and Lust are now mine!"
"Even if K has outlived her usefulness to us, Lilithmon and Leviamon were of the Next Order!" BlitzGreymon yelled. "This is treason!"
"Pfft. "Next Order". You losers can keep your little club. I have my own agenda. Tell your phony "king" to enjoy his reign over the Digital World while he still can!" Matadormon turned to Fei. "Thanks for the fun times kid! But I don't need you anymore either! Just like how Yuuko and the Next Order don't need you! Or anybody for that matter!" The Digimon laughed. "See ya!" He jumped and vanished.
"You think you can get away you turncoat?!" Creepymon yelled.
"Creepymon, no!" Brother Sorrow ordered. "We have what we came for and we won't risk it chasing after him! We are retreating now!"
"Ugh!" Creepymon glared at him. "Your cowardice is really starting to get under my skin human!"
BlitzGreymon aimed his firearms at him. "Have care how you speak fool! He is our Tamer, and I will not tolerate disrespect!"
"Nor will I." CresGarurumon said pointing his spear. "One more insult, and I'll slice out your tongue."
"Tch!" Creepymon flew over to Brother Sorrow as his other Digimon joined him.
"Stop him!" Takumi shouted.
Rapidmon X and Rosemon X flew towards Brother Sorrow as he pulled up a menu. But just as they were about to reach him, he vanished with his three Digimon. "Shoot!" Grumblemon growled. "He got away with the core!"
"Damn it!" Takumi yelled.
"Hey, guys!" Keisuke came running into the room with the others. "Did you get the Digicore?"
"Brother Sorrow took it." Ami replied.
"Damn…" Arata growled. "Wait… what happened to your Digimon?"
Shiki smiled. "Ami got the EXE working! This is her three Digimon combined into one!"
"Really?!" Himari asked. "That's amazing Ami!"
Ami smiled slightly as Rosemon X and Rapidmon X separated back into their parts. "Thanks."
Kouta then looked at Sakuyamon's back and recognized the coat the girl on her wore. "Wait! Is that K?!"
Keisuke took one look at her face and gasped. "No way… Fei, is that you?!"
"Dear god…" Arata breathed.
"Someone you know?" Beetlemon asked.
"Takumi, what the hell happened here?!" Keisuke asked.
Takumi sighed. "Look, a lot's happened. Let's head back to the city for now. We can give Fei time to recover while we report to the others and then we can figure out what to do."
"Alright." Agunimon replied.
Keisuke heard a ringing and put on his visor. "Hello?"
"It's me."
"Oh, Zero! Are you alright?"
"Yeah. But that Digimon got away. Did the others get the core?"
"Brother Sorrow snatched it."
"Damn… so we failed."
"Well… we're not going home completely empty handed."
"What do you mean?"
"I'll tell you in person. We're heading back to the city. There's… someone you'll want to see."
"Right. I'll meet you back on top of the mountain and we'll warp back together. It'll save us on Home Gates."
Keisuke took his Digivice off. "What was that about?" MetalSeadramon asked.
"Argomon escaped. Zero said he'll meet us outside so we can go back together."
"Let's be on our way then." Gallantmon said before looking at Fei. "…So, K was one of your friends?"
"Yeah…" Ami solemnly replied.
"Very well. We will need to question her, but out of respect for your friendship I am willing to give her time to rest before the interrogation."
"Thank you, Sir Gallantmon." TiggerVespamon replied.
As everyone turned towards the exit. Shiki then noticed the red Xs on the ground. "Huh?" She picked them up. "Wait, didn't Leviamon and Lilithmon drop these?"
"Shiki, come on!" Himari called.
Shiki pocketed the objects. "Right! Coming!"
Boltboutamon, Craniamon, Dynasmon and Crusadermon kneeled in front of Leopardmon. "And you are certain that human will retrieve it alone?" Craniamon asked.
"I would not have left if I wasn't." Crusadermon replied. "Brother Sorrow will succeed."
"The guy's talented, I'll give him that." Boltboutamon said. "But Ami just achieved EXE and use of the X-Antibody. Going through both her and Takumi won't be easy."
"There is more to war than power. Brother Sorrow's craftiness and resourcefulness is part of why I chose him. And of course, his grudge towards Yuuko."
The double doors behind them opened. Brother Sorrow and his three Digimon entered. "Pardon the interruption." the hacker said as he and his Digimon got between the Royal Knights and kneeled to the new king.
"Brother Sorrow." Leopardmon said. "How did your mission go?"
"I have news to report. Both good and bad." He stood up and held up his hand. The blue Digicore appeared. "To start, I have obtained Azulongmon's Digicore."
Crusadermon chuckled. "See? What did I tell you?"
Leopardmon held out his hand. Brother Sorrow held the core towards him, and it floated to the former Royal Knight. "Excellent. Well done, Brother Sorrow." Leopardmon said. "Crusadermon was right to have faith in you."
"Thank you, my liege." Brother Sorrow kneeled. "I simply fulfilled my mission."
"So, I take it that was the good news?" Boltboutamon asked.
"Yes. As for the bad news… K has been exposed, freed from our control, and taken by the Next Order."
"That was expected." Leopardmon said. "And of no consequence. The girl long served her purpose."
"Sire, that is not all… Lilithmon and Leviamon were slain."
"By the Cyber Sleuths?" Dynasmon asked.
"No. By Matadormon."
The Digimon all did a take. "What?!" Craniamon asked. "Why?!"
"We do not know." Creepymon replied. "But he took their Digicores and declared his defection of the Next Order."
"How dare he…! So be it." Leopardmon growled. "Dynasmon, alert everyone that Matadormon is a traitor and is to be destroyed on sight."
"At once your majesty. We will show him what fate awaits deserters." Dynasmon replied before taking his leave.
"My apologies. Lilithmon and Leviamon's deaths hang on my shoulders." Brother Sorrow replied. "I failed to safely extract them. And I was the one who brought Fei here for Matadormon to bind her to him. I suspect his plan from the beginning was to get close to the Deadly Digimon in order to slay them. I should have known better…"
"That is enough Brother Sorrow." Crusadermon said. "It was I who approved of the plan of turning the girl into K. I bare as much responsibility for this as you."
"Do not waste time blaming yourselves." Leopardmon said. "What's done is done, and the traitor will get what's coming to him in due time. In any event, Boltboutamon, now that we have compared your X-Antibodies to Takumi and now Ami's Digimon, what is your verdict?"
"The bonding process was successful…" BoltBoutamon said. "But my artificial X-Antibodies need work. They clearly don't give the same oomph as what the Cyber Sleuths got, and they don't mix with other enhancement programs that well. I would like to do more research before we use them on anyone else."
"Understood. Use any resources or methods necessary." Leopardmon replied. "You are all dismissed."
As the group exited the room and walked down the halls, Craniamon turned to the human. "Brother Sorrow."
"Yes?"
"You have my apologies. I was wrong to doubt you. The truth is I was reluctant to trust you from the beginning because you were a human. But you treat Digimon around you with respect and care, and you carry out your missions successfully following orders to the letter. It seems I was biased."
"I do not blame you for being untrusting towards my kind. I admit, there are fools, cowards, and scumbags among the human race." Brother Sorrow clenched his fist.
"Are you regretting we didn't finish off Yuuko back in the temple?" CresGarurumon asked. Brother Sorrow didn't answer.
"Knowing when to retreat is important." Crusadermon said. "Besides, in death Yuuko can no longer feel pain. If you truly want to avenge the boy's suffering, his tormentor must first know his and your pain."
Brother Sorrow pushed his mask against his face. "I know. I look forward to seeing the regret and fear in her eyes… as I watch the life fade from them."
Everyone was gathered back in the war room. "Oh, Fei…" Nokia whispered. "That poor girl…"
"To think K was a friend of yours…" Shoma said. "I'm sorry…"
"We're keeping her in lockdown for now." Magnamon said. "We'll give her time before we start the questioning."
"I wouldn't count on learning much." Darcmon said. "It sounds like the Next Order was using the girl."
"From Brother Sorrow said, it seems like they've been prepared to give up on her." Magnamon added.
"Brother Sorrow sounds like he really wants you dead for some reason Yuuko." Himari said.
"No." Yuuko replied. "Killing me isn't enough for him. That's the real reason why he left without attacking me. He made it clear he wants me to suffer first. That's why he turned Fei into K."
"Any idea who he is?" Mameo asked.
Yuuko sighed. "I haven't a clue."
"I'm worried about Matadormon." Keisuke said. "What does he want with Lilithmon and Leviamon's power that's worth getting on the Next Order's bad side?"
"Matadormon and Brother Sorrow are both an enigma and dangerous, but right now I think our biggest concern is the Sovereign Digimon." Gankoomon said. "The Next Order now has three of their Digicores. They're one step away from putting their plan into action."
"We need to find that last one before they do." Takuto said. "Otherwise, it's game over for us!"
Mirei nodded. "Agreed. I'll start scanning for Baihumon's Digicore."
"At least we have a new EXE and X-Antibody Digimon on our side." Kouta said turning to Ami."
"As I suspected." Mirei replied. "Ami and her brother were on equal footing. It was only a matter of time."
"We still don't know how to get it to work when we want to though." Takumi replied.
"Sounds like you two need some practice!" Takuto said. "Shiki and I can teach you! Is there a training room or something around here?"
"Of course." Justimon replied. "I'll show you the way."
"Is there anything else we need to discuss?" Darcmon asked.
"Oh! On the topic of the X-Antibody." Shiki took out the orbs she picked up. "I found these back at the temple before we left. I think they're the X-Antibodies Lilithmon and Leviamon said Boltboutamon made for them."
"Intriguing…" Mirei said. "Credit given where it's due, Boltboutamon creating such a thing from scratch is no small accomplishment."
"Do you know what it is though?" Kentaurosmon asked. "A serious pain in the ass for us. If the Next Order can make these things, in time they will mass produce them. And we'll have an army of Digimon with the power of Alphamon to deal with."
"Perhaps." Mirei typed into her laptop and the X-Antibodies were sucked into the screen. "But perhaps two can play this game. I understand the X-Antibody better than Boltboutamon. With a little work I can make these prototype as stable as the real deal."
"Now you're talking!" Arata smirked. "They wanna copy what Takumi and Ami did then we'll just have to remind them who the real deal is!"
"Meeting adjourned then?" Mameo asked. "I think it's time we asked Fei a few questions."
"Agreed." Magnamon replied. "I'll accompany you."
"Guys..." Yuuko murmured.
Mameo held up his hand. "It's okay Yuuko. We know Fei is your friend and has already suffered a great deal. We'll be gentle with her, I promise. You don't have to get involved either, I know it would be difficult."
Yuuko exhaled. "Thank you."
"Alright." Omegamon said. "We should prepare the best we can. Once we find the last core, we have to obtain it before the Next Order. Otherwise, all hope is lost."
