Thor had spoken to Steve the evening before. Steve had contacted Skye's social worker to see if she could visit him for just the day as she was missing home. Her social worker said that it could cause some issues if she allowed it, and the foster care and court systems wouldn't like it. She understood the girl was missing home. It showed that he had made her feel very welcome, and that would help his case for getting full custody. But right now she was safe where she was and bringing her back could draw attention to her and cause issues. So, she was going to have to say no. But he and Skye could talk on the phone or via video chat. She would try and move up the court day so she could be there quicker. She did want to help, but her hands were tied from doing any more than she was offering to do.

Steve let Thor know what the social worker had said, and Thor had just finished telling all this to Skye.

Skye let out a sigh. "Okay," she said. It was clear she was upset about it, but she was trying to be calm and accepting.

"You can call him still or do a video call," Thor said.

Skye nodded a bit.

"I know it is not what you would like, but it is the best that can be done," Thor said.

"I know. Thank you for trying," Skye said.

Thor nodded a bit. "I know it is hard when we do not get what we want," he said.

"I'm used to it," Skye said.

"What would you like to do today instead?" Thor asked.

"Is it okay if I just go for a walk?" Skye asked.

"You think you will be able to find your way around?" he asked.

Skye nodded. "Yes."

"Okay, you can go," he said.

Skye got up and put on all her winter gear before heading out for a walk.

Steve called Thor.

"How is my favorite Captain?" Thor asked, answering the phone.

Steve chuckled. "I'm alright. How did Skye take it?"

"I am not sure. She was clearly upset, but she seemed to understand. She did say she is used to things not going her way," Thor said.

Steve sighed. "Yeah, it's not fair."

"No, it is not," Thor said. "But she went for a walk. Maybe she will clear her head and be better when she returns," Thor said.

"Okay. Have her call me when she gets back," Steve said.

"I shall," Thor told Steve. They ended the call, and Thor went about what he needed to do around the house.

He started to worry when she wasn't back an hour later. He looked outside to see if he could see her coming this way, but he didn't. He got his own gear on before heading out into town. He needed to pick up a few things anyway, and he could keep an eye out for her as he did. The town wasn't that big, so she shouldn't have been too hard to find.

Skye was out for her walk. She had gone back to the water to stare. It was beautiful and peaceful. After awhile she felt like she was being watched, and she looked around to see what she could only assume was paparazzi taking her photo. She wasn't sure how they found her. But they had her completely blocked from escaping. She started to panic.

Out of nowhere the teenage boy she had met the other day came and grabbed her arm "Here, come with me. I'll get you out of here," Orri said.

Skye went with him, and he led her around the back of some of the shops and into the back door of one of them into a stock room. "We can stay here for a bit. They will move on," he said.

Skye nodded. "Okay, thanks," she said softly as she started to calm down a little.

"You okay?" Orri asked.

"No. How the hell did they even find me?" She asked.

"I don't know," the boy said. "Should we call someone and let them know where you are?" he asked,

Skye nodded. "I probably should," she said. She reached into her pocket but couldn't find her phone.

"Oh, my god. My phone is gone," she started to panic again.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. Just breathe," Orri, said trying to calm the girl down.

Skye started to sob.

The boy took out his phone and called his father, who said he would find Thor and let him know what was going on.

The man headed towards Thor's place, but saw him in town.

"Thor, just the man I am looking for," Orri's father said.

"Ah, I am just looking for Skye. Have you seen her?" Thor asked.

"She is with my son. Some paparazzi are here and were taking photos and blocked her way away from the water. My son helped her get away behind some of the shops. They are hiding in a stock room of one of them," the man told Thor.

"How did they know she was here?" Thor asked going with the man.

"Breathe. It's okay. My dad will get Thor. Why don't you tell me about yourself?" Orri asked. He had his hand on her shoulder reassuringly.

"I- I don't know what to tell you," Skye said.

"What's your favorite movie?" He asked. He figured getting her mind off of what was going on could help.

Skye chuckled, "that's kind of embarrassing."

"Oh. A guilty pleasure even better," he said with a smile.

Skye blushed.

"Okay, how about T.V. show?" Orri asked.

"Stranger Things," Skye said.

"Good show," he said.

"Yours?" Skye asked.

"Big Bang Theory," he said.

"That's a good one, too," Skye said. "My favorite movie is a Cinderella story."

"Oh. Which one?" he asked.

"The Hilary Duff one," Skye said.

"Ooh," he said as he moved in closer to her.

Skye backed up a bit. She instantly started to feel extremely uncomfortable.

"You don't want to?" he asked.

Skye shook her head.

"How come?" Orri asked, again moving in closer.

"I- Um. Don't…" She stumbled over her words not sure what to say.

Just then the door opened, and Thor and Orri's father were there.

Orri backed away quickly.

"Skyler, are you alright?" Thor asked.

Skye nodded.

Thor pulled her in close for a hug. "It is okay. I will get you back without being seen."

Skye gave him a small hug.

Thor looked at Orri. "Thank you for keeping her safe."

Orri nodded. "Um, no problem," he said.

"Skye, you have something to say?" Thor asked.

"Um, yeah, thanks," she said. She didn't want to thank him, but she felt backed into a corner. It had started okay. But in the end, he was trying to kiss her, and she didn't want to. But she was worried about what Thor would do if he knew, and she didn't want to get Orri in trouble with his dad either.

They all said bye, and Thor led Skye toward his place.

"You are sure you are okay?" Thor asked.

"I just want to know how I was found," Skye said.

"I do, too. And I will find out," Thor said. It was clear that he was not happy that she had been found.

"Oh, and I think I lost my phone," Skye said.

"I shall make sure it is found," Thor said as he led her back to his place, making sure they weren't followed.

"I am sorry. I know this village doesn't need paparazzi around," Skye said.

"That is not your fault. You do not need to feel bad about it," Thor said opening the front door.

Skye went inside and took off all her gear.

Thor put his hands on her shoulder and bent so he was at eye level with her. "Are you sure you are not hurt?"

"Yes," Skye said.

He gave her a tight hug, "I think for right now you need to stay in the house."

"I understand," Skye said.

"You may use my phone to call Steve. He needs to know what happened," Thor said as he sent off a text to some people in town asking if they would look for a phone with a purple case. He then handed her his phone.

Skye sat on the couch and called Steve on speaker.

"Thor, is she back yet?" Steve asked.

"It's me. I have misplaced my phone," she said.

"Oh, okay. I'm sure you will find it. How was your walk?" Steve asked,

"It was okay, till it wasn't," Skye said.

"What do you mean?" Steve asked.

"The paparazzi found me," Skye said.

"What!" Steve said

"I already have people looking to find how they found out," Thor said.

"Damn it," Steve said clearly angry.

"I'm sorry," Skye said softly.

"Skyler it is not your fault," Thor said.

"He is right Skye. It's not your fault," Steve said calming down.

Skye teared up a bit, "I just want to be back at the compound."

"I know," Steve said. "I'm sorry. I'm trying my best to get you back here."

"I know," Skye said.

Thor sat next to her and put an arm around her.

"There is a teenage boy in town. I know his father well. He saw her panicking with the paparazzi and was in a spot where she didn't know how to get out. He helped her out and got her somewhere safe till I was able to get to her," Thor said.

"Okay. Good." Steve said, "Are you okay Skye?"

"I'm okay I guess." She said

"She will be staying inside for now." Thor said, "if necessary I will find somewhere else to take her where she will be safe."

Steve let out a breath "I appreciate this Thor."

"Not a problem. Family protects each other." Thor said, "And I will find out who told them where she was."

"I will see if I can figure it out from here too," Steve said

"That's how I lost my phone… I don't know where I dropped it…" Skye said

"I have people looking where she was," Thor said. "It will be found."

"Skye don't worry about it. If it's gone I will get you a new phone. It's replaceable okay?" Steve said

"Okay." She said softly.

"Skye. I promise I'm not upset with you at all. This situation is not your fault." Steve said

Skye looked up at Thor. "Did you not tell him about yesterday?"

"I had not. I was going to let you." Thor said

"What happened yesterday?" Steve asked

Skye sighed.

"Tell me please," Steve said

"No…" Skye said softly.

Steve sighed. "Thor?"

Thor explained what happened the day before.

Steve let out an exasperated breath.

"I just wanted to come home," Skye said tears streaming down her face.

"I get that Skyler. But that doesn't mean you can just do it like that," Steve said

"We have talked about it. I do not think she will do it again," Thor said

"Okay." Steve said "But Skye this is strike two. If you misbehave again there will be serious consequences when you are back. Got it?"

"Understood," Skye said.

"Skye. I know this is a really hard situation for you, but you have got to behave for Thor," Steve said

"I know. I'm sorry. And I have apologized to him," She said wiping at her eyes.

"Good," Steve said.

There was a knock on the door.

"I will get that," Thor said. "Stay here," he told Skye.

Thor got up and went and opened the door. He came back into the room a couple of minutes later and is holding her phone case, "seems the case was found. But no phone."

Skye sighed, "I had so many pictures on there…" She said

"Your phone was connected to the cloud?" Steve asked

"Yes," Skye said.

"Then we can get your photos. Don't worry," Steve said.

"Okay," Skye said.

"And I will see if I can have your phone tracked," Steve said.

"You let me know if I need to go somewhere to get it," Thor said.

"Will do," Steve said. "Do what Thor tells you and stay out of trouble Skye."

"Yes sir," Skye said.

The call ended and Skye sighed

"I know it's hard disappointing our parents," Thor said.

"Oh?" Skye asked.

"I had parents, too," Thor said.

"You sure you didn't just appear as a god?" She asked with a smirk.

Thor laughed. "Yes, Storm Breaker and Mjolnir before can only be used by those who have the right intentions because of an enchantment my father put on it after I became very…." He tried to find the right words to explain it. "I didn't have the right intentions in my heart, and he saw that. So he put the enchantment on it to teach me a lesson. And it worked."

"Wow. That is taking it to a whole other level of consequence," Skye said.

Thor nodded. "I didn't understand why exactly at the time, but I came to understand and know he did the right thing. But I tell you this because it hurt knowing I had disappointed my father that much. So, while what you did does not compare, I know how you are feeling, and it will be okay."

Skye nodded.

"I learned my lesson, and my father forgave me much like yours. He probably already has. Steve has a big heart for you," Thor said.

Skye nodded, a wistful smile on her lips.

"Now, you must be hungry. You haven't eaten anything yet today, correct?" Thor asked.

Skye nodded, "I'm starving," she said.

Thor made them a quick lunch, and they sat and ate.

"Is there more Star Wars?" Thor asked.

"Two more," Skye said with a smile.

"Well, let's watch them," Thor said.

"You like them, huh?" Skye asked.

"I do," Thor said.

They started to watch the next movie. As it was finishing Thor's phone rang and he answered it.

"Hello," Thor said. "It was who?" Thor asked, getting up and leaving the room. Skye could kind of hear what was being said, but Thor was talking quietly.

What she understood was they had found out who revealed she was there, and it had all been a setup for something.

She heard him end the call and came back into the living room. "Ready for the next movie?" he asked.

"Um, yeah," she said, getting up and putting on the next movie. She wanted to know, but she could tell Thor was pissed. She didn't want to ask and risk making him angry.

They started to watch the movie. When it was over Thor turned it off.

"I have a question. Do not lie," Thor said.

"Okay," Skye said.

"When you were alone with Orri, did he try to kiss you?" Thor asked.

Skye took a breath and nodded, looking down.

"Why did you not tell me?" Thor asked.

"I didn't know how you would react. And I didn't want to get him in trouble," Skye said.

"Did you want to kiss him?" Thor asked.

"No," Skye said.

"He tried. You said no, and he stopped?" Thor asked.

"Not exactly. He moved in closer to me. I backed away. He asked me if I wanted to kiss, and I said no. He asked why and started to move in close again. That's when the door was opened and you were there," Skye said.

Thor nodded. "So he tried to even though he knew you didn't want to."

Skye nodded.

"And you did not want him to be in trouble?" Thor asked.

Skye shrugged.

"He should be in trouble. It is never okay for anyone to try and force you to kiss or do anything you do not want to do," Thor said.

"Sorry," Skye said.

"You do not need to apologize. You did nothing wrong. He did," Thor said.

"I should have told you," Skye said.

"It is okay," Thor said.

"How did you find out?" Skye asked.

"He was the one who told the press you are here and arranged it to get you alone," Thor said.

"I thought you said he was a good guy," Skye said softly.

"I thought he was. His father has not taught him to be like this. His father is the one who called and told me when he found out," Thor said, shaking his head.

"What happens now?" Skye asked.

"I will have to call Steve and tell him. We will probably move you somewhere else," he said.

Skye nodded, "'Kay."

Thor took a breath and shook his head.

"What is it?" Skye asked.

"You were uncomfortable I can see it now, but I did not then. I thanked him for protecting you, and I made you thank that boy," Thor said.

"You didn't know. It's okay," Skye said.

"Skye, look at me," Thor said.

Skye looked at him.

"Never be afraid to tell me when someone is bothering you. You tell me or your dad or any adult that is around what has happened as soon as you see them. Okay?" Thor said.

Skye nodded.

"I would have been angry. I am angry, but not at you. But, I would have handled it correctly as I am right now," Thor said.

"Okay," Skye said.

"Promise me if this ever happens again you will tell someone," Thor said.

"I promise," Skye said.

"Now we need to call Steve," Thor said, taking out his phone and calling him.

"Hi, Thor, any news?" Steve asked.

"Yes. We have found out who let it be known she was here, and why they did it," Thor said.

"Okay. Who? Why?" Steve asked.

"The boy who had saved her. He didn't do it to help her. He had wanted to arrange to get her alone so he could kiss her," Thor said.

"Excuse me?" Steve said.

"I assure you it is being handled," Thor said.

"I thought you said this was a good kid," Steve said, clearly annoyed.

"I thought he was. His father does not teach him to be like this. He is as angry as I am. He is the one who found out his son did this and informed me," Thor said. "And, trusting this boy or not, I would not have let them be alone either way. I just thought, in this situation, her safety was more important."

"Am I on speaker?" Steve asked.

"Yes," Thor said.

"Skye, did he kiss you?" Steve asked.

"He was trying to. He didn't get the chance," Skye said. "Thor and his father showed up at the right moment."

"You didn't tell Thor what happened right away?" Steve asked.

"No," Skye said.

"Why not?" Steve asked.

"I … um … I … I didn't want to get him in trouble," Skye said, stumbling over her words.

"I have told her he should be and is in trouble," Thor said.

"Skye, you don't cover for boys or anyone else who tries to force themselves on you, ever," Steve said.

"Okay. Thor told me the same," Skye said.

"Good," Steve said. "So, I have spoken to your social worker. She does think you need to be moved," Steve said.

"I do have an idea of where that could be," Thor said.

"I think I have an idea," Steve said. "You have done enough."

"Steve, this isn't his fault," Skye said.

"Skye, go to your room. Let Steve and me talk," Thor said.

"No, I'm not going anywhere so he can blame you," Skye said.

"Skyler, now!" Thor said loudly.

Skye got up and went to the bedroom and sulked on the chair in the room.

"Steve, I am sorry she was put in a bad situation while on my watch," Thor said. He felt awful about the whole situation. She had been brought there to protect her, and one of the people he had introduced her to had set her up to try and kiss her. Had he not shown up when he did that boy might have succeeded.

"I don't blame you, Thor," Steve said. "I just know she has been giving you a tough time. And I honestly didn't think you had it in you to be stern with her. I stand corrected."

Thor let out a soft chuckle. "It is very hard to get angry with her."

"I get it. I do. Trust me. I haven't had the easiest time being hard on her," Steve said. "But she needs the structure, or she will walk all over me and anyone who lets her get away with things."

"Ah, yes. That can become a problem," Thor said. "What was your idea for where she should go?"

"Clint has insisted if she needs a safe place she can go there," Steve said.

"Ah, yes. She will probably have more fun there anyway," Thor said.

"Where were you thinking?" Steve asked.

"I have been speaking to Jane. She has told me I should bring her there for a visit at the very least. She finds it quite amusing that you have a child," Thor said with amusement in his voice.

Steve chuckled. "Why?"

"Well, because people did not believe you had ever had sex," Thor said.

"Well, I have, and long before Skye was made," Steve said, amusement clear in his voice as well.

"I do think Skye will likely have more fun with Clint and his family on the farm," Thor said.

"I agree, but I hesitate because Clint didn't tell anyone about his family for years to protect them. Putting Skye there could bring attention to them," Steve said.

"Ah, yes. There is a risk. It is not a problem to bring her to Jane's," Thor said. "Decision is up to you, of course."

"Let me get back to you on that," Steve said.

"Okay. I do have a young lady to speak with," Thor said.

"I will call you once I have figured it out," Steve said, and they hung up.

Thor took a breath and went to the bedroom, knocking on the door.

"Yes?" Skye said.

Thor went in and sat on the bed.

"Sorry," Skye said.

Thor nodded. "Skyler, when I ask you to do something I expect you to listen. When I ask you to do something there is a reason. And it does not matter if you agree. I expect you to listen."

Skye nodded. "Yes, sir."

"I have let you get away with too much these last few days. And I think it has led you to believe you can get away with anything with me. That is going to change," Thor said.

Skye took a breath and her eyes filled with tears. "I-I'm sorry."

"I know, little one. But that does not change what has to happen," Thor said. "Come here," he said, pointing to the spot in front of him.

Skye moved to stand in front of him.

"I do not like doing this anymore than you like me doing it," Thor said.

"I think that is for a very different reason," Skye said.

Thor just shook his head and helped her over his lap.

He started spanking. He knew he didn't need to lecture her. She knew what she had done wrong.

She started crying pretty quickly and sobbing soon after.

He gave her a couple of dozen swats before sitting her up and holding her.

Skye sobbed into his shoulder. He rubbed her back. She started to calm down.

"It is forgiven little one," Thor said softly.

Skye calmed down and pulled away from his shoulder and looked up at him.

Thor gently wiped away a few tears. "You will listen to me from now on?" he asked.

"Yes, sir," Skye said.

"Okay, good. Because I do not want to have to do that again," Thor said.

"I would rather to never have that happen to me again - with anyone," Skye said.

"Ah, well. Do what you are told, and it will not happen," Thor said.

Skye nodded. "That's easier said than done sometimes."

"This is true. You are learning. You will make mistakes. And there will be consequences," Thor said.

Skye let out a breath and nodded again.

Thor helped her to stand. "You are okay?"

"Yes," Skye said.

"Good. Now come. I will make us dinner," he said.

Skye went with him, and they made and had dinner.

As they were finishing there was a knock on the door.

Thor went and answered. He narrowed his eyes at the teenage boy who was there with his father.

"Orri has something to say to Skye," his father said. "If that is all right?"

"Skye, come here please," Thor said.

Skye went and took a breath.

"Do you want to hear anything from him?" Thor asked.

Skye shrugged.

"You can say no," Thor said.

"What do you want to say?" Skye asked Orri as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'm sorry," Orri said.

"Whatever," Skye said.

"I don't think she is ready to accept," Thor said.

The boy's father nodded, "Understandable. Orri, let's go. Now."

Orri went with him.

Skye went back into the kitchen and started to clean up.

Thor closed the door and followed. "Are you okay?"

"Would you be?" Skye asked.

"Probably not," Thor said. "What can I do to help?"

"Nothing," Skye said.

Thor's phone rang. He answered it and spoke to Steve for a couple of minutes before hanging up.

"You need to pack," Thor said.

Skye nodded. "Where am I going?"

"The Barton farm," Thor said.

Skye smiled a little. "Okay." She went to the bedroom and pulled the suitcase out and started to pack.

Thor came into the room. "I hope you had fun here for the most part."

"I did. Wasn't all sunshine and roses, but it was fun," Skye said.

"Good," Thor said.

"Is Steve upset with you still?" Skye asked.

"He never was. He was just frustrated by the situation," Thor said.

Skye nodded. "oh."

"I thought he was, too," Thor said.

"Am I leaving tonight?" Skye asked.

"Yes," Thor said. "Clint and Laura are expecting us. Well, you, but I am taking you."

Skye nodded and finished packing. She looked around to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything.

She closed her bag and grabbed her winter gear.

Thor grabbed Storm Breaker, and they headed to the farm.

Thor knocked on the door when they got there.
