(Abigail's POV)
*Knuckles held up his new baby brother by his footie pajamas. Sonic was laughing & Julie-Su was holding in a laugh*
Knuckles: He's my baby what!?
Lina-Le: He's our baby brother, Knuckles! Mom was pregnant the last time you saw us.
Abigail: Wow. Congratulations.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
Knuckles: I guess time really flies when you're fighting a war. So, Mom, what do you and Wynmacher call the little rug rat, anyways?
Lara-Le: His name is Kneecapeon Mace . . . But we call him 'Kneecaps' for short!
*Lina & the baby both made faces, showing that neither of them liked the name*
Knuckles: Kneecaps the Echidna!? Mom, that's got to be the worst name I've ever heard for a kid!
*Sonic, Remington, & the Chaotix started laughing hysterically at the name. I glared at them*
Abigail: It's not funny, you guys!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*Knuckles turned to them, furious*
Knuckles: Is something funny!?
*They started holding in their laughing & whistling innocently. Mace reached out for his big brother*
Lara-Le: He seems to have taken a shine to you, Knuckles!
Knuckles: You don't really except me to . . .
*He put the baby on his head & he started chewing on one of hid . Knuckles took him off & her started hitting him on the head with his rattle again*
Lara-Le: Quite a shine!
Knuckles: He's going to give me brain damage!
Abigail: Here. Let me take him. I have experience with babies.
Knuckles: "Whew." Thanks, Abby.
*He handed me Mace & went ahead. I cradled the baby in my arms*
Abigail: You hit your brother like that. That's a no-no.
*I tickled him, making him giggle. Then he started playing with my pendant, even putting it in his mouth. I just smiled at him. He must be teething*
(Third-Person POV)
*Sonic & the Chaotix followed Lara-Su & Wynmacher into the camp. Some new tents had been set up*
Lara-Le: The free echidnas pitched these tents so you and your friends would have a place to sleep for the night.
Sonic: Way past cool!
Knuckles: Yeah, but did they do it out of hospitality or because they believe I'm the Avatar here the fulfill some ancient echidna prophecy!
Lina-Le: Why should it matter, Knux?
Knuckles: I . . . Dunno, Lina. I need some time alone to think about all this . . .
*And he left*
Sonic: I don't get it, Julie-Su. What's up with your boyfriend?
Julie-Su: Knuckles is . . . Complex, Sonic.
Mighty: Yeah, it's gotta be weird dying, coming back, then having everybody act differently because of it.
Sonic: Y'mean like how everyone acted when I came back . . .
Ray: Hey. Wh - Where's Abby?
Saffron: She and Huck are over there with little Mace.
*They looked & saw her in one of the tents, rocking Mace & singing him a lullaby. Huck was hovering over them*
*Abigail singing*

*After I put the little tyke to sleep with my Mom's lullaby, I set him down on one of the cots & quietly left the tent & quietly left the tent with Huck. But was surprised to find everyone smiling at me, except Knuckles, who was nowhere to be found, & some of the free echidnas*
Abigail: Oh! Uh . . . *I blushed in embarrassment* How long have you all been standing there?
Vector: Long enough to know that you sing great.
Abigail: Um . . . Thanks. How embarrassing.
Lara-Le: Oh you shouldn't be embarrassed, dear. You have a lovely voice.
Abigail: Well, that's very kind of you . . . Huh? Where's Knuckles?
Sonic: He needed some time alone from, well . . . *he motioned to the free echidnas. some were holding up signs that said "Avatar"* All this.
*I guess I could understand what he was going through. It's never easy, being a celebrity. Especially one that came back from the dead*
*The next morning, Julie-Su shook Knuckles awake. He came back last night*
Julie-Su: Knuckles . . .? It's time.
*Finitevus & the Dark Legion has gathered to discuss a strategy*
Lien-Da: I've received word from my double agent inside General Kage's army, informing me exactly where Locke is being held prisoner. We can stage a rescue now, if you're feeling up to it, Knuckles. I'll command the Dark Legion.
*Knuckles hugged his Mom & sister*
Lara-Le: Knuckles, I - I -
Knuckles: I'm going Mom. Don't worry . . . I'll be fine. *he turned to Lina* You stay with Mom and look after her*
Lina-Le: I will. Just please come back alive.
Wynmacher: Don't doubt the Avatar, Lara-Le.
*Mace looked really tired & cranky*
Charmy: You'll be better off here Saffron.
*I looked at Huck*
Abigail: You'd better stay here too Huck. It sounds way too dangerous for you.
Huckleberry: Chao . . .
*I hugged him & gave him to Lina to look after*
Saffron: I know, Charmy. Just come back safe.
Remington: What about me, Avatar? I can accompany you in battle!
Knuckles: No, Remington. I want you to stay here. Keep an eye on the Master Emerald while we're gone.
*Suddenly, I felt a familiar surge go through me. I held my head in pain as I tried to keep the vision at bay. I didn't want to have a vision in front of the Dark Legion & Dr. Finitevus. I didn't trust any of them*
Sonic: Uh . . . Abby. Are you okay . . .
Abigail:*whispering* V . . . Vision incoming . . .
Sonic: Uh-oh.
*The Chaotix overhead & started to look worried. Sonic quickly scooped me up & zoomed away. As he set me down on a rock, images appeared before my eyes*

(Vision - Third-Person POV)
*I saw a red male echidna with blue eyes, peach skin, a white beard, a crescent moon birthmark on his chest, & wearing a brown tribal outfit, brown gloves with spikes, & brown boots, hanging upside down from chains. I also saw two male dingos, one tall, muscular, & half robot & the other one small & fully flesh, the in the room with him. When the bigger one had his back turned, the smaller one whispering to the echidna*
(Reality - Abigail's POV)
*The vision ended & I held my head in pain as the usual headache came in. The Chaotix had just caught up with us*
Sonic: So, what'd you see this time?
Abigail: I . . . I think I saw Knuckles' Dad.
Knuckles: What!? *he grabbed my shoulders* Where is he!? He is he okay!?
Abigail: I . . . I don't know where he is. But he seems okay, despite being hung upside down. *he got really angry at that* I also saw him talking to a dingo soldier named Harry. I think that was the double agent Finitevus told us about.
Vector: Good to know.
Julie-Su: Come on. Let's get back to the others before they get suspicious.
*We went back to the camp*
Wynmacher: Is everything okay?
Abigail: It's fine. I just felt a little dizzy. Must be the air pressure.
Lara-Le: Oh dear. Do you need to lay down for a while?
Abigail: Don't worry. I'll be okay.
*Finitevus started staring at me for a few seconds & gave me a sinister smile. I cringed when I saw his shark-like teeth*
Lien-Da: Now, if everyone's feeling up to it, can we please get started now?
Sonic: Not for nothing, but as far as getting into Dingo City goes, it's no problem for yours truly with my superior speed and all, but how are the rest of you gonna get there? *soon, me, the Chaotix & the Dark Legion were flying in hovercrafts, towards Dingo City* I had to ask!
*Sonic & I made our way through the main building in Dingo City & found the ones from my vision in one of the rooms. The muscular dingo & the shorter dingo were also in there, along with Knuckles' Dad, who was hanging upside down by chains*
Sonic: We heard it was free chili dog day in Dingo City!
Abigail: 'Cause we'll take a dozen to go.
Harry: Yipe!
General Kage: You!? Here!? Now!? Than that means . . .!
*Outside, the Chaotix & the Dark Legion were kicking dingo butt*
Sonic: Uh-huh. You know "Kagey," you might not be as dumb as you look. *Kage rushed towards us, screaming. but we dodged* Or . . . You just might be! *he was sent crashing into a wall, getting his head stuck* Works every time.
Abigail: C'mon, Sonic. Don't antagonize him. I think he's already been through enough.
Sonic: Yeah, yeah, yeah. *we both turned to Harry* Harry, right? The double agent?
Harry: Y - Yes.
Abigail: Good. *I held out my hand to him & helped him stand up* Thanks for all you hard work.
Harry: Uh . . . Sure.
*Just then, Knuckles entered the room*
Locke: Well, hello, son.
Knuckles: Dad!
*Harry handed him a key*
Harry: Quick! Here's the key to the shackles!
Sonic: I'll keep a lookout!
*While he stood guard, Knuckles & I got his Dad free*
Abigail: Are you okay, sir?
Locke: I'll be fine, young lady. It'll take more than a few dingos love taps to take out a Guardian. *he turned to Knuckles, who had tears in his eyes* By the way, son . . . You're a sight for sore eyes.
*Suddenly, Kage got himself free from the wall & turned to us, looking furious*
General Kage: By the time I'm through with you, echidna, your eyes won't be the only body parts that are sore!
*Sonic, Knuckles, & I smirked at each other. Then we all sent him flying with our attacks*
Sonic: So how are the Chaotix handling things outside this so-called stronghold, Rad Red?
Knuckles: Between them, and the DL, it's a butt-kicking extravaganza, True Blue!
Abigail: Good. Now let's get out of here and help them finish up.
*Suddenly, Dr. Eggman's ugly face appeared on a computer screen*
Dr. Eggman: Don't pay yourselves on the back so soon, cretins! You didn't think I'd be foolish enough to put all my egg in one basket, did you? Didn't believe I would rely on the echidna's confession as my sole means of tracking the Master Emerald. While you've been wasting time in Dingo City, playing "search and rescue," I've dispatched one of my agents to find the Emerald for me. I'm extremely confident he'll be successful. *our eyes went wide when we saw an adult overlander with black hair, with gray stripes, blue eyes, caucasian skin, & wearing a bone necklace & a black & red Eggman Empire Uniform come out of a Ring at the echidna campsite* You see . . . He's really quite the hunter!
