Mobius: 25 Years Later

(Abigail's POV)
*In a secluded room in Castle Mobius (look up "Castle Mobius" on "Mobius Encyclopaedia"), Sally (look up "Sally (Light Mobius)" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") & I (my hair was in a low ponytail & I was wearing my Grandmother's pendant, a short-sleeved beige blouse with brown buttons under a light brown suspender skirt, & dark brown high-heels (look up "Rin Natsuki (Adult) [Kibou no Chikara Render]" by "FFPreCureSpain" on "DeviantArt")) were having a small party for my 10 year son, Daniel, Danny for short, (a young black male hedgehog with orange stripes, blue eyes, peach skin, a cat tail, & wearing white fingerless gloves, white socks, & blue, yellow, & black shoes (look up "Abigail and Shadow's Children" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt")). He was sitting at a little table with a cupcake, with a birthday candle in it, in front of him. I was also holding my one year old daughter, Maria (an orange & black striped female baby hedgehog with red eyes, a peach muzzle, & a cat's tail, wrapped in a pink blanket (look up "Baby Maria" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt"))*
Abigail & Sally: Happy 10th birthday, Danny!
Maria: Ga, ga!
Danny: Thanks, Mom. Maria. Aunt Sally.
*He blew out the candles & we both clapped*
Abigail:*off-screen* It's been 25 years since Sonic disappeared during the second Robotnik War. Sally was now Queen, but was also married to Shadow, which made him King. Thankfully, there was no love between either of them, since he only married her for her political connections. So he made me his Mistress instead, not that Sally minded. It was during these years that I gave birth to our son, Daniel, Danny for short (Gerald is his middle name) & our daughter, Maria. Shadow made Danny the Crown Prince. But the people think Sally's his Mother because Shadow wanted to keep our relationship hidden, to protect his image. So it's always her standing by my son when they make public appearances with Shadow. While I have to stay inside my room. But I have found ways to stay with my son, like disguising as a maid during formal dinners. I also have to hid Maria since she looks more like me than Shadow. The only people who know the truth are Sally, the castle staff, and . . .
*Suddenly, the door burst open & Lien-Da stepped into the room with two Dark Presence agents behind her*
Abigail:*off-screen* Lien-Da and the Dark Legion, now calling themselves the Dark Presence, worked for Shadow as his enforcers.
Lien-Da: Pardon the intrusion ladies, but his Majesty, the King, would like to speak to the Crown Prince, alone.
*Sally & I started to get nervous. Whenever Shadow wants to see Danny we never know what he's going to do. Danny clung to my leg & Maria started whimpering. They've never liked Lien-Da. I kneeled down to his level*
Abigail: It's okay, Danny. I'll be right here when you get back. I promise.
*Danny was quiet for a moment. Then he nodded*
Daniel: Okay, Mom.
*He went to Lien-Da & followed her & the two agents out of the room*
(Third-Person POV)
*Danny followed Lien-Da & the two agents all the way to the balcony, Shadow (look up "Shadow the Hedgehog (Light Mobius)" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") was waiting for them. Lien-Da & the two agents bowed to him*
Lien-Da: Your Majesty. We've brought the Crown Prince.
King Shadow: Excellent. That will be all, Lien-Da. You can go now.
Lien-Da: Yes, Your Majesty.
*She & the agents bowed & left. Daniel & Shadow stood in silence for a solid minute*
Daniel: You wanted to see me, Da - *Shadow glared at him over his shoulder* I mean, Father.
King Shadow: Yes. Come here. *Danny stepped on to the balcony* Look out there, my son. What do you see?
*Danny looked over the balcony railing*
Daniel: I see Portal City and all it's people.
King Shadow: Yes. And do you know what separates us from them?
Daniel: Uh . . . That we live in a giant palace?
King Shadow: Well, yes. That's one reason. But the main reason is that you and I are far stronger and more powerful than them. *his hand glowed green with Chaos Energy* As my son, you possess the same power as I do. Probably much more. *Danny's hand glowed with Chaos Energy too* Good. And I expect you to use this power to rule this world just as I am when the time comes.
Daniel: But, I -
*Shadow glared at him again*
King Shadow: But what?
Daniel: N - Nothing, sir.
King Shadow: Good. That is all. You are excused. *Danny started to leave* Oh, and Daniel. *he stopped & turned to his Father* Happy birthday.
*Danny looked a little surprised, but just gave him a small smile & left*
(Abigail's POV)
*Danny arrived back in our room, looking ready to cry just as I put Maria down in her crib*
Abigail: Oh, Danny. *I ran to him & hugged him. Sally stood over us* What happened?
Daniel: He told me that he wants me to rule the Kingdom like he does someday. But I don't . . . *he started to cry* I don't want to! I don't even want to be King!
*Sally & I both hugged him, wishing there was a way out of this living nightmare*
*That night, after I put Danny to bed, I heard a commotion outside. Looked out the bedroom window & my eyes went wide. I saw Lara-Su (look up "Lara-Su" on "Sonic Zone Wiki"), Knuckles & Julie-Su's daughter, & Tails (look up "Miles "Tails" Prower (Light Mobius)" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") were being led to the dungeon in handcuffs, along with a very familiar hedgehog I thought I'd never see again*
Abigail:*in her mind* S - Sonic! He's alive!
Daniel:*off-screen* Mom? *I turned around & saw that the noise had woken him up**on-screen* What's going on? What was that noise?
*I quickly went to him*
Abigail: I'll go see what it was. For now, you go back to sleep.
Daniel:*yawn* Okay, Mom.
*He went back to sleep. Then I quietly left the room. I tip toed down the hallway, on my way to the dungeon. But instead, I bumped into Sonic & Knuckles (look up "Knuckles the Echidna (Light Mobius)" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") in the hallway. Not able to hold myself back, immediately hugged Sonic*
Abigail: Sonic!
Sonic: Whoa! Good to see you, Abby.
Abigail: Where have you been all these years!?
Sonic: It's a long story. One I don't have time to explain.
Knuckles: He's right. We have to stop King Shadow now!
*I was surprised at what I had just heard. But I quickly got over it. If this worked, I, my children, along with the whole world, would finally be free from Shadow's tyranny*
Abigail: Let me come with you. I probably won't be much help, but I'll do anything I can.
*They both nodded & we ran down the hall to the throne room*
Knuckles: I'm turning against my own forces. Can't help but feel guilty.
Sonic: Some how, I don't think they'll hold it against you. *then he turned to me* Abby, you should probably stay out of sight. You'll be safer here.
Abigail: No argument there. I can't let Shadow know I'm here. Who knows what he'll do is he does.
*I felt myself shaking*
(Sonic's POV)
Sonic:*in his mind* Geeze, Shadow. What did you do to her?
(Abigail's POV)
*As soon as they opened the doors to the throne room, I ducked behind a statue to watch & stay out of the way*
Sonic: Who order the extra large butt-whooping, heavy on the poetic justice!?
Knuckles: You've been working on that since you were arrested, haven't you?
Sonic: You better believe it.
*Shadow & Sally stood at the thrones together*
Knuckles: Queen Sally, I ask you to come with me.
King Shadow: It's about time you returned, King Sonic. No love lost, my Queen.
*Sally went over to Knuckles*
Queen Sally: You know about the other timeline?
Abigail:*in her mind* Other timeline?
King Shadow: Of course. Lien-Da aside, I am the Master of Time and Space. Remember Chaos Control?
*Knuckles got Sally out of the room*
Sonic: Now that Sally's safe, battle Royal time!
*He zoomed in for a punch, but Shadow dodged. Then he glared at Sonic, threw off his cape, & spin dashed him*
King Shadow: You are old. Past your prime. *then he kicked him* I am the Ultimate Lifeform. I never age. *then he punched him* You were barley a challenge twenty-five years ago. Today you are nothing.
*Then Lien-Da flew in, knocking Shadow away from Sonic*
Lara-Su: Try picking on someone you're age!
*He threw a punch, but she dodged it*
King Shadow: You are what passes as a cavalry?
Lara-Su: I'm tops in my class, if that counts for anything. *she kicked him, but he blocked it* What's the matter, Ultimate Lifeform? Shouldn't you have beaten me by now?
King Shadow: You have your Father's arrogance . . . *he sent out green flames, but Lara dodged* But I control the power of Chaos.
*Her fist started to glow green too*
Lara-Su: Join the club. *she sent a Chaos Spear at him, but he blocked it* Chaos Spear!
King Shadow: The servers are the seven Chaos . . . Chaos Spear!
*She redirected his own spear*
Lara-Su: Chaos is power enriched by the heart! *she got hit in the shoulder by Shadow's Chaos Spear* Nngh! Chaos Control!
*Then Shadow was frozen by her Chaos power. Sonic got up & I came out of hiding*
Sonic: Way to go, Lara-Su. How long will that last?
Lara-Su: I'm not sure. But I don't think my great-great-great-great grandkids will have to worry. *then she noticed me* Aunt Abby? What are you doing here?
Abigail: Just for backup. *I turned to the frozen Shadow* I'm sorry it has to be this way, Shadow. But you're not the man I loved anymore.
*I turned away from him. Then the door burst open & Knuckles & Sally came in*
Knuckles: Lara-Su! Are you all right?
Lara-Su: Only a little burn, Daddy. I beat King Shadow!
Knuckles: Your Mother is going to flip. But she will be so proud. You've been amazing.
*He hugged her*
Lara-Su: Thanks, Daddy. *then they left* I already took care of him. Weren't you that fast at my age?
*Sonic & Sally turned to each other, looking shy*
Sonic: Hey there . . . Your Highness . . .
Sally: Hello, Sonic . . .
Abigail: I'll leave you two alone. I have to go check on Danny.
Sally: Okay. We'll explain everything to him in the morning.
Sonic: Who's Danny?
Sally: Like I said, we'll explain everything in the morning.
*Then I left & headed to Danny's room, to find still fast asleep. I sat on his bed & stroked his head*
Abigail: Everything's going to be okay now, my love. We're finally free.
