(Abigail's POV)

*Sally & I both had Silver's arms, who was still asleep, over our shoulders while we led Maria & the twins to the Panic Room*

Queen Sally: Keep up, kids. We need to get to the special hidey-room.

Maria: Mommy! Mommy! Is this a game? It's awfully late to be playing games, you know.

Abigail: I know, sweetheart. This isn't a game.

Sonia: Why are you carrying this sleeping guy?

Queen Sally: Mr. Silver was knocked out by the enemy. He's the one who stopped the rocket in morning, remember?

Sonia: Oh yeah! That really was nice of him. Wait a minute, enemy? In the castle? Well, we'll just tell them to leave!

*She started to head back, but Sally grabbed her hand*

Queen Sally: No, dear. The castle has been locked down we need to get where it's safe

Manik:*yawn* I have to go to the bathroom.

Abigail: Once we're in the Panic Room, dear.

Maria: Panic Room?

Abigail: I mean, hidey-room.

Maria: W - Where are big brother and Uncle Sonic?

Abigail: I'm sure they're both safe. While we hide away, they've gone to get help.

(Daniel's POV)

*We arrived at a house & Argyle (look up "Argyle the Crocodile" by "Sonic Zone Wiki"), Uncle Vector's son, let us in*

Lien-Da: Hey. Sorry to call you so late.

Argyle: Don't sweat it, Lara. Desperate times, desperate measures and all that jazz. *he turned to me & gave me a high-five* Hey, Danny. Great to see ya.

Daniel: You too, Argyle.

*Then he bowed to Uncle Sonic*

Argyle: Your Majesty!

King Sonic: Relax. We've got too much going on tonight to stand on formality. *then Argyle shook hand with Melody* Do you all know each other?

Argyle: No, but I know your parents. It's pleasure and an honor.

Melody: Same here! I mean, c'mon, your Dad is head of the Chaotix!

King Sonic: Yeah, about them. Tails - er - Miles and Mina have been caught by the Dark Presence.

Lara-Su: Our parents and the rest of the Chaotix are peace-keeping all over Mobius.

Argyle: Right. They're too far away to call at this point.

Daniel: Castle Mobius is in full lock-down. I'm sure Mom, Maria, and the rest of the Royal Family are safe, but we're still up against a lot

Melody: So we're putting the Freedom Fighters back together!

Argyle: When Lara called ahead looking for a safe-hoise, I figured you might need some help. So I called a couple of friends who were in town for your big speech. You guys can make your dramatic entrance now.

*Two familiar faces entered the room*

Daniel & King Sonic: No way!

(Third-Person POV)

*Back in the castle catacombs, Lien-Da & the two Dark Presence agents were checking over Shadow*

Lien-Da: Welcome back to us, Your Majesty.

King Shadow: What has happened? The last thing I remember was fighting the Guardian's daughter in my throne room.

Lien-Da: She used Chaos Control to freeze you in time. You've been sealed in your own catacombs. Your suspended animation maintained by this device.

Dark Hand Agent #1: He checks out. All vitals are stable.

*They unhooked him*

Lien-Da: After five years? You are the Ultimate Lifeform, sire.

King Shadow: Five years!?

Lien-Da: Yes sir. The Queen has remarried and had twins. The world has mostly accepted their - *he headed towards the door* Um . . .

King Shadow: Follow. Keep talking. What about Abigail, Daniel, and Maria?

Lien-Da: Your Mistress, the Crown Prince, and Princess have been living in Castle Mobius, as per the Queen's special request. The Crown Prince seems to have chosen to use his Chaos powers for the good of the people. He seems to show no desire to follow in your footsteps.

*Shadow's eyes narrowed hearing that*

Lien-Da: As I was saying; most of the world has gone along with their new rules. We've tried to destabilize things, but the Chaotix and popular opinion have kept us at bay. *he stopped at another set of doors* We've been working diligently for this day. The Castle has been secured and you've been freed. The world is poised for your return set it back on track.

*He put his hand on a scan-pad*

King Shadow: No. Vocal override: "Maria's wish."

Lien-Da: No? I don't understand, sire.

The doors opened. Her eyes went wide at what she saw on the room, which was full of a green glow*

King Shadow: Regaining control is not enough. The world must be punished for it's inaction. For my disgrace.

Lien-Da: N - No! Not with that!

(Daniel's POV)

*It turned out the ones Argyle had called were Jacques (look up "Jacques D'Coolette" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") & Belle (look up "Belle D'Coolette" on "Sonic Zone Wiki"), Aunt Bunnie & Uncle Antoine's twins*

Daniel: I didn't know you guys were on the island!

King Sonic: It's great to see you! How are Bunnie and "Twan?

Belle: They're doing just fine, thanks.

*Jacques kissed Lara's hand, making Argyle jealous*

Jacques: Enchante, Mademoiselle. I do not believe I have had the pleasure.

Lara-Su: I, er, no . . .

*Uncle Sonic pulled him away*

King Sonic: Easy there, son.

Daniel: You should have come by the Castle!

*Then Belle started flirting with Argyle, making Lara jealous*

Belle: We were planning to tomorrow, but then Argyle gave us the rallying call.

Argyle: I, well, a-heh . . .

*Then she & Jacques bowed to Uncle Sonic*

Jacques: Of course, we are here to serve Your Majesty.

King Sonic: And we're glad to have you. So our Freedom Fighters are up to five members.

*Melody snapped her fingers three times, looking sassy*

Melody: Excuse me, but there's seven! We're going to help rescue our parents too! Right, Skye?

Skye: R - Right. Right! We're coming with you. Of that's okay with you.

Argyle: Don't count me out! I can do more than provide a staging ground. I can pirate the Dark Presence's signal and keep you all updated.

King Sonic: All right then! Freedom Fighters! Let's do it to it!

Lara-Su: I told you he says it!

Argyle: I know! I'm geeking out!

*Later, I used my hover-shoes to follow Uncle Sonic as we zoomed & crashed though and Castle Gates. Jacques & Belle were flying next to us*

King Sonic: I never get tired of the direct approach!

Daniel: I can see why!

*We made it up to the front door*

Jacques: The front gate was one thing, sire.

Belle: But we'd feel awful about wrecking your front door.

Daniel: Don't worry. I have a feeling you have to in 3 . . . 2 . . .1.

*Then, right on cue, the doors opened & Melody came out*

Melody: Come on in! The castle's fine!

*We all followed her in*

King Sonic: Nice work, kiddo. The defensive grid is down?

Melody: Eee-hee-eek! Skyler and Lara-Su are working on that now!

*Uncle Sonic & I contacted Argyle through our ear-pieces*

King Sonic: How are we doing, Argyle? Any word from Sally or Abby?

Argyle:*off-screen* Not yet, sire, but I can confirm they're in the Panic Room. I'll keep paging them. Most of the Dark Presence is a mess right now. They know they're under attack, but they've got no idea who you are, how many, or where . . . Whoa.

Daniel: Argyle?

Argyle:*off-screen* I can't tell what they're yelling about, but something big is going down in the catacombs.

King Sonic: One thing at a time. Lara-Su, we're at the rendezvous point. How's the defensive grid coming?

Lara-Su:*off-screen* Wrapping thing up here - just a second!

King Sonic: Can you see what's going on below?

Lara-Su:*off-screen* No. That monitor was busted in the - er - scuffle.

*A few minutes later, Lara & Skye caught up with us*

Argyle:*off-screen* I got through to the Queen and Lady Abigail. Patching them through now.

King Sonic: Hey, Sal! How're you and the kids?

Daniel: Mom! Are you and Maria okay?

Abigail:*off-screen* We're all just fine, honey. Silver's coming around now.

Manik:*off-screen* Dad! Dad! You were awesome! Where did you find Freedom Fighters!?

King Sonic: Ah, the room's got monitors, doesn't it?

Queen Sally:*off-screen* Sure does. You and Danny have been marvelous.

King Sonic: We're not done yet. Danny's already figured out what the Dark Presence are up to. They're trying to resurrect Shadow from his suspended animation.

*I already knew my Mom was getting scared right now*

Manik:*off-screen* Dad! Hey Dad!

King Sonic: One sec, Manik. I know that the dungeons are also down there, but was else?

Queen Sally:*off-screen* Only the most dangerous threats to Mobius that had to be Quarantined.

King Sonic: Like what?

Queen Sally:*off-screen* Well, E-107 Theta, the Anarchy Beryl Bomb, and . . .

*Later, we were all making out way towards the catacombs*

King Sonic: This is it folks. The big push. Be ready for heavy resistance from - *suddenly, a bunch of Dark Presence agents ran past us, panicking* the Dark Presence. Huh.

Daniel: What? Weird.

*Suddenly, everything started to shake*

Lara-Su: You're a veteran hero, sire. Is that a good sign?

King Sonic: That's never a good sign.

*Just then, a big crack formed in the floor, separating us. Jacques picked up Melody*

Jacques: I've got you.

*Then water started gushing in*

King Sonic: Watch yourselves! Lara, get Skye!

Belle: And you and Danny come with me, sire.

*She picked up me & Uncle Sonic while Lara got Skye*

Skye: I - I - I can fly . . .

Lara-Su: Let me help this time, okay?

*We all looked up at the castle with wife eyes*

King Sonic: Remember how you didn't want to wreck the front door? *a giant green monster with yellow eyes (look up "Perfect Tikhaos" on "Sonic Zone Wiki") was destroying the castle* You can stop worrying about it now.
