*Outside of New Mobotropolis, a hooded figure was standing on a cliff & looking at the city through a pair of binoculars*

Hooded Figure: New Mobotropolis . . . Now that's a sight for sore eyes. *she took off her cloak* Hold on for me just a little longer, dear. I'm coming.

*She started climbing down the cliff*

*In the Council room of Acorn Castle, the Council of Acorn was having a meeting to discuss something very important*

Hamlin: We appreciate you sitting in for the Royal Wizard, Geoffrey St. John, but with a member of the Freedom Fighters currently out of commission, these talks about war against the Eggman Empire are pointless.

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): You . . . A - Are right, of course, Councilor Hamlin.

Rosemary: Aside from the Lake of Rings, is there any other way to create Power Rings for Antoine.

Uncle Chuck: Not without Nate Morgan. Without even his notes, I could never replicate his work. Besides, we've tried that already, and it's not working the same way it does for Sonic.

King Nigel Acorn: Is there any other way to help him?

Dylan: What about the Special Zone?

Penelope: Not likely! Feist still guards that Zone, and trying getting anything from him is a waist of time.

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): Now, now, all of this is unnecessary. I'm sure Nicole's efforts will be sufficient to revive Antoine. Let's not rush her.

Geoffrey St. John:*off-screen* The irony, this Bloke defending Nicole after he -

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus):*in his mind* Quiet!

Penelope: How ironic. Defending Nicole after our Royal Wizard condemned her.

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): I beg your pardon?

Penelope: Not only that, but even after obtaining our permission to wield Naugus's staff to defend the city, during the last attack, there were reports of you fleeing the battlefield! You continue to come to us with demands you claim are at your Master's behest, and have produced no results to show for them! Unless the Royal Wizard makes a personal audience with the Council, we can no longer - *just then, Naugus used his magic on her* N - No longer . . . Uh . . .

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): Of course. please forgive my insolvence. I allowed my concern for my Master cloud my judgement, and my overconfidence nearly put the city in danger. I swear it will not happen again.

Penelope: R - Right.

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): But back to my earlier point, I do not share my Master's distrust of Nicole. Once my Master is restored to full health, New Mobotropolis and Knotehole will be safe from any threat, including Dr. Eggman.

(Abigail's POV)

*It's been day since we got Sally back. We were all having a meeting at Freedom HQ to discuss how to bring Antoine back to full health*

Sonic: Okay, gang. Now that we finally have some time to breathe, I think our next order of business should be how we can help Antoine.

Cream: Is there any way we can wake Mr. D'Coolette up?

*Bunnie looked like she was ready to cry*

Tails: Not at the moment. We've tried using Power Rings, but they don't to be as compatible with his body as they are with me or Sonic.

Rotor: We wanted to avoid this option, for a number of reasons . . . But at this point, our only choice is to use a Chaos Emerald. Geoffrey, can you help us appeal to borrow the one in Naugus's possession?

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): No! You can't have it! It's mine! *we all looked at him in shock at his outburst* Ahem! Pardon me. What I meant is, I doubt it would do any good for the poor Bloke. And I can't imagine my Master agreeing to part with it for even a moment.

Sonic: You mean my Emerald, backshooter?

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): How dare you . . .

(Third-Person POV)

Geoffrey St. John: Those mutations . . . Naugus used the Chaos Emerald to supress them, didn't he? But could that be what's making his condition deteriorate? If he shared some of the power to save D'Coolette, then maybe . . .

Ixis Naugus: A keen observation, my apprentice! And who better to serve as my next host than a broken shell with no mind to conquer?

Geoffrey St. John: Y - You heard that!? No, wait! It's a bad idea! Terrible!

Ixis Naugus: Your cunning continues to serve your Master well!

Geoffrey St. John: Please, I'm begging you!

(Abigail's POV)

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): You know what, Mate? You're right. I think I can convince my Master to heal the Commander as a goodwill gesture

Sonic: Alright. Glad that's sorted.

Sally: I want to be by his side during the procedure, if that's okay. If he can help, I don't have reason to doubt his capabilities, but still . . .

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): And what do you mean by that, Luv? After everything the Royal Wizard has done for this city, you still doubt his intentions.

Sally: I - I don't know exactly what happened since he became the Royal Wizard, but Naugus enslaved my Father and tried to kill Sonic multi times! Even if he has the Kingdom's best interests at heart, I can't just -

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): That's rich, coming from Eggman's favorite little puppet that tried to kill Sonic and put D'Coolette in the hospital in the first place.

*Sally ran out of the room in tears. Sonic just glared at him & ran after Sally*

SLAP!

*That was the sound of me slapping him across the face before Bunnie & i went after them. Huck just blew a raspberry at him before coming after me*

(Third-Person POV)

*Everyone glared at him too*

Geoffrey St. John (Ixis Naugus): Don't give me that look. I know you lot were thinking the same thing. You should thank me for saving you all the trouble.

*At the city gates, two brown bears, one male & one female (wearing the same uniform as Antoine) (see Chapter 1 if you forgot).

Male Guard: Halt! Who goes there!

?:*off-screen* Is that any way to welcome an agent returning from duty?

Female Guard: Wait you're . . .!

?:*off-screen* Let's skip the formalities. Where are the Royal Wizard and his apprentice?

Male Guard: R - Right . . . The Royal Wizard is currently bedridden at the moment . . . But his apprentice is making a visit to a patient in the hospital.

Female Guard: I'd wager it's the Commander's room again. He's been in intensive care for weeks.

?: So it was true . . . Alright. Thanks for the information.

*The figure ran past them & into the city*

Male Guard: Sheesh . . . She could give Sonic a run for his money.

Female Guard: Can you blame her? After so long, I'd be in a hurry to see my husband too. Especially if he thought I was dead.

(Abigail's POV)

*Bunnie, Huck, & I found Sonic & Sally kneeling by the Lake of Rings in Knotehole. He was hugging her while she cried on his shoulder*

Abigail: Sally? Are you okay?

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao?

Sally: No! I'm not! Geoffrey was right! It's my fault we're all in this mess! If only I had taken care of Eggman when I had the chance, he wouldn't have rebuilt the Death Egg, I wouldn't have been Robotized, and then I wouldn't have done all those terrible things!

*For a while, none of us said a word. Then I put a hand on Sally's shoulder & she looked at me*

Abigail: Sally, don't pay any attention to what he says. Everyone knows that it wasn't really you doing those things.

Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.

Bunnie: Abby-Girl is right. We all know the real you. And if there are some who are still afraid of you, then that's their problem.

Sonic: You're our friend, Sally. Never forget that.

*Sally looked away from us, still looked unconvinced. Just then, Sally felt tap on her shoulder. She turned to her left & saw Huck, hovering in front of her, holding a daisy. He then put it in her hair & nuzzled her cheek, making her giggle a little*

Sally: Thanks guys.

*She gave Sonic & Huck a quick kiss on the cheek each & hugged me & Bunnie*

*We all made our way back to New Mobotropolis. Suddenly, we all heard a loud boom. We looked towards the castle, & saw a gigantic storm forming over it. And standing on top of the tallest tower was some kind of monster. Which was a combination of a skunk, a rhino, a bat, & a lobster. But what really shocked us all wasn't that Hershey the Cat was alive, but currently unconscious & in the monster's claw*

Ixis Naugus: Citizens of New Mobotropolis and Knotehole! Offer your body to your rightful King, or this woman will die at the hands of her own beloved!
