(Abigail's POV)
*It took a few hours, but we finally found Dr. Eggman's train. Me, with Huck on my shoulder, Lacey, Sally, & Rotor were on airboards, Tails was flying the Tornado with Sonic riding on the wing, Antoine was flying the Twister with Amy on the wing, & Bunnie was flying with her rocket feet*
Sally:*off-screen* Hours ago, Dr. Eggman sent a Badnik horde to Spagonia University. The Badniks raided the offices for documents, scientific samples, and researchers. They took Uncle Chuck and his colleague, Prof. Pickle. Thanks to the access codes Bunnie and I 'borrowed' from the Death Egg, we know they're being transported for pickup at the Bullet Station in Tail Canyon. Freedom Fighters! We are not letting Eggman get away with this.
Sonic: Woo-hoo! Here we go!
Sally:*off-screen* Team Freedom will cover the rescue. Tails and Antoine, you'll take Sonic and Amy down on the Tornado and Twister. You two will whisk the Professor's to safety.
Sonic: Ahh . . . The wind in my spines . . . It's almost like we're going fast . . . Heh-heh!
Antoine:*off-screen* Pardon, but . . . Well above the ze tress, oui?
Sally:*off-screen* Sorry, Antoine. You need to be within immediate striking distance. You and Tails are ace pilots. I know you can handle it. *she, Bunnie, Lacey, & Rotor landed on the front of the train & tried to open roof hatch using a Omnitool* I'll lead Team Fighters to take control of the train and find out where those poor pop professors are being held.
Sonic: Sure, if you want to do things the safe, slow way . . .
Abigail: Sonic!
Sonic: What?
(Lacey's POV)
Rotor: No good! There's no hatch contract and this doesn't have enough juice to cut through the armor.
Bunnie: Then stand back, Sugah. Ah'll make us a way in!
Lacey: Hurry! This wind is murder on my hair!
*Bunnie used her arm laser on the hatch, but it only created a small hole in it*
Bunnie: . . . Huh . . . Well, that's embarrassin' . . .
*Sally took out Nicole's handheld computer*
Sally: Not to worry, Bunnie. We can make this work.
*She dropped the device into the hole & hit the floor with a loud thunk. Nicole appeared in her lynx form*
Nicole: Gently, please. My components are one-of-a-kind.
*She started hacking into the train's computer*
Sally: Sorry, but no one else would fit! Can you take control of the train's systems?
Nicole: It's running on the standard Egg-Os. I can get in, but it will take a few minutes.
Sally: Hurry. We don't know what this thing has for defenses.
*Just then, I saw a big robot come to life & make it's way towards Nicole*
Lacey: Nicole! Behind you!
*Nicole turned around & saw the robot*
Nicole: I think I have an idea on those defenses. I - I don't suppose you're one of those rogue Badniks on our side . . .
*The robot attacks her, damaging the computer. The train's speed started to pick up. I grabbed on to Bunnie as she grabbed Sally & Rotor*
(Abigail's POV)
Amy: The train's accelerating! Fly faster!
Antoine: It's all I can be doing to be keeping up level!
Sonic: Amy! Something's happened! Forget the plan! We're doing this car-by-car now! *Sonic, Amy, & I jumped on to the train* You start from this end! Abby and I'll run up ahead!
Abigail: And be careful!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*Amy started smashing the hatch in front of her*
Amy: You got it! Open! Open! Open!
(Lacey's POV)
*Nicole dodged another attack from the Badnik*
Nicole: E-100 unit! I'm under attack! Get me out of here!
Sally: Give me your hand!
Nicole: Take me! *she threw her computer towards us. her holographic form disappeared as the Badnik stepped on it* Thank you, Sally.
Lacey: Are you okay?
Nicole: I'm fine. But I'm afraid the train's control's are destroyed. However, I can confirm the professors are aboard the train. Also, while doors between the cars are sealed, I saw that the individual ceiling hatches are less armored.
Sally: So there's no way to stop the train or quickly search the cars.
Nicole: No. And furthermore . . . *the Badnik's claw came through the roof* The E-100 unit does not seem to care about collateral damage.
Sally: So much for finesse. We're going car-by-car now, Team Fighters! Hustle! We need to find the professors and get out of here before the Badniks get us, or before this crazy trains jumps the rails!
*I stuck with Bunnie as she tried to pry a hatch open with her metal arm, which wasn't working*
Bunnie: You stubborn so-and-so! Fine, Ah'll at least get a bit of give by blasting . . .
*Just then, Amy ran up to us*
Amy: NO! Bunnie! Don't shoot! I just came from a car full of missiles!
Bunnie: Oh, mah stars! Ah could've blown us all up!
Amy: Don't . . Don't beat yourself up over it.
Lacey: Some crazy robot made the train go out of control. We don't have time to be delicate.
*Bunnie & I tried to pull it open again*
Amy: Then we'll all do it together on three. One! Two! Three!
*She smashed it open with her hammer. We looked inside, but didn't find the professors*
Bunnie: Shoot! Nothing but fuel and supplies!
Amy: On to the next car then!
*I went ahead & caught up with Sally & Rotor, who were working together to open a hatch*
Rotor: I would've cut through eventually, you know.
Sally: I wasn't making any headway on mine! And we're taking too long! Just a little bit more and . . .
Rotor: Careful. We need to make sure the hatch doesn't fly - *the hatch flew right off the roof, but Rotor caught it* - Off!?
Lacey: Nice catch, Rote.
Rotor: Yeah. Let's not brain someone further down or take out one of the planes with a flying chunk of metal.
*Sally jumped into the car, only to find that it was a giant freezer filled with junk food & ingredients to make sandwiches*
Sally: Brr . . . No good.
Lacey: Okay, someone really needs to talk to Eggman about his eating habits.
(Abigail's POV)
*Sonic was using his spin dash to open the hatches on the roof. Huck & I were right behind him*
*Sonic singing*
Smashing into random cars
Smashing into random cars
Sonic: I got a good feeling about this one! Hold on, Chuck! I'm - *I looked down the opening he just made & saw that he was surrounded by Badniks* In the wrong car. *the Badniks looked ready to attack him* My bad! You guys can go back to sleep . . . Or stand by . . . Or whatever it is Badniks do. I know the way out, so I'll just -
*They attacked him*
Abigail: Sonic! Just get out of there!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*Just then, all the Badniks flew out of the windows.
(Lacey's POV)
*We all saw the Badniks attacking the Tornado & Twister*
Lacey: Oh no!
Sally: Oh, geez . . . Really? *she took* Bunnie! Help the Tornado and Twister with air support!
Bunnie:*off-screen* Ah'm on my way!
Sally: Amy! Move up and help us with the Badnik!
Amy: What!?
*We all started fighting the Badniks*
Sally: Remind me why I didn't have Omochao and T-Pup coordinate comms?
Rotor: Because they couldn't fly fast enough to keep up with the train.
Sally: Right. Remind me to get you and Tails to build us some head sets before the next mission.
Rotor: Can we worry about this mission first!?
Lacey: Good idea! I already have a few designs for the head sets in mind!
*Suddenly, Amy swooped in & destroyed all the Badniks with her hammer*
Amy: Now! *huff* What did you *huff* want?
(Abigail's POV)
*Sonic destroyed all the Badniks with his spin dash & I used my sword. Soon, they were all gone*
Sonic: Heh-heh-whew! You should've just let me walk away. Well, not "walk," I don't walk, but you know what I -
*Suddenly, the train did a sharp turn. Sally, Rotor, Lacey, & I quickly got out our Extreme Gear & flew*
Sally: Where's Amy!?
Rotor: She did an an airboard! She came on the Twister!
*Turns out, Sonic caught her & held her bridal style*
Sonic: And . . . Once again . . . I save the day!
Sally: Oh, thank goodness . . .
Rotor: Nice!
Abigail: Great catch, True Blue!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
Lacey: Great!
Amy: Oh, thank you, Sonic!
Sonic: Yeah-Yeah-Yeah, I'm awesome! Let's save the rest of the hero worship for the victory party. We need to find Chuck and that other Professor guy.
Sally: I've got an idea. Rotor, hold your airboard steady.
*Using the airboards like stairs, Sonic jumped back aboard the train. He gave Amy to Sally*
Sonic: Stick with Sal and Rote. I need to move fast.
Amy: Hmph! Fine!
Sally: Looks like that last turn did us d favor and got rid of the Badniks! Still - we're playing it safe! Lacey and I will stay on our airboards and act as your safety net. Abby, you're with Sonic!
Abigail: You got it!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
(Lacey's POV)
*We got on the train next*
Rotor: I'll weaken the hatch with my Omnitool! Then Amy can bust it open!
Amy: 'Kay! Man, I hope Bunnie and the others are having an easier time!
Lacey: You and me both.
*Suddenly, we felt the train jolt*
Rotor: The professors better be in this car . . .
Amy: What was that!?
Sally: I don't know. Nicole said all the passages between the cars were locked down. Maybe the strain is starting to tear the train apart?
Lacey: I don't know. I get the feeling it's something else!
(Abigail's POV)
*Sonic spin dashed another hatch open & I jumped in after him, just in case*
Sonic: C'mon, Professors!
Abigail: C'mon, no Badniks!
*When we landed in there car, we found Uncle Chuck inside a glass container. Next to him was a male Overlander with gray hair, large gray eyebrows that covered eyes, peach skin, a brown jacket over a white shirt, a red bow-tie, brown pants & brown shoes*
Sonic: Uncle Chuck! Finally!
Uncle Chuck: Sonny-Boy! Abby! I knew you'd come for us!
Abigail: Are you okay?
Huckleberry: Chao!
Uncle Chuck: I'm fine dear, no need to worry.
Professor Pickle: Hmm? Are you tohe porter and stewardess? I'll have you know I am quite displeased with the service on this train. *Uncle Chuck face-palmed* I will have a cucumber sandwich posthaste, if you please?
*Sonic, Huck, & I have Uncle Chuck weird looks & he just shrugged. We then started looking around the container*
Sonic: Hang tight, brainiacs. We'll figure out the best way to bust you out.
Uncle Chuck: Hurry, kids!
Abigail: We know, we know. This train is out of control.
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao.
Uncle Chuck: No, I - well, yes, that. Bit it's about the planet. Dillon's research, the gas samples I was taking in the Great Forest, they all tie together into something bigger!
Sonic: Seriously? The world shattering apart isn't complicated enough?
Abigail: We'll worry about that later, Uncle Chuck. Right now, we have to get you out of here!
Huckleberry: Chao-Chao!
*Suddenly, we all heard a loud thunk*
Professor Pickle: Ah! That must be the lunch cart.
*A giant claw came crashing through the door. Then a giant Badnik came crashing through*
Sonic: Gonna have to put that lunch order on hold, Professor.
