Chapter 18
A week passed.
Suguru wasn't getting use to the married life the least bit! In fact, things altered rather drastically the day Yua left. It was all Satoru's doing of course since he decided that the room had to be altered. "The bed is too small" he stated. "We need a nest bed like everyone else, those look damn comfortable!"
He stood there, rather perplexed. "We're making a nest?" Suguru asked bluntly.
"Yep! Get some blankets!"
Satoru patted him on the shoulder as he left the room very suddenly.
"I really don't know what to make of this…" Suguru muttered to himself. He did spent time gathering materials, blankets, pillows, towels. Yet in his collecting, Choso spotted him with the various good he carried.
A smile came over him. "Nest building? That's a good idea to get something ready and made for Yua's return…"
"Is that why Satoru wanted to make a nest?" Suguru asked aloud.
"It's also Satoru, I cannot answer there."
"You know, that's fair" Suguru stated. Choso smiled as he began to assist in gathering extra materials. Before long, the brothers all got involved, and even some of their children too. Toshi was babysitting Ryoto but he watched everything from afar and made suggestions when needed. It was odd, as it became a group event!
The curse womb brothers were giving their input, at the same time they were explaining why one bit had to be altered compared to the other. Satoru soon joined as he had gone out and returned with some of the softest blankets he could get his hands on! Then, they remade the nest again to incorporate the blankets.
Suguru didn't realized how possessive this becomes!
He was going to leave the nest for later, but once he got started on it. He couldn't bring himself to stop until he finished it.
It took three hours.
Three hours and the nest was made.
Although…
"Why is it so goddamn big?" Suguru demanded.
"Well, there's three people in the bed!" Satoru snapped back.
Suguru… froze oddly. "You are going to have me sleep in the same bed as you and Yua?"
"Yeah!" he said in a matter of fact tone. "Where else would you sleep? Besides, you are Yua's husband … You're MY husband too!" he said with a grin.
There came a painful eye rolls from all the brothers and their sons who had come to assist in the nest build. "So father, this is what we should be making when we have a female of our own?" asked Sho's son Uchuu.
He nodded proudly to his son's question. "When you have a special lady in your life, you want them comfy and happy. Comfort is greatly important, for you are showing her that you understand her need." He explained.
The brothers nodded to this.
"It also shows your sincerity as well. When you put your efforts to make something for a female, to her, it is silently saying 'I respect you, and you have needs as well. This is how well I can tend to them'. At the same time, do not go overboard, you could look desperate" Toshi stated.
"Then, what is the right balance? How do you know if she is interested?" asked Junpei's son Romero.
"Little things, do simple gestures for the female and see if she takes interest. I do want to warn you that don't do EVERYTHING for the female, or she may make you a slave. There are females who will take advantage of you, just be aware of them." Choso stated.
The sons nodded seriously. But then, they looked to Suguru oddly.
"Huh?"
"We have told our sons that if they wish to know if a female is interested in them, is to do exactly what you did with Yua. Keep a respectable distance, offer to help, don't just jump in… unless a female shoved you in that general direction to do so… most of the time they are attempting to hook a friend up if that's the case. But just be there if needed. If she is interested, she will approach you." Said Noranso. "I think that is rather solid advice!"
Suguru rolled his eyes to it all, but he couldn't help but smirk either.
He turned and peered down at Ryoto in Toshi's arms. The kid was cute he will admit, but it's hard to wrap one's head around the notion that that child is the child of Ryomen Sukuna. "He's a rather complacent child…" Toshi said offhandedly. "He likes to sleep and eat… and apparently poo according to Sukuna…"
"I would pay to see the king of curses change a diaper at least once!" snickered Gojo.
"Strange, I was going to say the same thing about you" Suguru replied.
"HEY! I changed diapers! I changed Yuuji!"
"Don't remind us" the brothers sighed.
Suguru smirked but sighed. "If anything, Satoru… from this moment on. I am going to hold you accountable!" he said. "Yua may let you off the hook, but since I am staying… I am going to make certain that things are evened out around here…"
Satoru paused to his decree. "You are going to make sure I am held accountable?!" he demanded. "Since…"
Everyone glared at Satoru at this point. He couldn't bring himself to speak, but sighed in defeat. "Fine…" he muttered.
"I should keep you guys around!" Suguru laughed.
