Erin's POV

"I seriously doubt I'm even going to qualify for this tournament," I told Yugi as we exited school.

Seto Kaiba decided he was throwing a tournament and a few days ago Zane and I got invitations to participate. Joey and Tristan were in one of their extracurricular activities and Tea had dance practice which left me hanging out with Yugi.

"You shouldn't doubt yourself, Erin, you never know," Yugi said in encouragement.

"Is that you or Yami telling me that?"

Yugi decided I was trustworthy to know about the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle. The first time I saw the King of Games transform I almost had a heart attack. Yugi's alter ego was handsome and very sweet. In fact, he even sensed my nine-tailed fox heritage so now Yami and Yugi knew about that. The others didn't just yet.

"I only added my support" Yami replied.

Yeah, I could see his spirit whenever it was around. That was one of the advantages of being a nine-tailed fox.

"I also hate the school uniform" I growled. "Who the hell designs pink uniforms?"

Both Yugi and Yami chuckled at this. Whenever school was over I changed out of my uniform and into regular clothes. I was meeting Zane at one of the game shops that were giving away the duel disks and registration for the Battle City Tournament.

Yami disappeared when we saw Zane leaning against the wall. Nearby some girls were giggling and I smirked. Zane tended to draw in girls and I loved teasing him about it.

"Hope we didn't keep you waiting bro" I greeted my older sibling.

"Nah I finished class fifteen minutes ago, hey Yugi"

Zane then saw I was out of my uniform and a smirk came to his lips.

"Zip it big brother" I warned the silverette in a warning tone.

Yugi chuckled nervously before suggesting we go inside. The shop was empty except for the employees doing the Battle City registration.

"Ladies first" Zane joked. I gave my brother the middle finger which made Yugi blush.

"Here to register for the Battle City Tournament?" the closest employee inquired as I approached her.

"Yeah the name is Erin Randall"

"Okay let's see what if you qualify Ms. Randall"

I really doubt I qualify I thought.

"Here we go"

The employee turned the computer around and my eyes went wide as I saw my picture looking back at me. My magic card "Silver's Cry" was beside it and on the bottom I had four stars.

"Four stars? That's good Erin"

I was then given my duel disk and I was still in shock. Zane then went next and his rank was four stars as well. His card Moonstone Dragon was displayed on the screen.

"Looks like we're entering this tournament together sis"

"Yeah looks like it"

Yugi had to head home to do homework so we parted ways with him outside of the shop.

"You know while this tournament is going on we might run into Seto Kaiba himself"

At the mention of the President of Kaibcorp got me to blush slightly. Zane was smirking evilly now and I glared at him.

"Don't you start teasing me about that"

"What? You always said you thought Kaiba was handsome"

This was true. Seto Kaiba was not only handsome but he was a very talented duelist. And though I wouldn't admit it to anyone I respected Kaiba a lot. Despite his young age, the CEO worked hard to where he was now and I admired that. It was that same motivation that made me perform well in school and earn my degree in graphic design.

"Even if we do run into Kaiba, I'm way out of his league"

"Don't go there sis" Zane interrupted and we stopped walking. "Whoever becomes your mate is worthy of you, even if it's Seto Kaiba himself"

"Pssh that chance of happening is one and in a million" I scoffed.

"I just want you to be happy Erin"

He then ruffled my hair.

" Oh crap"

Zane arched an eyebrow.

"You might be right about running into Kaiba, the Valyrian deck will be in the Kaiba Corp system"

"Aw shit"

Seto Kaiba's POV

"The Valyrian deck? What is that?" Mokuba questioned. For some reason, I couldn't identify the owner of the deck in question. All the information I was given was that the owner was a girl but her identity remained a mystery.

"It's a deck that Pegasus made when he started Duel Monsters" I explained to Mokuba. "The deck has really good dragon cards"

Pegasus made the deck from George R. R. Martin's books called "A Song of Ice & Fire". Each dragon that was in the Valyrian deck came from that series.

"Seto you have your Blue Eyes"

I gave my little brother a smirk.

"True but I never say no to a dragon that looks interesting little brother"

I then pulled up the card that rivaled Blue Eyes. I gestured for Mokuba to come over and he did.

"Oh wow"

On the screen, the monster card "Balerion the Black Dread" looked back at us. His attack and defense points were exactly like Blue Eyes. I then showed Mokuba the other dragons in the deck.

"That's a pretty one," my younger sibling said upon seeing Silverwing. "That card would look great in your deck"

"It is maybe my Blue Eyes could use a girlfriend"

Mokuba snorted before suddenly smirking.

"Maybe you should look for one too"

"Kid don't go there"

Mokuba was always suggesting this. I was too busy running my company to even think about dating. And besides most girls only lusted after me due to my looks, my wealth, etc. My ideal partner had to accept the fact Kaiba Corp and Mokuba were my priority.

"And you don't have any girls interested in you, little brother?"

I loved turning the tables.

"Pssh I wish"

"I'm only teasing you, kid"

Mokuba blushed and I ruffled his hair. I may have a cold demeanor in the eyes of others but not around Mokuba.

Silver's Cry is a cool card and it was the perfect card to be the rarest in Ayleen's deck. She'll use only a handful of the dragons.
