(AN) And here it is: the final chapter of Aftermath; hope you all enjoy.

So, this epilogue has a couple of interesting things that set up the idea of a potential future story.

Chapter Six

Four Years Later

Thanks to the first few years of therapy, David and Amy had started to finally move past their ordeal and had a far more stable relationship. They now lived in a nice little house in Philadelphia. David had finally published his book and it sold well.

One day, David came home from another day at work, where he found Amy sitting in the living room.

"Oh David, you home," said a delighted Amy as she ran over and shared a hug and a kiss with her husband, "There's something I need to tell you."

"What is it?" asked David curiously.

"Well, you've no doubt noticed that I've been a bit emotional lately." said Amy.

"Yes, I've noticed." replied David bluntly.

"As blunt as ever, I see," joked the blonde, "Anyway, I decided to do one of those new pregnancy test things and … well."

Amy suddenly held up a positive pregnancy test. David's eyes widened in surprise. "W-we're having a b-baby?" he asked in shock.

"Yes, David, we are." replied Amy, grinning from ear to ear.

The couple then laughed in delight while hugging.

Back in Wakely, Bobby and Emma Hedden were standing in a graveyard, looking down at two graves: one for Janice; the other for Tom, who had died in jail two years previously. Janice's grave was surrounded by pictures, candles and flowers, while Tom's grave only had a few small flowers.

Bobby went over and gave his dad's grave a light pat, he then turned to his sister, who looked angry.

"Don't worry, Emma, we'll have our revenge," assured Bobby coldly as he wrapped his arms around his sister, "If those animals ever step foot in this village again, then we'll make them suffer for destroying our family."

Emma gave Bobby a weak smile.

(AN) And that was the ending to Aftermath; hope you all enjoyed.

So yeah, those two scenes are there as I do plan to do a sequel set years in the future: basically a take on what if they had done a straight-to DVD style sequel to Straw Dogs.

Just to clarify something that may have confused some readers: Philip is the name of Amy's pet cat, as I'm almost certain she refers to it by that name early in the film.

Until the next time, this is TimeLordMaster108 signing out.
