A year had passed while the Crusher Corp flew through the vast emptiness of space. During this time aside from resting and general maintenance of the ship. In one of the many rooms on the ship, Turles had been training hard with his second-in-command Amond in the training room or as Cacao put it, their disused vehicle bay. Be that as it may, the large room proved perfect for sparring, especially against a worthy sparring partner.
No words were exchanged, rather through the intense exchange of fists. Amond drove his fist straight into Turles' jaw. His head snapped back as he returned the favor, by headbutting the giant red alien, stumbling now from the blow. Turles took advantage, unleashing a flurry of kicks into Amond's chest, said man regained composure quickly, bracing himself as Turles threw another kick, only for Amond to sidestep the attack. Catching Turles off guard, Amond grabbed a hold of his boss's head with his right hand and lifted the Saiyan well above the ground. Firing body blows into his commander with his free hand now. Turles grinned as he saw Amond's mistake in his attack plan and drove his foot into the soft side of his subordinate's head, causing the behemoth to let go.
"A-Amond th-thank you…" Turles panted as he fixed his jaw back into its socket, he was a merciless being, but he at least respected his men, after they had earned it of course.
"You are welcome, Mighty Turles!" Almond proclaimed as if he hadn't taken a while, not a fatal blow to the temple, definitely, one that would have him seeing double for a few days.
--
After getting himself patched up, Turles listened to the recording they had acquired over the Frieza Force communication channels. The broadcasted recording was from the so-called Prince of all Saiyans, Vegeta, Turles smiled as he heard the screams and cries of civilians of the earth as Nappa had used his Volcano explosion. "It would seem the Prince and Nappa have arrived on Earth for those dragon balls," he soon heard the fight between the Saiyand the the Earth's attempt at fighters, from a pompous fool who let himself be killed by a simple Saibaman explosion, what sounded like a midget killing himself to stop Nappa only to prove to be basically nothing. Turles was a little impressed when he saw the power readings from what he could tell was the midget friend, only to laugh when he realized the fool's attack was once again for nothing and he had killed himself by using too much ki. The recording took an interesting turn though, when not only did what was apparently a Saiyan Human hybrid power rise dramatically, to fight Nappa but when a power level of over eight thousand had appeared to stop the Saiyan invades. Sadly for the Saiyan, the recording had stopped when Vegeta had killed his own comrade because he was injured "Nappa's failure resulted in his own death" he had nothing left to say about it choosing to take a rest instead
"I am going to rest now," annoyed by this, Turles walked out of the command room, leaving Amond in charge. Turles's room was located right between the training room and the command center. Upon entering his private chambers, Turles let out a sigh as he gazed upon his room. While most captains would practically paint their private quarters in gold paint made from real gold, Turles still questioned that idea after seeing it on a pirate vessel he hijacked. The Saiyan's walls were a simple gunmetal gray, the room was quite barren outside the modest bathroom that Turles had to himself, a food synthesizer built into the far wall. His bed was large enough to provide a fair level of comfort but not to take up most of the room. Daiz would joke the room could use a plant to liven the room up a bit but Turles never bothered, he knew he either toss it out an airlock or neglect it. Lying on the bed, the Saiyan let out a sigh as sleep overcame him.
--
A five-year-old Turles kitted out in basic Saiyan armor like the rest of his team, comprising himself, a few minor Saiyans, and two mid-class Saiyans. Turles didn't care enough to learn their names, as they arrived for what was supposedly a normal planetary takeover. The aliens here however weren't what Turles expected, they were bat-like, equipped with large ears that had proven to not be for show after one high-strung saiyan had altered practically a whole hive of them, and long nails that were as long as Turles' arm and very sharp after Turles saw one cleave through a boulder like it was nothing. The Saiyan invasion force was able to defend themselves against the almost feral beasts, granted Turles wasn't surprised as he was sure Saiyans would react the same if an enemy force had shown up from space and started blasting at their homes.
To the Saiyan's horror, he learned the bat inhabitants of the planet had another trick up their leathery wings. He watched as another low-class Saiyan screamed as a bat alien grew to eight feet tall, soon overshadowing the Saiyan as it drove its fangs into the invader's neck. Before Turles could process what he was watching, the sounds of a primal roar echoed from behind him as another Saiyan charged at the inhabitant of the rock. Only to be prevented by the bat's claws as it swiped the Saiyans away easily. taking over the battle by using their claws and elongated fangs to deal severe damage to the Saiyan. Soon more of the bat aliens followed in their comrade's footsteps and started growing and charging at the obviously weaker Saiyans.
'Damn, these freaks! They're picking off the cannon fodder. Without those idiots we are going to be overrun. I hate that I have to rely on this power but it's better to fight another day." Turles flared his ki as he flew into the sky and scanned the horizon, once confirming that the moon was hours away, Turles gathered his ki into his hand. Turles let a crazed grin form on his face once he felt the move was ready. He let out a battle as he threw the white ball of energy, thus gaining the attention of his comrades.
"Burst open and mix!" Turles cried as the ball of ki soared through the sky only to burst in the sky and bathe all the Saiyans with blutz waves. Before Turles allowed the beast within to be unleashed he fired off a scatter energy blast that killed a few bat creatures.
Turles laughed at his last attack before he let the blutz rays course through him, the last thing he remembered was the roar of an Oozaru.
--
Turles didn't know how long he had been lost in the haze of his Oozaru transformation, but when he woke up, he found himself on top of a mound of bodies. He was grateful that Saiyan armor could stretch as he climbed down from his kill pile.
According to his superior, after transforming the Oozaru, Turles had grabbed a majority of the remaining bat creatures, crushing them between his palms and rendering them dead within mere moments. The boy lived up to the Saiyan name and a good chunk of the planet only to revert back when the team leader destroyed the artificial moon after confirming the population was annihilated.
"That took care of the problem" Turles had smiled at the chaos he caused as they deemed the planet ready for selling.
"I still can't control my damn Oozaru transformation!" A young low-class Saiyan boy whined, only for a slightly older girl to smack on the back of the head.
She had a slight resemblance to the boy, but Turles wouldn't believe their siblings, as many low-class Saiyans looked the same, possibly due to their environment of upbringing.
"Will you stop whining," the girl complained. "Every mission you're on all I hear this and that about not able to use your-" Turles having heard enough of the girl's rant, moved away and within earshot of the commander as he noticed him act strangely when he had received a message on his scouter.
As turles walked closer to the commander, he got an unusual feeling that something was off. Deciding to not risk it, he ducked under some nearby rubble close to the commander and turned off his scouter.
"Orders in grunts! We're to return to planet Vegeta immediately, let's move out!" The commander gave the order and on instinct, the lower-class Saiyans called up their battle pods. Before the commander could summon his pod, however, another middle-class Saiyan ran up to him.
"Sir, I just did a head count and we're missing a soldier, what should we do? He asked, only for the commander to scoff.
"Forget them, another low class gone missing is no skin off my back, besides the order is for all Saiyans to return, we only have a month to get back to planet Vegeta, and based on how long it took to get here, we'll already running short on time," the commander turned away from the other middle-class Saiyan as he made his way to his pod. "Hey if you want, you can look for the idiot or their body but if the king or Frieza throws a fit, I'm not covering you."
And like that, Turles watched from his hidey hole as his comrades left the planet, after waiting long enough, Turles crawled out from the rubble and stared up at the purple sky of the planet.
'Why would all the Saiyans be called back to planet Vegeta?' Turles racked his mind, trying to come up with a solution. 'Maybe Frieza has a large mission for the Saiyan race, but why would he need every Saiyan, there's no force out there that could be a threat to him and if he wanted his strongest warriors, he wouldn't need every Saiyan. This job likely needs a large amount of cannon fodder, like hell I'm giving up my life that easily!'
Turles scanned the remains of the bat creature home till he saw his pile of corpses, he smiled as he walked to the pile and climbed it, once he reached the apex he let out a primal cry.
"I AM THE SAIYAN TURLES! I CONQUERED THIS PLANET, WIPED OUT IT'S PEOPLE, AND REDUCED IT TO RUBBLE! AND THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF MY STORY!" Turles panted as he finished his declaration, he knew he couldn't survive all on his own yet. But he knew he could reach new heights without the likes of King Vegeta and Lord Frieza looking over him.
--
After scavenging a few tools from some nearby rubble, Turles got to work on disabling his pod's tracking system, knowing that while he was out in the middle of nowhere, someone in the Frieza empire eventually noticed a random signature in the middle of deep space. He was careful to keep the comm system in one piece though. Once his modifications were done, turles climbed into his battle pod and after punching in some random coordinates, the pod shot up through the atmosphere and tore through space.
All the while, Turles was asleep in his pod once he activated the cryo functions in his pod. It was about a month later when the former member of the Frieaza empire was awakened when something had hit his pod and somehow seemed to send everything haywire. Turles braced himself as the pod's one remaining system kicked in and attempted to land on a nearby planet. Granted in Turles's opinion as he was bounced around the pod, it would have been more fitting to call it a barely controlled crash.
Once the pod finally "landed", Turles got himself upright in the pod and looked out of the viewing window. From the crater, he could tell the planet had vegetation and according to his pod scanner, the atmosphere was breathable, he let out a groan upon further examination.
"What, the gravity is half of planet Vegeta's gravity, oh for god's sake and it has the same purple atmosphere as that bat planet, oh and it has purple trees ... .sometimes the universe is stupid." After finding he had made it through the crash in one piece, Turles hit the release on his pod, only to growl when the damn thing refused to budge. The young Saiyan now without his scouter sitting on his ear had kicked the door out of his broken smokey space pod
He quickly was surrounded by short-statured humanoid aliens, they all were wearing what looked like superhero costumes of different colors. Some only wore trunks, others wore full-body suits with capes, and one person wore only what seemed to be his underwear and a red mask.
One of them was wearing leopard trunks and looked like a wildman. He had a big smile on his face and welcomed Turles "Oh hello welcome to Okakaume-boshi!"
"And what are you?" Turles quickly replied disliking their infectious smile, another more costumed Okakaume-seijin answered "Okakaume-seijin," His outfit consisted of a white bodysuit and long black cape looking quite important, his hair had been slicked back which is how he preferred his hair. "You seem young we can take care of you"
"I take care of myself" The young Saiyan spoke rudely bearing his teeth, although he could handle himself and feed himself the aliens were too dense to listen, likely due to Turles being a child. After fighting off a few from trying to examine him for injuries, what seemed to be a mechanic walked past Turles and looked over his smoking pod.
"Back away from my ship!" Turles cried as he pushed a pesky inhabitant away, only to get more annoyed when the mechanic laughed.
"Kid this "ship" you got is on the verge of being scrap metal," the mechanic replied as he tore off a piece of the hull. Having reached his limit, Turles grabbed the mechanic by the collar, this only got him a dirty look from the man.
"Well if you are such an expert then tell me, how long till it's space-worthy?"
The mechanic scratched at some stubble on his chin. "Well a lot of this stuff needs to be repaired and you were low on fuel. It should approximately take ten to thirteen."
"Ten to thirteen days?" Turles asked, the mechanic shook his head
"Try ten to thirteen years you'll probably be in debt when it's finished kiddo. Parts for this are rare out in this part of the galaxy and with the amount you need, will take forever to find, barter, and transport it, and that's before I even start repairing the damn thing."
The young saiyan looked quite annoyed at his answer "Fine whatever! You annoy me, I'm going to get some sleep!" Before leaving though, Turles made sure to grab his scouter once he saw it beeping. The second he tried to walk through the crowd, the wildman in the leopard trunks placed his hand on Turles's shoulder.
"Whoa kid, before you go wandering off, how about we get you a proper home, it's the least we can do," seeing no alternative, Turles took the offer and was escorted to an empty cabin near the crash site, it had three rooms but Turles didn't care, once he saw the bed, he pushed the wildman out and proceed to fall backwards onto the provided bed.
Before he could fall asleep, the wildman called from the front door. "You get hungry, there's a communication in the other room, local delivery guy can get you almost anything to eat!"
After taking some time to relax, Turles took time to explore the cabin properly. In the other two rooms, Turles found the living quarters doubled as a kitchen, the kitchen had a fridge, and a small counter. In the living quarters section was a table, TV, and the communication device the man had told him about. The last room was a bathroom, nothing special about it. He took his time looking around, so he decided to call up this food delivery service. Before the person on the other line could speak, Turles spoke.
"I want some food! I'm starving, give me a large box of meat," the delivery came relatively fast and dropped off by the door. Taking it into the house, Turles tore into it like a feral animal. While the space pod had kept him hypersleep and slowed his body down to a crawl, it didn't mean he would need food or water, especially with his Saiyan appetite.
Later that night after training outside amongst some of the wildlife. Turles would return to the cabin to inspect his scouter, as he slipped the device back on, a message played and from none other than the prince of all Saiyans, Prince Vegeta the Fourth. "Planet Vegeta has been destroyed by a stray meteorite thus whipping out most of the Saiyan race. To all surviving Saiyans still out there, return to Frieza plane-" The young Saiyan removed the scouter and crushed it in his hand. It was a lie told by the Frieza force, no way at the same time that Frieza would recall all of the Saiyans, that random meteorite would somehow slip past every scanner on the planet and whip out the entire species, especially when most high-class Saiyans could destroy planets.
Turles growled as the gears in his head turned and came up with the only logical explanation, Frieza had killed the Saiyan race, the only question being why.
"I will defeat Frieza and build my empire! Soon the mighty Turles, Saiyan deserter will rule this pathetic galaxy!" These were big words from the young Saiyan who fell asleep almost instantly when his head hit the mattress.
--
Turles woke up staring at his ceiling, "I do still wonder why Frieza ordered the destruction of my home planet… what would make him wipe out half of his troops in one move…" Turles brushed off his question "Frieza…has to be stopped that's all there is to it, I will become stronger and build an even greater empire, even if that means ruining many planets and destroying those who cannot harness the Tree of Might"
After getting a quick shower and dressing into another suit of armor he had, he left his room to greet his Crusher Corps with a simple question "How long now?"
"Not too long, Mighty Turles!" The Beenz twins spoke synchronized as Turles smiled.
Next time on Dragon Ball z
Turles and the Crusher Corps arrive on Earth!
