Inside a castle wearing a gold brooch with a transparent purple shawl, white gloves, and a purple & yellow taffeta dress, with her blue hair bound into a bun in the back, the newt, known as Lady Olivia, Olivia for short, stood in the throne room. She was reading a book with a few others near her, standing close to a throne chair that's as big as a moderate cottage. That includes the salamander occupying the chair wearing armor and a cape, known as King Andrias. He was resting his chin on his hand, pondering about something.
"Interesting..." Olivia thought, when suddenly her reading was interrupted by the general, a red newt in full body armor with blonde hair named Yunan, entering the room. "King Andrias." The said salamander heard her and grins. "Ah, Yunan. Any news about the insurgents?" As Yunan begins informing Andrias about the rebels, Olivia gave a sigh and closes her book before bowing to the king and leaving. Sure he didn't see her bow and leave, she was just showing her respect to him.
Now walking down the hallway of the castle, she passes some guards on duty, patrolling the halls. Not long after leaving the throne room, she makes it to her personal chamber and walks inside. Laying against her door, closing it, she sighs in relief. "Finally...Peace and quiet." Walking over to her bed, Olivia sits down and opens her book, continuing to read. Then suddenly...
"Ha-ha-ha-ha!" The whole room shook, startling Olivia as she held onto the bed until the shaking stopped. Realizing the laughter was from the king himself, with the shaking being caused by him hitting the arm of the throne, the newt sighed. "Great..." She mumbled, she couldn't stand Andrias' laughter sometimes. It's not only loud it's also noisy, just enough to make the castle feel like it's a boat sailing on the rapids.
All she wanted is peace and quiet, is it so hard to ask? Looking outside her window Olivia sees the forest nearby, outside the walls of Newtopia. With a hum, Olivia smiled and thought to herself. "A walk in the forest would be peaceful." Looking over at her closet, she gets up from her bed and opens the wardrobe, reaching in and grabbing a cloak. Putting it on she brings the hoodie up to hide her face and exits her room.
Minutes Later
With the front gates open, Olivia walked towards them, only to be stopped by a guard. "M'Lady, are you sure you don't need a snail transport?" After being asked, she smiled and told him. "I'm sure. I'm merely going to the grove for a few hours. I won't be far." This earned her a nod from the guard along with a bow. Olivia knows this guard and the others on patrol are only doing their job, they want to keep everyone here safe and sound. With that, she walks out, stepping into the ankle-deep water.
"Thank goodness this cloak's water resistant." Olivia thought as she walks through the water carefully, following the shallow path as she did several times in the past. Within minutes, she makes it to the forest where she pulls down her hoodie and begins looking around. She sees flowers, trees, mushrooms, bugs, and many other things this forest has to show. Breathing in the fresh air, Olivia sighed heartily. "So beautiful."
Pulling out the book she brought with her, she sits down on a rock shaped like a divan lying against a tree and begins reading the book. This is exactly what she needed. After spending almost more than 5 minutes reading until she heard something in the distance. "Gah!" With an alarmed gasp, Olivia looked in the Direction where the sound was coming from. "What was that!?" She thought, heading towards the sound, slowing down the closer she got.
"Grr...Ow-ow-ow! Oh, Crud!" Someone shouted, revealing herself to be a girl. Olivia soon picked up speed, knowing now it's a frog, toad, newt, or whoever it was that was in trouble. Making it to a clearing, out of caution, Olivia snuck her way behind a shrub and peeked out from it. Discovering the source, she gasped with her eyes wide, seeing it wasn't any of the amphibians she was expecting. It was instead a human, which she doesn't know about, a teenager to be more specific that looks to be around her height.
The teen had messy auburn hair with two leaves and a branch sticking out of it, almost looking like an antler. The irises in her eyes were dark brown while her complexion was a light brown. And from what Olivia can describe, she's wearing an obscure gray t-shirt with a purple collar and a shield on the chest with the acronym "SJMS" on it, along with a purple skirt, gray socks, and a yellow sneaker on her left foot. The same foot that's caught in a vine trap, the plant in question being durable and covered in thorns, digging into the ankle, making it bleed.
"Why did I use the vine with thorns?" The teen asked herself, gripping her leg in an attempt to stop the bleeding, only making her hiss in pain. This made Olivia feel bad for the teen, making her becoming concern about her. Sure she doesn't know what it is but she can't leave it there to suffer. Just as she leaves the shrub and approaches the teen, just in time to see her grabbing a sharp rock. "Well...Maybe I could-"
"Excuse me?" Hearing that voice, the teen looks to see Olivia and screams, holding the sharpened rock like a projectile about to throw it. "Wait, wait! I mean you no harm" Hearing that while keeping her guard up, the teen examines the newt and is surprised to see it wasn't an oversized bug or some type of beast. "Sorry..." The teen began with a sigh, putting the rock down. "I...I didn't expect to see anybody out here." She shook her head when she finished.
Seeing that she's calm now, Olivia approaches her and checks her leg. "Hmm...Your ankle is covered in cuts along with bruises but other than that you should be ok." The newt then rips off a thorn, making a gash in the vine before tearing it from there, freeing the teen from the trap, reliving her from the thorns that dug in her flesh. "I think I have the right medicine to treat your leg." Informed Olivia after analyzing her leg.
"You do?" The teen asked as Olivia offers her hand to help her up, which she did. "Yes, but it's back at the castle. Luckily we aren't far from it." Wrapping the teen's arm around her shoulders, Olivia asked her. "Do you trust me?" The girl hummed and answered. "Considering you didn't try to eat me, saved my leg from my own trap, and are being really nice to me...Then yes, I trust you." She smiled a bit at Olivia who began leading her to Newtopia.
Soon
Before going to Newtopia, they took a short break inside a hollow tree big enough for the two of them. With a fire made for the teen since she's been out in the forest for days, staying warm, Oliva checks the girl's leg again as she sits on a rock, making sure it's ok. Thankfully there are no signs of infection or any form of damage.
"Thank you." Said the girl, looking at Olivia who looks at her. "Welcome...Now, please tell me, who are you? And what are you doing around here? I've...never seen your kind before." Olivia asked, looking at the human who smiled. "I'm...Anne Boonchuy...I'm a human being from another world and I'm...Not sure how I got here." The teen known as Anne shook her head looking down. "One minute I'm celebrating my birthday, the next I find myself here."
Anne looks out of the opening of the tree where the forest stretches far and wide. "I've been out here for days without food and water...Well, the food and water I'm familiar with." Anne regained her memory of eating some things that were closest to the food she could find while in the forest. With a sigh of sadness, she leans back and tells Olivia. "After some time, here by myself, I get the feeling I might not be able to go back."
Looking at her, Olivia can see she's honest, the sadness in her eyes shows she speaks truly. She couldn't believe that Anne's from another world, a world where a species called humans exists. "Well...that suspends my doubts. She's harmless." Olivia thought, looking at Anne. "I'm not letting her stay here in this forest to fend for herself, even after she's healed. There's a high chance she'll starve or be eaten alive...Or worse." While the newt was in her thoughts, she didn't notice Anne examining her again before smiling.
"So..." Anne clears her throat and asks. "What's your name...Cutie?" Broken out of her thoughts, Olivia looks at her with a deep red on her cheeks. "Excuse me?" She asked to see if she heard her right. Anne giggled and repeats her question. "I said, what's your name...Cutie." Hearing that made Olivia blush more, wondering if humans in her world know what that term means. "D-Don't call me cutie...I'm Lady Olivia." She revealed her name to Anne before adding. "I care for this world and its nature. I'm also the king's advisor in Newtopia...I'm also a newt."
Anne nods after hearing everything. "That's cool...Wait, if you're working for a king, why are you doing here in the forest?" She asked, which Olivia sighed. "I wanted to get some peace and quiet away from the castle..." Standing up, the newt walks over to the human offering to help her up again so they can continue to the castle. When Olivia helped Anne stand, she got a better look at her height, realizing she only reaches up to her chest.
"Hey...I think my leg is getting bet-!" Anne suddenly felt a jolt of pain go through her left leg, making her let out a cry. As her leg buckled, Olivia urgently held and kept a grip on Anne to help her stand. "Nevermind..." She said, keeping her arm around the newt who gets her out of the tree. "Please tell me the medicine will reduce the pain in my leg." She asked Olivia who answered. "Kind of, it'll feel as though you never hurt your leg." Hearing that gave Anne ease. "Good to know...Hey, besides medicine, is there food too?" She asked, bringing up more questions as they continue walking.
Minutes Later
"What about a bed? Please tell me there's a bath-" Before Anne could finish, Olivia shushes her, covering her mouth. "Shh! Keep your voice down!" She warned quietly. "We're close to Newtopia and there might be guards nearby. If they see you, they might attack you!" Removing her hand from her mouth, Anne nodded with an embarrassed blush. "Ok, ok...Sorry."
Olivia looks over at the entrance and sees guards outside the Newtopia gate, shocking Anne who noticed the large barriers around the place. "Whoa...Is that...?" She got a nod from Olivia. "Yes. It's Newtopia, my home." She then removes the cloak from herself and passes it to the human, confusing her. "Ok...Any reason you gave me your cloak?"
"A disguise. If you want to get in without alarming anyone, your appearance needs to be hidden." Olivia told Anne, who looks at the cloak and puts it on covering her face with the hoodie. "Ok, let's good. Just keep your head down and please, don't say anything!" Olivia requested, to which Anne nods to before being led to the gate by the newt.
Crossing the water on the path, with Anne keeping her left leg above the water the two reach the closed gate, which the guards notice. "M'Lady, you've returned...But who's the cloaked one?" The guard from before asked, noticing Anne. "Oh, it's...It's a newt, she hurt her leg on the way here." Informed Olivia who then asks. "Please, open the gate. I need to treat her wounds." Upon hearing this, the guard looks at the one who controls the gate.
"You heard her, open the gate!" As ordered, the gate operator pulled the level, causing it to open up, revealing the protected city. This left Anne in awe, having never seen a city full of anthropomorphic amphibians before. "Wow...It's more than what I expected." Anne exclaimed in a whisper, to which Olivia nodded. "Yes, it's remarkable. Now come on, we need to hurry." With that the two walk or hop a little faster inside, passing amphibians and buildings.
Later
Reaching the castle with none of the guards stopping them for questions, Olivia and Anne made it inside. Walking down some halls, they reached Olivia's room. Heading inside, the said newt peeks out the doorway to make sure nobody saw them and closes the door behind them. "We made it." Sighed Olivia before facing Anne. "Now then, please-"
Suddenly Anne falls to her knees, unable to catch her fall due to the furniture being far from her reach, surprising Olivia. "Miss Anne are you ok!?" She asked, going over and helping her up to her foot. "Y-Yeah...Sorry, my ankle still hurts." Anne winched a little as she's led to the bed and laid down on it, noticing Olivia was looking at her ankle once again, which made her ask. "Uh...Shouldn't a doctor be checking me since we're here?"
"That won't be necessary, besides needing you to be obscured I know how to treat your wound." Olivia continues. "I've treated many in the past. So please, remain here while I get the liniment." As she goes to the bathroom, this gives Anne time to look around and see the room's nice and clean. There's also a couch and a bookshelf, she even noticed the bed she's on was large like the ones back home. Honestly, she thought it'd be small. "She likes to read a lot." Thought Anne as Olivia comes back with the liniment, walking to the bed before sitting next to her. "Please hold still while I apply this on your ankle, ok?"
"Got it." Answered Anne, holding her ankle up Olivia takes off her shoe and sock and starts applying the paste. Now given the medicine, the two watched as the liniment sunk into the cuts, causing them and bruises to fade away in seconds in front of their eyes. "Huh..." Began Anne as she moved her ankle with the aches no longer present, making her smile and look at Olivia. "Thanks, Olivia. The pain was nearly unbearable." Olivia smiles back. "Welcome, Anne. I'd never let anyone suffer. Not on my watch."
When she finished, Anne yawned as her eyelids became heavy. She was suddenly becoming drowsy. "Are you ok Anne?" Olivia asked, getting a nod from Anne who rocked lightly and falls back immediately, falling asleep. Olivia looks down at the girl and thought to herself, discovering why she didn't fall asleep until now. "The pain must have been keeping her awake."
"Mmm..." Anne hummed comfortably in her shuteye state, due to laying on nothing but solid-to-wet grounds for the past nights in this world. As she rests, Olivia took notice of the grime and sweat that caked and glazed parts of Anne's face, arms, and legs. "Poor human..." Thought Olivia with concern. "Judging by the dry muck, she must've been in that forest for about a week." Grabbing her blanket she covers the human below her chin to keep her warm.
Yes, Anne's dirty and might leave some stains on her bed, but Olivia doesn't care. She wants her to rest, the bags under her eyes indicate she hasn't had enough sleep. Olivia needs to find out where Anne came from and she can't if she's barely awake...Or starving, due to the fact she's been asking about nourishment earlier. Just as Olivia's about to exit the room, she stops and looks back at Anne in her slumber, getting a better look at her face.
"Hm, for a species that isn't a part of this world she's...Beautiful." Realizing what she thought, Olivia shook her head and exits the bedroom. With her key she locks the door, making sure to prevent anyone from entering and coming across the human. With that, she walked down the halls.
Later
Now nighttime, inside the bedroom Anne instead of looking to be sleeping like a baby, was now tossing and turning in her sleep. Sweat was running down her face, which looks to be expressing fear and sorrow. "No...No-no-no..." Anne muttered, shaking her head before her eyes shot open. "NOOO!" Sitting up, she began gasping for air, looking around with her expression diverting to confusion. "What, who-where am I?!" It took her a moment to regain memory of the afternoon. "Oh...Right...I'm in this bedroom because of...Olivia? ...Yeah Olivia." Anne then sighed in relief, laying back on the bed and staring up at the ceiling.
"What a nightmare..." Thought Anne with her hand on her head, still having fragments of that nightmare in her mind. Looking at said hand, she brings both of them in front of her and sees that they're very filthy from being in that forest for days. "Ugh...I should take a shower." Getting up from the bed, Anne spotted a big plate near the table close to her. It had food on it along with a folded piece of paper on the side. "Huh...What's this?"
Anne picks up the paper, seeing that it's a note. "Dear Anne- Figured you may be hungry. Please, help yourself to what's presented to you. The bathroom is near the dresser beyond that door, if you want to freshen up." She looks to her side at the bathroom door and back to the note. "Be back soon to check on you. -Olivia." When she finished reading she lowered the paper to look at the food in front of her. What Olivia left her are what look to be a stack of pancakes, sliced roasted beets, and a bowl of berries, with what appears to be milk on the side.
"Well, that's nice of her." Said Anne to herself, sniffing the aroma of the baked, roasted, and fresh foods making her hum. "Smells so good. I-I can't help but...But-" Out of hunger, she started digging into the food with her hands. Grabbing and dipping a pancake in syrup before chomping it down, shoving and chewing up the beet slices, and popping berries into her mouth.
It's been days since Anne had eaten anything...Anything but bugs. She's able to enjoy eating without gagging or plugging her nose at the taste and smell of cooked insects. By the time she ate everything and chugs down the glass of milk, she placed it back on the plate and sighed out of comfort. "Sooo good..." She thought happily before wiping her mouth with a napkin. Anne then brought her interest to the bathroom door.
"Ok, time to get rid of that oily sweat from behind my ears." Anne quivers a little because of that feeling and makes her way to the bathroom. Entering it, she was as amazed as she was when she saw the interior. It was luxurious, the floor was tiled in purple marble, the wallpaper was yellow, the sink has a cabinet underneath, the toilet is bright and shiny with rolls beside it, and there's no bathtub, it's a walk-in shower.
Just then Anne noticed on top of the sink's counter there were PJs that seem to be able to fit her, along with another note. Going over to it, Anne reads it. "Anne- put these pajamas on after your shower. I will take care of your current attire and bring them back to you once they're good as new. Please, I insist. -Olivia." That made Anne smile.
"How thoughtful of her." With that, she took off her clothes and placed them in a hamper. Entering the shower, she turns a few knobs, sighing happily as lukewarm water showers upon her. She grabbed a bar of soap and uses it and the water to wash away the filth she accumulated while in the forest.
Minutes Later
Coming back to her room, Olivia unlocked the door and entered. "Anne?" She called, looking around only to see Anne wasn't in bed, even seeing the food she left was all gone. "Oh good...She's eating." She thought before looking at the plate to see it's practically spotless. "And she didn't leave a crumb." She smiled until she heard the sound of running water.
"Hmm?" Curious, Olivia approaches the bathroom door and listens closely. Hearing the source of the running water, she nods confirming to herself that Anne is in the shower. "Huh, she's still showering." Thought the newt who went over to the bed and sat down on the undisturbed side. Waiting for Anne, however, she noticed a bag on the bed with arm straps and several zippers. "A backpack?"
Holding it up, Olivia looks at it with puzzlement. "Odd...I don't remember Anne carrying this?" She muttered before coming to a conclusion. "It was dark out...Perhaps I couldn't see it." Wanting to respect the human's personal things, Olivia put the backpack back, just in time to hear the water stop. With a smile, the newt stood up and goes to the bathroom door and knocks on it.
"Miss Anne? Are you finished? Need any assistance?" Olivia asked as Anne dries herself with a towel inside, answering her. "No, I'm ok. Thanks though..." There was a pause before Anne spoke again. "Oh and thanks for the pancakes. They were Delicious." The compliment on her food made Olivia blush with a smile. "You're welcome."
After Anne had dried off and got dressed, she exited the bathroom wearing the pajamas Olivia gave her. The said newt tells her. "Since you've finished your shower, please, follow me." The teen does so as they reach a door right next to the shelf of Olivia's personal books. Olivia grabs the knob and turns it, opening the door and showing Anne the inside, leaving her shocked.
"Wait, a guest bedroom...inside of a bedroom!? Get...Out!" Anne exclaimed, causing Olivia to giggle. "Yes, well it's yours. You can stay here as-oh!" Olivia's suddenly brought into a tight hug by Anne who got on her knees to do so, leaving her shocked. Why's the human hugging her? "Umm...Miss Anne are you..." She cuts her off. "Yes, thank you."
Anne pulls away to face Olivia and asks. "But why? I'm a total stranger to you, I'm not from this world...Why help me?" Olivia just stared at her before giving a mild smile, holding her hands she answered. "You're right...You're a stranger, you're not from this world...But I'd never forgive myself if I had left you in that forest alone, it's not in my nature to commit such a heinous act." She then added. "And I can tell you're not deceptive, nor callous."
Anne gave a smile. "Thank you." She then hugs Olivia again, making her face red again as she hugs her back. "You're welcome." The two then pulled away as Olivia walks to the door before stopping. She then turns to look at Anne. "If you need anything. Let me know, but please, don't touch anything that looks important." With that, Olivia left and closed the door behind her as Anne rolled her eyes with a giggle and lays on the bed with a sigh.
"So cozy..." Thought Anne as a question popped into her mind. That question revolves around the king that Olivia mentioned being his advisor. "Huh...Will I meet the king soon?" She asked in her thought before getting her backpack she brought with her into the room, for obvious reasons. Unzipping one of the zippers she reaches in and pulls out a small metallic music box with a wind-up key sticking out the right side. The music box was gold and black, on the gold parts of it had depictions of a frog in tropical woods, seemingly praising three gemstones that were behind an engraved sun.
Even though the gems were gray, deprived of color, they still had some tint left on them. They were each green, pink, and blue, but out of the three, the blue one was cracked. Hesitating, Anne closed her eyes and opened the box, waiting for something to happen...But nothing happened. With a sigh of dismay, Anne closes the box and puts it away in her backpack.
"Great...Looks like I'm gonna be here for a while." Sadness was in her tone as soon pulls out her phone and turns it on in an attempt to find a signal of some sort back on Earth. Unfortunately, none of the contacts were available, making Anne groan and look at the time in the corner of the screen, which revealed to be 12 AM. "At least the time works." She muttered, noticing she took something else out, which is a pic of her and her friends Sasha and Marcy, which made her gasp with her eyes widen. "Oh, crud!"
Sitting up with a hand on her head, looking at the picture Anne thought to herself. "I forgot to ask Olivia if she saw my friends out there!" Getting out of bed Anne ran to the door. "Olivia I wanted to ask if you..." She paused upon opening the door, spotting Olivia with her back turned and humming. The human watched as the newt let her dress fall to the floor, revealing her green bra and undies she wore underneath.
Anne couldn't help but look at Olivia's body that was not too long ago hidden under her dress. It was an amazing sight to gaze upon, for a newt Olivia's figure was flawless. Her blue skin appeared to be soft and smooth as her light blue underbelly rather than scaly, her legs and tail are shaped nicely. With the dress off, Olivia grabbed and puts on a green nightdress, which was sleeveless and seems to only reach her thighs.
"Wo-Wow..." Anne mumbled, making Olivia gasp and turn. As she did Anne hid behind the door, hoping she didn't see her looking in. "Anne? Are you there?" Olivia asked, covering her body with her sheets. With a sigh, Anne opens her door, looking at the ceiling as she answers with a blush. "Yeah...Sorry I...I should've knocked first." Seeing she was trying to give her privacy, Olivia smiled and places her sheets back before sitting on her bed. "It's ok. You just spooked me, that's all. But is there something wrong?"
When asked, Anne looks down at the photo and presents it to Olivia, handing it to her. "Have you seen my friends? Humans like me?" Olivia looks at the picture closely and shook her head. "I'm sorry Anne, but I haven't seen them. The only human I've seen is you." Anne smiled and nodded, telling her. "It's cool. I'm sure they're safe out there...Somewhere." With that, she walks back to the guest bedroom, closing the door behind her. Olivia feels sorry for Anne, she really misses her friends. Looking back at the photo, she thought to herself a crucial question. "Is it possible for them to be here at Amphibia as well?"
Later
With the moon dawning in the night sky, Olivia was sleeping in her bed, until she heard something that woke her out of her sleep. "Huh...?" Opening her eyes she sat up. "Oh for frog's sake, what's that noise?!" She looked around in vexation before hearing the sound coming from the guest bedroom. Concerned she gets out of bed and approaches the guest's door and knocks on it. "Anne?" She curls her hand around her earhole and listens closely, now knowing the noise she heard was...Sobbing? Yes, there was crying coming from the other side of the door.
"Anne?" Olivia asked, opening the door she tapped a mushroom which lit up like a nightlight. "Are you..." She then gasped, seeing Anne tossing and turning, mumbling with tears streaming down her face and droplets of cold sweat appearing around her head. Running to her side, Olivia began shaking her. "Anne-Anne! Wake up!" She wants her to wake up because if she keeps crying it might catch the attention of the guards and perhaps Andrias.
Thankfully the shaking and pleas woke Anne out of her sleep with a gasp and eyes wide. "Huh-wha...Who?" She brought her sight to Olivia immediately, surprising her. "Olivia?" She raised a brow as the said newt nodded with an eased smile. "Yes, it's me." She helped Anne sit up and asked. "But you were crying and moving in your sleep...Are you ok?" In response to her question, Anne looked at her hands and spoke. "I...I don't know..." She answered in a low tone.
"Was it a nightmare?" Olivia asked, getting a slight nod from Anne, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Yes...My friends Sasha and Marcy, t-they...They were scolding me for what happened to them." She looks at Olivia and continues. "They blamed me for how we ended up here, how I was the one that separated us from not only each other but from our families, the world we were born in, and..." Tears formed in her eyes again. "And that I-I'll never bring them back."
That was enough to make Anne break down crying, burying her face in her hands. Hearing what the nightmare was made Olivia sad. Slowly she reached for the human and brought her into a hug, patting her back, saying in a soothing tone. "Shh...There there." Anne noticed this and cried on Olivia's shoulder.
30 Minutes Later
Laying against the pillows, Olivia looks at Anne whose resting her head on the newt's lap, having cried herself to sleep. Rubbing her hair gently she honestly feels bad for Anne, she's been going through a lot within the week she appeared in Amphibia. Away from everyone and everything she cared for, it must be insufferable. With a sigh, Olivia kisses Anne on the cheek and looks at her.
"Sleep well Anne." She whispered with a smile, laying back on the pillows, falling asleep within seconds. As she slept her mind was racing, shouting at her, asking why she did that, why she kissed the human on the head. What Olivia didn't realize though is that Anne was awake, smiling and blushing, having felt the kiss on her face. Laying back down on her lap she snuggles close to the newt and whispers while falling asleep. "You too Olivia...You too."
Later in the Morning
Opening her eyes, being met with light entering the room, Anne sat up from the bed and yawned, talking to herself. "Man what a weird dream...I was in a world full of anthropomorphic newts, one was cute and named..." Getting a better look at the room, she realized it was the guest bedroom she's still in. "Oooof course." Thought Anne, sighing as she begins to look around, seeing Olivia was no longer in the room.
"Huh...Where is she?" Anne asked herself before recalling what happened last night of her resting on Olivia's lap after being comforted by her. She doesn't know why...But she liked it. Olivia's thighs, they were just so comfy, much softer than the pillows she slept on. And her undies, while the human was laying her head on the newt's lap she caught a glimpse of them under her nightie, hugging her waist. Immediately, Anne shook it off, just in time as the door to her room opened up.
Coming through the door was Olivia, holding a fancy tray, in it was breakfast for two, one for Anne and the other for herself. On the tray, Olivia held were eggs, bacon, toast, sausages, hashbrowns, cream cheese bagels, and orange juice. Half of the breakfast had bugs in them, including the juice. Seeing that Anne's awake, Olivia smiled.
"Anne, it's good to see that you're awake. I brought breakfast." Olivia presented said food to Anne, putting the tray on the table near her. Even though it all looks so appetizing, Anne couldn't help but remember something important. "Wait...What am I doing here? My friends could be in trouble." With that thought, she gets out of bed and collects her stuff. Looking at Olivia, seeing she was a bit confused, Anne tells her. "Listen...Thank you for everything...Food, shelter, extra clothes, but I need to go and find my friends before something happens to them."
Just as the human was about to leave, Olivia placed her hand on her chest, stopping her. "Wait Anne." As asked, Anne did so, looking Olivia in the eyes. "It's not an ingenious option to go back out there alone...Trust me, it's too dangerous to travel the open world, especially when there are critters roaming around." When she finished her sentence, Anne was left concern of the rest of this world and knew what she said is right. While out there in the forest she had seen different creatures attacking each other, either out of defending their territory or for their own hunger.
"Besides...You don't need to do this alone." When Olivia said this, Anne looked at her surprised as she then adds. "I can help you find your friends." As she gives an assuring expression, Anne couldn't help but asked her. "Why? Olivia you don't really have to help me, there's no need to-" Just as she was about to exit the room, Olivia blocked it, looking at her. "Anne, I insist. I know several locations out there. Some I know are safe and some are better off avoided. If I come with you, we can find your friends without great drudgery."
Anne looks at Olivia for a good moment, thinking to herself before giving a sigh. "She's persistent." Thought Anne giggling in her thought before looking at Olivia with a smile. "Ok, you can help me. Thank you." Anne then adds. "B-But I promise to pay you back...Somehow." As she sat on the chair, Olivia sat across from her and shook her head. "Oh, there's no need for that. I'm happy to help you without expense."
Olivia looked at Anne who told her. "I know...But since you insist on helping me find my friends, I'll insist on paying you back for assisting me. I'm sure I can figure something out." When she finished, Olivia smiled and nodded. "Ok, but please, take your time." After saying that, she then looked at the breakfast she brought and tells Anne. "We should eat before breakfast gets cold."
"Yeah." Anne agreed, looking at the breakfast, feeling her stomach growl just by the sight of it. It wasn't long until they began eating, Olivia picks the food with bugs in it while Anne for obvious reasons picks the food without the bugs. As they ate, Anne was left amazed at how good the food was. It's almost, if not, better than what's back on Earth, and also slightly different.
The eggs were fried and finely salted, and the bacon and sausages were deeply succulent and meaty. As for the toast, hashbrowns, and cream cheese bagels, they were toasted and had an extra flavor to them...Oh! And the orange juice was greatly zesty and citrusy. Whatever they have in this world that their food is made of, it's delectable, the food practically left Anne daydreaming.
"Delicious is it?" Asked Olivia as she drinks her orange juice, which had a bug's leg sticking out of the cup. Out of her daydream, Anne nodded and continues to eat. While eating, Olivia began a small discussion with Anne as she began. "Excuse me...Anne?" The human stopped eating and looked at the newt, giving a hum while sipping her juice. "Yesterday in the forest, you told me your last name is Boonchuy...Correct?"
"Oh yes, it's the name my family carried for years." Answered Anne when she stopped drinking the orange juice. "A family name..." Olivia said before smiling. "That's nice." Hearing that Anne blushed a little with a chuckle. "T-Thanks..." She went silent for a moment before telling Olivia. "Oh! I-I'm also 13." This honestly surprised the newt, who kinda knew to expect something like that since the human is from a different world and taller than her. "That's pleasant to hear." She then told her. "I'm 18."
Olivia revealing her age as well made Anne choke a little on the bagel she was eating. It seemed it was because of the reveal of Olivia's age, but no, it wasn't that. After Anne had washed down the bagel with the drink, she started speaking. "Wait-wait-wait...You're in your late teens, working in this castle? I'm so jealous!" Amazement was in her tone, making Olivia giggle, but not in a good way. This got Anne's attention as she looked at her with worry. Noticing this, Olivia gave a sigh and looked sad.
"My...Mother worked here." Olivia began. "I used to help her out, learn from her skills, but...S-She passed away when I was still a little newt before I started working here too." She looked down after she finished, having memories of her mother's passing coming back to her. It made Anne feel bad. "Oh...Sorry. I shouldn't have-" Olivia stops her and gives a small smile. "Don't blame yourself, Anne. You're not at fault." Anne looked at her and nodded, returning a mild smile too.
Soon they continue eating, all the while getting to know each other better, such as a favorite hobby or activity. But soon as they finished, Anne gets up and walks over to the bed, sitting down on it. "What are you doing?" Olivia asked, picking up the empty tray as Anne looks at her. "Uh...Getting comfortable. I can't really leave the room. Otherwise, I'll be spotted and caught by the guards." Hearing the sadness in her tone, Olivia rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Don't get comfortable Anne, because I'm going to take you with me to see most of Newtopia, but-" Olivia's cut off by Anne who ran up to her with an excited grin. "Really!? This is so cool! I can't wait to see more-" Quickly Olivia placed her hand around Anne's mouth again, shushing her before telling her. "But...You're going to need to wear that cloak I had you wear. We can't have anyone seeing you. Remember?" Anne nodded, knowing she has to. Though, she was a bit disappointed since she really wanted to explore Newtopia without the cloak, but knows it's the best for her.
Pulling her hand away from her mouth, Olivia told Anne. "Good, now I'll bring you your fresh pair of clothes. And no worries, I made you an extra shoe to replace the one you lost." With that, Olivia left the room humming as Anne watched her leave and thought. "She's really nice to me." Anne then sat down in bed and waited for her clothes.
Meanwhile
While on the way to get Anne's clothes and bring them back to her, Olivia used this time to think to herself about the human. Ever since yesterday when she helped Anne, she took notice of how friendly and cooperative she's been to her. Listening to her, keeping herself hidden as requested, and insisting on returning a favor after she told her she'll help find her friends. "Never have I met anyone like Anne before." Thought Olivia as she looks back at her bedroom door, the only room that connects to Anne's, and smiled a little.
"She's so...Kind."
