Hi everyone! I hope you are okay! I know, it's horrible to make Catherine amnesiac but I found the idea original. Steve, even though he won't admit it, will always worry about her and I figured this time he'd put his SEAL armor aside to fully confront his feelings for her. And even the other way around...

The sentence Catherine had just uttered felt like a punch in Steve's stomach. Because she couldn't remember who he was. Because she couldn't remember what they could have been. And seriously, it freaked him out like crazy.

- "Steve? Cathy?" a voice called out to them.

Steve turned his head and saw a couple on the doorstep. He recognized them at once, they were Catherine's parents.

- "Hello, Elizabeth" greeted her Steve

- "Hello, Steve" she replied

- "Admiral" said Steve to Catherine's father

- "Commander. How's my daughter?" he worried Steve turned his head to Elizabeth, who was talking to her daughter.

Unfortunately, Cath didn't recognize her mother either, and tears rolled down her cheeks. It was at the same moment that the doctor entered the room and made the same observation as the others in the room.

- "I think we can unfortunately say that Miss Catherine Rollins has amnesia. I don't know yet if it will be in the short or long term, but we will be very soon. For the rest, the good news is that she only has a few bruises on her body, but nothing broken".

As he left the room, Steve nodded his head towards Catherine. Her parents were next to her, and he was struck once again by the resemblance Catherine bore to her mother.

She got up and approached him.

- "Find me those who did this to my daughter," she begged.

- "I promise to do my best," Steve promised, and Elizabeth nodded softly.

- "I want my daughter to remember" she whispered

- "Me too," whispered Steve. Me too."

A few minutes later, he came out of the hospital room after greeting its occupants. He walked briskly towards the door. He couldn't stay, it hurt too much.

Steve arrived at the Five-o HQ and saw that everyone was gathered around the smart table. Catherine's picture was posted on it, making her want to run away. Someone had hit her like that, and he swore he would pay for it.

- "How's Catherine? Did she wake up? Lou asked.

- "Yes" Steve blurted out

- "We'll be able to go and question him then" Danny said

- "She doesn't remember. In fact, she doesn't remember anything or anyone. She doesn't recognize her parents and she doesn't recognize me".

A dead silence hung over the room.

- "We're sorry, Steve," Adam said

- "You don't have to be. All we can do right now is find out who did this."

Danny's POV, two days later

Steve is not well. No matter how hard he tries to make people believe otherwise, he's not doing well. He finds it hard to believe that Catherine doesn't remember anything, especially not him. Because even if he didn't say it, Steve had found his soulmate. She's the only girl who makes my best friend shine so much. The worst part of all this is that we are doing nothing. The only thing we know is that Catherine was on an undercover mission and the CIA refuses to tell us what it was. So, the only solution we have left is to ask Catherine, but I think she's going to have a hard time telling us...

- "So, your name is Steve McGarrett, you're a commander in the Navy and you say we've known each other for years?"

Steve nodded. Today, he had decided to go see Cath and try to talk to her about his life, before. It was going to be a complicated task for her but also for him, because he felt like he was being punched in the stomach when she asked him her questions.

"And who am I?" she asked.

"The woman of your life," breathed Steve's conscience, but he pushed that answer out of his head and grabbed Catherine's hand to squeeze it in his.

- "You're Lieutenant Catherine Elizabeth Rollins, and you work at the CIA. You love your country, your family more than anything and you are very brave," Steve replied.

- "That's nice, thank you," she smiled.

Steve looked at the girl in front of him and hoped with all his might that she would regain her memory.

Catherine's POV, Tripler medical center, Honolulu, Hawaii, 4:00 PM

I'm alone in my room again and I'm staring at the ceiling while sighing. Despite the best efforts of "Steve" and my "parents" (I put quotation marks because I don't have anything to prove it) I can't remember anything. They've already asked me if I remember anything, because it looks like I've been assaulted, but it's pitch black. And I'm really worried about that. Because I don't want to start from scratch. I want to remember everything. Good and bad things.
