Welcome everyone to the ''REDO'' of Volume 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn!
Just like REDO Volume 1, this is a super cut version of Volume 2 so many things will be told almost summarized but with new changes too.
Basically think of this as one of those short movies on the recap of anime series like Gurren Lagann. So I will mention and talk about events in DKR and whatnot but quick, fast, FAST! Just FAST. Not kidding!
NOW… I've said this many times in the first REDO: I WOULD NOT DO A REDO OF VOLUME 2… But I changed my mind. Due to 1 thing… So here I am.
So let us get started. Also how many chapters? Less than 10… MUCH LESS. Like 5-7? Also it will take much less time so I can work on DKR Volume 6.
Volume 2 REDO: Prologue: The Father of Dragons
Breathing heavily as he returns back to Equalord Enterprise, the damaged Akumu Momomiya sits on his throne chair. He lets out a deep breath out, closing his eyes to relax. He has multiple bruises and bleeding marks from his last fight against Yugi, hoping to take him out when he was vulnerable only to get jumped by his allies and then his army of 1000 Dark Dragon Hunters were obliterated by the summons of the giant dragon, King Pendragon.
Normally he would be mad; Akumu wasn't so much. In fact, he smirks as this pain will become energy and let his body adapt back to its former glory before he was sealed away. The time in that dimension, in that prison; suppressed and demolished almost all of his power and his mind; explaining why he became that feral being at the start of the story. But because of this, his niece suspects who he is as well as the brat. He has to fix that and get his niece on his side.
''My lord.'' Akumu's eyes open half way open, narrowing them towards Dark General Knight. He breathes again, questioning him slightly irritated. ''What is it, my general? Mad that I went alone when I was clearly not ready yet?''
Dark General Knight isn't mad at his decision as he speaks his mind. ''No, I respect whatever decision you make that you believe is right.''
Akumu eyes him and cracks a smirk, thanking him. ''I appreciate it.'' He then notices his general is still concerned. He groans as he questions him. ''Then what is it?''
''… I… I was contacted by your father.'' Dark General Knight reveals with a shaken voice. Akumu widens his eyes partly before he becomes stern with a frustrated frown. He really wants to avoid talking to… him but he has no choice; it's been too long.
''… I do have questions for him.'' Akumu proclaims as he orders his fateful general. ''Leave us.''
Dark General bows and poofs into dark waves. Akumu begins to inhale a deep breath before he focuses; his body radiating in black aura.
''…'' He closes his eyes, relaxing deeply with a deep exhale. ''SIGH…'' He remains silent as the world around him turns pitch dark. He soon opens his firm brown eyes and utters out calmly. ''… What do you want…'' As he stares upon a glowing of a giant humanoid armored figure, resembling a dragon with large demonic teeth, face shoulders and a long black cape. His main face resembles a helm-like dragon head, gazing down with its sharp, small red eyes. ''King Darkness.''
The king-like entity, his arms crossed, begins shifting in a strange glow across its body, an illusion but he's very much real in this dimension.
''I expect you to call me as your God, your Overlord, no less your own Father, Darkus.'' The armored dragon spoke with a demeanor voice, power flowing through him. Akumu gazes coldly that he called him that name; the true name of the Dark Lord.
''Then again, you're not going by that name. Why?'' The dark dragon king begins to question him, reflecting on his greatest loss. ''Was it because of your defeat by the previous Dragon Knight, Takao Mutou, and one of my wife's many dragon children, Dragonic?''
''…'' Akumu doesn't answer him, scowling angrily as he remembers that day. It was supposed to have gone easy; a victory to kill the Dragon Knight of that era before he, the Darkness Emperor, returned. However, he underestimated him and his comrades; losing and worst sealed away by that annoying purple scaled lizard. He screwed up and was trapped away for too long, lowering and weakening him that he's still struggling to recover his strength.
The Overlord is aware of it as he reminds him the importance of his name, of his birthright. ''Your name gives you grander power, the true power of darkness. Simply utterly it will restore you at-''
''I… Never needed that name.'' Saying those words with disgust, Akumu protests with a deep, dark voice as he gazes at him. Just doing what he wants is basically pledging his allegiance to his will. He will be his own master!
The dark dragon scoffs deeply but with a sense of pride rather than disappointment, proclaiming. ''I respect your pride. You're the first Dark Lord to hold something with devotion, just like the first. It is why I have a sense of pride for you… unlike the others, no less Sufferess.''
Akumu growled when he said that last name. Sufferess; a name that brings any conversation to become dreadful and merciful.
''But the name of Darkus is a name of terror and absolute darkness. It is the name that all know well and all should fear.'' He then reveals, aware of the great power his name has if he simply lets it awaken within him.
Akumu tries to ignore that temptation as he instead questions his visit. ''What do you want to talk to me about?''
The Overlord snickers deeply as he reminds him. ''Remind you, of course. To control the universe and spread the name of Darkness. To take back the world of these vile mortals and bring back the Age of Dragons. Simple and to the point.''
Akumu rolls his eyes; the same old.
''I haven't found him any of your pieces.'' He tells him, not having time to search for them. The king is aware and responds calmly. ''Do not worry about them. We have time to find my missing parts. Deal with the Dragon Knight first.''
''I'll deal with him with my own abilities and on my own time! And only when I'm at all my full power!'' Akumu proclaims strongly, going to use all of his power to end him. The dark king looks at him and sighs as he respects his wishes. ''Very well, Darkus.'' His eyes then glow brighter as his shoulder mouths open, howling as they release devastating waves of dark power, shaking the fabric of the void, that even cause Akumu to tremble. This was the power of a God who rules over the darkness.
''But do not fail me. Failure doesn't suit you, my child.'' The Overlord warns him firmly, not wanting him to lose again. This enrages Akumu as the king snickers deeply and declares as his body begins to fade away. ''We will be in touch.''
Soon everything reverts back to what Akumu's office looked like as the Dark Lord breathed heavily, sweating. It has been too damn long seeing him and he's still an opposing force. His body still resembles, horrified by what he felt; true darkness.
''My lord.'' Dark General Knight reappears when he feels something is wrong with him but Akumu ensures him, calming down. ''I'm fine.'' He calms down, sitting more relaxed on his throne. ''… Tell me the progress on Deep Blue.''
The dark knight bows as he informs him of what his spies reported back. ''The aliens have yet to revive him but they're getting close.''
Akumu cracks a smirk; another figure he hasn't seen in a long time but unlike the Overlord; he's a speck. Even to him once he's back at a stronger state. However, to Yugi; that would be different if not a chance to test the boy.
''Let them bring him back. That will either lead to the Dragon Knight's death or lets him push his limits.'' The Dark Lord announces, believing that will benefit him either way.
The Dark General understood the part of letting the alien's so-called god to get rid of the boy but it surprises him that his lord wants Yugi to win.
''My lord, why?'' He asks, having a suspicion but he wants to be sure. Akumu looks at him, not answering him at first but ultimately answers him. ''… I must regain my full power again, to fully become whole without relying on that damn legacy, that damn bloodline.''
Akumu squeezes the ends of his arm and legs of his throne chair, growling deeply as his eyes shift into the more demonic dragon eyes. ''I have to…'' And that resistance might not last as one day... he will have to make this choice. So will he be ready to accept this chain of a name or die again and fail in his mission of creating his ideal world.
Dark General Knight understands now and suspects as much. His lord wants to prove that no one controls him; that he controls his own fate. To not be bound as a loser with no life.
''Of course my lord.'' He respects his wishes as he will follow him faithfully. ''I will follow you till the end.''
Akumu smirks, appreciating his loyalty. That's why he's his general, his best man.
''Thank you. Now… let me rest.'' Akumu utters softly as he closes his eyes and begins to rest, needing it for the next part of his plan. ''I have a tournament to compete on.''
The Dark General bows and leaves, going to handle the Dragon Knight on his own while his lord rests. Akumu sleeps, sitting on his chair almost in a meditation state but has an evil smirk across his face; dreaming of his conquest of the Earth, of the cosmos, of the universe… and Ichigo will be on his side. He will… for her family after all.
