The sky was stormy, Bourto, Kawakii, and Himawari gathered around a futon holding their dear father. "When I said I wish you died, I didn't mean it!" Bourto yelled, fat ugly tears running down his face—a fight within the family, A fight outside as well. Naruto Uzumaki was dying. Bourto had yelled horrible things at him when he missed his birthday. Naruto had left and stopped an assassination attempt. The thing is Kurama was free now and gone to a better place, in eternal slumber, and the blade was poison. "Wake up old man, you can't go like this, you can't leave me!" Bourto screamed to his father's deaf ears. If he could shut up with the insults, he would but they kept spilling from his ungrateful mouth. He hated it.
Kawakii wasn't even Naruto's child but he couldn't help feeling the tightening around his heart. He hated it. He wanted it gone. Small tears streamed from his face as he slumped beside Naruto. After all he had done for him, the least he could do was stay beside him. "Though I tried to kill you when we met, you still tried to take care of me..please ...wake up," Kawakii mumbled, tightening and loosening his grip on the draining warmth of Naruto's arm. "Wake up…..wake up ...dad…please" Kawakii squeaked out his voice equivalent to a child who watched their parental figure get killed. "Shut up…you can't call him that '' Bourto growled out before pouncing on Kawakii and wrestling, screaming something about how Naruto is his and Himawari's dad, not Kawakii's. They both were eventually dragged out by Hinata.
Speaking of Himawari, she watched from the corner, not moving, just thinking. Her dad was going to get better, he had to get better. Her brothers, yes she considers Kawakii one of her brothers, they were stupid. She got closer when her mom dragged her brothers out. She was stupid for not wanting to be beside Dad. "Papa, When you wake up. We'll go see that Ninja play you and I always wanted to see. We'll eat ramen and tell amazing stories about the play and your past. We'll daydream about the future. And then well taunt Big Brother's because it will be just me and you." Himawari, her voice awfully cherry, her smile big, and her eyes closed. Her hands cupped together, the air of innocence fills her aura. Of course, her face drops when she gets no response.``please wake up.." Himawari whispers, the air of optimism dispersing fast.
It seems like some god heard her plea. Naruto's eyes open. "I…sorry" Naruto wheezed out. "I….cannot…cannot go on" He gasped out again and again. His eyes are devoid of the spark that Himawari came to know and love, wanting to inspire it to make it burn brighter. "But you have to." Himawari started, Her eyes burning with spark, causing Naruto to look at her wide-eyed and in pain. "You told me that you need to fight until you can not fight anymore. So fight, prove to me that you are hokage for a reason." Himawari said sitting beside a wide-eyed Naruto. Naruto smiled and closed his eyes. Himawari smiled back her spark growing. "I'll show you why I am an Uzumaki," she said, leaving as she heard steady breaths from her father.
That was 3 years ago, Himawari an Anubu at just 10, Her mask a fox, with three whiskers on each cheek, sits beside her skinny father, has long hair, reduced to a breathing skeleton. "You held on so long father, please rest," Himawari whispered carefully lying on her father and listening to the slowing heartbeat. "I'm proud…..proud of my daughter….wife…..sons…..i…love…." Naruto croaked out each word becoming softer with breath. Naruto could feel his heart slowing. His vision was fading fast. He didn't want his last scenery to be a white ceiling, so he turned to look at his daughter. Himawari, taking after Hinata in figure but her hairstyle was styled after Naruto. Her eyes were Naruto's too. Her soft smile was accompanied by tears forming in those eyes he gave her. "Beautiful" was Naruto's last words. Himawari couldn't hold it back anymore. For the first time, she screamed and cried, sobbing as the dead face of her father smiled at her, one last tear going down his face. For the first time, Hinata came in before paralyzing herself at the door when she realized her husband was dead, and not once had she visited him, hell did she even take care of him? She couldn't remember, it was always Himawari who gave him his medicine and food and water. Hinata slumped to the floor, Naruto's gone and she had the nerve to not be the wife she was supposed to be.
The brothers are at the funeral, Bourto is dressed in a black suit with his dad's old jacket over it, and Kawakii is dressed in a dark orange suit with black highlights, a tribute to Naruto. The brothers had stopped fighting each other sometime during the 2 years their father was alive. They went their separate ways, Kawakii took off to help Kohona's relationships with other nations (that Boruto made rocky with his cocky attitude.), while Boruto sulked and trained to be the strongest ninja but ultimately became known as the bum son of the Hokage around Kohona when he gave up. Then Himawari showed up and everyone called her the prodigy of Kohona, she was expected to become the next Hokage. She wore her mask with a black dress and had a bouquet of Daffodils, Rain Lilies, Lotuses, and Cherry Blossom. "Papa. Because of my greed, you suffered 3 years to stay alive for me." Himawari whispered, her voice barely audible from years of silence. "It was inhuman to make you suffer for me, though most of the time you were asleep, I'm still happy that you tried for me." she continued. Because of her mask, no one could see her tears. But they were there. The rest of the Anubu could sense it. Their prodigy is crying.
Hinata, the wife who considered her husband dead after the poisoning. Hinata the wife who only cared about luxury, and Hinata the disowned Hyuuga. All names are given by the people, more like spat at her face. "If you see her in the street, walking by herself, talking to herself, have pity." Voices whisper as she walks around in her black funeral dress, looks of disgust and pity where the common look is thrown at her. "She is working through the unimaginable." The Voices of Pity sing to her. She hated it but, she supposes she deserved it.
From heaven, a blond watched the fall out of his family. He was proud of his daughter, but correctly upset because she is ten and deserves to live out her childhood days. "I'm sorry…This is not how you were supposed to go." Kami, the goddess said, sitting beside Naruto watching with him. "I Lived long enough, my life was amazing" Naruto chirped, the 'when I became Hokage' was left unspoken. "How about we make a deal? I send you back In time and you live the life the way you want, marry who you want, or stay single with no consequences." Kami said as she floated over to a glowing orb. "Alright….what's the catch," I said as I floated over to the orb. "You become the new fox beast, you're immortal, you are a god,…"Kami said, embellishing the great things then going quiet as she grabbed me. "You can't die...unless you're sealed…you watch all your friends, new and old die one by one." Her voice was soft but breaking. "But wouldn't people easily catch on if I don't age or die?" I said sitting cross-legged on a cloud seat she summoned for me. "True, so you can age and pretend to die, transferring your soul into a clone you make, keeping your knowledge and powers," Kami said as a matter of fact. I thought for a moment, then nodded. "Fine but I won't be Hokage, I will be an Anubu, I will be anything but a Hokage," I said standing up and holding out my hand to shake Kami's. She smiles, "Maybe not now, but in one of your many reincarnations to come, you will be." She said, shaking my hand, setting her and my hand on fire. Golden of course. As my vision fades, I see Kami smile and mouth "Live on". The world goes dark.
I woke up laying on the dingy bed I called mine when I was younger. I sat up and looked around. I was home. My messy old home. I cringed at the smell of body odor and rotten ramen and started cleaning up, Opening the window and airing out the place. I also saw that my outfits consisted of an Obnoxiously bright orange and black two-piece jumpsuit, an overly large black and white sweater, A pair of black, Blue, white, and light orange socks,1 black, 1 white, 1 blue pair of shorts, underwear and a black mesh t-shirt and 2 pair of green cargo pants. I immediately burned the orange jumpsuit, shuddering at that monstrosity that I used to wear. I got a knock at my door and without waiting for me to answer, Hokage-Jiji let himself in. "I got word that the Chakra on the Nine-tail disappeared, so I came to check on you. It's surprisingly clean today, did something happen?" He said looking around my house for something, probably traps or any indication of what caused me to lose the Nine-tail chakra. "Nothing, Sir I simply talked with the fox and came to an agreement." I saluted before standing at attention. Of course that confused Jiji and made him shudder, which I can say I somewhat enjoyed. "An agreement? Can you tell Jiji what He said?" The Hokage said in a stupid voice, looking back he used the I'm talking to an undeveloped child voice with me often, why did I let that slide, I have no idea. "I am perfectly capable of understanding adult words jiji, don't treat me like a child anymore. I also am not obligated to tell you anything that doesn't endanger Kohona. The agreement doesn't endanger Kohona." I huffed and the third Hokage went wide-eyed. I never talked back to him, that will change now.'I will rise, I will fly, chase the wind, and touch the sky in this life.' I thought as I saw the Hokage process what I did. "what-you-child!-I am Hokage!" Jiji shouted, his face turned red with either embarrassment or anger. I don't care. He also saw the burnt jumpsuit, his face showing he was giving up on trying to understand me. He shook his head as he left. I also remembered today was the start of the academy and the reason why I was late was because I was sleeping in, cause Jiji said I could. I scoffed at that thought, he wanted me to fail, didn't he? I put on the mesh and cargo pants with the black socks. My hair was down and I left out my signature goggles. I also remember I was technically a god so I summoned some black ink balls and made mascara out of them. I was stunned to learn that I look so damn good with winged eyeliner on. I hopped on the roof, trees, and fences and got to the academy before the crowd started. I saw Sasuke, sulking. "You're Sasuke right," I said holding my hand out for him to shake. He glared but I kept talking. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, everyone hates me for something I can't control, I'll tell you later, I am also an orphan, I lost my parents too, maybe not like you did but they were killed," I said with a sad smile, he looked at me with wide eyes. "Im sasuke, Nice to meet you." He shook my hand. "If you need anything, you can talk to me. I live in the apartment building next to your compound, so we can walk together after school." I said as I walked away. He nodded and went back to sulking, though this time he had a small smile.
As I swung on the swing that I normally sat and sulked on, people started coming, including Kiba who started yelling at Sasuke about being his rival, Ino who started screaming about her Sasuke-kin, and Sakura who screamed at Ino for claiming her Sasuke-kun. I smiled as I remembered that in the past I would have done anything to get Sakura's attention. I chuckled and stopped swinging, blending in with the rest of the crowd as Iruka yelled at the talking kids to shut up with his big head Jujitsu. After watching the kids shuffle into the building after Sasuke, I joined the line and walked in with a cold expression that put Sasuke's icy stare to the test. 'This is the start of the storm that is known as Anubu Naruto Uzumaki-no, Anubu Firefox Uzumaki' I thought as I grinned as the school door closed behind me, marking the beginning of my new life.
